07 May 2016 21:37:23
I read this feed every day. Don't think I've ever seen a post with more agrees than disagrees. Some of them don't even make any sense to agree or disagree to, maybe just a question or a query, but sure enough everyone furiously disagrees!

Fantastic work anyway guys. I'm not sure whether you get anything from the site - commercial or otherwise - but I'm pretty grateful for the continuous stream of information related to LFC and bits of knowledge I've picked up over the years from here about how the transfer market, player contracts and the football industry as a whole works.

{Ed023's Note - Cheers for that Renter - I will pass on your message to Ed001 and 002 the two eds who keep and made this page what it is today}

08 May 2016 00:40:59
This site is amazing - whether you like the news or not the eds are very informative; at times give you their opinion on things (and get slaughtered if anything is slighty different) still we all come on here as it is the only place for news.

08 May 2016 01:08:09
Great site, nothing like it anywhere on the net. Love the insight the eds give, I usually come on just to read the red comments left by them I know they get slaughtered at times especially ed002 but if he was to leave or stop leaving his usual harsh but usually fair comments the site wouldn't be the same. Great work by all.

08 May 2016 03:39:35
i love this site. don't goto bed after shift without reading it.

{Ed001's Note - thank you.}

08 May 2016 03:45:46
It's def addictive on here. You get everything. We all moan sometimes. Some more so than others. But that's what make it what it is. If you don't reply to comments in anger you will be pissing yourself laughing at times. All good fun.

08 May 2016 04:09:46
Its alright. Its known that there is bug on this site where the agrees and disagrees are switched. At least that's how i treat those agrees and disagrees to my posts.

{Ed001's Note - in your case, the disagrees are defo no bug. The agrees on the other hand.....}

08 May 2016 05:27:33
Yeah, a truly great site. How it has evolved and improved in the past years. I still remembered 6 or 7 years ago, when it was only footballrumours. co. uk, and it was a really pain in the arse to view the site given that it wasn't actually mobile site, needed to move the page sideways apart from scrolling up and down just to read the posts. Oh, and the posts back then, hilarious. But more hilarious was, I remembered I believed most of the posts. Until suddenly there was this Macca, and I started to be a bit smarter.

What an effort and commitment you guys have put on this. Now there are pages for almost all of the clubs.

Good job guys. Like the original post, don't know how much you guys are getting for doing this, if there are any, but i don't care really. As long as the sites keep on running, it is all that matters. Thank you Eds!

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate.}

08 May 2016 06:32:15
I really got addicted to this place when FSG first takeover and I check almost every day. It seems some people just come here to disagree with others for fun but I still love it. I have to shake my head at some arguments people have but maybe that's part of the charm? Anyway, I will be on here every day and maybe every hour when it comes to transfer window time!

08 May 2016 06:57:14
Definitely agree. Amazing site with tons of info, views and perspectives. Needless to say, I am addicted too and check it at least 3-4 times a day. Need to wear body armour sometimes, from the flying projectiles from fellow posters and Ed001/ Ed002, but everyone seems to take it as well as they dish out, so it's cool. Love the site.

08 May 2016 06:57:30
Hi Susan

Eds, if you ever think about adding more feature to the site, a feature to allow users to flirt to each other would be superb.

{Ed001's Note - I doubt the female members of the community would agree with that. They would never get any peace from the pervs (*ahemReetahem*) amongst us.}

08 May 2016 07:15:44
Lee - you're simply the new "Harry" on this site, LOL. The original Harry seems to have sobered down. Ask the Eds or fellow posters on here, if you don't know what I mean. :-)

08 May 2016 07:32:29
The site is the first one i go on when ever i pick my phone up. Top draw info and honesty from all the eds, even if ed002 rips ya head off every now and then lol.

08 May 2016 07:53:31
Got to agree with everything the others have said. Top, top site with excellent info from the Eds. Even the bitter Chelsea Ed gives brilliant info, with a couple of great one liners thrown in. Ed01 seems to be from my era and his knowledge is superb about the older days. Keep up the good work. It may seem that some don't appreciate this site but on the whole the majority of us couldn't do without it. Massive thanks to all who help this site remain no 1 on the list of football sites.

