Liverpool rumour coming out tonight is that Liverpool have asked Lille to keep us fully up to date with E Hazard situation and I'v heard we're about to put a bid in believed to be in the 18 mil region.

Daily Post is running the story so you can all read it in the morning.

I would personally love him at Anfield next season. Has any ED's heard anything about this story or anybody else.

Marin is not coming to pool, just read this he wants to stay at his club. a question ed how many wingers do you think we should buy and who? thanks

hibsylfc {Ed002's Note - I can't say who will come, but marveaux looks pretty likely. Mata and Payet are up for grabs and would add a lot. If it were my choice I would say they are just what is needed and foregt thoughts of Aguero etc..}

- Blaise Matuidi (St Etienne) £8.5m
- Michael Owen (Man Utd) £0m
- Marko Marin (Werder Bremen) £16m
- Jose Enrique (Newcastle) £9m
- Gary Cahill (Bolton) £17.5m

EDS what do you think of this. As always I'm just the messenger. What is the likelyhood? {Ed001's Note - Young has one year left on his contract, no one is going to pay 20m+ like you have suggested.}

Hi all, Deals done are A. Mcgeady and R. Dunne. 10m and 5m respectively. C. Adams done deal regardless of Blackpools position at end of the season. Marveaux a free also. There will be some outgoings as we all can guess. Others being targeted are S. Given, G. Cahill, A Young/ S. Downing, K. Benzema. There will be hopefully most of these arriving in July. Dalglish has targeted these players for their BRITISH style( ie They are Big/ strong and competitive)or the width they will provide. I am aware of this as my friend is an agent and these are the names he has heard mentioned in the WHISPERINGS of the inner circle. He thinks most of these can be done at a reasonable price as most are not what he would call SUPER TARGETS! Mid-range dealings is the term he used. Dalglish is strong in his belief that these are the names he needs to push forward and that it is not necessary to go and spend stupid money and wages on every type of player you require to give your side the competitive edge and balance needed to compete with the top players! They must be hungry, talented and with a point to prove.

Just copied this from guilleme balague twitter, anybody understand what he means by this?? Would LFC like Aguero?Of course. 45m 2 pay (plus taxes if AtM don't negotiate).Likely?Not very.Will it happen?Will it rain same day nxt year?

Growler {Ed002's Note - It means he does not think Aguero will be going to Liverpool.} Or he has no idea (how long is a piece of string has the same meaning) lthough it seems pretty unlikely right now! (Top job Ed's aint posted since Jan Deadline day)

i can confirm liverpool are having a massive summer. J W Henry has said liverpool will win the league within the next 2 years. he said expect these top players to come in :
aguero
bale
young
marin
and a cb and lb but said he wouldn't give names for them two positions.

I know Henry said the first part about having a big summer and winning within 2 years. But where did he mention actual player names ?

Ed do u know of any interest in Marcus berg? Also I've heard from a reliable source that along with Adam, m'vila, sissoko, Wilson palacios is being discussed. Kevin prince boateng who is on loan to ac Milan from genoa is a target for comolli with a price of around £14m being considered. Thanks ed would love to hear your views {Ed002's Note - Nothing on Berg for months.}

Hi Ed, Do yo think Marin would be a good player in the prem, personally i think he would however i would be worried about him handling the physical side of the english game. Any news on a possible transfer to Ed?

i don't usually post anything on here , i just laugh at the crass that is written but i will let all the fans know something genuine , my friends son in law was in a liverpool restaurant the other night and john w henry was there openly chatting with fans in the lobby , when asked if we are spending big this summer, his answer was as big as anyone else if not more . then he was asked can our new players in the summer help us win the league , he said with the calibre of players we are tryin to sign and some players the ball is already in motion , he said we would expect to win the league at least within 2 seasons. . . this is absolute fact so don't listen to people that say we can't afford wages after all they pay the top dollar in boston. .

Some preople really need to get a grip & come back down to reality. If it's not Torres coming back to us for £20 million less than we sold him for after 6 months then it's Aguero coming for £40 million & £250,000 a week! ! The lunatics have well & truely been let out!

