Course i can counsel you Blair, first thing i suggest is support a decent football team as the stress of supporting a once mighty but now dead football force is too much for you, keep on the smoke, take less Valium as delusional rantings by you i.e Hiddink, Pellegrini etc etc. . . are too much. Why not support a proper football team. Manchester united. Leave you tonight Blair, best wishes sleep well. Bye.

Watched us motd2 and can thought ngog looked class. his hold up play was fantastic (chesting the ball down was excellent) and was the link between the midfield and torres. everyone slates his first touch but today his was better than gerrard and torres' combined. some of the passes he made was fantastic as well. he's always a willing runner and doesn't mind defending which he should be credited for more.

maybe playing him just off torres is much better rather than alongside him.

Mid table Liverpool, about the right level for your club, keep smoking the stuff Blair, as your great laugh, your club even with new owners are going nowhere, hardly any money to spend and celebrating victory over Bolton as if you won the premiership. Its a joke, pellegrini hiddink, van basten are all unattainable for your shambolic lot. Keep puffing away Blair as you will need an escape mechanism

I have to keep smoking the puff with Roy in charge it's so depressing. I'm also back on the valium and was off them as soon as we got rid of H&G.

Make good use of your banter mate i fear i won't be here to long as i said earlier "i'm going to hang myself IF Roy stays in charge".

Maybe you can help me through it?

In my opinion my beloved LFC are being groomed into a breeding ground for Sky Sports Babies, i.e. Manure, Chelski, Moon City and The Emirates Club. If we don't start playing our talented youngsters soon, they will get disheartened as benchwarmers, opening the door for these clubs to swoop. Roy, give them a chance at least, or are you just trying to keep your friends happy?

Dont think lfc should buy for the sake of buying in jan.would like to see the youngsters like pacheco and shelvey get more chances.its been far too long since we have brought youngsters through and these two have a lot of quality.also think that stevie gee is wasted when not in the middle.poor performance today but 3 points is 3 points cmon the pool ynwa

Don't really give a s* t if Johnson is gay or not, just would like to see him playing on the right wing for us where I think will be his best position in front of Kelly. As for Kelly what has he done wrong?
Aroc

Johnson gay? Where did you hear that from?

It's all balls. Remember the rumours last April abt Stevie and this 16 yr old and super-injunctions, all the eejits at our work were took in, it was all gonna come out that weekend etc. Just some fuking scummer bawlix. Makes them feel better abt granny-f*cker fuking thir club

There is a lot of roy bashing going on and to be fair to roy he has inherited a bunch of players who don't seem interested, are disjointed and some of them not good enough. Over the last couple of matches there are definate improvments. I do agree he should step down but whilst he is in charge we should do the Liverpool thing and back him. And when he gets the boot wish him well and offer thanks for taking on a horrible job.

31 Oct 2010 22:25:58

We want rafa back, worst decision of the liverpool board, BRING RAFA BACK, BRING RAFA BACK

31 Oct 2010 22:24:28

To ed, what is ur opinion about roy tactics for liverpool? is it possible liverpool will qualify for champion league next season? i'm very not confident with him. {ed's note - his tactics are terrible, play deep, fill in spaces and try not to concede. It is not at all what I expected, I thought he would have the sense to realise that not losing is not good enough.}

Roy needs to be replaced ASAP
on the bench today he looked lost and confused and out of depth, he played gerrard in the wrong position, left torres by him self upfront again and then has the nerve to let poulson on the pitch before shelvey as for konchesky(whos idea was it to sighn him)? ?? ?? and i keep hearing roy wants carlton cole! !?? ?

To blair , keep smoking the whacky , mid table and celebrating, yippee eh , hiddink pelligrni my a. hole, youll struggle v anyone decentand are a club on a par with villa, everton, bolton , etc etc, did gerrard kiss the badge today , a joke.

Have no "whacky" left. But it looks like you have plenty.

You're 100% about mid-table. IF Roy stays then that's excatly were we'll be mid-table.

I might get a lot of stick for this, but i'm putting my neck on the line for a certain david n'gog tonight. when he came on, he looked twice the player he was last year. the team just looked better when he came on. Even in the last few minutes, he was holding up the ball as good as anyone i've seen this year. this lad is 21, i think we seem to forget that most of us had hardly, if at all, moved away from our parents by this age! If we work with this lad, he'll be brilliant. .anyone remember his performance against birmingham last year, minus the dive (just a sign of his fledgling experience)? Keep this lad, maybe loan him out if we sign someone with the option to call him back in an emergency. He's growing, and so is lucas-one of our top three players today

31 Oct 2010 21:49:45

If you were all true LFC Supporters you would show a bit more repsect for Roy, he is one of the best managers England have got. Hes gunna need more time to change the club into a winning side.

31 Oct 2010 21:49:20
"Was it a coincidence that Torres looked a lot happier after Gerrard dropped deeper and he had some support with Ngog alongside him? And for people that criticise Ngog's first touch, I was watching closely today and it seemed fine to me. Let's not forget he is young and still learning, I think he deserves more credit than he gets."

Totally agree but fed up with us all becoming amateur psychologists (myself included) instead of football fans. Comes to something when we are more concerned about player's body language rather than their desire and will to win. Torres gave us his 'what am I doing here?' routine for an hour but was strangely invigorated when his so called back up joined him and offered proper support. Still doesn't look like Stevie 'laughing gas' and Carra have a had that straightener behind the Albert with the Spaniards I suggested a couple of weeks ago because we are still playing like strangers half of the time. Marty and Soto are commedably trying hard to forge a decent partnership at the back but I still want to see Kelly tried there in his natural position. I felt like crying last watching MOTD and the quality Calceido provided for Fulham while we signed the glomp he succeeded.
Point is though, it feels good again to have consecutive wins in the PL and a clean sheet. Never thought I'd ever say it but I would settle for 40 points and safety by the end of January if the trade off was seeing the likes of Kelly, Pacheco, Shelvey, Wilson and maybe a couple of the other kids given a fair crack for the remainder of the season.
That said, if we actually all pull together next Sunday and beat Chelsea (still possible), we could actually be on our way to being in the top 6 by the end of January because everyone's still taking points off each other but I reckon we could be a good bet for the FA Cup this season.
Sad to say and see, but the job seems too big for Woy, decent bloke that he is, but I can't see him emulating Joe Fagan in being the nicest man to win trophies for LFC.

