Hope Liverpool sign the players they need to improve the squad and challenge for the top 4.

Ultimately lets hope our luck can turn next season and have fewer injuries, especially Steven Gerrard who has been unlucky with injuries for the past two seasons.

Very strange i was just thinking about him today for liverpool and tht he could be a very good shout but he is only young and could well cost a bit especially as to my knowledge sevilla dnt need the money but i could be wrong

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Was thinking the same mate. They also have perotti on the left at times who likes to come inside, he looks very good also. Not sure if he'd be as effective on the right and i don't know about his crossing ability, just he's a cracking dribbler!

Just went to the Chelsea's rumors page. ha ha it's embarrassing. They think they are a BIG club and have lots of fans. Just compare their page to ours or even Manunited's. It'd take Chelsea thousand years to catch us up.

For wingers, i really rate Diego Capel of Sevilla. He's got a great left foot which would be ideal for our left hand side. Could cost a fair bit though and i doubt there's interest.

I'd like to see Ashley young fill the right hand side in, even though he has his off days sometimes, he still puts a great ball into the box which id what we need most if were going to get the best out of andy. I'd prefer Albrighton but he'd be well overpriced.

Thoughts are welcome!
Thanks
Stu.

Chelsea owner Abramovich may sell Torres the flop as £50m nightmare goes on

Roman Abramovich is already going cold on £50million flop Fernando Torres and will consider selling him in the summer.

But after losing to Manchester United in the first leg of their quarter-final in the Champions League last Wednesday, Abramovich's patience is wearing thin.

(Is it a dream coming true? Eds any comment?) {Ed001's Note - it is just nonsense.}

Seydoo keiter
Pavlichenko
Jeffersen farfan
Stuart downing ( for c. Mid instead of adams)
Jurado
Perotti and piatti ( not bargains ! ! )
l. Diarra
Sturridge ( can't believe he wasn't involved in Torres deal)
Vladimer wiess
Santi carzola.

What do you guys think?
- - - - - - - - -

That's quite possibly the worst 'bargain' list in history:

Seydou Keita: Old and rubbish.
Pavlyuchenko: Absolute rubbish.
Farfan: Decent but questionable attitude.
Downing: Rubbish and he's not a CM.
Jurado: Crap.
Perotti & Piatti: Great players, but why did you put them on your 'bargain' list if you don't think they're bargains?
Diarra: Decent player but awful attitude.
Sturridge: Average player, terrible attitude.
Weiss: Terrible player - already thinks he's better than Messi.
Cazorla: Hardly a bargain. Would go for £20m+.

When did I dictate how this page should be run.? NEVER. I just said the Ed's could make a page so it would save their time from having to write the same stuff over and over.

There has been a lot of posts from mancs about gerrards performance against west ham were most of the team under performed but if you cast your mind back to the eve of that game i posted that gerrard looked unfit and was playing with neoprene shorts under his lfc shorts a sure sign of muscle or groin injury and guess what since then he has required an op and is out now for the season.

Also this is a banter page not a numerical quiz page so drop the . . . . . .how many out of ten and discuss issues that relate to the club. By the macmanaman said on tv today that fowler was undecided on his future

Deepest sympathy to David Fairclough and his family

Why are people always telling others on this site to post "real" rumours? If rumours were real wouldn't they be known as facts and not rumours? If i posted that c.ronaldo, l.messi and s.aguero would be joining for a combined fee of £500k isn't it still a real rumour? Im confused.

Am i reading this right? Are you MPez (Manchester United fan/ idiot) trying to dictate to the Ed's, what to put on this site?

Incase it's escaped you notice MPez this is an LFC site. Were LFC fans can post whatever they wan't as long as it, is in the rules.

Somtimes MPez i really don't get you. Are you trying to wind us up, or are you really that thick? It has to be my 1st option, as no one surely can be that "thick" can they?

If you don't like what these great LFC fans post on here. Then i suggest you take your ball back and go play on the Man'ure site, were you fit right in.

