Sorry if irrelevant (ignore if so) but do we still hold an interest in jiminez? Looked through history and saw we were previously interested in him and couldn't find update. Seen highlights and have a weird feeling he'd suit us well

Cheers either way.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea who you are talking about, sorry.}

07 Mar 2017 11:53:52
Think he means Raul Jimenez, Mexican striker Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool had representatives at a Benfica game in December but it was to look at someone else.}

07 Mar 2017 11:43:59
Raul Jimenez from Benfica. assume as you don't know him there isn't interest in him.

07 Mar 2017 18:45:20
Aw nick you wee star.

06 Mar 2017 21:31:44
Ed002.how do you rate the players Klopp has bought so far? To be fair compared with his predecessor I think he's shown that he has an eye for buying players that fit his style and are technically very good. Appreciate your assessment.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't want to rate players as good or bad but in terms of loans/buys:
Caulker - had to be kidding
Matip - a decent player who is doing OK but he is not an outstanding player
Klaven - decent cover at a reasonable price but perhaps another year out of Agger wpuld have worked equally as well
Mane - has worked out really well - the outstanding bit of business
Wijnaldum - Expensive and runs hot and cold
Manninger - good sensible bit of business
Karius - a decent buy and a decent young goalkeeper but making him number one has been massively disruptive - and that was Klipperty's fault
Grujic - a lot is expected but it was a naive purchase without a plan and that could only have worked by loaning him back for 18 months - an error by Klipperty who should have understood the situation better
Danny Ward - bad bit of business to end his loan - naive again

Is that it or did I miss someone?}

06 Mar 2017 21:49:12
Nice review that ed been loving your recent posts too, great reads. Have to disagree in Matip though I think he will be one of the top centre backs in Europe in about 3 years. Also agger, ain't he retired now his knees legs went didn't they. I think klaven given an extended run in the team alongside national could be a henchoz type bargain. Pretty much agree with the rest.

06 Mar 2017 22:53:47
Alongside matip*.

07 Mar 2017 00:10:57
I don't know what he's talking about with regard to Agger. Daniel left Liverpool a full 16 months before Klopp was given the job.
Perhaps you meant Skrtel?

{Ed002's Note - Right Skrtl

07 Mar 2017 13:16:19
I just don't get why players such as mignolet, klavan and moreno get away with being 'good backup options' when they literally cock up every time they step on the pitch.

07 Mar 2017 14:22:35
Glad skrtels gone he was a big liability. Hopefully lovren, clyne and Moreno follow.

07 Mar 2017 19:54:36
All in good time, Lerchy. Klopp doesn't play games. He will give you enough chances and if you're not good enuff, you'll be off. Just ask Benteke (still lazy at CP), Ibe, Skrtel, Balotelli and the like.

06 Mar 2017 20:40:51
Think can could have a future with us if klopp can find his best position, anyone see him as a future ball playing CB? Played well Saturday.

Believable0 Unbelievable10

06 Mar 2017 21:17:52
No he's a 6 but the problem is when hendo plays he starts . Klopp tried him in gini postion but he slows down the play . He played as a number 6 last year and that's his postion.

06 Mar 2017 21:23:08
Wasn't for the world champions!

06 Mar 2017 21:50:13
He needs to work really hard on his defending and position in the next two seasons if he is to fulfill his potential.

06 Mar 2017 22:21:16
Not sure what you mean by Number 6. He is not a CDM.

06 Mar 2017 22:54:55
I think that has to be his position harry he's not creative enough further forward in small interchanges he's better playing long balls. He just needs to really sharpen up on his defensive fragilities.

07 Mar 2017 01:21:25
Is hendo a 6 you got have to be dm if you seen the games agaist Arsenal and BVB you see what I mean .

07 Mar 2017 12:29:14
The numbers doesn't count. If you mean by the deepest lying midfielder then unfortunately Can is terrible in that role / position.

07 Mar 2017 12:30:40
Unfortunately Can cannot read the game, is rash, and his end product is constantly found wanting. Therefore he clearly isn't suited to being a holding midfielder, or an attacking midfielder.

However he is very strong, very aggressive, has a good passing range, has the ability to drive at the opposition and has the power to get up and down for 90 minutes. He is very clearly suited to a box to box midfielder role. Or just a centre mid if you want to call it that.

I wouldn't sell him unless we could get in a first team ready upgrade. Either way it is not a priority. He is a decent squad player with first team potential.

