After seeing what Benteke did today to cost Palace 3 points, I am even more glad we got rid of the useless lump than ever! What a tit.

Believable21 Unbelievable6

09 Dec 2017 19:45:47
Ed1 I have not seen it mate, was it that bad?

{Ed001's Note - awful mate, it was embarrassing.}

09 Dec 2017 19:48:46
Very forthright of you this evening Ed001 . šŸ˜œ.

09 Dec 2017 21:30:49
This was the stinking attitude that Benteke has always had even at Villa. Benteke showed who he really was while he was here as he was not interested in upping his game as he is lazy, entitled and thinks the team should work for him and he does not have to do damn thing by himself. Klopp got rid and and see why. Bang awful player with a disgusting attitude and thank heavens it took a fine manager like Klopp to see him for who he really his and get rid.

09 Dec 2017 22:33:26
What was worse the ego to put himself in that position or the penalty itself?

{Ed0333's Note - Worst penalty Iā€™ve ever seen in my life. I honestly think Philip Scholfield could have done better than that.

10 Dec 2017 07:53:31
No messing about I had a Ā£5 acca going and palace was the only one who let me down for Ā£240.benteke what a plonker šŸ¤”.

10 Dec 2017 09:36:50
Look up Peter Devine if you want to see the worst penalty ever.

10 Dec 2017 08:01:47
I think even Phillip Neville could have done better Ed.

09 Dec 2017 18:25:34
Hi Edā€™s, I am a Liverpool fan but I also have a soft spot for Pompey!
I noticed we have Chelsea u21 in the Efl cup next, what are your thoughts of them being allowed in the cup do you see it as a progressive move to integrate into the first team or not.

And did Liverpool reject the opportunity to join the trophy?

Thanks.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - the idea of U21s in that comp has devalued what was a decent enough comp for the lower league sides with a big day out at Wembley. It has turned it into a joke and they should drop it immediately.}

09 Dec 2017 18:19:32
Good to see Ojo getting minutes and a goal, happy to see him showing some form recently!

Hereā€™s hoping next year we can use one of Ojo Kent or Wilson as an option in the front line!

Believable19 Unbelievable2

09 Dec 2017 18:56:03
So glad to see ojo doing well. He seems to have all the talent in the world and didn't look far off first team at end of klopps first season. Would be good to have him as a back up for our current forwards next year.

09 Dec 2017 19:13:32
I agree if the edā€™s Can correct me he was named one of the top talents in the world a few years back?

{Ed001's Note - correct.}

09 Dec 2017 19:36:07
Thanks for the reply!

What are your thoughts about Kent? He seems to not be getting much game time in Germany?

{Ed001's Note - he has always been surrounded with criticism for lacking that desire needed. Flashes of quality between long periods of anonymity and that is going to cost him unless he ups his workrate.}

09 Dec 2017 18:07:12
Naby keita appears to have refound some form lately, albeit just looking at match ratings, looking forward to having him join!

The 30 players are selected.
When 002 gets 10 minutes, a live chat will be setup in which ed001 and ed002 face-off in selecting who will be in their 15 for next years charity game!
Do I want to be in ed001s team with scouse passion, or 002s with his disciplined tactical nouse. I can't decide!
Stay tuned.

09 Dec 2017 17:35:20
Where can we watch it Benny?

09 Dec 2017 18:02:42
Ed 01 will use his contacts and get Lfc scouts watching. If youā€™re a defender that isnā€™t a camel, thereā€™s a chance youā€™ll have a new career!

09 Dec 2017 18:38:35
Hopefully 7pm tomorrow if all goes to plan. It may be ed00 speaking on behalf on 002. He's an extremely busy man.

09 Dec 2017 21:07:48
Where is this going to be? Would be up for watching.

09 Dec 2017 21:14:44
Ps, If anyone drops out I would t mind in. You probably don't want girls, but I could do a job. šŸ‘šŸ».