I think that there are some great buys to be had this summer. I think that all the usual suspects that are being mentioned like young, Adam etc. . Won't actually happen but BIGGER and BETTER signings will come. It's not the Liverpool way or king kennys way to have our potential targets to be common knowledge. Expect some shock signings like meriless and Carroll .

Some potential bargains I hope we are considering.

Plus as my Dad always says he, "runs like a rat down a f*ckin' drainpipe"

Liverpool have needed wingers over the last few years but now we have a real target man in Andy Carroll we need people with the ability to pick out a cross rather than 'head down, hit the byline and wish for the best' wingers.

Which Lennon undoubtedly is.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
There's only one problem with Lennon imo mate. He couldn't cross his eyes, never mind a ball. We need wingers like Young, Johnson, Navas etc. Who all get to the byline and produce an end product (crosses).

Which Lennon undoubtedly can't.

Not sure about anyone else but does anyone else really want to see recycled BS lists on here for the Ed's to rate??

They are usually the names that have been added to this site within a goldfishes memory life span and the ratings offered are never questioned.

Id like to ask the Ed's; if you wish to indulge these kids in adding random numbers to lists, could you please provide a "key" so as we can measure each Ed's individual version of what a "6" is or what a "3" is compared to a "4" or a "2", otherwise, to a guy like me, it all seems random and guess work which surely negates your standing as Ed's (guys in the "know")

Not having a go fella's, just want a bit of structure to the mayhem. {Ed001's Note - to be honest mate, none of us eds actually like doing them at all, we mostly think they are a waste of our time and would gladly just not bother!}

Aaron Lennon has emerged as a target fot Liverpool in the summer. He's young, english, quick, provides pace and is apparently unhappy at Spurs. . What do you think Ed?

Sammm {Ed002's Note - I would have thought it unlikely - but I get bitched at for saying that. So a nailed on certainty.

Will people stop posting rumours about Lennon coming to LFC, He will not leave London, He has slagged off Liverpool before and Harry would not sell on of their star players to one of there rivals. And to be honest I would not really want him at Liverpool. Ross

Isn't kind of the role of the ed's to be knowledgable and offer insight or what's the point? I personally find it useful having the opinions of the ed's it offers realism to alot of the ridiculous rumpled you hear (nani for example) and their opinions on players espescially. I only get time to watch PL so info on whether players are any good is really helpful! Just my opinion.

Not a rumour, but who would like Rafa Benitez to replace Sammy Lee in the Summer as our assistant manager. Sammy could keep a coaching role at the club, but i think that Rafa could be a great manager under KK guidance. Rafa is still young, loves the club and could be our SAF given a chance. He was the first manager at the club to win a significant trophy in 2 decades and almost did it again in 2007. He also recorded our biggest points tally in the EPL ever. If it wasn't fot half the squad being sold to repay interst payments on debt, we'd have won the league by now. H&G for you. Rafa could be a legend. He isn't good enough yet, but all you need as a manager is passion and a football brain and the rest can be learned.

Somebody else took the words straight out of my mouth.

I too feel sorry for the Editors on this site. Infact, I also feel sorry for Readers, as it is such an annoyance.

Yous continually ask the Chances of the SAME player joining, every time!

Benzema, Young, Adam etc are asked about atleast 10 times a day. Take a look at other posts, take a note, and ask the Ed's every Month or So. .No every day.

The site is so clogged up with it.

Ed, you could make a new section and jist post the chances of players being linked to stop the Clogging of the website.

I, as a reader, find it terribly annoying, and I'm sure many others do too.

