Hey EDS i know we own Vilyan Bijev any news about him lately on loan. we had to send him out due to work permits but do you think he would be fine no if we were to push for one, or what not? {Ed002's Note - I don't know - but I think it may well be doubtful for next season.}

Shoot ed. is it because of not enough time on field at dusseldorf? like i said he seems to have a real knack for goals or he did atleast when he signed him at a younger age {Ed002's Note - The situation with work permits is that a player will be granted one if (a) he has played 75% of games at full international level for two years for a country ranked reasonably high up, or (b) if an exemption is applied for and granted under the "exceptional talent" provisions. For example, if a case is made to the authorities that a young South American is a demonstrable talent and clearly one for the future, it should be reasonably easy to have an exemption granted. If however, a pretty much run of the mill or average player was being bought and it was clear they are not appreciably better than those which could be found locally, or are being bought because they are cheap, then it will be much more difficult to obtain a work permit. WE will see in the summer.}

Thanks for explaining it to me ed makes more sense now. also thought it would have been easier since his dad is bulgarian and gos back between the states and bulgaria a lot i believe. like a dual citizen ship

eds any interes in kevin mirallas of panothanaikos (spelling). great player he's got the speed, shot and dribbling that we need in a winger.
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Not from outside of France and it is doubtful he will move this summer.}

You can tell this guy has seen Mirallas off FIFA 12 UT, as he as amazing Pace, Shot & Dribbling.

LOL he plays for Olympiakos

He's very talented,has the ball on a string

Yeh it's Olympiakos, i always buy him on FIFA because he's a bit of a bargain, as is Sebastian Leto and Sotirios Ninis, as are all the players in the "rest of the world" search section.
But in Ninis, he is actually a really good player, buy him...

hey eds ive seen we have signed dan smith and i cant find anything about him like position etc and do we have any intrest in powell?

He's a cm , small physically, with excellent technique , more attacking then defending. And yes we have been scouting Powell,Clayton and garrat

Hi eds! Do you know of any interest in Ricky van wolfswinkle?

Thanks
Jman {Ed002's Note - Signed for Sporting Lisbon in the summer but less than a year later we know of confirmed interest from Lazio, Fiorentina, Spurs and Newcastle and on goining rumoured interest from Manchester United and Liverpool. Sporting said they will talk to interested parties who offer 20M euros or more - about four times what they paid in the summer.}

I think there are better options out there

18 Apr 2012 18:47:35
If there is actual interest from PSV in eccelston, i think we should use him in a deal for us to get strootman because he isn't going 2 make it at our club....would also like us to sign c.dempsey but not for more than 10 million and maybe de jong who is a class finisher in the box

Eccelston would fetch about 1 million and strootman would cost 20+ million not much of a deal gonna happen there mate

Ed were psv the team that came out and said the wanted Suarez?
Sound
J-lk {Ed002's Note - No - PSG, Palermo, Roma and Juventus.}

Oh PSG aw ok thanks I got excited =P im personally a huge admirer of Strootman, I think he is very similar to Gerrard of old :)
J-lk

He's poor been playing FIFA to much mate

I don't play computer games mate so my views are purely of observations J-lk

He's no 20m player , yet anyway

De Jong isn't that good of a finisher.

Id rather mertens from psv

If Kevin Strootman was the finished article at the age of 22 then you would be looking at a fee well in excess of £20million. The guy will keep getting better and better so the current asking price could prove to be a bargain.

£15-20million should get Strootman. He's going to be a quality player, would love us to get him. There maybe a few teams in for him though.
Kev79

Eccelstone will never amount to anything worthy of a mention. The same as mukendi, ngoo,amoo and the huge blonde lad however there is hope in Morgan and Sinclair. We seem to only want big gangly units as our strikers we need more players with technical ability as I'm sure you'll all agree we don't want to be bringing through future Stoke players.

Whos our tall blonde fella.... our academy has more then morgan sinclair for up forward positions. Ibe Ojo Peterson Sterling Adorjan to name a few that either play striker or can play striker if need be and well i believe. plus Vilyan Bijev and Marco Bueno

Erm I he's sweedish or similar hasn't played in ages probably injured again and the lads you just mentioned are all used as wingers with the exception of suso adrojan also ojo has never players for our 18/19 or reserve teams so I don't know about him although I was under the impression he's at MK dons till the end of the season and the last 2 aren't even our players sooooo

His name is Christian emeilson

What the f*** is going on with all this Mertesacker nonsense?

