ED002 The Times is reporting that we have agreed a £12 fee for Sturridge is that right? {Ed002's Note - I think options exist which might be achievable.}

12 quid for sturridge? Sounds a bit much to me, I wouldn't say any more than a fiver

18 Dec 2012 19:48:32
hi ed002 would it be fair to say that some of te money liverpool get if downing goes should be used for the walcott transfer as i think he is much better than sturridge nd scores plenty goals wats ur opinion who would you sign outta them? {Ed002's Note - For me Sturridge gives an option the club does not have. Huntelaar might take it to another lever.}

Please Ed don't tease me with Huntelaar talk

Chris in Tamworth

Walcott will be staying

Huntelaar will probably go to Italy

Sturridge & Ince will be joining Liverpool

Llorente will join Juventus

I agree with edo2 sturridge is a good player, its not that long ago mancini was giving out about the club letting such a talent leave huntelaar would be really good to get because imo he is at his peak now sturridge might be a bit of a rough diamond yet but who knows with a good run of games.Tommy Irish Red

Struuridge was good a while back not gettin many games now thoo bit of an injury prone

Hi eds,

Just wondering if there is any news on Will Hughes atm - I hope liverpools interest remains and we have a bid for the young fella as he is a liverpool fan and as you have rightly pointed out in the past is attracting interest from pretty much all the big clubs !

YNWA213 {Ed001's Note - no news, I don't expect anything to happen with him before the summer.}

This lad is a ,Stevie-G in the making we just have to use our influence over Cloughie [our ex-player] to secure him. Brilliant talent that is there for the taking. DanieRed -Derby

We already have

Henderson
Shelvey
Lucas
Allen
Gerrard
Sahin
Coady
Suso
Adojan

So why do we need yet more midfielders ...

Being a Liverpool fan is hardly a deal maker!

18 Dec 2012 21:07:58
Ed001, 2 questions:
What do you understand to be current situation with Ince?

And if you buy the 'He aint heavy' single via text, does that help it in terms of making Christmas No.1?

Thanks

An Dun Red {Ed001's Note - I understand we have spoken to Blackpool, as have a couple of other clubs. Regardless, everyone who buys it is giving a percentage to help fund the appeal.}

Heard from a couple a mates that leeds have enquired about a loan deal with a view of a permanent deal for pacheco as warnock has targeted a speedy striker, Just wondered what ye liverpool fans consider his strengths and weaknesses to be cheers in advance from a leeds fan best of luck in the league aswell guys think ye will come good if goals are added to yere squad as ye create unreal amounts a chances

Well Pacheco has an eye for the killer pass, brilliant touch and can dribble and has a good FK on him, bad things are his lack of backtracking, finishing isn't quite there and he's a bit lightweight. Best of luck in the fight for promotion!

mozzilfc

Hes not fast for a start .. skillful and technical though personally i wouldn't mind seeing pacheco LF Suarez ST Sterling RF and Suso CF .. thats just me though

His main strength is failing to deliver. His main weakness is himself.

He's signing for Brighton.suarez recommended him to Gus Poyet.

Pacheco has been in no man's land for a few seasons. I think he's a very good player who needs a decent run of games.

I also agree with the poster who explained Pacheco is not ''speedy'' he's actually not fast for a forward at all, but he is very good with the ball and creates space for himself.

Hes like a bad smell that lad

Well if you're after a fast striker go elsewhere

Fast, but certainly not clinical in front of goal, i think he scored just 2 goals in 24 first team appearences (for every team he's played for, not just liverpool) could possibly be used just behind the centre forward

My source informs me that Ince is 99% done deal, all in place for him to sign early January. Sturridge and Walcott remain other possibilities. Walcott is preferred apparently but Sturridge most likely to be available. Neither is a 'done' deal by any stretch and only 1 of the 2 will arrive. A tentative approach for Ba has been made but his most likely destination is Arsenal. My personal view is that Newcastle will sign Bent if Ba inevitably leaves, which is a shame because I think he could be the sort of player we need. We need a 1 in 2 or 3 games striker........All of the afore mentioned will create chances aswell but are more 1 in 5 strikers. Whatever happens we will be a stronger squad in January and so I just hope we can keep in touching distance of 4th spot.

