Hi Ed's,

Is Gaston Ramirez likely or just wishful because of Suarez and Coates supposedly talking him into a move? And did we approach Man.City over A.Johnson at all and if we did what was their reaction? Were we hours or minutes from striking a deal perhaps? And I do understand that City would have to find a replacement before selling him mind.

Thankss, LG. {Ed001's Note - Ramirez is possible rather than likely, his club don't want to sell him, we would need him to request a move. As for Johnson, we spoke to City and were told that they will keep us abreast of his situation but they were not willing to sell him at the moment. I am told that Mancini doesn't want him, he doesn't think Johnson is professional enough off the pitch and that Johnson does not work hard enough in training. City are actively seeking a replacement for him.}

Do we really want a player who is unprofessional of the pitch and does not work hard in training,? i know he can be a great player but if he comes to liverpool his attittude has to be right, will some of our fans see it as liverpool picking up citys cast offs and if so will they be happy bout that?, personally i think he could give us something but like i said he has to want to come and if he gets here he has to work hard and be the player we probably all know he could be.

Maybe his attitude might change playing for a big club, rather than one pretending to be!

Tommy, you really wanna rely on Mancini's views? I mean, come on, the man blew more than 20 million on Mario Madman ballotelli, the man is crazy as a nuthouse;

hi eds is there any truth in the rumours about polo the young peruvian striker,apparently he's coming over in november for a months trial,have you heard anything
paul {Ed001's Note - that is all I know of him, that he has been offered a trial. Never heard of him before that though. Unless something changes he should be coming over for the trial, his agent said it had been agreed.}

I actually heard about this from summer but couldnt understand why it never hit the media at the time

That polo he's mint

Apparently, he plays in the hole...

I heard he's a real prankster and horses around in training.

Ed i know it is unlikely but do you think if carrol kept not playing and diddn't really try like he did last night that he could be sold in january or the summer? {Ed001's Note - no I don't think he will go, he was bought for the long term.}

Ed do you reckon that maxi and kuyt could leave in jan? If they did could you see us buying people to replace either of them eg lucas moura/lavezzi etc? {Ed001's Note - unlikely to happen in January, but if the right offers come in they will be allowed to leave. I doubt either of those players you have named will be targeted myself, more likely Luuk De Jong if Kuyt goes.}

Hi Edd's do you think we could get iker munian if we went for him? Also are we likely to bid for adam johnson if city are willing sellers? thanks {Ed009's Note - Iker Muniain is young but would be incredibly pricey. He would cost upwards of 20 or 25 million unfortunately. Adam Johnson has recently come out as happy with his bench role, but he performed badly last night and was dragged off at half time. Clearly City do not have huge patience in the player and should he become readily available, we could well enter in for him next summer.}

Before half time

Square tomato

Buy Iker Muniain instead leave A.Johnson enuf with the scraps. lets spent our money on match winners game changers, crowd pullers. we shld take chances on our reserves not on players that cost so much money.

Ed do you know if we still have an interest in moussa sissoko since the summer window? {Ed009's Note - I think that interest could be rekindled next summer, as Comolli continued to look at him even after Adam and Henderson were brought in. Don't expect any move in January though.}

Hello All,

Heres one for you guys, Not a rumour but a interesting fact, possibly for the future anyway. Truthfully, i cant see it happening for a couple of seasons but i think it could be a good shout for the future..

Ive been told that John Flannagan has been playing in a central midfield role in training over the last couple of months with the coaches seeing Flanno as a future option in midfield. Im taking it the theory is that Martin Kelly will cement his palce at right back and with the ability Flannagan has with his speed, movement, passing ability, not forgetting to mention hes not sy of a tackle you can probably see why they see him as a future candidate for that position. Again, i am only being told this but i would welcome any thoughts!

Adzii

Interesting. Where do you see Connor Coady ? At centre back or maybe defensive midfield?

Ghandi Floss

The youngsters do tend to play in several different positions early in their careers to help with their development.

dmedly

It'd be awesome if they could turn him into a good midfielder or a defensive midfielder. The kid has a good engine.

Yeah i mean guys, the person i speak to has given me abit of BS in the past! Hes a medic at the club and sometimes thinks hes 'best freinds' with KD. Hes also given me info which is false and made me look ratehr stupid on here,,, BUT he does tend to get quite alot of info right aswell, especially when it comes down to training and so on! I personally think Coady will stay as a centre midfield, hes way ahead of his years physically and mentally and i think he will be drafted into the first team very soon. And yes dmedly you usually see players moved about the pitch but it would be a interesting concept to see flannagan play regularly in that position in the future!

Adzii

Gerrard started as a right back in his first game. Flannagan could be a similar kind of player.

I think flanno came on against valencia in centre midfield and i was wondering why. maybe this explains it.

It seems a big ask for a natural RB to have the speed of thought and movement, the ball control, passing range, and everything else needed for a top drawer CM. And LFC should only be looking at CMs who are top drawer.

Seems an odd thing, especially when we already have SG, Adam, Lucas and Hendo all in there somewhere, and all very good players.
Might be a long time before he gets a first team at CM, dont you reckon?

I would prefer Flanno to stay as rb and Kelly move to his more natural cb role. You add Coates and Robinson its a good young defence that could be there for years

You forgot wisdom and wilson too!

Good god??

With all this talk about our interest in adam johnson, what would he cost roughly? and do Man City have targets lined up to replace him in january?
{Ed002's Note - He would cost in excess of £20M. His replacement would possibly be Angel Di Maria of Real Madrid. Real Madrid will offer up Khedira as a makewight in a deal for Carlos Tevez - Manchester City are interested in a straight exchange for Di Maria. I would not hold your breath waiting for this to happen though as there are several "ifs" involved.}

Liverpool on the brain Ed?

dmedly {Ed002's Note - Well spotted. It was a long night and I have corrected the error now. Thanks.}

I Know this has nothing to do with Johson to liverpool, but, Wud Xabi Alonso EVER come back to lverpool?

I honestly cant see how AJ wil want to stay with city after his treatment in last nights match, he must be absolutly seething, i think if we put in a decent offer come january he will be ours

hi eds
are liverpool interested in lucas oscampos of sao paulo. some reports indicate that he is dubbed the "new cris. ronaldo"
pragyan {Ed002's Note - Lucas Ocampos plays for River Plate and has been looked at by a number of sides with Bayern Munich and Chelsea maintaining an interest. I understand that Diego Caniggia took a look on behalf of Liverpool but it was decided that he would be too expensive to buy. That seems to have ended any brief interest that Liverpool had.}

Ed why will he be too expensive for liverpool? coz liverpool can pretty much afford him if they can spend 35mil on carroll!.......RED INDIAN {Ed001's Note - he is 17 years old and a bid of over 15m has already been rejected for him.}
