Ed has Snodgrass signed for a premiership club yet? I believe Lambert was after him but then he moved clubs.
RNred {Ed001's Note - I doubt it, only Lambert has interest in him, he is not that good you know, very slow.}

13 Jun 2012 22:06:34
any interest in Rondon?

13 Jun 2012 22:39:09
saloman kalou agent :

"There are conversations going on, and of course when that is happening then you must be careful what you say," said Linse. "Liverpool can speak for themselves, and Schalke can speak for themselves.

Eds, do you still think Yann Mvila will end up at Arsenal, or is there a chance we may move for him? {Ed002's Note - Inter Milan, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all shown a determined interest in M'Vila and perhaps PSG and Barcelona will become interested as well. However, he remains there for the taking of Arsenal should they make an offer that is acceptable to Rennes.}

13 Jun 2012 21:59:18
gaston ramirez will join man city not the reds.man city offer stupid wages and champions league football ,thats the way it is unfortunatly. gutted he would great for the reds.

I would think his chief concern would be 1st team football and would he get that at city? That's why I think we may still have a chance, besides They are not gonna offer a player on about 15-30 grand a week at Bologna (Guesstimate) 100k straight off I would think.

13 Jun 2012 20:39:37
Evening eds any intrest or chance of valbuena?
Bigredan {Ed002's Note - Valbuena was for sale over the summer last year and there was interest from several clubs, with Arsenal showing some interest the previous year - due to a enquiry via Jose Anigo that was pushed back at the time. There was also speculation in France that Arsenal would make an approach to Marseille to take Valbuena as a replacement for Nasri but that never happened. Right now the player is not looking to move and Marseille are not looking to sell unless a significant offer were made to tempt them. There is no interest from Liverpool.}

Ok cheers eds thanks what a player he is tho like a fast tricky dirk kuyt would love to see him in our red jersey

13 Jun 2012 20:31:47
I know we have no chance of signing him....but eds what does the future hold for Wesley Sneijder? Is he on the move this summer would hate to see him at Man Utd! {Ed002's Note - Anzhi, Manchester United or Spartak Moscow will be Sneijder's possible destinations this summer.}

2 Russian clubs? I am not doubting your view but doubt if he wants to go there

He is past it.could yoou not see that last game and 2nite,swienstiger taught him van bommel nd de jong a lesson.

Hardly past it. He's created 17 chances in Holland's 2 games.
But I agree, Schweinsteiger was the best player on the park tonight
Joe

Russia it is then. Man U have no interest after signing Kagawa and Powell.

Schweinsteiger and Ozil would be first two signings if my name was Brendan Rodgers or John Henry or Tom Warner or whoever sorts it. The Robster.

Not sure what you were watching then cause he was class. just unfortunate that none of the other dutch players were on the night. world class easy

He is past it? He's been arguably player of the tournament so far....... sure you're not watching Blackpool repeats by accident?

13 Jun 2012 19:48:06
Ed 002, what was the fee with regards to the option Roma did not take up on Kajear? {Ed002's Note - 10M euros. They will likely press for another loan. Wolfsburg will want to sell.}

If skrtel leaves he should be first place replacement

I can tell you 100% Kjaar will not be signing for Liverpool. The Robster.

Why would Wolfsburg want to sell him ed? {Ed002's Note - Because Kjaer will not play for Felix Magath.}

What's that about 7m in pounds? Absolute bargain for that price. {Ed002's Note - Nearer £8M but that was the deal.}

13 Jun 2012 20:08:47
Hi eds

wondering what your opinions on the real betis striker ruben castro are. He scored 43 goals in 75 games and i think he might be a decent signing

{Ed006's Note - He would be a decent signing yes.}

He's 30 so never a possibility signing for us soldado or negredo more likely

13 Jun 2012 20:06:58
any chance of suseata for liverpool ?

{Ed006's Note - Doubtful.}

13 Jun 2012 19:33:44
Ed's, Vaclav Pilar was my "one to watch" coming out of the first round of matches. He's technical, quick, fits the pass and move philosophy, he's young, and I reckon we could land him from Viktoria Plzen! Do you have any news on him? Not necessarily regarding us, but who's after him? Is it true that he has an agreement in place to go to Wolfsburg? {Ed002's Note - Pilar signed for Wolfsburg in January and stayed on loan - he won't be moving this summer.}

Yeah we should just get Ronaldo instead he is much better anyway

13 Jun 2012 19:26:48
Hi Ed,
Isla and asamoah are going to do medicals with juventus
This week.

Thanks MALTA. {Ed002's Note - Yes, perhaps.}

THIS IS LIVERPOOL RUMOURS NOT JUVENTUS!!!!

To be fair both players have been connected with us. I am sure someone will be on soon shouting that we have now missed out on 2 more players.

13 Jun 2012 19:21:22
I'd just like to no wot coentraos status is he realistic lovley left foot {Ed002's Note - He will not be moving this summer.}

Ive watched him all season and he has been garbage, i remember when everybody on here were begging for him to sign for us, im glad he didnt

13 Jun 2012 19:17:26
eds whats the deal with tello?

thanks zzz {Ed002's Note - I know that Balague has said that Tello's contract is up this year but that is not my understanding and I very much expect that Barcelona will offer him a new deal. As for interest from Liverpool I don't know how serious it is but I understand the player has been watched. There is also some interest from Valencia, Ajax, Atletico Madrid, Seville and Liverpool and from Porto. There was a possibility of a loan to Atletico Madrid but that has gone - there remains a chance of a loan deal to Ajax or to Valencia - both as part of a deal for other players I am informed. Loan chances do appear to be slipping away.}

Why are people so obsessed with signing barcelona fringe players? just because they've wore a barca jersey dosent mean their any good. i was looking at affelay tonight and in the game against denmark and he really isnt that good a footballer, downings every bit as good. liverpool need players who will improve the team not barca castoffs, so knock the tello, affellay bulls**t on the head, their not good enough, trust me i know my football...ynwa

13 Jun 2012 18:00:04
Hello Ed(s)
Would a deal for Sigurðsson mean we won't go for Gastón Ramírez both attacking Midfielders...

As for rumours. I have not heard anything new. striker we want is still Soldado is still of interest. I'd love it if we got both Ryad Boudebouz and Adam Johnson, but it seems we are only looking at brining in 1 winger, unless Maxi also leaves.

South African YNWA {Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation about Gaston Ramirez already - try the search function.}

Yeah we should get Messi too!!!!

13 Jun 2012 17:46:41
Hi eds,
What's the story with Simon Kjaer? I have admire him for a while, and he would be a great partner for agger should skrtel leave or as cover when agger is injured, with carra on the way out too! Are Roma planning to sign him permanently, an if so, what are the fees like? Could we compete?

