Who is Suarez's favourite celebrity cook? Certainly not Delia. Maybe Anthony Worrall-Thompson? Lots of whisked egg whites on face tonight for Norwich. Their defence was sliced and diced apart, I peel sorry for them.

Any other food based puns (or buns) accepted.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They were well and truly stuffed

Agree0 Disagree0

It was obvious by half-time that Norwich's goose was cooked.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a piece of cake.

Agree0 Disagree0

They need to go and eat humble pie

How much better do we look with coutinho central the guy was outstanding today, he kept the game flowing our way. If we can get someone with half his quality on the left so he can stay there, we 'd be frightening to play against!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My thoughts exactly mate, he was excellent tonight and he really made a difference! Obviously not forgetting our Luis chipping in with one of the finer performances I've seen!

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2013 23:41:29
Please do not get carried away with the result tonight. Last season we beat them 5-0 at Anfield. We didn't make any ground up on any of our nearest threats. Let's see if we can beat MU at OT like Everton did. I think we all know we are unlikely to. Last 3 games: Everton would have beaten us out of sight except for Mignolet, Hull did beat us out of sight and deserved the 3 points. To night against Norwich - some great goals but an awful team Norwich.

Just been watching Arsenal against Hull, and they never gave them a kick. We are still far, far away from top 4, and will NOT get there this season.

Sad to say but I feel it is true.

West Ham next, and then let's see.

KBL

Believable0 Unbelievable1

We're not THAT far away from top 4.
we're fourth. cheer up mate.

what exactly were you hoping for tonight if not an emphatic win with incredible goals?

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a great response to a poor performance last weekend - that is the gist of the posts on here, and I don't consider that to be getting carried away at all - it is simply the truth. Everyone knows we are still fourth on the table. It was just good to see how we can play, and that the Hull loss wasn't a true reflection of the team we can be most weeks. Your post is silly man, and really was unnecessary in all honesty. I don't know how anyone can be bothered posting such nonsense after a great win like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hull did not deserve the win, they were not threatening us, their attacks were horrible, yet our defense was giving away goals cheaply. We were controlling the game without sweat yet our attack was toothless. So I can't say Hull deserve the win.
Everton was really lucky to win MU yesterday. MU was by far the best team.
Just to remind you Newcastle beat every single top team so far yet they lost from Swansea.
We are getting carried away because we are far better than Everton, United and Tottenham.

Agree0 Disagree0

FBL
just read your post, you are 100% on the money, I would also add, it was the luis saurez show, he regards himself as a hostage and will perform a jail break at the first oppertunity

Agree0 Disagree0

Here, here, Joe. People don't like to hear it but BR still hasn't got all the players he wants and it will take a few more seasons to get closer to the quality of Chelsea and Man City squads. Plus, it takes time to implement a new style of playing which I'm sure we'll see adjust subtly again when we add a few more quality players. Great result tonight, goals of pure quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

"we are far better than Everton, United and Tottenham"

Not at all. It will be absolutely neck and neck between us and these three teams for the 4th spot.

We cannot afford too many days like Hull or we could easily finish 7th, or lower.

Agree0 Disagree0

LIVERPRES, the hull game was a true
reflection of the way we've been
defending, slightest pressure and
we crumble, I get the impression
BR hasn't got a clue how to sort it
out, he has bought a GK 3C-HALVES
and were still chopping and changing
and conceding goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2013 22:45:22
Still struggling to decide which goal was the best.

no.1 - spectacular vision, swerve and dip and 40yds
no.3 - great flick and flew in
no.4 - sign of a top player. you take this for granted these days

Norwich did not do a lot wrong first half. second have we were better going forward. We are still vulnerable at the back and need to tighten up.

Some goals from midfield would help too.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No.3 the best, skill and technique just out of this world.

Agree0 Disagree0

No.3 was insane.
shades of le tissier.

The way he buys himself time and space to eventually take the shot by the slightest of hints he's going to take it early - sends the defender the wrong way and pure genius.

Agree0 Disagree0

After watching Suarez last night, I can definitely say ALL HAIL KING LUIS! Would love to see a banner showing that in the Kop against West Ham.

Agree0 Disagree0

No 1 clearly the best goal of the season followed closely by the 3rd one.

