Loads of stuff on twitter saying Turkish tv have said that Sahin loan deal with buy on at the end?! Didn't really believe the Sahin rumours at first but that seems more substantial! good deal if it happens?

Yepp and it has been mentioned on the guardian, the mirror and many other websites

Its true 100% tomz he will be a liverpool player

Oh yeah, cos everything on twitter is true isn't it

I get that he's turkish but why would they have news of all this before spanish or English tv? Just seems odd

Yes exactly what I thought

15 Aug 2012 21:29:46
sahin and tello will be liverpool players by weekend loan deals till next year

Not sure about tello he says he's staying but it looks like sahin has agreed a loan deal

15 Aug 2012 21:07:51
Ed if we sign Sahin and tello do you think we have a chance keeping them on a permanent deal next summer? It worries me that if thy are successful they will leave a big hole in our team when they leave.

Cheers dave {Ed002's Note - I would not overplay the influence that either may have.}

Errrrrrm if they over peform we will be back in the champions league and able to attract better.

GET REAL !

Let's wait and see if we actually get them, and then see how they actually do, before worrying about the hole they might leave if they go back to their parent clubs.

What kind of replay is that?

According to turkish press sahin has
lfclee

Answer the question eds {Ed019's Note - Watcha gonna do?}

Why not overplay the influence? sahin is an amazing player, could make a real difference this year to lfc

I like it ED019 is taking no prisoners.
Andrew

If they are all that good and we get into the champions league then maybe better players will start arriving at anfield

Why would eds answer a ridiculous question? They are not even at Liverpool yet so why specaulate on what would happen if they turned out to be amazing and what our chances are would be of signing them permanent. One thing at a time- get the players in. See how they perform, see how theyclub Performs.. Honestly it astonishes me....

Ed2 mate do you think premier league will impose their own FFP rule as John W Henry has sayed they have requested for it

Red kop {Ed002's Note - No, it won't happen.}

Yep mate he even sayed their will be meeting next month or so and 14 clubs need to vote for FFP in order to force clubs who have big losses and even criticised manchester city and chelsea who run their club with major lose and still spend huge fees. Will be interesting to see who will support our owners in meeting. Just hope it helps mate

Something needs to be done about clubs like chelsea and city who are ruining football with their spending and plastic fans.

Most Chelsea fans only started supporting them after abramovic bought them

Hi Eds,
Are we in for Kevin Mirallas or is he off to everton? 8 million for someone who scored 20 goals for olympiacos sounds like a bargain.Even cisse didnt score that many when playing in greece. {Ed052's Note - Nah}

Shame i saw him play live against england for Belgium and he was there best player

Has he played for BR before ? if not i would think it unlikely.

t/y sammy j

I saw a fair bit of the guy he has talent, but first team oppertunities would make everton fav

Mirallas is mediocre

Gone to everton

Cisse scored more

I think you'd be surprised who was topping the Greek goal scoring tables last seaso with 15 from 17 games, untill he picked up abad injury?
RNred

Mirallas mediocre ? Is that because you're not gettin' him ? If he was coming to you he'd be the 'Belgian Ronaldo'.!

hello fellow reds, just heard that luis ibanez is wanted by lfc, he is argentine left back who plays for zagreb, not sure how good is he? Maybe eds know? News is coming from croatian repporter 30 min ago...

Hi,

I highly doubt this. If it is true, then LFC should change do much to improve scout services.

Nah, i live here, good but not LFC caliber, too weak in defence

From what I put forward yesterday evening, I can confirm that Reading are in talks with Liverpool as they enquire about the availability of Jay Spearing - Liverpool would be willing to sell the midfielder for a fee around £6million, however Reading value the player at no more than £3.5million

Also, Sahin as we speak is being persuaded to join Liverpool over Arsenal on season long loan. Although Tello is downbeat about moving to England, if the move does not pull through my sources tell me that Liverpool will make a £27million bid for Iker Munian and Susaeta.

Don't expect to see Gaston Ramirez a liverpool player this season, with City and Spurs battling for his signiture.

Rodgers feels going for Gaston Ramirez would only spark a bidding war and liverpool to get the player will have to offer excessive wages - in stead he intends to sell Carroll for £17million.