Republic of Scouse {Ed002's Note - Roma did not take up the option (by June 1 from memory) but the player is still hopeful a deal can be completed with them. He has made it clear that he will not return to Wolfsburg under the extant management.}

Your obviously not watching the denmark v portugal game terrible defending.....

Kjaer had one great season 3 years ago. He has not been able to keep a place in the team (2 teams) for the last 2 seasons. If we need a replacement for Carragher I hope we will go for someone better...

13 Jun 2012 17:08:46
Hi Eds,

Any chance of Moutinho?

Top notch site! {Ed002's Note - Doubtful and very costly. Rumours persist of Moutinho moving to Chelsea if they would pay the 30M euros required but realistically it is unlikely to happen either.}

13 Jun 2012 16:38:59
sly reporting that west ham in talks to sign elia.. why aren't we moving in?

We probably are just sly sports dont know cos were not like westham telling media everything we do to gain publicity

Or maybe cos we dont want him - we can get better players then him for the same price or cheaper, tello, affellay, susaeta, kalou, blascykowski, moses, dzagoev

Because hes another Ryan Babel

Because he's not that good

Because we don't want him maybe?

Rob

Because it's just you that wants him.

Because he couldn't get in the juve team and if he's talking to a team like west ham he's not good enough for us {Ed002's Note - Mascherano, Benayoun, Joe Cole?}

Coz he's crap

He's not good enough. you slate downing but you want to replace him with another out of form winger ?

Cos he is rubbish

Because he is only an average player, same with afellay and Erikson , only players out of euro 2012 so far worth getting are ozil and sneijder , from home Adam Johnson if the money city want is reasonable

13 Jun 2012 16:33:04
Is it true Roma havent taken up the option on Fernando Gago? Italian teams taking the piss with loans and not signing the player haha.

Any interest from liverpool? good cover for DEF MID
cheap?

Dublin Red {Ed002's Note - They are not willing to pay the full fee.}

Given the state of finances I imagine from Italian Clubs point of view that this is a good aprroach.
Just because it doesn't suit the selling team doesn't mean it's out of order.
It is, in fact, good use of finances

I think gago is class and would go straight into our starting IX but he is too similar to charlie adam! If he arrives then adam has to leave
A.K

13 Jun 2012 16:24:32
I'm hearing that Barcelona have received and rejected offers for Tello from Sevilla & Betis as they do not want to sell him to another team in La Liga and he will be offered to Liverpool for £7 mill.

JJ86

Bs
i would love it to happen but it won't

13 Jun 2012 16:11:41
Liverpool transfer news on twitter reporting that football Uruguay are sayin Liverpool showin most interest in gaston Ramirez and barca have quoted Liverpool 7 million for tello

I wish that was true, bit proberly not

I wish.

13 Jun 2012 16:02:22
Why does nobody want Kalou?

For a free signing he could be a bargain, his goalscoring record at chelsea ain't that bad either. If we can negotiate a wage deal that pleases us i think he would be a decent signing...

Two words. Joe Cole !

Deal or no deal ?

No deal !

I think it's bad news if we're considering everybody else's chump change. If he's for sale, their getting rid for a reason. {Ed002's Note - He is not "for sale" - he is out of contract. By your reasoning Liverpool would never buy any players.}

Because he offers nothing we don't already have

GET REAL

Because he's rubbish, if he's ever scored it's only because he's had some very good players around him, and if this is the best he can do at the age of 26 and after six years in the Premiership I don't think think he's going to get any better.

To Ed02, my reasoning is that if we keep buying everybody else's cast off's while they replace them with quality, we are not going to catch our rivals in the league or otherwise. {Ed002's Note - Kalou is not a "cast off" - his contract ran out. Liverpool should be looking at every purchase to be an improvement on the squad - and I am sure they are.}

As a first 11 player no, as a squad player absolutely. How many right wingers do we have currently? it's a good deal on a free as long as his wages are reduced.

Because he is below average, lazy and very little end product. Biggest strength he's quick and were not putting together an olympic relay team.........

Chelsea sign our rejects, not the other way round!

All moaning about other peoples cast offs - but some people want Adam Johnson a City cast off perhaps - difference is Kalou has actually won things and been successful. This site is full of dreamers, anybody thought he is only surplus at Chelsea because they have spent ( or spending ) upwards of 90 million on replacements - Hazard, Marin, Hulk etc

No no no. why don't we just buy a good winger. keep playing suarez and carroll and not buy any more squad players as that will halt the development of some younger players

"why is nobody interested in kalou" - reply: because he isn't very good.
"I think he would be a good signing" - reply: i don't
the wise one

We've just sold a dutch international with 90 caps for 800,000....we are about to sell a 20 million pound player for 3 million pounds. It's about time liverpool started making good deals in the transfer market and started making a profit on players. Thats reasoning in mind Kalou would be a good addition to the squad.

Well he is good enough to play in a Champions League Final.. While AVB was at chelsea he was a surplus but since RDM has been incharge he has been one of the key starters for them. At this moment he would start for Liverpool as a RW/RM or LW/LM, thats a fact. Worst case we would need quality squad rotation if we will be in the Carling cup, FA cup, EPL and Europa League.

I think kalou is terrible but for some strange reason he always ends up scoring! Its one of those things that really puzzles me

I have even to Chelsea several times this last season and Kalou is a player in end result terms like Luis Garcia - frustratingly bad ball control, loses the ball way too much, drifts out of the game for long periods, but pops up for a few goals. Was mostly brought on as sub. Not highly regarded by sane Chelsea fans. Ditto Sturridge.

Grayswood

We buy your cast offs?
joe cole ,glen johnson?
maybe kalou and sturridge
case explained

13 Jun 2012 16:00:33
Hi, Eds. Just wanted to make sure that Gylfi Sigurdsson will be joining ? Great site keep it up :D {Ed002's Note - It is by no means certain yet.}

13 Jun 2012 15:59:59
I am a Celtic fan but Liverpool is very much my second team. I have watched every minute of Victor Wanyama's first season in the hoops and can tell you that he would be an excellent signing for Liverpool. Rumour has it that a bid of around £7million will be enough to secure his services and that is a snip for a player with enormous potential, if he was playing in a top league he would easily cost double that amount. He is powerful, strong, fast and has great composure and confidence. He is plays in a similar style to John Obi Mikel but I firmly believe that he will go on to be a much better player than him. However, I think that he may go on to become a centre half and has all the qualities to do so, his physiqe and size have led to comparisons to Marcel Desailly. Victor would provide the perfect base of a midfield trio alongside Lucas and Gerrard

I'm a Liverpool fan and Celtic are very much my second team. Agree with everything you have said, by far the best player in the SPL last season. At only 20 years old he will be a very good signing. Heard those sc*m bags Utd were looking at him though?