Is your source the Liverpool Echo?

Newcastle will sign remy if ba leaves

19 Dec 2012 10:39:57
Is your source Macca? He told us about Ince 4 days ago.

I won't hold my breath......... How many other "done deals" have liverpool screwed up during transfer window?

19 Dec 2012 20:23:04
Remy I think will go to Spurs, Ba will definitely leave. Sunderland have enquired about Downing and he's free to go. My source is the friend of an ex player

18 Dec 2012 17:47:51
Eds can you confirm if the ince deal is done and dusted apart from the rubber stamp when the window opens?
Also could you explain what it means when a transfer fee is undisclosed?

Great job

Kyle {Ed001's Note - nothing is done, there is a fair bit of interest in the lad, nothing is certain. Undisclosed just means that they aren't telling you what it is.}

18 Dec 2012 17:33:01
Hi eds
Have we given a look at Georgiy Schennikov? Decent left back. Young. Could be a good cover for Jose..

Thanks
VGRed {Ed001's Note - no idea sorry.}

18 Dec 2012 16:22:11
talk of kevin grosskreutz have calmed since december any spark of interest left in him from br? {Ed002's Note - Grosskreutz has previously said that he wants one day to play in England. Before the last January window noted, to the annoyance of Jurgen Klopp, that his dream was to play for Arsenal. This summer, before the transfer window opened he told the press that it was his dream to play for Liverpool. I am not aware of interest right now but Liverpool do appear to be looking for a wide player. Equally he is a starter for Dortmund so a move in January is perhaps unlikely.}

I think the reason that this is picking back up is because he is no longer a starter for Dortmund. It seems that Perišić is preferred to him at the moment.

~Fresh

He seems to have a lot of dreams about football teams. Too much cheese before bed I reckon.

18 Dec 2012 16:12:49
Hi eds is it true that we may loan Coates out in January? If so would we be looking for a replacement?

Mighty reds {Ed002's Note - It is most unlikely that Liverpool would look to buy a replacement for a player going out on loan. I don't know what loans Liverpool are considering for January.}

Coates will be going no where he will be used a lot more next season when Carra retires.

What about a short term loan as we would be short in numbers ed2? I just think we would leave ourselves short.

Mighty reds {Ed002's Note - That makes no little to me.}

Why would you go to the trouble of loaning seeming out to buy someone to cover? That makes no sense mate.

18 Dec 2012 16:11:18
liverpool will buy Nathan Dyer from Swansea. mark my word.
excellent player, with pace, hard working and his end product is ameliorating. liverpool supporters will enjoy.LOL

Budashow

Would be a good squad player as he has great pace and takes players on, however he has recently signed a new deal so Swansea would demand a healthy fee.

BigD

18 Dec 2012 17:32:37
Utter rubbish

I live in swansea and i can tell you this is a load of rubbish.you might have seen him play on tv,but he is not consistent enough to force his way into lfc's team
jaycee

"ameliorating" - nice !

19 Dec 2012 01:20:55
The only player the reds should look to sign from Swansea is Ashley Williams, we bought Allen who for me is yet to impress, cant see them selling Williams though, pity as he is quality

Ameliorating?? Why can't you just say improving. It's all irrelevant any as this is complete tosh!

Should be named Nathan Dire.

18 Dec 2012 16:01:27
According to Echo, Tom Ince is almost done! He will sign in January for 4 millions.

Greetz

Eds how reliable is the Echo ?

BigD {Ed002's Note - Measured how? What did they say yesterday for today's weather?}

Echo & BBC, are the most reliable amongst all the other stuff ..
Except some Dempsey like saga at the end hopefully Ince would be a red by early jan..

If you believe you will get Ince for £4m, you need to widen your chimney so Santa can deliver your Jumbo Jet!

Are fans in Liverpool so easy to con? If so, I have 100 pairs of pants, only worn once by Madonna, and yours for just £1k/pair!

There's been some terrible transfer business at Liverpool over the last few years but this could top the lot. we're becoming a bit of a joke

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Think you ight be slightly out of touch, why would we want some worn grans pants?

