whats the chance of us getting diago from wolfsburg on loan to athletico hes like a young alonso with more pace would suit us well adamlfc

Diego*
First of all..he's on more than 100k a week!
Second, he's way too inconsistent
Third, he has the talent for sure but is an angry, temperamental guy.
Fourth, there's no interest ;)

always rated marcus hahnemann, any chance of getting him as cover for the semi?

Doubt it,thought he was at everton,dont think they'll let us borrow him,to face them in the semi!,do you ?? :)

He plays for everton so I highly doubt it!

Everton ain't gonna lend him to us woppa

He plays for everton

Against the rules only allowed to loan for injuries

We'll be playing Brad Jones, with Peter Gulacsi on the bench. According to League rules we're only allowed an emergency goalkeeper loan for injuries, not suspensions.

Let's 'borrow' Big Nev. He's out of contract, so eligible.

He plays for everton?!

Get budgie if he's still alive!

I am still waiting for Comolli to add some French players to the team. Eds do you know of any French players that we have scouted? Also I'd like to know what happened to Antoine Griezman? I thought Comolli was watching him very closely.
Thanks. {Ed002's Note - Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus, Liverpool and Aston Villa have apparently had folks watch Dijon's Corgnet recently but Newcastle are the only team I know to have been approached Dijon regarding a possible transfer. Athletico Madrid, Valencia, Marseille and Lyon have shown some interest in Griezmann the past and repordedly Barcelona tool a look at one time, but there is nothing of note right now.}

How many French players did he scout for previous clubs? Just because he is French it doesnt work that way.

You'll be waiting a while for that then

For me, a perfect summer would be, first of all, signing Roberto Soldado and Markel Susaeta. Then;

If Glen Johnson leaves - sign Lukasz Piszczek
If Andy Carroll leaves - sign Luuk De Jong
If Luis Suarez leaves - sign Gaston Ramirez
If Charlie Adam leaves - sign Moussa Sissoko

Mr Hindsight.

Why not try and sign the above players anyway without sales

gee man

I would personal hate to see Carroll leave, i still believe (think i'm the only one) that he can be a monster of a player, maybe i'm wrong, what do i know, but fu** it that's what i think!!

MR EM

I agree with MR EM here. I think carrolls actually looking promising...

Also if them 4 transfers were to happy i think it would weaken the team...

Manno

Oh yes return this great british club to its former glory with foreign players from foreign leagues lured by the big money of the EPL...thats the way forward.

Ur post seems fine but where is the natura;l 20+goals a season finisher we will surely need

personally i would go for

johnson=isla
carroll= soldado
suarez=ramirez
adam-sissoko

then we need a quality right winger and i would try the water with bayern for

Robben

I been told granero is defo on cards to come to Liverpool any info on this ed {Ed002's Note - Granero is surplus to long-term requirements in Madrid and will likely leave the summer. Granero could interest any number of clubs and may be used as a makeweight in a transfer. Only solid interest at this time has been from Blackburn Rovers and Sevilla back in January but unsubstantiated rumours have linked him to Liverpool and Espanyol as well but there is no confirmation of either clubs interest.}

11 Apr 2012 20:42:21
i have seen post saying we are after soldado but are we interested in Fernando Llorente he is not in CL was thinking it would be easier to get him as sol will be on CL next year what u think ed {Ed002's Note - Fernando Llorente is interesting Spurs, PSG and Manchester City. Barcelona are considering their future options which may involve a move for the player.}

11 Apr 2012 20:25:18
hey eds this might be motd fever but aby interest in Dortmunds kuba pacey with loads of tricks rw maybe {Ed002's Note - No.}

We did have Kuba scouted a number of years ago by Rafa but there is no interest now...Angelinas right leg.