Chris in Tamworth

Absolutely have no idea either mate.

Square tomato

Mertesacker, drenthe, dempsy, kalou, agbonlahor etc etc... the whole site has gone mental... lets just hope kenny hasnt been on in the last few days to see who the fans want!

Eds do you know if anyone has shown any interest in German attacker André Schürrle? He looks like a top player. {Ed002's Note - We understand he is not going to be available this summer.}

And when he is made available, he'll cost an absolute boat load, very classy player is the lad.

any news on luuk de jong? we were looking at him in january, but what about now in the summer {Ed002's Note - Interest remains I am told.}

18 Apr 2012 17:49:05
any new news regarding M.sisokko whether he remains a possibility? ty

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new but other destinations are far more likely than Liverpool now.}

I've only seen him play a bit, but all this season, but after watching him about 5 or 6 times so far this season, i have to say he's looked a little lost... He tends to just blend in with the grass when he's not on the ball, it didn't seem like laziness, more like just struggling to take up decent positioning, and a lot of attacking moves were launched from way deeper by Capoue and missed out on the attacking midfielders altogether. I suppose we could put it down to team tactics, but i'd like to see a midfielder want the ball WAY more than i've seen. Toulouse have looked the Capoue and Riviere show at times.

A usual i could be wrong, like i said i've only seen Sissoko the handful of times.

So long as we're looking at midfielders in france, Belhanda is making the game look very easy at the moment, especially having Giroud to feed.

Crewe Alexandra have confirmed that midfield starlet Dan Smith has signed for Liverpool.

Manchester City were also keen on the 16-year-old midfielder, who is an England youth international.

But Liverpool have now moved to agree a deal reported to be worth around £250,000, although if he makes the first-team it could possibly rise to £1million.

Crewe spokesman Rob Wilson confirmed: "We are naturally disappointed that Dan has decided to sign for Liverpool.

"The club has received an undisclosed fee and future add-ons but we would have much preferred to have seen him play for our first team."

Smith, who has been with Crewe's highly acclaimed academy since the age of 11, also confirmed the deal when he Tweeted a picture of himself with Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish.

Any chance lfc could go for kalou eds? He does pop up and grab the odd goal and lfc need goals desperately {Ed002's Note - I have really no idea.}

Kalou is an appalling player who is not good enough for LFC. We will really be going backwards if we sign such a poor player.

We are intrested

I dont think the odd goal wud be gud enough

bluekaz

Kalou you must be having a laugh

We are not interested

Kalou would be a great addition on the right, young, scores goals and would be cheap. Who else is a better RW for around 3-5 million?

It's Kalou's agent posting now!

Yeah but theres one problem about that....we need lots of goals, not the odd goal!

Any chance of exposing whoever suggested this. What name do they go by please Edd so I can ignore whatever they suggest in future. Thanks

Ryan Babel was a much better player than Kalou will ever be. So what's the point.
kidmillions

Kalou has no Kalou about Football

18 Apr 2012 15:07:51
Eds, do Liverpool have any interest in Stefan Jovetic from Fiorentina? {Ed002's Note - No but Arsenal did show previous interest, but both Chelsea and Napoli remain interested if and when he becomes available.}

Suffers from same injury as Demba Ba, something to do with his knee/leg, clubs are reluctant to splash out the £20m euros or so it would take to lure him.

I've just been told by my blue nose mate in work that we've signed drenthe. He reckons the reason the was dropped from the semi match was Moyes had heard the rumour and also that he's bought a house in the area. Drenthe admitted it and that his head has been turned.
I really hope this aint true, he's been trouble wherever he's been, and crap as well!
Can anyone else shed any light on this?

I've seen these rumours too. It's entirely people making assumptions based on the fact that he has bought a house in Hale now, so they assume he's setting himself up to stay in Merseyside. For me, that's not nearly enough evidence to suggest he's agreed to come to LFC and until I hear more, I'm assuming it's people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

DP

Could you please explain how we have signed as we cannot sign anybody till end of season at earlist
mrbrown

He is not crap, but reminds me too much of Lennon, Wright-Phillips all pace but no end product, but if its a free it wouldn't be a bad move as he would replace either Maxi or Kuyt.

