Di marzio reporting we have interest in Sergio Romero. What do use think of him? Better than mignolet? What's he like?

nothing spectacular, probably not better than mingolet either but a very good back up!

Agree1 Disagree0

He's great! Hope to see a fellow Argentinean with LFC shirt again. In Brazil WC he was thought to be a liability because of his lack of gameplay in the earlier months at Monaco but he proved all wrong and did excellent.
He was very close to joining benfica a couple days back but the transfer didn't go though in the end

Agree1 Disagree0

Not necessarily an upgrade on Mignolet, who is younger and "better", but a VAST upgrade on Jones (disclaimer: I like Brad, but that's my opinion). He's built like a basketball player, proven too

Agree2 Disagree0

Decent keeper but not the solution imo. Can be flappy and lack confidence at times.

hi eds

ive read that man city have to sell or let go of players . the 2 names mentiones are scott sinclair and john guidetti, have we ever had any interest in them and would we go in for 1 or both of them thanks in advance

Believable6 Unbelievable36

{Ed001's Note - seriously? No.}

Scott Sinclair? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, is if April 1st already?

Agree1 Disagree1

Hi ed001

i thought john gudetti was supposed to be ok, maybe that was a few seasons ago, that's why I put it on the rumours site is he not that good ed,

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he had potential but he has never shown any sign of developing.}

Sooo funny! Those two have spent that much time on seats that they're basically cushions

I have heard we have enquired about Arda Turan for 10mil plus lucas? Any truth?

Also Suso is apparently part of the Moreno deal.

Kolo Toure has told Sport Ivoire that he turned down the chance to join Trabzonspor: "I have expressed my pleasure at being a LFC player."
"I am a competitor & I decided to stay at Liverpool. However, the situation can change at any time but I'm here.". looks like he's staying.

Believable68 Unbelievable15

Shame. Thought with calamity Kolo off we'd finally give Ilori his chance

Agree9 Disagree2

Good! .

Agree1 Disagree1

When's his next birthday?

Send him a cake from Trabzonspor.

Agree3 Disagree0

Actually I'm quite happy that Toure is staying. Agger for sure was not going to stay on as 4th choice CB. Toure as 4th choice CB gives the squad good experience. And next year when Illori comes back from loan we have a ready made replacement ready.

Agree2 Disagree0

Nothing wrong with kolo at all! Happy with him at 4th choice, he's more comfortable on the right, and most of his mistakes came when he was playing with skrtel. He's still a good centre back and he seems passionate about LFC!

Agree1 Disagree0

Fence, you don't think trabzonspor are offering lower wages by any chance?

morning ed's n reds, have to say I'm ecstatic about Moreno finally been agreed. just a quick question for ed001 if he's around, I read this morning in the local rag that ilori might be going to Cardiff on loan. you heard anything of the sort? cheers

Believable13 Unbelievable15

{Ed001's Note - I hadn't but I will ask around.}

I hope so - would be invaluable experience getting loaned inside the UK, experience I don't think he is ready or is going to get with us just yet

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi ed, did you manage to find out anything regarding this? thanks for all your hard work regardless

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I believe Cardiff have someone different lined up, Morrison or someone from another Championship team, Reading if I remember correctly.}

Thank you ed, appreciated

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - PSV and Bordeaux are the most likely destinations right now - Deportivo was on the cards but is not any longer.}

Liverpool looking at Seydou Doumbia

Believable11 Unbelievable59

Don't know anything about him, yet I'd hope for him over Etoo

Agree1 Disagree1

He was great on FIFA 13, but then so was Lamela.

Agree2 Disagree1

Wouldn't mind him he's a goal scorer

A local northwest news website has said that Sulley Muntari was spotted in Formby on Saturday night and it has speculated over a possible move to Liverpool.

Its hardly a reliable source (and I use term 'news website' very loosely) but I thought I would share the speculation for the enjoyment and criticism of others. :)

Believable4 Unbelievable81

Really? Surprised as BR would have seen him up close against AC in preseason. He was awful.

Probably Everton's Marquee signing.

Rumours linking us with a bid for Boruc as back up to Mignolet.

if he leaves saints, it will because he dosent want to be number 2 behind forester. so I doubt he will go Liverpool to be 2nd keeper

Agree2 Disagree0

Wouldn't be terrible

Agree1 Disagree0

To you sir, only £15m! A real bargain. LOL

Hai Eds and Reds

Banter please

Liverpool in for a second round talks with Etto with the player wanting a 135k per week, One year contract.
Papers reports

Thoughts.

Believable19 Unbelievable57

Posted yesterday I would welcome him. Not on those sort of wages though!

Agree2 Disagree0

So he was willing to move to Ajax on 35k a week but wants 135k a week for us? Did you get this rumour from viz?

Agree6 Disagree0

Even his agent knows that he will be lucky to get half of this, if not a third, in his age, but you can always start high and you never know, if we or Everton or someone else are desperate for a striker someone may offer him 100K a week. I would have paid him 13k rather than 135K a week (still huge salary) plus 50K for every goal plus 25K for every win achieved when he is on the pitch plus big trophy bonuses.

Agree1 Disagree1

You have got to be kidding me. My rubbish detector is ringing

Agree1 Disagree0

Hoping this is a joke

They would undo what has been a good summer by signing him imo. Can Ed002 confirm whether there is any interest?

Thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am aware that his representatives have spoken with Liverpool. I am not convinced it would be a good move for the club, but he brings experience and, of course, goals.}

He also brings a pension book, bus pass and meals on wheels. I'm here all week!

Agree3 Disagree0

I'm not sure on the E'to signing tbh. I was hoping for Bony personally, but wherever E'to has played, even at Chelsea he has a 1 goal every 2 games ratio, which given the chances we'll create again this year, sometimes you just need a clinical finisher. If it was E'to and one other striker in when Borini is sold, then it would be fantastic business. Just E'to and I'm not convinced.

Agree1 Disagree0

My spelling of Eto'o wasn't too clever either

Hi Eds

I was wondering if you knew the status of Jose Enrique? Is he likely to stay or go? Also would the departure of either Kelly or Johnson possibly change this?

Thanks for all your great work.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - there has been no interest in taking him so far, so it looks like there is little choice but to keep him. The departure of Smith on loan had far more to do with his status.}

Enrique is a good player who will give Moreno competition for the left back spot and will also help Moreno settle in at the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001 Are you living in Dubai Now?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes mate.}

Kelly going to Palace for 1.5 mil. I think Palace are getting a great deal although he wouldn't start for us anyway. Injuries have really hurt Kellys prospects at LFC he's now 24, I still remeber when he came into the team as a 20 year old and wowed everyone as an athletic right back, who could defend!