07 Mar 2017 17:51:38
I love emre can. He will be a solid player for us.
Remember how Lucas was at first. We need to be patient with Can.

07 Mar 2017 19:56:11
Can needs to improve his game cos there are several holes in it if he wants to realize his potential. I think he just needs to find a position that suits him for him to flourish.

06 Mar 2017 17:38:03
The U23s are playing tonight on lfctv at 7:00pm, certainly worth watching.

06 Mar 2017 18:31:00
Against Reading I add.

06 Mar 2017 21:19:59
Harry Wilson needs to been giving a chance but there's a chance we can top 4 unlike the last 2 season . If we was not I think Klopp would play him.

06 Mar 2017 21:32:42
Marko Grujic starts.

06 Mar 2017 14:48:37
Ed do you think we might look to Gotze again in the summer, or has his recent advice from his Doctor potentially scuppred any chance of progressing with his career with either Dormund or another club?

06 Mar 2017 14:10:00
Hi Eds and reds,

I was just wondering what the plan is with Phase 2 of the Anfield redevelopment.

I note that the initial planning permission for the Anfield Rd end runs out in September this year.

Do you expect this to be renewed pending the work starting, or do you think that idea has passed by for now.

Also, what's everyone's opinion on the further expansion of Anfield, is it worth spending money on, is it an area you want the club to be spending money on, is it ok to have a smaller stadium than our main rivals?

Have a great day all.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Nothing will happen in the short-term and possibly not at all under these owners. Financially Phase 2 is an unnecessary burden.}

06 Mar 2017 12:25:11
This is my opinion of our team, it's like an engine and if the piston is not working the rest doesn't work. The way Klopp plays he needs everyone top of their game if one player is not preforming the whole engine breaks down.

Believable0 Unbelievable6

06 Mar 2017 13:09:22
Sorry I disagree, if we where a one man team then if that one man (the piston) broke down then the rest of the team falls apart yeah, but we are not a one man team, we have a few players that are game changers (coutinho, firmino, mane, lallana etc) so if one or even two players (pistons) "break down" then the rest of the team (engine) should usually compensate and get us over the line.

If you want to compare our team to an engine then you could say that when a lower placed team turns up Klopp forgets to put petrol in the engine and the engine runs on fumes, then splutters, then stops.

06 Mar 2017 13:31:54
Its more of a system problem to be honest, we seem to get frustrated and run out of ideas against ultra defensive sides and we are usually so poor defensively that we get cut open on the counter.

He needs to fix this as we will actually be a top top side once we do and it all starts from the defence, once we have a solid foundation we can build from there, look at Chelsea and Spurs and Leicester last season.

06 Mar 2017 14:22:53
TBH agree. Think part of it is struggling against defensive teams but also if we lose one of our starting XI we do struggle.

If we lose firmino, mane, Henderson, Matip, Lallana, or continho is vastly changes how we play.

06 Mar 2017 15:18:13
Hes right in reference to the press.

If the cam is missing tje triggers foe the press or not workiny hard then the whole press can fall apart.

06 Mar 2017 21:39:03
So what do you suggest? We need a man to carry out team when others don't function? Or the car should work all 365 days?
Not sure Y people are over the moon with the results against Arsenal. A poor team without Ozil and Sanchez got what they deserved. Sanchez came in the second half and lifted the whole team above Liverpool for a good 20 mts. Didn't he?
If your inept midfielders ( Xhaka and Eleany ) gives space, Liverpool will hurt any team. Lallana had a stadium to run behind them.

06 Mar 2017 21:17:55
My service is due on the 18th. Thank god for this nonsense, you guys reminded me!

06 Mar 2017 21:44:06
Spot on, HX. The system to me is not the problem although tweaks can be made. It is the level of determination and invention in our play that has cost us in these types of games. Is it not the same system that thumped Hull, Stoke, Sunderland, CP, WB Watford, and Boro? So the system is not the problem, per se. The problem is that our players lack the desire and drive to prevail in such games YET have no problem with having the right attitude and mentality vs top teams. Vs parked buses, the question is, "how hard are you willing to work to get the victory? " and clearly of late, we seem to not be willing to work hard enuff to get the victory. That was not the problem when we thumped parked buses in the past. We were willing to work hard to win. That is what needs to be fixed and patience from all concerned (coaches, players and fans) is needed cos NOTHING will be given to us. We will have to TAKE it from our opponents.

