Cpl of things I wanted to ask Ed01 or Ed02 I know it has been covered but seen so many articles regarding Dahoud, not saying they are true by any means. All saying a Jan buy due to him been able to go cheaper in the summer. Klopp is really keen on him. Seen about 7 different articles on it. Also Ed02 have searched but can't find your podcast

Second thing I wanted to ask was regarding a player that has a carer changing injury. I presume the club would pay out the rest of their contract. I wondered about insurance. Does the club or is the player advised to insure the themselves. Not sure if it's a silly question but I have no idea. Been meaning to ask since Ings got injured again cheers.

Mo Dahoud was subject of an approach by Juventus to Borussia Mönchengladbach in November 2015 where they were rebuffed in respect of a January transfer. Manchester City also has a declared interest in the player then but his poor performances have meant that interest has gone. The player was watched by Leicester, Kasımpasa, Norwich and Shakhtar Donetsk last season. Juventus and Dortmund are interested but there are no offers on the table for him at all right now but his club are aware of the interest and are keen to move him on in January.

Players at the higher-level clubs are well insured.}

I don't have access to Bundsliga games so sorry Ed002 for asking this. Just wondering if you have any idea why his form has dropped?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know Phil.}

I got a text message the other week regarding Barcelona citing a move for young Phil Coutinho possibly next summer. Now, whilst that is probably NOT news to most of you what followed certainly got me thinking. The lady who sent me this message has no reason to lie, in fact her contacts within the German game are far too credible to discount her.

The news is Barcelona originated but stems from The Bayern Munchen camp with Thiago Alacantara claiming to people within the club his brother Rafinha has been courted by Liverpool. I understand contact was made this summer and the feelers went out regarding a transfer to LFC before of course we signed Wijnaldum. Certain claims are being made that Barcelona are willing to offer up Rafinha as part of a deal for Coutinho this summer and another player could also be engineered into a deal (My hunch here is Aleix Vidal) .

Anyway take this as you will, this being a 'rumours page' I thought it would give you guys something to digest.

Ed002, if you can elaborate any more that would be excellent. I understand Rafinha wasn't mentioned on your podcast though (smashing job by the way) .

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Rafinha was indeed a player looked at by Liverpool (and Manchester United, Arsenal and PSG) but that was in 2013/2014 when he was at Celta and it was not clear if he would get an opportunity at Barcelona. He went on to be a regualr player in the team and aside from losing most of last season to injury he has continued as a regularly used player. He also primarily plays in the same position as mane who I doubt that Liverpool will be looking to put on the bench so I cannot see why he would think of leaving Barcelona for Liverpool. If Liverpool have made contact with the player that would be a potentially significant issue as the club has sailed far to close to tapping up issues in the summer (with the authorities already informed of this). I am not aware of Barcelona considering offering the player as part of any deal for Coutinho.}

Thanks Ed002, I will take what I have been told with a pinch of salt.

News papers reckon we're lifting Luke Shaw's tail for a sniff.
I don't want him, for two reasons,
He's manc and I don't rate him, though I will admit I've not watched him much at all.

So are we interested and if so would the fans take to him?

I imagine this is an old recycled story from his Southampton days. However how can you rate/ not rate a player if you've not watched him? Very good player imo and I hope he can recover from his injury nightmare.

Was looking like he was coming into form. He is talented no doubt, and just needs the right environment, manager etc.

Well, I subjected my view point by saying that I have not seen him.

I've also not seen him flying high in ratings, I've not heard Barcelona or another big team interested during a time of few left backs in the world when it appears he's available.
So I can not say he's good, nor bad I just think if he was good enough for us then there would be more hype about him. Also having a lack of first hand knowledge of him, I asked the collective to enlighten me.
Not belittle me.

So is he good enough for us?
And would he ingratiate himself to the fans?

Liverpool and man utd don't do business together so this is a non story, nothing to see move on, as for tracking smalling, no words needed.

Gained too much bulk and has failed adapting his play to suit his altered pbysique.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is more that he has a crap lifestyle and that is why he has got fat, not bulk, on his frame.}