11 Apr 2012 19:52:39
Just heard the commentater say that Kagawa could move this summer. You see him coming to the premier league ed? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool have been one of the clubs, along with Udinese, Spurs, Villarreal and Valencia, who have shown an interest in Kagawa this past few months. Although Kagawa has had a generally pretty poor season to start with, he is now back in favour at Dortmund and looking to agree an extension to his contract. I think that he will probably stay on in Germany next season although he says that a move to Manchester United would be impossible to turn down.}

I've got it on good authority that John Henry and Tom Werner were in deep discussions in Liverpool today in the Shakey in Williamson Square. In the end they decided to go for fish and chips. Can't blame them, the food is great in there.
Red Heart

Thankfully u did not say that they are broke and cannot afford anything more than fish and chips in the Hardman Street, let alone buying new players from the continent.

I didn't think that they were coming in until the weekend. Just goes to show you what people will do when they're hungry

I just saw them come out of walkabout and over heard Tom say she*p them Mancs, wanna lobster pot lad'' to John.

This rumour is true. tom and john were deep in discussion with the agents of adam johnson and clint dempsey's agents over the merits of the lobster pot over the chinese chippy opposite the kop.

apparently adam johnson prefers gravy over his chips and peas whereas mr dempsey prefers curry sauce. (although neither enjoys mr. chung's wooden forks) however tom and john always enjoy the moby dick sized fish at the lobster pot. so in the end the decision rested on the toss of a coin. down the phone les dennis called heads, tarby called tails, and mr. chung won.

we will sign both of these players this summer and it is all down to good old mr. chung

11 Apr 2012 19:19:05
eds with kanoute leaving sevilla this season do u see us moving for him, maybe a pay-as-you-play contract or a one-year. could add experience and score some goals

wafa {Ed002's Note - I would be surprised.}

Interesting couple of bits of information i have here for you guys. You can choose to believe what i say or not so if you disagree then don't get silly. I have two different sources who have told me that Kenny will be standing down in the summer. One of them has links with several members of Fenway sports group, he emalied me earlier to say that Kenny has said he is going to stand down in the summer due to the pressures of the game and the intrusive and distuptive nature of the modern day press. This is an excellent source and is a family member so i trust him. My second source is less reliable but does have links with a couple of former reds, he also told me that Kenny is to stand down and that the press are partly to blame but he also said that Fenway have told Kenny that he will only have money from sales this summer as they feel that the investment over the last few windows hasn't be spent as wisely as they feel it should have been. He went on to say that apparently AVB and Paul Lambert are the front runners for his job. Now alot of what he said i feel is speculation rather than fact but he did confirm that Kenny is stepping down in the summer and both have stated that its the press who have played a part in this, my second source went on to say that no funds other than sales will be made available but like i said he isn't as reliable as my first source but either way it looks like Kenny is gone come June.

Just letting people know the situation.

Phapsy

Having waited years to get the job back, i don't believe it. Besides, KD handles the press better than anyone.

Utter garbage......

They'll put some money in the pot, not £100 million like previous, i suspect half of that, with some players expected to leave and raise funds, Johnson, Kuyt, Cole, Aquilani and possibly Suarez.

With that money going back into the team. Comolli pretty much sounded it out in his second interview with Sky Sports after the Carling Cup final.

I'm inclined to believe him and his sources over your sources. Just my thoughts.

Slightly confuzzled by this post. If your spices are correct about kenny stepping down what would be the need to discuss transfer funds with him?

Col

Paul Lambert a front-runner for the Liverpool job? You gotta be kidding right?

Sounds plausible.

I feel the Suarez-Evra fiasco seriously harmed KD. When your main sponsor feels the need to make a statement - well, there are going to be consequences.

I don't know if AVB or Lambert will be the right choice (only time will tell), but I am happy we are looking at younger managers (if this is true).

Do believe that Kenny will stand down! More though that he's been pushed! Rafa will take over on the 1st of June! So no AVB or Paul Lambert!

I'm lead to believe that the funds were discussed with him before he decided to step down. Also apparently he feels things have changed so much that he doesn't enjoy it anymore. The press have been a huge influance in this.