Of which (add extra spending) he will attempt to get, Munian, Susaeta, Dempsey and Izzaguire.

JAV-RED

That doesnt make sense! We are trying to sign tello on loan and the back Up option would be to sign 2 players for nearly £30m? Surely it would be the other way round. You dont spend £27m or whatever on a contingency plan if ur first option is free....

Spearing for 6m?? Get real. The club has more sense than that. He's not even worth the 3.5m that you stated Reading value you him at. Let's try to forget your mention of a bid for Muniain AND Susaeta as well. {Ed052's Note -

Your sources are insane then Jav! You're taking money we haven't got [ even if we sold a couple of players ] for signings that would cost a fortune never mind their wages!

The Plank

No way do we value Spearing at £6 million. We will take £1 million for him.

No way is Shelvey going to be sold

I love people who pretend they are in the know

Absoloute rubbish imo

Can't see it happening JAV, to start £6 million for Spearing is crazy, and as the first reply says, it makes little sense, why would we get a player on loan with a back up plan of spending 27 million, on 2 players? I agree with the Ramirez paragraph, but the last paragraph has left me puzzled.

JFT96 COYR

If we valued Spearing at £1m it would cause the biggest bidding frenzy ever. He might not be Liverpool standard, but would be a quality addition to any c'ship club. Your not Rafa are you?

This mug is having a laugh right now. You're sources are miles away from the truth, yanunce.

-yodaMASTER

I love the Ramirez won't be joining so instead BR will sell Carroll. Love that :)

Dublad

Recycling iker munian talk agen. When will you ppl learn? There is a distinct smell of bullsh#t in the air when reading this dribble

Jon the Red

Shelvey? who mentioned shelvey? are you all there?

What a silly post and complete waste of time

GET REAL

Like every rumour, only time will tell, I just wish we don't panic if by the 30th we haven't got targets, newcastle try and get andy on the cheap and we over spend on dempsey and wallcott or adam johnson

6 million for Spearing, I would give you six quid. He passes more to the opposition than to a red shirt!

Your sources?ya belter

Armando ? Is that you .....?

Now I know youre lying. What kind of club values jay spearing at 6m? What a joke!

I like how everybody mentioned spearing as unrealistic yet nobody thought 27m for two players when just one of those is valued at 40 million euros by Bilbao

Nevada

If we can get £3.5m for spearing then take it. with lucas, allen, gerrard, sahin, henderson and shelvey we'd have 6 players fighting for three spots.

That 3.5m along with Adam could buy us Dempsey who can play in the middle as well as a forward.

and if we are interested in Walcott then it means that we want a good player upfront that would be bought with the sale of Carroll (£17m - £18m)

6 million for spearing, this is comedy gold. Every line made made me crease up. Thank you.

Sahin loan deal completed. Will be announced before weekend.
Hope that doesn't mean we have to be thankful to Mourinho

Come on the Redmen

We will see how he does/if we get him before we thank him plus loaning there youngster is us doing them a favour

Been told it may be announce tomorrow evening. i hope so

What is wrong with Jose the guy is class?

You have to thank him really ! its known that hes a liverpool fan, he said it when he was in Porto. He wants the best for us.

15 Aug 2012 18:36:18
I'm hearing the Tello deal is still on, but it could be a loan as opposed to a permanent deal. Could be done next week. Dempsey will sign once Adam leaves, will be done soon. Sahin will be announced in the next 24 hours. De Vries will sign once Doni/Jones move on. Agger will stay, and we could yet see Carroll stay.
Irishdom15

The Tello deal is off, he doesn't want to play outside of Spain

I have it on good authority from me lad that we are nowhere near signing nuri sahin add others think we are. Though it does look promising, we are not quite there yet.

-yodaMASTER

So are we nowhere near or not quite there yet?

Ozone

We should be near there's only two weeks left!

Have heard deal is as good as done loan for 1 season

Sahin has agreed terms signed by the weekend...heard it hear first {Ed052's Note -

So we are nowhere near signing Nuri Sahin? But it looks promising?

Allow me to clarify, lads. We are close, but not as close as other media sources are reporting.

-yodaMASTER

From me lad? Have I missed something?

