We don't need a creative midfielder in January, we already have Coutinho. I'd be more worried about the defensive/central midfield positions .

We may have Coutinho, but one is not enough. Look how we struggled with the numerous attacking mids Arsenal threw at us. I'd like to see Alberto given some more game time. I agree the middle of the park is where we are below par at the moment though.

Alberto ain't quick by any means.

It's weird, we only ever seem to target central midfielders yet some fans always want more.
What about improving the many players we've already got?

What you mean mate, we have been improving the players we have got. Henderson in his 3rd year. still Improving. Allen improving. Borini, Aspas.

Out of yours I think Mata is the best but would be impossible for us to go for I think.
I have been an admirer if Cabaye for a long time but he sits in a lot more, more similar to Alonso than to a true Attacking Midfielder.
Suso and Ibe would be superb understudies to Coutinho. If I was after someone to push the starting XI then I think we need to get Champions League and push for a Costa/Hamsik standard of player. I think were ok for this season though and would prefer a sitting midfielder in January, i'd definately go for Cabaye in that respect, 17-20m well spent with him I think.

Cabaye is a good player, and won't come in for cheap, New castle have screwed us in the past and they would demand close to 20 mill.
Should go for a DM and play Hendo as the CM and countinho as an ACM. This is the 3 rd year running for Henderson, and If he isn't getting the game as CM, then its a shame {Ed002's Note - Liverpool has shown no interest in Cabaye.}

Wow Harry get off henderson's D. He does nothing going forward and nothing equally outstanding defensively. He is a rotation player until he can do either of those things or control a midfield. if we had a RW do you think he will play ahead of Lucas or Gerrard?

I said this an year back and then decided to stop, You simply cannot argue with some folks here

I agree Haych, Harry, sorry mate disagree Henderson is not miles better than Allen, I saw better performances from Allen when he arrived than I have seen in Henderson from day one and I think there is more to come from Allen in the future. Also Harry, how is Lucas really a CB?

He is actually a CB, Neither he is quick, Nor he adds anything else. He breaks up play like some of other defenders. In reality, He acts more or less likes as a CB

Harry, how is Lucas actually a CB? As I type I am wondering why I am bothering to reply, you must be the only one who could say that and actually believe it to be correct.