17 May 2011 18:59:27
I don't think we will be signing a right winger as we have Dirk Kuyt in this position as he never hardly gets injured. I been told that Young will defo be signing as he wants guarnteed football which he will get at us but unlikely at the mancs. will prob play left wing. I think the only left back in the prem that is worth signing is baines but i can, t see the blue noses selling to us. heard man city will pay upto £25 mill for him anyway(Ceefax, Gossip Page) that's far too much for him, looks like looking abroad for a left back then, what do you think ed on baines i heard you not bothered too much about Young.

17 May 2011 18:51:27
I work in Ipswich and know Paul Jewells personal assistant. I saw her today and she told me that Connor Wickham will not be leaving the town in the summer. Interest has been shown from Liverpool and Spurs but unless he plays a blinder in the upcoming tournament and Ipswich get offered silly money he should be staying for one more season.

Guillem Balague just confirmed on Revista that Liverpool, Utd and City are after Juan Mata, and that Valencia will sell for 25m euros. Get it done Damien! {Ed002's Note - You appreciate it is not as simple as just paying the fee?}

17 May 2011 18:41:06
It is looking more and more likely that Fernando Torres won't be a Chelsea player next season. The spaniard doesn't enjoy life in London and has got on the bad side of the senior Chelsea players because of the way Didier Drogba has been treated. Chelsea would be willing to accept a bid of around £25m.With only 1 goal in 19 games do you think he would be worth a bid from Liverpool ED?

{Ed002's Note - Fantastic, go for it.}

Rewflo {Ed002's Note - Just to be clear, neither Manchester United nor Chelsea could put a package together that matched his current deal. Furthermore, his agents are still in Turin and talking to Juventus - at least they were a couple of hours ago). Finally, you are not in Spain all this week (given it is Tuesday), you are in Blackburn according to your IP address.}

- - - - - - - -

Does it not seem strange that Chelsea and Manchester united cannot afford Aguero. .but juve have been talking?

{Ed002's Note - So you don't think his agents are in Turin? The point is that Manchester United and Chelsea are not going to be held to ransom.}

17 May 2011 18:27:14

Sergio Aguero's buy out clause is £45m.
So Liverpool won't be buying him.
Valencia want at least £25m for Mata

Source Guilliem Balague {Ed002's Note - €45M no £45M and it is nothing to do with a buyout clause that is unenforceable outside of Spain, it was what Atletico said they wanted for the player.}

Hi eds, has there actually been any real interest by lfc for jesus navas? Ive heard a few rumours but ive also heard that he suffers very badly with home-sickness. Ed do you think well sign benzema and what is your opinion of him {Ed002's Note - I am not the person to ask. We were informed by those who know those who know that Benzema was nailed on in January, completed in January and kept a secret, will be flying Neymar to Liverpool in his spaceship and many other things. Juve and Arsenal have shown an interest and I had always suggested to much ridicule that he would stay in Madrid. I think it unlikely you will see him at Anfield next season.}

Buzz in spain is it could well be Alonso. Real will listen to offers in summer, although no contact made from LFC yet.
To those who say he is old and past it, He is younger than Gerrard so by that same token you should want Gerrard sold because he is old. Just silly, Alonso is still quality and shows it every week

CM. . . . . . Lucas
CM/ AMC. . .Adam Blackpool £6.0 Million
LAM/ RAM. Young Aston Villa £14 Million
CF. . . . . . . Long Reading £7.5 Million

This will be Liverpool side for next season there will be no Major signing just improving the best 11, (with prem experiance) young wll swap with Kuyt and suarez and Carroll in a rotation. This will see them all get plenty of game time. Adam and Shelvey can play CM and AMC. Lucas and Spearing can come in for Parker if need be. Agger to be sold as he is injury prone and we can't build a team with someone who only plays 10-15 games. Players to be sold are Jones, Agger, kyriagos, aurelio, Cole, Jovanovic and N, gog.

