Hi Ed's.
Did we or have we ever had any interest in Jamaal Lascelles of Newcastle. Seen him play about 10 times this season and looks fairly steady and could be a good signing if we get rid of Lovren, Klavan or Matip and could be a good partner along side VVD if we don't want to pay a fortune, probably a 35-40 million pound payer.

{Ed001's Note - when he was at Forest we did. You obviously haven't watched him that closely or you would see why he is at Newcastle and everyone else dropped interest. He makes mistake after mistake after mistake. People seem to forget that he made the mistake leading to a chance after he throws his body in the way of a shot that should never have been allowed in the first place. He makes Lovren seem reliable.}

ed have we looked at Matthijs de Ligt at all looks like he is going to be a star for years to come, and he might like to link up with VVD at club level.

{Ed001's Note - I never said we were moving for him. I said we have watched him. I have also pointed that I don't expect us to buy any centre backs this summer, including De Ligt.}

I was basing my opinion on 10 games not 1 Ed001, but thanks for your opinion and reply any way.
{Ed001's Note - and I was talking about over the course of his career, it is why the scouts all watched him but no one went for him other than Newcastle.}

If we are going to chase any English defender it should be Ben Mee in my opinion.

We need to get ideally a CB a GK and CDM this summer. Worst case we need to get a CB and CDM.

De ligt is also being looked at by numberous top European clubs ie Barcelona etc.

I think Ben Mee is a good defender too nostra. Not flashy anywhere but a decent player no less.