Ed, alot of people use names they think we are linked with and you seem to shoot down most of them, you may be right you may be wrong, opinions of course, let me tell all liverpool fans and i, ve supported them for 26 years, been season ticket holder, wembley finals, rome, instanbul, the lot, we are a minimum of at least 6 world class players to think of challenging for the title, and if were serious about winning the title, make it 8 or 9, what we forgot is while we will spend quite a bit in summer, so will man utd, arsenal, chelsea, etc who are already miles in front of us, we need to wake up, smell the coffee, it will take tens of millions of pounds, and that is spent very wisely by king kenny or whoever to even think of top 4, let alone better

In reply to:

"Hii.
A lot rumours and speculation for next summer tranfers now. Believe it KK will signed 4 or 5 players for next seasons. It will be a Left Back, can do attacking and good in defensive. A Centre Defensive Midfield will be add, good in for back cup defend and can do an attacking and good in passing. KK will add Centre Midfield, that will play along Gerrard and Meireles. Then need a good croossing wing to supply a ball to Andy Carroll. Another 1 or 2 striker will be add also.
May be :
Left Back - Baines, Taiwo, Enrique or Wendt
CDM - C.Adam, F.Gago, Mvilla
CM - Canales(loan), Erikssen, McCarthy or Kranjar
CB - Cahill, Mexes, Kjear, Sakho or Rolando
RM/ LM - Jarvis, Young, Lennon, Marin, Gaican, Nani, Mata, Turan, Elia or suprise player its will be KK and DC choice
FW - Lukaku, Wickham or Toivenen"

I was always a fan of Rafa, nobody can deny what he did for the club and he had (and still has) a special relationship with Liverpool the club and the city. However in footballing terms many stayed supportive of him for too long, his time came and went a I certainly do not miss him in terms of being our manager!

I reckon that we will probably finish 6th this season. With no Europe, i believe we need to start being a bit more realistic about potential signing and maybe look at taking the better players with Premier league experience from the teams likely to be going down and around us. With this in mind i think the following players are more realistic.

Apart from Adam and Young;

Lescott from Citeh (Left back/ central defensive cover)
Baines from Everton (Ideal, but don't think they will sell)
Hugo Rodallega from Wigan (Think he is a much better 3rd striker than N'Gog or even our beloved Kuyt).
Charles N'Zogbia from Wigan (Very talented player, good squad addition).
Matt Jarvis from Wolves (Great with both feet. Has the right attitude).

Ed would appreciate your thoughts and your choices from players in the PL.

YNWA {Ed001's Note - to be honest I don't think it is a good league to buy from, prices are just too high for players, such as N'Zogbia and Lescott, who are simply not good enough.}

Ed with all the talk of who people want to sign who would be your signings in the summe?r and try to be realistic plse

here are mine and they are all realistic targets

SUMMER INS

WENDT-FREE
M, VILLA-14M
DSUSDZAK-13M
YOUNG-12M
JARVIS-8M
MARVAUX-FREE

total 47m

there also maybe another striker but not to sure how much we will have to spend as there are always limits nless ur citeh {Ed001's Note - I would just like a couple of wingers, Pablo Hernandez and Diego Perrotti spring to mind. Central midfielder with bite, someone along the lines of Gary Medel. A left back, not convinced by Coentrao, seems defensively weak, I would prefer Aly Cissokho. And lastly another striker, someone who can play in a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2, maybe Hulk.}

ed wiv response to this i did say to be realistic, i have not really heard of medel, but a quick search on google and he seems a player we could do with, as for lb i would love for cissokho or baines but can't see the latter joining us, wingers i would much rather have some who r established in epl as shouldnt take to much time to settle, maybe albrighton, young, jarvis, johnson(wish), and finally for striker i just can't see us spending the money on hulk who i do believe would be an incredible coup, but i think that if he leaves porto he will go to someone playin in champs league, so i would opt for gervinho, barrios, lavezzi, or as back up odemwinge. and ed if this rumour about reina leaving who would you like? as personally i would want, ASSENJO, LLORIS, FOSTER, AKINFEEV, ADLER, NUER, WHO WOULD BE YOUR CHOICE?????? plse post ed wiv ur response

STARTING 11 FOR 2011/ 12 SEASON

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . REINA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

JOHNSON. . . . . .KELLY. . . AGGER. . . . . .CISSOKHO

. . . . . . . . . . .GAGO. . . . . . GERRARD. . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . JOHNSON. . . .SUAREZ. . . . . .YOUNG. . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CARROLL. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

SUBS- MARVAUX, CARRA, AYALA, WILSON, WISDOM, INSUA, SUSO, STERLING, COADY, SHELVEY, SPEARING, LUCAS, MEIRELES, KUYT, JARVIS, GERVINHO, ALBRIGHTON, PACHECO,