Hi Ed quick question for ya. .Sorry if you have already answered this question a million times but This whole Friedel coming back baffles me as he is about 38-40 which goes against everything FSG and he would never even come close to Reina in abilities so could not fight for his spot, so i was wondering is he a free agent in the summer or is he retiring so we are offering him a academy training role as they seem the only options i could see him ever coming back for. . Cheers {Ed002's Note - I guess there may be future plans for him to take a coaching role or to scout goalkeepers. I really don't know why it appears to be on teh cards. Otherwise it is simply short-term cover only.}

Firstly rumours, can see Torres moving on not enjoying time at Chelsea, I for one would have the Torres of old back , but he would need to build bridges.

I have heard rumours from a friend at a City of London Bank, that the Aguero rumour to Liverpool has some legs talks are planned in the next 10 days.

As for the other rumours being posted most are just daft, or repeats of the papers.

Anyone who thinks british players are better value , dream on, you pay double for less talent, the latest rubbish Taarabt for £9m.

Watched Derby v QPR last week, Savage who is way passed his best had him in his pocket, simply just not good enough. Same as all these rumours regarding players from relegation treatened teams, wake up, if they are so good why are the teams being relegated.

i was just wondering whats happening with aquilani now that the deadline has passed with juve {Ed002's Note - Nothing more than has been said before. Liverpool will now try and offload him to someone else and Juve will still try and get the best deal they can.}

All the talk of the likes of Aguero, Hazard, Mata etc are well off the mark. The three of them alone would cost 100m+ with wages to match.

Expect an English influx of Cahill, Downing/ Young, Warnock and Jarvis, with the likes of McArthy/ Adam also. All of which will improve our premiership standing.

An import may also happen, but we won't compete with silly money. Someone to play off the shoulder of the last defender will come in. Possibly Sturridge.

Hi Ed,
Has anything new come to light over the today and yesterday?
Are we still in discussions over M.Sissoko.
Is there any interest in jan Vertonghen?

Thanks,

Would anyone fancy seeing de rossi at liverpool next year?

I have read he has fallen out with quite a few people at roma and contract talks have stalled. Haven't roma just been taken over by a friend or business partner of john henry?

Could try and do something on the sly and get him over to england.

Ngog to go back to PSG? I hardly think so. . they want a good striker. Good I said. ;) And unfortunately I don't believe Hazard will leave, and anyway he is keen on Arsenal (Don't really know why. .) YNWA

I wouldn't want Torres back since he has left we have been playing so much better, £50m was a really good bit of business for a player who hasn't been at his best for over 2 seasons now, Let's all move on to a new Liverpool era Suarez is playing so much better and once we have a few wingers and a left back we will be a totally different side im sure. Have just been told a rumour from a fairly reliable source. To say I am a bit shocked is an understatement. Okay the rumour. Leighton Baines LWB and (God forbid) Joey Barton as LM/ LW. Apparently it's Dalglish and Gerrard who want Barton. £15M for Baines, £5M for Barton. Baines to be done very early in the window. Now Baines I can understand - he's fairly solid player, but Barton? Can you imagine a night out with him and Carroll? Apparently one of Dalglish's concerns is the lack of 'steel' in the side and their inability to physically impose themselves on other teams at times. In addition they both have links to the club from when they were youth players and this apparently is also something in their favour.

I just hope my source is wrong concerning Barton. Not bothered either way with regards to Baines. But Barton with Carroll? Asking for a riot.

Number 9s have returned to the club - Rush and Fowler ?
Rush sell to Juventus for £3.5m and he returns a year later for £2.8m. Fowler leaves for £11m and returns for a nominal fee. Neither made poor remarks about the club like the Spaniard, but who knows.

