Use our rumours form to send us liverpool transfer rumours.

So by the sounds of things it's quite possible that B.R is gone next week which makes sense allowing for the 2 weeks International Slot But only if FSG has a Manager ready to step in as I for 1 really don't want a caretaker manager in.
So do we agree it's most likely down to 3 Managers !! ANCELOTTI,
KLOPP and lastly DeBoer and if so what would your order Be ?
Personally I like all 3 and each has their own advantages and disadvantages but for me my section would have to be the manager who can get the best out of our current team as the squad we have in my eyes should be able to compete for a top 3 position atleast.
DeBoer is young and played at the highest level and has plenty of repect and could certainly sort our my main area of concern and that's our awful Defending but what about attracting future players to our club ? ANCELOTTI the oldest and the most experienced of the managers and been around teams that have had plenty of talent and would he still be capable of sorting out this type of mess and work most likely on a lot less of a transfer budget then he's used to ?
Klopp again young and done very well in Germany but how would he cope with the Premiership way of playing but can and would certainly be able to work on the amount of money that would be available for future transfers and I expect could attract many top players who play in the German league and is very cool headed and again feel could sort out our defence.
So everyone who's your choice and why select him over the others .
So my top 3 are KLOPP, ANCELOTTI, DEBOER. But any of these 3 would be vastly better then BR who I now feel has lost the Changing Room and theirs no coming back from that !!

I think that the priority for the club is to stabilise things and in this regard, I believe that Ancelotti is the least risky option. He knows the Premier League, has worked with some of the world's best players, has been successful everywhere that he has been and perhaps, most importantly, has the proved that he has the flexibility to adapt, both in terms of tactics but also when working with different styles of club ownership.

Klopp would be my second choice, primarily because he will likely need time to bed in, whereas I believe that Ancelotti would hit the ground running, due to his past experience of the Premier League, as well as his better overall experience. Liverpool cannot really afford to fall any further and on an occasion such as this, an old, proven head is likely to be the most intelligent choice, imho.

If Ancelotti is genuinely interested in the job, then we should feel genuinely honoured and be biting his hand off.

What do you think guys? Chelsea should get the Irish Guardiola from Liverpool.

Ok so it looks as though we will have a new manager soon probably a good thing as whatever you think of BR confidence has been lost in all quarters, but a question for the Ed's, is there any indication the club (I.e those running it) are recognising the mistakes they have made and any new manager will be part of a bigger re think?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have explained a lot of things have changed at the club.}

Chelsea's worst start in 37 years, and considering if they win their next game they could go above us, it doesn't look great for us.

As bad as it is for Liverpool, it makes Liverpool's position and form a tad easier to take.

Judge Chelsea at your peril, especially in the most overated inconsistent league in the world.

Agree11 Disagree2

03 Oct 2015 22:25:39
DaveyBootle, I agree generally. They won the league and now seem to have imploded! With the EC controversy hanging over him and the club too, they are in trouble.
Both them and us can recover being so early in the league, Mour can do it for Chelsea, but BR can't for us in my opinion. We need a change as this is a repeat of last seasons disappointment.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 22:59:06
IMO, Chelsea did win the PL but part of that was due to the other challengers imploding and being inconsistent along with the lesser teams not doing enuff to go at them. Now not only is City ready for the challenge, teams aren't scared of them anymore regardless of where they play them. Add their defensive woes off field issues, the Eva saga and the lot, all you have is a total disaster. The Saints just took advantage of the mistakes we all knew would happen and the defeat was logical. On another note, Saidio Mane, what a player!

Ha ha Reet. . but, seriously?
Could he be our "special one" despite his obvious breakdown ?
He'd love to take over at Liverpool because;
a) We've got far better fans (own flags etc.)
b) All-male medical team
c) Higher up the League (as of 5pm today).

03 Oct 2015 19:55:09

Red Since 64 i don't think everyone love Mourinho or hate BR. Chelsea fans love Mourinho because of his achievments, Liverpool fans can't stand BR because of how poor the team has become under his management. The media like Mourinho because he is a very colourful guy who give them a lot of material but I don't think the media dislike BR. The criticism about his press conferences come mainly from fans.

Agree5 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 21:18:39
How can you argue with Kate Bush?

