M before its too late! !"

It's 8m, I think! Cracking deal for him!

But, he is nothing like Stevie G, at all.

Aside from that, he will - most likely - go to one of Real Madrid, Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Eds do ye have any news on interest in Ever Banega of Valencia? I think the guy is class. Much better option than Adam in my opinion because he offers something defensively as well as going forward. You know anything eds? Great site. .

The Poacher {Ed001's Note - nothing since he was rejected for a work permit a few years back.}

David Commoli is scouting Hugo Lloris as a replacement for Reina"

Get his name right at least - its Damien Comolli.

ALso what do the eds think of Stefan ALso what do the eds think of Stefan jovetic, I believe we went for him ast summer but didn't have the funding, cheers {Ed007's Note - He s a quality player and would mprove LFC no doubt IMO, but can't help with whether you tried to sign him or not, can anyone else??}
- - - - - - - - - -
We had interest under rafa but fiorentina were in a good position at the time both financially and performance wise (were in champs league). However since the loss of prandelli they have stagnated and no longer in europe its known that they will entertain offers for him. LFC made zero contacts since rafa was in charge. Hope this helps.

Heard today with a source close to the club that any deal for Adam has now been scrapped, Comolli and Kenny have drawn up a list of targets that only include the youngest and brightest prospects. Profit can always be made on these targets if they were not to be a success, which by this time a lot of our younger prospects would hopefully have made the breakthrough. Players will be bought to fit the system and the Liverpool way, we are not Man City we do not by the player that is hyped up most in the media and I trust Kenny will have the right players in mind.

I expect that the club will place dozens of bids but I reckon it will look something like this;

Comolli's targets: Sakho, Cissokho, Pjanic, Lovren, Hazard, M'vila, Sissoko, Dzsudzsak
Kennys targets: Sturridge, Baines, Young, Cahill, Johnson, Mccarthy, Enrique, Turan

Obviously the club is never going to get near all of these targets but i expect a combination of both between 4-6 players. Remember however that it is only late April and things change within hours let alone months. Still the Future is bright my fellow reds.

Ed with wolfsburg in the relegation zone in germany and looking likely to go down do you think liverpool will try to get Kjaer, maybe for a bargain price?would make more sense than going after the over-priced cahill. . {Ed001's Note - he is very likely to move on, but I have heard of no solid interest from us, the only links I have heard have come from people deciding we want him because he plays with Agger. I have to say I have not seen anything in him myself, he seems a very average player, at best, and it is no wonder Wolfsburg are struggling with him at the back.}

Hi Ed's - a question if I may as u might have links/ understanding where most won't.

Reina, based upon his comments do you reckon he will give Liverpool until Jan (maybe Summer at most) to mount a title challenge?

I gather he's happy where he is he just wants tropheys and to compete but his statement appears to be - if we compete from day 1 i'm in - if we're still competing).

Thanks

Hoola {Ed001's Note - it is hard to say, I think it would depend on who wants him more than anything. From what I am told he seems to be more likely to stay than go now, but it was Arsenal that unsettled him and they are not as attractive a proposition right now. There are clear signs that they are not going anywhere, while it is clear we are on the up. But if Barca came in for him, for instance, I wouldn't expect him to stay.}

I posted earlier today about criscito. Can now tell you the bid was 2.5 m which was rejected by genoa as they feel he is worth 7. Unknown if we will return with another bid but will keep posting

Havent heard much about gourcuff in a long time any chance we cud be looking at him ed as he is a good prospect in midfield?? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it. He has only been at Lyon for 6 months so I cannot see him moving this summer unless a very attractive offer arrives. Lyon would want a hideous amount of money of an English team for his signature.}

- - - - - - - - - -

Why do you think Lyon would command such a high figure from a team just because they're English, ed?

{Ed002's Note - Jean-Michel Aulas, the Olympique Lyonnais chairman, has a business model based around selling players for a significant profit. To further this, he has always maintained that every player has two prices, one for his sale and one for his sale to an English club. This has been borne out over the years.}

Alexis Sanchez and Eden Hazard are our Top Targets for the summer. And Kenny's signed a 3 year deal.