MarkB

Eds any chance of translating this post to english please {Ed052's Note - Which one, the one from my good friend yoda? He says that Sahin will sign shortly. But it aint quite done yet.}

Pointless post. We know it looks promising and we know he hasn't signed.

Swish

15 Aug 2012 18:20:42
Eds how likely do you think it is that we will sign a winger in this transfer interest with supposed interest in Walcott and it looks likely that the tello deal won't happen due to the fact the lad doesn't want to leave Spain
Redalex

{Ed006's Note - Well we have interest in Tello and Walcott so interest in Wingers is evident.}

But not out and out wingers, Tello is more of a Wide Forward (similar position to Maxi but with A lot more pace and directness with the ball) and Walcott thinks of himself as a Striker.

15 Aug 2012 18:19:56
Rodgers has made a last ditch effort to snatch Kevin Mirallas from under the noses of our dear blue friends from across the park and he's made no secret of his desire to play for the mighty Reds . Reliable as it gets. Trust

DERRR! that was arsenal! but alas! he signing for the Mighty Blues! mis the boat again!..............nsno

Haven't heard a whisper of any Mirallas highjacking so what's your reliable source?

The Plank

Hmm, I wonder why you call yourself The Plank ? Could it be that you're a plank ?

Has it crossed your mind that it might be a toffee rubbing your nose in it, plank ?

This smells like bull to me
rubbishman

15 Aug 2012 18:17:25
With modric joining real Madrid does that make the sahin deal any closer to happening?

{Ed006's Note - It is very close.}

Are we most likely to get Sahin on Loan or perm? Or loan with option to buy?
Just curiouis!

15 Aug 2012 18:07:51
Sahin has signed on loan!

No he hasn't

He hasn't even arrived for a medical yet?

Haw do u no he as signed

Thanks to Xabi apparently.

And what a CRACKING signing it is too. We can now move Adam on, knowing we have a much better player for the position. Love what Bren is doing!

I shure as sit hope so!!

Why have you said that mate.. Strange behaviour if you ask me

No he hasn't.

What's your source? I can't find anything on the web mate

Where did you here that?

Is what I would say when he does sign.
Dani

The Times are reporting that it's a done deal being announced either tonight or tomorrow..Also a turkish journalist working for a turkish tv station who has been at their training camp today tweeted that it's a done deal..But I won't celebrate until it's announced on LFC.com. Cheers, Scouserseb

Now then scouserseb, nothing on the times website but it is on hitc website. I think he will be a great player for us if we do get him though. Just not done yet, can't wait for the season to start. YNWA!

Hope this is true he will make a big difference

Big jeff

Oliver Kay tweeted it before! Sorry about that mate, but he is working for The Times, and they are reliable most of the time! Cheers, Scouserseb

{Ed002's Note - For those Liverpool fans interested in young boys, you are invited to hand out at the new kiddie football site: www.youth-football.net }

Ed002. There must have been a better way of phrasing what you've said here!

The Plank

'interested in young boys' hhmmm, maybe that needs re-wording eds! {Ed052's Note - You know what Ed002 means!!}

That sounds really dodgy!

You might want to rephrase that.

Please phrase this better

Ha ha edoo2

You might see wenger on the site lol

Red raj

That sounds so wrong

Haha

Kaizer

That just sounds wrong

15 Aug 2012 16:42:59
hi ed002, are the reports coming out of spain true about tello signing an extension and that he wont be leaving barcelona?
thanks {Ed002's Note - An extension was always likely given the interest from clubs wishing to take him on loan. Whilst the manager has no immediate use for him in the first team, I am by no means convinced he will be moving to Anfield - although as we know there has been sustained interest. Not totally out of the question, but it may become so.}

Hi ed002 what do you think the chances are of an exchange deal with barcelona involving christian tello and daniel agger? {Ed002's Note - It may be possible but I rather think Tello wants to stay in Spain right now - we will see.}

15 Aug 2012 16:24:02
ed do you think that if agger is sold that we will not sign a replacement because when we played leverkusen coates looked very good apart from the odd mistake, maybe he is maturing as a player? response would be much appreciated! {Ed002's Note - We will see, but there certainly has been interest in CBs.}

We need more CBs, Carra's not able to carry that line a full 90 mins (often) and does not appear to be able to play consectutive games at a high standard leaving Martin and Agger as our only senior CBs. I agree Coates appears to have a bright future, and the same could be said of Kelly, but we need cover for the next few seasons to bring these guys through at the correct pace. CBs are rarely great before the age of 25 and most are in the peak years between 27 and 32.

