Afternoon eds! Leon Mann from BBC Sport reported that LFC made a bid on Tuesday for Kwadwo Asamoah but were told that he had already decided for Juve. Any truth behind this? It was certain that he was moving to Juve but my real interest is to know if we are already making bids and moving for players.. Thanks

LFC have tabled a bid in the excess of £12 million for Sturridge dependant on his negotiations with Di matteo and Rodgers is interested in Keith Andrews (Ireland) and Adam Johnson for an expected fee of £9 million £75,000 per week and £5 million add ons if he gets caped for England.. No, he said in an interview that he was going to follow the euros from behind the television. Hence at least he didn't plan to go there, and certainly not with the spanish national team so shortly after his appointment (a lot of work to be done). {Ed002's Note - He should perhaps try it from in front of a television rather than behind.}

1. Is it true that Dave fallows (The Manchester City Scout) has joined liverpool ?
2. Regarding Aquilani heard 2 rumours
a. Liverpool have released him.
b. LFC aren't releasing Aquilani, he's reportedly buying himself out of his contract which would see The Reds net around £4m from the Italian.
are they true ?
3. Ed002 the Brazilian FWD you mentioned if we do bid for him will it be posiible for him to get work permit ?

If he buy's himself out, it would cost well in excess of £8 million (assuming he is on wages of £80,000 per week.) Under the Webster Ruling, he would need to pay us the two years salary remaining on his contract plus some compensation. Although the compensation could eventually be quite small, if we don't agree to the amount offered it woud be determined by the Court of Arbritration for Sport. Him leaving that way would actually be a better deal for us ironically, which is why I can't see it happening ;)

He decided to stay in Hamburg and then took the option of a move to Juventus over Newcastle - but it has not really worked out and Juve were willing for him to make a move on loan in January with, I expect, an option to buy. Everton, Hertha Berlin and Newcastle had apparently shown interest and his representatives were looking to place him in a northern European side where he would get a regular start but nothing came of it. He will be available this summer but the only firm interest right now is from Benfica and Genk although West Ham may try and lure him to London.}

I don't normally post my own rumours because I don't have a credible source at all but my friend's sister knows Steven Caulker of Spurs and he has told us that he "may be off to Liverpool but would like to stay at Spurs for another 12 months." He then said that "he couldn't tell us any more than that."

I admit, this sounds stupid but I never lie and this is what Caulker has said to me and my mates. Normally I wouldn't believe people that post stuff like this but I swear I'm being genuine with those quotes from Caulker.

Dare I say that if he arrives, then you heard it here first? Admittedly I am remaining sceptical about my own source as Caulker himself didn't say much but who knows!?

I am unsure of my source because of how little Caulker actually said. Those 2 quotes is pretty much all he said, he said nothing about how interested LFC are in him, whether Spurs want to sell him or anything.

I never claimed that I know Caulker is coming to LFC because he didn't say he was. If you read the quotes, he said "may be off to Liverpool", nothing more. I don't know wether this means he is going or not and quite frankly, it sounds as if maybe he doesn't know.

Make of the quotes what you want but I'm just passing on what he said to me and my mates.

On this occasion however I have met Steven Caulker thanks to my mates sister knowing him so he told us the quotes I put in the original post. I don't therefore have a credible source for all LFC transfers like I said, I have just managed to get lucky and get told those quotes from Caulker.

We were interested in (then Real Madrid player) Rafael van der Vaart. Eds, do you think there's any chance of singing him now, after Redknapp's departure? Or maybe dos Santos? He is a promissing player.
Jack {Ed002's Note - VDV I would very much doubt - if he moves it will almost certainly be to Schalke. Dos Santos would be available but is thought to be headed back to Galatasaray - although last year he was thought to be heading for Spain.

Could one of the ed's enlighten me, Chelsea and Man U have 'signed' Kagawa and Hazard - but we have to wait until the after the 1st July to sign Siggy' from Hoffenhiem (via Swansea),...

Is that because he was playing in the EPL or is it that there is 'an agreement in place' for the Man u & Chelsea players in place, so 'signed' is a presumtion until after the 1st?

Sport.es are reporting it.

Do you know if there is any truth in firm interest in this player. It seems to me a bid is one step too far but we may be considering him.

There was a possibility of a loan to Atletico Madrid but that has now seemingly been refused by Barcelona who have no plans for the player under the new manager. I understand that there remains a slim chance of a loan deal to Ajax or to Valencia - both as part of a deal for other players I am informed. If that does not happen the kid will be sold. I don't know that a bid has been placed by Liverpool, but there is interest.}

How much is there to these recent Krasic rumours? Are they just paper talk or is there more to them? £6-8mil seems a really good price and worth the risk! {Ed002's Note - Juventus will be open to offers for Krasic and Joksimovic has been trying to get as many clubs as possible interested including Lazio, Liverpool and Spurs - and he has had success with all three showing interest. Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, Villarreal, Sevilla, Zenit St Petersburg, Fenerbahce and Anzhi Makhachkala have a confirmed interest in the player although I suspect Dortmund will drop their interest. There is at least one very influential person at Chelsea who very much likes the player and wishes to revisit earlier interest. Krasic has declared his interest in Manchester United and it is not completely out of the question that they may be interested in him. Fenerbahce and Lazio strike me as the most likely destinations for him right now.}

ed people are saying we new players in different positions but i think the first position that has to be looked at is the goalkeeper . pepe reina is not that same keeper is was 3/4 years ago . I heard Gulacsi was being highly rated by former Staff. That's why he wasn't allowed to leave (he could leave only on loan). I've never really seen the lad play, so I hope he's good.

Surely Vorm of Swansea would be a more realstic person to replace Renia, Even though I don't think he will leave.

With exception to Man City i would think any prem side would sign Reina in a bloody heart beat. He is a great keeper you person !!

