Just watching Liverpool cd valerenga and Aquaman is superb Every cross from the corner is immaculate, shooting is brilliant. He looks sharp and strong. Why oh why would we want to get rid of him. Superb back up and if can prove himself week in week out should be a starter in my eyes.

why are all these sites saying that liverpool are unwilling to pay the hefty price of cahill put my bolton, which is in the region of 12 million + add
ons. Why is that too kuch with our current problems, plus hes english with proven premier league qualities, i say good deal, especially if it helps us unload ngog or a similar player at the same time

West Ham have put in a 3mil bid for Ngog dont think he will drop down a league but really hope he will. Also why is evryone putting down Andy Caroll and screaming for a new striker he is a sick player and without a doubt will prove his worth. Everybody just goes on about the fee which to me was not a normal deal get over the fee and have faith. KK might not be the best tactician in the world but he is one of the best man mangers ever he will fill the players full of confidence and make them all fill there potential that is why we will suceed. hey ed, quick question regarding Jovanovic's move to Anderlecht. Is he taking a pay cut to play for them, or are we having to pay compensation to cover the rest of his wages? Surely, Anderlecht do not have the money to pay the same amount as we were for his wages. Thanks in advance.

I'm as disappointed as anyone that players like Jovanovic and other 'dead wood' haven't turned out as we hoped, but is there any need to be so disrespectful about them, when they leave? We're the best supporters in the world why not wish them well and let them move on.

going to anfield to watch the game tomorrow, and probably spend money i dont have in the shop. I've not drove up for a couple of years now and normally get the train. Does anyone know the best place to park for the game tomorrow?

looking forward to the start of the season, can't wait to see the new team firing. Reasonably happy with the signings so far, would have liked a big signing but not sure who i would realistically wanted, would be nice to have had aguero etc but never really thought he would come with his wage demands etc, I think downing will turn out to be a quality buy and will provide Carroll with the crosses he needs. If I'm honest I'm not too impressed with his ball skills but then he wasnt bought to run the length of the pitch with the ball at his feet taking people on. He'll do well at what he does and would put him down for 20 goals this year.

On a different note, i looked at the Victor Chandler website on Wednesday and they had Newcastle at 7/1 to get relegated I've got nothing againt them but think thats a good bet.

In my humble opinion Torres deserves the same reception as any player who pissed off like and when he did when he did by our fans when he returns to Anfield. Left us high and dry on the last day of the window despite our position in the league and looking liked we needed every bit of help we could get, and he knew it as well. Said that at least he never went to Man City,but i'm afraid even City with all their money wasn't in the mood to buy a 50mil striker who peaked earlier then normal and will never regain the form he showed for the first 2 seasons . He said he was going to stay for the season and left the to the first club that came sniffing which happened to be Chelsea knowing how hard it would be to find a replacment. He said things about Liverpool FC that was completley out of order,not made up stuff but actual things like how Chelsea City and Utd will be the only teams constantly competing for the next 10 years or so. That Chelsea are a bigger club then Liverpool,lied in his book,in fact it should be under the fiction section if its still being sold on car boots. Thought he'd go and try and snatch a medal or 2. But the final straw for me was how much he celebrated scoring in a pre season friendly against Aston Villa like it was a C.League final winner,dont think he celebrated like that when he scored the winner at the Euro's in 08, and did you see him track back straight from kick off and win the ball back,couldn't be assed to break out of a jog for us in his last season,downed tools simple as. That goal for Chelsea ment more to him by his reaction to any of the goals he scored for us last year. Same boat as Owen, thought the grass was greener and left us getting a pittance for him at the time. It back fired in everyway for Torres, except for the extra money in his bank account. Jonson6

Afternoon ROYZERED and The Real KB and all reds how about a discussion on football chants and songs and who has the best. Obviously Liverpool have great funny chants and so have my team Celtic, and best about both our fans is we never take ourselves too seriously. I remember an old firm game during Celtic's 9 in a row run and we were 3-0 up after 20 minutes so the celtic fans started chanting "all we are saying is give them a chance" ha ha then the celtic fans started to CHEER every time a gers players touched the ball (which in those days was not often) and BOO the celtic team, as a put down and humiliation it was priceless. Another old firm game at old hamden park only the rangers end had a roof over it the rest of the ground was uncovered anyway Celtic again were well on top, the rain was teeming down and all the gers fans could come up with was "ee aye adio the tims are getting wet" yes gers fans so clever eh?, anyway to a MAN the whole Celtic end 20,000 started with "we're singing in the rain, just singing in the rain" and then ALL 20,000 started DANCING on the terraces Brilliant Come on Kopites lets hear some of your funny songs or chants.

