Ed 001 I think I already know the answer but what’s your thoughts on if mourinho was manager next season.

{Ed001's Note - it's not going to happen, he is not the right fit.}

Eds 1 / 2 and general rabble

If we can't land our preferred manager/ coach do you think an experienced manager on a 1-2 year contract would make sense?

{Ed002's Note - I hope not for Liverpool. They need a minimum mid term soltion.}

Absolutely not. Firstly, there’s no one out there suitable, secondly (when it inevitably goes wrong), it sets us back massively.

22 Apr 2024 20:32:48
I hope he Slots in the club seamlessly.

I think Thomas Frank is a decent manager and is of a mould that suits us but I also feel that there should absolutely be an employer in-between Brentford and Liverpool on his CV. This isn't the same Liverpool job as in 2010.

Thomas Frank shouldn’t be in the conversation. He’s the Roy Hodgson candidate. I can’t for one minute think there would be any logic in overlooking Amorim and Slot, who are both well respected top talents, in favour of someone who doesn’t have either the CV, talent or gravitas for the job,

Did I see Edwards state that they were prepared to be unpopular?

Mourinho.

Part of me wants to see it, but ideally in an alternate universe so when it does end In tears it doesn’t effect us 😂

However the romantic in me could see him running down the touch line against Chelsea when Nunez secures us the league!

22 Apr 2024 20:21:01
I mean. If they want to make themselves persona non grata. Fine. But surely even Mourinho would surely realise how deeply he’s disliked among us.

Ed002 “ No, fear not”.

That’s good enough for me. Thanks Ed002.

Joint top with five to play. Is there still hope? Has the ship been steadied? Is it too late?

I still feel that if we win this week against Everton and West Ham, we will enter May with daylight at the top. I think Arsenal won't come through Chelsea and Tottenham with maximum points. Of course, City would still have a match in hand.

Stick with Jota and Gakpo for the next match? I can't see what would justify a change. Mac Allister back in the middle with Endo. Give Gravenberch another start?

I think Gakpo and Jota have played their way into the starting XI surely. Gakpo has been one of the best players on the pitch for us for a while now. Pretty much since his header against Sheff Utd which seems to have given him a confidence boost. Jota is just our best finisher so he has to play.

The right wing is where we have an issue. Salah is out of form, Diaz doesn't look natural there. I'm almost certain Salah will come back in for Everton but maybe Szoboszlai should get a chance there if Salah's struggles continue.

Gravenberch did enough to start in my opinion as well. Scored a beauty and played a crucial role in the build up for the 3rd. See if he can build on that confidence now and maybe go on a run.

There is a glimmer of hope. I agree with you that Arsenal will falter again. It's just City though. I can only really see them dropping points against Spurs and if it were a draw and other than that we both won every game, it could even come down to goal difference! We could really do with 1 or 2 high scoring victories to put a bit of daylight in between us and them with GD, but we can't afford to force it as our defence is ropey.

{Ed025's Note - i imagine that the derby will be a great chance to improve your goal difference MK..

22 Apr 2024 15:06:16
i doubt so ed025
Everton are quite bad at the moment but so was Utd and guess what? we didn't win them even once this season, didn't score much against them and let in so many when they could hardly break an egg, much less well organized sides
i did settle for a 1-0 win.

{Ed025's Note - im expecting a bit of a hiding for us to be honest sg, we will try and kick you off the pitch i expect and think we might get one or two sent off mate, you really need the win and i will be flabbergasted if you dont get the 3 points..

22 Apr 2024 15:15:56
Ed025, can the Everton that played Chelsea show up please? That'd do us a treat!

{Ed025's Note - they turn up every week MK, if not for our friends at VAR we would have lost at the weekend mate, we will not score thats for certain and it will be a case of how many you win by, your only concern should be the injuries you suffer because boots will be flying from minute one, a sad indictment i know but im afraid thats the reality of where we both are..

22 Apr 2024 17:01:12
The ships still sailed, we'd need 2 teams to drop points, who are both in better form then we are.
I guess if the stars align its possible, but I'd be stunned!

Edd001 with the money (debt) invested into redeveloping anfield which had to be done by fsg what's your opinion on what Radcliffes achieving to do at United regarding a new stadium. He hinted again recently about the stadium being like Wembley and funded by the tax payer. Do you think it's achievable and it's fair?

{Ed001's Note - it is achievable but should not be allowed. Perhaps the multi-billionaire sportswasher could try paying tax himself before asking for others to pay for things for his benefit. No club should have a stadium on the taxpayers, there are already too many with Man City and West Ham getting cheap ones at the taxpayers expense.}

Glad to see someone finally calling him out Ed001. Can't believe the media aren't all over him. Ratcliffe an his company INEOS are scum. They're driving up chemical costs which is having a brutal affect on the cost of living crisis as a lot of them are used in manufacturing, water supply, construction etc. Alright for him with his inflated profits he won't pay tax on though!

{Ed001's Note - a vile man.}

22 Apr 2024 15:11:14
Ratcliffe is tax dodging scum. Always remember him and that BTEC Land Rover INEOS built, he’d taken some tax incentives to have it built in Wales only to take the money and decide to build the car in France citing better infrastructure, economies of scale and supply chains which wouldn’t be affected by tariffs imposed due to leaving the EU. Somewhat ironic given his extreme pro Brexit stand. I think you’ve summed him up perfectly there Ed. I’d only add to that by saying he’s a vile two faced man who looks like he’s having a really bad mid life crisis.

{Ed001's Note - I hope he is, because he has caused so many people to suffer.}

22 Apr 2024 16:03:28
Edd001 thanks for the reply. He's clever in his wording for justifying it but it's disgraceful. No private company especially a football club which is tribal should have tax payers paying for a clubs stadium, to which the owners simply only benefit. Also a club of uniteds stature and revenue, it's shameful.

{Ed001's Note - it is not like he can't afford to pay for it so **** him.}

22 Apr 2024 16:33:40
A **** bag billionaire eh? Would you believe it?

You don’t make that sort of money - and then blow it on sports or spaceships - unless you’re a real **** bag.

Anyway, back to the Wembley of the North (ridiculous) .

If he wants tax payers to fund his stadium then we’ll be his teams landlords and he will discover it’s going to cost him a lot of money to rent Normbley.