Not sure wherre this one originated but i've heard from a couple of the lads that maybe, just maybe, our former no.9 may be making his way back up here. Apparantly life in London isn't what he or his wife were expecting it to be and he misses the club and the fans. Bit of a u-turn, given his attitude in January. I personally can't see this happening as I'm sure KK, Clarke and Comolli have already earmarked the players that they want to bring in, but, as the saying goes, stranger things have happened. Has anyone else heard this? I'd be interested to know. What do you think, ed? {Ed002's Note - I think it is unlikely to be honest.}

17 May 2011 14:29:35
Sorry to post another thing about Aguero but does everybody else know we could of signed him when he was 17 / 18 when he left Independiente for Atletico ? I believe we offered about £5 million whereas i think Atletico signed him for £12 million.

I've also heard that 25 million euros would be enough to sign Mata, unsure of the reliability though but that fee could be paid with all the transfers out. What do you think Ed's ?

JP {Ed002's Note - I understand that that is the sort of fee Valencia are expecting; but obviously there is interest from elsewhere. Although there is interest from Liverpool and it would not be entirely out of the question that the club could move for the player, I suspect he may end up elsewhere with interest being shown by Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and I suspect Barcelona will become interested at some point. If Barcelona do show their hand I expect he could move there, if not Chelsea may be heading the queue. So a chance for Liverpool.}

Joe Cole has been asked if he wants to leave and he has said no he wants to stay and have a fair crack of the whip he knows he is not going to start every game next season but sees the carling cup and possiblely europa league (if results go our way) as a spring board to more first team football if he is still not playing come January he will leave. Liverpool hope an offer comes in for him in the summer that will turn his head that's all I know and please can we all stop with the aguero rumors we have had it every transfer window for the past 3 years on hear if he comes then it will be amazing and I will run around anfeild naked for 90 mins during a match

Just wanted to share some news - I have been told that Alberto Aquilani's destination next season may not be the one everybody expects.

Liverpool are aware of an interest in the player from Napoli and old club Roma.

I expect Napoli may view the Italian international as good business around the 13 million euro mark, whilst Roma may also seek a cut price or exchange deal for Alberto, particularly as DC is a confirmed admirer of wantaway midfielder Jeremy Menez.

Guillem Balague Of SSN Spain has said that Real Madrid , Man City and Liverpool are interested in Kun Aguero ! Check his twitter if you want so those peeps saying we are not interested n Aguero can go plant some roses in my garden {Ed001's Note - nobody has said we are not interested, merely that his wages are too high and he would need to take a pay cut, which is extremely unlikely.}

Did Atletico hold talks with Real yesterday, Or was it another club he held talks with, Will Chelsea Try for him again ed001? {Ed001's Note - I expect Chelsea to return for him, but it is likely that Aguero is actually looking for the Real Madrid move to be perfectly honest. The only way Atletico would accept a bid from them would be if Aguero asks to leave, then the fans won't turn on the team. Real Madrid are the only ones who would give him the wages he wants

Oh right another player that well ruin his career at madrid, That will mean the end for Benzeama or Higuan won't it then ED if he does make the move.

KOP89 {Ed001's Note - Benzema was always going to leave, Higuain is first choice and two other strikers were going to be joining anyway. Looks like the two are Aguero and probably Llorente.}

Ed, is there any interest in Miroslav Klose? He is on a free and would be a fantastic back up striker. If they keep their promise and sign wide players, he would thrive on the service and become a success. Okay, he is on the wrong side of 30, at 32, but for two years he can provide experience and help the younger talent come through the ranks. He would become a cult hero figure. I am all for him signing and urge KK and DC to make the move. {Ed002's Note - I think it would be value for money if he were to be used regularly, but at 32 with high wages and what I imagine will be a significant signing on fee adding perhaps £25k-£30k a week to his wages the numbers do not add up for me.}

If you had read his Previous Tweet you would see that Liverpool along with R.M. and Man City are interested, Its likely he will end up at Real, but for the club to interested in such a high profile, young talent says an awful lot about the direction our club is going in. Roll on Next Season.

