Eds - is there still interest in Marcos Rojo - you seemed to think he was high on the list in the the spring.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - It appears to have moved on.}

Shame as I think this lad could go on to be world class. I rate him better than moreno from what iv seen.

Hi eds. Yet again the rumour mill is at full steam.
Reading a lot of rumours today about Micah Richards for 7M
Think this would be a great signing.

It really wouldn't be a great signing.

Agree2 Disagree5

Classic BR player if he could get him playing without the attitude. Prefer him to caulker for same money if he wants to play and would take wage cut

Agree1 Disagree1

Not a chance this happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Opinions, I think the guy would do a job better than we have £7 million what's the prob

Sly sports are reporting that we have bid for dele alli of mk dons. Do you know if this is true?

Believable36 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - There is certainly interest and a bid is not unexpected.}

He looks a decent unit Ed. One for the academy would think?

Reports earlier this week claimed that Juventus were in the driving seat after coach Antonio Conte held transfer talks with the Chilean.

However, Liverpool will surge back into contention after Brendan Rodgers gave the green light for Liverpool to dwarf their previous £18m bid to lure Sanchez to Anfield with a mammoth bid of £27 million to get the Chilean star.

Believable27 Unbelievable113

He'll be worth the 27 million. We should really go all out to get him. Imagine a front three of suarez sturridge and sanchez with sterling couthinio and lambert as alternatives. We'll have the best attack in the league

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt after his past failures in the market, BR would have that kind of clout.

CHELSEA and Liverpool could go head-to-head this summer to land Ukraine winger Andriy Yarmolenko for a cut price fee of £15 million.

Believable5 Unbelievable46

{Ed002's Note - Right now I would say someone is teasing you about Liverpool interest in Yarmolenko at this time. They made a tentative enquiry a year ago.}

16 Jun 2014 15:20:27
Estadio Deportivo reporting that LFC will turn their attentions to Daley Blind after giving up on Alberto Moreno.
Any truth? Would seem like the Moreno deal is off, at least for a while as Sevilla are constantly leaking stories to the Spanish press to try and get a bidding war going, not working though.

Believable7 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - A year or two back Liverpool took a look at Daley Blind but did not follow up. There was interest from Hannover 96 in January and Hamburg both in January and again recently. Chelsea spoke with Ajax about the player as an option for their left back problem and his agent would like to talk to Manchester United - but they have not made any approach yet.}

Hello Eds, do Liverpool hold any interest in Nico Gaitan of Benfica?

I remember Ed002(I think) saying something along the lines of "he may be an option but no confirmed interest" but that was earlier in the year. Could this still be the case or has there been a change in circumstances?

Cheers.

Believable1 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - My understanding is that Manchester United and PSG did speak with Benfica about Gaitan in January 2013 but no bid was made as the asking price was seen to be far too high. Interest from Bayer Leverkusen, Spurs and Arsenal will have waned by now. I understand that Benfica also had an approach from Anzhi for Gaitan but the player made it clear he has not any interest in talking to them. I understand that the interest was still there from Manchester United and PSG in January, but not at the price being asked. Zenit has enquired. He might well sign a new contract at Benfica. There has been no interest from Liverpool.}

I heard a rumour that there is interest from Real Madrid for young Raheem Sterling due to his brilliant season and performances for England, not forgetting his youth. Surely this can't be true? There's no way BR would let our brightest young talent go.

Just heard we are after Candreva. Any truth in this Eds because he is a beast of a player and torment Baines the whole match.

Believable10 Unbelievable34

{Ed002's Note - I thought it was Thorgan Hazard Liverpool wanted? No wait, Adam Lallana. Or was it Shaqiri? How stupid, I forgot Max Meyer. Damn, what about Markovic? Of course, Firmino.}

16 Jun 2014 13:37:40
Ed, they're obviously all smoke screens for a glorious Shelvey return.

Agree6 Disagree2

There is plenty of bad rumours floating about and were linked with someone new every day. However IMO that Shaqiri seems the most realistic and probable out of them all.

He didn't have the best of games yesterday however.

Agree1 Disagree0

Shaqiri won't be an LFC player guaranteed

Morning Eds

I take it the Candreva rumours aren't true. Just used the search function and found out that you expected him to move to Napoli, this was back at the beginning of April has anything changed since then? Do you know of any interest from us?

Believable5 Unbelievable18

{Ed002's Note - I thought Liverpool had already brought Thorgan Hazard, Shaqiri, Markovic, Meyer, Lallana and Firmino to play the same role?}

16 Jun 2014 23:22:17
Ryan Bertrand. Top draw LB shone at Villa. 6th CL cup here we come.

Ricardo Rodríguez (LB) played key role in Switzerland 2-1 win with two assists. Any likelihood that he could be considered an alternative for Alberto Moreno?

Moreno switch appears likely to fall through due to several issues. Rodríguez had a good season in Bundesliga with Wolfsburg 9 assists and 6 goals, also takes a mean penalty.

Would also be a cheaper option for the Redmen

Believable10 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Rodriguez looks like he is heading elsewhere right now. Liverpool has shown no interest.}

I heard he was a target for man u, but i'm guessing that is if chelsea pinch shaw.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - I think both are looking elsewhere, rather than at Shaw, at the moment. At least until Southampton sort out their managerial situation.}

Reports out of Italy suggest that Napoli have reopened talks with Liverpool to sign Pepe Reina on a permanent basis.

Have you heard anything?

Believable7 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - No, but given what has happened with St Etienne's goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier it would not be a surprise.}

I've been told the only way he will go is on free transfer.

Apparently it will be the only way Napoli could afford to pay his wages.

It would get a considerable amount off the wage bill. But surely we won't entertain it!

Eds are we still interested in lallana or have we dropped our initial interset haven't heard or seen owt in while. when soton finally appoint a new manager do you think we might have 1 more crack at trying to sign him would like for this to be cleared up I don't no what to believe anymore so many different reports

Believable5 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - still interested but unable to meet the asking price.}

Unwilling more likely

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I suppose it is a bit of both, but we simply aren't able to.}

Norton, I would assume it's more unable rather than unwilling. As it has been said many times, Liverpool are making a significant loss each year. No doubt the added revenue from league position and champions league money will help, but we need to sustain that. Otherwise we could very well be in trouble again.