Phapsy

Complete and utter bull....
Go back to your United page!

Dan

Cant see that happening if Liverpool do a double and win both domestic cups. But if Kenny were to be replaced i think AVB would be a very shrewd move indeed. Likewise if we lose the Semi against Everton i can imagine Kenny will probably step aside and let someone else take charge.

Then how come kenny has said he would not walk away from the club a second time

gee man

If Dalglish was to leave then it will only be for one reason and that is because he decided step aside (or at least that is what they're gonna tell us). Mr Henry may not think Dalglish is the one for the long run but he still appreciates what he did when the club needed him most. If Dalglish is forced to hand over the role, the club will allow him to keep his dignity and let him tell the world he thinks someone can do a better job than him.

But we still have loads to play for so we should stop saying who will take over Dalglish or who should get sold. Let's just support the team until the end of the season.

STB

Hi Guys,
In my opinion i do not think KD will step down as there is already transfer plans being made. It does not make sense to buy or sell players if there is new manager.However i think KD will be given a chance put things right.

I really don't get the obsession with AVB. He was clearly out of his depth in the Premier league. His tactics were naive, and his handling of the players was poor to say the least. I'm sure he could develop into a very good manager, but given how impatient so many of our fans are now I just don't see it working!

In any case, why are we even speculating about this now..?

Ed i know there has been talk of Lfc trying to sign soldado in the summer and although he is a great striker do you think Van Persie would be a better option i have heard he is unsettled and he is a 20-30 goals a season player or do you think soldado would be a cheaper option?

P.S i know soldado is not exactly cheap though

Many thanks

The Bailiff {Ed002's Note - RVP will not be moving to Liverpool.}

Why not go for Messi while we're at it! Who are these dream team jokers who post on here!

Yh Messi would be better

11 Apr 2012 18:15:12
Long time reader, first time poster.

I'm from Australia, so a little bit hard to hear anything genuine regarding transfer news.

Are we looking at Kara from Tromso at all?

{Ed002's Note - Nope.}

I see you've got the Kara virus from Football Manager! lol

11 Apr 2012 16:45:13
Ed's with Man City ready to over haul their squad in the summer.

Do you think James Milner and Adam Johnson or any of their other lesser played players will be up for sale?

I think either J. Milner or A. Johnson could help transform Liverpool into a much more competitive team, as we are too narrow and without genuine width.

Thanks {Ed002's Note - One or both will be sold.}

What are the chances we could make a move for either of them. Both would be valuable additions

I would like to see AJ come to anfield and ply his trade with us. He has pace and he would work well with Stewie Downing on the other wing. Under KK i think AJ would flourish and show he deserves a more regular place in club and country football.

Milner? Really? I don't think Liverpool need another industrious CM with little creativity. Adam Johnson would be a really good buy though, in my opinion.

Cant see either wanting to join liverpool.

I don't see them selling Milner.

Thats more like it...Milner should have come when he had the chance and adam johnson would be a decent signing..sign 'em up

Would Citeh really get rid of 2 home nation qualifying players? I can't see them being replaced with anyone British to improve their squad and surely they'd need more than Barry, Hart and Richards?

Heard from a good source that lfc owners are talking to the new consortium of efc about re-visiting the ground share option. I am thinking a great idea as it will free up so much money to spend on playing staff. I know people will fight this with pathetic reasons like what colour seats should it have what name do we call it. Imo all that just doesn't matter its a results business in the modern era of football. Halving all the bills is a win win situation for us and being able to half any expansion projects in the future is another bonus. So we should all look forward to this state of the art stadium and embrace the working together of both teams.

G Baker

If this isn't a call to arms, i really don't know what is.

i bet there's some imbecile in boston saying "gee the customer brand leverage stats on rugby soccer are really cool, lets merge the liverpoolshire reds with harlequins". and he's probably john henry's most trusted adviser.

do not trust nesv! they will kill our club! its "just business" to them!