08 May 2016 07:54:16
Best site on the internet and the site that loads of journos seem to have as an EXCLUSIVE source without any level of credit being given. I've been using this site since around 1999 (Jesus, I'm old) and a Turkish friend told me he had inside info that Emile Heskey would not be joining us (2000). I got coated and rightly so. lol. I also used to think I knew loads about finance just because I could put two and two together. Ed002 put me in my place many a time. lol, I've slowly learned. You've got to love all the Eds who give endlessly to this site.

08 May 2016 10:54:39
Its alright, nothing special!

07 May 2016 20:30:38
Carragher named Clyne in his Premiership team of the year.

Am I missing something? Is there anyone here who can offer a detailed opinion as to why anyone would pick him in their team of the year. Don't rate him at all. Him and Moreno are like the bouncers who let in everyone for free at the side doors.

Believable7 Unbelievable17

07 May 2016 21:19:45
Perhaps you can identify some reasons deeper than "i don't rate him" first!?

07 May 2016 21:59:23
great little right back, if people can't see that then there's no point trying to explain. Moreno can be a liability but Clyne and Moreno are not the same.

08 May 2016 02:34:25
Honestly Clyne is slightly better tjan moreno, he get into a great crossing position atleat 10 times a game but may be only 1 good cross. Just during the last game i was thinking if we had someone like Finnan or sergei aurier ( love him has a lethal cross) we could have 5 goals. He is a decent right back without any end product slight better defensively than Moreno.

08 May 2016 03:02:13
I watch Clyne every week and for me he is worthy of the shirt. Having read your post I was drawn to the conclusion that you obviously don't watch Liverpool much. Then I read your name. joker. It's actually very apt as you are quite the joker indeed. or should that just read a joke?

08 May 2016 03:17:38
Craziness, I think Hector Bellerin is the best RB in the PL. Clyne better version of Moreno, both of them are major problems for us defensively.

08 May 2016 03:43:57
I don't think there's a better right back in the league.

08 May 2016 10:43:09
Flano's a better right back.

08 May 2016 10:58:54
Suspect defensively often gets caught out of position and has zero end product. But as mentioned still better than moreno but that don't take much doing.

All in all he is not terrible tho and not the first position i would be looking to improve on.

08 May 2016 12:13:13
He has the worst stats of all our regular four defenders.

Passing, tackling, interceptions, shots, assists, etc - he is the worst of our four.

I was just curious why Carragher puts him in his premiership team of the season. He's not a bad player. He just isn't a brilliant player. Maybe this is our standard but it is the players who have raised their game under Klopp who have us in a European Final - Sakho, Lovren, Origi, Lallana, Firmino. All these guys, drug taking aside, have become better players. I don't see Clyne moving in that direction.

That's all. And as for my name Liverbirdaet, the generic liverpool supporter name generator was busy with yourself when I tried to get one like yours.

;)

08 May 2016 13:17:12
Goes to show that there are no RBs anymore in England is Clyne is the best the PL can offer. He is not good enough on the ball, can't pass, can't close down crosses, poor crosser and poor positioning defensively. And with all these faults, he's the best? Nonsense. As one poster said, Hector Bellerin is miles better than him.

08 May 2016 14:59:40
I don't get the hype with Bellerin, he's just fast. He gets caught of position defensively and is weak in the air.

08 May 2016 15:20:35
Coleman and Zabaletta couple of years ago while Ivanovic last year were the better ones in the league. The league has some of the poorest LB in the world.
Clyne is very average player and one reason Milner was shifted to right hand side against Villareal to whip in crosses. Clyne has pace, but he cannot beat a man nor cross a ball. He was looked very ordinary by Dennis Suarez.

08 May 2016 16:02:49
@Kova

In fairness, that is Milner's best position. He is lost in the centre. City used to get the best out of him there, especially in European games.

