Hey eds, I don't know if you see us buying a defensive midfielder in the summer to back up Lucas or play with him but do you see these guys as realistic options and if we would be strongly linked to actually getting them. Benat from from Betis, Lucas Biglia who is for 4.5 million, Ignacio Camacho of Malaga or Selcuk Inan of Galatasaray. Thanks eds {Ed002's Note - Try the search function please.}

Eds is robben available in the simmer/

Cheers
Neilp {Ed001's Note - he may well be but we aren't going to be moving for him.}

Thank God we're not going for him and all! Ridiculously high wage demands for a guy who will be 30 next year and plays football without a right foot!

I'll pass on him for sure!

Hey eds are Liverpool looking at Benat Etxebarria? {Ed002's Note - Atletico Madrid, CSKA, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Fenerbahce, Arsenal, PSG and Wolfsburg have shown interest in Benat. Txiki Begiristain has, as reported, an interest in taking him to Manchester City. It is beginning to look like the summer would be a likely time for a move.}

Thanks for getting back to me

Hey eds, any intersest from Liverpool or anyone in Filip Duricic? Cheers {Ed002's Note - Heerenveen's Filip Djuricic will be moving to Benfica in the summer rejecting interest from AC Milan and the attention of a number of sides with Schalke and Manchester United making little effort to hide their interest. I understand that Milan had spoken with Marco Van Basten about the player but concerns existed that he would not be ready for the more major European leagues at this time.}

Bulut said: 'Arda has played at Atletico Madrid for two seasons now. I have wanted to see him play for another team in another league and Arda wants the same.

'I can't say the league or you'll know exactly who I'm talking about but let's just put it like this, there are only five to six clubs which could afford Arda right now and he's going to join one of these five clubs. '

-------------

The thing that worries me about this if its true is that he has only been at Madrid for 2 seasons and know is wanting a move and also his agent wants him to make a move so although he would be a very good buy would we want him if he gets bored after a year or two and wants a move.

He wouldn't be getting bored if he came to Liverpool mate.

It's well documented that (for the best part of 5 years) he's essentially been saying "come get me, Liverpool". haha

Liverpool fan, won't want to leave.

5 clubs that can afford him that's us out of the running don't you think?

Because he is Liverpool fan mate, and what a buy not only buying class but also a player that is desperate to do well. But there are only about 6 clubs that could afford him doubt were one don't read too much into it

Apparently he's a massive Liverpool fan, so there's got to be more feelings of loyalty to Liverpool than atletico, and that's IF he moves to us

The five or six big-budget buyers has to include City, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, Barca and Real Madrid, surely?

I doubt LFC are in the top ten, let alone the top 6, and tbh I'm not convinced he's a player worth too much more than 15m anyway, if that, especially given his injury record.

Sounds a bit of a mercenary, with a pushy manager . and I've never really been convinced by this 'Liverpool fan' business (it didn't work with Walcott, and it didn't work with Aguero)

With options on the left and worries in central defence/midfield, is he what Liverpool need right now? Particularly at the premium his manager seems to be angling for.

Raised Eyebrow

If we want him then we can afford him also I know he is a Liverpool fan but we could of got him for around £9M when he was at Galatasary but choose not to so not too sure if we actually want him.

Only 5 or clubs could afford him - Real, Barca, City, Cheslea, United, PSG?

From those options and the contents of his quote I would guess PSG, because if he said a team in France it would be obvious?

Sorry but what does it matter if he gets bored after two years? We can't really comment on whether he will or not, but if he does then we'll have had a great quality player for a couple of seasons, sell him on as he'll still have a while on his contract and be young enough for some good resale value and use the money to get someone else - hopefully when he'll have helped us into a better league position and CL football and we'll have even more leverage to get us back in there

Hello eds,
Not a rumour but someone I would love to see at Anfield next season is Bayer Leverkusen Andre Schurrle he can play in all 3 positions at the top end of the field, with Sami Hyypi Leverkusen manager what do you think the chances are of him signing for us. ? What's Everyone's Thoughts? Cheers

Welsh warrior {Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure there will by little or no chance of Schurrle moving to Liverpool in the summer.}

Same, been hoping we'd show some interest in Schurrle for the longest time. Really rate the lad. Would provide some real pace and skill down the left flank.

Nico PH

I'd like to see Sami Hypia at LFC next season

Is this Ben Arfa link realistic? I think he would be a great addition to our team. {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any link to Ben Arfa.}

Do you think there's any chance of Michel Vorm becoming a Liverpool goalkeeper by next summer? He seemed to have sent out a veiled "come and get me" plea in his criticism of Swansea's performance last weekend. Or am I reading too much into his comments?

How about we stick with Pepe Reina as long as he wants to stay of course. He is still 30 yrs old and Goalkeepers peak in there 30's, he is also still one of the best keepers in the world, and 2nd in this years clean sheets table.

It went something like this: "Oops that's another one. Can I come play for you?"

I agree stick with Pepe if he wants to stop of course as for bork why would we want hi.