BigD

Could have possibly signed him on pre-contract as he is owned by a foreign club and only on loan atm. Hope not though, would rather give Sterling a run instead of wasting money on Drenthe

For 80000 a week I wouldn't consider him to be a cheap option as he has already shown his inability in this league.

"already shown his inability in this league." 5 assists and 3 goals in 10 starts what inability are you talking about? for a free he could be a major coup as squad depth

Drenthe is a good talent but he is like balotelli he has a bad boy I age which I think that you can't really take. Away from him

Crap.

DaveyBootle

Drenthe for 3 million will be great as cover for Enrique and Downing. He's faster than Downing, has more goals / assists and is more skillful. For once liverpool should get a bargain, Drenthe, Kalou, Johnson, Hoilett, Rossi, Affellay, Sahin could all become available for good prices, it's about time liverpool got a bargain.

Are we becoming the new crazy gang eds .ed002 btw i read the posts last night about you telling the truth instead of lying ,put a post up that were signing messi for the crack lol then tell them your lying lol.
Eam {Ed002's Note - They'll believe it Eam.}

Bought a house in Hale? Already I'm thinking he's a bit dim.

Just to point out how hapless some of the posters are here and have been:

* Fabio Coentrao -- 30mil
* Jose Enrique -- 7mil

Which one did you wanted to sign for us?

Jack D.

This post sense no makes

So Coentrão has one bad game and he is carp? There is no doubt Coentrão is the far superior player and I don't think anyone suggested to spend 30m on him at the time, and not even Real Madrid spent 30m pounds it was Euros.Btw I am a big fan of Enrique found it ridiculous that people wanted Cissokho etc ahead of him but just pointing out that Coentrão is a superb player and has been ok for Real just that Mourinho played him as a CM

Andy Carroll (£35m) or Demba Ba (£6m) or Cisse (£9m)?

I guess you win some you lose some

Gav

We would of signed Demba Ba if his knee wasnt so dodgy. When his knee goes again his career will end. Cisse was a big gamble by Newcastle. There is no saying it will pay off in the long run. He might never ever score again. You just never know. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool made no effort to sign Demba ba.}

Demba Ba was Free Lol

"Cisse was a big gamble"-some posts are really beyond me ok Demba Ba was a gamble because of his knees, How come signing a proven goal scorer for 9m be ever a gamble? It was hardly surprising for many who followed football that he has come good, You can check the Archives and even in this site posters have said the same on the day he signed. I will give you another name Moussa Sow if he came to the Premier league impact would have been similar

Neither both crap,Jose (I'm stronger than you) Enrique,what has he offered us gets caught ball watching far to much and offers nothing going forward,tell u what he is good at shielding the ball out.

Yeah i remember fellow liverool fans saying Enrique would be a rubbish signing. Then they'd praise Coentrao as a master stroke by Real Madrid. These are the same people that say Drenthe is garbage and that Kalou is not good enough for LFC. Although there happy when were linked with players like Matt Jarvis. The mind boggles sometimes...

PLEASE, people stop saying that Matt Jarvis is crap!!. He has far more assists than Downing has which is what Downing is suppposed to do forget scoring!!. Secondly he is more pacier than Downing. I bet if i gave downing the whole pitch to run, i could walk and win him with him running at FULL speed!!.

Jarvis maybe playing in a team fighting relegation but then how do you explain Ferguson signing Valencia from a relegation threatened Wigan(at the time he was there) and now he is probs worth his 20-25M. Jarvis will cost us about 7-9M, so we dont take a big gamble. If we ever raided Aston Villa, why didnt we go for Albrighton as he is an even more traditional winger than Downing. Just that he lacks pace that say a guy like McClean has but when it comes to crossing. HE LIVES TO CROSS and makes sure it gets in there....

Not gonna lie, I wanted Coentraõ. But happy with Enrique, tank at left back!