07 Mar 2017 12:50:06
On that context, Noah What you think we should do against teams we lost this season? Shouldering everything on the players when you loose and running away from the actual problem, Sorry I don't bite that.
Do you think we have players on the pitch who former want to play for us?

If the system isn't the problem and players are we should be replacing them. Don't you?

How many players are the problems for this system that we continuously look out of dearth against a well organized team called X?

07 Mar 2017 20:09:17
Harry, clearly you did not read my post. Let me help you. I never mentioned the players' talent nor ability as the problem. I mentioned their mentality and psychological wherewithal to prevail in such difficult games, something they NEVER have a problem with vs big teams.

The system is not the problem per se as the same system has thumped parked buses earlier in the season. My point is that these same players seem to no longer have the stomach for a fight anymore. Check the Stoke game where we went a goal down and under the cosh. The players did NOT fold.

They kept going and thumped them 4-1. Where is that attitude cos I haven't seen it since then? That is what I am referring to when I say the player's attitude need to change. After Hull, even Klopp said he was embarrassed with the lack of effort and gave the players the business at half time. It is when you lack motivation and desire that you start making mistakes hence, many think the system is flawed. It is NOT.

06 Mar 2017 11:59:56
Hi again ed002

Serious question - do you regard yourself as qualified enough to operate as the CEO of a major football club?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Not at all. I have no interest in such matters.}

06 Mar 2017 14:25:46
Ed002, can we ask what your background is in relation to football? You have a very vast knowledge base from reading your comprehensive posts.

Baz.

{Ed002's Note - It is best we don't go there.}

06 Mar 2017 17:07:21
let ed002 keep his mystery its better that way.

We win or at least give a good account of ourselves when everyone is at their best, and I mean everyone. Even the keeper. We attack as a unit and defend as a unit. One one person is off his game, it shows in the result. Just one person slugging off messes everything.

06 Mar 2017 12:29:17
Just said that on the other posts page.

06 Mar 2017 08:19:35
Hi ed01/ 02

I was wondering on the set up of youth squads in the alignment of the first team. Managers change frequently and perhaps none more so than Liverpool fc and with a new manager comes a new structure and style of play. I was wondering if with each manager changes do they administer similar changes in training and playing style in u23's and through to u18's to be able to better equip them with the tools and be able to understand what is expected of them when they step up in the first team? If so is there any club that focuses on this or in the u23's is it more of learning a vast range of styles to play?

Cheers for all the work you do.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - most clubs do that mate. Usually a manager is picked who plays a similar style to the one employed in the youth teams. Hence the DOF, who is meant to oversee that and ensure continuity.}

06 Mar 2017 07:37:32
Llalana, Wiji and Mane were immense and Matip, Klavan, Can and Firmino were fantastic but a quick shout out to
1) Coutinho's deft header in the build-up and then step-over to let the ball through to Firmino for the first. world class and showing signs of really connecting telepathically with Firmino again
2) Firminos setup of Mane for the second and the calm finish
3) Llalanas clever hold up play, but then Gini busting his gut in the 91st minute to get all the way up the pitch to close out the match. you earned that goal through sheer effort

Overall while Mane remained unplayable at times, Lallana was my MOM because he was in almost every attack and yet still tackled back to defend in our box at times. Was involved in almost everything good we did.

Have to also say Can also looked a lot better, and glad to see him having a great game - I suspect at least partially because the midfield stayed tight and he had Gini near him most of the game to cover so didn't get exposed too often. We need to keep it tight vs. Burnley.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

06 Mar 2017 08:38:39
Actually Couthino missed the ball which is why Firmino could get the ball.

06 Mar 2017 09:13:02
Can't believe people think Cout's "dummy" was intentional.

05 Mar 2017 18:54:53
Good evening ED01.

If you get chance, I was just looking for your view on a past favourite of mine, Craig Bellamy.

Did you rate him as a player?

Im my opinion I felt he was criminally underrated, quick, direct and could score. A little raw on times but always gave his all. A little petulant off the pitch on times but could never fault his effort on it. If only Giggs had learnt from Bellamy's passion for his country, Wales could have made a summer competition sooner.

Cheers ed.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - as a player he was too petulant and in too much trouble until he grew up late in his career. Blisteringly fast, excellent workrate, good skill, good goalscorer, but just that temperament that held him back. Then he went out to Africa and he became a changed man. After that he was one of the best players in Europe. He stopped with the drinking binges etc and just dedicated himself to the job. Just a shame it happened so late as he would have been a legend for us but it wasn't until he left the first time that he changed.}

06 Mar 2017 06:06:51
I loved him in a red shirt. He's the type of player you love to have in your team but loathed when in the apposing team.

