ed001 or ed009 Do you see suarez leaving in the summer? {Ed001's Note - it has been very possible for a while, really depends on how he finishes the season.}

It depends how he finishes the season meaning if he plays bad he's gone I will always follow lfc no matter what but we have s**te football team {Ed001's Note - actually I was more thinking about his behaviour and if he plays well it is more likely he will go. We aren't going to give him away.}

ed any chance of us signing alonso back been watching him this season for real and he's been brilliant? {Ed002's Note - I would assume not.}

Good one. Maybe Kenny will dust his boots off as well

Looking at the the facts...

- Real don't need to sell
- Real don't want to sell
- Real are a bigger club than us
- Alonso is first choice in his position there
- After tax players earn a lot more in Spain
- Alonso is Spanish
- We're not in the Champions League
- Alonso will cost a lot in wages and fee
- FSG don't pay out for older players

I love the guy but our best chance of seeing Alonso back at Anfield is as a coach. {Ed001's Note - Real do need to sell to buy. Tax has risen in Spain to comparable levels to the UK. But I agree with you, he is not coming back, unfortunately.}

The past couple seasons Real and Barca seem to have been in towering amounts of debt but have bought anyway. I just assumed their banks don't care anymore ^_^

Had no idea the tax thing had changed though. {Ed001's Note - SPain is on the verge of following Greece mate, the Spanish govt can no longer afford to bankroll Real Madrid.}

I think it is highly comical the abundance of idiots who refer to Alonso's age as a step back for the club. Face it he's better than anyone else we have in the Mid.

I wasn't saying Alonso's age would be a step back, and he's a brilliant player. As i said quite clearly FSG's policy is not to shell out for older players, they will pay a lot for those in their mid twenties and those with "sell on value" but the only player over 30 they have brought in was Bellamy. He was on a free and imo was our best signing of the summer, but at the time i didn't think it was going to happen and was very surprised when it did. Such is the level of the owners commitment to their policies. Comolli's adoption of these "Moneyball" like strategies was probably the main reason he was appointed to the director of football role.

I have heard that Suarez will be leaing the club in the summer. He apparently got his head turned by Real Madrid in the Jan window but was told there is no chance but the recent events have made him available at the right price. Let's face it, he could go for £30m quite easily, and that would allow a couple of good players come in the other way. There will not be any others leaving though, apart from the loanees.

Whilst i agree suarez will probably go, no one else though (apart from loaned players) which players are these? certainly smells like b.s, billy b.s

Id hate to see suarez go for 50m,how many other players excite you like luis,not many,

say he didnt go abroad and came back to haunt us like nando hasnt,evryone has said sorry now,we dont play the scum till next season,come next season all will be well,
take no notice of whiskey nose,going on about handshake,he ignored the bbc for 7 yrs ,hes a good example,not,if we let luis and kenny go the mancs have won,i say keep strong luis and kk and come back and haunt saf,with a bit of luck he may be not with us next season,hes getting on now,

30mil and you are satisfied with this price? We got him for 24...6 mil profit are you mad?

Sadly given that he has ruined the repuation of every european club he has played for I think 30m is the most realistic figure. Dont forget, he forced a transfer from Groningen to Ajax using the legal system, he then bit someone at ajax and we all know the incidents here.

The fact is that Liverpool arent in a good position IF its decided he has to go then clubs will try and take the michael

"Couple of good players" eh?
Like Bobby Zamora and Billy Sharp..?

Suarez is kicked out and I boycott my club til we see the backs of NESV.
Its what any true Red would do.

Charles enzogbia! My god how far as our club gone backwards its scary,arnt we ment to go for better players than what we already have?

Kp

He is better

Liverpool have dropped way down have you not realized this after twenty years of no league title?

Liverpool are still good enough to win cups but can't sustain a league title as the strength in deep needed to win the EPL is beyond their financial reach.