There are many suitable replacements for Reina now and potentially in 5 seasons time, Teenage sensations such as Bernd Leno (Played for Leverkusen against Barcelona at just 19) ter-Stegen; alongside Marco Reus they got Borrussia Moenchengladbach (Spelling) into the top 4. There is also Mandanda and also Lloris; both in the French Ligue and if I am correct neither have CL next season. Plus there are others that would be suitable, Krul, Vorm or Diego Lopez would do a fine job.

If I could choose our next signing Id love to see Kesuke Honda sign for LFC. I think he's class and would suit the BR playing model and the FSG recruitment model perfectly. Do you know of any continued scouting efforts in his direction?

I know we have looked at him closely in the past, but was that interest firmly ended and not reopened? Will he have a 'file' that will be passed on to BR?

The Reds look to have won the race to sign the attacking midfielder who did so well under Brendan Rodgers at Swansea last season whilst on loan from Germany.

The Swans had wanted to take him on a permanent deal and that looked likely to happen if Rodgers had stayed in Wales but as soon as he moved to Anfield all bets were off and Sigurdsson changed his mind.

ED002 I asked a question earlier that I am not sure was fully discussed. Thomas Mueller is unhappy at Bayern with his time on the bench. I have been watching him for awhile and he is just fun to watch in attack. I will not go into particulars but next to Suarez he is one of my favorite players to watch. Even if he does not score he is a wow player like Suarez.

I rate him very highly and he is 23 and unhappy at his club. Why is there not much discussion on him moving on to anywhere? I would absolutly love to see him at LFC though I do not know if BR is interested. With both Mueller and Suarez in the side at the same time would be a joy to watch.

My question to the ED002 or any of the ED's who may have good information is there anyone interested in him and what would be your best quess at his transfer cost? To the readers I received a few "disagree" responses and I honestly wanted to know why. Do you not rate him or do you just think he will not be coming to Liverpool? Thanks so much for the responses from the ED's and readers positive or negative.

As for rating Henderson higher, I have no idea what you have ever seen of either of them to even say that. I would agree that Suarez and Muller are different types of Wow players but they are both as exciting in my mind. To explain it a little more clearly is that Suarez is like wow I can't believe he just beat 3 MU players in their box that's ridiculous. With Muller he creates something out of nothing like Suarez but he uses his team mates but he is not afraid to shoot either. So with Muller I am like wow I can't believe that he had the vision, timing, and precision to make that happen. He sees openings in the defense that I will not feel is possible to exploit until after he has done so. He knows when to stay wide for a cross and when to cut in, in order to create the most damage possible. So they are both wow type attacking players but in a different way.

Would be an absolute steal if we could get him for 20 - 25M and with Mueller being unhappy the unofficial 30M price is likely to drop.

PSG consider making a staggering move for Liverpool flop
French giants Paris St. Germain are looking to make a shock move for Liverpool big money flop Andy Carroll as they believe that the player can be a catalyst to spur their European ambitions. According to reports in the French media, PSG are looking to submit a 20 million pound bid for the Liverpool striker, but are not willing to dish out a penny more as they are pondering over some other striker options.

Andy Carroll has been a huge disappointment since his huge money move to Liverpool from Newcastle United. The striker managed just four league goals for his club last season despite having no dearth of opportunities under Kenny Dalglish.

The player has failed to lead the line as well as the agile and dexterous Luis Suarez but has shown glimpses of promise. His hefty price tag is another issue that will irk Liverpool if they find themselves at the negotiation table which makes one believe that a move may need a fair deal of coaxing from PSG.

The French club are also looking at Real Madrid hot shot Gonzalo Higuain as the Argentine has found himself being used largely from the bench despite his excellent track record and media speculation has linked him with a move away. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is another earmarked property the club wish to own but convincing AC Milan to give up their main man will be difficult task.

PSG are mulling over some big name players as they attempt to pull off a Man City in the coming years. Andy Carroll could find a new lease of life at the club but one does believe his future in the next term lies in the red half of Merseyside.

I wouldn't say he's been a complete failure. Especially at the end of the season, he has started to show glimpses of his potential, and I reckon if we can get a proper winger or two he'll do well. Can't see PSG offering £20m for him anyway, but I think we'd be looking to recoup more of the transfer fee.

Whilst Carroll did improve massively towards the end of the season, we wont be buying playes to provide arial service - not Rogers style of play. Also, his first touch is awful, and he cant make quick, accurate passes, so wouldnt fit Rogers' style of play.

A lot of people wouldnt even value him at 20m, so i believe if we are offered it, it will be gladly accepted.

If PSG offered £20m i would drive Andy through the Euro tunnel myself, Can't see it though.

I sincerly hope Carroll stays and I dont care what people think. He was played for a game and dropped for a game all the time. His goals against Everton and Blackburn prove he's got quality including how poor we where against Chelsea in the FA Cup final until he came on. People need to realise he's only young and with the right players actually providing a ball to his head (Downing zero assists to anyone all season) he'll get us goals.

If Roma pay another €28m in June, they will own him outright, but if they leave it until June 2013 then Barcelona will buy him back for €13m. However, I understand that Barcelona are not interested in taking Bojan back so are open to negotiating the sale of his remaining rights to Roma for less than the contracted amount. However, Roma are not impressed with Bojan following a series of poor performances meaning that neither club want him. Bojan would cost in excess of €40M if his full value was paid. He will probably complete the move to Roma for some sort of negotiated deal, perhaps including a couple of younger players. The only viable alternative would be for a club, perhaps Liverpool, to negotiate with Barcelona to take the player which would probably mean paying both parties. It seems most unlikely to me that Liverpool would want to be taking on a player who has been under-performing for even half of the contractual valuation.}