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually think the ease with which he took his 2nd goal on his left foot was phenomenal. not saying it was the best, but can't discount how good a goal it was.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea city both lucky lookin at the score

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If anyone can count themselves lucky, looking at the current table and recent result . It's obviously Spurs, 100%!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah city and Chelsea both played well enough to win, sloppy defending only makes it seem 'jammy' in some way. Agree with big bob, Spurs are playing pretty poorly and really are riding their luck. First off it was penalties helping them sneak 1-0's and now it's just force of will pushing them over the line. Grinding out results is what the best teams do though eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2013 22:20:13
after the poor display against Hull I had a go and rightly so, but tonight. Suarez' goal of the season, and the sublime free kick, amazing, it will be a sad day when he leaves us. a mention for Sterling too, he worked hard and got his reward, well done lads.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree Sterling put in a good shift, the amount of tracking back and awareness of his position defensively and offensively he displayed was good to see, obviously improving in training. now let's hope he can start running at and taking on defenders more, we'll have a hell of a player on our hands if he does.

Cant remember bale scoring more than one epic goal too many times in a game, this suarez fella must hold a prettt heafty price tag after his recent form. So happy I got up at 5am (aus time) for the match.

Completely forget the hull game now, ha the world is back in order.

Hi gents,
Gooner here in peace. Can I just say that your boy Suarez is the most incredible striker in the world (well, 2nd to Ronaldo).
I so wish we had him at the Emirates. Fantastic player and a joy to watch.

Peace.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm just glad we never sold him to Arsenal. Suarez playing in that Arsenal team would have been frightening.

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is definetely the 3rd best player in the world. In other news, Moyes has finally seen Everton beat Man United T Old Trafford.

Moyesin

YNWA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

But we do have to pity Norwich. 11 goals in 4 games. Maybe he's a secret Ipswich fam.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's Debatable about Surez being 3rd best player in the world.
Could Messi and Ronaldo do as well in the Premiership??

Agree0 Disagree0

Ronaldo did do as well! Messi is slightly questionable. he only does so well when he's directly competing with Ronaldo.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guess how good ronaldo would be in the prem is just one of those questions we'll never know the answer to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but joe, remember when Liverpool smashed Manchester United 4-1 and we made him look like a 4 year old.

Suarez better than messi

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can't disagree. We must build a team around this guy and keep him for years. We could win everything with Suarez, just need the money to be spent on top players around him. World class, on a par with Messi/Ronaldo

Agree0 Disagree0

Will be impossible to keep him I think, his heart is elsewhere. Still he if keeps on putting in performances like these we should be able to command a whopping price tag for him. Even 60mil is starting to look like an under sell.

Dare I say it, was Moyes holding our dear neighbours back?

a lot more urgency, better press, faster passing ( shown by how many we've mis placed! ) but they've worked hard to make up for hull, specially gerrard busting a nut. 3-0 up at home to norwich, half time, i'd bring suarez and gerrard off for alberto and aspas.

My main question is why no Sakho? He not only needs games to get to feel comfortable in the side and in the Prem but at 17 million i'm sure there was far better cheaper bench warming alternatives.
I understand Allen for Lucas as we can't play Lucas every single game and expect him to run every blade of grass without needing some bench time now and then,
I just wish Rodgers could see Couthino is no winger too. play him central behind Suarez and we'll see the best of him. We need not just a win but a convincing display tonight at home to put us back in the mix and erase the nightmare that was Hull.
Come on boys!
YNWA JFT96

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why no sakho? because agger is better and skrtle is playing like a man possessed. Pretty simple to me

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and coutinho is playing cam, with henderson rw and sterling lw. what a clueless post

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not clueless smart alec, I was going on not only a website report but the fact that couthino is always out wide.

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down, lads. Guv's post made perfect sense. Sakho does need a run of games but we have 4 quality CB's and no one is deserved of of being dropped so it's not a straightforward choice for main partnership it seems.

Also, BR does play Coutinho wide most games to accommodate him. Once we get a quality wide man he will hopefully be played in the centre every game.

