Hi eds and reds am getting the impression mane and salah are playing selfish and not for the team like last season I may be a mile off but they seem like they are in competition with each other rather than last season where they played for the team.

Nonsense.

I just don’t think Salah has hit top form yet. It was always going to be difficult for him to repeat last year’s heroics but with everyone looking at him it gives Mane space to work in. Yes maybe Salah is getting frustrated with his recent performances and is trying to force it, and yes maybe Mane is trying to prove he’s just as good as Salah, (controversial comment, but I think Mane is the better player) but it will work out. They are both too good for it not to and Klopp won’t allow the team ethic to drop. Look how furious he was when Salah didn’t pass to Studge in the Spurs game. He was as angry as iv seen him and we were winning and dominating that game.

19 Sep 2018 06:43:03
I might be wrong but I think his goal total is the same as it was after the same number of games last season.

19 Sep 2018 06:51:31
People need to stop with this.

If Klopp has even the slightest sniff that he thought this could be a problem, he’d bang their heads together.

19 Sep 2018 07:28:59
It’s a non-issue, sometimes they’re shooting when they should pass, but it’s also true that sometimes they’re passing when they should shoot.

It just takes a while to get fully in the groove again. At least they are creating plenty of chance for each other.

An irrelevant discussion in my opinion berg mate, I do understand where you are coming from but the be all and end all is, we are winning. We've won the first 6 games, if we weren't winning maybe it'd be more of an issue and question marks would be popping up left, right and center but it's all good mate.

Salah isn't at his best yet, yet being the keyword here, he will be fine and will crack on. I still reckon he'll score 30+ goals this season. It's all still very early, the lads as a full team only joined up again last month yet we're still out there getting the desired results.

Look to the future, believe and be happy mate because exciting times are coming :) .

One day Neymar will be as good as James Milner.

I know wjinaldum has his doubters and he sometimes looks like he positions himself NOT to receive the ball. I think what he does is position himself in the place where liverpool could lose the ball and thus is playing defensively. For me he is a classic klopp midfielder. When he plays well we win. I really like him.

Gini and Hendo between them did their fair share of hiding from the ball in the first 30 minutes, imo. Particularly when van Dijk and Gomez were on it. I think there's an instruction there to let the CBs bring the ball out themselves. They've both been better since our first goal.

Overall Gini's having one of his best games in a red shirt. He's been really good so far, far better than he was against Spurs.

This is why I'm critical of him. He's a good player, he just doesn't deliver on his ability like tonight often enough.

19 Sep 2018 08:06:16
I think Gini had a decent game last night, but I didn't see anything exceptional. Too many times he was slowing play down and getting in other peoples way instead of showing for it. Which strangely enough, actually won us the penalty when he got in Salah's way and stopped his run.

Best wishes to Stephen Darby, feel sorry for him, such a horrible diagnosis of MND
YNWA.

Just watched Liverpool v Watford at Anfield last season when Salah scored 4. The difference is obvious.
He score 2 brilliant individual goals but the rest of the time he’s looked for and invariably picked the right pass, as has Mane. That has then taken players away from them leaving them in space to receive the ball back.
So far this season I think they have been trying to do too much on their own but when they link up they will both score more.

One to watch for the rest of the season. low and behold another saints player. center back. Jannik Vestergaard

Looked decent in the first few games and is new to the league. Looks similar player to our own VVD. Will be interesting to see how he develops during the season.

I’d say more like Sami Hyypia. Looks half decent but so did Fonte.

18 Sep 2018 12:08:23
Fonte was decent. But that's all, and then the years starting taking effect.

Did anyone see the Costa incident today? Absolutely disgusting and pathetic. There is no place for that. He should have been sent off for the head butt in the first place.

Just saw that mate, unbelievable the dirty bugger. If I was his manager he'd never get a game with my team again! Horrible.

17 Sep 2018 09:19:11
Well he is known for his dribbling skills.

17 Sep 2018 17:22:53
You should see his response to the situation, it's even worse.

He apologised to the Juventus fans for his behaviour, not the player he elbowed, attempted to headbutt, and then spat at (Into the player's mouth no less) . He attempted to distance himself from his actions by calling it an isolated incident, everyone knows I am not like the person you saw on the TV and unbelievable bull like that. I cannot believe he is attempting to act like it was not his fault, that he does not need to apologise to the player, etc and take responsibility for his actions.

You can always see someone's true colours in these highly pressurising moments, how you react shows you the kind of man you really are. React calmly, and you are clearly in control and mature enough to deal with a number of similar situation. React aggressively and, in my opinion, like a degenerate piece of rubbish, then that is exactly what you are.

Shame on you, Douglas Costa, you are an embarrassment.

To be perfectly honest I think Neymar jr is the better of the two!

16 Sep 2018 18:26:58
Who is more important to the team Mane or Salah?
Mane for me though!

Agree2 Disagree1

16 Sep 2018 19:04:04
At this moment in time it is Mane.

16 Sep 2018 19:48:11
Agreed, Mane right now but I expect it to change between the two as the season goes on, I think both will have an incredible season, just a slow start.

16 Sep 2018 23:55:31
The two of them and bobby are equally important, but Virgils the man for me.

17 Sep 2018 18:31:36
Firmino.

17 Sep 2018 18:43:03
Firmino. See how how whole shape changes when he goes off.

17 Sep 2018 21:35:43
Bobby.

18 Sep 2018 13:07:15
Henderson.

16 Sep 2018 18:01:11
Anyone seen the latest zlatan's goal? . It's superb.

That guy can do stuff no one else can. Shame he’s a complete bellend.

16 Sep 2018 20:19:13
His public persona is a joke. He’s actually a funny guy. Better than 99% of footballers with no personality at all! And yep the goal is incredible.