Wasn't downing signed based on his stats last season. That worked out well didn't it. I'd rather see people signed that fit our strategy not players that have good stats...they can lie.

18 Apr 2012 13:25:11
Alright Edds just wondering with regards to transfers, when we sign players, say downing for example was 20 million, does that price include the agents fees and signing on fee e.t.c? Hope you understand what I mean. Thanks in advance!

G BOX {Ed002's Note - The fees usually discussed exclude all taxes and agent fees.}

18 Apr 2012 13:18:40
Liverpool will be bidding for cavani in the summer but there are no talks between M. Suarez

Get in cavani agood player :)

So will Real Madrid.

Ollieston

Lol while there at then the might as well bid for messi,cavani is way out of liverpools league apart from maybe on football manager-unfortunately youth is the only chance for lfc now

18 Apr 2012 13:15:59
Ed, do you think Suso will be ready to step up to the first team next season (obviously just as a squad player to start) now that he has grown?

ToonRed {Ed002's Note - He may need to get some time on loan to get some experience first.}

Lets hope blackpool come up, he would flourish on loan there {Ed003's Note - Fantastic idea}

Play him now to give him experience as our season is over..

Hopefully the remaining League games, pre-season friendlies and easier Europa League games will be used to blood the likes of Suso, Sterling, Silva, Adorjan and Coady etc.
I'd hate for us to lose any of our promising kids because they weren't given the chance to prove themselves.
ANFIELDPETE

Suso just another in a long line of over hyped kids,if there good enough they will be given chance-pongolle,latallec,pourie,dalla valla an more recently pachecho all hyped up as saviours an not even nearly good enough in end.in 20 years only fowler owen gerrard an carragher come through youth team to be top of there game,name one kid liverpool have ever let leave who has ever become a top player?

18 Apr 2012 13:03:28
As predicted two months ago, COME ON DOWN CLINT DEMPSEY. First name to walk through the Anfield door at the end of season.

RedRevival

Why the hell would we want Dempsey.... Sorry, yeah had a good season but Im afraid we should be looking at better players than him if we want to get back into the top 4

Doubt it very much.
CR

Hmmmm must of missed that news confrence

I hope its because he was lost on his way to a happy ,if uneventful, retirement at goodison

I'm not a Liverpool fan, but your doing it again. A player has one good season and you thinkj you need him. I wouldnt be suprised if you paid about 25m for him. He's in his late 20's and he is not what you need.

Spend the money on some better scouts and get some kids in for the future.

Your always talking about the past but never about what can happen down the line.

Couldn't agree more but can't see it happening somehow.
ANFIELDPETE

Dempsey is awesome, I'm from the US and support liverpool. In principle I would love to see him in a reds jersey, But i don't think this would be a good fit long (or even medium) term. We might get maybe 1 or 2 decent seasons out of him, but his age is an issue. He has had more than one good season at FFC, and has been epic for the national side, but would not have the freedom at liverpool to excel. Unless we get him cheap and plan on paying someone else's transfer fee with the shirt sales - i don;t see it.
The Red Seth

Your all stupid Dempsey is awesome...id have him at Liverpool tomorrow.

Yeah right no chance

The Red Seph, do you think a signing like this would enhance Liverpool's position in the US? It wouldn't suprise me if the blues sniff around him.

DaveyBootle

I don't care about his age. Its about time you guys realised that Dempsey is AWESOME

No thanks sick and tired of Adam, Downing, Carroll, Henderson and that philosophy. One good season = 20 million to liverpool....please stop now.

DaveyBootle, as an American as well I'd say that would have minimal impact. Most Americans that follow soccer and know who Clint Dempsey actually is already have a favorite team (generally Real, Barca, ManUtd, and Chelsea, although there are a decent amount of LFC supporters as well).

Far bigger bang for the buck is getting people like LeBron James to wear LFC kit more often in public.

My thoughts anyway.

RDL {Ed002's Note - Purely from a player perspective Brek Shea is probably the right guy to get the name out but I doubt he is good enough to have a significant impact on the EPL at this time.}

Your wrong he will go to Arsenal 100%

Elmo
LFC forever

Why is everybody so hung up about age on here? I only thought Arsenal were like that.