KB

I agree he is an absolute beast. very powerful and strong. has good tackling and drops off well.

13 Jun 2012 15:41:30
Hi eds is there any interest in el shaarawy of AC looks like he could become quality in the future

Really appreciate all the work the eds do I don't no how you cope with the same questions constantly being asked.

Cheers

Eastern red {Ed002's Note - PSG and Cologne have an interest in El Shaarawy but I think he will stay a while longer at Milan.}

13 Jun 2012 15:34:24
ed i have a couple of questions, firstly what position is drenthe, a left back or a winger? secondly is he on a free this summer? and lastly would/do we have any interest? {Ed002's Note - He can play in both positions and is available this summer. Liverpool have had the opportunity to move for Drenthe in the past but somehow I doubt there is interest right now.}

Thanks ed!:)one last question i swear:P do you think we could sign olsson as a cover left back and if not, who do you think we will look at as robinson looks as if he will go out on loan?(ive searched it and cant find a thing) {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Olsson and LB may not be a priority at this time.}

13 Jun 2012 15:50:46
eds, been seeing a lot more talk about kalou to liverpool,, I PRAY that this is not true please tell me that this is just speculation and not a potential signing... he would be a waste of money might as well put jay spearing as our striker {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Kalou from Schalke, Newcastle and Galatasaray. Previously Olympiakos approached Chelsea with an offer to take Kalou in January but the player has no interest in a move to Greece. Marseille did make an enquiry but the problem would be wages. If that could be resolved it could provide a solution that suits everyone. Interest from Liverpool is not out of the question.}

Kalou will not be a waste of money because hes free {Ed001's Note - he does still get paid you know! Even if he was free and playing for free, it would still be too much to pay for him anyway.}

I for one will be happy to see him sign for Liverpoool. 7 Premier League starts last season and 1 goal. A vast improvment on Kuyt and Carroll!

13 Jun 2012 15:47:33
Do you Eds think that with laudrup going to swansea this might tempt sigurdsson. {Ed002's Note - It will depend if he is interested in taking the player and then what he has to offer up in terms of his plans for Swansea.}

13 Jun 2012 14:56:06
Eds, any truth regarding Berbatov to Liverpool? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it.}

HHAHAH i almost wrote "like Owen to Man.." Then realized it happened...

No no no !
cr

Yes he will sign next ten days

We don't need any more smokers thank you-

13 Jun 2012 14:52:36
Hi Eds - great site first of all & thanks for your efforts.

My question - are LFC interested in Fabio Borini? He did well at Swansea and now at Roma - is Rodgers after him? Thanks {Ed002's Note - He worked with Rodgers at both Chelsea and Swansea so there may well be interest. However, I would not expect Borini to return to England this summer.}

13 Jun 2012 14:45:16
I've heard we may be looking at Juan Angel Albin of Espanyol if we dont get sigurdsson, would be a good choice in my opinion, although he missed a good bit of last season with a leg injury and Espanyol may not want to sell him just yet.

Levon 69

13 Jun 2012 14:11:14
what do you guys think of a possible move for Marvin Martin of France? Think he would move to us ed's? Also, ive heard whispers of a possible return to the club for Momo Sissokho.. dont think hes worth a punt myself but just what ive heard.

Red_Sebastian {Ed002's Note - Dortmund, Lille, Lorient, Valencia, Fenerbahce, Arsenal and Anderlecht have enquired after Marvin Martin, but it seems very likely that the Socheaux player will move to Lille.}

13 Jun 2012 14:04:04
hi eds if i remember rightly liverpool were linked with blascykowski of dortmund a couple of seasons back,would there be any interest now,hes not a definate each week for dortmund however i tink his value could go up abit after the euros. {Ed002's Note - There is no known interest from Liverpool in Blaszczykowski.}

13 Jun 2012 13:43:53
Hi Eds,
Watched Honda of Japan and CSKA last night play australia in world cup qualifier. He was excellent and would be A great long term replacement fo Gerrard. Is he available? He was mentioned last year. What is likelihood. Thanks {Ed002's Note - Try the search function.}

He is a totally different type of player to gerrard, that is a ridiculous suggestion

I am from the great southern land also and Honda was absolute class. While he is quite different from Gerrard, he played in the hole and was immense. He would ceratainly thrive in a tika taka environment.

AK {Ed001's Note - Honda's best position is behind a striker, and he is top class.}

13 Jun 2012 13:40:16
I have a rumour for you all what's flying round Wigan at the moment and I only live in ince Wigan witch is about a mile away from the dw
Is that liverpool have bid £4 mill for victor Moses don't know how reliable it is but that's what's going round so don't shoot the messenger
Cheers

Ince is 4 miles away from the DW. plus, what relevance does this have?

Isn't victor Moses available on a free this summer? {Ed002's Note - No.}

What relevance does correcting the distance from 1 to 4 miles have?

The original post stating the distance of Ince to the DW is, I agree not relevant.

However the reply staing Ince is 4 miles from DW not one is relevant as it highlights that the original poster is trying to use geography to some how legitimise his post and make it more believable. the fact he can't get that right only serves to suggest the whole thing is made up.

If you are going to lie or make things up you need to be at least accurate in what you put.

The relevance in correcting it was that it was incorrect!

Its the same guy who posted this who post some daft players all the time always using some suspect story to back his wild claims up then at the end always says don't shoot the messenger

13 Jun 2012 13:38:48
Hey Eds,

sly have reported today on Gaston Ramirez:

****The 21-year-old's agent, Pablo Betancourt, revealed at the start of the month that Manchester City, Wolfsburg and Juventus were all interested in securing his services, while Liverpool have also been linked.****

Ed005 said @ 2:30 this morning

****Apparently Liverpool have had a bid of £13.6m rejected for Gaston Ramirez. You heard anything Ed?

Cheers
Aussie red {Ed005's Note - Heard nothing mate.} ***

Have you guys heard anything new about this yet?

Much love =D
Josh LFC {Ed002's Note - Betancourt did not mention Liverpool.

As I have said previously Gaston Ramirez has been watched by Liverpool but I still remain unsure as to how strong the interest is from the club but would not be at all surprised if a push was made to sign him. He was available in January for about 15M euro plus a signing on fee - but Liverpool did not follow up on their initial enquiry. They will not now listen to offers less than 18M euros. However, Ramirez will move in the summer with interest being shown by Napoli, Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Palermo and Juventus, who have made a firm offer. Unsubstantiated rumours suggest Manchester United, Spurs, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested. Sevilla were interested but I understand that Ramirez has no interest in such a move. Discussions took place between Bologna and Manchester City - adding to discussions that have taken place with Juventus and Napoli.}

Ha ha ha

So. Here is what I am hearing.