09 Dec 2017 21:26:23
Kate, click my name and find the post with all the info. I'm sure we can find a space, you could take the team to new wuthhering heights.

09 Dec 2017 22:01:34
Cheers Benny.
I think I've emailed you (my hotmail is playing up) .
Please let me know either way?
Thanks. šŸ˜Ž
Babooshka.

10 Dec 2017 07:31:08
Can I just say what we're all thinking? Who uses hotmail anymore?

{Ed001's Note - I think you should take that back. Most of the people on here don't think!}

10 Dec 2017 09:34:49
You didn't get back to me benny, there's your chance gone to see my silky skills plus the opportunity for some of the regular posters to try and kick lumps out of me.

09 Dec 2017 14:29:38
Spectacular performance from Winston Reid vs Chelsea. Also, Zabaleta did well against Hazard today.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

09 Dec 2017 14:35:43
Great result West Ham we just need to do our part now and hammer Everton tomorrow.

09 Dec 2017 14:46:53
Was a great match to watch, WH showed a lot of guts.

Take nothing for granted, we have to be up for it tomorrow but we have a chance to go joint third with a Manchester Derby to reign in one or both above. Letā€™s make the most of the opportunity.

09 Dec 2017 15:53:20
I knew Moyes still had it in him!

09 Dec 2017 21:34:42
Credit to WH today as they showed up Chelsea and Conte for who they really where, a bunch of pre-madonnas who were not up to the challenge. Also, they showed Chelsea up to be for now, a one man team cos Hazard was poor today and when he is not on, they ofen struggle like they did vs Swansea when Hazard was rested. They did not even create any great chances of note as Adrian did not have a save of note to make. Up to us now to do the business and we will be 3rd by the end of the day tmrw.

09 Dec 2017 12:46:56
Can any eds or posters clear up this rule. Morata has just done a shocking dive against west ham. He also did one in his last game which was just as embarrassing. My question is why hasn't he got a ban but niasse did?
Is it only if you win the penalty? Because both of morata dives were waived away?
How does the rule work?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Dec 2017 13:08:22
He could be punished retrospectively -like Niasse.

09 Dec 2017 13:08:47
Benny thought it was down to the panel to give retrospective action, but if the ref gives a yellow there could be no further action. I also think that they only punish if the ref has been decieved.

09 Dec 2017 13:33:17
Aren't there some kind of rules about whether he writes In his report if he saw it or not?

09 Dec 2017 13:38:48
For me it's ridiculous the way a red can be recinded but a yellow can't be turned into a red retospectively. The officials can't see everything and the more help they can get the better, also players will eventually stop trying to con the ref cause the negatives out weigh the positives.

09 Dec 2017 14:02:53
He can only be punished retrospectively for ā€œsuccessfully deceivingā€ the ref. The penalty incident last week involving Morata that I saw was a nailed on penalty where he controlled the ball back to goal and the keeper nailed him from behind and nothing was given.

09 Dec 2017 16:37:36
If the ref hasnā€™t been deceived by the dive then he should be booking him for diving?

09 Dec 2017 11:18:25
Hey Edā€™s! But random but is there a specific way by which. A channel decides its pundits? I cannot see how ANYBODY can hire Phil Neville, he doesnā€™t know his mule from his elbow, heā€™s boring as sin and even as a player he was pretty darn poor, Owen is of a similar ilk but atleast he had talent on the pitch. Is it a case of whoā€™s avaialable or do the big wigs genuinely think supporters tune in to hear what these plebs have to say?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea. It really makes no sense.}

09 Dec 2017 12:15:06
i think what's worse is having them commentate on the games, most of these guys can barely articulate themselves properly and we're reduced to hearing the likes of gary neville and stan collymore screaming inaudibly at the top of their voices as if they're being dramatic or concise. don't get me started on joey barton.