18 Apr 2012 12:45:20
one player liverpool are keeping an eye on is Benzema, Kenny knows that if he does still have the job next season, the team needs to hit the ground running so isnt willing to take a risk with a striker, he wants someone that is gauranted to score. Liverpool are hoping that the big teams concentrate on the likes of Falco, cavani and lavezzi, leaving them as the best option for Benzema

Mate...Benzema is on fire this season. He is right back up there as one of the best strikers in the world having discovered his fom. There is no way Madrid would part with him, he would be just as difficult to nab as any of the other unlikely targets you mentioned. Even if we had the cash to spend they simply wouldnt come to a club langusing in mid table with no hope of CL foootball. Its better if we talk about relatistc transfer propects than assuming we are in the heavyweight catagory....we are not

Agreed, id be more than happy with g.ramirez and M.suarez, like previous poster i dont see Madrid letting him go with his form, and the rumours in january about higuain leaving wouldnt leave them to healthy up front

Benz will not leave madrid unless mou leaves...which is unlikely for now. as for strikers, i can care less who comes in as long as he can score a lot goals

SLURed

If benzema will leave, he will no way in hell join liverpool...get a grip man and stop dreaming and playing fm isn't real life!!!

Hi eds, hear anything about Montolivo's proposed move to Milan? Italian newspaper, La Nazione, reports that he has already signed a 4-year contract for Milan, & will earn 2.5m per year.

What does this mean for Aquilani?

Sikander. {Ed002's Note - Montolivo will leave Fiorentina in the summer and regardless of interest from Juventus, Liverpool and Roma will almost certainly move to AC Milan. No contract has been signed but the suggested deal is in line with Branchini's expectations. There is no imapct on Aquilani.}

Ah, ok. Cheers.

When u say there is no impact...do u mean to say he ll return os will stay {Ed002's Note - Aquilani will almost certainly complete his transfer in the next few weeks.}

If A.C Milan do the dirty and stop playing Aquilani as to stop the criteria of games being fulfilled to trigger the automatic transfer.

Then would we have him back, loan him out again or sell him to the highest bidder ?

Aquilani is a very good player and things just didn't click for him at Liverpool.

It does have an impact on Aquilani ED 02. I know you will say that Aquilani didnt join Juve bcoz they were playing hard ball over the price but if you look analytically. It was because they had already arranged a deal to sign Pirlo. Me thinks the same will happen with Aquilani. With Montolivo in the bag, they actually have no use of Aqua. You do know that Montolivo is far superior than Aquilani in EVERY aspect except maybe speed and acceleration. Now i am not saying they wont sign him, but there has to be a chance that he will return though its slimmer than heel on a models shoes!!... {Ed002's Note - If they don't play him anymore then you are right he does not need to transfer.}

18 Apr 2012 12:17:42
Nice to see the signing of the Crewe youngster. They've always had a good youngster set-up. They've always had a crop of scousers there aswell as they did my three mates, who, unfortunately, never quite made it (because they love the ale and had a combined weight of fifty stone between the three of them). The club need to keep good relationships with these clubs as it as important as ever.

DaveyBootle

18 Apr 2012 12:07:12
these royston Drenthe stories appear to be gathering pace.....is there any truth?

seems a strange one if you ask me..but might explain why he was nt involved in the semi?

who knows....?

18 Apr 2012 12:06:54
what are the thoughts on Dan Smith. I know hardly anything about him. thanks.

I know Dan Smith scored a goal against Chelsea youth and it was the winning goal of the match.

He's physically small and has quick feet, from what i've seen but i haven't seen that much of Smith playing. Just glimpses in the youth matches.

Hi ed's, any truth in Kalou? makes no sense to me. Just more lazy journalism?

rikdangerous {Ed002's Note - I don't understand the question - sorry.}

18 Apr 2012 11:54:50
Milan just signed Ricardo Monotlivo, so perhaps won't take up the option of Aquilani...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought once Aquaman stepped on the pitch for a 25th time the option was automatically taken, and he's played in 25 games for AC Milan now? {Ed002's Note - It is 25 credits based on one credit for a start, half for a sub appearance and less a half if taken off before minute x.}

It's not a question of 'taking up the option' - he starts 25 games, he is their man. No options at all, unless they now deliberately choose not to play him any more which I can't see happening (there is a precedent of sorts - a few years ago Middlesbrough didn't play Gary O'Neil for close to a month to avoid having to fork out a £1M fee to Portsmouth.)

