Eds how is Woodburn progressing. Does Klopp still see his future at LFC or do you think he will fail to make it. Cheers in advance.

{Ed001's Note - he is on loan with Sheff Utd, last I heard he was injured.}

Shaquiri's weak foot is better than Clyne's strong one.

16 Dec 2018 19:35:07
Shaqiri was great, a £13 million bargain. I do not agree with the dig at Clyne though. There have been a few on here already.
He has been out a long time and I thought he did ok. Of course he was not great but he did a job for us and lasted 90 minutes.

16 Dec 2018 20:09:09
Thought Fabinho and Keita where great today but it was just Utd so will see how they fare next few weeks 😀.

16 Dec 2018 20:24:25
Jordz not having a dig at you but i've been asking the question all night with no answer. You say kieta was great when i must of missed it. People pan gini for going awol but what did kieta do i must of missed it as i don't get why people are saying his performances are great he was anonymous to say the least.

16 Dec 2018 20:11:24
Spot on, Greenflash. Clyne for someone who had not played all season for whatever reason, I thought he had a solid game. He lacks the attacking impetus and ability of TAA but we already knew that and the team was set up for him to just do his job esp. with the speed demon Rashford to contend with.

Keita tried to drive us forward, beat a man and pick that perfect pass. Sometimes he needs to just lay it off or play a quick ball. But he’s trying good things and working hard. I think once he gets the Liverpool style a little more, he will be great!

16 Dec 2018 20:50:51
You do not beat a team like Man Utd the way Liverpool just did carrying passengers. Every player contributes in a positive way, some more than others obviously. Have a bit a common decency and enjoy the win instead of being a football supremo, which you aren't off course and slagging off players. Liverpool 3- Man Utd 1.

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Dec 2018 20:59:16
Who slagged a player off? I asked why is kieta being touted as a starter he did less than gini and he gets panned for it.

Hi lads;

Great game and great win. Just saw Andy Gray say on Bein Sport that "It should not bring anyone any pleasure to see a giant of a club like Man Utd struggle the way it is struggling right now". Wait, What? That must be a sick joke, really. I mean, has this guy met any LFC or Man City fans ever?

In case Andy Gray is living under a rock or in some alternate reality, we at LFC are loving every minute of the way Utd is currently struggling and LONG may it continue. YNWA!

We are definitely missing the brain buvac right.

{Ed0333's Note - who?

16 Dec 2018 19:20:18
Yes. Top of the league and unbeaten. How have we managed to cope without him for so long!

Agree4 1Disagree

16 Dec 2018 20:07:02
I have no idea, Lamborini. His synchophants kept telling us that The Brain (less) was the guy behind our "success" (whatever the heck that means) when we played a system that won us NOTHING in his tenure and how Klopp made us "weaker" (yeah, like top of the PL, undefeated and in the CL KO stages-weaker) by sending him packing.

If us being "weaker" means we are top of the PL, undefeated and thru to the CL KO stages, then may the Brain (less) never set foot at Anfield ever again.

{Ed0333's Note - I hope they hug it out and settle their differences mate to be honest. Nothing good ever comes from Bad blood

Ed2 if your around not trying to cause an argument or have a dig at chelsea. But i was wondering if they will be reprimanded for their fans behaviour of late and if so what sort punishment would be likely.

Agree0 1Disagree

{Ed002's Note - This is the Liverpool page but there are already efforts by Chelsea to identify those responsible for the completely unacceptable behavior on Thursday night. They club will give life time bans to any people identified as responsible and will support any action UEFA deems necessary if they are charged. It is important to remember that Chelsea is under Jewish ownership and on occasions where fans or players have tried to involve religion very decisive and swift action has been taken by the club.}

16 Dec 2018 15:04:57
I saw the club had acted re the fans banned i meant what kind of punishment would uefa deem necessary and perhaps the fa. Thanks for your response though.

Agree0 1Disagree

{Ed002's Note - What happened on Thursday is nothing to do with the FA. UEFA have the power to charge Chelsea and deal with the matter quickly and that would result in the closure of part of the stadium for the next home fixture if found guilty.}

16 Dec 2018 15:18:58
Sorry i was including the abuse sterling encountered should of made it clearer. Are the fa not getting involved re that.

{Ed002's Note - That is a matter for the police, and as far as I know they have not made any arrests to date.}

Ings with a second goal in the first half versus Arsenal. Ahh how much I wanted him to stay as a back up in our squad. But a fully understand his decision as he wants to be a regular.

Agree10 1Disagree

16 Dec 2018 14:22:25
He wasn’t good enough for us, period. He’s been fantastic for Southampton when fit, however. Best of luck to him.

16 Dec 2018 14:35:43
I agree he is not good enough to be a starter in a title challanging team, but as a back up he offers something different. Could've been a good sub for one of our front 3. But it is what it is. We have Sturridge who is having a fit season so far and doing a decent job.

Agree5 0Disagree

16 Dec 2018 15:47:33
Disagree that he isn't good enough for us. has firmino been firing? Is Danny sturridge good enough for us. Has origi proved himself since he arrived. Yet you say ings isn't good enough with 2 serious injuries and limited playing time.
If he can score goals in a bad bad bad team like Southampton he would score more for us.

16 Dec 2018 18:14:36
Mafico, I love the guy myself and wanted the best for him at LFC cos he definitely deserved his chance. But you have to agree that his time had gone and we are now another best now, miles ahead of the team Inf=gs was in and scoring before he got injured both times. Lallana is in the same boat as well.

