Ed001 if your around we've been linked to aidran Lopez from A Madrid for only 7 million just wondering if you heard anything any more importantly what he is like as a player? {Ed001's Note - strange one this, he was expected to be a huge star as a kid, he was rated at about £20m to buy, just over a year ago, but his perceived value has been on the wane ever since. He is not a prolific scorer, though he does play wide on the right usually so that might well excuse that, though still his record has been poor for the last season and a half in terms of scoring. He has not been getting the assists that he should either. Every time I have watched him, which hasn't been for a couple of seasons, so I saw him when he was playing well, it always seemed that he was only effective if his team mates were. He seems to be extremely reliant on good service and help from the team around him. Neat and tidy, gets involved in the build up etc, but he won't change a game or anything, from my observations. I can see how he would appeal to us in terms of his play, especially as he can play anywhere across the front line, but I feel he lacks the right mentality. When Atletico played poorly, he played poorly, he never seemed to want to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Even now, when his form is being praised, it seems he is playing well because the team around him is, rather than he is performing well and so is the team. I hope that makes sense, as I am not sure how to describe what I mean, as it is more of a feeling I get watching him, rather than something I can quantify by pointing to examples of it happening. I would expect Atletico to want more than 7m anyway, to be honest, to sell him, especially while they are up above their city rivals. I have read of the interest, but I don't know much about it, though we do still want Diego Costa for definite, so maybe the monitoring of him is being either misread or packaged with a watch on Adrian.}

I hear ya loud and clear when we beat Fulham he'll be grate but when we struggle against the likes of Stoke on a cold winters day he won't want to no am I right ed? Well Costa would be ideal if suarez leaves cheers mate {Ed001's Note - I don't think it would be the weather though, it would be how the game was going. If we were on top, he would be great, but if we were being pressed and struggling, he would be struggling more than most.}

Ed, I know Rafael Van Der Vaart moved back home to Hamburg but surely he has enough talent to offer us in the AM positions at the moment, what's his situation and would you see it as possible to tempt him back to England? {Ed002's Note - There is no "situation" and he won't be moving to Liverpool in January.}

Sorry ed, all I meant by situation was what with Hamburg doing terribly I wondered whether VDV might want to move, regardless ofbwhere to. {Ed002's Note - Writing such words as "surely he has enough talent to offer us" will always prove misleading then.}

Not wanting to fall into motd fever but have any clubs showed strong interest in Lallana? Undoubtedly a very good player and personally I think would be a solid addition to the Liverpool team and would give us another tricky midfielder ala coutinho. Personally I would be very pleased if this came to fruition but feel that perhaps we should look to be signing a powerful midfielder who is good on the ball as Gerrard isn't able to influence games against the top sides like he used to. Cheers for any info eds as ever {Ed001's Note - plenty have throughout his career, but they are not looking to sell and so far he has shown no interest in leaving. I remember we showed interest in him and Schneiderlin, back when Southampton were in League 1 and they refused to consider offers. We tried again when they were in the Championship, again they wouldn't listen to offers for either. I don't see why they would consider them now they are pushing for a European place.}

That's madness Ed001, still, credit to Southampton I suppose, they had a game plan and they bloody stuck to it! {Ed001's Note - hardly madness when they don't need the money though.}