07 May 2016 19:04:52
Does anybody know how Pelosi has got on since leaving the club?

Believable0 Unbelievable11

07 May 2016 21:37:18
At San Jose Earthquakes and received a callup to the US first team, but didn't manage to get any minutes.

08 May 2016 00:14:41
Who?

07 May 2016 18:56:53
Has the game been dropped by sky on wed night?

Believable0 Unbelievable12

07 May 2016 19:26:46
Confirmed. Liverpool v Chelsea still live on SS2 on Wednesday.

07 May 2016 21:28:43
Don't think they can just drop matches once announced.

08 May 2016 16:09:44
Haha the disagree button is officially a joke, the troll who keeps pressing it is not even disagreeing to opinions lol. Oh well.

07 May 2016 17:05:05
Can Canos play for us this season?

Believable0 Unbelievable15

08 May 2016 11:09:00
He's on loan this season but available for next season.

Will have lots of competition from Ojo, Ibe, Markovic not to mention our regular first teamers for one of those attacking spots.

07 May 2016 15:24:18
Hey ed001

I see that Liverpool have let Rossiter go. This only confirms your assertions that the Liverpool academy have been concerned with Rossiter's recent progression.

I want to use this as a case to ask about public overpraise. Every time a young player shows promise, like Rossiter, people like Carragher will come out and say something like, 'he's got the potential to be the next Gerrard'.

You'd probably think it's somewhat irresponsible to say, and I would agree. But when you consider the personal day-to-day support and guidance of their coaches, how much do you think this really affects them, and how much can it be blamed for under-progression?

My view is that while overpraise may be irresponsible, most great players were overpraised in their younger days anyway, and they were obviously smart enough to put that praise into perspective, ignore it, and only listen to the people that matter. If they allow themselves to believe their own hype, then maybe they aren't mentally cut-out to excel in top-flight football.

I'm asking this because I saw a certain LFC fan article blaming Rossiter's Liverpool demise on overpraise, and I think that's just a little absurd.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on the player. Sometimes it spurs them on to be better, mostly it just goes to their head and they think they have already done it all. It comes down to the coaching staff to keep their feet on the ground.}

07 May 2016 17:44:51
Carragher grew into a main stay player but he was always grounded, Roy Evans has stated that they never expected him to be anything other than a bit part player. I guess some players do think they have made it by being called up to the first team squad. Good Luck to all the lads released or who choose look for a new start.

07 May 2016 18:17:22
Actually most academy players dun even read news or internet or watch tv. They have their hands full juggling academic, girlfrens and tough training. So u r just overly concern. So the time they feel the hype is when they get to join the 1st team bench or play for 1st team.

{Ed001's Note - have you ever met an academy player? You really have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.}

07 May 2016 18:41:55
No ed001 but you don't have to go to the moon to know the moon is round.

{Ed001's Note - you make yourself seem more foolish by the day. The moon is not actually round. Basic scientific knowledge would have told you that. Like basic knowledge of teenagers would have told you they spend all their time online.}

07 May 2016 19:33:56
Is the moon not round? I blame Chelsea.

07 May 2016 20:11:43
It's a smiley shape, we all know that.

07 May 2016 20:26:01
I blame Brendan.

07 May 2016 21:00:38
It's sphere
Up the pool.

07 May 2016 21:07:56
I never understood why everyone rated him so high. Very limited player. Players like Brannagan have a lot more talent than him but people don't talk about them much.

07 May 2016 22:19:01
I think you can read into the Carragher situation that players like him succeed because they're told they won't amount to that much. Look at the number of top players who were knocked back as youngsters and came back better for it. Would ask the question is that part of the problem - that life now is too much about raising everyone up so they struggle to cope with set backs when they do come.

07 May 2016 23:21:45
very true LondirishRed it always makes me cringe when a youngster gets called a wonderkid or the new Ronaldo etc they simply don't need that stupid label attached to them. As for rossiter its clear that injuries halted his progress always sad when that happens, good luck to him at rangers.

