Any chance of isco arriving at anfield at all eds? Does he require CL in your opinion? {Ed002's Note - It is not an option at all.}

I'm just sharing what David Kidd of the People has wrote in the paper and claimed and stated in an interview which went public on the 26th of February, he thinks Chelsea have agreed to signed Isco on a pre-contract meeting Isco's £30 million buy-out clause and if it wasn't for Malaga still being in European competition during the transfer window, Chelsea would have took him in January. David Kidd also thinks the Malaga manager Pellegrini will be a very good shout moving to Chelsea next season as well.

Isco is apparently very happy to sacrifice himself for the sake of Malaga club and fans.

Tom Hopkinson of the People, also claimed in January that Chelsea were trying to take Isco then, but Malaga were not willing to let him go until the end of the season.

Who knows? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea do not have any pre-contract agreement for Isco. The ongoing discussions involving both Chelsea and Real Madrid were with a view to Malaga having an advanced payment in order to pay off a very significant debt, or at least part of it, that needs to be dealth with this month.}

Hi eds, just wondering if any interest was shown in the either Fernando muslera (gala), and the promising German youth alternative of Zieler. Both obviously for GK. {Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool.}

Hey eds hope you are all doing well!

Just a quick question as it is not a topic that has been covered too much of late.

I know it is quite early to say with any certainty but do you know of any potential free signings that could be potentially an option for the summer window? Have we shown any interest in any players recently who's contracts are running down etc?

Cheers eds any response would be appreciated. {Ed002's Note - Rumours persist about Iturra. I cannot think of others.}

i was thinking about who I could see BR making approaches for in the summer, could these be available/ realistic? thanks.

Thiago (Barca)
Bojan (AC)
Giovinco (juve)
Ben Arfa (New U)
Rojas (victory)

Thiago imparticular I think would really suit our style of play and would be a class signing at the right price.
all the best eds :) {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of Rojas, the others seem unlikely.}

Thiago is a great player. Doubt he would leave barca tho. Think he signed a new contract last summer or after the u-21 euro's. Would be my choice too.

Where do you get this s***?
Giovinco? Really? He's finally back home, he will be going nowhere! Bojan is a petulent little bee sting of a human and Thiago and Ben Arfa are supremely over-rated. Rojas is of course a possibility, as he is for many clubs throughout europe, big and tiny clubs alike.

Hi ed's is it true that we have agreed to sign Manuel Iturra? {Ed002's Note - I don't know, sorry.}

12 Mar 2013 19:19:37
You'll probably think this is a stupid question, Eds. But rather than asking whether Liverpool have a shot at getting them/are interested. What do you think is likely to be enough to get these players' clubs to sell:
Jovetic (Fiorentina)
Turan (Atletico)
Sakho (PSG)

An answer, as trivial as this might be, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks {Ed002's Note - Try the search engine.}

Reports are saying that we are close to finalising a deal for Iturra from Malaga.

Hey eds,

What do you think our chances are of signing Keishuke Honda? Read a lot about this and it seems apparent that he's leaving in the summer.

Also who do you think are interested in Aubameyang and if WE were how much would he cost?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - Liverpool were very interested at one time but may have blown their chance of Honda in January 2011 when he was available for about £8M. During the mid-season in Russia, Wolfsburg and Juventus were interested in Honda but the player said he wanted to move to Spain and the 25M euro asking price put them off. Last summer we saw enquiries for the player have been from Lazio, PSG, Sevilla and Palermo. It seems to be the longest running of the Liverpool (and Arsenal) related "rumours". Honda was close to leaving last summer with a move to Lazio only failing at the last minute and I understand that Lazio would still be interested at the right price. He has had a bit of a strange season in that he has been scoring goals but his performances have been criticised - which seems to have put off Dortmund who have taken a recent look. Valencia have shown interest recently and would like to have him sign a pre-contract in the summer but I imagine the player will wish to see what options are available. I am told that interest also remains from PSG.

After a year or so St Etienne Aubameyang has attracted the attention of Fiorentina, Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Zenit St Pete, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Spurs and PSG, probably amongst others. He has said in the past the one day his dream would be to return to play with a great Milan side. I understand that if a significant bid is made that St Et will give it due consideration. Such a bid is being pondered by Chelsea and by Fiorentina, and I suspect Manchester City will look again as an alternative to Jovetic.}

Ed002 do u think vorm is a possible buy this summer for lfc? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has not shown any interest as far as I am aware.}

12 Mar 2013 19:32:42
I'm afraid vorm won't be cheap, if we had to pay 18M for Allen then Vorm will be out of our reach especially when swansea are doing better this season and more happy with their new manager and just won a trophy. Don't forget we need to sell players in order to buy which makes more difficult to buy players in excess of 18M or above, will be looking to buy players from 6M to 10M range in my opinion.

