Hey ed have you heard anything on the signings of youngsters? I know that we have been in talks with Ipswich regarding Wickham and we signed that young lad Ryan McLaughlin, also heard that we were after a young kid from Ajax, Krishna or something? have you heard of anyone else? {Ed002's Note - No, it is pretty quiet on that front. Wickham has signed a contract extension though.}

Not posted on here for some time, but just had to share this with you all. I was with a former player earlier, watching the Arsenal game. He's normally tight lipped on matters Liverpool, but he kept mentioning how exciting next season will be. When I pressed him for more info, he said that Kenny is VERY close to agreeing a deal and that an announcement will be made shortly. Agreeing that this was great news, I pointed out that he would still have a big job on his hands, to which he replied "not of he gets who he wants" he then went on to mention Sanchez, Coentrao, Sakho and Mata. Feeling quite excited by this point, I asked which one we are looking at? "All of them" was his response! I really hope he is right with this, and not just pulling my leg.

Hamburg have stated that if Liverpool come in with a realistic offer for Elia, then he's our man. It's been reported they are looking for around £13m. I think he would be a perfect and one of the cheapest prices we are going to find for someone with that pace and quality on the wings. I hope the deal goes through! Any thoughts ED? {Ed001's Note - we did bid for him in January, it is likely we will try and complete a move for him in the summer.}

Kenny Dalglish has already started planning for the summer with Kenny & Commolli already looking at targets. KK knows he has a good basis of a team but looking to replace all the dead wood with fresh talent. Expect most of these to go:

With all these sales freeing up wages and adding money to whatever budget Kenny already has. John W. Henry wants success this season with at least a top four finish and a cup. Funds will be supplied to fulfill this. Kenny has targeted these players:

Spurs, Sunderland and Aston Villa are believed to be admirers of the striker. With this squad KK, Comolli and Henry all agree that this is a team capable of winning the title.

My dad is currently in Italy on holiday, and is a great admirer of Alberto Aquilani, and texted me before saying bad news, Aquilani considers Juve stay or City move. . I don't see my dad to lie about the news as ofcourse he likes the style of aquilani, and wanted him to do well last season, what are the chances of this happening ed? and how much cash do you think we'll get? also, if there was swap/ cash for juve and city which players would you take and what cash lumsum?

I have been informed a "big bid" will be offered to Athletic Bilbao for 17 year old Spanish striker Muniain. This isn't the first time ive posted this, please keep a close eye on this one, could be alot of truth in this. Have you seen him play Ed's? If so do you think he would be a good long term aquisition for the club?

I can confirm that the reported targets are not the real targets for liverpool. kk and dm will use these rumours to there advantage to try and sign there main targets. how ever two target which has been reported they are aiming for is man citys adam johnston and boltons gary cahill.

One thing though. As you do the majority of the time tell us readers who we have no chance of getting (which is great as some readers do need a touch of reality), could you give us your latest information-based opinion on who you think will end up at LFC in the summer? Any big names possibly iyo?

There is certainly interest in Defour and there are certainly other midfield options out there (Sissoko, M'Vila et al). Like many clubs Liverpool are out there pushing to get some business concluded for the start of the transfer window and I am sure there will be some decent players coming in. There is a come and get me plea from Payet to pretty much anyone who will listen and perhaps Liverpool should be looking closely - obviously Comolli knows the player well already.}

Ed, Poulsen and spearing, surely both will be off this summer as both are not good enough and with lucas getting a new deal and another cm coming in theres no room for both? {Ed002's Note - I would certainly expect Poulsen to leave - possibly being released from his contract.}

Ed, Is the charlie adam deal basically all done and dusted, are man u or spurs going to make a bid because in my opinion he adds very little to the squad and Id rather have m'villa or defour brought in. Ed, also are we watching m'villa and defour closely enough to make bids for them?

We have been making enuires about nicolas gaitain , coentrao can't see him coming to us unless meireles is good mates with him cos jist seems more likely he go madrid with pepe , carv , roni , mourinho etc. And xonsidering his price tag as an attacking full back he doesn't seem to score many goals or get many assists.

Excellent. A terrific young player who has the makings of a great winger/ wingback.
I don't see his £22m-£25m fee being a problem at all. Plus he'd be keen on the move, having said so himself.
Should we decide to move in for him, I'm 100% certain he'd be all ours.
Ed, a few questions.
1.) How serious were/ are the talks? You expect a bid to be lodged soon?
2.) Other than Coentrao, who else could we possibly be interested in from Benfica?
3.) What's the situation with Moussa Sissoko, Yann M'Vila and Sakho? Any talks on-going there?
4.) Are LFC likely to make a return for Benzema should he be available? Would he be likely?
5.) Lastly, when can we expect a final decision as regards the stadium issue?

There may well have been interest in another Benfica player as Ed001 suggested. It remains most unlikely that Coentrao will be moving to Liverpool. Fiorentina, Espanyol and Genoa are also showing an interest in Moussa Sissoko and both M'Vila & Sakho seems to be attracting the interest of Arsenal as well as Liverpool. All are viable options for Liverpool. Benzema may well be an option but not, currently, a nailed on or close deal. I remain skeptical. The whole stadium issue will become clear as soon as Planning Permission is submitted, and then all of the plans will be in the public domain.}

Nugget {Ed001's Note - we are defo interested in someone from Benfica and have defo spoken to them about that someone. Coentrao is the one it is believed to be, but obviously it is conjecture and opinion that it is that person. I would expect a price in the region of 25m myself.}