Any interest in Ricky van Wolfswinkel eds? {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it. Liverpool spoke to Spoerting about taking another player on loan in January - not about Wolfswinkel.}

Bruma? {Ed002's Note - Jeffren.}

Ed002, you mention that LFC have interest in Stefan de Vrij, do you think he is a realistic target? Also, do you know of any interest in Gonalons?

The real AG {Ed002's Note - Feyenoord's Stefan de Vrij was the subject of interest from Arsenal and Newcastle in the summer and a number of clubs have taken a look at the player this season including Spartak Moscow, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. Whilst there was speculation about a January move, a move in the summer was always far more likely. He is club captain where he is and I would think unlikely to want to move anywhere to find his opportunities of playing are reduced.

On a number of occasions Frederic Guerra has said that Gonalons would only leave Lyon for Real or Napoli. He has taken over as captain so a move unlikely.}

Hey eds, any interest from lfc in De Vrij and Howedes?
Indian Buzzer {Ed002's Note - Yes and no.}

Stefan de Vrij will cost around £5-6m and will be targeted alongside Dejan Lovren (£8m) to replace the Skrtel (£16m) and Coates (£7m).

Carragher will be replaced by Kelly while Sama and Wilson will go out on full season loans. we will give Michel Ngoo 2yrs contract extension and also loan him out for a full season. Flanagan will go out on loan. Teixeira will go out on loan as will Suso (Fiorentina)

Hmm we may well go for De vrij and Lovren but De vrij may cost a couple of million more while Skrtel and Coates will be sold for around 13 and 4 million respectively.

The exact two players I woul choose to replace Carra, Skrtel/Coates this summer

Hi eds, with talk of FSG selling the club, are there actually any interested potential buyers? If so how much is the club valued at? Thanks {Ed002's Note - See previous answers please.}

After what they've spent on buying the club, the players and the work they've done lowering the wage bill aswell as stadium planning do you really think they'd sell the club just yet, personally I don't not when there is work still to be done to make us a little more successful, profitable and more appealling to other owners.

Hi Eds

There is a lot of talk of Assiaidi being sold in the summer. He's always looked quite lively when i've seen him (however I don't follow he reserve games) so why are we looking to offload him? {Ed002's Note - My understanding is that he would like to get first team football.}

He hasn't played many reserve games either, if any.

Before the season started Ajax wanted to buy him. I spoke to a colleague with (real!) connections to Ajax and the contention was that Assaidi was quite happy to sit on the bench for a better salary than he would have received from Ajax. I don't know if things have changed since he arrived but the way things are going hopefully he won't be needed any more at Anfield.

Hello Eds,
is there any Liverpool interest in Adrian Lopez as I read about it a while back? (I know Arsenal were interested in Jan)
Secondly, could Dejan Lovren be an option to replace Carra and Coates at CB? {Ed002's Note - Lopez no. Lovren might well be an option and will likely move in teh summer.}

Thanks Ed,
also heard Heung Min son has recieved an offer from a prmiership side. could it be us? or is it Spurs?
secondly, will Stevan di vrij also be on the move in summer? {Ed002's Note - An offer for Min from Spurs was rejected in January. Di Vrij would not move to sit on the bench and will not be cheap, but he may well move in the summer.}

Lovren is a very good player and could well be a replacement and good option for Carra and potentially Skrtel.

But Ed wouldn't De vrij be more or less first choice if we were to move on Skrtel, Coates and Carra?

also any interest from us in a left sided CB (Sakho, Ogbonna, Clark etc. )?
someone who can cover for LB as well so that we can loan Jack Robinson for the season. {Ed002's Note - It depends who else is purchased.}

Good morning eds,

I just wondered if we had any interest in Papadopoulos from Schalke? I truly believe he is the answer to our search for a new CB. Comfortable on the ball, good positioning and he's not slow. I know we scout the german league but do we have any interest in him? {Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

Great call Nevada. There are a few quality CB's in Germany and Italy like Howedes, Benatia, Ogbonna, etc.
Really hope we scout them before going for Williams.
I really don't have much problems with AW but I feel for the price Swansea would command we could get 2 Quality CB's from Europe.

Quality defender, but they will be in the CL again next season and we won't so i'd be surprised if he were to join.

A tweet about a press conference at 2pm tomorrow appeared at around 11. 40 from #LFC and then was promptly deleted.
Was it simply a pre-match press conference or something more sinister?
Does this fall in with Ed002's prediction of an announcement - or not?

Question for ed 001 if possible. A few weeks ago I mentioned I'd heard Milan we're letting ascerbi go, the people I overheard we're saying to Liverpool. While he didn't move to Liverpool he did in fact move a week after my post. My question is, did we have any interest? Just seems odd they would randomly link us.

Thanks 33
Nevada {Ed001's Note - not as far as I am aware, though we do tend to get linked with a lot of players due to agents trying to stir up interest.}

there will be news on wednesday with regard to the stadium development. this will show the negative posters that fsg have the best of intentions of the club.
rodges brain

News in regard to the stadium sounds more logically than FSG suddenly announcing that they were selling up. News of that would have leaked out long ago given what I remember from dark days under H&G.

Weyland Yutani

How much is the Stadium being increased to is it 60,000 with it possibly able to increase further if needed.

Maybe they going to tell us again that they want to re-develop the stadium. I heard them first time
