Hi Eds

Any ideas on how far Flanagan is from being fit? He'll have a big part to play this year I feel, particularly if Clyne or Moreno picks up an injury.

Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed030's Note - No idea sorry, I do know he is in and around Melwood doing some fitness training though. }

06 Aug 2015 23:20:05
There was a post on the official site a few days ago - he's training but using non pressure scenarios - i think its probably 2 months still off of returning to the team.

Gomez can cover both positions.

Loan update.

Danny Ward and aberdeen fell agonisingly short at the final hurdle of their europa qualifiers drawing 1-1 tonight after losing the first leg 2-1.
This means there will be no European football this season for Danny ward

Believable7 Unbelievable0

{Ed030's Note - That's disappointing, would have done him the world of good to get some European experience. }

07 Aug 2015 01:17:49
The little experience he has gotten will do him good, regardless Ed.

07 Aug 2015 14:46:15
He's in Scotland. that's European enough

Just looking at our possible front four now we know Milner and hendo should be holding. Coutinho, firmino, lallana, benteke.

With ibe and sturridge on the bench could we possibly have the best attack in the league.

Most will say no but I feel if we tighten our defence we could have another season like the one before last.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

{Ed030's Note - I think City with Silva, Sterling and Aguero have the best attack in the league followed by Hazard, Willian, Costa and maybe Arsenal if they buy a decent striker. I expect Sturridge to start when fit at most likely the expensive of Lallana out of the names you mentioned. }

07 Aug 2015 05:40:44
Milner and Hendo holding is a terrible idea where both are not holding players and theirs biggest strength is to push high up the pitch and press high.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 05:42:20
Ed030, it could be Sterling - Aguero - KDB with silva behind.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed030's Note - De Bruyne had a fantastic season in the Bundesliga and I would be very unhappy if he moves to City. He should wait another season or two for Madrid,Barca or Bayern to move for him imo. }

07 Aug 2015 11:45:32
If they work together well, 1 can hold while the other presses, with their fitness, levels, they should be able to press enough. With 4 players in front of them, they should make up for the pressing too

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 20:50:55
Can sombody tell me if we have more players than we can register what happens to the surplus players ,do they play for the reserves ,can they sign on loan for another club after the window shuts ? Or do we just carry on paying them and they train for a season? I haven't seen ask so apologies if this has been answered

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Aug 2015 22:39:34
If the player is U21 you do not need to register them for your premier season quota; so I think we are ok - that being said we still have too larger squad.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 17:40:13
I think with a lot of players still at the club who are surplus to requirements we may have a busy transfer deadline day! For the first time since the whole Torres / Carroll debacle.
Although I do love a busy deadline day.
The wonderful highs, the gruesome lows and the creamy middles.

Benteke, 20 goals a season man (if he stays fit)
Sturridge, 20 goals a season man (if he stays fit)
The midfield is good enough, its just the back 5 that worries me.
4th or 5th this season, then if we hold onto the likes of Coutinho, then a possible title shot next season if we invest in a world class CB.

Believable14 Unbelievable4

06 Aug 2015 14:35:30
Change Cb to *worldclass goalkeeper * and you've got yourself a valid post

If those two get 20 a piece we should be looking at top 3.

Agree10 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 15:43:14
This squad is capable of making the top four, and if Benteke, Firmino and Coutinho play well, they will be fighting for the title at the end of the season. Not what the average fan believes after a terrible season, but I refuse to give up on us before the games even begin. Start with a win against Stoke and we'll see where it goes.

We are going to win the league

Agree5 Disagree2

06 Aug 2015 18:45:45
Doesn't matter who's in the team, if Brendan hasn't learnt from his mistakes then we won't be top 4.
As for the title, we are a goalkeeper and a top defensive partnership at CB away from that, the midfielders and strikers look good enough on paper to me though.

Agree5 Disagree1

07 Aug 2015 06:51:39
Whilst I agree with the sentiment, it isn't realistic. Aside from the fact that the chances of us being able to attract a world class keeper/ defender are slim at best, we simply couldn't afford to pay players of that calibre if we did.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 07:24:35
Sorry DBol, with Skrtel, Lovren and Mingolet at the heart of our defence, we won't be winning the league.