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 21:47:28
Red64, you seem to think people hate BR or Mou for some reason which makes no sense. because I can't stand someone doesn't mean I hate him. Hatred is too strong a word to be used for something as trivial as football. As for BR and Mou, Mou has taken responsibility for the dreadful state of affairs in Chelsea. Let me know when your BFF BR finally takes responsibility for dragging our club to midtable and talking crap every chance he gets hence, dragging our name in the mud. Better hurry up because based on reports, he's getting the chop on Monday morning.

Agree4 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 22:14:35
Why sack the best?

Chelsea have a couple of problems which will eventually iron themselves out.

1) - The aged legs of their Captain (which the manager was aware of and attempted to replace him with Stones)

2) - The sensationalist and over-the-top reaction to the verbals to a doctor on the touchline which appear to have affected the squad or there belief in their manager.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 22:27:06
It's getting so bad now I think I'd rather have Ted Rodgers and Dusty Bin in charge.

We used to be a proud club that won things :(.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 23:03:05
Davey, their probs go way beyond your valid points. They lack confidence, some of their players are either off form or aren't too bothered to even try (Cesc is a good example) and teams aren't scared of them anymore. If teams aren't scared of you and you're off form, it's like sharks smelling blood in the water.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 23:03:25
@daveybootle agree with your first post but the issue with doc is no way over the top. Mourinho publicly humiliated her to the media by calling her niaive with no understanding of football and then had the arrogance effectively fire her for doing her job when video evidence has proven the ref called her on to the pitch. If anything it's been disgracefully brushed under the carpet. I wish her all the best in her civil case against Chelsea and hope she takes them for a fortune

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 23:10:42

Hey eds I have been curious about the whole process of a club parting company with a manager/coach? Is there any type of blueprints to follow or is each case different? For instance when Liverpool have let go of managers in the past, have they all been similarly done? Obviously we only hear the official words from the clubs when a manager has left, but when a club is thinking of getting rid, would they be in contact with the manager? or could it be just they get called into the office one day and then given their p45? If it is a stupid question I apologize, just the whole process fascinates me, if it is the same as regular jobs or if it is way more complicated as i would assume it is. Thanks eds, we appreciate the hard work you all do to keep us informed.

Hi ed. You say Liverpool did not talk to Klopp last week. Without revealing sources can you be certain. I mean it should all be very secretive as BR is still in place. right?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There were certainly no meetings between him and Liverpool whilst he was in England this week. Liverpool has not at this time made any approach to Klopp.}

03 Oct 2015 16:52:45
So from reading most recent posts it's probably fair to say the majority would prefer AC to take over if/when BR is given the boot. My question to those who do would be how long do you think he would stick around for? Say for instance he is a success and within three years we are a genuine top 4 team that can challenge for the title. Do you reckon he would stick around for the long haul and continue until we won the league or pass it on to someone else? I raise this point as AC is not a young manager and as pointed out been around the block so could easily leave for another challenge. Just interested in people's thoughts

Believable0 Unbelievable1

03 Oct 2015 17:02:23
I think if he does come in them i cam see him doinga job similar to lvgs at United (hopefully with a better style of football) and then leave perhaps three years down the line with a younger manager taking over.the

Alan Curbishly?

Agree6 Disagree6

03 Oct 2015 17:22:10
AC? Alan Curbishley? I'd be more worried about him not being in the game for the last 7 years, tbh.

I assume you mean Carlo Ancelotti, unless there's pages of discussing another guy that I've missed. Ancelotti is 56, that's hardly ancient.

It'll be down to whether the Liverpool job continues to interest him and if a job he'd prefer comes around or not. That's an issue with a manager regardless of age (unless he's pushing 70 and there isn't any other interest because of that). Let's say we got Klopp, and he has us challenging for the title in three years, and that's deemed within the world of football to be a good level of performance. He's surely just as likely to have attractive offers as Ancelotti would in that situation? It's down to the club to keep them interested. And that mightn't always be possible.

Of course, if you want a guy who won't ever leave Liverpool unless he's pushed, then we can get Kenny back in as caretaker until the end of the season and then see is Rafa available in the summer.