Under houlier we won cups, under "the devil" we won cups and under Kenny we'll prpobaly win at least one cup maybe more if he's not sacked in the summer.

However wakey, wayey without stevie for the last 14 years we would have got nothing, no cups nothing and stevie as exceptional as he is cannot bridge the gap to top the EPL its just too big not even Maradonna in his prime (swapped for stevie) could have done that.

No I am not a UTD supporter just an honest Liverpool one, we have swapped american owners and even got better owners but they are still as financially bereft as the previous administrations were those who think otherwise are livng in a fool's paradise.

Modern day football is all about money and we just don't have enough!

100 Millions to the sheik is buttons just chump change, 100 M to Henry is a considerable amout of money and over one sixth of his fortune.

So long wish lists of players just aint going to happen in the summer remember the january window we were not swamped by new signings were we?

ITs a long hard road back top to the top and one we only have a realistic chance to see again if the Financial fair play rules are implemented with no loop holes for sheiks or russian oligarchs.

Eds who do you think have got the most chance of leaving us in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Aquilani.}

Suarez

12 Feb 2012 18:51:20
Hi, eds

If i remember right, weren't Villa in for Joe Cole before he went to Lille, do you know if there's still any interest, especially with the underwhelming N'Zogbia? I think Cole should be given a second chance, he's done well for Lille but I think that's unlikely. Cheers, RedAl {Ed002's Note - Villa had an interest in Cole and I guess they may have an interest in the summer when he moves on.}

12 Feb 2012 18:30:30
Any chance of Steve Nicol coming in ?

Hopefully. I think he would prove to be a a valuable and versatile member of the squad

Nah he's too old now! - TMac

More likely than half the players posted about here ^_^

12 Feb 2012 17:45:14
Hi Ed002,
if I'm not mistaking, LFC were considering bringing in N'Zogbia at the start of this season. He seems to be unhappy at Villa Park so maybe it would be a good idea to bring him to the club.

Excellent, another dubious winger from Aston Villa...as if we don't have enough troubles at the moment

GOOD IDEA?? It might be a good idea for him to think about going to Middlesborough or West Ham to get them up and rebuild his career. Liverpool - are you serious...

Carroll and Nzogbia don't get along and if you believe the rumours Carroll battered him allegedly and that is why Nzogbia left Newcastle in the first place.

Unless Carroll leaves Liverpool I can't see Nzogbia joining.

Gaz1975.

Well put it this way I'd rather have N'Zogbia than any of our wingers now. But many will opt for players like Erikson which lets face it ain't going to happen.

think there will be plenty of bargains at end of season with regard to relegated teams hoillett . if wolves go would deffo take fletcher hes a goalscorer scored great goal today . anybody else got any names.

alan waddle

Chris Eagles, James McCarthy and Victor Moses all look solid

MansfieldRED

Makes sense lets go for the Champions League by buying players who couldn't keep teams in the Prem! Have a minute

Eagles and Moses no way!

Think hoilett will be heading to north london

Matt jarvis from wolves , well better than downing

Yeah players who play in relegated teams are a waste of money, just look at Scott Parker, Charlie Adam, Sebastien Bassong and Stewart Downing.

Scott Parker has been great what you on about

Someone's clearly never seen a Spurs game! Parker's been superb {Ed009's Note - It was a sarcastic response to the comment which said "Makes sense lets go for the Champions League by buying players who couldn't keep teams in the Prem! Have a minute".}

12 Feb 2012 17:13:58
Hello Ed002,
I know it's been said many times before - Adam Johnson would be a good alternative as a winger. But he is getting his playing time lately at City. Ed, do you think that Coates will get some games in EPL this season? {Ed002's Note - I think Coates will get games if Agger or Skrtel is injured, rested or suspended.}

12 Feb 2012 17:08:06
eds do you think there is any chamce of getting eden hazard next season if liverpool do qualify for champions league? thanks {Ed002's Note - No I don't; it is most unlikely that he will move to Liverpool.}

It would be great if we could get him, 4th place would be a minimum requirement though. Most of the top teams have players similar to Eden, but I think he's going to be better than most. Let's get that 4th place first, then at least there might be a possibility. I'd love to see him at Anfield..