Pablo revealed 3 Clubs interested and meanwhile, somewhere else, and in a completely unrelated incident, a fella down at the local told someone at sly that he heard liverpool are going to sign Gaston Ramirez.

Heck, I am convinced

Elia would be cheap and still 25, worth a risk I think ed? Also kjaer being sounded out if srktel is to leave. Spearing is to leave with a chance that Adam will go to. Hendo to be given more of a chance in centre midfield, and expect one other centre midfielder to come in, any chance of lassana diarra ed? Great site well done {Ed002's Note - Elia looked certain to move to Valencia a year ago with Liverpool and others considering the player too expensive. He decided to stay in Hamburg and then took the option of a move to Juventus over Newcastle - but it has not really worked out and Juve were willing for him to make a move on loan in January with, I expect, an option to buy. Everton, Hertha Berlin and Newcastle had apparently shown interest and his representatives were looking to place him in a northern European side where he would get a regular start but nothing came of it. He will be available this summer but the only firm interest right now is from Benfica and Genk.

Anzhi made a very significant offer for Diarra and Roma could not realise their interest although the player was open to a move to Rome. This leaves Galatasaray as the likely destination for him unless an offer comes from PSG or, possibly, Spurs.}

Why would liverpool be interested in a player who hasnt performed at any club he's been at...another ryan babel..i wouldnt touch him with a barge poll

13 Jun 2012 12:09:33
hi eds any possibility in getting Gotze from Dortmund he is amazing or Ozil from Madrid, on twitter he said the only team he likes in the UK was Liverpool {Ed002's Note - No chance of Goetze. I don't see Oezil necessarily being available in the summer but there will be no shortage of interest from England and Italy if he is, not least Inter Milan who bid against Madrid to buy him originally, and Juventus. Whilst he had what was seen as a very good season last year, this season has been patchy at best with a lot of time on the bench. Real Madrid may listen to offers in the region of 25M euros or so.}

This isn't fifa mate... Sorry.

13 Jun 2012 11:55:16
Eds, is it true the star of the Euros so far, Alan Dzagoev of Russia is available on a free at the end of the year? Thanks eds {Ed002's Note - Yes. His contract runs out in December.}

That doesn't mean he will move, players don't care about transfer fees, only clubs, so his contract will most likely be renewed in Moscow, and will be a hefty truckload of money every week too i'd imagine.

13 Jun 2012 11:54:12
Eds, If Glen Johnson leaves would there be any chance in getting Mathieu Debuchy? {Ed002's Note - There is no known interest from Liverpool at this time. Debuchy is of interest to Valencia. This was their Plan B to the stalled Van Der Wiel situation. AC Milan, Manchester United, Newcastle, Bayern Munich and Palermo have also shown varying degrees of interest.}

13 Jun 2012 11:41:07
BR is said to be looking at Lewandowski of poland also said to be looking at Gebre Selassie of the czech rep to replace johnson. watch this space. {Ed002's Note - Why would Lewandowski leave the German champions and Champions League football to join Liverpool? It seems most unlikely.}

What a loada sh*t, u just picked 2 players who are playing well in the euros and made a terrible rumour out of it.

Red John

German champions who cant hold on to their players to join a team who has shown serious ambition which is illustrated by the vast amounts of money they have spent rebuilding their squads

Money talks!

Euros fever

Dont see what all the fuss is about

Why would he sign for Liverpool Ed2 well with us still being a massive draw in Europe and the fact that we have a real opportunity to put a very successful project in place and being part of that project with the magnificent fan base we have plus the real possibity of creating history and being very well paid, enough said.

Why wouldn he ed 02 we are liverpool a bigger team than dortmund and chelsea for that matter {Ed002's Note - I am not sure what it has to do with Chelsea and have no idea how you measure "big". Let me know when he arrives.}

Big draw in Europe? Is that why every big manager and player are falling over themselves to sign for yiu lot? Brandon Rogers and Sirgudson...huge names in football right?

He'd leave because we could offer far more money than Dortmund. And because the English league is held in higher regard. Oh, and Dortmund are losing their best players whilst Liverpool will always be a huge draw. Need I go on?

Riedle left Dortmund for LFC when they were champions of Europe. (With Mr. Paul Lambert running the midfield, taming Zizou in the process)

You still don't seem to get it ed002.

We are Liverpool.

BJH YNWA {Ed002's Note - I cannot see the relevance of something happening 15 years ago. We will know I am wrong when Lewandowski arrives then.}

13 Jun 2012 11:36:56
is there any chance of signing cavani {Ed002's Note - None.}

Yes there is a chance, there is always a chance what because he is decent Liverpool cant get him and other decent players

13 Jun 2012 11:27:52
Hi eds. Do you know if LFC have had Yevhen Konoplyanka of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk scouted? In my personal opinon a player LFC could benefit from.

Regards -red norwegian- {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Konoplyanka but none I know of from Liverpool.}

Manchester Evening News says Liverpool, Sunderland and Everton will battle it out to sign Adam Johnson this summer. Is the MEN as reliable as the Echo or is it just paper talk eds? Any truth in it? {Ed002's Note - If he is available at the right price then Liverpool may be interested.}

Everton could never afford adam johnson and if man city want £15m + for him i doubt sunderland would either with wages to add on as well out of the three clubs only liverpool could buy him and he would choose us above them as well

Been hearing alot that fellaini wants to play champions league football if not champions league then europa league and wants to still play in england, is there any interest in him from liverpool,

Also, wanted to know if liverpool are looking at vaclav pilar the czech, looks a good player would be a really good signing.

Thanks! :D {Ed002's Note - There is no known interest from Liverpool in either player.}

Your some scout you are.

Pilar the little guy whos just signed for Wolfsburg I think?

ED's I believe that Thomas Mueller would be an awesome addition to LFC if we could attract him. I understand that we may have trouble attracting him but if we did what would you quess would be his transfer fee and wage demands?

Also, do any of the Ed's know whether or not LFC has looked at him at all? He has complained of riding the bench at Bayern recently so it seems that he maybe open to a move. Thank you for taking the time to answer this question. {Ed022's Note - Liverpool have looked at him a few years back, there is no interest in him as of right now.}

I have 9 disagrees with my question and I would honestly like to know why? Do you not rate him or just don't think it is possible. I have been watching him for awhile and he is one of my favorite players in attack. He is just fun to watch.