Agree1 Disagree5

03 Oct 2015 17:46:32
CA would be a good manager IMO, however, I can't help thinking (maybe wrongly) that we need a manager who is exciting and will show some passion on the touchline. Someone like Klopp for instance (even if he isn't free currently or wanted). I just don't see CA as the ideal fit although far better than BR

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 18:07:00

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Oct 2015 18:30:11
Ha yeah sorry got the abbreviation the wrong way around! All good points plus thinking about it even if decided to go the other way with a younger long term coach and that coach becomes successful there's the likelihood of teams like Real Madrid nicking him whereas Carlo has already been there and done it. The only thing I can think of that he hasn't had a go at is international management.

Also guess the era of managers staying with clubs for more than 5 years is gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 18:35:59

For all mourinhos obvious ability as a manager I still wouldn't want him. Too much history of him being a tw*t during the Benitez era. The guy is the most arrogant, egotistical kn*b with no class. Plus if you listen to his post match press conferences he passes the buck even more than BR, it's always someone else's fault and they should have always been given a penalty etc etc

First post in weeks as I've just started my first "grown up" job.

Eds. if LFC and Rodgers were to part ways in the coming weeks, do you think a "manager" will be brought in for the rest of the season? Or would O'Driscoll take charge of coaching and FSG appoint someone as an interim DoF or consultant?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't know of any plans for Liverpool to bring in any interim manager. The experience with the last Director of Football at Liverpool was not a good one - I don't see that helping now. I am not sure what a "consultant" would be tasked with.}

Ed2, still think it's next to no chance that Klop comes in because reports suggest owners are reconsidering?
Must say that I can't think of anyone more suited to how they want to run the club so I'd be very surprised if he wasn't spoken to at least given how much he's been talking about a PL move and so on

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - If Liverpool has any interest in Klopp they should approach his agent - to date they have not done so. Perhaps the club should have spoken to him when he was in England earlier in the week.}

03 Oct 2015 15:25:13
I would love Carlo as he has been there and done it. i think the owners should not let money stop it,by saying this I mean go for someone like fdb as he would be cheaper. i think if ancellotti would hypothetically cost more so be it because I think with him in charge the club would stand a better chance of being in and around the top four so would likely earn more money in the long run. just my opinion

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 12:27:35
Tomorrow we will go into a game with no born and bread and with Everton having a few it will give them that extra bit bite. Would noone else give rossiter a shot after his fine performance midweek just feel u need local lads in the team on games like this to lift the team. Only my opinion

03 Oct 2015 14:14:26
Local element operated? Got to disagree with that. That's why Utd had so much success. There recent success was built on local talent who as youngsters, picked the club up off the floor. That's why Liverpool will continue to slide.

Agree0 Disagree3

03 Oct 2015 15:04:03
What local talent have Utd had in the last 20 years that have "made it"?

Agree2 Disagree2

03 Oct 2015 15:04:37
Should we bring spearing back to give us that extra bite?? It's nice to have a local lad in the team but it's a 'nice to' not a 'must have'. They are professional footballers and should want to win regardless. We have enough players with derby experiences to know what these type of games are about. At the end of the day we can have as many talented local lads playing in the team but it won't make a blind bit of difference if they guy giving them the direction on the pitch downstairs have a clue what he's doing.

How many Local Mancheter lads did City have today? Didn't harm them in any way. BTW I wonder what this game will do to Sterling's position there. They looked pretty average when he was playing and once substituted they started to score like crazy.

I was actually about to take Aguero off from my fantazy team or at least take the captiancy of him but decided to give him another week - smart move :)

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 20:39:39
I agree fanobip, unfortunately Rossiter is not good enough, I don't think he had a fine performance in midweek neither. As soon as I saw the two centre kids I knew we had no one to pick a pass and we would struggle with creating.

While game I can only recall 1 long range pass from Rossiter (1st half left to right to right to a lune I think) and 1 defence splitting pass from Allen to Origi, apart from that the pair of them played shirt sideway passes , that's why Rossiters stats may have looked good.

someone listed his stats including passes, tackles won, interceptions and headers but failed to list tackles lost and headers lost which there were a few. I would love him to be good enough as a scouser but I'm afraid he isn't.