ED is this an epl winning team????????? {Ed001's Note - Asenjo would be my choice of replacement, he would not be overpriced and is a top quality keeper, though the Germans are better they would be more difficult to attract. I wouldn't even consider Foster or any English keeper, there is not one good enough right now. That team probably could win the league, on paper it is good enough that is for sure.}

@ MR EM , who said I was comparing the incidents ? It seems you are also an idiot. If you read the post properly, Rooney has not attacked anyone unlike Mr LFC who is bigger than the club and thinks he owns it. Gerrard is lazy and does not work hard enough for the team. Ed001 will back me up. Anyone watching Liverpool would think Kuyt was the one born and bred in Liverpool.

John
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
John i'm confused mate. Most of you Manchester United fans have said on numerous occasions "That we are a one man team" Now you're saying "Gerrard is lazy and does not work hard enough for the team" So what one is it?

No matter what you, me or anyone else thinks about Gerrard (off the pitch). On the pitch, for me personally i've not seen a player do so much on the pitch when his team needs him, like Steven Gerrard. If you can think of another player, i would like to know who you think has done more for (carried) their team?

Blair Mayne YNWA

@He is lazy, in the Westham game he didn't deserve to be on the pitch. He didn't look interested, he should have looked at Scott Parker's performance on how to give 100% for your team.Whats your view on this Ed? {Ed002's Note - Don't drag me in to this.}

@ I was looking for Ed001, I know he agrees with me on this.

Been thinking about who could replace Reina should he leave in the summer and i reckon Green could do a great job with decent defenders in front of him, he would also be sensibly price

Are you having a Giraffe, he had Englands best in front of him last year and look what happened, Reina won't leave & if he does, then we can discuss.

corkpoolred

He wants to leave mate. Where there is smoke there is fire. Should we allow another Spaniard to dictate what the club must do?

I reckon Manuel Neuer is the best keeper in the world at present. If the Yanks are cheap @sses then Ben Foster (who has improved plenty this year) or Hennesy perhaps.

No1SAfan

He may move, but I very much doubt we will sign Robert Green, I actually don't know what keeper I would go for. I agree with you though that Neuer is a quality keeper.

{Ed002's Note - I am giving an opinion based on (a) whether there has been recorded interest in the player by Liverpool; (b) whether there has been recorded interest by other clubs; (c) whether the player is able to be transfered - work permit, part-ownership considerations etc.; (d) whether the player is likely to want to make the move; (e) whether the club will sell etc. It is not a case of being pessimistic about anyone - some players are not realistic targets. Messi, Ronaldo, etc are not going to move to Liverpool whatever you think. As for Hamsik, I rated his chance of moving to Liverpool as "most unlikely" which is perfectly reasonable. There is no known interest from Liverpool, although some from Manchester United and Chelsea. Napoli are having a good season and do not need to sell (he is contracted to 2015) and the player seems happy. His value would be rather higher than £20M. So it is not being pessimistic - just realistic. Feel free to ignore my responses.}

*********************
Thanks for the response Ed. Wasn't having a go at you and wouldn't want to ignore your responses.

Perhaps the confusion comes in between a) The chances of the player coming to LFC if LFC were interested and b) The chances of LFC being interested and paying what he will cost.

I think most people are actually asking "What would our chances be if we did try for a certain player" and your answers include knowing that there is no interest at present - hence low scores most of the time. For example: What are the chances of us signing Hamsik a) if LFC were prepared to pay 25m then 7/ 10. b) thinking that LFC are not interested in the player and him costing 25m 2/ 10. Does that makes sense??

Anyways, I think we will get a few suprises with a coupe of big signings. I think a 20m+ LB from Portugal will be one. Just a hunch.

I know most will prob disagree but I reckon major clear-out this summer 10 - 15 players. Get in about 8 new one's and play the youngsters more next year. Next season with no europe will be a season to gel the squad and get them playing pass and move again whilst getting back into top 4.