06 Mar 2017 09:29:03
Wouldn't mind him in la manga hitting a few of the slackers with golf clubs.

06 Mar 2017 21:45:59
Always loved Bellamy. Glad he turned his life around. As an African, I can tell you that Africa changes people.

05 Mar 2017 23:50:11
Hi Eds. As you've mentioned Brandt being a realistic option was just wondering on if you think he would improve the team and be a good addition? Thanks.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Brandt is a decent player who has the quality that Klopp likes. I think he would be a good additiona.}

06 Mar 2017 06:37:18
Hi Eds,

What is the quality that Klopp likes?

{Ed002's Note - Being able to run very quickly.}

06 Mar 2017 10:08:39
Why does he like firmino so much then ed? 😉.

06 Mar 2017 09:24:31
Seem him lots of times and he's the real deal.

05 Mar 2017 23:33:27
Hi eds

Sakho has made Garth Crooks team of the week. If he carries on performing well will he be given another opportunity at LFC or is it game over for him?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The club need to move him on at the first opportunity. Him playing well means that people may take note.}

06 Mar 2017 02:40:36
Such a shame, strangely I played him and Djibril Cisse on Fifa recently and he seemed heartbroken about the whole thing, said how he loves the club and would love another chance.

He may have been a bit of a clown at times but he was a consistently solid player who always gave his all and I can only assume he would have developed a great partnership with Matip. let's just hope we finally get the top quality CB pairing in the summer we've been needing since Carra retired.

06 Mar 2017 09:30:40
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

06 Mar 2017 09:26:45
Sahko's days have been numbered since last season de to his own stupidity and childish antics. Klopp wants him gone and there were several offers for him this season but he chose to stay and play for the U23's. As much as I like him, he's no longer wanted here due to indiscipline and people need to get over it.

06 Mar 2017 14:32:02
got to agree with you Noah, Sakho was immense for us and gave 100 per cent on the field, but off it, he has let himself down big time, I only hope that we do get a transfer fee for him, and not let him out on loan till his contract runs out .

05 Mar 2017 21:17:21
question for ed002 - genuinely interested in how you would build Liverpool up to be a competitive title contender?

If you have time that is! If I've read you correctly you're an advocate for spending wisely, developing strong financial stability and sustainability etc etc so keen to hear what your master plan would be!?
thanks in advance :)

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Easy. A simnple six point plan to get the entire club back on a good footing:

1. Corporate Business: Liverpool have done well financially out of the sponsorship and partnership agreements but in some cases have sold their soul to the devil and in others the deal is not as good as it could be for a club of the profile of Liverpool. Look to move away from Standard Chartered and bring in a higher profile and better paying sponsor as soon as is practical.

The deal with New Balance/Warrior was a major mistake and the club need to exit it as soon as possible – sadly the boat to get a deal with Adidas after Chelsea dumped them has probably sailed. Any deals with organisations that are socially questionable (e.g. Bet Victor), socially bankrupt or have caused the club embarrassment (e.g. Dunkin’ Donuts), nonsense (Nivea and the club’s official coconut water supplier TCC), are from a country with controversial human rights (flag carrier Malaysian Airlines – who replaced just as bad Indonesia’s Garuda) should be cancelled or run down as soon as possible. Being on morally better ground will make a club with Liverpool’s profile to get better profile sponsors.

2. Football Business: Liverpool has revamped in the past three years from top to bottom but yet Klopp is still getting an easy ride and the transfer windows are far from successful. Two things to do (a) get a Director of Football in (not taking the advice of anyone who suggests Damien Comolli would be a good idea), and (b) explain to Klopp that his inability to adapt is a large part of the problem and that he needs to do it (perhaps with help) or look to apply for the Barcelona job or take some time and wait for the job he really wants at Bayern Munich. There are better coaches out there and the likeable clown act is wearing thin.

3. Fan Considerations: Establish a point of liaison with fan representatives (Ed001 perhaps and the sad fat guy who runs the other site - I don't recall his name) but do not involve the Spirit of Shankly in any way – a bunch of morons in a pub who want the club handed over to them and are planning already to give the owners a hard time starting again this summer need to be brushed aside.