09 Dec 2017 15:23:37
i agree its a disgrace, i actually haven't any time for any of the pundits in football today I started using bein because they use the darts guy as commentator and he's funny and talks about every player by their first name like they are besties. But the pundits on sky and bt are useless to listen to, look at the show the debate, which by its name you think they would have ex players managers from opposing teams having a debate yet they used giggs and p. neville to debate both derbies this weekend absolute joke.

09 Dec 2017 16:47:04
Half the matches I watch now have got Arabic or Italian commentators (thanks internet streaming) those I watch on tv usually have the sound turned down, commentary is so dull and pointless these days, they either just go ā€œHenderson, passes it to Moreno, back to Henderson, Moreno, Henderson, to mignolet, Henderson, back to Moreno, to henderson, to Lovren, back to Henderson, to mignolet, kicks it long, throw in to the oppositionā€ or they ask for the view of whatever ā€œexpertā€ is sat next to them who sounds (and I assume looks like) a deer in the headlights or if heā€™s just been asked to recite the periodic table backwards, we then hear this ā€œexpertā€ mumble about some nonesense about a high press or not closing the ball down quick enough, usually completely wrong and more than likely read off a sheet of pre-prepared answers from the studio.

09 Dec 2017 17:57:54
I actually don't mind Mcmanaman on bt to be fair.

09 Dec 2017 18:26:34
martin known when he says "hey, listen", which is a lot :0.

09 Dec 2017 18:42:30
Agree with livered mcmanaman is ok as a commentator pains me to say it but think the best pundit/ commentator is gary neville. Not biast tells it as it is. Cannot stand when you get owen (i want to kill myself) hargreaves and glenn monotone hoddle commentating on a game.

09 Dec 2017 21:35:41
Pat Nevin, whiney sycophant to Chelsea and Man U. Glenn Hoddle, great player but a pundit devoid of insight relies on stting bleeding obvious.

09 Dec 2017 21:38:51
The fact that a near nobody like Gareth Crooks (a bang average footballer in his time) has a pundit job at the BBC, tells you all you need to know about the quality of pundits we have in the English game. There's a reason Klopp always says that he could not give two flips of a coin about what a pundit says about him or LFC or his tactics. They are bang awful.

09 Dec 2017 22:09:43
I enjoy listening to home games on LFC radio commentary. John Aldo gets so excited and the commentary always makes the game sound better than it actually is!

09 Dec 2017 10:41:18
I hope Robertson gets a run of games now.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

09 Dec 2017 10:52:41
In fairness apart from Salah our summer signings Ox, Robertson and Solanke have all found minutes hard to come by.

09 Dec 2017 17:48:53
Agree 100% duffdog starting milner tomorrow would be a massive kick in the teeth for robertson. he's done well in games he has played this season. Ideal opportunity for the lad.

09 Dec 2017 21:40:24
Klopp does not think he is ready and frankly, I would play Milner there cos like it or not, Robbo will be targeted constantly vs Everton and so would Milner BUT at least Milner has the exp. to cope while I can not say the same for Robbo.

09 Dec 2017 08:31:16
Getting to that point in the season where the window is due to reopen. Have to say I'm intrigued who may come in. We all know we need a centre half and are expecting one to arrive. Most of us expect Coutinho to leave also. Given this who are the most realistic options?

I think we should be looking at the below some are long shots but we should at least enquire.

Van Dijk will always be mentioned.
De Vrij in last 6 months of contract.
Goretzka in last 6 months of contract.
Meyer in last 6 months of contract.
Sanchez in last 6 months of contract.
Lemar expensive but quality addition.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

09 Dec 2017 09:09:56
Has Meyer not signed a new contract for his current club?

09 Dec 2017 10:46:19
I think De Vrij signed a new contract with escape clause.

09 Dec 2017 10:55:17
De Vrij has signed a new contract, Jones.

09 Dec 2017 10:57:01
Sanchez is a top quality player but in fairness to our front 3 on current form he doesn't get into our team. Keeper and defence are the areas we need to improve in January and with Keita coming in at the end of the season that will strengthen the midfield, however with 2 key players possibly leaving that will give us chance to replace that area rather than try and and make whole sale changes in 1 window (Jan- def/ keeper, summer-midfield)

09 Dec 2017 12:31:43
I don't expect Couthino to leave in Jan. I think the club will keep him until the Summer.

09 Dec 2017 12:36:02
Sanchezis doing exactly what Coutinho is going at Liverpool! Why on earth would you have him at Liverpool? He is a proper sulk who doesnā€™t care a damn about his current club! Terrible attitude!

