I've been told we're interested in signing Daley Blind (as DM not LB) as direct replacement for Lucas. Any info to back this up?

He's probably gone for some of those special cakes that people have spoken about. Maybe also heard about someone being available in the "red light district" and has gone to see how much they would cost.

He has a 4-some booked in with a blonde lady and brunette hermaphrodite. The 4th member getting involved will actually be his Harley, on top of which the performance will be "performed".

He's buying Viktor Fischer, obviously. Or maybe it's Jasper Cillessen?

Ian Ayre is going to Amsterdam this evening for a meeting. Eto'o's agent is based in Amsterdam so looks like he could be on his way to Anfield

Neither of them thanks, rather we didn't sign either of them if that's the choice and see how Borini gets on til January.

God I hope he's just going for a proper bender, I'd rather he came back sloshed with no work done than Eto'o.

Eds001.
Amongst all the nonsense with LFC being connected to Falcao and Cavani
Have LFC, at anytime registered any interest, via there representitives and agents with the selling clubs (Monaco and PSG) represntitives and agents, in way shape or form?
And do you know if the club have registered any ineterest, as it stands today in any particular striker?
Im sorry to bring those two players up, but there is no definitive answer in the search function in terms of registered / official interest
Thank you in advance

Eds
We've all seen and read rumours about strikers were interested in ie Falcao, Cavani and Lavezzi (which personally I hope we don't get as I think they'd just be here for a payday). Do you think Bony is our preferred target? or would you prefer someone else ie Lacazette, Balotelli, Martinez. Would be interested to know who would like us to buy
thanks

Unbelievable11
{Ed002's Note - Lacazette was of interest but everyone has moved on. Lavezzi will leave PSG this week and again Liverpool has enquired after the player - but his preference is for Italy if a deal can be made. Falcao wishes a move to Real Madrid and I suspect that something can still be done there - although there is significant interest from elsewhere now. Cavani does not need to be sold to fund Di Maria but would need to be sold if PSG could persuade Chelsea to sell them Oscar - but Chelsea rejected an offer last Thursday. Macca has mentioned interest in Bony and Balotelli - I have commented on both which you can find by using the search engine. Jackson Martinez has not been mentioned for a while and after a summer trying to complete a move to Valencia might well still be available.}
Lfc should chase jackson martinez instead falcao.

Who out of these if you could pick would you prefer Ed please? Who is more probable? ( I realise that's a bad question )
Agree1
Disagree1
{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get in to the "more probable". I have explained before that the route I personally thought would suit Liverpool best and was completely viable and affordable to bring in two forwards players to improve on last year.
Pedro Rodriguez would bring a wealth of experience, including vital Champions League experience. I could see he could work around the likes of Sturridge without disrupting the team - he can see space to run at and Liverpool have players like Coutinho who can put the ball in that space. He can naturally score goals. I don't want to get in to anything about "replacing" Suarez but Pedro, to me, would have improved Liverpool this season.
The second player is Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - he wants another challenge so has the hunger. He knows that at his age he will not be starting every game. Vast experience across the major European leagues, internationally and in European competition - goals again, level-headed, zero maintenance - I think he would have been the second great buy.}
Perhaps flogging a dead horse but would Shaqiri, Firmino or Depay be viable options? All can play as wingers/striker.
Agree0
Disagree0
{Ed002's Note - Try the search function.}
All this talk of a "marquee" striker signing, do we really need to pay huge wages to Falco or a huge transfer fee for Cavani?
Bony would be good option as he offers something different to Sturridge, Ballotelli on loan makes a bit of sense, more so than E'to, Reus may be the best option if his release clause is to be believed, not an out and out striker but could play there or part of interchangeable front 2/3
Agree0
Disagree0
{Ed002's Note - Ignore talk about "release clauses".}
The reason why Bony deal hasn't been wrapped up yet is because he'll be gone for over a month during African Nations Cup 2015 from early January to late February. The whole idea behind BR wanting a second striker is that depending on just 2 strikers (remember 2012-13) is very dangerous. The club has a lot of belief in Origi who will be coming in next year. So basically they are contemplating with the idea of trying to wrap a loan deal with either Balloteli or Falcao having the knowledge that Origi is scheduled to shoulder striking responsibilities next year.

Sorry if I have missed something ED but is there a reason why we could not look at Pedro now? Or, is he just not even under consideration by the club?
Agree0

{Ed002's Note - The club has shown no interest in him this summer and have run around spending money elsewhere.}
I'd be made up if we got huntelaar and konoplyanka. Huntelaar would come in knowing and accepting the role expected.
Agree0

Might just be in our best interest to get Cavani, although I don't particulary rate the player. If we get Cavani, then PSG will have funds for Di Maria, so he won't go to the mancs. Worth considering for mr Ayre and mr Rodgers I think. Strengthening us somewhat, and in the process weakening our competition. Mr Wenger has done this a couple of times, always seamed like a clever move to me.
Agree0
Disagree0
{Ed002's Note - So £110M or so to perhaps ensure another player doesn't move somewhere. Interesting. PSG have other players to sell in their pursuit of Di Maria - want to buy Rabiot, Pastore and Lavezzi as well?}
But besides getting a helluva player in Sanchez, Wenger made sure we didn't get him, and that Barca got some cash towards Suarez. Pretty clever, and worth paying over the odds, if you can weaken rivals in the process. Getting Lavezzi would bring the same kind of side benefeits, by the way.