12 Feb 2012 17:05:13
Hi ed sorry for the questions but do you feel Suarez could have helped his cause to stay by apologising if he doesnt do anything stupid between now and the end of the season. Also Isla likely have we enquired and woud he be intrested in the move? I think hed be a great addition and really hope we sign him. Sorry for the questions. Thanks, great sight eds you really do a top job.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed002's Note - Personally I don't see Suarez being at Liverpool next season. There is certainly interest in Isla from Liverpool' Roma and Juve - but he is now out until, probably, the end of the season.}

More yonks killing our club. the fans and luis have been spat at again. ( i suspect luis was spat at on the pitch if u look at the clips).

if things don't change in a big way it will be rip lfc.

john henry and co, you are cowards and have betrayed liverpool fc and its fans

there's only one luis suarez!
oh and lots of manc-loving liars!

Hi Ed002, why do you think Suarez will go?
Cheers!

RedRoche {Ed002's Note - Suarez' position is untenable. His actions have gotten the club in to a very embarrassing position and I really don't see it as viable that he stays next season. Dalglish's decision to include Suarez in the squad yesterday and to play him has completely back-fired making matters much worse than they were.}

Suarez must stay fergie fears us building a good team round him i just think this whole episode with evra is getting blew out of proportions fergie wasnt calling time on cantonas utd career when he hit a fan was he .

The Yonks have not let doen the fans, its the FA that have let the fans down.
One mans word against another for a 8 game ban, Cantina (spelling) only got 6 for a flying kick on a spectator, but then he was playing for the Manc's {Ed002's Note - Cantona had a six month 30 some odd game ban.}

Yeah, and cantona was given a 2nd chance by the club after the worst incident in the history of the premier league, why would lfc act any differently in a situation which they clearly to this day still disagree with suarez's conviction. in the club's eyes his only misdemeanor was to not shake hands! hardly contract shredding material.
and no one called for peter schmeichel to leave after race allegations from ian wright?
and no one called for roy keane's tenure to end when he refused to shake patrick vieira's hand due to their hatred towards each other?
i totally disagree with ed002 in regards to suarez having to leave.
if the club want to progress on the pitch then players like suarez will need to be at the club. tevez, adebayor, drogba, roy keane, ian wright, john terry, wayne rooney and peter schmeichel....all these players have previous indivdual issues but have been essential in a collection of trophy winning squads.
you have to take the good with the bad
s.p

The people "killing our club" are employees of LFC who have no understanding of media and public relations, and think everything is someone else's fault because "they" are out to get us.

All the while, we play dire, defensive football and can barely score.

Several people will be shipped out of the club at the end of the season. I have no doubts about that.

I agree with S.P Fergie is a hypocrite he says Suarez should never play for LFC again yet he allowed Cantona back after the infamous kick. I don't think Suarez is totally innocent in all of this at all but I do think Evra is partly to blame, he admitted to abusing Suarez as well which came first the chicken or the egg or in this case Suarez or Evra. I think the club and Suarez need to put this to bed now and concentrate on the rest of the season.
SA

Surely the damning apologies that totally blamed Suarez of lying to Liverpool (Manager Chairman etc.) has left his position untenable.

If we aggree with SAF opinion about not allowing suarez playing for iur belove

12 Feb 2012 16:55:01
Eds if Suarez leaves like many people expect him to do you think LFC as a brand can attract a big name player just to replace him considering we most probably wont get CL and also due to Suarez's case....Thanks Eds for ur patience during the last 24 hours or so to make up with all the rubbish posted {Ed002's Note - Thanks. Liverpool is one of the best known clubs in world football and will have no problem attracting players. Perhaps not having Champions League football will take some out of the equation, in the same wasy as the cost of some players will mean they will not make the move. But I don't see attracting players as being an issue right now.}

We couldn't attract shxx. Cowardly, bullying owners ( vs Luis). Never a net spend. Owners there purely for profit. Won't even accept an investment from the fans. Goodbye NESV, it wasn't nice knowing you!