Is this true Ed???? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Ed u know if theres any truth behind lfc lookin at hulk? do u think he would come to liverpool and how much fr? {Ed002's Note - A number of clubs have looked at Hulk, most notably AC Milan. Rumours are also abound that Bayern Munich and Spurs have an interest as well. Liverpool may well have taken a look and I am sure that he will be moving on this summer. Whether or not he would be interested in a move to Anfield I don't know. He will I am sure want to be in the starting line-up when fit and I would expect hime to desire Champions League football. Price wise, perhaps £20M or so.}

Would absolutely love this guy at Anfield next season, he is just what we need!. hes got a great left foot, can cross, shoot and is built like a tank, the name says it all!. I think this guy would be amazing in the Premier League. We need someone like him badly,
Hope we are watching him!

I heard today that if Wigan go down, Liverpool will offer 5m-8m for Hugo Rodallega, he will be great back-up for Carroll and Suarez.

I'd like to apologise for mistaking Doyle and Long as British.
They are in fact Irish not British and was a complete misjudgement on my part.
I hope I did not offend anyone. Sorry {Ed007's Note - Nothing to worry about}

Erin Derdiyok was looked at last summer.
There was no interest in the winter window but I've heard we will renew that interest this summer, don't understand where he will fit in as he's on the Carroll mold. But expect n'gog to be moved on as part of the deal.

Ed do you know who is more likely to be signed or which player do we want more out of , adam mvila defour. Because i can't see us signing two out of the 3 because we have gerrard miereles lucas spearing shelvey coady that all play cm , mvila is a player i think comolli definatly wants , macca has said before that adam is nailed on and with defour last few days there seems to be alot of talkabout amove to liverpool. Appreciate your views eds. {Ed002's Note - They are certainly all viable options and it would be no more than guesswork to which is the most likely to sign.}

Good day Ed's
i just wondered how you rate aqualani and do you want him back?

Please post
happy easter

{Ed002's Note - Aquilani is a fine player and the mistake was probably taking delivery when he was unfit. Liverpool paid significantly over the odds for the player (making the club and the "negotiator" rather a laughing stock in Italy at the time) and still in fact owe 5M euro to Roma. Aquilani was very unhappy in his time at Liverpool but much of that would have been down to the frustration of being injured. He also struggled to integrate himself with the other players and could not wait to get back to Italy on loan. I expect the deal for him to stay with Juventus will be sealed at the end of the season. If not, his agents will probably find him another club in Italy. He really does not want to return to Liverpool.}

Hello. i normally don't get any info on players contracts. This one though i can gurantee it. Reina is signing a new contract he is already deep in negotiations. Most of our signings are already in motion the players have been told who this is. and most of the fringe players are now playing for there careers.

Reina will be staying on.

19 Apr 2011 11:39:27
It's said that:
-there are on-going discussions between Pepe and Comolli about a new deal. Pepe has decided to stay. Hopefully it will be done and dusted soon.

-we are very keen on Sakho. A bid will in all probability be made soon. It's also reported that Arsenal have had 15m offer turned down. PSG are said to be holding out for 20m.

Ed, have you heard anything about the above? Also, do you expect us to make a move for Defour? How likely would he be to come?

Kromkamp

{Ed002's Note - I have heard nothing about Reina. As reported, Sakho has been of interest to Arsenal, Liverpool and Roma. I have no knowledge of any actual bids or the values of any bids, but it is clear there is firm interest. I don't think the Defour would have any concerns about moving to England at all. How likely he is to move to Anfield remains in the hands of those wishing to make a bid for the player.}

19 Apr 2011 11:05:45
Good Morning Ed ,
Haven't heard a Reina rumour in a long time now. . .
Do you think he will leave as i heard that Man U have all but got David De Gea . Please answer Ed ! {Ed002's Note - Nobody knows for sure at this time - but it is entirely unrelated to what happens at Manchester United.}

Hi eds
i have it on very good authority that liverpool have agreed a deal in principal to sign jose enrique.
kenny has want to bring in kevin nolan from newcastle but camolli is pushing hard for sissoko imo kevin nolan would be a better buy as most of the "new viera's"never live up to the billing plus nolan is english (scouse) and has done the job wherever he he has played.

i suppose it will be intresting to see who wins out with fsg and see where the power really lies with regards to signing players.