I have my fingers crossed and said after Sion game BR's position must be untenable, so glad to read Macca's post.
Macca did say this may differ in timing and overall outcome, but I am hoping he heard correctly.
We have 2 managers heavily linked by unreliable press, and another FDB just popped in the frame. Maybe from previous rumours a while back. Any of these are better than BR in my opinion.
Most on here are right, whoever it is let's give them time to know the team and apply their ways.
I hope for CA as I think he is a proven winner, brings stability for the fans and players, dignified, and a clever football brain. Klopp second for his football style and passion to win rubs off on players and fans.
FDB is young and unproven, but doing well enough. Just my thoughts. He is promising and would still be an improvement.
Exciting times ahead. Possibly!!

I just don't want another young manager who is branded 'exciting' and 'talented' and having to listen to any more of this 'philosophy' crap.

I feel klopp and de boer would just be bringing this in again, it wouldn't be a stark enough of a change.

Whereas i feel ancelotti would come in and give us a kick up he backside, ditch all this crap about talking a good game and just get sh*t done.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Oct 2015 15:14:53
Partly agree with you woolback, I think ancelotti would be a great short term fix but it's obvious we are rebuilding yet again. That being the case i'd rather rebuild with a long term manager that wants to lay foundations for the future and build a footballing philosophy and progression plan. Ajax system has worked brilliantly for years and fdb has given ops to many youth players. Not sure on klopps record doing the same but he certainly built a great team.

Agree1 Disagree1

03 Oct 2015 17:50:48
NO, for me Klopp number one and you can't say he is an unproven young manager but a youngish proven manager who is exciting and works wonders with teams. CA also would be more than welcome in my eyes too but for me a second choice, even though Klopp I think is not coming regardless

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 10:55:56
Sorry to say but since yesterday ed02 has been proven correct about liverpool fans. We spend the past year trying to get rid of Brenda and as soon as macca delivers some positive news all we get is negativity about potential replacements makes me sick. Here's an idea if and when the change is made how about giving the new man a fair chance and get behind him. The club needs some positivity right now. And if it is de boer he's a serial winner albeit in a weaker league but before he was appointed koeman jol van basten and ten cate all failed to win the league with ajax. Not saying it will or should be him but seriously how many times have the eds said ancelloti and klopp are not viable options. Let's stop living in the past we haven't been seen as an attractive club since ragas exploits in Europe. We need to earn the right to get back there it ain't just going to happen

Believable20 Unbelievable8

03 Oct 2015 11:10:41
It's no different than when we are linked with a player, fans write them off before they've even signed or pulled the shirt on.
I do hope that if/when change is made that Carlo or Klopp come in, but whoever it is they should be given full support.

If FDB is the man does this mean that a DoF is also to be appointed? If so I wonder who's in frame for that?

Agree6 Disagree1

03 Oct 2015 11:11:41
I think that's a tad unfair. Where the fans wrong 4 seasons ago when the questioned Rodgers appointment with his dossier? The fans still supported him but eventually it becomes clear that they were right. Heres a novel idea that works at most successful clubs. Hire the right man and sign the correct players then i can guarantee you that you will have a hell of a lot less fans bitching. After all with the money invested its to be expected! Right?

After the failed experiment of an improven manager would FSG consider
CA - director of football
JK - head coach
FDR - assistant first team coach
Pulis - defence coach
lijinders - youth development/transition

Would this dream team guarantee the elusive Premiership title and make the fans happy ?

Or keep spending silly amounts in the transfer market

Irish, I'm not saying fans were wrong, they have been proved correct. Many fans did support BR but many didn't and again the doubters have been proved 100% correct.

Most fans want Klopp, some are saying they don't want Carlo, don't want FDB etc so I'm guessing some fans will be disappointed if their choice doesn't take over.

Many fans were against us signing two of our current best players- Sturridge, Coutinio (amongst the obvious failures).

Rodgers was a divisive choice & following shortly after another divisive choice of Hodgson I do hope we get that quality manager we all want. it's only a shame that it's coming after Rodgers has blown £300 million & has taken us nowhere

The thing is this is how all fans are regardless of who you support.

If say Chelsea had a lesser known manager than mourinho at present then I'm sure they'd be calling for his head , but because they have a proven manager they believe it will turn around.

Upto Xmas last year van gaal had similar stats to moyes yet no one was calling him out because again he's a proven manager.

