I see people saying max Meyer would be good business, yeah he's free but wants silly wages and according to the video sky sports have of his 2017/ 18 stats he played 24 games zero goals zero assists and 9 chances created that's not a great return from attacking mid surely Fekir would be better business overall.

{Ed001's Note - I think he was playing defensive mid last season.}

Morning fellow reds and Ed’s. Long shot I appreciate but does anybody know of or have 2 tickets for any games this season that they won’t be able to attend, that I can buy? Don’t really like the thought of a resale site as I don’t like them profiteering, but more than happy to pay for the tickets, would need to be September onwards. Thanks for any help on this - and morning Ed’s, keep up the great work and ignore the wallies - much love 👍.

Good Morning Ed
Just read snippets from Jurgen's presser last night in which it suggests our business is done for this window.
I know people have asked the question and I have searched the site for answers, particularly Ed002's answers and can't find the answers so apologies up front for asking again.
Do you believe or expect there will be anymore players coming, in this window please?
Thanks Ed - keep up the great work.

{Ed002's Note - Yes - as I keep saying.}

22 Jul 2018 08:54:39
If Lyon were to come back with a deal to suit us regarding Fekir. Do you believe Klopp would consider it? . I sense this could be a slight tact of mind games from Klopp. He feels he as enough but if it's on Liverpool's terms then perhaps a deal can be struck.

Agree0 2Disagree

{Ed001's Note - are we really going to have to spend all our time answering questions about Fekir?}

Some of us don't spend all our time reading the site. I apologise for having a life and will just come to my own conclusion.

Agree0 3Disagree

{Ed001's Note - you could just read through what is already here and not be a prick and waste everyone else's time having to read repeated questions. Do you not realise what a selfish arse you are wasting my time with questions that have been answered a hundred times before because you are too damn lazy to read the site?}

22 Jul 2018 09:39:07
Just one thing about Fekir Ed001 😂.

I'm thinking a slight over reaction here and to call me a prick and an arse. Just asked a question and you act like a child. Any more or are you done?

Agree0 2Disagree

{Ed001's Note - your reply was childish and pathetic and got a similar reply. No one asked you to waste our time and yet you got all arsey when you didn't like the reply. Please just go away and troll somewhere else.}

22 Jul 2018 09:48:32
If you scrolled through the pages for less than one minute farmer you'd of found your answers mate. You wonder why the eds might get pissed off at times, wouldn't you with the same questions almost every other hour? after repeating yourself constantly? I sure would, pull your head out of your arse and have some respect.

Ed001, I was having a conversation the other day with a fellow red about Ryan Kent and I said he reminds me a lot of Mark Walters and he laughed and said I was being cruel
was Mark Walters really that bad and was I wrong to compare them? lol.

Agree0 1Disagree

{Ed001's Note - for us Walters was dreadful. Flattered to deceive a lot, but I can see the similarity with Kent right now. What we have to hope is Kent improves as he is still young.}

22 Jul 2018 08:15:27
I have a very strong feeling ryan kent will end up staying in scotland long term.

Di Marzio is a joke of a reporter it does my nut in when he comes on tv as he acts like he is in the know about every single club.

Great window. If we were going to sign another, my preference would be pulisic if available. Young, versatile, American market etc. Think he'd be great.

I don't think we need Fekir tbh.

22 Jul 2018 01:35:09
Pulisic would always be my number one, if only mate.

22 Jul 2018 05:31:44
Who'd have Sterling back?
Hands uo in class?
Me, there's one.

Agree2 17Disagree

22 Jul 2018 05:52:29
Pulisic would be a great option for us. Can play on either wing which would allow Salah to move up top and Bobby drops into CAM against bus parking teams. The price will be prohibitive though unless we offload all the surplus forward players (Ings, Sturridge, Origi, Kent, Ojo) .

Agree0 1Disagree

22 Jul 2018 06:44:05
Pulisic can play the AM too. He's played there for the US national team. Don't think he's moving this window. From reading and hearing interviews he seems to think Dortmund is the best place to grow. I think he's probably right. To many youngsters go to a big club to early.

22 Jul 2018 06:54:14
I would love us to buy Mikel Oyarzabal from Sociedad in spain
Kid looks like he has a massive future and scored a very impressive 12 goals last season
Only 21 so lots of improvements to come also.