You talk about him being back up, well Salah plays up top now with Bobbie in behind or deeper in midfield so who would Ings be back up at? To Studge who rarely plays or to Origi who never plays? You comparing Ings to Origi (who never plays) or to Bobbie (whose dip in goalscoring form does not remove from the fact that Ings is not and will never be his equal as Bobbie is proven world class) just made mine and LoweLFC's point for us. Time to move on, my friend. I'm sure Ings himself, has.

Agree2 1Disagree

16 Dec 2018 18:36:00
Ings is a good lad and a good player. But he needs rhythm to be at his best. He wasn’t going to get it at Liverpool - it makes sense for him to move, especially to So’ton and I wish him the best.

Just thought i'd mention these reports coming out of Spain, the reports are that a Spanish team approached Dortmund enquiring about Pulisic and were told its impossible they already have a agreement with a English club for next season. This was a few days ago and now another Journalist has said this agreement is with Liverpool.

Any truth to this Eds that they have a agreement with a English club and that club possibly being Liverpool?

Agree0 1Disagree

{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you on Twitter about Liverpool I would think Andy.}

16 Dec 2018 14:21:01
I’d honestly only believe Pulisic would happen if one of our front 3 was to leave. No thanks, i appreciate what we have!

Agree3 0Disagree

16 Dec 2018 18:15:57
Spot on, AW. If all our big guns up top are staying and we just splurged on Keita and Shaq, Pulisic (who I would take in a heartbeat) ain't going to happen and I'm cool with it.

16 Dec 2018 12:53:33
{Ed001's Note - if he was just posting saying he had read it, that would be different. It is the false claims that are tiresome. }

This is my point from the begining, when he started posting stuff. But all I take is tumbs down and jumping on me to leave him posting his info. Finnaly.

Excited and nervous for today’s game, I really hope we do a job on them and get ourselves back to the top of the table. I really don’t think mourinho can afford to park the bus today, another defeat and I think united will be too far behind the top 4 to even challenge. I’m going for 3-0, salah first goal. Come on you reds!

How I see the game, either 0-1 for them or a trashing victory for us with 4+ goals. Its about if we break the line as I am sure there will be a bus parked. If we do early or in the first half we will trash them as they will open up, otherwise if we don't break the line it might be a ugly voctory for them. that's my opinion on todays game, let's hope we trash them. Enjoy the afternoon fellows and let's all cheer up for our boys.

16 Dec 2018 14:57:14
Jokes about how awful Man U are aside, we should win as long as the players don't let the pre-match talk hyping us up as massive favourites go to their heads.

Arrogance in football is usually punished and we don't want to bring any of it onto the pitch today.

16 Dec 2018 10:18:10
Now Stevie Gerrard as sent one player back he be looking loan any other players from squad.

16 Dec 2018 11:06:14
Ed001, any idea why Ovie is back? Was it Rangers decision due to a disappointing return? Or Liverpool's decision to g9ve us more depth during the winter period?

I have to be honest I've not followed Rangers progress at all so I've no idea if he's even been playing regularly.

Agree2 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - because he is a lightweight who never settled in Scotland and was afraid of the physicality.}

16 Dec 2018 11:56:01
Worrying Ed001. Sounds like he needs the Spanish Seconda division.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - it was a big mistake to sign him.}

16 Dec 2018 12:10:21
It’s worrying he didn’t seem up for the fight, can Imagine it’s physical up there but it’s can be in games in the premier league.

What do you think is next for him Ed001? A move abroad?

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - personally I think we just need to get rid. He is on far too much money for so little willingness or desire to make it.}

16 Dec 2018 13:00:43
Hi ed001, with Ejaria coming back and that Nigerian forward (Sadiq? I think) also sent back to Roma, do you think Rangers/ Gerrard will come in for Solanke? If so, do you think it will turn out to be a successful move?

Also, what's your opinion on how Gerrard has done so far as a manager at Rangers?

Cheers, hope you're having a good day.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - it is a possibility, not sure if it would be successful but I do think he needs to be on loan somewhere he will play. I am just not convinced he has anything much to offer, but Scotland is a good place for him to develop.

Tough one to judge Gerrard, good start but he seems to chop and change the team far too much and performances and results have dipped massively.}

16 Dec 2018 13:01:19
This kind of annoys me when I read this. These kids are give the chance that some could only dream of. And then don’t want to battle when life get a bit tuff.

Agree2 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - he spent most of his time in Scotland turning up late to training and then coasting through it and games. McAllister and him never saw eye to eye because of it.}

16 Dec 2018 13:20:53
Christ. Mentality of some kids. Need to learn life isn't a walk in the park and you need to fight for things in life.

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Dec 2018 14:27:47
Not defending the kid, but a tough physical sport as a means of livelihood is not for everyone, I guess. But it's not like he doesn't know or never knew what it was all about when he got into it. Life is all about taking the chances you are offered. Some you succeed with, and a lot you don't .

Agree0 1Disagree

16 Dec 2018 14:46:39
If he can't cut it against Physically tough teams like Dundee Livingston and Hamilton he's not going to hack it against the likes of Burnley or Cardiff I'm afraid. Looks to me like he's blown it . Playing in front of a full house Ibrox every fortnight was a huge opportunity for the lad to prove he had the minerals.

Agree0 0Disagree

16 Dec 2018 15:02:13
Tbh aray he’s probably already made a lot of money and may feel he’s made it. Talent gets you so far, attitude gets you the rest, Ronaldo and balotelli being opposite ends of the spectrum. Ronaldo was good but made himself the best, balotellitubby had so much potential but played with fireworks instead.