The main thing is we got a good win. Still relying too heavily on Suarez for my liking as he won't score wonder goals every game so we need to create more chances from open play still

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2013 19:02:37
Heard berbatov wants to leave Fulham, he's still got it, yes he's quite lazy, but holds the ball up really well, he knows where the net is and would work with Suarez/ sturridge bouncing of him and it would add depth, opinions?
What do eds think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I would rather play with ten men then that lazy tit.}

Only thing it would add depth to is our wage bill. Lazy lazy lazy.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2013 18:59:12
No Aspas, No Alberto and No Lucas. Ok. Why is Sakho on the bench again? Why did we buy him to sit him on the bench? 9M + 7M + 17M = 33M on the bench.
Am I being negative if I ask why is our bench so. expensive? Are FSG watching and if they are will they give Brenda money to spend in January on players he might put on the bench? . I'm baffled. If they're not good enough, he should've seen it, that's why he's doing the job and not me. Sorry, I hope it's because I'm thick.

I know it's only Norwich but anything other than a win, a convincing win at that, and things will begin to look very uncomfortable for Brenda and Liverpool.
Here's hoping for a win. YNWA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Two games in four days is the main reason the squad needs to be rotated (god I sounded like Rafa there). I'm just pleased Moses is back on the bench, I don't want to hammer the lad but he's just not the quality we need. If Aspas and Alberto don't feature over the busy winter period then fair enough you could argue the money used on them was wasted.

Agree0 Disagree0

Allen coutinho mognolet 35 million starting maybe you are thick sakho isn't starting because he isn't ready and the risk is to high this is a must win match try complaining after the match

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more. I'd play Sakho and would have Alberto rather than Sterling and change the set up a little.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players aren't picked on how much they cost mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Go look how much man citys bench is worth.
another clueless post.

Agree0 Disagree0

rodgers still plays flanagan on the left.

POINTLESS. he won't even get back the halfway line. so he ruins the dynamics of the team. because there's no threat from the left to overlap when coutinho cuts inside and he will get sandwiched by the right back and a midfielder

i think every fan knows its better to play johnson on the left who would attack. and either kolo or henderson. or kelly right back. or any other under 21 who actually has the skill and confidence to join attacks

im not hating here its just frustrating

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's going to be marking Nathan Redmond. We need to blood this youngster and give him a chance. If he doesn't do the job tonight then we'll see; I agree about Johnson on the left though, at least. He doesn't deserve the place right now though at RB let alone LB.

Agree0 Disagree0

You kind of are hating flanno done well against hull your just looking for a excuse

Agree0 Disagree0

Flanghan is never going to make it especially not as a lb he's league one standard at best. No quality at all just a poor young rb that offers no pace and no attacking quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its always hard to look at our own young lads coming through because we want them all to make it but I do have to argree that in the system were playing the 2 full backs need to be athletes have pace power to get up an down the pitch l like flanno he, d throw himself infront of a bus for the team but I don't think he's the long term answer but he, ll do well at a mid to low table prem club if he gets out an gets games

Agree0 Disagree0

Flanagan played well again tonight. Defensively looks more solid than Enrique and, more importantly, sticks to his position rigidly. I think he has done well in the games he's been in so far. To constructively criticise i'd say his game needs work going forward, some of his passes/crosses are below the required standard. Otherwise though he has been very solid, think it's harsh to single him out for criticism when he is a) young and b) performing better than a lot of the more senior players in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Flaganan is a center back, not left back. So nobody should expect him going forward with sublime crosses.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the nature of the position, to be a good full back you need to get forward and be able to put in good crosses. He's doing well defensively and we've looked quite solid down the left hand side since he has been starting so I hope he keeps getting games, it's the only ay he will improve.

(banter I suppose?)

Ed001 & Reds,

Just for a laugh- would you take any post- rafa players back? In particular from that huge batch clear out we had in 2011 summer.

Masch is an obvious choice, but I was wondering if there were any others that would add to the squad?

Maybe meireles, babel, insua or maxi?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - only Alonso for me.}

Thought arbeloa was decent and masch Alonso has to be the top of the list.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gabriel Paletta. JOKE.

Agree0 Disagree0

In their hay day or how they are now? In their hay day arbeloa, finnan, hyppia, mash, Alonso, torres, Garcia & ensua. Obviously virtually none of them now

Agree0 Disagree0

Konchesky!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001 masch was world class replace lucas with him everyday man

Agree0 Disagree0

Hyypia was a Houllier buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Finnan was also there before Rafa, who spent most of his time trying to replace him. Masch was never, has never and will never be world class. Very good headless chicken, good passer of the ball and fantastic workrate, but he was positionally inept, which is why he was always chasing round at a sprint. I would never want him back after the way he treated the club who rescued him from West Ham's reserves anyway. He is a piece of dog turd and deserves nothing but contempt.}

I think he is world class personally rather than being a mere "headless chicken" though I can understand why you would say that, considering he is (or was) a midfielder his passing range and goal scoring record is atrocious. Never the less a beast at breaking up opposition attacks - way he treated the club was unforgivable though, I wouldn't have him back either.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he was far from a beast at breaking up attacks, as it was him going missing that allowed the opposition to attack in the first place! He is that good that he is kept out of the Barca team by an extremely average Busquets, that says it all to me.}

PoorWayne, sure roy the bore brought him in lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and I would have garcia.