Even if Milan did do that, Aquilani plainly does not want to play for us and will most likely be sold/loaned out again.

Having said all that, it is still more than likely that he will start the remaining (2? 3?) games that will complete his transfer.

TSP

They have to now

18 Apr 2012 11:38:12
nice to see we signed another prospect in dan smith. what is the latest on the other crewe youngsters in regards to liverpool? clayton, powell and garratt? I know Ed001 said they have been watched.

cheers

Red Rout {Ed001's Note - Powell is being most closely followed, trouble is the price, they are asking too much.}

How much are they asking for ed? {Ed001's Note - I am not entirely sure, but it was at least 3m + add ons for international appearances etc. A lot of money for a player in League Two.}

I was told about this deal a couple of weeks ago.. I'm happy were getting the best young talent, but how are they all going to play? A lot of our best youngsters all play in the same position

Springer

3m+ add ons, Crewe would ccetrainly be more than struggling to get that. Perhaps, way too much. YNWA Trustme

Powell is talented from what I have seen.

Unfortunately this is the world that we are living in - everything is overpriced. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and weigh up potential and future market value against current asking price. The lad is clearly talented and may well be worth the gamble though.

18 Apr 2012 11:25:31
Hi ed do you know of any interest in Granit Xhaka?

Hero {Ed001's Note - not from us I don't.}

[TRANSLATION] When will the "I saw such a body" at liverpool airport and the "I'm a taxi driver" or "my sister's boyfriend's cousin's aunties uncle's dog's parrot knows a guy who knows a guy who is signing for lfc"? My brother's mate's mother's bit on the side works for a footbal agent and is somewhat itk...apparently he reckons...wait for it...that Liverpool are sh!t and wont get into the top 4 again next year ; )

Sorry couldn't resist!

Gav

Ok, well i've got a rumour which i believe.

My younger brother and his friends sometimes go to various clubs around the city and occassionally see high profile players. It was on one of these excursions that he overheard some-one who i won't name chatting with who appeared to be an agent. Anyway, this agent was adamant that Gary Lineker will soon be making another Walkers Crisps advert.

If this doesn't happen then don't shoot the messenger. I rarely post on here anyway because i get shot down if things don't happen immediately but thought i'd mention this one as it comes from a good source.

Nice one Gav. Your even more of an person than the original poster. Trying to be clever with your translation but clearly you could with a hand yourself. I think you will find that you should have written posts, not post. Good effort though numpty. ;)

Without speculating on the likelihood of Pepe leaving or not, would we go for Muslera? not asking because he's international team-mates with LS and Seb, but he's agile, was impressive in the world cup, has CL and Europa experience and is only 25. Playa for Galatasaray, so probably wouldnt cost much either.

Also, I believe the Turkish side are interested in Kuyt, who would be able to link up with his old left-sided counterpart Albert Riera.

If Reina were to decide to leave then id expect us to command a fee in the region of £25m - £30m, as he is one of the best Goalkeepers in the world, and is a lot better than De Gea of Utd who cost in excess of £17m, and the replace for Reina in my view should be Marc-Andre ter Stegen of B.Monchengladbach he is young at 21, and a very good keeper that would command a fee in the region of £12m - £15m.

BigD

Riera was over weekend before last as he was suspended in turkey, he came over to see his pal Pepe we played some golf and he gave me a big hint that Dirk is going to join him over there. CREWE Alex have lost their battle to stop highly-rated midfielder Dan Smith leaving for the Premier League, the Chronicle can reveal.

The Alex hoped the England youth international would stay after his proposed switch to Manchester City fell through last month.

But it has emerged Liverpool hijacked the move and sealed a six-figure deal for the 16-year-old.

Club insiders are devastated at the loss of the star prospect who was painstakingly developed at the Alex academy.

But the fee, thought to be about £300,000 with extra for appearances, will ease financial pressure following the £1m loss posted in their latest accounts.

Alex spokesman Rob Wilson said: "We are naturally disappointed that Dan has decided to sign for Liverpool.