KJ

I hope not as i thought coates had a very poor olympics

Even if Coates is moved up to be regular starter, we still need to get another CB as a backup. Just in case you forgot, remember what happened to us when Lucas was injured halfway into the last season and we do not have a backup DMF?

We are supposed to be lining up Diego Godin as a replacements should he leave. We have also been linked with the Swansea defender Ashley Williams....and yes I totally agree Coates looked very good and very calm against Leverkusen apart from one silly back pass, and if he scores another like he did against qpr he would certainly make my starting lineup!

I would very much prefer to get Coates and Kelly games, as opposed to buying another CB. And what about Danny Wilson, Coady, Wisdom, and Sama as back-ups?

Coates was my MOTM

15 Aug 2012 11:37:15
ed any idea who we would target if we cant get Walcott? gameiro maybe? {Ed002's Note - Lille and Malaga showed interest in Gameiro but he looks very likely to join Valencia. Liverpool have approached his agent - according to his agent.}

Ed002, Valencia have just signed Nelson Valdez and hence can't them going for Gameiro too while Malaga gas well documented financial problems. Perhaps LFC interest is genuine?

Jack Butland, Sahin, Johnson & Dempsey will all be in by the end of transfer window, Agger will sign a new contract over the next 48 hours, Sadly it doesn't look like landing Theo.
Matt

This is lying because I know where Jack Butalnd lives and he is not looking for new house yet

- Ibnan

I'd take all them, except for Adam Johnson.

Kev.

Er excuse me Ibnan! I'm not saying Butland is joining us but have you ever heard of hotels? Lots of players move into hotels when they join a new club and while their own house is put up for sale and they look for a new home somewhere else.Also IF a fee has been agreed for him I doubt very much the signing of the contract would wait until a "for sale" sign was put up on his house.

The Plank

Why is everyone so worried about Walcott? Overrated, expensive wages and the fee we would have to pay is rdiculous. What has Walcottever done of any note on the pitch? He's a sprinter not a footballer, we'd do as well to sign usain bolt.

Butland costs 18 million and its pointless spending on him when there's already an established first team goalkeeper. Since tello has already rejected liverpool its likely that sahin will do the same. Dempsey is only possible if there's a player swap involved and johnson I guess only if agger moves

Exactly. I agree. Walcott is not such a big talent and nothing special I'd say.. But if they pull of the Sahin,Dempsey and Johnson than all I say is that we have a good season ahead of us and good times...

The post and replies where interesting - but Jack Butland £18m - behave.

I agree with Sahin and Dempsey signing, but Johnson is only an alternative to Tello, and we will not pay what Birmingham want merely for a back up keeper who has only played league two football. De Vries is a more likely option.
Irishdom15

Why wouldnt we get theo?

Plank you are oviously a plank like your name suggests a player doesnt live in a hotel do you expect him to move in with a cat and dog and wife and baby? no its impossible. His house is not for sale so he is not for sale, thats how sales work

- Ibnan

Whoeva you are who said jack butlnd 18 million are u for real really 6 mil max u fool u no nothn about football bt yet post something like ur the dogs balls jack butland int even no 1 choice at his club championship club that is so there seconds keeper worth 18 mil wats the first choice keeper worth 50 mil grow up and stop posting uter rubbish . and we may have a first choice keeper but 85% of liverpool fans know raina want out he has done for a while now if an 18 mil bid come in for raina then he would be gone yet somehow u rate an unproved prem keeper with little experience more valuble than raina thats how stupid ur comment was . i belive jack will one day be better than raina in all depatments but that will take him 4 to 5 years of experince

I also think it is ridiculous that Jack Butland is worth £18m, but that is what Lee Clark is saying he will be worth if he gets a cap for England. I mean who is going to pay £18m for a 19 year old goalkeeper who has never even played at Championship level. It's just Lee Clark's way of keeping players because I'm pretty sure he was the same at Huddersfield with the price Jordan Rhodes.