07 May 2016 20:02:41
Don't shame the entire community of teenagers Ed001. Some like me are more intelligent than 100 year olds like you 😑.

{Ed001's Note - oh bless you, the very fact you believe that shows how little intelligence you really have.}

07 May 2016 20:49:03
Not posted for a while but that made me chuckle ed01

Absolute classic you deserve praise :)

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate.}

08 May 2016 01:16:43
Ed001,I know most kids spend their time onlinr. But a trainee player who is vying for big time bpl is not any other kids, they stick to strict regime like training for olympics, they are too tired end of day. No time for some crap from daily or metro. They wun be affected .

{Ed001's Note - absolute bull. Like I said. They have plenty of spare time and they do not live like Olympians at all. If only they would do more would succeed.}

08 May 2016 03:06:07
Actually ed I think you will find Leekuanyew is too busy taking spelling lessons to be able to watch or let alone meet academy players.

08 May 2016 06:38:00
Leekuanyew is not a real person, right?
I am not excited about young players most of the time because too many disappointments in the past. Nice surprise when someone does break through.

08 May 2016 08:19:28
Ed001
You in a bad mood? I meant that as a joke mate 😂.

{Ed001's Note - well obviously..... the only thing smart about you millenials is the phone in your hands :-P

Oh and I was kidding too don't worry.}

07 May 2016 15:04:52
A big hello to all the liverpool fans, I'm a glasgow rangers supporter who is very interested in anything the liverpool fans can tell me about your young midfielder jordan rossiter who my club is very much hoping to sign.

I've heard he's a talented midfielder but would like to get the liverpool fans take on him, look forward to hearing from some of the liverpool fans, cheers and all the very best of luck for the future going forward, liverpool are a fantastic football club with brilliant fans and in jurgen klopp you have without doubt one of the best managers in Europe!

Believable6 Unbelievable8

07 May 2016 15:42:29
Hey there, mate! Rossiter was considered one of the brightest talents in our academy, and local to boot, but recent injuries have derailed his season and probably robbed him of his best and only chance to establish himself in the first-team squad.
What I say is based only on senior games, since I do not follow the U21s, but he has always seemed like a neat, intelligent player, severely limited physically for the position he plays (CM), but compensating with great positioning. He has shown great composure whenever he came into the first team, his passing range seems rather limited, but he keeps things simple and thus is good for possession. I always admired how he gave it his all to fulfill his defensive duties, and for his age he always seemed to position very well, but my greatest fear was his physicality, which still seemed some way off Premier League standards.
If I recall correctly, he even scored a goal during his debut in the League Cup, a well taken shot from the edge of the penalty area after a melee. Always a good omen, that, and he has played both in Europe and against Arsenal as a sub this season, he did not excel, but also didn't look any weaker than his senior team-mates.
I would be rather sad if he would leave the club, but it will probably be the best move for his career, so I hope he develops well north of the border and fulfills his potential.

07 May 2016 15:52:58
Rossiter was a great hope years ago. He hasn't pushed on as we all would have liked but i'm sure with regular football he will be a great addition to Rangers. I would guess that eventually he will play at a higher level (no disrespect) . i'm glad he has the guts to cut the strings and try to make a go of it somewhere else and Rangers is a good a place as any.

07 May 2016 16:26:48
Hope young Rossiter does well at Rangers. It was always going to be hard for him to break into the Liverpool first team.
Good luck to him. and Good Luck to Rangers next season.
Give them Green hoops a run for their money!
A Liverpool/ Rangers double for the league next season would be perfect 👍🏼.

07 May 2016 17:01:31
He is an intelligent player and will hopefully be a key player for you in winning the SPL next season. Good luck to both him and Rangers for next season.

07 May 2016 18:00:29
If he stays clears of injuries he should do really well. He loves a tackle and is a fully committed player. Not the quickest player but pretty good in all departments really. Holding role would be his best position. Hope he does well.