How could u possibly believe this is a good idea. Fans aren't opposing this because of names or colours, but because of the historic rivalry between liverpool and everton. I understrand it makes financial sense, but it also makes financial sense for luis suarez and steven gerrard to be paid £100 rather than £100,000. I doubt your source is very reliable anyway, as both tom werner and john henry have both said it will never happen.

What consortium at efc is this. upto now nobody has bought or bought into efc. they are trying to sell the club but have been for a few years now.there is no consortium at efc, bill kenwright is the owner. . so first thing i would do is go and tell your "good source" he hasnt a clue what hes talking about. {Ed001's Note - you are the one that hasn't a clue. Kenwright is not the owner, he is the chairman, there are a number of people who own the club.}

Wise words my mate.
It really makes good sense (financially, commercially), and will benefit the city as well.
Without exploring this option, or even redeveloping Anfield, I fear we will never get a larger stadium.
Let's hope 'common sense' prevails.
I look forward to positive news on this.
Food for thought.

How can It be a good idea, yes we all should love the healthy rivalry but look at the bigger picture, will they want to come onto the pitch under the crest hanging above the tunnel because we will have one its our tradition! Half of the bills? they couldnt afford half the bills on a state of the art stadium... they can only just keep themselves above water now! We carried on being successful, let them sell to richer owners and build their own stadium, I notice its always our stadium to be shared with them, never the other way! terrible idea.

Utter rubbish.
if you can tell me where Everton are getting £150 to £200million from to finance such a deal, I might read what you've written

Recall that the 'city of Liverpool', were at one stage, in discussions to build EFC at 55K stadium in the docklands.
So maybe that's were the money is coming from.

Let's be honest, if both LFC and EFC don't do something, then both will fall further behind Manchester and London. Got to look at the big picture here, the city of Liverpool needs a super stadium.

Everton have no money. If we pay the same amount as them then we'll have £2 to spend on a new stadium.

Total rubbish

Everton fans huh..

Ideally, we stay and expand Anfield, if possible.

If not, groundshare may be inevitable if we are to have a state of the art stadium. I do not want to see the club stuck with crippling debt due to a new stadium - no way.

Simply having your own new stadium does not guarantee success on the field. Ask Arsenal.

I'd rather groundshare with Marine.

As other people have asked, where is Evertons money to come from? If the stadium costs £300 million who is going to guarantee Evertons £150 million share?
Won't Everton want a smaller stadium, which will be cheaper to build? So do Liverpool pay the excess?
Won't Liverpool demand the naming rights, as they will get a far higher revenue than Everton and won't Everton demand their share of this and exactly how much should it be as Everton aren't as well known, globally?
Also which council in their right mind would risk funding our two football clubs - particularly in a time of austerity? Imagine the hoo hah if Everton couldn't keep up their share of the costs and Liverpool residents had to subsidise them (same goes for Liverpool).
The political party that initiated the funding would lose their deposits at the next election.

Looks like a big scam to me. After Raul Mereiles was sold, Fenway had made a profit on player purchases vs change in player wages. Somewhere near 20 m or so.

So now, we have a mid table team and will never see a net spend on players.
Even 10 yrs ago, under David Moores we'd spend 12 to 15m pa to maintain and improve our squad.

This way, we will never get back into the Champs Lge. Fenway will simply sell off our remaining stars and trouser the cash.
No wonder Kenny wants to jack it in.

Fenway's advisers are the same people as Hicks and Gilette. The same people who used lies and fraud to trick supporter shareholders into selling up.

These parasites are killing our club.

The "football village" was a better plan...demolish the whole area, one stadium on either side of the space, and bars and club shops etc in between with green space and communal areas to meet and socialise pre+post match.

if we share a ground, we have one end, everton the other? so when everton play united does that mean united fans sit on the new kop? yeah, grounshare isnt a good move.

Seeing as Johnny Henry is all for sharing and making economies...