My outs would be:
Jovanovich, Cole, Aquilani, Ngog, Maxi, Konchesky, Poulsen, Kyrgiakos, Insua, Poulsen, Aurelio, Degen, El-Zhar & a few reserves.

In's would be:
LB, CD, DM, CM, AM, LW, RW & CF.

And I would like:
Coentrao
Cahill
M'Vila
Adam
Honda
Jarvis
Payet/ Albrighton
Benzema

I know it would probably be 100m+ but we could recoup maybe 25-30m in sales. Not likely I know, but we can all dream ;-)

So Pepe is leaving a great club who have had a couple of dark years but who are on the up to go to a club who are going through behind the scene ownership problems, and managment problems(ie he hasn't won dit squidley squat for years). . to play in the champs league. . to never win it! ! ! And on top of that their best players, ie fabrigas and Arshaven are subject to transfer talk and their star striker only plays half a season because of injury! ! Well if he does think that they are a better bet let him go cause he must have screw loose! ! Pinhead.

Question for Ed002.

No disrespect mate, but you seem to not rate our chances with any top players. Why is that?

Hamsik for example would be a perfect StevieG replacement. he is a terrific player. Are you saying that if Kenny wanted a long term replacement for StevieG, NESV wouldn't shell out 15m to 20m for him? Do you know how much NESV will spend?

How come City managed to attract top players whilst not in CL? Yes lots of money, but they are half the club we are. I am not saying we will splash cash like them, but we will perhaps splash some cash. Just think you are very pessimistic all the time.

No1SAfan

- - - - - - - - -

Of course I wasn't being serious. I was just alluding to the fact that Kuyt contributes more to the team than Aaron Lennon ever would. Next season I expect Kuyt will move, as you suggest, into the fringes of the first-team squad and act as 4th choice striker (behind Suarez, Carroll and AN Other) and as general attacking back-up.

Ed do you think we have a chance of the following being signed over the next 18 month period?

As our midfield would be brilliant if we did.

S. Defour Standard Liege. (roughly 12 million)
E. Banega Valencia. (roughly 14 million)
S. Canales Real Madrid. (roughly 10-12 million)

With Marvuaex signed and another quality winger added to go with the above, plus the emergence of Suso, Sterling and Coady gradually coming through that would be some midfield for years to come.

{Ed002's Note - There is a chance I suppose.}

Gerrard is our heartbeat, and although I believe he will be wearing a Liverpool jersey in September I will still try and give my opinion, the Eds are saying money ain't a option so we try for players, past transfer dealing have proved that if you play hard ball with Madrid then they will fold. Why not go for the lot and get Benzema and Marcelo for Gerrard? Who knows what will happen, I want Gerrard to stay put but I just said i'd give my opinion, what 2 players would you pick that could be a possible deal Ed??

Lennon is a truly, truly awful player. He hasn't improved on his final ball because he doesn't have one - he can't cross, shoot, pass or have the ability to track back and successfully challenge an attacker.

£15m would be daylight robbery. I'd take him for £5m - but he'd have to settle for a place on the bench and play as an understudy to Dirk "Flying Dutchman" Kuyt.

Martin
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

He isn't awful at all. He terrorises full backs with his pace & trickery. & I've seen him deliver some quality balls.

Obviously he's not my first choice (probably not anyones), there's quite a few I'd pick over him. But if he were to come in then I think he would do well for us. I'd love for us to Marc Albrighton, he has everything a winger needs.

'Real are willing to offer both Lassana Diarra and Fernando Gago plus cash for Steven Gerrard. Jose is desperate to get Gerrard and could be an excellent deal for us. Two young world class centre mids for a Gerrard who's best years are firmly behind him. Although gerrard is a legend, I think it would be mutually beneficial if he moved on now.'