07 May 2016 20:26:06
He should be good enough for the scottish league. In all fairness, it's not up to much these days.

07 May 2016 20:37:34
Bit part player at best, don't think he will be good enough, even at Rangers.

07 May 2016 21:27:43
He's only 19. So whilst we say he may lack physicality, passing range etc those can all be developed. Reading some of the insights, its like he's mid-20s. You would be agetting a. fantastic prospect with everything to prove. And he needs games to do that.

07 May 2016 18:21:24
Why not resign him for 5 years and give him a free 2 year loan at rangers. They want him, he wants to go but could come back to bit us on the hoop.

08 May 2016 08:05:59
I, for one, am sorry to see Rossiter go. I think he has great skill and vision but the injury coast him in his development. My feeling is that he probably sought reassurances about playing time and there is no way they can be given under Klopp. Whilst Allen has simply buckled down and pulled his socks up to show his worth Rossiter has immediately decided to leave in order to pursue his ambitions. Good luck to the lad!

07 May 2016 13:01:05
Hi eds,

Don't want to jinx this but just wanted to know. If we do win the Europa league does Sakho get a medal? I would guess so since he played the minimum required number of games but will he not get one because of the doping and the ban?

Kopchu.

Believable2 Unbelievable13

{Ed002's Note - The club decide who to give medals to.}

07 May 2016 15:09:06
I don't know if it has changed but 40 medals get handed to the winners and it is up to the club/ manager who to give the medals to.

07 May 2016 18:04:32
ok thanks Imred and Ed! I'm not sure where I heard that it's based on appearances, is that the premier league instead? So that means that technically anybody can get a medal if the manager so chooses (even the tea lady xd)
But on a different note did my question really deserve all those dislikes.

Kopchu.

07 May 2016 19:15:41
look around. everything gets dislikes for some reason these days.

07 May 2016 19:51:32
On the topic of winning the Europa league and again without jinxing us, how brilliant would it be to have a European super cup to look forward to down the line against either real or athletico Madrid? Another date for the calendar and possibly entry into I think the world club cup.

07 May 2016 12:34:56
Ed002 or Ed001, quick question.

Our 'transfer committee', is it not just a fancy name for something that exists at most clubs?

All clubs have scouts, negotiators/ money men, managers/ coaches who who also have an influence on signings i. e. our 'transfer committee'?

What would be interesting is to know who actually created the term 'transfer committee'.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

07 May 2016 12:46:23
So is our transfer system different to what happens at other clubs?

{Ed002's Note - It varies club-by-club. Some clubs have a Technical Director or Director of Football, others work a similar process to Liverpool, some sees only minimal involvement of the coach or manager.}

07 May 2016 12:55:13
Thanks for clearing that up Ed002. So now we know that the way LFC deal with transfers is not unique as some may think it is. The only thing that separates LFC from most clubs is wasting vasts amounts of money and having a manager like Brendan who was like a kid in a candy shop with money falling out of his pockets.

07 May 2016 15:25:36
I think it was at Rodgers first press conference when he said there would be a 'meeting of minds' and Ayre chipped in with it'll be done by "group analysis".
From that the fabled "transfer committee" was born.

07 May 2016 15:49:12
BR was in charge of the TC from the word go. He himself alluded to that several times but started trashing them in the media, creating a witch hunt and making it look like they were an independent establishment that had been set up by the owners to stifle him, all of which were lies.

07 May 2016 18:15:47
Brendans 1st 2 transfers where Borini and Allen players who I believe where his choices having managed them before.

07 May 2016 22:22:30
I thought Rodgers' issue wasn't the decision it was the quality etc of what was being brought to the table to discuss and why.

08 May 2016 01:19:00
Not really bothered how many disagrees I get, it is factual that the idea of a 'transfer committee' came from Rodger's first press conference via Ian Ayre's comment.

The reason for the comment is LFC had seemingly turned away from the Director of Football model and so questions about transfers were being asked.