09 Dec 2017 14:16:14
Wait. Harry said that? The guy who has been obsessed with coutinho and just how amazing he is? Iā€™ll remember that you think coutinho is a proper sulk who doesnā€™t care a damn about his current club! Terrible attitude. Do you want him to stay or not?

09 Dec 2017 14:43:31
TJ

Ha ha! I am showing you some hipocrscy on this pages page šŸ˜„šŸ˜„šŸ˜„.

09 Dec 2017 21:41:59
Hang on a minute. Harry has been defending Cou for weeks now and now he has a terrible attitude like Sanchez? Wow, if hat was sarcasm then great. If not, I fear for you, mate.

10 Dec 2017 08:21:04
So do the people who thumbed down my comment disagree on the part that Sanchez wouldn't get into our front 3 or the part that we need to sort keeper or defence. Or was it that we would need to strengthen the midfield if Can and Coutinho leave. Or lastly they have no debate to give on a debate forum so it's easier to just to hit the thumbs down button. I think it's probably the latter šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚.

09 Dec 2017 07:16:17
Good Morning Eds
hope your all well
Ed 001
Sorry if it has been suggested already but could you do one of your articles on Robert Prosinecki.
Didnt actually realise he played for the two Spanish giants in la liga.
Also Jocelyn Angloma who was always one of my fave defenders from the great Marseille European Cup winning side,
Hopefully you can if not thank you as always as I know your busy doing other stuff.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - Prosinecki was already in there but I have added Angloma. Prosinecki will be interesting to do, I remember a number of players who played with him when he came to England being shocked that he would disappear to the toilets just before kick off and at half-time for a crafty ciggy!}

09 Dec 2017 07:32:57
cheers ed
I heard that in spain he never made it because his off the field habits held him back, not sure if this is true or not, that and the constant injuries he picked up.

{Ed001's Note - I had never heard anything of him not making it mate.}

09 Dec 2017 08:57:40
Morning Ed01, is Henrik Lar sson on your list please? One of my all time favourite forwards.

{Ed001's Note - for some reason he had been missed off (Ed007 would be mortified!) so I have added him now.}

09 Dec 2017 10:59:56
Prosinecki had his off the field issues and smoking was one of them. However, that did not stop him from having a pretty brilliant club and country career having turned out for both Real Madrid and Barcelona while being part of the Yugoslavia U-20 team that won the WC in 1987 with the likes of fellow Croatians like Boban (capt), Suker, Jarni and Stimac. I don't know if he could have been better than he was BUT for what he did do, he was absolutely brilliant and like his Croatian team mates like Suker, Asanovic, Stanic and Boban, made football seem effortless.

09 Dec 2017 14:10:57
Crafty ciggy, me being cricket follower had read Neil Fairbrother going to take a dump before every match and before his batting number lot of times English management had to search him franatically where he was and usually found taking the dump.

08 Dec 2017 21:08:26
Hi Eds, Iļø know he has signed a new deal but how is Grabara rated at LFC? Is seen to be a first choice keeper in years to come? Is he someone that Klopp is interested in promoting to the 1st team?

Thanks in advance!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - from what I have been told after asking, he is very highly rated, which is why he got the new contract, but he is more likely to go on loan than get promoted, unless we lose 2 keepers from the first team. Though that is not beyond the bounds of possibility in the summer.}

09 Dec 2017 06:50:08
Heā€™s potentially a very very good keeper.