There is just no way it would happen. He plays for a club he loves, the fans adore him. He'll be playing Champions League football next season. He'd cost £30M+. NO NO way

With Rangers going pear shapped, there is a strong rumour about that BR is looking to snap up Steve Davis and also Alan McGregor as back up to Pepe. Have you heard anything with regards these moves Eds? {Ed022's Note - No, last I checked Davis was Everton-bound as they've held talks regarding a switch.}

Shagger wouldn't play second fiddle to Reina when he could go to another team and be their number one

2 Best players at Ipox depending how much could be a bargain .
Macs a good goal keeper ,but hes a bit mouthy with refs players etc to many bookings ,sort that out he would be an asset

Davis is a very neat an tidy player great engine could do worse.
The step up to the premiership thats the difficult question, hes better than Shelvey , Spearing and Adam give Hendo a run for his money Aqua not coming back they would be a bargain.
Both of them for £10 -£14 Million would be a good bit of business IMO

Both players wopuld be allowed to leave for free when Rangers set up the newco so £10-14m for players you could get for free would be terrible bussiness. Nevermind the fact that they are awful.

Rangers players. i'd stay right away from them. they could attract loyalist fans here. soon you'll hear sectarian chanting from the kop

Hi Eds, a few of you are saying that Glen Johnson is fairly likely to leave or it would not suprise you if he left, is this more to do with the level of wage he is on as oppose to his playing style?...as I am sure his style of an attacking fullback with good technique is something that suits rodges style of play.

Tnx {Ed001's Note - yes.}

Obviously his wages are a problem. Ed is it likely that Liverpool could negotiate a deal with him ( same applies to joe cole ) into a lower wage or he would be told he would be sold. Has this ever happened/worked before? {Ed002's Note - He has a contract - he is not going to negotiate a lower wage.}

To me seling Johnson is just false economy. If we get someone in to replace him who doesn't hit the ground running, saving half his wages or so won't have been such a great idea. To me it's a big risk, and one that we don't need to nor should be making. He's a quality player, and Rodgers himself stated in an interview how highy he rated Johnson. Here's the direct quote -

"Defensively... you've got Glen Johnson who can be the world's best right back, he can bomb, he can run... I know Glen from my time before [at Chelsea]."

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

Is a RB on our radar then ed? I don't suppose Isla has recovered from that injury has he?

VM YNWA {Ed001's Note - as far as I know we are still looking for one, Isla should be capable of passing a medical now, though I don't know if we have maintained our interest in him.}

The right back of the czech republic Selassie looks very good could be worth a punt

Adam Johnson rumours are starting again, somebody told me that John Aldridge spilled the beans at a prize giving in Dublin last night that his £15 million transfer to Liverpool is imminent.
Now I for one don't know how John Aldridge knows the ins and outs of Rodgers and his transfer targets but thought I'd share this with you as Johnson hasn't been mentioned for at least a day.

Thanks

Red Dave

I'm not too sure about this. I mean, sure he has experience and looks just like rush but surely he's too old. Plus, 15 million is 20 times more than what we paid for him before. ;)

Wanyama and Elia would be excellent signings and give the squad depth and options on the bench, both young and talented for very different reasons. Wanyama is powerful and would be great cover/competition for Lucas and Elia has great pace and is able to deliver good ball in from the wings aswell as cutting in, more tricks than paul daniels! Gylfie for 7mill is great price and a striker coming in would make next season very exciting

What do the EDs make of the rumours around Wanyama and Elia? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Wanyama. Elia looked certain to move to Valencia a year ago with Liverpool and others considering the player too expensive. He decided to stay in Hamburg and then took the option of a move to Juventus over Newcastle - but it has not really worked out and Juve were willing for him to make a move on loan in January with, I expect, an option to buy. Everton, Hertha Berlin and Newcastle had apparently shown interest and his representatives were looking to place him in a northern European side where he would get a regular start but nothing came of it. He will be available this summer but the only firm interest right now is from Benfica and Genk.}

How do you know?

Wagamama - isn't that a restaurant chain? lol

I'm convinced there's a competition on for people to post the most spurious of names on this site! I must be out of touch as I literally have no idea who he is :(

hi eds, what do you reckon will happen with the likes of suso, sterling, coady and wisdom. do you think they will be loaned out or given some first team play? do you think if they dont they will move on? hope not they alll look future stars.
regarding transfers, are we interested in :
james rodriguez (porto) ?
jordan rhodes (huddersfield)?
mauricio isla (udinese)?
matias suarez (anderlecht)?
{Ed002's Note - A couple of the kids will go on loan. There has been interest in Isla (but he won't be moving to Liverpool) and Suarez.}

This is Anfield reporting that Kalou's agent has stated he is in discussion with Liverpool over a transfer.

SCF27

He said nothing of the sort, he said he would be interested, have Liverpool FC confirmed they are interested in him ?

GET REAL !

Why don't you read it properly instead of jumping on your high horse. This is Anfield are quoting his agent, not me. You are on a rumour site, and this is a rumour, nothing more.

I don't know how your stick at it Eds, fair play to you!

SCF27

13 Jun 2012 09:49:43
Solomon Kalou Would consider Liverpool FC according to his agent but no contact has been made. Think wages will be a problem here. Pops

There is no problem. we dont want him.

Kaizer

Wages and lack of ability are both problems. We've already got enough average players.

13 Jun 2012 09:20:07
Hello Ed's , i just read an report that Salomon Kalou's agent has said kalou would consider moving to liverpool , my question is there any genuine interest in him from Rodgers and if so who is a bigger chance of joining liverpool , adam johnson or salomon kalou ? thanks {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Kalou from Schalke, Newcastle and Galatasaray. Previously Olympiakos approached Chelsea with an offer to take Kalou in January but the player has no interest in a move to Greece. Marseille did make an enquiry but the problem would be wages. If that could be resolved it could provide a solution that suits everyone. Interest from Liverpool is not out of the question.}

Clearly not good enough for Liverpool

GET REAL

Well he to be fair he can put the ball in the back of the net, somithing in which were lacking in, i think we should take him but only on a free

Or this could just be Kalou's agent trying to stir up more money in the wages negotiations?

Agent Handbook Frequently Asked Questions -
Q. What do you do if the preferred new club is stalling on wage demands?

A. Pick a high profile club and link your player with that club. This acts as a warning to the club that you might take your player elsewhere and should mean they will hurry up and agree your terms.

13 Jun 2012 09:12:42
Hearing rumour of Luuk De Jong preferring a supposed move to Benfica.

13 Jun 2012 09:06:42
Surely Diame is not good enough for Liverpool.
If he were good enough he'd either still have a contract at Wigan or been snapped up by a better club?