If they are interested in buying the club they need to be told to have their bankers call when they have a $1B Banker’s Draft in hand and the club will be sold to them. If they want to act responsibly and represent supporters they need to lose the aggressive and controntational approach.

4. Wrest Power Back from the Players: Players at high profile teams (in particular in the Premier League and a few other individual players dotted around Europe) are not fully focussed on doing what they are employed to do, and in many cases are paid well to do. I would get someone in (a really knowledgeable football guy who can advise the club) and have them speak to each of the players to really understand where their focus is and where they want to be.

I would also have a suitable advisor go right through all of the coaching staff and look at the methods of coaching. I would then get the players together and tell them that the club will be making addendums to their contracts requiring such things as responsible behaviour, not wearing flimsy designer football boots that offer little protection, wearing black boots only in games, responsible usage of social media, banning all at club visits by hairdressers and car salesmen, banning the use of all hair care products etc..

The players need to be controlled in any interviews and interviews, and any endorsements, should all be arranged through the club. Any players to which the club is making payments to third parties for such nonsense as image rights need to be moved on or the contracts amended at no penalty to the club. Then they need to be asked if they buy in to the club and these changes – if they don’t their agents can be told that the club is happy for them to find new employers for their charges.

5. Reserves and Loans: Firstly get some structure and planning for a career path and look to establish relationships with a couple of sides such that the loan system can work for the club. The liaison structure is critical as whilst managers may occasionally see players it is generally something undertaken by others dedicated to the task.

As an example, each loan player from Chelsea has a liaison officer assigned (some are ex-players) who regularly see them, deal with any issues and report progress back to the club. For instance there was a problem with a couple of players in the Netherlands and that resulted in the club having them get involved with spending some time with the local community (schools and charities). Chelsea has also helped clubs they have and are building relationships with - this may include providing training facilities, loaning coaching staff, having ex-players works with them in some capacity etc..

They have a structure in the Netherlands and Belgium in addition to relationships with South American and old Eastern Bloc countries. They are currently working a deal with a Champions League side as well. Similarly in Italy I know that the clubs with a significant number of players on loan have regular contact and bring them back as a group for training on a couple of occasions mid-season.

I am sure there will be someone at Liverpool keeping contact with the younger players on loan where there are legal responsibilities as some are still technically children but others on loan from Liverpool reported the occasional text message only – simply not good enough. Many clubs in Spain and Portugal have built relationships with other sides and it helps with brining in players from South America.

6. On Field: Whilst the fans want significant changes every year the club needs to get in to the position of making small changes to improve the team each season, not simply discarding the work done and starting again. It has not worked with the recent managers at the club and Damien Comolli was a massive mistake (which I did explain here the day he joined). Right now the side ids not too far away but like other managers it is a task Klopp struggles with – so the club need a good footballing guy as Director of Football to help out.

Financially the club need to be self-sufficient or making a profit – particularly given the additional media income. Give Klopp the marquee buy of Julian Brandt this summer and then fix the problem areas though sales.}

06 Mar 2017 00:57:41
Brilliant Ed2, thanks for that. But I do have to say, bringing Chelsea into it, your slowly becoming a LFC supporter! Ha couldn't resist.

{Ed002's Note - They are a good example. Manchester United also supports a structure that makes the loan system work for them although it has dropped away a little recently. But Liverpool should look towards what others do and learn if they can.}

06 Mar 2017 01:18:02
Great read that ed002 thanks, never knew we had an official coconut water supplier.
I really like your 6 point plan, I think you should come in and help advise the club officially and bring success back at LFC, I know it would probably be a big drop in income but I imagine the club would be grateful and let you have the occasional day off so you could continue your rodeo clown hobby, plus imagine how stress free your life would be as an ed on here when Liverpool are back on top and winning week in week out. Lol.

06 Mar 2017 03:21:08
Hi ed002

Why was the deal with Warrior a mistake? It seemed to be a very large deal at the time.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool's shirt deal is with a small company who don't pay close to what others do.}

06 Mar 2017 03:30:16
Also ed, can you elaborate on the black boots policy? I agree with it and wanna hear your reasons behind it.

{Ed002's Note - The players need to be dragged down a peg or two.}

06 Mar 2017 03:58:23
Thanks Ed002. I'm a cynic by nature and have wondered in the past just how "in the know" some of the Ed's are. Over the past few years you have occasionally gone into depth to explain the behind the scenes machinations of various aspects of the footballing world and have proven quite clearly your qualifications for educating idiots like me. Ta :)

06 Mar 2017 04:28:19
Awesome ed002 thank you :)
I wonder about the DOF point, it seems like a definite need for any club. Particularly thinking about the club's identity and structure moving forward, surely that decision makings needs to be rubber stamped at a level higher or removed from the manager role aye? I always felt that you establish what you want as a club and then recruit the right people to deliver it.