Sorry Ibnan you are the plonker. Since when did sales depend upon house sales? You are joking aren't you?

Ibnan, just because his house isn't for sale, how do you know he isn't joining Liverpool? Yes some players do stay in a hotel when joining a new club - Woodgate did when he moved to Spurs. Also, Butland has a wife? He found someone quickly considering he's only 19!

A player moving clubs doesn't mean that they have to sell their house. That's not how sales work.

Rob

He doesn't need to move. He's young anyway. Likelyhood is that he'd go back on loan if anyone bought him.

Ibnan you must then be as thick as a brick if you believe a player can't move to a new club before he buys a house.Many players have joined Liverpool and moved into a hotel and then gone house hunting later.I have no idea whether Butland has a a wife and baby never mind a dog and cat and if you'd read my post you'd see that I said that I've no idea if he is to join us and I really don't care if he's for sale or not.Your final sentence speaks for your own stupidity when you say his home's not for sale so he's not for sale and that's how sales work.So no player ever moves to a new club till his house is up for sale and he's bought a new one? Stop talking drivel and cover your own team page not ours.

The Plank

Obviously you are another one of the clueless crew rob youve been watching too much olympicks

- Ibnan

Butlands manager was quoted in yesterday's press saying that now he's an international goalie his value is triple that of a league 2 goalie. Although, I haven't seen many league 2 goalies signing for £6m.

Theo bald spot is has good pace but couldn't finish a roast dinner

Theres some absolute wollys on here today isnt there! Lets start with Ibnan, IF butland were to move to us (which I doubt) he would not HAVE to have bought a house up here in order for any sale to go through.. its like The Plank said he could stay in a hotel whilst looking for a house. Secondly, whoever the illiterate monkey was who rambled on about butland not being worth 18m and slating the guy who said it, read Lee Clarks interview about him yesterday before you mindlessly start calling people all the names under the sun you ignorant imbosele. Christ half the people on here don't half chap my ass! Call yourselves Liverpool fans? Shankly would be turning in his grave!

Mick

100% agree with the Plank, Joe Cole moved into the Hilton Hotel when we signed him after he signed a contract and he's got a wife and kid so its ridiculous. I know this because I actually stayed in the hotel at the same time and got my photo taken with him.

Dont get me wrong, i dont for one minute think Butland will be signing but Ibnan, based on your theory, do you think Andy Carroll put his house on the market and sold it within the hour before jumping on the helicopter to sign for us on deadline day in January 2011??

Give your head a little wobble mate.

Marshy7

What a load of rubish to say a player wont move because his house is not for sale the majority of players rent houses when they move to new clubs lets face it they dont need to sell houses for financial reasons not saying butland will join us just that his house not being for sale is a rediculous arguement

Nice post Mick!

Paul

To marshy7 - didn't AC live with Kevin Nolan at the time? I get your point though.
RealisticRed

Ibnan, quality posts. Complete rubbish but a great laugh

Forget Butland he'd cost too much to not be first choice

RealisticRed - Yeah, fair point, but he then would have had to give Nolan 30 days notice before terminating his rent agreement, so that would have scuppered the transfer completely! ;-)

Marshy7

Ibnan. Absolutely rubbish hot mate. You should be on the stage

I don't live in England. So, I have no idea whether a player has to sell his house before moving to another club although I do believe it's not a must. But still can the eds shed some light upon the matter?

THE SUMON VAI {Ed002's Note - I have no time to say anything on such a ridiculous matter.}

Ibnan keep it coming..... great posts! lmao

You guys got it wrong, Ibnan is rumored saying the house is worth 18mil not the keeper.?

Redsingapore

Ibnan, do you think players on a minimum £50k a week (£2.5mill per year) have to sell a house to buy another? Also all clubs have houses that new players can move into temporarily, until they get themselves sorted.

Ibnan... can you not rent houses in england?