Obviously, like most posters i think Rodgers is a dead man walking but what i will say is that i don't want to be in the same situation in 2 seasons. Is FDB the right man IF he does come in? I have my doubts if i'm honest. I just want to have some stability! Only then we will see an improvement in performances. Here"s hoping.

Well, first off, is is miles ahead of BR in manmanagement and coaching wich is what's important.
Doesnt he work under a DOF, so acctually the appoinent of the correct DOF is even more important?

{Ed002's Note - FDB won't be available until the summer.}

Totally agree with you Irish , IF (big if) Brendan is given his marching orders, then I hope FSG have learnt the lessons and hire an experienced highly regarded manager and none of this up and coming bright young thing that we have to wait for them to learn . For me , its either a big experienced name who is ready now, or stick with Rodgers until we get such manager.
I know many will disagree , because you want a change for the sake of change. FDB might turn out to be a very good manager, but its a risk; winning the Eredivisie is not that much to boast about even if its 4 times, its Ajax , they like the Bayern of Holland, no one close to compete with them, I would give McClaren more credit for winning it with a small club like Twente.

ED002 If that is the case, who do see possibly taking the job in the interim? Or do you believe FSG have someone else completely in mind?

Regardless of who comes in, let's just hope they can tactically get things right. We're crying out for 4 at the back and in some manor width. Hypothetical question if anyone fancies it, what would you do tactically? I'd kinda set up 442 with coutinho and milner on each wing, can and Henderson through the middle, sturridge and benteke up top, moreno sakho clyne Gomez back 4 with bogdan in goal.
Come Jan I'd be rid of skrtel or lovren, toure, enrique, allen, llallana or firminho and mignolet.
I'd recall Ilori and markovich, prioritise a new goalkeeper, centre back, creative or defensive midfielder and a top class left sided winger. Then just go all out for top 4 which is still massively achievable

Anything that has a strike partnership and coutinho behind. Probably easiest with a diamond (Eg. lucas, hendo, milner, couts.) and then Sturridge up top with one of Ings, Benteke (good player, still don't know if they'll strike up a partnership) or i'd be quite interested to see how a Sturridge-Firmino strike duo looks.

Moreno, Clyne, Sakho and i hope whoever comes in can breathe new life into Lovren's career because his head is mince but he was a good defender and probably would be again for another team.

I was going to agree with this until I saw get rid of firmino

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Oct 2015 13:07:54
Not because he's poor, more unnecessary if you also had lallana and coutinho on the books.
I won't disagree that a diamond formation works, but a player like Benteke thrives of crosses. If the full backs are providing said crosses then great, but from what I've seen thus far (at the ground) this isn't happening and we're screaming for width beyond the full backs.
My favourite formation by a country mile in 4231 but with sturridge and benteke playing it would be very difficult to accommodate. However I'd love to be proved wrong as I always would if it brought success

Soap be is getting shown the door hopefully yet we are seeing discontent with the likes of de boer coming in why? Should we not welcome the change we all want? Br was gifted 3 years and some fans still want him to stay even though he's destroyed the club so why slate someone who's not even taken over yet, why does everyone think Koop would be any better yes he did well in Dortmund but again that's a different league altogether too so how can we base it on he did well once in the champ league we have shown no interest in him so why blame de boer for this let's support the change whoever comes in deserves a chance!

I think fans want the likes of Ancelloti because of the quality of the players he can attract.
I am of the opinion, that no matter WHO the manager is, we will still struggle with recruitment without the draw of regular CL.

Well, if Macca says Rodgers is going then I will believe it.

Must say, honestly thought that once Benteke and Sturridge were both fit we would be ok.

Always liked Klopp and i'm sure an Ed mentioned that he is in the country after already turning down 4 jobs, correct me if I am wrong.

Klopp is more likely to be able to convince the bigger names to come in, his name has more weight, if it is to be him.

I do feel sorry for Brendan in some respects, he is totally out of his depth transfer wise but I think he has shown that his style of play is effective when he has good fit players. I have hated watching the way certain players have been treated, and maybe Rodgers fell lucky having 1 of the 3 best players in the world in his team for 18 months with Suarez.

Despite our struggles, if we do see that lasting wave to the fans after the derby, we must show our respect to a man who has served our club.