What are your thoughts on Diame Eds? Thanks {Ed002's Note - He did not want to sign a new contract for Liverpool. His options seem to include West Ham and Malaga.}

Why turn down us for malaga or west ham shhh, this guys got issues lol

I've seen diame play a lot as I'm from Wigan and personally I think he is world class, he has a heart condition which requires a defibrillator to be on the pitch side at all times and that's one of the reasons they haven't renewed is contract and why Liverpool will not go after him

Ed do you mean wigan when you typed liverpool in your above answer?

Killerpool {Ed002's Note - I did.}

Good let west ham have him, he's not good enough for liverpool dont care what anybody says he's simply not good enough, people said charlie adam would be good because he was good for blackpool... WHO WENT DOWN... not good enough for us.. we need top players from top teams... people forget we are LFC does that not say enough?

Your just saying he's not good enough because he played for Wigan. Surely he's a better option than Jay Spearing.

Why compare him to spearing? there both bab, we want better than both of them put together simple as just cus hes better than spearing it doesnt exactly make him good.. my god

So you want to buy a world class centre midfielder to sit on the bench.....my god

13 Jun 2012 09:03:56
Hi Eds, slightly concerned that sigurdsson is talking to Swansea before deciding future. Do you think they could persuade him to stay there or is the possibility of playing for Liverpool too good for him to turn down {Ed002's Note - It would be guesswork to say. His ties to Swansea are much stronger than Liverpool of course.}

Sigurdsson will talk to the new Swansea Manager out of respect to the club, as BR recommended he do.
It sounds like he is leaning towards Liverpool, but obviously that could change after talks with the new Manager.
I imagine the pull of playing for Liverpool and to be able to continue working with BR give us a very good chance of signing him. Time will tell however.

SCF27

Cant see a problem, surely any ambitious player wants to go to a club that can challenge for trophies and play in Europe. No disrespect to Swansea but obviously LFC is a step up for him and BR brought him to Swansea.

Solomon Kalou open to Liverpool FC move but no contact yet insists player's agent

13 Jun 2012 08:26:58
Saw this just now on the BBC (football website):And more on Gylfi Sigurdsson to Liverpool today - a move that has grown increasingly likely since Brendan Rodgers switched to Anfield.

Wow that phil mcnulty is really up with the news....lol!

13 Jun 2012 08:26:22
seen reports on TribalFootball that we might be looking at Victor Wanyama. Don't know anything about him. Any good? Is it Likely?

-- TheChojin

Wanyama, is a strong player can play mid and centre defence at the age of 20 defs on for the furture. he would remind you on a Essien type player. Personally i think he would be worth a punt on him

He has done well in the SPL but in all honesty it is nothing to go on. he strikes me as a strong and commanding midfielder quites similar to song of arsenal

13 Jun 2012 08:09:48
Ed is there still interest in susaeta and Mathias Suarez? {Ed002's Note - There are a number of clubs interested in both players and Liverpool have shown an interest in both. I don't know if interest will be sustained under Rodgers or not.}

13 Jun 2012 07:26:35
Hey Eds just a quick question, has Jordy Clasie been watched? Seen a little bit of him play. Looks like he could be a future star. cheers {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in the player.}

13 Jun 2012 07:47:15
Hey Eds,
Are Liverpool interested in Dzagoev (spelling) the young Russian looks a great young talent.

Thanks
Scousered {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

13 Jun 2012 07:41:54
Hi eds. Just wondered what you think chance of Adam leaving are? I have heard some of you mention that he may go. Although he didn't have a great season i was surprised, purely as he has only been with us a short time and lieklyhood is we would lose quite a lot of money from transfer fee. I don't know how much he is getting paid but guess we would lose out financially even if salary high?
Also, do you Downing may go? I have heard you also mention Johnson going. I don't see it myself but wondered likely destination to date
thanks for all your good work and helpful stuff

gareth
{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of plans to sell him at this time.}

13 Jun 2012 07:37:56
Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson will join Liverpool in a £7m deal but not before the 22-year-old has offered Swansea the courtesy of meeting their new manager.

BBC GOSSIP

So this is one signing tied up by the looks of it, next..

So the BBC report the Daily Mirror story and you believe it's all tied up...jeeeez! {Ed022's Note - Are you all aware I said these exact words about one-week-and-a-half ago? If you believe it's purely coincidence then fair enough, and if you want to act surprised then I'm very worried about you lot.}

Michael laudrop is there new manager good appointment for swansea

13 Jun 2012 06:40:16
if g.johnson leaves, do u think we'll buy a replacement or kelly will step in?

Have to sign another as would need cover for Kelly. {Ed002's Note - What about Flanagan?}

I cant see johnson leaving to be honest, even if the ed's disagree. Why would B.R want to sell an england international who is proven in the premier league and take a risk on someone else? i know the ed's say his wages are high, but its not B.R that is paying them so i dont think he will be to concerned about that. Just my opinion anyway, time will tell. keep up the good work ed's

Hi eds, any chance for havard nordviet from mochenglabach? {Ed005's Note - I don't think a player in his position is a priority at the moment mate to be honest.}

13 Jun 2012 04:24:26
"But I know for sure he wants to move away from England. This could be our chance." - Huub Stevens; When asked of the chances of Shalke signing Salomon Kalou.

Good we dont want him

Van der vaart has expressed his love for spurs and has stated that he has no desires to leave even though his wife (sherrrr-wing) works for german t.v, yet the shalke manager has said van der vaart would jump at the chance to move? the guy has a lose cannon for a mouth!

Think about this:
Many clubs interested in him, then shalke manager lies about Liverpool, the small clubs give up, and it is lot easier for Shalke to sign him up

13 Jun 2012 03:47:27
Ed since gylfi sigurdsson is expected to sign, what wud happen to Charlie Adam since they have similar positions? Wud he be moved on the bench ,sold? {Ed005's Note - They don't play in similar positions. Sigurdsson is an attacking midfielder who plays in the hole whereas Adam plays centre-midfield. I think there is a chance Adam will leave, especially if another central-midfielder is signed.}

Ed005 I really hope your right about the possibility of Charlie Adam moving on, he's awful

Completely different types of player.

Kenny actually played adam out of position when he was doing well for blackpool he played cam or cf

Adam never played cf. He was in the middle of a trio of centre mids. This means that he wouldn't need to put much work in defensively because the whole team was built around him. However, at Liverpool, he wasn't the main player and was required to do defensive work, but he couldn't handle that. This wasn't mostly Kenny's fault. Also if he played CAM, how would he be able to do those 'hollywood' (long range) passes if hewas so far up the field.