"For the last time we won't sign Aguero, his agent was at Anfield to have contract talks over Maxi (who he also represents), Liverpool want him on lower wages and so will offer him an extra years contract. Pretty sure the ed's would have already said this anyway. Theres more chance of us signing Diouf"

Not saying we will get Aguero at all. But Aguero's agent is Bruno Satin and Maxi's is Jurgen Milewski. . so what you said is not exactly true. Still don't think we'll get Aguero. I've seen that the club may have been allowed to talk to Eden Hazard himself. . and also a bid in the region of 10-11 million has been made for Blaise Matuidi, after the first bid of around 2-3 million was called disgusting by SE's manager (what do you think ed?)

Thanks for the feedback ed.

I'd love to see the king and comoli pull off juan mata, xabi alonso and coaentrao this summer. i feel that would give us the strength and back up we need in key positions. I've seen that Alonso has been linked with a move back to Anfield and think it would be the best signing possible for the club. Losing his abillity to keep the game flowing was the worst bit of business done by liverpool as far as im concerned! just wondering if he is actually available and if you think kk will be in for him if he is.

I'd also love to see pacheco get some game time next season, aswell as Suso who really looks the part. Quick feet, outstanding passing, short or long range. and an eye for goal. what do u think the chances are of they getting more game time under kenny, now that hes shown faith in flanno, robinson and jay? and on the alonso rumour? thanks ed. .
welshscouse {Ed002's Note - There is a chance of Mata as we know. Valencia may be preparing for life after Mata by lining up Elia as a replacement. Although there is some interest from Liverpool and it would not be entirely out of the question that the club could buy the player, I suspect he may end up elsewhere with interest being shown by Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and I suspect Barcelona will become interested at some point. If Barcelona do show their hand I expect he could move there, if not Chelsea are heading the queue. I am by no means sure that Alonso is a target for the club. Interest in Coentrao has been shown by Manchester United, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, AC Milan (Waning). Benfica have been in discussions with Real Madrid for a couple of weeks. Liverpool are not in the loop at all. Barcelona may be just beginning to get interested. Real are favourites for me at this time.}

Joe Cole is leaving he wants first team football, he will return to LONDON in the close season to sort out his options, Fulham and Rangers are his likely choises, if he cannot get a move to either of these clubs expect a shock move to Glasgow Rangers, he will at least get champions league games with them.

If aguero moves he will not stay in spain as some suggest. Madrid are interested but mourinho isn't, and he pulls the strings at madrid these days. I haven't seen or heard enough from either liverpool or aguero and his agents to suggest he is coming here and still expect his detination to be chelsea working alongside torres and under benitez who I'm told chelsea are chasing.

Great site ed, no rumours to post as i don't claim to know sammy lee or mow KK lawn. just wondering if you have any news on some players, e.g matias de federico? the young argentine dubbed the next messi seems to have gone off the boil a bit. also some top midfielders that i havent been hearing much rumours about. gourcuff, hamsik, and pastore now that palermo seemed to have fluffed their season!

onto liverpool targets, i think marin should be top of DC and KK's wishlist as he is lightening, goes past people and will guarentee a quality final ball which carroll will thrive from. i'd also love to see coaentrao come in as lift back, he would give us the option that bale gives spurs.

first post so go easy on me lol.
thoughts please ed, thanks welshscouse. {Ed002's Note - Defederico is an interesting one. He is out on loan until December so it will not be moving this summer. But things have gone quiet with him. Pastore may well be moving this summer - it seems to be on/off week-by-week. Palermo is a difficult club to deal with (to say the least) and money is not something they are short of. They crave success and I would not be surprised to see him stay another season. Juventus have been knocked back with their standard offer of €20m in cash plus Raffaelle Palladino, Amauri and Sebastian Giovinco in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. Chelsea are looking for a long-term replacement for Lampard and Manchester United are looking for a long-term replacement for Scholes. He is certainly not top of Chelsea's transfer list but they will keep a watching brief. The rejected bid that was publicised was certainly from Manchester City. Liverpool had shown an interest before Christmas but will struggle with the price - which if he is sold is likely to be the highest of the summer. The fee will be in the region of £50M or a part ownership deal may well be negotiated. If I had to suggest a destination Barcelona, one of the Milanese clubs or an outside chance of Chelsea.}