06 Aug 2015 12:46:47
Hi Eds . If and when we finally off load Borini , Balotili , Enrique etc do you expect us to do any more dealings in the transfer market or have we got our lot for the season ahead . Personally I think we need another quality CDM , if Lucas gets injured I know we have people that can play in that roll all be it not their natural position but will be less effective as a CDM , I also think are CB positions are dodgy and still our weakest area in the team what do you think.
Cheers Notsozippy

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have no shortage of midfield players and could use Can in that position. Liverpool have added two centre backs already this summer, although one will cover for LB as well - there won't be any more CBs arriving.}

06 Aug 2015 13:29:27
I say this not to bash can but out of concern because I think he has a future but I don't know where on the field. Do you guys think he can play as a DM? You can see he likes to take players and he's good at it. Can can play DM or even should we "waste" a bright offensive spark.

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 13:55:31
That is a Dear Brendan question. He bought him and must have had an idea where to play him in midfield because clearly he is neither a CB or a FB by trade. If BR bought him YET doesn`t know where to harness his immense ability and potential then, his coaching acumen should be called into question if it already has not.

Agree9 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 14:14:02
He was bought to replace Lucas but it looks like he is an attacking midfeidler to me. I am pretty sure BR never saw Can before his move to Liverpool like many others.

Agree8 Disagree3

06 Aug 2015 14:18:58
But what if when he bought him, he knew Exactly where he was going to play him once the rest of the jigsaw falls into place. I get the impression that you are one of those on here who WANTS BR to fail irrespective of the consequences to the club ♣

Agree4 Disagree6

06 Aug 2015 14:52:13
Well to be fair BR has been working in his jigsaw for over 3 years, spent close to 300 million and bought about 25 players. I think it's a fair question when we have bought an attack minded midfielder in Can who has been played at CB, LB and will most likely end up as a DM. If his jigsaw doesn't fall into place this season it never will.

Agree12 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 14:53:33
Brendan doesn't need us to help him fail, he has all the attributes to do that all by himself

Agree11 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 15:40:05
Lucas was brought as an attacking midfielder but developed his game as a defensive midfielder so i'm pretty sure Emre Can could do the same.

Agree5 Disagree3

06 Aug 2015 15:48:20
Yes bigd but if we wanted a DM we should have just gone and bought one last year instead. That's the point it just seems certain buys/ positions just haven't been thought through.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 15:53:15
Lucas was actually bought as a DM midfielder but had played much of his football in a more attacking role.

Rafa moulded him.

Agree2 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 16:48:13
Davey

You mean buy a Cat and train it to become a tiger?

Agree2 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 18:25:38
Maybe, I just think that Rafa saw something in him which no one else did at the time.

He's still a true professional and a cracking player.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 20:31:43
I see Can as a multi talented player who can play numerous roles in the team. I would say mainly a box to box type midfielder but should Lucas be out of the team he is more than capable of filling in there and doing a really good job. We could always adjust the teams shape slightly to accommodate his style more.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 21:11:24
Wasn't Lucas pretty much a failed attacking mid? Still think he could play until at least January so Can can learn from him. Emre's runs and that little chipped ball in for a goal last year point to an attacking position in my view.

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Aug 2015 22:28:58
Lucas was an attacking midfielder when Rafa bought him, but he was industrious enough to replace Mascherano and still keep the ball ticking on. I like seeing Lucas in the team, as you know you have someone who will give their all and will make a fair few tackles. Equally as talented as Allen with the ball at his feet but much better tactically, though I haven't written off the latter.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed030's Note - I think Lucas offers a lot more then Allen. Lucas also maintains the position better and resisting the temptation to attack with the team something while Allen does not do leaving himself out of position a lot. }

06 Aug 2015 22:54:09
Lucas was (I believe) player of the season in the brazilian league prior to us buying him and was played as a box to box midfielder.

NB: just because one player can adapt to another position doesn't mean another one can.

Lucas with the right players (i.e. not all defense minded) plays the role very well; in the 2013-14 season when Gerrard was injured no one on here at the time wanted Gerrard to come back due to how the midfield 3 (not tip of the diamond) was playing.

Still some of us will never be happy!