13 Jun 2012 03:08:37
hi eds any interest in david texiera? think will be a massive player in the future so think would maybe be worth buying him and loaning him out to a smaller pl team if he could be bought cheap enough {Ed005's Note - There was but doubt there is anymore.}

And what makes you think that he is going to be massive in the future? Because he is an Uru?

He could easily end up on the flops crapheap like many others.

No not because of where he does or does not come through but because he has bags of potential. idiot

13 Jun 2012 02:46:38
hi eds do you know of any interest in moritz leitner from dortmund from any teams? dont know if liverpool would be interested or if he would even leave but from what iv seen of him liverpool should definatly enquire about him {Ed005's Note - There is no interest in him mate and it would be hard to attract him to Liverpool.}

Just what i thought tbh but worth being optimistic i suppose cheers anyway keep up the great work

Ed002 and ed005 seem to say liverpool couldn't attract players from dortmund. yes dortmund are champions but the german league is nowhere near as good as epl. liverpool is a club with great history and supporters. i understand not being able to get cavani but moritez leitner (spelling) cmon! {Ed002's Note - Please can you point me to where I said that Liverpool could not attract players from Dortmund - or are you simply making things up?}

You said its there is no interest and hard to attract him to liverpool Ie about leitner

13 Jun 2012 02:36:28
i think Brendan rodgers is going to buy young BUT i really hope he makes one bold move and get David villa if not try to get him on loan pay them £5m plus his full wages for one season. {Ed005's Note - Nearly £6m for the year's wages, with a £5m fee and potentially other fees? Over £11m for one season for a 30 year old who has been out for 6months? Why not just add a couple more million and get someone like Luuk De Jong for the long-term?}

Its not like that ed. i get your point abt villa being 30. but still he is DEVID VILLA. a proven legend. can easily go 2 yrs more n if drogba can do it at this age so can villa. de jong no doubt a great talent , but chances of villa doing good is more than him .
the fact is we are in a bit of difficult situation , we need someone like villa to get us in that top 4. then the whole transfer scenario will change ..buying the new talented blocks has one problem that if they dont give the results they always have other teams waiting for them...we will keep on buying players like carroll, de jong ,,talented but needing time to get the result . n after the time gaining more experiance they will move forward
it looks good for future but we need to built the present . teams like manu or city, madrid can buy a 20 yr old talented guy. coz they have the ronaldos ,n silvas to keep them up there n give time to the young talents . we cant do that .

we need to sign players which would bring us forward in near future like in 2 yrs in top 4.. then we can build on that. {Ed005's Note - And he has been out since December with an injury, meaning it will take loads of time for him to get fully match fit, added to the fact that he would be coming into a new league, a far quicker league, a more physical league, a more intense league and the likelyhood is that he may have lost some pace. Even if he wasn't injured - he would need time to adapt at the peak of his career. Difference between Drogba and Villa is that Drogba is a beast of a player with so much strength. It isn't worth the financial risk.}

Are you sure you havent been running rangers?silliest post of the month

13 Jun 2012 02:34:06
hi eds what do you think of martin olssen? he is desperate to play top flight football and would be perfect cover for enrique as think robinson needs a little bit of time to learn his trade could buy olssen and loan robinson out to blackburn {Ed005's Note - I personally like him and think he'd be a decent option down the whole left side. Would make a very good squad player but can't see it happening, I think our attentions will be focused in other areas.}

He's a decent player, I think he's better on the left wing though rather than at full-back where he makes occasional errors.

News on our ground. I guarantee there's going to be no new ground. I'm 100% certain Anfield is being redeveloped and a hotel will be built on the land created by Alroy and Lothair roads. Main stand and Anny will be massive. It should be announced by the club before the end of the month, but knowing the way we work, it'll be announced the day after the buiding work is finished ;) The remaining residents in those streets will all find out at a meeting next monday in Stanley Park and it'll be all over the papers on tuesday.

Sean.

Heard exactly the same from a very good source, including details of the hotel chain in question, as well as other partners in the process and details of new housing to be built on Walton Breck Road, although consultation with local residents has been minimal, to say the least . . . {Ed002's Note - If anything like this is going to happen planning permission will be required and it would be in the public domain. You would do best to consult the local council's web site.}

The council only give them till the end of june to make their minds up.

Hmmm, same as Ed002.
According to the Council's own plans, they're to do street improvements on one side of Lothair Road though it looks as if the other side may be demolished.
Where would a hotel's parking go ?
Can't see it, sticking a hotel on the end of a residential terraced street.
But I agree with the principle, there would definitely be the demand for a hotel or two. Which, I am sure, the club would like to own and get income from.
The Real KB

Sounds like a very good idea to me.Better than building a new ground !

Baz F

And where am I gunna live?

Ed002, that's good in theory, but the club don't need to apply for planning permission yet. The residents woud imaginably be up in arms if the club started appying for planning permission on their land wouldn't they? The club are simply making the purchases of the properties conditional on getting the requisite planning permission to demolish the houses and change usage. The preliminary discussions have already been held with the council though, and I have been told that the club have received assurances that the planning permission will be granted. Liverpool's legal department are working like trojans at the minute to ready all the offers to householders and tenants that wil be made next week. Local councillors the Dowlings have already spoken to residents on both Lothair and Alroy, and I know this for an absolute fact. I'm not going to say "trust me" or "you heard it here first" or any of the usual BS. While I'm not concerned whether anyone believes me or not, I just thought I'd let people know what I do, and I'm confident it will happen. The ony spanner in the works is if any owners won't sell, but the cub have been assured that this wil ony deay things because CPO's will be granted.

Sean. {Ed002's Note - I am sorry but the council cannot give assurances that the planning permission will be granted - they would not doubt be out of work very quickly if they did that.}

Maybe I should have said the council have given indications that the future planning application will be treated favourably, or welcomed, or whatever else you want to call it. Of course they won't give guarantees that would be legally binding and leave themselves open to a lawsuit. However, councils are allowed to give an indication to potential applicants about the viability of their proposals, and this is what has happened. Yes, my original point may have been bady worded, but I can guarantee that's what has happened. As I've said, all I can tell you is what I have been made aware of by various parties. The redevelopment wil happen, and the hotel will be built in exactly the areas I have previously stated, namely the junction of Alroy, Lothair and Rockfield Road. Whether anyone chooses to believe it is a different matter. Time will tell, and in the very near future too.

