Good Morning from Canada Ed's. Not to just throw out random names, but could Liverpool look to the likes of Aymeric Leporte at CB?
I don't watch a lot of La Liga however I am curious why he hasn't made the move to a side bigger than Bilbao.
Thanks again Ed's for your time, always appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - Good afternoon from Paris Lock. Aymeric Laporte is very happy where he is and Basque clubs like to keep their players - albeit he is an honorary Basque. Prior to an injury a move to Manchester City was agreed, and even though they remained interested once he recovered he was not so keen on the move. However, there have no been discussions with another side but no agreement just yet - but it is possible he could even move in January. Liverpool has shown no interest in Aymeric Laporte.}

Thanks again ED! Of the little I have seen of him, I liked what I saw! Cheers!

Good morning all
Wanted the eds thoughts on our Midfield area next season. Obviously we have Keita arriving and very likely Phil and Emre leaving. Do you think we will look to bring in another one to replace Phil? Or try and use Lallana and Gini? Of which I must say neither would be anyway near as affective as Phil.

{Ed001's Note - I expect a replacement, we spent the end of the summer trying to replace Coutinho.}

Any ideas on whom we might look to ed, or is it a case of what's already been said?

{Ed002's Note - Rafinha is out injured but will be offered to Liverpool - for reasons I don't understand he is another Klopp likes. I think unlikely but we'll see. Thomas Lemar - could be a possible Coutinho replacement next summer but there is interest from elsewhere and another club working for an early agreement.}

Lallana and Gini to replace arguably the best playmaker in the league? Really? Coutinho is not any ordinary midfielder. He is the only playmaker we have and Rafinha is nothing like Phil. Lemar would be a decent shout, but I guess it will depend on CL qualifications.

Lemar makes sense to me - can play midfield or cover the wing if required and good on set pieces, so covers much of what Coutinho brings to the team if he leaves.

What kind of midfield should we brought to partner keita?

Would we have another look at Brandt? I know he currently plays as a forward but, from the little I've seen of him, his style looks very similar to coutinho's.

Ed002, is it possible Max Meyer or Maxime Lopez could be back in the frame cone next summer? Lopez looks a real handful this season.

{Ed002's Note - MM possibly but not ML.}

Thank you your reply Ed002. I guess others could well be considered seens as the Summer is a long way off. Rafinha is one I wouldn't of considered tbh as he hardly ever plays, am I right in saying he hasn't really pushed on from when he was seen as a great player at an early age? Is it Arsenal looking for a deal with Lemar?

{Ed002's Note - Rafinha has been and still is injured. Arsenal remain very keen on Lemar.}

Better to scout the Brazilian league thoroughly for hidden gems. Who knows? We might unearth one!

Havent we been recently linked with Kai Havertz good young cm player at Leverkusen currently.
I would assume the backroom is fully aware of the two players leaving or at least looking like they will leave and will be planning for that.
Lemar and Havertz would be good replacements along with the agreed arrival of Keita.
Johnathan Tah can hopefully find some progression again this season as he could be very good.

{Ed002's Note - Kai Havertz is a child and not first team material for LFC at this time. I don't know what the backroom is.}

Careful ed2 Alan Hansen still doesn't live down a comment on them lines ;-)
Backroom ie none playing staff.

{Ed002's Note - ok then, I have no idea what the non playing Liverpool staff knows of German players. You seem to have quite a strange idea how the club functions. Is Hanson Liverpool’s back door man?}
19 Oct 2017 21:57:14
Its a common term ed,
None playing staff ie the guys who don't fo on the pitch and kick the ball round. you know people like Klopp and the transfer guys etc etc not really strange to expect that lol.

Really don't see why some of the fans on here's fascination with Brandt, I'm getting quite sick of his name popping up tbf lol. Sure the boy's got potential but don't a lot of young players nowadays! He's not exactly lighting the bundesliga up for Leverkusen is he? And for one guy above to say he's got a similar style to Coutinho is completely wide of the mark, replacing Coutinho like for like will be a hell of a task although I do like Thomas Lemar and also Taison from Shakhtar.

Hello chaps and chappettes, only asking for your opinions as I know no one knows for sure. Do ya’s think mane will be allowed go away with his national team after being called up and does this mean he mightn’t be out for as long as first thought.