07 May 2016 11:16:36
Top 3 goals of the season then everyone? For me Benteke's bicycle kick against Manchester United is by far the best! Second for me is Firmino's goal against Arsenal where he put the ball into the top corner from 25 yards. Thirdly it has to be one of Coutinho's but I'm not sure which one. I'll say his goal against Stoke first game of the season.
So my choices are
1. Benteke (vs Man United)
2. Firmino (vs Arsenal)
3. Coutinho (vs Stoke)
I'm sure I've forgotten a really obvious goal!

Believable6 Unbelievable11

07 May 2016 11:50:06
1. Coutinho vs united in europa league

2. Benteke vs united

3. Sturridge 1st goal vs villa.

07 May 2016 11:59:14
Firmino v City was my goal of the season, what a team goal and a beautiful back heel by Can.

07 May 2016 12:49:12
A backheel that was clearly meant for Firmino not Coutinho who it went to, but inspite of that a good goal, Benteke v Utd for me.

07 May 2016 13:29:58
Vardy's againts us, even Klopp nearly clapped his hands at, when asked why, he said "I was close to clapping my hands to be honest but I just felt too bad at that moment in time"

07 May 2016 14:45:52
Benteke's goal against Man Utd and Coutinho's in Europa against Utd were the top two goals for me. Benteke's goals was pure genius while Coutinho's was a moment of inspiration and skill that saw us win the tie.

07 May 2016 15:03:09
Philippe's free kick under the wall. Epic.

07 May 2016 16:28:08
Coutinho vs Man Utd in Europa - pure genius.

07 May 2016 18:19:51
Origi's goal vs Dortmund at Anfield which was set up by Can with double 1-2 all way from defence to attack.

07 May 2016 21:28:12
Benteke's goal was hit cleaner than Rooney's vs Man City that won goal of the century, so that goal by a country mile. Although I can think of at least ten goals off the top of my
head that were better than Rooney's vs City. Followed by Lallana's winner vs Norwich and Lovren's vs Dortmund, but maybe those two are only so great because of the nature of those games. This season hasn't really been one for great goals has it? Other than Phil's magic moments and a couple of good team efforts.

08 May 2016 00:37:50
Firmino top corner against arsenal, like a perfect golf swing that was.

08 May 2016 01:09:59
Lovren's header against Dortmund ;)

08 May 2016 09:31:26
The rediculous disagreeing here is so frustrating.

Queue the disagree.

07 May 2016 11:07:19
I hope we give the youth another chance tomorrow, will be great experience to get a run of games for the likes of Stewart ojo and that. Haven't seen Flanagan in a while, would like to see him come in at left back.
Then full team midweek agaisnt Chelsea then rest everyone final game of the season. Keeps them fit, one game a week should not tire them at all. Praying for no injuries. I'd keep can in cotton wool until the final.

Believable11 Unbelievable8

07 May 2016 11:34:21
But then everyone will moan that Klopp got it wrong 😉.

07 May 2016 15:51:42
Mix the team up in critical areas as we have seen at Swansea that playing a youthful midfield vs experienced opposition is a disaster.

07 May 2016 10:54:20
Ed2, I'm not sure you'll be able to answer this but had the EL final struggled to fill larger stadiums in the past? Although this stadium is certainly on the smaller size my instinct is that if an English club wasn't involved it would be fine.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - No. It will be fine and there are lots of clubs that fill much larger stadia than Liverpool do every week. For some reason the supporters are moaning about it.}

07 May 2016 11:08:46
Ed I may have misunderstood what you meant but are you finding it weird that fans are moaning about not being able to go to a final?

{Ed002's Note - Of course. These are the same fans that were always saying they did not want to be in the Europa League and how worthless it is as a tournament.}

07 May 2016 11:19:04
Some are also saying they don't want to be in it next season. I find this strange. Basically they want to watch LFC in the final but don't want the hassle of having to qualify for the final. 😄.

07 May 2016 12:12:04
Fair enough ed. I think we played it well though, rested a lot of players in early stages, and once we got through the first knockout rounds, we knew we had a chance, so rightfully prioritised it. Now we have one game to win the cup, and get a place in CL, I'd love to be there. I'm not going to be, even if there was 30,000 more seats, but I know there will be a lot of disappointed fans.