Is michael edwards and the sporting director role the solution there?

06 Mar 2017 05:56:55
Ed. A good read with what you have put above, Can I ask please do you think Everton are looking to get towards this structor with there new planned set up/ ownership. Where do you see them in five years?

{Ed002's Note - MIchael Edwards role is a little different in that he assesses the data of players from leagues around the world and determines whether a player would be a suitable fit for Liverpool in terms of playing and economics. Worked previously at Portsmouth and Tottenham where he performed similar roles - but he is not an out and out football person who understands pure talent nor is he a person tied in with the footballing network in the way others are.}

06 Mar 2017 07:33:08
Very good post 002.

06 Mar 2017 07:58:21
Brilliant post ed 002.

06 Mar 2017 09:25:27
Do you think somebody like Les Reed would be a good pick for LFC as Director Of Football? Although, i would expect he is very happy at Southampton.

{Ed002's Note - I am sure that there are plenty of folks out there who would be suitable.}

06 Mar 2017 10:14:11
Point three will interest Waro. Brace yourself for the impact boss, he is coming for you 😎.

Excellent response ed, really enjoyed reading that. Would you say the club are beginning to recognise that change is needed to take them forward or are the people in charge blind to their ways?

{Ed002's Note - The club has done a great deal in terms of the stadium, restructuring the scouting staff, commercially and, now, restructuring the management. They are are in reasonable place but not where they want to be - but it has been a money pit that now has the saving grace of the new media money.}

That's interesting to hear ed. When the deal was announced the media was calling it the most lucrative shirt deal in the EPL. Did the media not read the fine print?

{Ed002's Note - When Liverpool signed the contract with New Balance it was not a bad deal but others have negotiated sliding scale deals which put them in a far better position.}

Stats are an absolute load of bull and i can't stand them. Scouting is an in depth study of a player and finding hidden gems. Stats won't tell you why a player is performing well at their current club and whether they will perform well, and whether they can be improved.

Its all about perception and insight into a players personality and qualities and how they can fit into the jigsaw puzzle of your team, not facts and manipulated figures. If our club is truly being run on a mostly stats based scouting method its no wonder our transfers don't work.

Waro won't like that post but I love it eds. Well put and totally spot on. Spirit of shankley group are an unwanted blight on the club we all love. YNWA.

{Ed002's Note - Waro like many of the Spirit of Shankly want the owners out and will continue to harrass and harangue them in an abusive and confrontational manner. Obviously this doesn't help the players or the club and two players have already made it clear that they have been affected by the fans and what appears on web sites and social media etc.. The Spirit of Shankly has a naive view that one day the club will be handed over to the supporters - that is simply never going to happen. If the club is sold it will go to another investor group like FSG, will go in to the hands of a Far Eastern partnership or will go (via floatation) in to the hands of institutional ownership. None of these will be good for the club - although many like the idea of wealthy Arab or Chinese owners - caveat emptor.

But very importantly Waro is open and honest about his opinion and views - and that I really do respect. It is a pity his mother didn't drop him on his head more often as a child and knock some sense in to him.}

When you can you start ed002?

Crooky.

"a simple 6 point plan" 😄.

Thanks ed002, good read, but perhaps not that simple to implement.

{Ed002's Note - Everything can be done within 2 years Ron.}

Cheers for the reply eds. I just don't get the spirit of shankley group at all. If u support the club and players how can you be so destructive towards it? Which player's have been affected eds? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Karius and Can - at least. But it is not just the Spirit of Shankley that trashes the staff and the players, and the owners.}

We'd better be careful what we wish for. Look at Arsenal right now. Their fans are literally eating each other alive due to the Wenger in/ Wenger out warring factions.

Ed002

Do you think with what Billy Hogan has worked on since being appointed his previous position to his new role, that he has the qualities and guile to show the leadership and major decision making that would be needed to carry out your .
6 point plan?

In other words can he do
(or would he do) what needs to be done in your opinion within a 2-3 yr time frame?

{Ed002's Note - I don't want to get involved in stoking any fires about the management team. They have some good people but you need to remember these are business people not football people. They need someone senior who knows what shape the ball is.}