Perhaps unnamed poster you should think about the money that FSG spent to keep our club in business. Or perhaps you would prefer that we had gone bankrupt?

I disagree a little Ed002, while we wont have truoble attractinbg players I think given the recent publicity and a lack of Champs League (possibly) would rule out any world class players. Any world class player will either already be playing for a champs league team or he will be being followed by one.

I suspect that ifwe fail to make champs league our transfer policy will likely be to find youth players or hidden gems. The market will be a difficult place in the summer I think.

Nevada {Ed002's Note - What I said was "perhaps not having Champions League football will take some out of the equation" - I don't see the recent publicity doing that.}

My apologies, I shouldve read more carefully.

Dont you think that the club publicly criticising a player will have an effect on potential players? I wouldnt want to work for a company that makes public statements about things discussed in private.

Dont get me wrong I would probably have grudgingly shook Evras hand but if I didnt, I would not expect the club to publicly state I misled them. How can any player now believe the club when they say that whats discussed in private will stay that way?

Nevada {Ed002's Note - The club is in a damage limitation mode and is trying very hard to get over this issue. The problem will not be what the club says about the players.}

12 Feb 2012 16:28:17
Not a rumour but only a question, I've noticed that Pedro isn't playing at barca, I'm not sure if he's injured or has been dropped, if he has been dropped we should make a move for him but I guesse it depends on whether we get cl football? {Ed002's Note - His buy out clause has gone up to 150M euros and he is playing regularly - although he has had a short while out injured. He was due to play yesterday as well.}

He played but was taken off

Barcelona are ridiculous with contracts and prices. Pedro Isn't worth £20million!

He did play yesterday, but was poor in a 3-2 defeat by Osasuna. One player whi did catch the eye was Dejan Lekić who scored two goals in the first half to give Osasuna a 2-0 lead.

Sorry Dejan Lekic - keyboard problem

12 Feb 2012 15:33:43
Just out of interest Ed are you saying you believe that Suarez will be sold in the summer because you have been told by a source that this is Liverpools' intent or are you making an educated guess
N.I Red {Ed002's Note - Take it as an educated guess only.}

12 Feb 2012 14:29:28
Ed as it stands it looks likely Suarez will be gone in the summer, kenny has defended him to the hills and I'm sure would disagree with the choice to sell (if it does happen) can you see him walking if Suarez goes? Suarez has apologised and I'm sure wants to stay at the club.

Square tomato {Ed002's Note - I would expect Suarez to go and no doubt Mr Dalglish and the owners will have much to discuss at the end of the season.}

Well lets not speculate

Lets be realistic..Suarez's name has been tarnished in English football. Liverpool's reputation has also taken a battering so it makes sense if he were to leave. Would love him to stay but it might be in the best interests of both parties for a transfer abroad. Think the owners want their own man in charge as well at some point. They had no choice but to give Kenny the job after turning things round last season. But with no ECL, i think the new owners will look towards a new manager.

Would like to say that even though it goes against me to say suarez should have shook hands with evra yesterday to nput the matter to bed instead the papers will have a field day with this and drag it out till summer

The owners have gotten their wish, they didn't want King Kenny, it was the fans choice.
Starved him of investment during the January window, hey presto he fails to get 4th pace.
Kenny backed his player on a sticky wicket, the owners didn't. simple really, Kenny will be gone in the summer,

I agree that no spending in Jan bodes ill for Kenny. But given what we bought in the summer, can you blame the owners?