Rumours about Johnson are utter rubbish, I'm mates with a friend of his and he's always been a ladies man

31 Oct 2010 21:43:06

Hey guys am happy with the victory today. A win is a win.
Can anyone tell me what the easiest way to get a ticket? I tried to get a ticket for the napoli game on the lfc site. But it said I did not qualify for a ticket?
Can anyone shed some light on this? Thank you

Re: "AN UNBELIEVABLY BAD ECONOMIC CRISIS IN TURKEY (WORSE THAN GREECE) WHEREBY THE TURKISH FA CANNOT AFFORD HIDDINK'S WAGES, WILL ALLOW HIS RELEASE BY MUTUAL CONSENT. HE WILL BECOME NEW MANAGER OF LIVERPOOL WITHIN 2 WEEKS"

My parents live in Turkey and they have not heard anything of an economic crisis, either current or looming!

I've never mentioned Hiddink. I did say i'd prefer Pelligrini or Riijkard to spend our money more than Roy.

So you MANC FOOL try and read the posts carefully then put my name to them. You mock Bolton but the mighty MAN'URE were lucky to come away with a draw.

Would anybody take Charlie Adam from BLackpool and put him in the LFC team?

31 Oct 2010 20:56:03
Some people have mentioned Charlie Adam as a signing . Can that player really be liverpool class? He is still only 24 years old , has 2 goals in 9 games this season , but surely we have to be looking at better than him?

What do you think ?

Was working today and unable to attend the game or even watch it on Sky. I had to listen to the game on the radio and would like to applaud the fans for absolutely SUPERB support. Anybody who didn't know better would have sworn that was a home game. Singing and support didn't stop from start to finish, Keep it up boys, you did the rest of us proud! !

31 Oct 2010 20:49:58

I think Andy Carrol should be bought young, english and will soon be playing for the national side.
he may have some issues but if he can control those them and keep the aggresive mentality on the field, he would be a very good buy.

in NESV plans would be a good buy due to young age and would have a re sale price
what do you think ed? {ed's note - not for me, he is not someone I would be pleased to see at the club, he makes Joey Barton seem like a nice guy.}

he would play with pride and passion unlike some lfc players.
i see lucas was back to his usual self today

31 Oct 2010 20:45:12

FACT -the greek is weak in defence but adds in attack. Should be a sub untill needed

FACT- Lucas is S* *T

FACT- Maxi although i never thought i would say it has been brill last few games

We should not turn our noses up a good players from crap clubs ( Blackpool's Adam) A.Young came from watford

We should play 4-4-2 we did so much better

31 Oct 2010 20:35:06
N'gog, he is improving no end, never going to be a world class 30+ a season hitman but give the lad credit where its due. Soto, gives us what Hyypia did, no nonsense defending and a threat at corners. Maxi Rodriguez, always has been a top quality player throughout his career, though he is the wrong side of 30, he does have moments of class, remember his goal in WC 2006 against Mexico?? However, there is still a LOT that needs addressing, most notably some genuine pace on the wings to hit teams on the counter.

31 Oct 2010 20:27:04
It was fortunate Joe Cole was forced to go off . Bringing on Ngog worked big time . The concern is , Roy Hodgson would never have changed from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 if it had not been forced . It is all to obvious how satisfied and content RH is not to lose a game , when an LFC manager ought to be enabling the team to win well

31 Oct 2010 20:09:03

To the Fans that Were at the Reebok Stadium for the match today! I think you guys deserve 'men' of the match. I kept checking to see if it was a home match or something :-O I think a BIG BIG thank you is in-order. So THANK YOU to all who were present at the match today. Lucas was bought as an Attacking Mid, who has been turned into a Defensive Mid. He's still 23, and i am starting to like him more and more since this season started, Well done mate. As for Ngog, he is playing like an experienced forward, great holding up of play and great control of the game, yet he's only 21. Lol i never thought i would ever say this in my life, but Maxi Rodriguez Get In There!

I am no Hodgson fan. Didn't want him in the first place. I was a massive Rafa fan and whilst it is very easy to start going "nah, nah, na, nah, nah told you so" but i cannot believe how poor we actually are at this present moment in time.

All i asked at the start of the season was to play some decent, attacking play with a smidgen of flair because under Rafa last season we went very, very boring. I did not expect for Hodgson to climb into a Rafa suit and try to produce a team with a carbon copy of the tactics that ultimately got Rafa the sack last season.

Yet here we are, looking worse than average. Today, for the first time in over 30 years of watching Liverpool either live or on the box, i drifted off to sleep. I'm ashamed of my actions and it was on 44 mins but still i will punish myself and beg my fellow fans for forgiveness.

I will re watch every second of this game again tonight. I think that's punishment enough. On the bright side, i thought the fans were excellent today. They didn't do the trick.

But Hodgson has to go. He hasn't got the credentials needed to survive at this club. Hiddick isn't the best long term future but he'll get us on the straight and narrow and give us something to build on.

Seriously if this continues, especially away from home we'll be the laughing stock of the Country.

Bob the Red (please let me know a suitable punishment for my crime)

Really well done to the lads today and especially RH. As long as he's coach he has my backing, how the hell can u judge a manager after a few months lets hive him a season then judge him. So long as we are in the top half of the table by xmas we can kick on with 1 or 2 top additions to the squad. Ive followed this site since the summer and some Liverpool fans are a joke. U all banging on about FR, GH, give yr wet dreams up and support Roy and the team. Support what we have, not what we dont. This is LIVERPOOL YNWA, keep the faith, that's what we do. This can still be a successfull season for us Fa cup, europa leage and Cl place all still to play for. So come on and get behind the team. ABring on Chelsea next! !

31 Oct 2010 19:50:39

Great result today, its a good sign because it wasnt a gr8 performance but we grinded out the win,
lucas was excellent, i think he gave the ballaway once in the whole game, that shoul open peoples eyes , , he may not be world class , but hes stil young ad can improve, if you compare him now to 2 years ago he is a much better player, and is good to have in our squad, everybody loves a player like him , he has a great desire to do well and has dealt with critasism really well. .come on lucas keep it up son. .

iv also been reading all week that we shud sell maxi for 4 mill and 3 mill etc.
he was the star of our team today, always found space and showed for the ball. so talk of offloading him is rubbish as iv said all week, hes also good 2 have in the squad.

you so called supporters have to give the players a chance, when the going gets tough you lot are the first to turn on them, im not having a pop at every1 , but 50% of you are to impatient with players, i know there is some deadwood in the squad but im simply saying that maxi and lucas ar good players.

what do u make of this ed? {ed's note - Lucas had a good game, amazing how people get on his back every time he doesn't but no one is screaming at Gerrard who was awful yet again today. Can anyone remember the last time he played well?}

That is true . I would have thought the result today seems a little lucky , but looking at the above mentioned results . I think it offers a good perception . Chelsea @ Blackburn / Arsenal @ home to West ham . LFC's 3 points at bolton mean just as much .