Perhaps he'd like to sell his 200 ft yacht and move into a tenement with a family of unemployed people..
Oh and with the money he could replace the players he sold..! {Ed002's Note - What players did he sell?}

Torres, Aquilani, Mereiles are 3 stars.
Add in a load to cut the wages - loan and permanent
Babel, Ngog, Cole, Konchesky, El Zhar, Jovanovic., Kyriakos, Poulsen, Bruna, Mavinga, Degen. And prob a few more. {Ed002's Note - It was not Henry's decision to move these players on.}

11 Apr 2012 16:20:51
hey eds. I've heard that Walcott is Leaving Arsenal at the end of the season and that he's been linked to Juve, Valencia, City and us (he said he'd go to Juve or Liverpool, sice he's known to be our fan). Is there any truth to this rumour? {Ed002's Note - I don't see Walcott moving to Liverpool this summer.}

I hope not because his rubbish...

With Aurelio leaving, the medical staff are going to need to be kept busy by someone else. Walcott fits the bill perfectly.

11 Apr 2012 15:53:14
Ed, anything on Pablo Hernandez of Valencia who was linked with us in January? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - Nope - if he moves I suspect that he may stay in Spain.}

11 Apr 2012 15:51:21
ed do you think all three of Aqua,Spearing and Adam could be up for sale this summer and if they are do you think the club would be in the market for a centre midfielder or do you reckon they'd be happy enough with Gerrard,Lucas,Henderson and Shelvey to cover that position?thanks...i like Spearing and to a lesser extent Adam but i think someone like James McCarthy will end up a better player than both,do you think Liverpool would have any interest in signing him? {Ed002's Note - Aquilani will be sold in the next couple of weeks. Spearing probably not. Adam I am not sure, but doubt. McCarthy's price has scared clubs off in the past and I don't know of any interest in him right now.}

When Wigan go down McCarthy will go to a club like Stoke, Sunderland or Aston Villa

Thanks ed,so by that thinking i take it you dont think we'l buy a centre mid in the summer... {Ed002's Note - I don't recall saying that.}

With Aquilani gone, I think the club has just about enough midfielders to play in four competitions next season. Perhaps if we get lucky and land Nick Powell then we can consider letting either Adam and Spearing leave and also promote Coady

To go for McCarthy would be a kick in the teeth for shelvey and henderson.

11 Apr 2012 14:41:21
are we looking at Ezequiel Schelotto? {Ed002's Note - None that we know of.}

According to Italian press yes, but who knows may be true or worng

11 Apr 2012 14:12:22
we have recalled gulacsi from hull
mrbrown

11 Apr 2012 13:25:08
Liverpool are recalling goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi from his loan spell at Hull City, the Championship outfit have announced. The move follows the suspensions picked up by Pepe Reina and Alexander Doni.

Danny

He is however cup tied! {Ed002's Note - No, he has not played in the FA Cup this season.}

Liverpool Football Club can confirm they have spoken to Hull City about the recall of goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi.

The agreement is subject to approval from the Premier League, Football League and the FA. Just an update.

Danny

11 Apr 2012 13:04:33

Just been talking to a work friend who is based in lisbon massive lisbon fan and he said liverpool are lining up a bid for ricky van wolfswinkle and that he nearly signed for liverpool before he broke his ankle, player is keen wather or not we get champs league, he does not know how much money is being talked about though.
Steve The Red

Van Wolfswinkle didn't break his ankle, he broke his collar bone.

11 Apr 2012 13:10:49
Macca is there any truth in suso leaving heard he was in talks to move on an 18 month loan deal with a veiw to making it permanent . Also do u think commoli will b there next season as well as dalglish

Lfcthebest

Impossible, looking at Suso now he is so much stronger physically, the club has spent so much time developing him I don't think they are willing to let him go before he has a go at the league in his favoured attacking mid position. It's only a matter of time before he makes a first team appearance. Expect to see him a couple of times before season ends.