I am sick to death of our beloved club being dragged through the mud. YES mistakes have been made by SAUREZ, DALGLISH,FENWAY. Lets get one thing clear Suarez was not found guilty of rascism. He was hungout to dry by a kangaroo court. Had this been handled fairly by the FA we woud not be in the situation we are now.
1. FA chose to believe Evra, and DID NOT punish him for his instigation of events and his blatant contravention of FA's own regulations, had he been given some form of punishment,which should have been the case, Saurez and Liverpool would not have been so aggrieved. Instead Suarez has had to shoulder all of the blame and has been persecuted by the media in particular and the general public.

2. Saurez has a tarnished past but so has Evera.

3. Liverpool were wrong to wear the Suarez t shirts.

4. Suarez told Dalglish he would shake hands with Evra and didn't, this made Kenny look foolish. Suarez was wrong.

5. Should we sell Suarez because of this - NO. We should give him a chance to put his wrongs right.

6. I still genuinely believe that there is a witchhunt out for Suarez. He has to take full responsibility for his actions. Having stated this, should I be in Suarez's situation and I was 100% sure that I had been unfairly accused of racism, treated with contempt and not given a fair hearing, which consequently has a profound effect on his footballing career and his personal life. WHY SHOULD SUAREZ SHAKE EVRA'S HAND. Hell would freeze over before I did this and I admire him for standing by his convictions. BUT HE SHOULD NOT HAVE TOLD LFC THAT HE WOULD SHAKE EVRA'S HAND, then fail to do so.

7. Our PR has been shocking and LFC need to address this immediately.

8. Kenny has supported Suarez throughout and no doubt feels badly let down by Saturdays events.

9. Fenway should have set the wheels in motion immediately to address the situation when it all began. By not doing so they have let Suarez, LFC, the manager, players and fans down badly. This is their first test and they failed miserably. Hopefully they will learn from this.

10. The media have fanned the flames and not once have they published an article form the aspect of WHAT IF SUAREZ WAS TELLING THE TRUTH. They have just hung him out to dry. Shame on you, but we all know the meaning of the word gutter press.

11. I am not even going to discuss Evra, Ferguson and Uniteds part in this as I don't need to spell things out.

12. Louis Suarez now needs to let his football do the talking. He can rise above and learn from this as can LFC.

My final opinion, for what its worth, if I was accused of something and was innocent and given all the facts in the ridiculously long official report. Louis Suarez should take out a Civil prosecution against Patrice Evra. It is the only way to clear his name and to make Evra accountable for his actions too. Saturdays game also spoke volumes to me regarding Evra's actions and Fergusons comments.

Do Not Go Luis,seek justice, then we can all move on. The genuine LFC fans are behind you all the way YNWA, although some of your actions have been impulsive,
misguided and wrong, thats life, but you must learn from your past mistakes.

I HOPE SUAREZ STAYS AND KENNY IS NOT FORCED TO SELL HIM, SHOULD KENNY BE FORCED HE WILL WALK TOO.

I would value Eds opinion. Have never posted before but needed to get this off my chest {Ed009's Note - I would agree in as much as the whole issue has had far too much onus put on it. Suarez stopped anybody from being able to move on with his refusal to accept any wrongdoing. Regardless of whether he is the bad guy in all this he should have shaken Evra's hand. He has now, belatedly, apologised and we must move on with him, and allow his football to do the talking again.}

12 Feb 2012 10:02:03
Ed002,
you think Suarez may leave, maybe KK will too, Kuyt, Maxi, Johnson, Doni, Aurelio, Cole, Aqua, Pacheco, Amoo. Not sure about others like Downing, Shelvey, Carroll and Agger. I don't know what will happpen with Craig. Are we in for another eathquake in the squad, just like last summer? A few changes are needed, but shifting off another great bit of squad will surely not help the team to get stability. {Ed002's Note - You are correct that shifting large numbers of players will not help with stability. However Doni, Aurelio, Cole, Aquilani, Pacheco and Amoo are not really part of the first team squad and have in some cases already been replaced. Kuyt and Maxi are older and will likely fall victim to the continuous improvement. Isla has been looked at and will likely replace Johnson. As for Suarez, the club could not of planned for the events of recent months but I see his position as untenable. I would be surprised if he were playing for Liverpool next season.}