{Ed002's Note - Sure, it is unfortunate.}

07 May 2016 15:11:53
Regarding fans hating the Europa league. I love the Europe league! It's an extra game I get to watch liverpool on a Thursday and normally on the following Sunday. It gives the manager a chance to keep the squad match fit and to give youth a chance. Granted od rather be in the champions league, but as a backup I really think it's benafiacial for the supporters and the manager if used properly. Edd's how do you like it?

07 May 2016 13:18:13
Overlooking the fact that Liverpool would fill an 80,000 seater stadium each week.

07 May 2016 15:56:22
To me, it is the disingenuous fans who say they hate the EL only because we were not in it or could not win it. Forfeiting competitions is nonsense. Had Utd, Bayern, Inter and us in 2001 discarded certain competitions, we would never have won the treble. I'm old school. Every trophy is worth fighting for and winning and I'm elated that Klopp feels that way and doesn't take opportunities to win trophies for granted.

07 May 2016 09:52:28
I keep watching that YouTube video - Jurgen Klopp best moments at Liverpool 2015/ 16.
I can't get over that amazing team celebration at Carrow Road - that was awesome.
Can you imagine the celebrations when we do win the Europa? Then think to yourself what it will be like when Klopp brings us number 19. It's going to be 12 months of continuous celebration!

I can't wait for him to start winning things. Check the video.

Sorry "Jurgen Klopp. Great Moments at Liverpool 2015/ 16"

07 May 2016 14:12:22
If he was at any other team in the Premier League I'd be envious as hell. How can you not love a guy with that much passion and enthusiasm. And he's not a bad manager either.

07 May 2016 16:00:46
I saw the video. Priceless! I still have the game on my DVR and watch it once in a while. I read that a lot of and slated us for lining the streets when our coach arrived at the stadium on Thursday. They just hate us because they ain't us, really.

07 May 2016 09:00:02
Just letting people know if your not already aware, but the LFC channel is free to watch this weekend.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

07 May 2016 11:06:40
Only for virgin or sky subscribers tho I think?!

07 May 2016 11:19:27
Why is there something worth watching this weekend, because the coverage on that channel is shocking!

07 May 2016 07:06:22
Morning Eds

With the known interest and contact made with Udinense for Zielinski, in your honest opinion do you think he will arrive and if he does who is likely to make way? As we also have the likes of Alberto coming back.

Allen, Lucas must be contenders to leave?

Believable0 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - Zielinski is certainly a possibility. Alberto will return at the end of his loan but is difficult to see him staying and it is difficult to see how he would ever get a game. With Gujic arriving and only fringe players leaving something will need to be done to trim the vastly over-sized squad Liverpool has. Swansea were interested in taking Allen on loan in January - they may look to him again in the summer. If Rodgers were to return there, which is not impossible, he could well be of interest.}

07 May 2016 10:01:07
I think it really depends if we play next year in the CL, EL or neither. If we play in the CL there will be no rush to release many players I think. On the other hand if it is only PL, we will have tlet many players go. Also depends who come of course. May be bigger names if we play CL.

07 May 2016 11:11:29
I think if we get CL we will shift more, the fringe players won't be good enough to make an impact in Europe.

07 May 2016 08:15:03
I do expect both Allen and Lucas to depart. With Kolo getting an extension ( He would cover the back line ) and Stwrart would cover the midfield.
Zelinski doesn't make any sense to me but I assume Klopp would play him slightly higher up as a goal scoring midfielder. Not sure where would that leave Milner and what about the wingers we are looking.

07 May 2016 12:12:44
Lucas won't leave, he'll be very useful in big games and can cover well at CB when we are short there.

07 May 2016 13:16:34
Fencey.

You cannot keep adding players without moving out the existing. Where would Lucas play with Kolo and Stewart both occupying the cover role? You cry for giving youngsters a chance and then wouldn't sell players at all.