Thank The Lord no interest in him.

Hi ed's we've been linked with lot of defenders from vrij, sakho, Williams, zambrano to name a few. but in your opinion who's the most likely to end up at anfield. {Ed002's Note - It is far too early to say who the "most likely" to turn up would be.}

12 Mar 2013 10:54:46
hey eds, any chance of Simon Kjaer coming in in the summer? seems he has a good understanding with Agger {Ed002's Note - Roma did not take up the 10M euros option to buy Kjaer in the summer. Lille and Metalist enquired but it went no further. He had a major issue with Wolfsburg's Magath but even though he has now gone Kjaer is looking to leave and a move to Genoa beckons.}

Also he has been unimpressive pretty much every club match since moving to Wolfsburg and probably wouldn't play for Denmark if they had any other options

He's not better than Skyrtel, Kelly or Wisdom so would be a complete waste of 10m.
We could buy another Coutinho or Sturridge with that money?

Liverpool are intrested in bringing xabi alonso back to anfield but it could cost them upto £15m.

12 Mar 2013 17:22:05
Not a chance

15 mil for a 32 year old with 1 year left on his contract? that makes perfect sense

Gerrard is playing the Alonso role and his stats are unbelievable. Plus we could get someone like Inan for less than 15m who can play 2 or 3 roles in midfield. Liverpool fans really need to stop harking back. Rafa, Alonso, Torres - I was a big fan of all of them but we need new heroes. Read An Epic Swindle and Brian Reade ( a lifelong and passionate Red) puts some of the blame on our decline on a blind belief in "The Liverpool Way" and Scousers over sentimental view of past managers, players and ways of doing things. He says Shanks always looked forward and would have been horrified withe way the club clung onto outmoded ways of doing things. I agree. let's look to the future, not the past.

FSG will be searching for the next xabi alonoso mate, as he's simply to old and doesn't fit our transfer policy of young, good potential and above all reasonable re-sell value. Try looking at players like Benat (real betis) etc. ;)

That post bi Kidda is quality. Plus ill check the recommended book out! Thanks

Hi ed's do Liverpool have any interest in Jeremy menez. {Ed002's Note - I suspect speculation right now - and certainly not an immediate priority.}

12 Mar 2013 08:45:16
Kevin strootman to Liverpool {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and Liverpool took a look at Kevin Strootman last season but tentative enquiries were met by a reluctance to sell so soon after arriving. His performances have attracted further interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Valencia, AC Milan, Schalke 04 and Hamburg. However, for now I expect him to move to Manchester United or Milan in the summer.}

Haven't watched him much, but I did watch the Feyenoord-PSV match and I wasn't too impressed. To me, De Vrij, Janmaat, Mertens, Lens stood out. But it's only one match, I know.

Strootman will require CL, something of a slim chance for us fellow reds ( hard to take I know but its the same with eriksen etc. 0

Are the Sofiane Feghouli rumours true? {Ed002's Note - Whilst Valencia's Sofiane Feghouli was stalling on signing a new contract in January, his agents were scurrying around looking for interest in the player as leverage or as an alternative to Valencia should he be sold. A number of high-profile clubs were approached to see if they would be interested in the player but it would be nothing but speculation on my part to suggest serious interest of not. Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool and Southampton (and probably others) were invited to take a look at the player but he was to depart for the ACON. However, Paris Saint-Germain has made more than one approach for the player but were told that he is not available. Since then a new contract has been agreed with Valencia and if they were to sell in the summer because of financial difficulties then they would look for a couple of teams to be keen enough to push up the price - otherwise they will look to hold on to the player.}

We don't need many more of those kinds of players

Hi eds, do you think Sahko of PSG is a realistic defensive target, he seems to be on the bench a lot and can't see him breaking up Alex and Tiago Silva, I think he'd suit the Premiership, he has the physical presence, he's quick and can pick a pass, thoughts?
- Rookie {Ed002's Note - Arsenal and Lyon have sustained interest in Sakho and there is growing interest from Newcastle, Inter Milan, Manchester City and possible interest lingering interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. PSG are not keen on selling but I think there is a good chance of a summer move as we move toward some significant changes at a number of clubs.}

Arsenal are cheap they won't get him. when they had a chance to get him Wenger said he wouldn't go beyond £13m (Arguably the best French CB right now)