Hi there, unless i've missed something i don't see how you can say his position is untenable. he's served his 8 game ban which people in the club seem to think he shouldn't have had, so thats done and dusted now. as for yesterday all he done was not shake someones hand, that doesn't seem like much of a reason to leave the club. there's other players have refused to shake hands because they dont respect someone so what makes suarez so different ?

Exactly. he has no respect for evra, he lost 8 games due to his word and the supposition of a group of idiots. if it was any other team it would not be so highlighted. bridge didn't shake terry's hand , so what, his choice. also ferdinand did not shake suarez's hand, but that's ok because it's man utd ? double standards or what ? the media obsession continues with liverpool and i love the way kk handles the interviews, brilliant. as for ferguson, keep your nose out of our club's affairs, it's none of your effin business !!

Because wre upsetting the mighty man utd (FA)

Why would Johnson leave? He appears to be happy to me and signed an improved contract/ contract extension last year? I watched a bit of Isla yesterday for Udinese and he played behind the striker (Di Natale) or had a free role. He was wearing the number 3 which would imply that he was a fullback (LB) and I believe he can play in a number of positions. I really like Johnson and belive he has continued to improve and played extremely well at both RB and LB. Would be gutted to see him go....

Well Kenny stood by him through his post match interview and as Macca not so long ago pointed out Liverpool are sticking by him because they felt Evra was not truthful in the events that happened. Suarez feels hard done by so why on earth should he shake someones hand he doesnt want to? So why would we sell him now? Ride the storm and stand by our player.

Firstly, this isn't a rumour, and secondly, if Luis Suarez's position is untenable, despite never having faced a legal charge in connection with the Evra incident, then presumably John Terry's position must even less tenable.

Red Owl

If FA, as they say, dont think Suarez is racist why have they not tried damage limitation by repeating that stance and try to contain the tribal actions of the fans of other teams rather than just make us look tribal and inflammatory. If Evra, as he says, doesnt think Suarez is racist, shouldnt he feel the whole situation has gotten out of hand and try to minimize it rather than acting out the way he did.

Suarez is a disgrace hopefully we offload in the summer to madrid or somewere like that. He dosent score much anyway!

Suarez? a disgrace? wow. shows how much some of the fans know. do they even watch or hear what go's on behind the scenes? i do not know all but football is life and i look into behind the scenes. any one who watched teh game surely would have found out evra is a control freak.

he needed a hand shake to feel secure and say I WON. when that did not happen he tracked him down in the tunnel. skrtel stood up for what was right and push evra back. then he cheered in front of suarez. i see no wrong what suarez did and many of us would do the same. if suarez leaves it will be with his on discretion in the summer not because he will be shipped out.

John Henry and Tom Werner, leaders of the Fenway Group are said to be really upset about the events before and now after yesterdays game. Nobody will invest further in LFC until the Owners make a true statement of intent so it looks more likely Suarez days are up and he will be shipped out at the end of this season.

Old Rose Nose get his wish id Suarez goes!

Look what we have! A load of Mancs and a pr man from asset strippers NESV!

I think more than anything the very damaging reports in US papers Boston Herald and NY Times are what has made the owners reconsider a player that often gets headlines for the wrong reasons.

This season Suarez has 6 goals a very low shot to goals ratio and who has been the source of a lot of negative press and controversy. If Suarez was an asset on stock market he would've been dumped a long time ago.