Lot of people not believing this one, but it is not a million miles off the truth - A good friend of mine who lives in Madrid, told me a few months back that all the talk around the club is about who is coming in the summer, and the general belief is that a deal has already been sealed for Gerrard. LFC HAVE been offered both the players mentioned above, but only want one of them (as they play in the same position) and the preference is, surprisingly, Gago (only a surprise because of his recent injury issues and I think Diarra is a better player) - We have enquired about the following as part of the deal: Arbeloa (doubtful, as he left 'partly' because he was homesick) - Caneles (poss) - Benzema (was poss before he hit a little form).
= = = = = = =
if this was to hgappen i'd have gerrard for gago and drenthe

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has made a verbal agreement with A-League club Perth Glory to play another season.

The soon-to-be 36-year old, currently in his homeland assisting with the efforts of League Two club Bury FC, spent the 2010/ 11 A-League season with the Glory after his first season in Australia with the now defunct North Queensland Fury and will now go around again.

A Glory spokesman said that Fowler had made it clear he wants to play again although admitted a deal had not yet been signed.

As you know we have made an offer to Robbie Fowler on reduced terms for next season, " said the spokesperson.

"Liverpool will make an audacious bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon this summer for £15million."

If this were to happen, I'd be happy. He's exactly what we need; lightening pace, natural wideman and over the past 18 months he's really improved on his final ball. Yes please!

YNWA

- - - - - - - - - -

Lennon is a truly, truly awful player. He hasn't improved on his final ball because he doesn't have one - he can't cross, shoot, pass or have the ability to track back and successfully challenge an attacker.

£15m would be daylight robbery. I'd take him for £5m - but he'd have to settle for a place on the bench and play as an understudy to Dirk "Flying Dutchman" Kuyt.

This is a question for the editor john henry stated that he couldnt believe how little depth of players we had in our squad and we clearly need to get rid of a few players so that equals a lot of business in and out do u think that they will spend big on quality or big on potential i really can't wait to see what happens thanx

{Ed002's Note - The club will be driven by the need to improve the squad not by "spending big". If young players who can improve the squad can be picked up for a good price then this is what we will see.}

Yes he has admitted himself that he has not had his best season on the GOAL SCORING front, which is true.

It is not Goal Scoring I am on about, it is all around play. He has done more for Manchester United this season than the whole of Liverpool's first XI.

He has brought more into his game this year.

Humiliation.? Shame.? Embarrasment.? From my point of view, and many other Manchester United fans views he has not.

Ed002 I asked you yesterday which left and right wingers you would like us using in our first team, you said Payet and Merveaux.

I rate Payet highly but I am wondering about Merveaux. He's a decent player, not amazing brilliant but decent.

If we want to challenge for the top 4, haven't we got to get players that would get into top 4 teams. Merveaux would not get in any of the top 5 teams in the premier league.

On a separate matter would everyone like to see the FA and referees officate on a stricter basis, player behaviour and manager behaviour (mainly man u of course) is shocking and they get away with weak punishements all the time. The FA should operate a zero tolerance policy on and off the pitch as per rugby union - it is time the FA stepped up and sorted out the english game it has been goining on far too long ! ! Eds what do you think?? {Ed002's Note - I think there is a better balance that could be achieved than "zero" tolerance would give. Hello from Melbourne. I have been wondering as to why there seems to be a glut of injuries to our players. Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't there a a 'coup' of sorts when it was announced that Liverpool had brought on board a new Medical team from Australia ?
However, something seems to have gone wrong, because we seem to have more injuries than in previous seasons, and to the better players at that.Any thought on the matter ?

I guess it is my own personaly opinion that I beleive he has too much Talent to be playing in the Europa League.
Although, he will never be Spain's number one. With Casillas, and De Gea coming through strong, it is very unlikely.

I don't know whether I see him leaving or not. I think Torres was the one keeping him there, and now he is gone, he MAY follow suit.

@He is lazy, in the Westham game he didn't deserve to be on the pitch. He didn't look interested, he should have looked at Scott Parker's performance on how to give 100% for your team.Whats your view on this Ed? {Ed002's Note - Don't drag me in to this.}
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
If Scott Parker is the only one you can think off mate, then you are thicker than i thought. To even try and put Scott Parker in the same paragrath is just grasping at straws.