Madonna ergh!

18 Dec 2012 15:40:08
Liverpool will be looking to take Theo Walcott in January but as part of the deal Raheem Sterling will be going the other way. However I am not aware of the financial side of things but it is thought to be making progress as both players are stalling on new contracts and it has been well documented that Sterlings family would like a return to London.

Brian LFC

Never heard so much bull!!!!!!!

Whats the point in that, Sterling is younger and just as good, like for like, Liverpool are going nowhere with this can of transfer.

Kozy Tea

Walcott will sign a new deal as he personally wants to stay, Wenger wants him to stay and his girlfriend has enrolled at a London University.

Regarding Sterling, he will also sign a new deal, as he himself has recently said he is very happy at the club, the deal will be announced shortly before the new year.

BigD

What is the matter with you Kozy Tea? Do you react like this to everything on here in the same way ... IT'S MADE UP!!

I would take the swap in a heartbeat. I think people are overrating Sterling. Walcott is a top talent.

18 Dec 2012 15:14:44
We signed tom ince for 4M ? {Ed002's Note - He cannot complete any transfer until January but it remains very likely the transfer will go ahead.}

Yesssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!

18 Dec 2012 15:06:45
Phillippe Coutinho has been released early for the italian christmas break, along with Sneijder, do liverpool still hold any interest? ( In Coutinho, not Sneijder). {Ed002's Note - Coutinho will not be leaving Inter just yet.}

Do like coutinho think he would could be good for us he has the imagination to unlock the tight & deep defences that we encounter at times,good finishing ability,ed is probably correct that inter will not be letting him leave anytime soon....
Paisley's genius

18 Dec 2012 14:58:50
Eds,

I have seen that a website are saying we are leading the chase for Stefan De Vrij. Would be a great signing in my opinion as we need a replacement for Carragher. If this is true, would it be a January signing or would we wait until the Summer to pursue our interest.

Cheers,

CSE9 {Ed002's Note - Feyenoord's Stefan de Vrij was the subject of interest from Arsenal and Newcastle in the summer and a number of clubs have taken a look at the player this season including both Manchester United and Liverpool. Whilst there may be speculation about a January move, a move in the summer seems far more likely. He is club captain where he is and I would think unlikely to want to move anywhere to find his opportunities of playing are reduced. We will see.}

I thought that Martin Kelly was the long term replacement for Carragher

Totally agree Martin Kelly is and will be Carragher's replacement, i just hope he gets over his injuries as he is constantly injured, hope he ain't another Ledley King.

BigD

19 Dec 2012 10:39:03
@ Big D, Kelly plays right back and i think hasn't played much if at all for Liverpool 1st team as a centre back, his injuries i believe are due to his physicality and endurance as a right back.

I don't think Kelly would get half the injuries he does, if he played in a centre back position with much less travelling up and down the flank for 90 minutes.

I don't think Kelly will be moved to centre back, because we are in numbers there, even Wisdom and Sama can do a job there. But Wisdom is being pushed onto the left as Kelly was to the right.
He can't be compared to Lead Knee King, because King nearly always played as a centre back for Tottenham, a part from his earlier days as a midfielder.

18 Dec 2012 14:24:39
I have question for anyone who knows. Are clubs compelled to reveal how much they offering for players because everyone has an idea of what has been paid or offered for players {Ed002's Note - No. The amount paid has to be notified after the completion of a transfer, but offers no.}

18 Dec 2012 16:53:05
If the total figure is released anyway,why are so many deals 'undisclosed'?
Thanks Ed.
WelshBoyDave {Ed002's Note - The requirement for a couple of years is that the cost (split down to reflect constituent parts) are notified and recorded on a database. It does not mean that they have to tell the press at the time - they can go dig it out later should they so desire.}

18 Dec 2012 14:16:10
Hey ed002! Are the rumours that Raheem finally has agreed to sign a new 5-year deal true? Cheers, Scouserseb {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of his agreeing a contract just yet, but remain of the opinion he will.}

Okey, cheers mate! Your opinion is always appreciated! Scouserseb

He'd be a fool not to sign a new contract after all he is still only young if he leave's then would be big mistake on his behalf