Agree1 0Disagree

22 Jul 2018 08:53:27
Klopp gave a pretty detailed response in the press conference yesterday that Pulisic needs to stay at Dortmund for his development. So no chance in this window.

I cannot remember me being this excited about a new season the day we signed Jurgen Klopp.

He has turned this club around in a very short space of time.

You look back at how LFC has fallen down the ladder season after season over the years. Yes no silverware as yet but I have a feeling it will come this season.

Considering were the club was when Klopp took over.

Believe!

Its unreal how much better we are than the day rodgers left. i've said it before but is there anyone who could have taken over that side in 2015 and be in the position we are now not even 3 years later?

Agree10 0Disagree

22 Jul 2018 00:12:33
There probably could have been tbh. but klopp feels like a perfect fit for us.

Also, we haven't won anything yet. We're just continuing the steady progress we've been making since klopp arrived. Trophy or not this season, the progress is obvious.

Agree5 0Disagree

22 Jul 2018 06:47:38
Surely a trophy Will be minimum expectation this year given the outlay?

Agree2 1Disagree

22 Jul 2018 07:15:48
I don't think we've done enough as a club to say that bare minimum expectation is a trophy. I mean we still have to show that we can win a trophy first. that might not even happen this season. and if doesn't, if that is the minimum expectation, then do we just rip it up next year? minimum for me now is that we challenge for prem and are in the race for the cups (make semi, final etc)

There's a new video up on you tube for lfc. The rumour is next summer we are buying back sterling for £81 million.
This is why I stick with this site for my information.
Why would someone go through the effort to make such a nonsense video?

Agree9 1Disagree

{Ed002's Note - Sterling is available to be sold.}

21 Jul 2018 22:15:13
LOL, Sterling is a spoiled brat. No wonder Pep wants rid of him but not sure there will be any takers as he is earning far too much.

{Ed002's Note - I never suggested that there was any chance of that happening.}

21 Jul 2018 22:58:26
It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up somewhere like Spurs/ Arsenal or abroad. As long as it's not Liverpool I'm not fussed, I think we all know he won't be back here though.

Sterling has always struggled with his finishing. it just isn’t good enough IMO.

Agree7 1Disagree

21 Jul 2018 23:29:26
Unlikeable person with a clown agent. but a very good player! misses a lot of chances but he's still young, Salah sure as hell missed as many if not more at his age. Twenty three goals last year from wide is nothing to be sniffed at. I said weeks ago i'd take him back but like has already been said, very little chance of him ever playing for us again.

Agree4 4Disagree

21 Jul 2018 23:52:29
Who would pay big money for sterling!? I’m sure he’s available but the guy hasn’t improved since he left us. Still can’t finish his breakfast.

21 Jul 2018 23:53:22
£81m? No thanks. Free transfer? Maybe as bench cover.

He’ll earn a lot of money from football but not a lot of friends 👍.

Newcastle will go for him. Two year loan deal to keep the fans appeased.

Agree2 1Disagree

22 Jul 2018 00:14:04
He scores a fair few goals for a guy who can't finish. I think ya'll give him too hard of a time. He just needs maturity, he already has the skill. scary to think what the next level of his game looks like.

Agree2 5Disagree

22 Jul 2018 01:18:44
I read somewhere that he should be one of the top earners at the club and should get paid accordingly. He's on just short of £200k per week and has 2 years left on his contract and wants a raise. He probably can't support his 23 kids.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't have lots of kids at all.}

22 Jul 2018 01:52:43
Maybe he could go United as they can spend that kind of money and he can continue the downward spiral in his career path: it’s a win : win.

Agree1 0Disagree

22 Jul 2018 05:25:30
downward spiral after winning the league? yes downward spiral indeed. I get the hate and banter against raheem, but for me he was a kid when he was with us is still a kid now. he is heading into the early - mid 20s now when he is going to mature. I look forward to seeing him take another step forward in his career, he's done pretty well so far for a kid.

Agree4 4Disagree

22 Jul 2018 06:02:38
Citeh won the league not Sterling.

Sterling has stalled in his performance levels and the early potential has not been realised

Why are Citeh happy to sell him?