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 23:54:49
He was the top scorer in an u-21 comp.
Which Brazil were in. Playing an attacking role for them. One of the reasons rafa bought him.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 01:22:12
Comparing Lucas to Allen shows how far he has fallen in the eyes of some fans. Allen is and never will be in his class.

ive seen a few posts down the page declaring that gerrards slip against chelsea "literally" lost us the league.

it is so simplistic to say that. when are people going to realise that the prem is a marathon and not a sprint?

the slip was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back but to site is as the single reason is ignorrant.

we could have easily picked up those lost points at another point in the season. how about draw to west brom where kolo played that awful sideways pass? how about getting battered by hull on new years day?

i'm sure there are other points we threw away as well.

the chelsea result was one of many results that cost us the league.

i know some people will still disagree with this but at least give me a plausible reason rather than hitting the button.

Believable15 Unbelievable5

06 Aug 2015 13:30:29
You have just answered why gerrards slip did cost us the title.

The season is a marathon. You will lose matches, get injuries, have players making mistakes, get your tactics wrong but its all to get you to the end of the season and still be in the title run in.

Remember when man u beat us to the league but got smashed by us? The double we did on them aswel.

We had gone through ups and downs throughout the campaign, won what 11 games on the trot, beat the champions at home to make it our title to lose.

Gerrard said it best 'we don't let this slip now' or something along those lines.

The whole season was done we had the league and unfortunately gerrards slip let Chelsea into a game they wernt showing any signs of winning.

It wasn't his fault in the sense that I hate him now lol but it was the point which lost us that game and then impacted the palace game as we were trying to get the goal difference back.

Yes we could of lost the last two games anyway but the slip was the point we lost the league

Think about what you post back to me and imagine Allen had slipped. You know for a fact this would be a whole different argument.

Also if the slip came in October then your argument would be spot on

It's the red blinkered glasses that are having people not blame that slip.

I love gerrard for the record and can't believe this is the first season were he won't be there since I've been watching them.

I wish him all the luck and just think that slip was written in the stars for him it was too sweet to go and get the league.

Good luck stevie and thanks for everything.

Agree6 Disagree11

06 Aug 2015 13:57:35
The point of my initial post wasn't to highlight gerrards slip, it was just a light hearted post which was supposed to highlight we had similar problems that season i.e. the fixture list wasn't favorable our best striker was out, and nobody gave us a shot at top four. The point was football is unpredictable show some support to the team who knows where the season takes us! but by all means if you guys wanna focus on that one little joke be my guest.

FYI us losing out on the title was not Stevie's fault! i have followed football enough to know the final points tally isn't based off one game.

Get behind the team people!! "support-ers" are supposed to "support"

Agree3 Disagree3

06 Aug 2015 14:03:28
We also drew with Palace the next game when it wasn't clear yet if City will not lose more points (so you cannot assume that if we had drew the game with Chelsea we would have won the Palace game). But I agree every point we lost that season was worth exactly like the point(s) we lost against Chelsea.

Agree3 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 14:05:51
Forever96, sorry but your argument is just wrong, you can't disregard every other part of the season because Gerrards slip was the last thing that happened.
Here's the fact, no one thing caused us to lose the league last year.
It's naive to think that, it is a combination of everything that caused us to lose the league.
Did we finish a couple of points behind city?
This means any draw that we had could have cost us the league, any combination of parables caused us to lose it.
Gerrard wasn't at fault and although other fans want us to think that just accept it and move on because they just do it to wind us up about our legend.

Agree5 Disagree2

06 Aug 2015 14:24:50
Fanobip, but if we had drawn with Chelsea, we wouldn't have gone looking for more goals at palace when we were 3 goals up because goal difference wouldn't have come into it

Agree2 Disagree2

06 Aug 2015 14:29:24
What tosh - the linesman who ruled Sterling's good goal offisde against City was the culprit. Bring on TV replays and a fifth official! Oh, and as Morinhon said, the FAs fault for not docking city points for failing FFP, Oh and.

Agree3 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 14:32:07
Obviously it's not Gerrards fault he slipped, it was a freak accident. But until that game, the title was in our own hands.