There's only one thing for it! You'll have to put it down.

31 Oct 2010 19:39:07
See the problem with you liverpool fans is that if a horrible player for example maxi or lucus scores then you all praise him where as 2 days ago you were making fun of them

I was talking about Torres wanting chances from his team mates . Maxi has done well for the last 2 games only .

31 Oct 2010 19:38:50

(Hodgson looked very stressed/ tired/ unhappy which was even spotted by Sky. He walked straight down tunnel after brief handshakes without seeming to acknowledge the crowd who were superb throughout the game. You would have thought it was a home game.)

Forgot to mention our supporters at todays game, fantastic, made me proud.

31 Oct 2010 19:36:59
The truth is we need better players , but it is always nice to see someone do well for the team . Today only the 3 points count , and we continue to look forward to a time when the team plays with some class .

31 Oct 2010 19:36:57

I thought that was a pretty dire game until Ngog was brought on. Until then it had been fairly evens-stevens but once Ngog was on alongside Torres and Gerrard dropped back the team seemed to buck-up and Maxi in particular suddenly seemed to play like a man possesed. From then on it was obvious that we were going to score.

Good result and excellent support from the '12th Man'.

RED LENIN

31 Oct 2010 19:36:34

I thought the Greek was very good last two games. Torres lookedthe most interested in a game this season. His workrate was good today. Skertle had a decent game and is unfairly criticized. Carragher looks as determend as he as ever been but lacks pace and therefor needs to be a bit part player. Not as doom or gloom now. We are 5points from 4th and only 3 from 5th. Should we scrape a win against Chelsea then the league will change again

31 Oct 2010 19:35:32

Nice to get another win.

I also thought that Hodgson looked totally dejected, even after the goal. I started shouting at the TV when it was 0-0 and he was just sat in the dug out, I think he would have been happy with a draw. Don't get me wrong I think he's a nice guy but it looks as though the pressure is taking its toll.
Thought Nando looked better in the second half, picked the ball up and ran a at them a bit more. Gerrard has to start in midfield, wasted up front.

I think two wide players are the highest priority, more so than another striker, we lack pace and any kind of cutting edge. Torres has never played well with another striker but give him pacey, good not headless chicken, wingers and he will thrive.
Also think we need to have a bit of a fire sale to get rid of the dead wood and lower the wage bill.

31 Oct 2010 19:32:16

Did any body note Richard Keys remark about Hodgson looking tired? He not only looked tired. He looked like he has aged 10 years since July. The job is too big for him at 63 years of age. I for one don't want anything nasty to happen to him concerning his health.

31 Oct 2010 19:31:13

31 Oct 2010 19:30:21
I have to say I was concerned about torres's performance for much of the game , he is clearly lacking in confidence and it looked difficult for him out there , then he performs that great flick for Maxi . He must be wishing he can get service like that , he would certainly be made up to get chances like that from his team mates .

31 Oct 2010 19:14:45

Hodgson, has just described Liverpool's win at Bolton both "Historic and Famous". For god's sake - SACK HIM QUICKLY - he is a total embarrassment to the club. That man is a total idiot! His tactics are sh*te and he is managing to make Torres and Gerrard look like crap players. Yes they didn't play well but how much is this due to Hodgson's tactics? BTW Lucas was fabulous today. Give the lad a break he justs gets better and better and one day soon he will make plenty of doubters eat their words.
===========================
I believe Hodgson is an honourable and decent man. But he can't take the club any further. He has lost the players. He is from the previous regime. New era, new manager. Take Sammy Lee with you.

31 Oct 2010 19:28:34

Such an insightful win;
Play Stevie deeper
If anyone calls n'gog deadwood i will find you and smack you around the face by god.
Play 2 strikers.
Our defence is quite good
We need pace. .fast ( get it ) :)
Affelay, young and one big name striker to come in.
but thanks a lot LFC 11 :)

31 Oct 2010 19:22:27

For me Torres has been fantastic for Spain, Ath. Madrid and since 2007 for Liverpool. But I am becoming more and more disheartened by his body language. It is becoming harder and harder to defend him when even non lovers of football in my family question his facial expressions of disinterest and him walking off at the Reebok without following his team mates to thank the travelling Liverpool supporters.

31 Oct 2010 19:17:45

ED, i totally agree with you! it was nice to win but a terrible display to watch. i am not one to dwell on the past, but i have supported the reds for 47 years, through thick and thin, and this is the worst time i have seen, and that includes the souness era that was bad enough! but this. . . .

As I sit here thinking about the long term future of our great team, i'm left in no doubt whatsoever that Hodgson will be on his way. Unless NESV strongly believe he's the man for the next 4 or 5 years then why oh why would they leave him in place for January? Roy seems a really good guy but unfortunately that's not what we need. Surely NESV had thoughts on the future before the takeover and would have targets lined up to lead us forward?
They would be looking for a manager to take us back to the playing style of Liverpool of old. . .not Roys style!
I think the time has come and a new manager will need a couple of months to target his own signings. Add this to Roys body language today, and rumours getting stronger by the day regarding Guus Hiddink and I think we're nearing the End Game. The Phoenix is about to rise from the ashes!

There are 7 or 8 premier league games within the next 10 premier league games (before the january window opens) that LFC can win well . Is Roy hodgson capable of securing such a good run of results? . It would certainly make his position a whole lot stronger .