"The club has received an undisclosed fee and future add-ons but we would have much preferred to have seen him play for our first team."

Smith, from Staffordshire, who is in his final year at secondary school, arrived at Crewe, aged 11.

He quickly progressed, earned international honours and caught the eye of scouts across the country.

He signed scholarship forms with the Alex but soon saw his future elsewhere.

Smith used social networking site Twitter to announce his move, posting a picture of himself alongside manager Kenny Dalglish under the message 'signing for Liverpool'.

His departure is a blow to Crewe's mission to keep their best young players but academy director James Collins has already reassured fans it will not unsettle other youngsters.

And the cash injection could strengthen the Alex's bargaining position when big clubs come calling for Nick Powell in the summer.

(212.183.105.90)

Hi Eds,
Alberto Aquilani has so far played in 28 competitive games for AC Milan.
He has started just 17 of them.

Apps (subs)
CL: 7 (4)
Serie A: 20 (7)
Coppa Italia: 1 (0)

http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/aquilani/profil/spieler_5957.html

With just 5 Serie A games remaining, I can't see him reaching the 25 starts, which would make a deal happen.
Eds, what do you think? Will the deal take place? {Ed002's Note - The deal will almost certainly go through with the current starts less half marks for being substituted before half time plus half marks for the sub appearances.}

He has played 28 games for a c milan its on their website!

There was a story in the liverpoolecho a few weeks back which had qoutes from aquilani's agent.....The story said that aquilani needs 25 games for the clause of buy option for milan to happen........Under that clause,1 start counts as 1 game whereas 1 sub appearance counts as half....So(if op's data is correct) then 17 starts+11 sub apps(5.5 games)=22.5 games till now....

I dont see where you get 35 games ed ?

whats that international and freindly app ?

i can only see his started 17 times for milan this season {Ed002's Note - Sorry I was counting the halfs as full. I am not sure he played in friendlies at all.}

I have heard that Liverpool are front runners to sign Adam Johnson and Daniel Sturridge in the summer

I highly doubt it

Watch us pay 25 mill for adam johnson and 30 mill for sturridge lol

Johnson good signing BUT not Sturridge

Drenthe to liverpool looks a dead cert. He has bought a house in liverpool.Submitted planning permits to extend it too. i believe the house is in the Hale area of liverpool. Seems odd he would buy a house while playing for everton on loan?? Hes had the ability to talk to teams since january. not sure about him as he is quick and has ability also a wonderful shot, but i feel he lack in defensive duties and seems to give the ball away too easily. any thoughts

Any thoughts? Yes, stay well clear he's trouble with a capital T.

Danny

Cant help thinking this is just like the Ryan Babel situation all over again! Will promise so much but deliver next to nothing.

The guy has worked his way up to being on 80k a week a real madrid, surely he was a quality player at some time? Id like to say kenny could maybe bring the best out of him but hes struggleing to do that with the players he already has!

So Drenthe is buying a house in Liverpool? He currently plays on loan for Everton, which I believe is based in the city of Liverpool, where he has been praised for his performances..... yep. Must be signing for us then!

At least recognise your source...

Was fourth official on twitter folks..

red snake

The only explination then, who would buy a house in liverpool and have to travel all the way to everton . everyday for a misley £80,000 per week forget that.

Can i just point out that Hale isn't too far from Everton's training ground in Halewood ...... My nan lives around the corner so i know the area, but i'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet anyway. He could well stay at Everton, i don't see why Liverpool would want him.

Is there any interest on THORGAN HAZARD?what is your opinion on him? {Ed002's Note - There is no interest at this time but much is expected of him in the future.}

Why dont we sign him at this time for penny's compared to what it will be in years to come ?

Why don't we grab him before other clubs? His brother eden hazard has admitted that thorgan is going to be better than him. And perhaps only cost us 10% of carroll's cost. What a shame that we are not take him now. I just can hope and pray for that to happen. :(

Alright Ed's. Just wondering, and not in relation to Liverpool in particular, could Robert Lewandowski be on the move this summer? Seen him touted around a little, but surely Dortmund would require a hefty sum. {Ed001's Note - I haven't heard anything about him moving, I would think it was unlikely anyway.}