It obviously wasn't the sole reason but it was a turning point

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 15:35:52
It wasn't gerrards fault he slipped for god sake. I'm not saying anything like that, your all arguing for arguments sake. I feel like a bloody ed.

We were 3-0 up against palace and if wr had of drawn or won the Chelsea game we wouldn't of chased for more goals.

Gerrard slip cost us the league its a simple as that. Red blinkered glasses.

Just think what you would be saying if Allen had of slipped.

Agree4 Disagree4

06 Aug 2015 15:39:49
Oh a wagas don't start all that moaning about supporters should support.

My season ticket, missing shifts in work to watch games, travelling away shows I support. I love gerrard to the core, but that slip happened and I'm not going to lie because he won us the champions league

If your wife leaves the front door open at night and you get burgled, whose fault is it? The fact they haven't created self locking doors yet? Are you going to report it to panorama? LOl

As I have said a thousand times what would you all be saying if Allen had of slipped.

Agree4 Disagree1

06 Aug 2015 19:00:30
For me what cost us the title was Hendo getting sent off in the previous game against City. Not blaming the lad for being sent off, it happens in football. Especially in big games. However he was a big loss to us in the Chelsea game, not just against Chelsea, against Palace too. If hendo was playing against Chelsea perhaps he would have had the cover we needed when Gerrard slipped. You could also blame Sakho for passing the ball when Stevie wasnt ready for it. I think people though sometimes forget that footballers are people at the end of the day. We all make mistakes. Is sad for Steven because he will be the greatest captain to never win the title. Was such a massive blow to him as a player and no doubt he felt personally responsible. But we win as a team and lose as a team. We still could have won the title after the Chelsea game, just was out of our hands. Gerrards reputation can't ever be tarnished for me. He is a legend amd cemented his place among the very beat many years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 20:41:34
so when toure assisted aniche vs west brom? That didn't cost us the league?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 21:42:52
Any game we didn't get three points cost us equally to the Chelsea game. The order they occurred makes no difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed030's Note - What the OP is trying to say is before the slip, The league was in Liverpool's hands so the games before the slip where irrelevant because after those games we was top of the league. I can see where he is coming from to be honest. }

06 Aug 2015 21:45:26
The league doesn't lie

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 21:46:26
I don't know about others but gerrards memory isn't tarnished.

As soon as it happened I turned to my mate and said that had to happen to him because anyone else would of been slaughtered lol

Everyone starts calling people crap fans an all that for stating a fact that ' the slip cost us the title'

The whole league has games throughout and it is all for those last couple of games to be in with a shout of winning it and we had done it all. The good the bad and the ugly

The league was ours ti lose at the time when gerrard slipped and hence (lost us the league as it was ours if we kept winning well Wwd)

Take the red blinkered glasses off people

What would of happened if Allen had of slipped / I will keep asking that until something post and is truthful that he would of been absolutely slaughtered.

It was so lucky it happened to stevie

Love you gerrard lad thanks for everything!!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed030's Note - The slip is just talked of because it was Gerrard, What about the poor defending and misses vs Palace and the Henderson red card. }

06 Aug 2015 22:16:26
Or here's a thought.

Don't play a style of football at home where you push right up and split the two central defenders leaving a man in the middle on his own. Particularly in a game you don't have to win but you can't afford to lose.

Gerard's slip was a problem because he was effectively the last man.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 07:43:01
Eds you tried to explain to another poster above.

I know we had bad defending, poor results, bad performances etc but at that point vs Chelsea the league was ours to lose with 3 games to do we just needed to

WWD

we couldn't exactly try to win against hull in jan incase gerrard slipped later on in the league.

The league was ours for the taking.

And wassa so somehow your now trying to blame Brendan lol

For the record it was not gerrards fault he slipped, it was unlucky he was on his own in the middle, it was unlucky aswel the level of game it was.

But he still slipped.

Stop thinking you have to defend gerrard as if none of you have slated his performances last season lol

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 08:52:39
.we lost the Chelsea game 2-0 right?
Any one citing the chasing of goal difference vs palace cost us,need to then also change their tune of that game vs Chelsea, when they went 1-0 ahead they sat back and made us come at them, those saying chelsea weren't inthe game, need to take their heads out their ass. Chelsea were the dominant team till that point. When they went 1-0 up,they sat back, and let us come at them and swatted us away everytime.