Stevie has carried us in the CL, Scott Parker has not even played in the CL. Stevie has carried us for the last 10 years in the PL, Scott Parker coudn't even get a game for Chelksi. Stevie has been one of the best CM's of all time, Scott Parker is not even World Class. Stevie has won the PL Young Player and PFA "fans" player of the season, Scott Parker has not

I'll admit this is Scott Parkers best season in the PL BUT to say that he's on the same page as Stevie is again laughable. Scott Parker is just like Charlie Adam imo because he just looks better compared to the crap he's playing with. But both are still half decent players.

Now think about it again and come back with another footballer mate because for me your argument is futile. If that's the best you can do with "Scott Parker".

Gerrard found not guilty of affray
England footballer Steven Gerrard has been found not guilty of affray by Liverpool Crown Court.

The Liverpool captain admitted hitting Marcus McGee (34), in a bar last December and a jury at the city s Crown Court accepted his explanation that it was in self-defence

now if i am not mistaken not guilty means not guilty.

************
Self defence is when someone attacks you and you retaliate to protect yourself or when you feel threatened and feel you have to protect yourself. Why would a man feel threatened by a DJ in a bar who has not touched him?? Now we all know it was because the DJ refused to play (Barbie Girl), so he attacked him. The fact he was at Liverpool Crown Court helped him massively.

Not guilty does not mean innocent. what he did was very disgraceful and just because he was not found guilty does not make it ok.

S. Canales Madrid
P. Mexes Roma (free)
E. Banega Valencia or S. Defour Liege.
A. Sanchez. Udinese or E. Hazard Lillie.
S. Marvuaex Rennes (free)
G. Clichy Arsenal or L. Baines Everton.
K. Honda CSKA.

With Suso, Sterling and Coady emerging next season I think our above signings would make our midfield exceptional.

Would love to see a midfield of Banega, Canales, Sanchez and Defour would be a midfield that could play a decade with each other.

Can you confirm any interest in the above midfielders Ed. P.S good work {Ed002's Note - There is no specific interest in any of them that I know of. Banega and Defour may be viable - although Defour looks like he is heading to benfica. Canales may be available for a lona and Sanchez is not an option. Lot of people not believing this one, but it is not a million miles off the truth - A good friend of mine who lives in Madrid, told me a few months back that all the talk around the club is about who is coming in the summer, and the general belief is that a deal has already been sealed for Gerrard. LFC HAVE been offered both the players mentioned above, but only want one of them (as they play in the same position) and the preference is, surprisingly, Gago (only a surprise because of his recent injury issues and I think Diarra is a better player) - We have enquired about the following as part of the deal: Arbeloa (doubtful, as he left 'partly' because he was homesick) - Caneles (poss) - Benzema (was poss before he hit a little form).

. . . . . .

If stevie was to go which I doubt he will , it would have to be straight swap with benzema.

You shouldn't be so dismissive of something just because you don't like it!

Ed's,

Do you know what contract Aureillo signed last year with us and if it was performance based/ performance based on a 2nd year (I'm sure that's all Rafa was offering him b4 he left)?

Also it's stated that Flanagan is the nearest reserve to the 1st team but is Robinson (left back - youngest player to play) considered close (if he's returned from his injury)?

Thanks

Hoola {Ed001's Note - as far as I know Fabio's contract was a straightforward one, the previous one offered was a pay as you play but Roy, in his infinite wisdom, decided a player that only plays twice a season was worth a full contract. As far as I am aware Robinson has yet to be considered as ready, though that might have to change due to the injuries and lack of left back cover.}

Thanks Ed. . we have a lot to thank Roy for :o/

Ed whats the deal with lennon? Will we go for him? Talk is we might for 15 mil, kenny wants to take advantage of what happened with real in midweek. Id rather him than A. Young, lennon would offer more width.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but by the time we get to the end of the season everyone will have forgotten his bleating on Twitter if they have not already.}

Ed, Hulk has said that he would jump at the chance to play in the premier league. Who is most likely to sign him from the pl? Im not hinting at liverpool coz he simply wouldn't fit in with liverpool coz he would offer no width and we need width. {Ed002's Note - Manchester United, Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester City seem viable options.}

John
= = = = = = = = = = = = =

Well you got that wrong Gerrard was proven innocent! And ''Rooney has not attacked anyone''? What about James Mccarthy? If your little thug is so innocent why did Coca- Cola issue this statement. . . . ."Coca-Cola will have acted after weighing up the damage being done to their reputation by being associated with him. It's a huge brand and there is only so much the bosses will put up with'' They won't even associate with the foul mouthed hooligan

If you continue to defend him then you truly are an Idiot!