31 Oct 2010 19:04:37

I for one can not actually wait till january to get a hopefully quality striker in because we looked so much better as 4-4-2 even if it wern't for long also i perfer gerrard deeper

Balanced? Absolutely pathetic. How about Jason McAteer? {ed's note - you know Peter Reid and his family were Liverpool fans don't you? Great result today! Maybe not a good performance, but I think more can be taken from today's game against a team who have only been beaten once this season especially when we haven't played well than last weeks game against Blackburn who where missing 4 players.Saying that Carra & Koncesky still consistently gave the ball away & Torres, who at least seen a fair bit of the ball didn't do much bar a neat wee flick at the end. I could beleive how well Ngog played when he came on for the inept Joe Cole.In the situation we are in at the moment, I would always take the win over a good performance. If you don't win & get the confidence back then good performances will never follow. Next weeks match could be a defining moment in our season! Only if we somehow win!

I think Joe Cole is finding it difficult to play as the second striker . He is learning a new position this season and it could take time before he is used to playing with his back to goal . {ed's note - Joe Cole played on the left, he was not playing as a second striker.}

Sure . I was thinking of how he was being used in the earlier games , like a beardsley almost . {ed's note - it is not a new position, he played it many times in the past.}

31 Oct 2010 18:44:17

Jolly good call earlier ED! pat yourself on the back, we did snatch that goal. by the way isn't it amazing how one goal can turn all the boo boy's! are we out the drop zone yet ED? {ed's note - yes, but we aren't safe yet. If we don't improve our performances we will continue to struggle all season. I really didn't enjoy that match at all, apart from the goal, we were awful and there was just no attacking threat until the last quarter of an hour.}

31 Oct 2010 18:41:08
Lucas was in the Premier Leagues 'top 5' for tackles made and 'top 5' for passes made last season , just 2 or 3 players more consistent than him in the whole league last season . maybe the midfielder has a real future at the club .

31 Oct 2010 18:40:51

Soto had a good game won 90% of headers against super keV played a lot better with two up front team has to be
Riena
Carra. Soto. Agger/ skurtel kon/ fabio
Mer. Gerrard cole maxi
Torries ngog
subs
Johnson
Lucas
Kelly
shelvey
perchco

No room for babel , poulson or any other that has had many chances to play for LFC but this team will have keep us going until jan then 5 new signings two forwards wingers and a left back

31 Oct 2010 18:40:50

Who thinks Torres should play against Napoli? He needs goals and we need a win, but we must also think about Chelsea. Personally, I would play;

Reina

Kelly Kyrgiakos Wilson Mavinga

Amoo Meireles Lucas Maxi

N'gog Jovanovic

31 Oct 2010 18:39:10

Win or lose, Roy has to go!

Had Joe Cole not went, we would have drawn 0-0 or worse!

So hard to watch us play at the moment. We need to sign a centre forward desperately. Gerrard should not be playing behind Torres.

Fair play to Soto and Maxi tonight, both put in good performances. Shame about the usual crap from Skrtel, Konk, Lucas.

31 Oct 2010 18:37:08

Really happy about the win, the teams low on confidence and fans have to realise it's been a bad run but we'll keep improving.

Today highlighted the left side of our team is still lacking a lot of quality. I'm looking forward to if/ when Aurelio gets fit and if Joe Cole is out for a while perhaps seeing Jovan start a few games and hopefully find some form. Come Jan we really do need a more direct winger. All top teams generally play one pacy skillful player and one wide midfielder. Kuyt on the right? ? on the left. Anyone got any decent ideas, Sanchez will be too expensive as will Hazard (who plays better centrally). Can Honda hug the touchline? I've only seen him play centrally for Japan and although I'd love him I don't want another Joe Cole who just drifts inside all game long.

Any thoughts?

That win (welcome as it was) has done nothing to change the fact that we are a terrible football side. With the exception of maybe blackburn and bolton (who, seemingly proving my point, we happen to have beaten back to back) we play the worst football in the league (in terms of creativity).

We continue to be to deep, to narrow, to tame, to slow, to predictable, to uncreative and to dependent on a few players.

And to all those who will rant and rave about how we should "support" our club and "give it time" and "we just need this player and that player"; i say to i will NEVER support the type of game we play. And I don't care who we sign in January or the summer, i will continue to want rid of ANY manager that comes in and uses our current tactics. Great players in a side using a bad system makes an average team. This is what we have and all we can hope for no matter who we sign. If you play a good system then great players make you a great side! Even average players get better if you use a good system. This is what we lack at liverpool and why we will continue to struggle until the system changes.

If you're not prepared to lose then you will never win! When was the last time a defensive team won the league? Never is the answer! How the hell are we going to get back into the top four (let alone challenge for the title) when we rarely have more than 1 man in the box? Or when we play with 7 outfield players in our own half?

I could go on and on and on, but i've gone on longer than i should have. In short. Win, lose or draw, our play is negative and rubbish and untill it changes i will not support our manager.

I think gerrard torres partnership is over now as we don't have the creativity wit alonso gone so I think Roy should jus drop gerrard in the middle wit meireles and Lucas who I thought was very good today again. As long as poulsen is not on the park I think we should be ok. 2 wingers in jan and a striker and we will have that creativity! I do worry bout skrtel though he's a peno waiting to happen. Gerrard and Torres partnership in 1st half is why we need to change they didn't look the part at all
Fowler is god

Ps van der vaart is not a striker whoever posted that spurs played wit 2 strikers. He's a lazy number 10 but wit great ability

31 Oct 2010 18:31:55

I don't know about you, but it's shameful that we've criticised players like Lucas and Ngog for so long. Imagine playing with that pressure and trying to do well, it's near impossible. Lucas has been one of our best players over the last few seasons but most fans seem to focus on the negatives. He's now got a bit of confidence back and he's playing well; playing like he would have if he hadn't of been the scapegoat for our poor performances for so long.
Ngog is in a similar boat. Ok, he's never going to be a world beater, but look at him today. He was awesome, in 30 mins he did ten times what Torres did. He's constantly criticised but there's a decent player in him that needs to come out but can't because he's low on confidence. (Look at Berbatov at United for an example)

It's about time we got behind these players and showed them they've got the full backing of everyone.