We lost the league because we simply were not the ebst team across 38 games.
as has been mentioned we blew points vs WBA,Villa,Arsenal,Hull, Everton.

Like I say you can blame Gerrards slip, but chelsea still had 60 odd minutes to beat us,and they grabbed another goal. why not blame Aspas for the corner,or BR for the change of tactics,we were pot shotting from 30 yards chasing the game instead of being composed. that was every players fault.

This happened over a year ago fellas. It's time to move on

Have I missed a announcement for vice captain or isit still yet to be confirmed ? Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Aug 2015 11:36:52
It has not been announced yet. Skrtel, Lucas and perhaps Milner and Lallana are the candidates.

I think there will be a 2nd captain and a 3rd captain instead of a "vice captain".

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Aug 2015 14:52:14
Who cares anyway? It's meaningless.

Even the captaincy is more of a ceremonial role than anything else. Shouldn't make any difference in the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree4

06 Aug 2015 17:37:07
I have a bad feeling it's going to be Skrtel. Shudder.

Personally I'd give it to Milner or Lallana.

Agree2 Disagree2

Definitely would support Milner. During the trip down under there were countless times where he would be seen giving guidance and feedback to the younger players on the pitch. Natural leadership qualities

Lucas hands down. If Milner had been here awhile he might even be captain.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 00:15:48
Does time at the club mean anything, if that player (Milner) would get the respect of the other players? It's Milner for VC for me!

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 01:11:55
scouse John, A player who is made captain is not made captain or vice captain because of how long they are at the club you daft fella, Jose Enrique for captain if he's not sold, with Skrtel as vice captain by your reckoning. A captain is a leader a motivator a player that can rase a teams spirit when there 3 down at half time. I think Lucas is a good shout I unfortunately wouldn't pick Skrtel he needs direction. Milner would also be a good shout. I can't really see past Milner or Lucas.

User013 to say a captian makes no difference have you ever sat down and watched the CL 2005 or the Steven Gerrard FA Cup final against West Ham. Steven Gerrard was not called Captain Fantastic because he looked good in an armband. The right captain is the rock of your team.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Aug 2015 01:25:14
What has Milner done to earn the vice captaincy over Lucas and Sahko who both have played their hearts out for a manager who would gladly see the back of them if he was left to his incompetent guise? The answer would be absolutely NOTHING.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi everyone, I would love to get some advice from you guys. I live in Quebec, Canada, and my dream is to go to Anfield to attend a game. I thought about going to Liverpool anytime between January and May 2016, I don't really care which game to attend, just a home game in that period. I have found everything I need to know about the flight and the accommodation (would cost around 1000 pounds for both), the only problem is getting tickets for a game. I looked on the official LFC website, and if you pay for a membership, it seems you have an advantage in obtaining tickets. For non-members, tickets are put on sale 6 weeks before the fixture. So, is it worth paying for a membership to get a ticket or is it possible to get a ticket in the 6 weeks before a fixture and still be able to book a flight and a room in time? Would really love to get some advice on this!
Have a good one

The Member option would be my route, mate. If the team is doing well you'll never get the non-member sale. Looking at the time you want to come. You might be looking at a lot of Monday nights if you pick a big game. The last home game of the season,vs Watford would be my choice, as it Will be rocking if we're playing for something. The players do the lap at the end with their children, so the occasion will last longer. Anyway good luck. Come on you Reds.

Hi

I am from South Africa. I buy tickets from Thomas Cook. They specifically cater for international visitors wanting tickets for BPL games

Hope this helps

members still struggle to get tickets, your best bet is going for a hospitality package, that way at least you know you have guaranteed tickets in advance.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 10:30:35
Don't quote me on this as I may be wrong, my dad sorts our tickets with our memberships so I'm not completely up to date. I think they work on a points kind of basis, so you gain 'points' from the tickets purchased from the previous season. Different games require different amounts of 'points' i.e United and Everton would be top bracket games so you'd need more points to apply for tickets for them. So I'm not sure if a membership would benefit you just for one game. Like I say I might be completely wrong, so you'd be best checking with the club.