Please post on rumours . cause that's what everybody reads.

This is not a rumour but just wanted to give the two lads a mention. as if it was ever in doubt

Two former Liverpool stars will no longer take part in a soccer programme on RTE, which is being sponsored by 'The Sun' newspaper.

Controversy arose amongst Liverpool fans because of the involvement of Irish legends Ronnie Whelan and Ray Houghton on the panel for 'Premier Soccer Sunday' on May 1, which will feature matches including Liverpool versus Newcastle and Arsenal against Manchester United.

'The Sun' is still boycotted by many Liverpool supporters for the manner in which it reported the deaths of 96 fans at Hillsborough in 1989.

Last night, RTE issued a statement saying the pair of former Irish internationals would no longer be appearing on the panel .

However, the national broadcaster did not give a reason.

Steven Defour could reportedly move to Liverpool in the summer after his representatives held talks with the Merseyside club.

The 23-year-old Standard Liege captain has been frequently linked with a move away from Belgium over the past season or two, with Manchester United one of his reported suitors.

Now, according to Goal.com, Defour s agent Paul Stefani has held talks with Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli over a proposed £10 million transfer to Anfield.

Stefani has also had discussions with Benfica, it has been claimed, but Defour has been tipped to flourish at Liverpool, should the Belgium international seal a switch to Anfield.

"Liverpool are now a different club to last year, " a source told Goal.com UK. "Defour could really thrive and achieve his goals at Liverpool - and he is the kind of player they want to sign now."

Would be a class signing if we got him. Any further on the above Ed?

{Ed002's Note - It pretty much sums up what I know. There have been talks going on with Benfica for quite a while. I am aware that Liverpool made an equiry to see if the player would consider a move to Anfield (this was a couple of weeks ago) but unaware that it had progressed as far as further discussions. Do note that the final paragraph from "a source" is rather flakey padding. So it seems another midfield option.}

Hi Ed,

Read a lot about the striker(s) that are going to be brought in, especially Macca stating that Benzema is a done deal. I would like to know if you think we will bring a striker of that type of caliber or more of a "backup" type striker?

Justice for 96 {Ed002's Note - The club will I am sure be looking at a striker of a high quality regardless of whether or not it is Benzema himself. Striking options within the squad are pretty thin although obviously Kuyt can play as a striker. There has been interest in players such as Ricky Van Wolfwinkel and I think that they may still be keeping a watchful eye on such targets.}

Holger Badstuber and Shinji Kagawa have been the subject of several scouting missions in germany this season.

Has Kagawa not been out injured since the Asian Cup? Badstuber is no better than Konchesky.

Most of these players linked are smoked screened, we will sign defour 4 12m, we will hope this gets is int. team mate of lille hazad 15m plus ngog and add ons, and then gervinho of same club 4 bout 10-12m, we will then sign clichy as arsene wants to make big transfer this summer to appease fans 4 about 11m 2 save losing him and also we will depending on sale returns be buying very young striker as kk fancies our youngster adam morgan

Have it in good authority that since there's a divide in opinion on Ashley Young and Stewart Downing from KK and Comolli, we're going to bid for both - 30mil. Although Villa are reluctant to sell both. But chances are they may be tempted to cash in. We'll find out soon what happens.

oh ok so because they can't decide they will just bid for both. . ive never heard such rubbish. that's like me saying i can't decide which girl im gonna sh*g tonight, so will just get them both round. IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN lol