We'll have a great, attacking side this season and will do well to finsih above our more illustrious neighbours

Walcoot is awful

Ibnan, Ibnan, are you that detatched from reality, or stuck in your own version? The sort of money on the table for a player making a jump from Championship to EPL means that he can most likely buy another house. Since when does anybody in any walk of life have to sell there house before relocating for a job? Also I know it used to be the case, maybe the EDs have knowledge of it, but Club used to buy or rent nice properties near a few team-mates for new signings.
Brooksey1973

I feel sorry for your grey matter Ibnan

AZ

Liverpool rent 3 appartments permanently by sefton park for the purpose of new players my mate does the clearance when they move sending there belongings to there new home be it at Liverpool or a new club Andrea dossena just threw his keys to him and walked out didn't even pack a bag

Sources from Anfield reveal Adam has agreed to move to London. Expect Dempsey to sign by Friday and Sahin will also sign in coming days. Both will be paraded to the press on next coming Tuesday.

-Brendon-

Hope this is true. Adam is not good enough for Liverpool.Dempsey will be a much better replacement.Hope this is true and finally gets done.

Where do you get your info from? Why will they be paraded to the press Tuesday pretty sure if Rodgers can tie up deals before the weekend paperwork permitting will have them at least on the bench?

Who, When, Where, What!! - let me know ill make sure I have a full tank of fuel to drive Adam to Fulham myself!

Might even get a picture with Michael Jackson!

NS

NS, I'll chip in with some Petrol money and a few quid for the Toll road ;-)

As it has become apparent this evening, Liverpool have agreed fee, believed to be around £8m, with Fulham for Clint Dempsey. However, the deal for USA international has not been finalised just as yet since Charlie Adam, a player who was offered as a makeweight in the deal, remains to be convinced that his future career lies at the North-West club.

This has been the case for the past 4 days...

Charlie your future career isnt at LFC so just move already!

BrisbaneLFC

I hope we can offload Adam & Carroll. But as it stands our £35m donkey is staying:(
Man, the only players leaving are the ones we want while the unwanted ones are simply not getting out of our way. Players like Carroll & Adam are thorns in the path of Liverpool's success. Why can't they understand that, they're simply not good enough for us.

THE SUMON VAI

Fulham is not a northwest club

THE SUMON VAI - A number of Liverpool officials much more qualified and experienced than you get to make them decisions, I guess you wouldn't celebrate if either of them scored the winner on Saturday right?

While they wear they Liverbird, we should support them.

Dan

Well said Dan, couldn't agree more

Dan, according to the rules of your argument, no one should be allowed an opinion on Liverpool, other than those who run the club. Suman Vai is entitled to his opinion as much as you are.

Dan, a goal is a result of team effort and therefore any celebration is recognition of that team effort. Having the Liverbird on their shirt doesn't make an average player worthy of a place in our club. Carroll just doesn't fit into our new style. Would Adam make the starting 11 at Barca? Exactly. We are Liverpool FC and our benchmark should be above that of even Barca. If you want to be the best you have to better the best. I'm tired of reading posts where fans just accept mediocrity because of the "Liverbird".

"Rules of my argument"...Are you having a laugh?

He doesn't raise an opinion, he states matter of factly that they are not good enough to play for Liverpool, well right now who is 'good enough'? The only signings we have gotten so far were both playing in the championship 2 seasons ago, Liverpool is not a champions league top 4 team right now, we are trying to resolve a number of financial issues from the past few years, while steadily improving our squad.

And I am not saying don't have an opinion, by all means that' a fundamental part of supporting football, but his statements are daft and said as fact, not opinion. He refers to Carroll as Donkey, that's a class supporter right there. That same Donkey put us in a final, destroyed Chelsea twice in 4 days and was arguably our best player for April and May 2012.

So yes, everyone should have an opinion, but some of the things our fellow 'supporters' say is shameful. And once in a while it annoys me enough to make completely useless reply online.

Dan

I agree with Dan. Carroll is a great player. And I believe Adam will shine this year if given a chance.

Look at carroll when stevie came back towards the end of the season he looked a different player if you give him the service he will score plenty of goals he had downing last season on one side and kuyt or henderson on the right none of them had a good season and didnt supply him with quality balls. At newcastle they played to his strenghts and he did the buisness so its unfair to judge a striker who had crap service

Totally agree with dan, too many factual opinions that, to be honest, are a load of bull. Carroll was our best player in april/may and the boy needs a chance. i personally dont want to see him go as he gives another dimension, a plan b if you like, if we need to win a game. on his day he is an absolute menace to defenders, as we saw when he had terry and ivanovic in his pocket over those two games. while hes a liverpool player, lets give him the support he needs.