I also have no idea how easy it would be to get tickets through general admission 6 weeks before as we use our memberships.

Failing these you could look at tickets through tour operators such as Thomas Cook, although you'll end up paying more.

Hope this helps! Good luck.

Hospitality tickets probably your best bet. Pricey but if you're prepared to pay flights etc anyway .

Unless you can get tickets for a cup game, it will be very difficult to get general sale, hardly ever happens. Hospitality is your best bet, though the Thomas Cook option sounds like it could be worth a shot

Buying a ticket face value is near impossible. Thomas cook is hugely over priced.
If you go on the lfc ticketing site and search for hospitality, you can buy the lower end hospitality tickets that include a match ticket and lunch or something for ~ 80 for cat c games.

I don't know why I find it so absolutely so xxxxxxxxx annoying but virtually all of the Guardian columnist have chosen Raheem Sterling as their prospective player of the season.

Has this actually happened before and someone has left us to soar to new heights in England. No helium joke intended.

Mind you one of them suggested the bitters will finish above us!!!

Sterling will score goals and there are hardly 20 year old players in the league to net 10-15 goals.
Kane may be.

06 Aug 2015 08:17:41
He will score more than 20 next season for them. So will Benteke for us though.

Nobody should care whether Sterling becomes player of the season or not. City paid £49M for him. That was great business for us at that time. We cannot project the future so we all have to just move on from it

20 goals for Sterling? I'd be very impressed if he hits that

Amazing how all the pundits without exception said six months ago how bad a decision was it for him not to sign a new contract with us, how idiot was his agent, why he was too young to move bla bla bla and now suddenly he is the candidate for the younger player of the season and the consensus is he will be a big success for City. Seems like a lot of people owe an apology to his agent.

Twenty goals playing for city is where he would want to be but goal scoring is where he needs the most work , I wish him all the best against other teams

He's English and cost big money that's why the press build him up, if his finishing is anything like last season he's no chance of getting 20+

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 13:02:43
There is no way that sTerling will score 20+ goals. The boy is talented, very quick and can beat his man but the fact remains that he can't shoot. Even that lovely goal against chelsea last season was a complete miss hit. 10-12 goals max. I don't know if anyone else agrees but I can see city struggling this season? Theor strength was in their spine but Kompany and Toure seem to be fading, Agüero has fitness issues which only leaves Hart as a top class constant. Silva is quality but he can't carry the team on his own, much the same as coutinho couldn't carry us alone last season

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Aug 2015 13:48:14
20 goals? He managed 8 for us playing half the season as our number 1 striker. Everyone blames our strikers for lack of goals last season but I blame sterling as he played the most up top. Rodgers must take some blame for putting him there in the first place! He'll do okay there if he gets some playing time but he'll miss twice as many sitters as he scores.

Sterling won't get anywhere near player of the season. There are 3 standout pkayers in our league over the seasons gone by still in it. Hazard,Yaya and Sanchez. There are other really good players, but those 3 are a level above the rest, especially going forward, which seems to count for more. Sterling, won't even register on the radar

{Ed030's Note - I personally think Cazorla deserves to be mentioned in the same class as the mentioned players, Such a class player. }

A quick question Eds. What has happened to Ryan McLaughlin? Has the club decided he is not good enough to make the step up to the first team?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he is likely to move on.}

06 Aug 2015 11:35:26
Injuries have prevented him being a regular at the U21s for more than a season. he spend large parts of last season injured too, and has now been overtaken by randall as the first choice RB for the U21s.

My personal opinion is that "senior" players for the U21s needs to move on for their benefit. Yesil, McLaughlin, Smith and Dunn would fall in this category.

Hi eds how big is Liverpools first team coaching squad compared to other big clubs, I know we just replaced two of ours but from what I can see we don't have as many coaches as say city, Chelsea, arsenal and United. Why not? Surely this is detrimental to our players? I would like to see hyypia and zenden join because they seem good coaches and carragher simply because of his organisation when he was a players. He knows how to defend

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - we don't have as many as most do these days, because the manager sets out how many he wants. As for the rest, I would rather we went and got the best coaches rather than give out jobs for the boys.}