Agree0 Disagree0

But Ed he does play at centre back for Barcelona and his is first choice defensive mid for Argentina. I'm not saying he is the best, just that he's not quite as bad as your saying IMO.

p.s. never understood why Rafa wanted to get shot of Finnan as soon as he arrived. I know Arbeloa was pretty good like but he as trying to get Kromkamp to replace him before that!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No. Try the search function.}

not been on for a while, hope everyone is well, I was wondering how young suso was doing out on loan? I've not watched a lot of spanish football this season so all info would be greatly appreciated. cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He has a good return in terms of total assists and goals combined despite playing in a team who are currently bottom 3. Also notable from when I've watched Almeria is his excellent work rate. As you may have already read on here he could walk straight back into our team but I'm glad Almeria have him because they will play him every game that he is available for so he will certainly come back a better player. They have so far played him Wide right and left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nearly exactly as previously desctibed. The minutes he gets in a league of high quality would have been less than easy to match elsewhere. Also, he has shown leadership by example in a struggling side.

not banter related, but does anybody know what's the latest news regarding the purchasing of the last few houses which is holding up the regeneration and the expansion of the stadium.
also has anybody heard any rumours regarding a possible start date for works to the stadium.
thanks guys.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There won't be a start date until planning is agreed - perhaps next summer at the earliest.}

04 Dec 2013 17:00:03
Between design, permits, bidding, addenda and so forth, spring even seems to be too soon.

Work below the ground will take a huge chunk of time as will demolition, building access routes, while still allowing as much of the surrounding neighborhood to be as accessible to local traffic as possible.

Above ground work would probably be 2015 earliest, based on what I imagine the process for construction would be like in England.

Agree0 Disagree0

BBC3 comedy show "The Revolution Will Be Televised" had a dig at LFC on their most recent programme about how LFC had been buying up all the houses and dragging the price down of those who wouldn't accept the offers. Eds and Reds do any of you know if this is harsh or a fair point?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There are houses that they are unable to complete a deal on.}

Compulsory purchase is being lined up on those last ones ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That might be fun in court.}

Is there a possibility that an expansion may have to be abandoned because of these ongoing issues?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no, the club have made the decision to push on with it and it will only be abandoned if the club lose in court regarding the compulsory purchase orders. Which is unlikely to happen as the streets will end up derelict if those last few houses are not sold.}

The club wan't lose the compulsory purchase orders. I can't wait for the new improved anfield

Here's one for you guys, we are hoping for top four this season so with our current squad which players would get into any of the following teams, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd?
I feel Suarez, maybe astride and maybe Mignolet

Then how many would get into the Everton team or the Spurs team?.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Depends which team really, think only saurez and maybe mign would get into city's team. But as for the rest saurez and sturridge would get into any, coutinho into Man U's maybe Chelsea and agger would prob get into arsenals and maybe the other two. Think a lot of ours would get into spurs (sturridge, saurez, coutinho, agger, and johnson, he isn't great but really don't rate walker).

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have thought any of our four center backs would get in the United side, as you say Suarez would get in to most sides in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was thinking this last after arguing with an arsenal fan. on good form gerrard, lucas, johnson, suarez, coitinhio, sturridge, agger and mingolet would all b in with a shout. that's why I belive our fully fit starting 11 is as good with anyone in the league. where were really short is right wing. aspas, henderson, sterling, moses and ibe aren't good enough or not ready

Agree0 Disagree0

Your completely ignoring team work or how well certain teams have gelled together and the understanding between other teammates games. That's more important than individuals, that's perhaps why arsenal and Liverpool are doing so well this year because the teams have been more stable than say Chelsea and Man City who should be running away with it the players they have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez in all of them.
Agger probably in all of them except City. Chelsea debateable.
Coutinho for United and Everton.
Sturridge probably all of them as well (unless he and Suarez were to both hypothetically go), perhaps not Arsenal.
Lucas would walk into United's team and possibly Arsenal's.
Mignolet probably Arsenal, City, maybe United, Definitely Everton. Not Chelsea, not Spurs.