12 Feb 2012 03:51:23
Ed do you expect Suarez to leave in the summer? {Ed002's Note - I think he probably will.}

I would be amazed if he was at the club in August. Real Madrid but not for much more than we paid 25 million

I was willing to give Suarez the benefit of the doubt due to 'cultural differences' but after yesterday he will be sold in the summer abroad to the highest bidder, but unfortunately alot less than £40m+ he was worth 6 months ago. Like Tevez we will probably get around £20m -25m. And like Tevez, Suarez clearly thinks he is bigger than his club. He put Dalglish in a terribly uncomfortable position in those post match interviews after his 100% support . He lied to Dalglish about the handshake. He will go in summer and possibly be given another suspension. We all need to move forward and move on from all these silly conspiracy theories.

Whoever is in charge of PR should be held responsible if the whole episode had been dealt with correctly in the first place none of this would have happened and suarez would have won the game for us yesterday not lost it. Sadly it will be for the best if he is sold and others who are stuck in the past move on of their accord.

Ed, u think the club will offload him, or that he will ask to leave? {Ed002's Note - It is probably irrelevant. I would expect the club to discuss matters with Suarez and Oosterver and strike a deal on the way forward that costs the club as little as possible.}

Really sad to see what suarez did yesterday but do you really think he will be sold? if everthing can be forgotten and he can keep his head down for the rest of the season and get 15plus goals in the prem then i cant see liverpool wanting to sell him other then the fact the media pressure making us. we need him next year. with a few new players in the summer regardless of a top 4 finish i think we can get back up there! kenny should also look at himself. made a fool of himself yesterday! hope we win the cup on the 26th to make up for a bad weekend!

Sh!t hopefully for 50-60mil
Shanio1

Hard to see how he can stay.

Can we really play all our away matches with opposition fans chanting "racist ba*%#rd" the whole game? Or with the media stirring the pot every week to generate controversy and stories, which consistently cast us in a bad light?

Doesn't seem the least bit viable.

If we move Suarez on, we give in to the opposition.

Why move him on ? because he would not shake hands with someone like evra. he has no respect for evra so why bother. it isn't the 1st time or the last time it happened.

Any rumours on who we will sign to replace him?

After watching us recently the only other player other than Suarez is Bellamy, and he is not getting any younger. Surely we will have to spend big or risk moving down the table even further

Lads your forgetting not all the Eds on here are Liverpool fans, not that it may make a difference as they should all be diverse and open minded! But am sure there's the odd one that comments with another clubs support in his heart, over shadowing a question. So in other words take even the eds comments with a pinch of salt. Thanks and eds and makers love the site

This whole destruction of Suarez character is disgusting. Something the English media (not all of it, but in general) is quite adept at doing.

Suarez in my opinion was correct what he did (or didnt do), so im disappointed in the apology and if the rumours are right that he will be moved on then why bother apologising, stinks of LFC pulling the strings to keep face and collapsing to SAF and media slant

This needs to be said now. As a Liverpool fan I am not racist, I don't believe my club is racist, I don't believe Suarez is racist and I don't believe Kenny is racist. However I am disgusted with the way football has developed an in built hatred in the current game. Songs being sung disrespecting the dead is the lowest of the low. Be it about Heysel, Hillsborough, Munich or any other team, we as fans need to stop it now or risk losing the beautiful game forever. As Liverpool fans we should take the moral high ground and stop it first. The best songs you hear sung on the Kop our about our own players and our own team, not what we sing about the Opposition. Let's be the first club that gets back to having a drink and a laugh the the opposition before and after a match and by doing that become the best supporters in the world once again. I don't give a damn what goes on at other grounds, let's just get it right at Anfield and get it right when we go to away games. It may be too late to change everyone's way of supporting their team, but let's not lower ourselves to their standards. We are LFC, we are the GREATEST FOOTBALL TEAM IN THE WORLD!! Let's start acting like it again. YNWA

Please post in rumours, I believe this needs to be said.