Commoli gone already

Lfcthebest

11 Apr 2012 13:10:36
eds are we taking a look to BORUSSIA DORTMUND player Robert Lewandowski ,he is young and will not coast too much, what about jesus navas i think he is quality
(ahmed) {Ed001's Note - yes, we have looked at Lewandowski, not to Navas, his homesickness is too much of a risk.}

That's too bad because I think Navas is a solid player.

11 Apr 2012 12:57:27
Macca/Ed's
Great site first of all,
Can I ask where Macca gets his news from? Is he part of the club or is it that he knows people in the club? Appreciate any news he does provide but interested to no where the info comes from?

Secondly, Do you or Macca see us still going for Luuk De Jong even if we get Soldado?
Or would you say De Jong is more of a back up option if we couldnt get Soldado? Would love to see De Jong in the club either way. Great Prospect.

Any answers are appreciated

Chris {Ed001's Note - you would have to ask Macca about that, it is up to him if he wants to say or not. I think we might well be in the market for more than one striker in the summer.}

11 Apr 2012 12:45:11
Hi, eds. Any chance of ozil in the summer? {Ed002's Note - I don't see Oezil necessarily being available in the summer but Liverpool and Manchester United may well be interested if he is - but Champions League qualification being achieved may be a pre-requisite for any move he makes. I am sure that there would be plenty of interest from elsewhere, not least Inter Milan who bid against Madrid to buy him originally, and Juventus. Whilst he had what was seen as a very good season last year, this season has been patchy at best with a lot of time on the bench. Real Madrid may listen to offers in the region of 25M euros or so.}

Why is Champions League qualificatuion a pre-requisite for signing players? Man City weren't in the Champions League when they signed Tevez et al.. You get what you pay for and if you don't put up then you'll end up with Downing and other s***e like him.

11 Apr 2012 12:20:50
Just wondering eds, iv just seen a rumour about Suarez watching Soldado with KD, do you think Suarez has been asked about his favoured style of strike partner? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Players being asked about transfers.Where's that padded cell.

11 Apr 2012 12:11:48
I reckon Reina is gone in the summer. Barcelona perhaps.

Why Barcelona? They have a first choice keeper they're happy with and has been there since his youth days. Malaga would be much more likely if he were leaving, or even Athletico.

Complete bull.

I believe the cash rich Malaga would be Pepe's destination if he were to move on.

I'm not sure if he will leave though. He's loved on Liverpool and has said he believes the squad just lack belief and that the talent is certainly there.

He's important at Liverpool and has fought hard to become the number one choice for Liverpool, he's donned the captains band as well, it's a lot to walk out on.

I think Pepe will for Spain before he retires, but he has stated that he wants to be ''a Brad'' by playing till he is 40 yrs old.

I thought he would be away aswell but after last nyt am not so sure he followed doni to dressing room for moral support i dnt thing he would of done this if he had plans to leave
mrbrown {Ed002's Note - Moral support? Perhaps he just wanted to watch him get changed?}

Ed just leave it, you do get annoying mate.....

SILVERstone {Ed002's Note - Try not to be such a jerk complaining about me because I am a soft target. If you want something to complain about, try bitching about the fans who spew hatred at the players, manager and owners everytime the club fail to win.}

Aye well dun e002 ha ha, a think you know what a ment
mrbrown

I've always stood by the players, owners and especially the management, so can u please eds be more clear when u say stuff about the fans, the majority are behind the club, like all clubs u get idiotic fans and been a fan of the plastics(Chelsea) you would know better than any {Ed002's Note - So the anonymous troll comes out to flame. One less to worry about.}

Ed ... you really are a great but slightly menthol guy...

Or Malaga. i'd get that keeper we sold to FC Tweente

11 Apr 2012 11:50:37
I can actually see Steven Fletcher join Liverpool this summer. Don't ask why, more of a premonition than a rumour!

Sam Adzii JFT96

Tbh I would take fletcher and jarvis

We could do alot worse than Fletcher for a 2nd/3rd choice striker....