07 May 2016 16:04:06
Lucas and Kolo along with Milner (who I must say, has really come on recently) are the old heads we need in the squad for experience and advice. They are Klopp's on field coaches so they aren't going anywhere, Kova. Zielinski doesn't make sense to me either but we shall see.

07 May 2016 06:56:27
One for Ed002, did we show any interest in Schmidt of Leverkusen before Klopp? Me and my mate were discussing managers when his name popped up.
In case someone goes mental, this was just an open ended discussion, nothing to do with our current manager or performance.

Krishna.

Believable0 Unbelievable8

{Ed002's Note - No Krishna.}

07 May 2016 20:33:55
Thank you and have a nice day.

Krishna.

{Ed002's Note - And you.}

07 May 2016 07:03:30
Is the Villareal manager really being linked to Everton? If this comes to fruition I think Klopp will get a 6 match ban for gouging his eyes out if he tries celebrating a goal against us.

07 May 2016 08:15:37
They are dreaming of Jose and Pelligreni ATM.

06 May 2016 23:57:13
ED2, i recall you saying most of the summer LFC would be extremely lucky to get Klopp as you heard he wasn't even on the owners radar until the very last moment, not to mention how much we are paying him (win bonus included) . My question is in hindsight do you now think the owners looked at it as the last roll of the deice? They have only been over for the cup final we lost this season and once more for the 6 month review/ stadium development. If we get champions league do you think they will finally take the money and run this time? As rumors have been going round about interested parties. With the stand set to be complete soon too i think they will see it as a now or never moment to sell and triple their money thanks in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - The Owners have been trying to buy the league since they arrived - with the value of the club increasing because of the additional money from the television deal they will have to consider their options going forward.}

07 May 2016 06:53:01
Hi eds, but if the owners see that klopp can achieve winning team without further purchase, as biz men dun you think they will stop pumping in $ to buy the league title? I mean its all about ROI right?

{Ed002's Note - The club already has crippling debts and player changes will be made.}

07 May 2016 06:03:07
RIP Patrick Ekeng. Very sad.

Believable15 Unbelievable6

07 May 2016 06:42:52
Yeah so sad.

07 May 2016 11:13:17
Take a look at yourself boys, genuine post about a player who passed away on the pitch and you guys are disagreeing. Awful thing to happen, have some respect.

07 May 2016 12:43:37
this is why the agree/ disagree buttons need to be removed.

07 May 2016 19:50:17
Guys, just ignore it. RIP regardless.

07 May 2016 01:00:07
On reflection after the high of last night why can't we translate our form in Europe into the League? IF we get Champions league next season I think there will be a lot of incoming players because we will need a lot of quality to cope with those physically draining competitions. If we don't make Champions league then I think there will be less of an influx. I'm so excited about next season I can't wait. going to be a humdinger.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

07 May 2016 06:44:51
I think we did well recently in the league until the last couple of games. We are concentrating on Europe right now so I think the changes to them team probably made us a little bit inconsistent at the moment.

07 May 2016 13:16:08
We don't hve the depth in quality, mentality ad consstency to maintain that edge in the league.

07 May 2016 16:06:29
Very few teams in the PL can do that currently. Even Spurs had to tank the EL to concentrate on the PL.

07 May 2016 00:40:12
Hi. I'm sorry if my memory is a bit sketchy as I'm getting old. Plus I'm in no way defending anyone but can anybody answer my question on drug tests. I'm sure I read somewhere years ago that the premier league don't allow clubs to test their own players. I know the Sakho incident is not league related but surely clubs are allowed to do this. If I remember rightly my source was the daily mirror in about 98 so o could easily be getting things wrong.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

07 May 2016 07:20:08
Going by what's been said here I'm fairly sure the club could test but it would be relatively expensive to do. However I would say it's like insurance, expensive and a nuisance but can save you big time. I could also be very wrong here but I have a slight recollection of one of the eds mentioning contracts in relation to this, maybe players don't like being tested ha.