Ed, do you agree? {ed's note - I do believe they are decent squad players and it would be nice if they got more backing from the crowd, especially when they make mistakes.}

31 Oct 2010 18:31:24

Ed just wondering what you think of our chances against chelsea next week i would be happy with a draw maybe a 0-0 but do you think that is realistic. also do you still think roy hodgson will get the sack. {ed's note - I can't see us getting anything from Chelsea playing like that, they will rip us to shreds. I hope we can get a point but I am not confident at all, we are playing so badly and you can't get away with it against Chelsea. I am still told he is going, performances like that won't help his cause that is for sure.}

31 Oct 2010 18:27:04

Ngog was awesome. Changed the game completely. When gerrard drops back he's quality. Why can't roy see this?!

totally agree mate. having ngog on the pitch allowed gerrard to drop in to his best position (he's one of the best centre mids in the world, yet roy doesn't play him there?!) and boss the midfield. it also meant bolton's back four now had another man to think about allowing torres to drop off and make runs.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To be fair Rafa played Gerrard there and both him and Torres were class for the two seasons before last. The reason it doesn't work now is because there is no Alonso to pick Gerrard out straight away from all angles. Until Jan going 4-4-2 with Gerrard dropping deeper next to Raul must be the solution. Might be worth giving Jova a run on the left if Cole is out for a few weeks, might give us more balance.

Can you see LFC finishing in a very respectable position this season? A few signings in the January transfers window will make a difference , but will we be in a 'champions league' place at the end of the season? The team will really need to improve itself . After the run of results that seen LFC lose to Northampton , draw with Sunderland and lose to Blackpool at anfield then losing the derby and drawing in Napoli , I asked for the team to win against Blackburn and Bolton , get the 3 points against Napoli in the Europa league before putting on a good showing against Chelsea at Anfield to turn the season around and provide a foundation to start winning again and put together consistent results to build a decent looking season . Alot of hard work for the team to achieve that , but 2 consecutive is already making the season look a little better .

Maxi is class :)

ha ha everyone slags him off all time he saves us at the end and everyones calling him class and hero ha ha maxi tbh is a good player, , like alot of foreigners use to slow paced football it takes them time to settle and get use to the pace and the physicallity of the english game, , , ok so now its been literally a season for him since he came cos its been a year, , , i think we may start seeing the real maxi the spanish ppl saw and argentina saw

To much doom and gloom on this site atm! playing badly and winning is better than playing well and losing. new manager, new players. . it hasnt clicked yet, but in time with one or two brought in, in jan and who knows where we will be at the end of the season. good indivdual peformances from the centre halves 2day. big test nxt week, lets hope the greek can keep didier diveba quiet. untill roy is sacked, how about we support him. . . just a thought.

31 Oct 2010 18:21:54

Most people are going to slate me for saying this but I think that was just another disgraceful performance and Hodgson has to go, one way or another. Talk about papering over the cracks. .any old rubbish team manages a couple of wins now and again, it doesn't mean anything. How many times can a Liverpool defence hoof the ball away, eyes closed, to nowhere?

NO STYLE, NO PATTERN, NO MOTIVATION, NO FORMATION, NO PASSION, NO DIRECTION, NO LEADERSHIP, NO DECENT MANAGER.

I keep saying this but just what does Hodgson say to this team before kick off and at half time. .?? I have never seen a Liverpool side start games and second halves with such a lack of game plan or general idea. It's pathetic.

I am a season ticket holder who has been watching Liverpool for 35 years and I have NEVER seen a season like this.

HODGSON, WALK.

31 Oct 2010 18:21:51

We played awfully for the first half and 15 minutes of the second half. Bring ngog on was the difference because torres has support and that meant gerrard went back to cm where he can control the game.

Lucas motm and good game by skrtel and the greek.

31 Oct 2010 18:21:02

Papa G {ed's note - we still need more pace in the middle, the defence is dropping too deep, which means the full backs are starting their run from our half instead of the opposition half. No point having Johnson as an attacking full back if he is having to run 50 yards just to get into a dangerous position.}

I can't deny that. Lucas played effectively today but he's incredibly static and watching Poulson move through quick sand doesn't fill me with confidence either. Poulson next to Gerrard may work, but I worry that Raul will be left doing all the donkey work. I think Cole behind Torres for the time being or N'gog and then replace them with Honda or an out and out striker in the summer.

We definitely need a pacy left winger, can't say I know who mind.

Just looked on Liverpool website at the league table and it said we were 15th with 10 points , even tho we are 12th with 12 points LOL they obviously didn't think we were going to get a late goal at bolton and put it on there as a draw.

SO GLAD WE GOT THE 3 POINTS! Still wasnt the best performance ever but its a start , its an away win , its a clean sheet and its 3 points , GOOD BYE RELEGATION ZONE! all this talk about us being the next leeds united getting relegated and going to the championship bet they feel silly now , lets be honest there was no chance at all!

CMON YOU REDS! onwards and upwards! the liverpool fans were great today could hear all our songs , anfield road and youll never walk alone etc :D great stuff

31 Oct 2010 18:17:17

Having seen Torres all season, I would definatly say he isn't being utalised properly. Torres played most of the game with his back to the goal, and drifting outside the box when he should be leading the line, and playing off the shoulder of the defender.

Gerrard is in a similar situation.

Calm down, he was hardly playing against the frontline of Brazil.
Sell the Greek in the summer. {ed's note - and he was constantly giving away fouls, I don't see why anyone thinks Kyrgiakos is good enough for Liverpool.}

31 Oct 2010 18:16:30

The only positive thing today was 3 points, some of the football at times was laughable and dare I say it embarrassing. We looked like we turned the corner last week but on today's display we are back to square one.No doubt Roy will say it was a spirited and well deserved victory.A bad result against Chelsea could be Roys demise.I for one will shed no tears.

31 Oct 2010 18:15:54

Just watching this match and i think we fully deserve to be in the bottom 3 were carp play horrible football roy hodgeson must go after this match along with maxi ngog merelies lucas cole poulsen carra skrtel konchsky

Ridiculous, Meireles, Skrtel, Cole and Ngog are all decent players. So's Lucas been one of our best players over the years and Carra.

31 Oct 2010 18:13:39

I don't care what anybody says, but we really need a quality left back. Spend over the odds if necessary, but Konchesky is a liability and gives the ball away far too easily. We have got to get at least one new winger and a good striker to partner Torres.

31 Oct 2010 18:12:49

HAHHA YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAH IM ELATED 3 POINTs WHo CARES HOW THEY COME ILL TAKE THOSE PRECIOUS POINTS BABYYYYYYYYYY I LOVE YOU FERNANDO and if ANYONE DARES disses gerrard ONE BAD GAME rememeber istanbul? OLYMPIAKOS FA CUP FINAL? ARSENAL QUARTER FINAL top player well done maxi too :) looked good recently so happy

It was only a couple of seasons ago we were all saying Gerrard is the perfect partner for Torres, now u say he looks lost Make ur minds up and get behind the players and manager ffs.