Brian Dowling is my councillor and getting any truth out of him is bloody impossible.Either he won't tell anybody anything or he's too thick to understand what's going on and that too is an absolute fact!

hi eds do you think there is any chance of debuchy from lille? looks like a tidy player not saying there is interest or anything like that but johnson looks likely to leave and think this player could replace him {Ed005's Note - I think Johnson may leave in the Summer and if he does leave then I'm sure Debuchy may be looked at atleast given that he is turning into a popular player.}

I really hope so debuchy looks like he could be a big player and hopefully liverpool can get him before his value goes up even more or before a team like city or chelsea decide to bid for him

Probably the ideal replacement but I hope Johnson does not go.

13 Jun 2012 01:40:15
Lfc to sign soldado I.ballaghue was on spanish radio interview and said Rodgers has him as the number one target to lead the attack. De Jong is secon choice unless Suarez is sold in that case both will be approached. Eds is this true and if itaybe how does this guy know so much bout lfc.

Macca if ur out there please let us know about actual targets.

Cheers

Waq {Ed005's Note - It is true that LFC wanted Soldado under Dalglish and Comolli - whether that has changed under Rodgers is a different matter however I don't see Rodgers going off him. He's what we need at the moment and I hope we do eventually make a move.}

I agree, if the Sigurdson rumors are true and we can add Soldado then I think we could be very good next year. A front three of Sigurdson on the left, Soldado in the center and Suarez on the right could be deadly.

Dont think soldado would make it in the prem, doesnt have the pace in my opinion. Would just turn out to be the next morientes

Read somewhere that he was going to the Spuds.

Hi Ed's
Would it be a good idea to maybe try and get Mascherano back from Barca? He doesn't get much time but will know the similar game style that Rodgers wants to use. That extra experience and class could be so valuable and maybe we could get rid of Adam. {Ed005's Note - It would be excellent only because of his ability. But he did treat LFC and the fans like dirt at the last mate. His attitude stunk and he didn't play well for a good year. For that reason and lack of respect I don't really want him back. It wouldn't happen anyway though.}

Since when did Mascherano treat us like dirt? He gave nothing less than 100% in every game he played, even though he wanted a move away. If most of the players we've currently got had Masch's attitude, we'd be significantly better off.. {Ed005's Note - 100% in every game? Don't make me laugh. The Summer Barcelona came in for him we didn't let him leave and he had a strop all season and didn't put in half the effort he used to as he simply wasn't interested in staying at the club. That rubs off on the team and it was the wrong attitude to take. He treated the club like dirt.}

Doesn't get much time?! He started almost every game for them last season.

Kieran

He did dedicate his champions league final win over UTD with Barcelona to the Liverpool fans though. Love to see him come back.

Wouldn't want him back even on a free transfer.

His commitment was phenomenal in every game, don't be blinded just because he wanted to move to a bigger and better team. He could've forced a move like Alonso or Torres, but he stuck with us for another year and I've no doubt he gave his all.

Are people forgetting the opening game of the season against Arsenal? When he didn't play because he was demanding a move to Barcelona?

I don't actually hold a grudge. The best team in the world wanted him and he wanted to go there. But he was a contracted Liverpool player being payed amazing wages to have the privilege of wearing our shirt.

And he didn't play in that game against Arsenal because "his head wasn't in the right place"

Enjoyed his time at the club, fantastic player and best of luck to him. But I'll keep Lucas thanks.

Joe

Is it true sigurdsson is going to sign or has signed see it on bbc web site.

Any truth in it eds? {Ed005's Note - All I knew mate is that Sigurdsson's reps are to meet with us soon - I think it'll be a good week-two weeks before anything happens in terms of bids or contract discussions but if it happens sooner, then great. Still think we'll get our man though.}

Hi Ed's

Is there any interest in Stevan Jovetic and Jordy Clasie?

Dan {Ed005's Note - I think there's a chance of that fella Jordy Claise if we're interested and he fits perfectly into what FSG want. Jovetic has apparantly been told he can leave Fiorentina this Summer and I'm sure we'll be interested at the right price mate but whether we can fend off top clubs like AC Milan, Chelsea etc. is another matter.}

Aqua and 15m would be a nice offer. Fiorentina wanted Aqua so here we can work a deal. Suarez can play uptop and Jovetic beneath him. That being said unlikely i believe

Jovetic scoring ratio is simply not good enough for us therefore I think that we wont go for him.

Thanks Ed005, it would be good if we got both players, they would be excellent additions to our team.

Apparently Rafa wanted Jovetic when he was in charge as well.

hi eds, do you think that there were liverpool scouts watching the czech republic greece game? because Theodor Selassie looked top class at right back and somewhat reminds me of johnson {Ed005's Note - I don't know mate, but I wouldn't judge a player based on one match.}

Completely agree with Ed on that one. I mean the Ukraine game the other night made even Voronin look good!

I completely agree, you shouldnt judge a player on only one game but based off czech republics first two games he may be somebody just to keep an eye on.

Plus he looked absolute trash in the previous game anyway!

Hi eds, great work patience answering the same repetitive questions to some extent.

Just wondering what your views are on 'a striker who can find the back of the net with good movement' that you think we will sign?

Also is it that the domestic transfer window is open from 1st June and international 1st July?

Cheers

YNWA {Ed005's Note - For me, realistic players who fall into that category would be Luuk De Jong or perhaps Roberto Soldado.}

Ed(any); Would you say that david villa is realistic, i know he is 30 and fsg only want to invest (the kind of money it would take to get him) in young players but he is without a doubt a goal scorer for club or country

I'd imagine fsg would be happy to build a squad capable of competing at a top level ASAP.

with him you would eliminate the worry of whether we'd get goals because he creates them but more so has a high goals to games ratio and can finish with any part of his body.

Barca would make him available i think and we have Carroll so no need for a tall target type player as with the style BR is going to use we need mobility and players who can without question play to that style of football. {Ed005's Note - I don't think he is realistic.}

Just my opinion but I think that jermaine Defoe should be looked at, I think he could be a 20 goal a season man, just what we need. If we offered him first team football could he be lured eds as he does not get much at spurs? {Ed005's Note - I'm sure he could be lured mate. I like Defoe and I would certainly accept him at Liverpool if we couldn't get other players. I think his age and wage demands could put us off.}

Personally do not want defoe. Don't think he would give us 20 plus goals a season unless he played every game and that wouldn't happen.
Seems like nice bloke and true footballer but always thought he is too inconsistant, but then i could be way off?

gareth

I have been saying on here for so long it`s not funny that Defoe is just what we needed. He is the fox in the box and with the amount of chances we were getting last year he would have filled his boots.! Granted he`s far from the best fottballer in the world but he does score goals.
Matt b

What wages is he on 50k,60k? {Ed001's Note - more.}

Wage demands since when did spurs pay more than us get real spurs salary cap is 65k {Ed001's Note - no it isn't.}