People bang on about the likes of Mata and Aguero and fair enough they are decent but a) are they proven in the prem? b) do they wanna join Liverpool (kun obviously didnt) and c) How do you know exactly how good they are? I know some people watch the spanish leagues but only Kenny and our scouts know if they are good enough because most like me watch the Prem and only the odd Spanish game.
It seems if a player has a more exotic name the fans are happy, why?
Turan is a prime example. be honnest and tell me how many minutes of football youve actually seen him play? Il be honnest and il tell you, other than you tube clips zero
Lets be sensisble fellow reds, yes we are a great club and have the history but the reality is we are out of the elite competion and 99% of imported players are here for the cash. Wouldnt surprise me if one day suarez turned round and did a Torres, nothing surprises me in football anymore but I expect all our British signings to see their deals through and stay through thick and thin

He is not on their team roster, he is not on their transfer page, he is not mentioned on their news page since the news about him undergoing a medical.

Eds what players do you see from the reserves and academy making appearances for the first team this season.Also who do you see as our best prospect in the years to come. please post in rumours , thanks. {Ed009's Note - I believe that the closest to being a regular squad player is Coady - he has a quite phenomenal build for his age and, unlike the other young starlets, is close to being ready in my opinion. Sterling and Suso are the other two we will see getting a few appearances no doubt. Both are top talents with Sterling the most spectacular for me. Wisdom is another good player, but he seemed a little naive defensively in some of the pre season matches.}

Fair enough, i do swear a lot but i write as i'd speak, and i've been posting that way for a long time. Its only since i've mentioned for Albert to do one that this moaning has started by mostly nameless wonders as well. Regarding any new players we sign now, they will have missed out on pre season training with us and time to gel with their new teammates, dont you think it makes sense to get all your players in before starting pre season ? i know its not as simple as that, but surely KK could have got Enrique a CB in earlier on in the season, your thoughts please?

To the person who started the rumour about suarez not settling, your talk out of your rear end. If you can remember back in febuary marc time when he made his blistering start he said he had settled in, which is why he played so well. As for the clubs tracking, he's not up for sale

With Carra getting on now, Skrtel clumsy, Agger injury prone and Kyriakos old, slow AND clumsy - just imagine if we could get BOTH Dann and Cahill. That would be an amazing combination for the future of LFC, wouldn't it?

Ngog would be a good makeweight for the Cahill deal. They need a striker we need a defender. Get rid of a shed player plus due money and get in a great, young player.
As for Dann, I'm sure as a scouser we are his preferred option - so as long as we make a bid par with the competition we could probably start printing his shirts. Brum need to sell after all.

I hate seeing Kyriakos' name on the team sheet. Carra used to be best defender in the league, but every season (and not surprisingly) he is getting slower and slower and more and more prone to sloppy judgements. Love the bloke, but her can't 1st choice defender for much longer, we need stability at the back. Cahill is a perfect replacement as a Boltoner is used to lumping the ball upfield for 90 mins. Route 1, 'av it style.

For all the people bashing Torres just think about it .
He has not neccesary said the things in the press they often interprupt things to suit themselves, he saw Alonso go then Masch he had a bad injury which he struggled to get over then to top it off we got Hodgson as manager, jeez lads even Pepe was on the brink of going but the upside was we got £50mill for him .All of you saw we had no ambition under WOY who thought mid-table was a good result,so Torres has gone but £50mill and its been used for the team which is better than what we got for Macmanaman who you all praise ,the same guy who run his contract right down and went for nothing to us but big bucks to him so forget Nndo he has gone enjoy the memorys of when he played well for us and move on to support the players we have .

People have their opinions and we have the right to disagree but is there a need for aggressive verbal diarrea? I agree with what he is trying to say but not the way he is saying it. HI ED bad news on getting rid of poulson and joe cole front kk is going to offer them another season to prove themselves.Also have u noticed that the young players we are buying are about 6 years off of becoming first team regulars i just cannot see the reasoning in wasting money on two strikers like bueno and bagunda when we have such an abundence already would prefer to see someone like jeffren come my god sporting lisbon paid 3.3million for him and he has alot of potential bit worried going into the new campaign that we desparetly need a creative player not statues like henderson adams an downing it go's to show there wil be no flair this season at all do u watch all the pre season friendlys hull made us look ordinary galatasary smash us to bits valerenga caused us all sorts of problems i would not mind betting that kenny will get the sack before the turn of the year mark my words

Next time Torres is back at Anfield, I hope he gets the reception from the crowd that will totally shock him.

We are proud LFC supporters who respect good players and we have come to understand that we cant keep top players for ever. He was good for us but we move on, we've got Luis now.

He is expecting to be booed all the way through the game, and I hope we really shock him.

I for one would like the whole crowd to give him a standing ovation, and sing his old song to him for one last time............he would be absolutely choked and emotionally in tatters.............then in true LFC style, after welcoming him back to anfield.....we should boo him all the way through the game

He will get the message, but he will also regret he ever left.....