Sounds like a bad dream to me

Yep,perfectly possible.

I agree with you, I can see it happening!

Take your pills and have a lie down mystic meg

Yeah, that's the type of player that Liverpool are capable of attracting because they aren't willing to pay top dollar for real quality. They give the fans bull by pretending that the real reason they can't sign genuine quality is becuase they're not in the champs league but we all know its because they're spending decent money on s***e players rather than spending big for real quality. {Ed001's Note - is this meant to be gibberish?}

11 Apr 2012 11:23:31
Apparently from what I have heard there still is interest in Juan Manuel Vargas.
But I doubt we will pay anything more than 8-10M.
Also Maurico Isla is still on the agenda, Pablo Armero has been looked at but Isla is more likely [know he is out injured but interest doesn't seem to fade away].

That means we are looking to bring them as wing-backs, their versatility is one key factor in it. Since Robinson & Flanagan is still bit immature and would struggle to find feet in a prolong run in the first team. + Kelly being so injury prone & Johnson expected to leave in summer.

If both comes in then it would ease the need for wingers & lack of fullbacks.

So Left side we might have a combination of: Enrique/Vargas, Vargas/Downing, Enrique/Downing

Right side we might have a combination of:
Kelly/Isla, Isla/Downing, Kelly/Downing

Flanno & Robbo will likely leave on loan, Bellamy would more often play upfront rather than on the wings.
Also a certain Kelly may be pushed to CB just like Carra used, Carragher will find hard to break into starting XI, and expect him to retire soon or he might end up some where else if he don't intend to.

Last night was a great result, weird match but credit to lads, its tough to earn a victory after going 1 man down away from home. Maxi, Andy, Hendo & Shelvey did very well.

On Doni & Jones, it was unfortunate for both of them but Jones did well by saving the penalty though Yakubu took it as bad as anyone can take. Jones is still immature and showed it, the blunder. But since we have no choice we should have our faith in him and pray he do well for the time being.

On Carroll, just play him, start him every match. I am sure we will see a difference. I am not sure if he will be with us or not in summer but even if is to be sold playing him would only rise his price or stock. If he is going to stay i still have that feeling he will come good, he just needs our support and a run of games in the first XI.

Armando

Agree tottally with all you said, would love to see isla and vargas come to us, will give us the pace and width we need

If Carra leaves I see it being to a Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan or even Blackpool if they're promoted. He said in his book he doesn't want to leave the city so I see it bein some club in the north west.

How can u say jones is immature he is 30 so should b in his peak years as a goalkeeper, just wish him all the best in semi after what he has went through. Yak fell like a tonne of bricks when brad stoked him

As much as i want andy carroll to be a success its not worked out id give him 1 more seasons but as a back-up he has had all the time in the world to get a good run of form going and we as the supporters are suffering he has missed from 3 yards out more than 10 times we need them goals! Dors anyone think if he chopped his hair he would be a better player? Haha

The theory is valid. Tories did well whenever he did his hair blonde. Castle won promo when Carroll had short hair. Bet if he did. He can score 20+ goals....

eds do you think sterling will stay with liverpool or leave in the summer , I heard spurs were intrested? {Ed002's Note - I really have no idea.}

If it was known around the club he intended to leave in the summer i doubt Kenny would have given him his debut or constantly have him train and travel to matches with the 1st team...

I know this won't help us this season but sunderlands Gordon is out of contract this season.. Would be good option to have on the bench. Have we any interest in him eds? {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware and I would suspect he would want first team football if he moves.}

You're having a laugh right? He'd get injured walking to the bench! The most injury prone player I have heard of!

Jonny.

Eds can we call back Gulacsi from Hull? Thanks so much.