Lee

Our club has lost alll what shanks has built from the meaing of playing for the shirt and for the respect of our opents not listening to our fans kk has done decent job but he is in the past shelvey better than henderson and spering johson should never be ahead of kelly downing lol

I couldnt agree more

Agree completely. This nonsense has gone on too long.

We can only control our own affairs; we can do nothing about other players, supporters, or managers, and their attempts to stir the pot.

But at the end of the season, those who are deemed to be holding our club back, and contributing to sentiments or an atmosphere that are not positive or healthy, need to be shipped out of Anfield.

This includes supporters, players, and members of the coaching staff.

The club is bigger than any one player or individual, and always will be. The club's reputation must be protected at all costs.
Our reputation, as well our memorable finals, is what makes LFC special.

YNWA Lee. Very encouraging.

Lee it does not happen at anfeild anymore, i admit in th 80s when i started going it was rife,as for surez evra bs its a media driven campagne about a feller they incist is racist, as for the handshake the only thing surez should have told kenny the score that he could not shakes hes hand,as for the bs reaction buy evra well it proves what we have known all along he wanted a reaction and for red nose saying they have kept there councill,well if labeling to get rid of a player then calling him a disgrace shows what a hypercrit he is,
frankyscouse

100% right.this has been handled so badly

Cmon redmen are we really gonna let the scum drive the awesome suarez out of our team, i for 1 certainly hope not, kenny is the man, all of u are goin on about players playing for the name on the front of the shirt, do u not think that should be the case with the managers aswell and i dont know any manager in the world who would put as much heart in the lfc job as kenny does, if theres 1 person that knows the meaning of ymwa its kenny, as for whiskey nose saying we should get rid of suarez that does make me laugh, we all know that evra started the war of words at anfield, so would fergie have approved if instead of calling him negro he just did a flying kung fu kick at him, would he be calling for us to get rid of him like he did with cantona, cmon reds ur seriously gonna let the scum turn us against our best player and our manager
Cmon kenny good run of results champs league spot at end of season and all the questions get put to bed

You have to ask 'where is the board and ownership in all of this and behind which sofa have they been hiding since October.

Kenny and Luis must feel like they've been left isolated by the board and owners.

The problem with Kenny is that he is mentally and tactically not fit at selecting squads for different games. If you looked closely at the game we needed 3 substitutes to help us score 1 goal while Mans**tter didnt even us ANY subs and easily score 2 goals. Suarez did the right thing at the end of the match, he walked.away like a pro while Evra tried to aggravate him by celebrating around him. Great note Lee, i think we lost the match down to 1 player in particular and thats Jay Spearing, this guy cant step in Lucas's shoes. It is strange how Lucas who aint even British was booed early on yet now fans praise him and we have fans cheering Spearing when he cant even defend properly. My beef in this match was with Spearing, had he not played and Adam instead, i bet the match was a draw...

Completely agree Lee. Well said pal.

Dalgeish was left in an impossible position even after imo going over the top on defence of Suarez.He couldn't have known about the handshake thing as he would have surely had Suarez on the bench to negate the chance of the handshake
The fact is Liverpool as a club have handled this disastrously from the begining

As the ed said Suarez position is untenable I think

It was agreed before the game that both players was going to shake hands and move on.........Suarez is a fantastic player but he has let kk and Liverpool down so badly... as peeps have said the club is bigger than any one person but this has done alot of damage to LFC

Spot on. We used to be a club that took the moral high ground and supporters followed suit. The tshirts, booing of evra, consistent sniping about him being innocent seethe clubs reputation back and played right into the press hands with their anti lpool agenda that's being going on for years. Sometimes you just have to be bigger and we let ourselves down. Personally I think Suarez is damaged goods and if we can get 30 m take it and move on.

The media have lapped up the Suarez situation and everybody is on the band wagon ,it makes me sick to here Suarez should go somewhere else.If we did that Ferguson would be waiting with open arms to sign him.Seriously though,there does seem to be a liverpool backlash out there.Must be jealousy.