18 Dec 2012 12:57:52
Hi Eds, Happy Holidays! Although I know it's only going to get busier for you guys. Ince, Sturridge and Jeffren would certainly help bolster our attacking options but is there any interest in Darren Bent on loan? He is the kind of goal scorer/poacher that those other 3 are not & would be a good loan option in my opinion. Unless QPR splash some cash I can't see Ailla finding a buyer in January. Also if Downing goes do you know of any plans to sign a full-back? We really need cover there with Kelly out till March. Thanks!
RedKev {Ed002's Note - If Jeffren arrives on loan then Bent can't. I don't know of interest in Bent but would expect AV would look to sell rather than loan him out. I don't know of plans to sign a FB.}

Ed02 - are you sure you're right on loans. I thought it was a maximum of 2 players on loan from other PL clubs at a time. Pretty sure you can have more than 2 loans in total???

PieInTheSkyMan {Ed002's Note - Over a season.}

18 Dec 2012 12:05:15
Is it true that Corinthians are to make a £12.2m offer for AC Milan's 23-year-old striker Alexandre Pato,,, Surely if he was going for that price that we could afford it,, instead of going for Sturridge who I think is over rated.

DuffBeer !. {Ed002's Note - Corinthians have offered Milan 15M euros and options on youth players Bubba and Edilson. PSG's interest has likely gone and a further injury might hasten his exit back to his homeland.}

He's Brazilian so why would he choose Liverpool over Corinthians given the choice?

You'd also be surprised at the wages some Brazilian clubs offer their players. They're allowed to sell a sort of third party ownership/private sponsorship deal for individual players. The big names in Brazil makes HUGE money!

Can't believe he's only 23 - seems like he's been around for ages.

18 Dec 2012 10:38:34
heard stong rumors of Heskey returning to Anfeild, I see the hesk as a great signing, stong, experienced knows where the goal is wouldn't cost too much either. What are your thoughts ED's?
Colm Baston {Ed002's Note - My views are simple, from the posts it seems we have Rafa, Alonso, Mascherano, Torres, Heskey and Anelka coming back in January - and FSG trying to interest Hicks and Gillett in a sale.}

This has to be a joke! Someone who rates heskey!

He may know where the goal is but he does not have the abilaty to put the ball in the the back of it. what a pants rumour

Yeah he was so good 10years ago and even better now and santa and mr snow man r coming 2.Tommy Irish Red

Knows where the goal is! WTF lol

Why does everyone want ex liverpool players to come back? Its time to move forward not back. Plus Heskey was awful first time around, I doubt his Villa experience has made him better

Outtheloop

May aswell bring back Igor Biskan and Harry Kewell.. Free Agents i heard and wud fit in with the FSG policy. Cheap and crap!

Igor was class against Real Madrid away I remember. 1 game haha funny
Redrooster

Feel free to join us on planet earth, whenever you're ready!

Commenting on this rumour like it was a real rumour makes you look childish and stupid. The original poster is obviously looking for a laugh and I would suggest he sticks to his own site in future :)

The Eds response also pokes fun at it in a non-direct way and you all respond like that!?

hang your heads in shame!

We cant afford him!!

Heskey lmao who thinks these things up,thats the way forward for sure ....not

U should be banned of this site for comments like that. He knows where the goal is ar u for real how many goals did he score in his last 4 premier league seasons I'd say 10. I no where the goal is its at either end of the pitch that doesn't mean br should sign me. Nonsense of a comment

Come on heskey and owen once again

" We cant afford him!" That reply really made my day... ha

18 Dec 2012 16:56:35
Don't be fooled,this is obviously Emile himself,trying to drum up sone interest,he's watched our forwards and thought "i can do that no problem".
WelshBoyDave

Ha
well done

And seeing as it's Xmas. Dame Alice Fungerson as Director of football !! Nearly19

ED002 good one..Like a Boss..n for the post..Uncle get up its 2012

Doubtful.

I understand Emile is holding out for a CL club, with Barca reportedly interested.