31 Oct 2010 18:08:38

Does anyone realise how hard it is to go to Bolton and generally deal with them confortably. Most people on here just moan and bitch about negative tactics, Roy out etc etc but aren't seeing the bigger picture. We've had a rough start to the season and surely when confidence is at an all time low two wins out of two is all we can hope for as fans. Once we get Kuyt back, Johnson's fitness and hopefully confidence will return and we'll start to progress down the right again. We need a left winger in Jan, someone who is direct and will stretch a team but the spine remains strong and Torres is getting better, especially with support upfront to give him more space.

Give us another few games we'll climb the table and hopefully start looking like the good team we're.

Papa G {ed's note - we still need more pace in the middle, the defence is dropping too deep, which means the full backs are starting their run from our half instead of the opposition half. The best bit about today is seeing Fat Sam's face afterwards. Fantastic

31 Oct 2010 18:06:08

Now *that's* more like it. People might say it's "only" Bolton, but let's remember, before today they'd only lost once in nine league games.

I also have to say I'm changing my mind about Kyriagkos, he had Davies in his pocket for most of the afternoon, which is no mean feat. He's niggly, annoying and can unsettle similar strikers (Davies, Drogba etc) with somebody more cultured next to him (Agger) this could be some way towards a solution.

Was it a coincidence that Torres looked a lot happier after Gerrard dropped deeper and he had some support with Ngog alongside him? And for people that criticise Ngog's first touch, I was watching closely today and it seemed fine to me. Let's not forget he is young and still learning, I think he deserves more credit than he gets.

Onwards and upwards. .

YNWA - Matt S {ed's note - were you happy with that performance? Dropping deep and looking to snatch a goal? Defending in numbers to such a degree and as soon as we scored bringing on a defensive midfielder while Sammy Lee screamed at the players to keep it tight? Kyrgiakos was lucky not to give away a penalty as well, if Davies hadn't spent the entire match diving at every touch the ref would have given that.}

31 Oct 2010 18:03:14

A great result today but the performance again was pitiful.the team has no direction, no leadership and nobody in a red shirt looks comfortable with the ball.
this is not liverpool and if we continue to play like this we will be back at the bottom end of the table before too long.chelsea next week god help us.roy has to go as soon as possible, i don't care what it cost, a new manager should be our first signing, somebody who will unite the players play attacking football and invest in better players than konchescy and poulsen.if roy gets a sizeable warchest in january i shudder to think who we could end up with, nzogbia, brunt, dempsey have all been linked recently and that is what scares me.a hiddink or rijkaard would never consider these players and this is the type of manager we should be looking at to put us back were we belong and that is challenging for every honour with teams coming to anfield hoping for a point instead of taking the game to us on our own turf.

31 Oct 2010 18:00:07
Tottenham went to Old Trafford yesterday with 2 strikers , LFC go to the Reebok with only 1 in the starting line up , 2 strikers looks like the better option .

31 Oct 2010 17:58:30

I think this shows we HAVE to play 2 up front. More options when N'gog came on. Against Chelsea, there will be less chances, so we will have to take them, so 2 strikers have to be played up front, otherwise Terry and Ivanovic will defend Torres easily.

Hopefully we can get a win against Napoli and start getting a bit of confidence back before an extremely difficult game. We are only 3 points away from 5th, so let's get behind the team.

P.s Lucas and The Greek were good today.

31 Oct 2010 17:58:15
Roy Hodgson has got to be feeling a little good about 2 consecutive wins . Should have started with the two strikers .

Well done Liverpool and well done Roy Hodgson, good 3 pts.

I think us Liverpool fans should have a say on the transfers in january , cause im worried if roy is armed with money that he might blow it on flops ( e.g Poulsen ) only if they had a poll on the liverpool website of some of the players were linked with and if we could all vote and then the board and manager not necessarily go out and buy them but just take it into consideration on what the fans think. Wont ever happen but would be nice to have a say , because ive noticed on here the same names keep cropping up so i think its obvious we all want similar players ( Hulk , LLorente , Turan , Honda , Hazard , Sanchez , Affelay , Taiwo )

We need two wingers and there are plenty of options :

Affelay
Hazard
Honda
Sanchez
Turan
A.Young
Mata

If you could choose 2 liverpool fans and ed which ones would you choose? really we need to base it on price , Age , wages , Desire to play for LIVERPOOL FC , adaptbility to premier league. {ed's note - on those conditions, it has to be Honda and Afellay.}. So ability has nothing to do with it? I'm 18, would play for free, love the pool more than live itself and you could snap me up on a free. Think I tick all the boxes but I doubt I'll be playin in the middle of the park next week. Roy won't walk anytime soon

31 Oct 2010 17:16:50

Ed, no one is better than Vidic at LFC, granted, but that's not to say I'd want the guy in my team.
The only player I'd take from your club is Evra, that's it.

I'd have Torres, Villa or Tevez over Rooney and/ or Berbatov any day;Muller over the Mexican;Van der Wiel over Rafael;Pique, Lucio, and Alex over Rio, Vidic, Evans;Pepe, Iker and Buffon over VDS;Gerrard, Alonso, Meireles, Shelvey and Song over Fletcher, Carrick, Gibson, Anderson and Scholes, and Sanchez, Di Maria, Elia and Bale over Nani, Valencia and Obertan.

If I were to buy from your club, only Evra would be my man.I rate the guy as the best in his position.
I'm not piss-taking here, just being honest.
This Manchester team is the worst I've seen in years. And, we-with the right gaffer, doing things sanely-I'd say are a far better TEAM.

I don't remember how many matches we've completely outplayed the carp out of them, only to be undone either by some moronic refereeing, or school boy errors.

Oh, by the way, what's the all the hype and adulation about the Mexican?Sure, he does tap them in (as does Bent and a plethora of others), but what makes stand out and so deserving of the plaudits and (high) expectations?

WE ARE LIVERPOOL

Watching Bolton v LFC. Does anyone else think Bolton's tactic is to get the long ball on Kevin 'fatty' Davies' head on the edge of the box so he can jump, fall over and claim a free kick which they can hopefully score from?
Dont know why people are knocking Torres either - I think he's trying hard against sturdy opposition.