No one else would be anywhere near sadly.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I second that. I've been hoping for the lad to be given a chance for some time now. I still think he'll be on the bench today though.

I'd also like to see Ibe given a chance. I know he's young with a lot to learn but Moses and Sterling haven't dazzled yet.

Not a rumour but more a suggestion. Having watched him tear us apart in the derby should Rodgers not be breaking the bank to try and sign Ross Barkley as he looks a genuine ready made replacement for Gerrard, tackles well usese the ball well and has a wonderful shot on him with either foot.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - never going to happen.}

Tear us apart in the derby? Erm.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tore us apart? Did U watch the game or read press clippings. Barkley had one shots at goal, no assists and got booked for diving and won a couple of free-kicks by slumping on minimal contact. If that means he tore us apart then I suggest you start watching games and drawing YOUR own conclusions instead of drawing them from someelse`s match reports.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure I believe the hype about him just yet. Obviously huge potential but that's about it for me. His breakthrough reminds me of sterlings. He could stagnate just as sterling seems to have done.

Just curious on something - you've mentioned that a club can only have 2 loan signings at any one time (unless of goalkeeping emergency loans or having a player on a loan-to-buy-scheme), so in which case how come Everton were able to sign Barry, Lukaku and Deulofeu on loan in the last window? Is Barry on a loan-to-buy? Or is it something to do with Deulofeu being an U-21 player?

Cheers!

{Ed002's Note - It is to do with caveats in Deulofeu's contract that provide options at the end of the season and a bunch of stuff about money. It is complex I am told and tied to game time. Nothing is expected to come of it.}

Ahhhh ok, that makes a bit more sense - cheers Ed!

For me gerrard is the main culprit in our midfield defensively. Teams have a go on us through the centre knowing that one positional mistake from gerrard and they are right through on cbs.this happened a lot in derby and mediocre hull.Lucas for me does his job really well and protects gerrard on many occasions and even Henderson gets drifted from his positions a lot.Another huge concern for me is form of Sterling in 2013 . I mean what has happened to the lad.He has been very poor, last year he was taking on defenders, putting crosses and playing passes to Suarez but now he seems lost. Wonder what confidence does to players!

henderson and lucas sitting in midfield gerrard pushing on when he gets the chance to link midfield and attack r send in them great balls from right wing that he does, i'm not sure players r happy the way they r being told to play under brendan, gerrard has most assists in the premiership at the moment from midfield so its hard to criticize him too much but imo he needs to be going into the oppositions box more than he is we r missing his creativity imo.

Tommy:
Exactly, in the position gerrard is currently playing he seems unsure when to defend and when to go forward. When playing a bit deep its his instinct to go forward and does not have the engine to keep up with the pace of the game. I wonder why does'nt BR try him further forward with less defensive pressure and especially when sturridge is out.The only reason may be he wants to use gerrard for 3-4 years in DLP and is making his positional transition.

Hi Eds,
I don't for 1 second believe that this would ever happen, however. Would you consider Ravel Morrison to be a good addition to the Liverpool squad. I think he could slot in right now, He wouldn't be likely to be too expensive would he.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't see it happening so it is not really something I can comment on. Sorry.}

I agree with you ravel has the talent and will only get better.
and if we can not lure a player away from westham we are in serious trouble.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - brilliant talent but he is far too busy playing gangsta with his mates in Manchester to make the most of it. I would steer well clear until he grows up, a lot.}

I agree with you ed I read about his past, but his price will only go up and someone will take the chance to buy him.
might aswell be us.
shaw-barkley and ravel are the only youngsters I see that have a real chance to be stars.
we already have 2 ibe and rossiter.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool do not want to be taking chances on players like Morrison at this time - and I don't see any chance of him moving to Liverpool in January.}

Morrison way too risky, Barkley and Shaw never going to happen.

I never even saw you replied to this till now ed02. Many thanks.

Anyone else annoyed with the way our loan deals worked out for example moses or suso I would rather suso this season
Cissokio or Robinson I would rather Robinson especially when you see everton with lukaku and that young gun delfonue (spelling)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

People were complaining about how we needed players for now and not for the future. Suso and Robinson were seen as ones for the future and Cissokho and Moses for now.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am disappointed with the decision to send Suso on loan, at this point I would love to see him getting in the LFC first team .