They know his value and it is less to them than he thinks he is worth.

Would Sterling replace any of our forward players: I don’t see it myself.

Agree1 1Disagree

{Ed001's Note - what would Sterling offer to us? Pace? Mane and Salah are quicker and better. He still can't kick a ball properly. He is still too fond of throwing himself to the ground far too easily. Sterling is simply just not good enough to get in the Liverpool side, he was only good enough to get in the City side because they had no pacey options on the right to pick over him. If Guardiola had signed the players he wanted, Sterling would have been straight out of the door. As it was, Pep was happy to get rid of him last summer if there had been anyone willing to pay the price City were asking. Even without a direct replacement. That should tell you something.}

22 Jul 2018 08:42:47
Yep Ed001, it tells us we sold him at the right time.

Agree1 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - exactly. Good luck to the lad, but he is the past and should remain that way.}

22 Jul 2018 09:29:16
Absolutely. Can’t think of anyone off the top of my head who has returned and been as good as when they left. Even Fowler and Rush weren’t the same players when they returned.

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed001's Note - I can't think of anyone either.}

22 Jul 2018 09:32:19
Running fast appears to be Sterling's sole attribute. Big fuss made of his goalscoring exploits last season, with the likes of De Bruyne and Silva pulling the strings there's plenty of tap-ins to be had.
Sterling showed his level at the World Cup, run fast with the ball, mostly ending up on his backside within a dozen paces, zero goals and zero assists.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 Jul 2018 21:44:19
Hi Eds,

Do you expect Alisson to be our final addition this summer? Or will we go after a new player to replace the role coutinho played? I also want to ask you your thoughts on Sturridge potentially playing as a number 10, think he would suit the role as he is no longer quick enough to play up top in my opinion.

Agree1 4Disagree

{Ed002's Note - I have answered the first question and if the team is to include DS then who drops out?}

21 Jul 2018 21:57:51
Keita, Henderson, Fabinho, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

That is likely how our midfield and attack will line up.

Sturridge at no 10? I highly doubt it.

Agree3 0Disagree

21 Jul 2018 22:07:49
Asensio, Dybala and Griezmann will probably miss out ed 😉.

Agree9 0Disagree

21 Jul 2018 22:24:59
Why can’t Sturridge play games as striker, with Firmino?

Agree1 3Disagree

21 Jul 2018 22:46:42
Firmane, who goes to the bench if Sturridge starts?

Agree0 0Disagree

21 Jul 2018 23:06:25
Sturridge seems to be dropping deeper and taking on more of a playmaker role in the warm ups to be fair. I can see him being effective as a second striker alongside someone, but his fitness is his issue, not his ability.

Agree1 0Disagree

21 Jul 2018 23:18:00
@maxlfc

Personally, I do see the need for two defensive midfielders in england, but if Klopp decides to take a different angle on the team, I could very well see DS starting and firmino falling back into no 10, with Naby and Fabinho behind him.

Agree1 1Disagree

21 Jul 2018 23:25:30
Benny, Sturridge is made of glass plus Henderson, why on earth leave him out?

Unfortunately you cannot rely on a player like Sturridge. Start him and 15 minutes later you need to sub him. Sad but true.

Agree4 1Disagree

21 Jul 2018 23:25:30
He was playing pushed up on the central defenders against Blackburn getting fed by keita making darting runs in behind were he should be, that's were he looks best, I am preying a miracle will happen an he can stay fit hungry an very beneficial too us, can't see it though unfortunately.

Agree1 0Disagree

21 Jul 2018 23:57:33
Can’t believ we’re having a conversation on where studge will play? The guy wil be injured by week 3 of the season if we don’t sell him. Sad as it is but the guy has been averaging about 15 appearance ( including off the bench) in the last 3 years. You can’t possibly plan a season with him with that record.

Agree3 1Disagree

22 Jul 2018 00:15:19
Is it me or are we obsessed with a #10.It's a cool Jersey number, but in reality we don't play a #10.

Agree2 1Disagree

22 Jul 2018 08:15:55
Interesting to see people counting Milner out again. Personally I thought he had his best LFC season with us last year and finished top of the CL assists charts and has again set records with his fitness performances in pre season. Personally I believe he offers more than Henderson but that’s just my view point.