18 Dec 2012 10:33:37
Ed what is the situation with the players Walcott and Ba to move to Liverpool. Ba is a good striker and that is exactly what LFC needs right now and with his 7.5 pund clausul he would be a priceworthy buy. {Ed002's Note - From my perspective I still think that a new deal coul be agreed and a new contract signed by Walcott. However, in January, if no deal has been agreed he will be able to talk with the likes of Juventus who have apparently shown tentative interest. There remains the thought that Liverpool or Chelsea would be interested in taking him, although they cannot speak to him without the club agreeing before the end of the season. Arsenal can easily stonewall a move in January so I don't know if Walcott will even be available for a move then - nor what other options he would have if he were. Deciding to leave Arsenal may not enhance his career, particularly if he wants to stay in England.

There is a good chance that Ba will leave Newcastle and he and his agent are trying to court Arsenal although they seemingly have other preferred targets at this time. His agent has also mentioned Germany as a possible destination although lingering interest from Lokomotiv Moscow and perhaps an opportunity in Turkey seem to options right now.}

Doesnt the clause in the demba ba contract also mention that the 7.5 million fee is only to a champions league team.id personally love to see us sign ba but cant see us qualifying for champions league yet

18 Dec 2012 10:23:11
Liverpool are close to securing a £4m deal to make Blackpool's Tom Ince their first January signing - the Liverpool Echo- Learpholl

18 Dec 2012 09:34:51
Liverpool scouts at the Istanbul derby on Sunday watching Burak Yimaz and maybe Selcuk Inan, read it in the Turkish news papers.

Please sign either.. Absolute goal machines this year very impressed with yilmaz scoring in CL as well as domestic

18 Dec 2012 08:55:46
Ed whats the actual situation with Arda Turan?
A player who openly admire and love our club and tradition...y we never went for him?
Cant belive downing over turan?
KK needs a real good brain..
I have seen him play..and he is absolute quality..
pace, skill and excellent left foot...
two wingers if I get a chance to buy is mertens or him..with a reasonable price..

Whats the Byout clause for turan?
Can you see him coming to us in the summer?
have we maintaied interest...

Rather than bying adam, downing and henderson..
If KK would have ever bought Honda and Turan...we would have been sitting in Top 4 By now..

YNWA {Ed002's Note - Clubs do not buy players because they are supporters. Arda was certainly looked at by Liverpool but clearly those that were in control of transfers did not progress any initial interest. Eventually he moved to Spain. We knew very early on that he would be leaving Galatasaray for Atletico Madrid once money had been freed up through the sale of Aguero - although there was strong interest from elsewhere. Arda Turan will most likely move this coming summer subject to a suitable bid being made - something in the order of £18M-£20M. The likely destinations are England and Italy although there remains a chance that previous German interest will still be there and an outside chance of a return to Turkey. Atletico Madrid have already rejected a move from Schalke saying they do not want to sell in January.}

Arda is very skilful on the ball but one thing he does not have is pace. He's not as quick as Downing or Sterling. Just so you know!

Hi EDS

Just wondering my you are reluctant to name your preferred targets when asked. You all appear to have good knowledge of the game and I think people are genuinely interested in your own personal views rather than just responding to questions.

Regards
dub96 {Ed002's Note - I have no preferences that would be of interest to those here.}

Common mate..quick means..not like arron lenon or ussain bolt..
I have seen him play..and he is quick..beats the man..and he has excelent left foot...He has experience in international level..and would do a fine job for us....

Just a thought......... why are players always described as having a sweet or excellent left foot? Is the right one just used for standing on?

Got to remember that when Kenny and Commoli signed Downing they were looking for players who could make an instant impact in the premiership.

The season before Downing had one of the top assist ratios and was generally thought of as progressing into a top class left footed winger. What they failed to notice / realise is that Downing is a confidence player and that if his head is not in the right place then his skill and decision making are affected.

Playing for Liverpool, which is a highly pressurised environment, was I believe a step too far for him. Turan might have taken a season plus to adapt. Just cast a look in Sahin's direction, the premiership is a different kettle of fish and is not easy to adjust to.