Just watching the Bolton game and have to say, I don't think I've ever seen a worse Liverpool side in all my life, there's no urgency or fluency at all. Also, has anybody noticed Torres, his body language says it all. He pulls out of most tackles, and refuses to chase like he used to. With January window not too far off, this does not look good.

Wish the Mancs would clear off. Yous have your own problems. £500m of debts, £80m losses this year, lack of ambition (like Rooney said), can no longer attract top class players (like Rooney said) and soon to lose Rooney. (Yea, signed a new deal, "loves" the club! Don't just spend weeks wanting to leave due to lack of ambition and then change your mind in 24hours. Fergusen tied him down to that deal because he would have been able to leave in the Summer for £5m if he bought out his contract and even if he didn't his price would have been down so the deal is only to make sure yous get big money for him).
{Editor's note - I have edited your post slightly, do not mention what was in the post again or you will have to ban you}

Very good point but if you have a striker who is in form(chicpea). a midfielder who is mainly on form (nani mcfee) and a ref that gives you free goals . at mo we just need the biggies to step up their form. .

31 Oct 2010 15:52:50

Just been reading that Roy Hodgson wants to bring in players in January, including a striker.

No doubt he will go for the very average Carlton Cole and splash out some stupid price like £10-12m on him. Tired of our club going for garbage like this and I'm tired of Hodgson targeting garbage like this aswell! I've seen us linked with Wayne Routlege, C.Cole, Bobby Zamora and all sorts of mid-table standard players and I really am fed up with it.

I hear that Dalglish is suggesting these great young players to Hodgson and he is over-looking them for flops? ?

Carlton Cole can't even perform for the bubble boys in East London so what makes Hodgson think he'll perform for one of the biggest clubs in world football?? How will signings like this improve us? What it will do is give us a bit of height, but nothing more. Another poor player and another £10m of the club's money wasted.

No wonder Torres wants to leave! Told by Benitez and co. that we would be signing top players and we sell Alonso, replace him with a £20m flop who keeps the physios in work. Buy crap like N'Gog and Maxi.

Then Hodgson comes in and promises progess and these great ambitions and wastes £5m on Poulsen, buys an average left-back, plays a disgustingly bad brand of football (worse than Rafa's), our defence isn't the solid beast of a unit it once was, and he doesn't even play Agger because he doesn't like his style of play.

Seriously, if we go for sh* e like C.Cole in the transfer window then expect to lose Torres. Torres needs a good strike partner with class to compliment him and we bring in Carlton Cole? Goodness me.

I've been patient for ages with Liverpool. I love the club, and I support the managers. But I sure as hell won't support any more crap signings at this club. I'm tired of the people talking about "ambition" and "winning" and "progress" and being back to where we want to be and then going and trying to sign Carlton Cole? No wonder the fans are angry and confused as to where we are and want to be.

If I was Torres, and was being told of our ambitions to be at the top, then sign garbage and try to bring in Cole I would want to leave the club and sign for someone like Chelsea or Barcelona who go for TOP players and have REAL ambitions.

31 Oct 2010 15:25:46

Just seen the team. Same side that beat blackburn. That means carragher at rb again (obviously because as planned as our manager recently stated, there's no point tryin to show ur worth in training becuz it 'wouldn't be fair to leave out experienced players'. What a joke!) Anyway, against blackburn he was fine becuz they had no attacking threat and left him room to get forward. Today against bolton it simply will not work because they will whip in cross after cross for k davies, carragher will rarely hav chance to get forward and when he does his lack of pace will leave him exposed at the back. Lucas in the middle as a holding midfielder is another waste. He's an attackin player! Gerrard will again hav to run around all over the place to get the ball. Torres will be left isolated up front, chasing hopeful long balls and we will at best get a boring draw.

Id like nothing better than to be proved wrong and see us attack with purpose and pace but I very much doubt it and come 6pm everyone will once again be callin for roy's head!

dont know exact figures in away games

Alot of people think we have huge money to spend, sanchez and hamsik are £20m players ( not saying they are worth it but that's what their clubs will want). Roy is right we need 5 or 6, but i would rather he signed 2 very good players in january rather than 5 or 6 average players. Then come then come the summer 2 or 3 more quality players. We need to take it slow and do it right or the club has learned nothing from the 2 cowboys that have just got the road. I think we need a striker and winger in january. Lorente and Affelay would be nice around £30 for both. What u think ed {ed's note - I think the same, no need to buy lots of squad players, buy one or two top class players and use youth to fill in gaps in the squad.}

RE:Rafa was manager when we won the CL in 2005. .with Houllier's team.

Houilers team lacked real quality. i mean quaility in midfield. Rafa benitez bought Xabi Alsono + Luis Garica to the club.

That improved the team no end. Then he sold off the rest of the team at the end of the season.

Rafa benitez bought in two really big players when he came. FACT.

Get over Houiler

but even today i saw a few things saying cole and crouch where on his list of players, but hopefuly its like you said and those are just rumours left over from jan and the press just don't know who hes after now.
but apparently RH and Henry are going to have talks today about targets.
besides theres no one with the same quality as torres but we atleast need someone close, like suarez, Dzeko, Aguero but those are unlikely.

RH said : "I'm prepared to accept that a number of players we're looking to sign do make five or six – but I don't wish to specify positions other than one is obviously a front player.

"In January we should be really looking to solve one or two situations. We are desperately short of players. Front players. "Having three front players at the club, and that's if you include Ryan Babel, is nowhere near good enough.

"If Fernando isn't playing one week, you have got to get someone in who has got the same level of quality."

Sorry but how can you say 15 million for Young is not expensive? He's on par with SWP both, very average mid table players at best, no where near the quality Liverpool need and better we wait until we get the best player for each position than spend crazy money on players that aren't good enough, we did enough of that the last five years!

31 Oct 2010 11:29:30

Been thinking of this whole January transfer saga and think we have enough depth in squad to see us through this season. Let's be realistic no matter who we sign and capture for a good price in Jan is not going to help us win the title this season.

So what should be look to do in Jan, well as I am an arm chair manager I believe we should make a statement of intent with 1 or 2 squad players and 1 big name if possible to show Torres and the rest of the squad the NESV mean business.

So possible signings that I believe we would be able to afford in Jan and would help us into European place at least.

Defenders -

Steve Taylor - Newcastle (versatile defender, young and able to be moulded into a new Carragher. Plus he was the under 21 captain before his injury).