Ed correct me if I'm wrong but before Rodgers took over I remember you saying you wanted de boer and rated him, has your opinion changed and if so why? He wouldn't be my first choice but if be brought some of those kids from Ajax with him I'd be happy. Riedewald is one that stands out for me

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I would rather have had him than Rodgers, as he at least had a track record of winning trophies. He is still not my first choice, but is better than what we have. My issue is he has never had to show any kind of tactical flexibility with Ajax. We have no idea if he is going to be able to adjust.}

03 Oct 2015 10:19:23
Would prefer Ancelotii out of all the options available. Barca will be making an offer for Coutinho next summer according to Ed002, so we need someone who have achieved everything in the game and commands the respect to convince our best players to stay at the club an sign even better ones. Klopp could not stop lewandowski and Goetze from leaving Dortmund so i would go for Ancelotti who imo fits the profile that LFC need at this moment of time the best.

If we were likely to get Carlo or such like we would of had similar instead of Rodgers, fsg won't go with someone with too much power etc

They will want another yes man as they want to remain in charge, while you have to be thankful for what fsg have done I don't believe much has changed in footballing terms since they arrived.

Yes Rodgers is massively underachieving, but have fsg really got the ambition to be fighting for titles and champions league? And is it really possible with them in charge? Can they compete with City? Utd? Chelsea? And even those 3 teams can't compete in Europe!

Just my thoughts.

{Ed001's Note - if it is not to be Ancelotti or Klopp, or possibly Emery, I would go for Pako Ayesteran. It must be said that De Boer would be an improvement on Rodgers, and so I would not be unhappy if he came in.}

03 Oct 2015 14:26:09
I would do a cartwheel if we could get emery, but agree any of the others you suggest ed would be a huge upgrade on brendan.

Still not 100% sure on fdb and i would love pako but can't see fsg take a gamble on him.

Hi all,

Just wanted to have my say on the Rodgers saga.

I would love klopp to be the next manager first and for most but for some reason I can't see it happening. The next in the list would be Carlo but why would we get someone like him for the short term? And in another 3 or so years we would need another young manager, therefore we will be in the same position (who's up the next manager). Another one to add to the list of FDB but do we really need that up and coming manager now?

I feel we need that proven manager who will stick with us for the long term, I just hope FSG appoint the right man for the job (klopp for me)

Rodgers only has himself to blame, he's spent a lot of money as we know and still plays people out of position! I could go on forever about the mess Rodgers has done but I will look at the positives which is we have a very strong sqaud and could easily make the top 4 and maybe push on even more, that's if we play the correct formation and the correct players in their preferred positions.

Sorry for the long message, I would like to thank Macca & the eds for the work you put into this site as we all know you take some stupid comments and crap from other fans.

Cheers
Manny

Whilst the thought that BR will soon be gone is a mouthwatering prospect I can't help but wonder about a state of affairs in which Macca's source knows that win, lose or draw, BR will be gone and BR doesn't.

Clearly that is a decision made by FSG in America with only Ian Ayre and Mike Gordon aware of it over here. Surely neither they nor the FSG hierarchy would casually let this information slip.

The other possibility is of course that BR is already aware and he remains at the helm until FSG appoint a successor who they will surely already have had discussions with.

Neither alternatives sound plausible to me.

Fingers crossed that we are not building up our hopes only to be disappointed.

Given how the Club has been completely bypassed in the last decade in our own league and has become an also ran in European terms across the board you'd have to think that the next managerial appointment is the most important to the Club in living memory. If the next incumbent doesn't get it right we will become a club fighting for 5th/6th to 8th/9th annually and eventually potentially slip beyond even that as the gap to the top 4/5 clubs widens year on year.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

03 Oct 2015 04:34:45
I agree, if it's a weak manager next time, it's just going to get harder and harder to rely on history to attract top talent.

We need to go for a top global manager this time like Klopp, Ancelotti. Relative to what you pay the players it's worth it and a good manager will add more value to the clubs franchise and in terms of developing young players into stars than anything else. Just look at what Mourinho has done for almost any side he's coached.

Take risks on players, but not the manager IMO, there's only one of them and you can't change quickly like you can a player that turns out to be weaker than expected.
