I have heard that Michu will be a summer target for the reds. Michu will be an ideal signing to come off from the bench to play

I don't see how he is the ideal signing.

Surely Swansea squeezed the value out of that one?

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard we were in for him last summer but swans wanted too much. His value should have dropped by now given the season he has had. Maybe monk and the board would want the funds to rebuild but not sure we r still chasing him. 10-15 max I would say

Hi Eds,

Seeing as though we are unlikely to sign Rodriguez or Moreno, what other left back options are Liverpool looking at?

Believable3 Unbelievable28

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool enquired about Ryan Bertrand.}

Sorry, should have made myself clearer. You have mentioned Bertrand before, but is that all in terms of left back enquiries that Liverpool have had?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That is all I am able to confirm.}

Read a report this morning linking us to Marcel Schmelzer of Borussia Dortmund. The report states he will be BR No.1 transfer target.
Don't know how much truth there is in this one but just thought I would put it out there.

In terms of a flexible attacking player who can score goals one of my favorite Brazilians is Bernard. He fits the LFC profile perfectly and is currently in the potentially volatile Ukraine. Do the eds think he would be a good player for us? Would it be a very complicated transfer if they attempted to sign him as he only recently was a big money transfer there despite the fact that players must be unsettled playing in that environment? Appreciate your response

Believable5 Unbelievable14

{Ed002's Note - Bernard won't be joining Liverpool.}

Hi Eds,
if I am seeing articles from now on this topic, i'm sure it will get mentioned throughout the transfer window. the daily star is writing that Liverpool will break their transfer record to sign ross barkley for 38 million pounds? surely this is unfeasible as everton would not sell their most talented player at the best period in the club's recent history, let alone to their most bitter rival. what are your thoughts eds?
cheers as always

{Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it.}

Lazy Journalism. Anyone with a decent knowledge of English footy will know this will never happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

To say it would be a shock would be a huge understatement. Not sure he'd want to move anyhow- he was a huge Toffee as a kid and if he were to it would make him seen quite literally as Judas to Goodison.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen a report where Martinez has said "We turned down a bid of £50 mill from Manchester United for him (Barkley) so what makes you think we would accept £38 mil from LFC?"

Seems to sum it all up!

Agree0 Disagree0

If is in a british tabloid it MUST be true

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure whether it'd be more crazy to offer £50M for Barkley or turn down £50M for Barkley.

Agree3 Disagree0

I'd be surprised if we spent more than 20mil on any one player this summer and I think Barkely to us is never going to happen.

Hi ed's. Couple of questions on Ricardo Rodriguez of Wolfsburg. Firstly, are we interested in him? I searched his name on this site but couldn't find any conclusive answer on our interest. Secondly, any update on which clubs are interested in him and if any are in advanced talks with Wolfsburg? Last reply on him was about a month ago, so a reply would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed.}