Long Live the King

How can you blame Dalglish, the season before last when KK bought Downing he was fantastic for villa

To the Posters above, instant impact eh?. Yeah like Mata, Oscar and Hazard have done at Chelsea right??. People, it doesnt matter whether you have played in the Premier League all your life or have just come fresh from a new league. The point is, "Can you handle the pressure of playing for a club as big as Liverpool?". Apparently, Downing does not cut it into ANY big team however good he was a LFC. I can bet my house that even if Downing ended up being in the top 3 assists for that season when he was at Villa, the top clubs like City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea needn't even look at him!!.
And also, please dont compare Sahin and Arda, Sahin grew up in the German League while Arda was entirely in the Turkish League. You say that it will be a highly pressurized environment, well if you look up your records, players like Emre who played for Newcastle didnt find it tough??. Infact he was a great player for them if memory serves correct. So please dont judge EVERY player the same..

18 Dec 2012 08:12:54
Manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that it is unlikely that Liverpool will sign a "top player" during the January transfer window.

he's also reported saying " THAT THE FANS SHOULDNT EXPECT IT"!!!

disappointed is word that am using alot more these days :(

{Ed002's Note - If he has used such an objective term as "top" and that is what he has said I would think all he is doing is, albit rather naively, preparing the fans not to have unrealistically high expectations. I am not so sure that potential targets would look kindly on being effectively described as not being a"top player". We know the club is looking at forward players with the confirmed interest in Ince, Sturridge and Jeffren, but as has been said many times, January is not always the best time to recruit.

Probably just a smokescreen.}

Yet we are told " no such thing as a smokescreen"!

and its all fine being linked with players,but like DEMPSEY who we we're linked with,are we going to offer another joke amount?so FSG and BR can say we tried to sign him and him and hin?
now thats a smokescreen!!!

18 Dec 2012 09:55:08
When it comes down to the transfer window, manager's play a lot of mind games. If he was to say that we were looking to sign a big name, that would alert other clubs into action and could spark off a bidding war. Managers playing down expectations should always be taken with a pinch of salt. {Ed002's Note - To be honest clubs do not really care what other manager's have to say about transfers and certainly don't go running after players on the basis of Liverpool being interested.}

Ed, is it possible that Liverpool are only looking to take Sturridge on loan? We know he doesn't want that and we know Chelsea don't want that, but do you think Liverpool are only willing to loan him? You have said Jeffren would be a loan so wouldn't it be either Jeffren or Sturridge? Sturridge could always be convinced to join on loan with cash, is it possible Liverpool will wait until Chelsea sign one or two forwards and then say they will only take him on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer? Chelsea may want Sturridge out of the way then and Liverpool would offer them a place for him to go.

Disney! {Ed002's Note - The approach about a loan was in the summer - this latest approach is about buying the player. If they wish to loan the player now they would need to convey that to Chelsea. I have no feelings if that would be of interest to the player but think it most unlikely Chelsea would want to go down that route. If Liverpool were to wait until Chelsea sign players and then screw them around it would be unprofessional and could leave Liverpool with nothing - strikes me as unlikely.}

He didn't say that at all, he said there would be no quick fix in January due to availability and affordability.

Ashy

Ed002 it is a misquote... basically he said there will not be too many top players moving in the January window as clubs want top prices.

He went on to say that next summer we will be in a better position than we were for the last.

K79 {Ed002's Note - Which sounds like what we have been trying vto explain here for some time.}

Ed002, but Liverpool did try unprofessional tactics trying to sign Dempsey. I see it dragging on til the end of the window then Liverpool offering to take him on loan only. Like you said it could leave them with nothing, but then again it could get them a player for almost nothing til the summer and a chance to see if he fits in with the side before they buy. I agree that this would be unlikely in most cases, but with Liverpool doing what they did in the Dempsey pursuit it has to remain possible.

Disney! {Ed002's Note - I don't know what you know of the situation with Dempsey Syd but there was nothing deliberate in the upload to the web site. Negotiation wise they screwed it up and for some prople it was a really big deal. It is no more than a suck it up and move on situation as far as I am concerned. If a club is not prepared to pay the price asked for a player nor make an acceptable bid, they have to accept that the player may not make the move.}

I couldn't agree more Ed. Just traveling around the pages until the United page is refreshed.