I have to console myself that first team football week in week out at his stage in his career could do him the power of good .

I hope Brendan Rodger's isn't thinking about letting him leave permanently at the end of the season, that would be a mistake I'm sure .

Robinson and Suso are for the future. But Cisshokho and Moses for now?,, the most important year for us to get back to CL,
Goodness me, We argubly have the worst recoed for Loan deals starting from Sahin and ending upto Moses.

They are getting more game time away than they ever would have here this season. Suso in particular needed a run of games.

Appreciate that they will return better for having gone on loan than had they been given the odd game here.

This shouldn't need explaining.

Agree0 Disagree0

Logic has it spot on.
Posters are only begging for suso to come back because his loan has done him the world of good and he's starting to shine and look like he will be a good player for us. This was the purpose of his loan because he was struggling to make enough of an impact while he was here. I would rather have Moses here and suso on loan if it means suso can fulfill his massive potential and come back the real deal rather than just fade away.

Agree0 Disagree0

My point was why loan them out to replace them with worse players making the squad weaker Either get better players on loan or keep the other's

Agree0 Disagree0

Brendan obviously thought cissokho and Moses would be good short term options that would be more consistent than say suso. Due to being older and more experienced. I doubt he decided to bring them in because they are worse players. If suso was still here would he be making more of an impact than Moses? Maybe but I doubt it. Obviously suso will end up the better player but that's only because he is away and getting game time and not getting held back by a few mins here and there at Liverpool.

BR is asking for Aspas and Alberto to chip in with some goals- that might happen if he played the poor beggars.

It's quite simple - tonight's game is a must -win, and Rodgers has to think carefully about who he's going to name for the game. I hope he goes for Aspas (if he's fit) and Suarez upfront with Coutinho in support, or Suarez upfront supported by Coutinho and Alberto

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is exactly what I was thinking - I'd like to see a 4-3-2-1 personally, with Coutinho and Alberto behind I think to still keep the dominance in midfield. Personally I wonder if Lucas needs a break but at the same time he's the best DM we have and this is exactly the sort of game that we need a confidence-boosting clean sheet in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd go with either of your suggestions. I'd also like to see Aspas played as the main striker with Suarez on the left side.

We need to score some goals tonight, Winning is a must but a convincing win.
I would have just 2 midfielders with Lucas and Hendo/Allen and then countinho suarez and alberto behind Aspas.

Agree0 Disagree0

At some point, those Aspas (who I think will be a good player) and Alberto ( looks tidy) need games to prove themselves. Playing them sporadically will not help them settle. Play them so they can show their worth.

do not understand why Liverpool fc not change . we need a new strategy . we have brought players techniques. to create scoring chances. have brought South American players. must be a team with technical skills. first team to understand that football has changed today is man city. created a technical team that creates many scoring opportunities. other teams is based only on strength and speed . is not enough in today

got a quick question for anybody that might know the answer, a friend ordered a ticket for the Norwich game this morning, something major has come up and now he has to finish his trip to Liverpool early and will miss the game. On the website it says refunds have to be made at least 14 days before the game but he only bought his ticket yesterday. would he be able to get a refund?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ill buy them. if you visit www.diversefc.co.uk and use the contact page, ill get and email. I don't think ed will let me put an email or my fb so yeah. i'd definitely buy them :)

Agree0 Disagree0

It's only the one ticket Benny it's in the centinery stand. Is that ok?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ashy,

how can I get refunds on my tickets. I have two tkts to Liverpool - Hull game on 2nd January but now I can't make it. So how can I get the refund.

Besides, I would love to sell them to anyone but I am not sure how will they enter the stadium if they don't have my membership card. Any solution will be helpful.

Agree0 Disagree0

And yeah, the tickets are at the KOP

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi mgz,

I'm not quite sure how the refund system works mate, I had a quick look on the LFC site and all it says is it must be done no longer than 14 days before the match. I assume you would have to contact the ticket office. I would of bought the tickets from you myself but I'm busy that date too, sorry I couldn't help more mate. If my friend does get a refund I will let you know how he did it.

Mgz, how much would you be willing to part with the tickets for? I would love to sit in the Kop. Only ever been to one LFC game and that was a Friendly against Leverkusen. I am free that date as well!