I GUARANTEE Aguero is not coming. I have friends in Spain as I used to live there and everyone there is assuring me that Aguero might move from Athletico but there is no chance that he will leave the country of Spain!
From all the articles that I have read, at this point, the only move that seems likely is Ashley Young. As Steve McMahon pointed out recently on ESPN, this is a great thing because Young would fit in very well in the Liverpool squad. Apart from Young, I also see a half-back coming in. Enrqiue seems like he wants to stay in Newcastle and Cissokho will probably stay in France. Insua will probably return but still a new defender should be signed.
In addition, a lot of young players are on Liverpool's radar. Conor Wickham from Ipswich, Phil Jones from Blackburn Rovers, and Phillipe Coutinho from Inter.
Finally, it seems like David N'Gog, Daniel Ayala, Sotrios Kyrgiakos, Milan Jovanovic and Christian Poulsen are on their way out for sure.
A formidable starting 11:
GK- Reina, RB- Johnson, CB- Carragher, CB- Agger, LB- Kelly, DM- Lucas, AM- Gerrard, RM- Meireles, LM- Young, ST- Carroll, ST- Suarez
Bench:
GK- Jones, CB- Skrtel, LB- Insua, RM- Kuyt, AM- Coutinho, RM- Rodriguez, CM- Spearing

100% true this one- We, via DC, have enquired about Sampdoria's Jonathan Biabiany, who DC knows from his days in France- playing for the u21's. The player only joined Samp in January but after they were relegated they are facing the prospect of several of their stars moving on. A bid of about £5-8m (involving add-ons) should be enough to capture the talented, but inconsistent, winger. DC thinks we have the set up to bring the best of out him and has spoken to his agent and Samp.

How do I know this? My friend did work experience for Davide Bega, who is the players agent and still gets snippets of good info from the offices.

Watch this space and remember this info when the deal/ rumour goes public.

Posted a couple of weeks back. Cab confirm that Liverpool have definitely made enquiries about Werder Bremens Naldo, mainly around his fitness level and likelihood of injury recurrence. My friend has just written a report on it! She has produced a similar document for Marko Marin also. Could either of these be the Bundesliga signings?

Sky Bet have slashed the odds of Ashley Young coming to liverpool to 2/5 could this really meen that liverpool are going to land him?? What do you think ed? {Ed002's Note - Betting odds may give a vague guide as to where a player will move to but they give a more concise guide as to where money is being placed for a move. However, it remains likely that Youndg will move to Liverpool or possibly Manchester United. There is nothing new in this.}

LFC have submitted a second bid to A.S.S.E for Blaise Matuidi, 10m including add-ons. This is likely to be accepted. {Ed002's Note - Whilst there is definately interest in the St-Et players I am not so sure we have got as far as any formal bids being made. At the price being sugegsted I would expect St-Etienne to hold on until the transfer window open in six weeks time to see what other offers are made by the likes of Roma, Newcastle and Napoli.}

Liverpool target won't be a top notch striker. They would look for 2 wingers and a left back. Hope Ashley Young wouldnot be signed. I think he is overrated. What are the chances of signing Honda ed? His name seems to have lost. G-wan Nepalese Lfc. {Ed002's Note - I was surprised Honda was not followed up in January when he was available. Chances will be less during teh Russian mid season, but you never know.}

Liverpool will complete the signing of a player from the Bundesliga in the next 2-3 weeks. Might not be announced until then but all I know is that he is definatly in the Bundesliga.

Moley.

Aguero has already stated many times he intends to fulfill his contract with them until 2014, so stop all these Aguero rumours. SingRed

For the last time we won't sign Aguero, his agent was at Anfield to have contract talks over Maxi (who he also represents), Liverpool want him on lower wages and so will offer him an extra years contract. Pretty sure the ed's would have already said this anyway. Theres more chance of us signing Diouf :

Liverpool are joint favourites with chelsea to sign Aguero at 5/ 1, would be nice if we got him.