I'm by no means attenpting to start an argument, I want to ask a sensible question.

All you Liverfool fans claim Pepe Reina is the best Keeper in the Premier League. If so then he must be one of the best Keepers in the World. If this is the case then he is too good to be playing Europa League football, and to improve his National team chances he would have to be playing in the Champions League, and also because he Should be as of his talent.

Therefore, do you not see him leaving this summer to accomodate this?

Ed, your view?

MPez {Ed002's Note - It is ridiculous.}

09 Apr 2011 01:47:42
We can't lose pepe in the summer, it would be worse than when we lost xabi and we still ain't replaced him. It don't matter who we sign we would be taking a huge step in the wrong direction. He is one of the best keepers in the world and he has years left in him.

@He is lazy, in the Westham game he didn't deserve to be on the pitch. He didn't look interested, he should have looked at Scott Parker's performance on how to give 100% for your team.Whats your view on this Ed? {Ed002's Note - Don't drag me in to this.}

@Blair you are an idiot everything above that you have said about Rooney Gerrard has done and more. Rooney has not hit out at a DJ for no reason and GOT away with it. You say no-one is bigger than LFC Gerrard is bigger than LFC he walks round the club as though he owns it, at least Rooney works hard on the pitch tracking back, winning the ball back, defending, Gerrard is lazy the team does better without him and Ed001 will back me up on this. Drogbas case was completly different he swore at the ref repeatedly and showed no respect towards him at all.

John

i have something else to add, john. . rooney has history what did he say to the camera after a world cup game,

*****

Rooney doesn't have a history of attacking innocent people or being lazy

john please remove your fergie/ wenger glasses and get your facts straight

@Blair, Scott Parker has carried Westham most of the season , he has been excellent for them, not even you, can argue with that Blair.

Hi eds and all
What do u thimk the chances are of liverpool getting gareth bale for left back i know it may seemed far fetched and i am pretty sure u and others will say dream on but does he not fit the mold of player we want at this club, and exactly the age and quality the owners want hes british and i think he is a viable option for furthering our intent, and he would solve our left wing/ left back problem in one if you think about it he would cost 30 to 40 million but he is the best winger on the left and possibly the best left back/ wing back in the prem other than evra and cole.
It would cost us near 30 to 35 mil for the quality we need for the left anyway for two players at left back and left wing so why not just buy bale there is logic and optimisum in my madness you must agree on that, and besides i really think he would jump at the chance to come here as everyone knows we are finally settling down asgain as a club and showing intent with suarez and carroll coming in what do u think ed please let me know in good detail to what you think about bale as a very good viable option

Kikers lfc4eva {Ed001's Note - there is no logic in there, the lad hates the club and the city, he has no interest in the move.}

From BBC:

Talks between them and Kenny Dalglish about the current caretaker manager's future began three weeks ago.

"We have taken a wait and see approach, " says Fenway's Mr Kennedy.

"The conversations are happening now with the appropriate people - Ian Ayre, Damien Comolli, and the ownership.

"But I do think he [Dalglish] has provided a great lift. He is a wonderful man, he is passionate about the club."

Do you think the board have other managers lined up in the summer ed? Have you heard anything regarding LFC's future manager? {Ed001's Note - not a sausage, as far as I am aware Kenny is the chosen man.}

For these two incidents to be comparable Gerrard obviously must have hit the DJ on the football field, as one is delt with in a court of law, the other by the FA! I don't recall any such thing ever happening.

And John calls others idiots? Take a look in the mirror mate, there'll be an idiot looking back at you.
