Have been meaning to post since I read the article. It was supposedly reported in a Turkish newspaper, and by someone involved at the club markovic is on loan at. We turned down a £20 mil offer for him, and they are saying we will not accept a £25 mil offer for him. And that we are having him watched every game. I know markovic has been done to death. I also realise he is far from happy regarding what happened to him under Rodgers. Just wondered if the eds had heard anything or is it the normal media bs

Also wanted to ask ed01 if he that's if you are a guy eds, could see klopp having quite so much work to do regarding the squad. I'm so glad we got klopp but sometimes the look on his face seems he might tear his hair out. I know a pre season would of helped him. Just seems he has a lot more work on his hands than many of us could ever imagine. Was nice seeing people back from injuries though. Cheers as always eds.

{Ed001's Note - I have not heard of any offer, but we are having him watched and Klopp would like to hold on to him.}

Best news of the day, ed!

Really Ed? No way that's fantastic news. Like a lot here I'd love to see Markovich get a chance. Is Markovich the type of player he usually goes for Ed?

Agree1 Disagree14

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea, just know that he has received positive reports about him.}

11 Feb 2016 19:53:02
Brilliant hope he gets a chance. What do you think of Markovich Ed?

Agree6 Disagree12

{Ed001's Note - I would like to see him given a chance in a position that suits him before I judge him fully. He showed good work ethic and some decent flashes of skill, plus pace, in his season with us, though he never really got a run to bed in and prove himself. I am hoping he will get the chance next season so we can actually have a proper look at what he has to offer.}

11 Feb 2016 20:01:22
I'd say that's what a lot of us are hoping Ed.

Agree9 Disagree13

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed!}

We have seen what a run of games can do for a player, Firmino anyone?
Come home Marko.

Agree 100%, showed pace, desire and decent flashes of skill but was also treated like he should be the finished article due to his purchase price, rather than reality which was someone to be given time to adjust and slowly absorbed into first team. Was also played out of position quite a few times which didn't help confidence.

I think he deserves a run on the wing/ wide attacking mid and perfect candidate to compete with Ibe for a spot, think Klopp could potentially turn him into a surprise package.

Klopp won't pull his hair out, it cost him too much to put back in 😄.

I like Lazar, I remember he came on at HT in a champions league game last season and tore it up for 5 mins then got sent off. Ridiculous decision by that ref. I think it was the Ludogorets match?
Anyway he reminds me in many ways of Paddy Berger and if he can live up to that he'll be a cracking player.

I still remember that audacious volley he had that clanged off the crossbar. Came at him at a weird angle and he Ralph Maggioed it.

The one against sunderland?
He also scored and had a stone wall penalty denied that match.
That boy is going to be special, not instantly but in a few years time he's going to be one hell of a player.

Hi Ed's
is there a possibility of Liverpool scouting and signing Leandro Damião in Summer?
thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable22

{Ed001's Note - no, why would they? If we didn't want him when all our strikers were out injured and he was available on a free, why would we sign him now?}

11 Feb 2016 17:30:44
Maybe bcos they have now decided to sell sturridge and benteke?

Agree0 Disagree32

{Ed001's Note - I really hope that was a joke.}

Well it made me laugh out loud with my morning coffee. Nearly got me caught 'working'
Damião signed for Real Betis like only about a week ago.
What a random question. Are we going to sign Adam Johnson now as well Ed, yeah? ;)

Damiao was a great talent on fifa about 3 years ago, that's about it.

Hi Eds. Out of interest with all of the free transfer players which are/ will be available who do you think would be good for us to sign up?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - none, we need to get rid of players.}

11 Feb 2016 17:36:05
Even after the clear out which will most probably happen there is no-one you could see us trying to sign?
Rumours of Joel Matip keep coming up. Not a player to your liking Ed?

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed001's Note - never seen him play so how could I want us to sign him?}

11 Feb 2016 15:09:23
Rumours of a 77th minute applause on thurs. All for that.

Not many clubs would value their fans the way FSG have. They admit they got it wrong and have listened. Of course when so many fans walk out you have to listen from a business point of view but the statement they issued makes it clear the fans are an important part of their plans.

Fair play FSG.

You say they got it wrong!

They have left the price of 6 match day games the same price of £59 instead of the proposed new price of £77 YET they will be increasing the remaining 13 match day games UP to £59.an increase on some ticket prices of 11%.

Maybe this is what Mr. Ayre meant when he said some fans "should be careful what they wish for" when talking on this matter.

What may look like a good polished piece of PR on the face of it is going to end up costing fans in the long run.

@vrcomp

The walk out was supposed to be as £77 was not seen as affordable. Now none of these will be £77 so they will stay at the more affordable £59.

What would you have expected them to do?

They back tracked and reduced their prices to appease the fans but they weren't going to just roll over so they said that's fine ye can pay more for the lower category games to help make up the revenue. In a way it is a stand to show that they do not intend on getting messed around either.

@Sean Ireland

I was not against the walkout.

What I am pointing out is that the owners have been given positive PR for backing down when in actual fact they will probably receive MORE in generated income on the new pricing structure than they would have done had the just increased the 6 games to £77.

AND at the end of the day. the only one's going to suffer are the fans.

Hi Eds
Jese Rodriguez linked to us again. Surely too pricey?

Believable1 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - Putting aside the price Liverpool has not shown any interest in Jese but interest remains from elsewhere.}