Disney!

Its wonderfull how people see the same black and white writing in different ways.

He has said that most of the names linked to the club is pie in the sky, who would disagree, look how many players have been linked on this site alone, we are not going to be signing or even interested in them all.

He has said there won't be many top players moving in the window, this is historically accurate but he hasn't ruled it out, there are always exceptions but most teams will want to keep their best players until the seasons end.

He has also said we will strengthen in January, therefore we will make a few signings in Jan, if one is a goal getter we won't be far off, add Borini coming back into the mix and another winger, it means we can rotate the younger guys and take some pressure off Suarez.

Guy's it's a smokescreen. Llorente is heading to Liverpool.

Brad

BRAD
If it is what you say it is "a smokescreen" why say anything?
In the past whan asked about transfers managers simplly say "i dont wont to talk transfers"!

their is more to this,than a simple we will do our dealing in the summer,and its a rebuild that will take time.

FSG made the mistake in letting Carroll go with no cover,this is their opertunity to put this right,and if they dont do now,i dont expect they will in the summer!

I know Ronaldinho may sounds unrealistic, but LFC needs an artist of football like him and what he did fo Barca. Can we find an entertaining attacking midfielder/forward lately?

He also said in the summer that an exciting player would come and never did. maybe he dont want peolpe to get too excited just incase nothing happens?

Eds
Anything on remy wkuld love him.. and is there any interest in j menez {Ed002's Note - There was some movement last week. Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Everton and Lille have shown varying degrees of interest in Loic Remy. There was discussion with Chelsea about Remy during the negotiations over Azpilicueta but it came to nothing. Remy would perhaps be interested in a move to England but his recent form has been poor and Marseille know it will be difficult to get a good price for the player. Newcastle will likely make a low offer for Remy in January and might face opposition from Everton who, last week, made an approach to Marseille about his availability. As far as Marseille are concerned, they have started looking for a replacement.}

hi eds
It is said today that PATO is up for grabs for 12.5m
And chelsea and some brazil sides are interested
I dont get it why havent we been looking at him or try and buy him or have we?
And honda is open to a january move or summer move to liverpool and it could be around 8 to 10million
YNWA {Ed002's Note - It is not possible for Liverpool to buy every single player or even show interest in every single player - it really doesn't work that way. A derisory offer of 15M euro and options on two players does not mean anything in terms of Pato moving to Liverpool - particularly given he is yet again injured.}

Eds, what if the scouts supposedly at the Lyon matches are scouting Alexandre Lacazette instead of Gomis? He is a U-21 French international playing RWF in a 4-3-3, so it would fit the profile of what we are looking for. Gourcuff (playing LWF) is the other possibility. Any rumours on either? {Ed002's Note - There are always rumours about Gourcuff, but I know of nothing for either player involving Liverpool. Sorry.}

Eds we had a deal a couple of season back that we would have a first option on young players from Belgian Club Genk, I got told this deal was up until 2014? However with all the recent changes In management has this deal been withdrawn? Sadly quite a few good players have came from Genk as of late that we have missed out on

Cheers Peter {Ed002's Note - You mean players like Courtois, Mokoena, Benteke and De Bruyne? I am sorry but I know not of a deal that would have seen them move to Liverpool.}

Liverpool has first option if they match the other teams bid but i dont think we wor interested in any of them players who look like there going to be very good players chelsea own courtuis and de bruyne who are out on loan and progressing very well then villa paid 7 million for benteke who now looks a bargain our scouts have been shocking the last 10 years now,mark {Ed002's Note - I think someone may have misled you Mark about Liverpool having first option on all Genk players.}

There is/was an agreement with Genk, but nothing is said of us getting first option on their players. We could send them fringe players on loan, while send new signings on loan to them for them to get EU work permits. Have either of these happened? {Ed002's Note -It is a very naively written article in terms of bringing in players from South America and Africa. Mavinga went on loan of course.}

Redrooster {Ed001's Note - not that I am aware of and yes he is.}

No idea if there's anything in it, probably just lazy paper talk but i'd love him at the club.

Me too think he is a class act