HK {Ed002's Note - I don't know the terms of the contract, but in all probability there is a call back clause.}

I believe he is already back as he has injured himself playing for Hull

If e did call him back, he would only be eligable for cup games, as he was 21 when the PL season started. our only options are fee agents, or promoting either Ward or Belford to the fist team until Pepe is back from suspension! {Ed002's Note - I think you have perhaps misunderstood the rules.}

Hi Ed,

If we were to recall him from his loan, would he be able to return to Hull when Pepe returns or would he have to remain at Liverpool for the rest of the season? {Ed002's Note - He would have to remain at Liverpool - although exceptions can be made for goalkeepers under application to the FA.}

He is out for a couple of months ....RED INDIAN

edds have you herd any romours yourself? we wont take it as gospal an slag you off if its wrong hense the word rumour but it would be nice to here a rumour from someone other then a 15 year old dreamer

adamlfc {Ed001's Note - I haven't really heard much regarding Liverpool at all recently. It seems we are getting much better at keeping things quiet. I still believe we are keeping an eye on Matty Phillips and are continuing to have him watched most matches. The scouts have been back to Crewe recently as well, probably to take another look at Nick Powell.}

Eds do you think Liverpool would have a better chance of getting Soldado if Valencia fail to finish in the CL places? {Ed001's Note - not really, he is likely to leave regardless.}

Why would he be likely to leave? not that i am complaining {Ed001's Note - not sure to be honest, I never thought to ask if there was any particular reason he was leaving. I haven't been watching much Spanish football this season, so I couldn't even say if he is first choice or not.}

I think hes bagged himself 16 goals in 28 or 30 matches. So i think he is and hes still finding the net so im a bit mystified as well. Maybe he just feels its the right time to move to another club, hopefully that club is Liverpool.
KiwiRed

If he does move... then suarez is all the support he will need as long as he gos back post for tap in... we could have easily triplled our tallys every game if he does....

Don't know how reliable givemefootball.com are but its says, Liverpool are lining up a summer swoop for Manchester City duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Adam Johnson!

What are the chances of this actually happening in the summer.
Born and Bread {Ed001's Note - two lads both on over 100k a week, in Adebayor's case 170k.}

Adam johnson is on over 100k i find that hard to believe he was a "cheep" buy from middlesbrough why would they bump him strait up to steven gerrard wages if 50k would have done the job an more then doubled his wages and he ent even first team just dont add up to me im going to check that out {Ed001's Note - he has just signed a new bumper contract, go check by all means.}

Had no idea Johnson was on those kinds of wages- good for him I guess, but now I see why the Eds think a move unlikely for him.

Side question- anyone happen to know what City's wages are per week? If they're paying that kind of money for a winger who rarely starts it must be outrageous. {Ed002's Note - Their wages are well over 100% of the total turnover of the club.}

Do you not think someone like that would take a pay cut if he is guaranteed first team football? johnson wold start for us week in week out, surely that would sweeten the blow of a few less thousand in his pocket each week?

One thing FSG prove at red sox is they will pay top wages for top talent {Ed002's Note - There is no comparison whatsoever.}

Well if we want to get in top quality players like adam johnson and adebayor than we might as well start paying big wages {Ed002's Note - Adebayor's wages equate to close to 5% of the total annual turnover of Liverpool - the club simply cannot afford those sorts of payments.}

FSG won't pay what they can't afford , neither of those players are worth those wages anyway, especially Johnson who isn't a 90min player or as good as he thinks he is

Hi eds do you think well go for a central midfielder in the summer, I think we need a quality cm to partner lucas
Maybe joe allen?

Thanks

Mac {Ed001's Note - possibly, I don't believe it to be a priority though, so it would depend on outs.}

Mate at this present moment we need a quality everything
Speeds

He is so average do you want to be in the championship?

Granit Xhaka would be perfect and cheap {Ed002's Note - Granit Xhaka has attracted interest from Juventus, Manchester United, Hamburg, Lazio, Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray with CSKA seeming to be still pushing very hard for a deal. However, Moenchengladbach are leading the chase right now and it looks very likely that a deal will be done for perhaps a little over 7M euros.}