Tello will be signing an extension with Barcelona and is not joining Liverpool...

Rodgers attention will turn to completing the deals for Walcott and Sahin before returning to the Dempsey deal which is expected to drag on till deadline day, Adam a possible makeweight in negotiations.

Luis

Just because he signs an extension doesn't mean he won't sign for us on loan. I'm sure his current contract runs out at the end of the year so it is important for him to sign a new contract with Barca before he is sent out on loan.

BthekingB

Signing an extension doesnt necessary mean is not joining Liverpool ON LOAN.Numerous report says we are interested to take him on loan or buy him outright.

Tello deal is off and I believe Walcott will be staying at Arsenal having just renewed his contract. The best option now should be getting Adam Johnson. Premier league ready and good enough. Better than Downing anyways. Would be nice to see Dempsey in red by the end of all this. I hope we dont pull out at the last minute.
Also read on here that Callejon could be an option if Tello fails but I dont think that can happen as I am sure you can't loan 2 players from the same team (Sahin).

Tello signing a new contract extension actually improves chances of him leaving on loan, no way was barcelona going to loan him out with only 1 year left on contract essentially would have meant a free transfer if they would have loaned him out

Tello deal is on and nearly done. He has no squad number at Barca. {Ed002's Note - He is in the B Squad.}

The meeting between sporting director Zubizarreta and Tello's agent has ended. Renewal is close, Tello will not join Liverpool.

This, even if true still doesn't rule out a loan move does it? who loans a player out with less than a year left to run on their contract?

He could still join on loan.

Yeah seen it on a spanish website. Ah well have to get other targets johnson/walcott and sahin

Congratulations on being able to read from elsewhere and regurgitate on here.

If Tello wants to stay at Barca where he doesn't even have a squad number then quite frankly they can keep him. All he is guaranteed is a place in the B team and the possibility of being drafted into the squad for emergencies, ambition should see him elsewhere.

However I can see him signing an extension with Barca and still being loaned to us, it would be better for his development than B team matches.

Sahin 2 liverpool on loan nxt 48 hours

Barca want to improve the contract .b4 tello comes to liverpool on loan...as we know loan moves do tend to get permanent....if we might get in CL, and tello or any other lone signing gets more time n regular success here then...permanant move cab be onthe cards ...

My understanding is Tello is not in Barcelona's first team plans for this coming season. Barcelona B or a loan is his only option I would think.

Where did you get this information?

What utter rubbish, if anything a new contract makes it even more likely he will join on loan.

Hi eds what's the latest regarding a left bk as cover for Enrique or do they see Robinson as this?

Thanks
Mighty reds {Ed001's Note - I was told that Robinson is expected to be cover this season.}

Don't forget than Johnson has proved to be more than capable at LB as well.

LIVERPRES

Robinson seems to have the quality to make the grade, we also have Johnson to cover left back as well.

I work at xxx in Thornton (north Liverpool 5aside centre) and Jack Robinson came in last night to play 5aside with his friends in one of our leagues. I was quite suprised as I thought the club would not allow him to do this incase of injury!

Unfortunately, Enrique has been our weak link so far. He's been very inconsistent and gets caught out of position quite often leaving Downing to have to track back and cover, let's hope he improves by the start of the season

Fitz

Glen johnson will be the cover if we need cover johnson will go left an kelly will go rb

Hello Eds! I tried to post this question earlier today but for some reason it didn't go through. Coulden't find it anywhere either. Are LFC interested in John Guidetti and do you think he would be a good buy? Read that MCFC are ready to offload him this summer.

With regards -red norwegian- {Ed001's Note - I don't know of any specific interest from us in him, but City are not looking to offload him, it was him wanting to get first team football and making comments that has led to his potential availability. As far as I am aware we weren't interested, I don't know if that was just because he was unlikely to be available until his comments or if he just wasn't of interest.}