Garry Cahill - Bolton (young promising defender who could again fit into the Carragher ways).

Midfielder's -

Not sure we need anything in the middle of the park with Gerrard, Lucas, Poulsen and Mireiles.

So width is what we need, I would go for

Ashley Young, Aston Villa (he can play left right or as a striker).

Ibriaham Affarley, PSV (would be a good signing and with Kuyt and Babel there he could settle).

Striker

Now people will hit the unbelievable button quicker then Didier Yves Drogba Tébily hits the floor when flicked on a Saturday afternoon, but this is my choice of 1 of 2 players

Carlton Cole - Stop giving him a hard time he is playing for a really crap team with now spirit and no creation. At Liverpool i think he could a very very good job upfront on his own when Torres is injured or as a striking partner.

Robbie Keane, Spurs, we could pick him up for 3 - 4 million as he is 31 and he would without doubt do a job. It was Rafa whole lost us this player for what ever reasons and this cost us the title in 2008.

Of course if we really want to make a statement buy someone cheap (keane) and then put the rest of the cash into Xabi Alonso and get him back at Melwood and Anfield. This would be better the 5 new signings as he would be such an injection of confidence into the team.

One final point all this talk of players leaving, Reina, Torres and others by the papers. Why oh why didn't Roy come out on Thursday and simple say no players are for sale but we are looking at strengthen the squad and i'm interested in Fab from Arsenal and Tevez from city. This would at least say we are a buying club and not a selling club. Even if he has no intentions of buying these players.

- - - - - - - - -
Sorry, mate, that team would get relegated to League 1 within a few years, that team is a crime against football.
Firstly, if Carlton Cole was so talented why did Chelsea sell him? Why hasn't he been swooped up by Man City for £35m? He's nearly 27 and he makes Heskey look like Usain Bolt and Pele's lovechild.
Secondly, Robbie Keane wasn't given a fair chance in my opinion, but he's too old now and has lost his touch, if he had one in the first place.
Thirdly, you remark that our midfield is fine and continue as if Poulsen doesn't exist. We have, perhaps, the worst Defensive Midfielder who ever walked this earth in Poulsen - who must be sold as soon as possible. The you go on to say we should pool ALL our money into buying Alonso - who is nearly 31 and would serve us two more top-class years at best. I don't know if your post was a joke because when I read that we should buy Ashley Young, Robbie Keane, Carlton Cole and keep Poulsen then I instantly assume that.

Please no, unprofessional at times and cuts in far to much. If a player isn't going to drastically improve the side then there is no point paying the money. I'm worried that the standard of signing for lfc is dropping and I think Roy over the last season has contributed to this.

Roy Hodgson is looking to bring 'five or six' players to Liverpool in January, including a new striker.

Sorry mate but it doesn't say that, he says "I'm prepared to accept that a number of players we're looking do make five or six" he then goes on to say ''In January we should be really looking to solve one or two situations''

Its a shame, ive been a follower of this sight for a while now, ive read all the wish lists of players and managers. most people have the same sort of ideas of players, turan, banega honda the most comman. but with roy in charge these players will have to stay on the wishlist. my point is that roy spent the 3rd most amount of money in the summer behind the 2 manchester clubs. and look at the players he identified and brought in. nearly 9m on poulsen and konchesky.why was poulsen even brought? and now the only rumours that i actually believe are players like nzogbia, dempsey carton cole etc because from what we have seen from roy so far, this is the sort of player he will sign. if we sign average players then we will have an average squad its that simple. roy is a true gent, but just an average joe bloggs who will in time turn the team in to the same. thankyou for all your hard work roy but we want to take the club forward and you are not the man to do that.

I would love arda Turan but that's not going to happen. Ed what are your thoughts on young? Liverpool to win 1 0. {ed's note - I don't rate him mate.}

Firstly great job to the editors of this site and it's great to hear the views of other LFC fans. The only gripe I have is we as Liverpool fans have always stuck together through thick and thin but all this talk of RH getting the sack is wrong. For this to happen it means that we are to suffer more bad results. I for one would perfer that Roy pulls it out of the bag and puts us back were we truly belong. Don't get me wrong I've been frustrated aswell with negative tactics but common guys we really do need to pull together. . .sorry but I don't care who is the manager I just want us to be a force again.

To the sad cases who are giving carra stick, we would never of won in istanbul without carra

And if it wasn't for Carra we wouldn't have been 3-0 down at half time, which seems to slip from everyone's memory as well as the nightmare he had in Athens. Behave and start thinking with your head instead of your heart. Did you not seen him walking back as we got outplayed by the mighty Blackpool. He was f* * d after 20 minutes and lost most of the headers to a guy much shorter then him. He's gone my freind and we need to look for the future. Come in number 23 your time is up. .

what would you think if we only signed 3 players this January? And those 3 players were Keisuke Honda, Arda Turan, and Eden Hazard. Will there be cause for complaint? And sell 3 players? (Johnson, Maxi, Babel)

RE: switch to a 3-5-2

Hodgson hates having 3 at the back because they are unable to cover the pitch space. 4 men at the back can cover the space better.

Plus CBKs hate moving out of central positions because it makes them look stupid. eg Agger playing on LBK, too much space around him. CBK are strong big and good at head, but hate lots of space around them and prefer to stay central

If we had the players at the club. Then this formation could work. Rememeber the england team 1990. they played 3-5-2, but Stuart Pearce was a LBK playing centre. He could play both positions. The same for RBK position.

England played one CBK and two players that where lbk/ cbk and rbk/ cbk players. England also had Paul Ince dropping back into CBK position to cover the space.

Now for liverpool to play this positon. we would need Emiliano Insúa back and javier mascherano back. Plus Carragher would have to step into a time machine and get his legs back.

Agger may be able to LBK/ Cbk
Skrtel CBK
Carragher RBK/ CKB

This would allow G-Johnson + Insua to play the wings.

mascherano would have to play DM/ CBK play push up the pitch. So a hard tacklin quality DM is need.

Gerrard, Meireles (holding midfield.

Joe-Cole (Act Mid)

Torres (Striker)

Renia

< - - - -Carra Skrtel Agger - - - - >

javi mascherano
G Johnson Insua

Gerrard Meireles

Joe-Cole

Torres

But still you would be worried by carra and Agger ability to cover the space at the back. This formation would allow G-Johnson to run > and Insua to attck the wings. Torres would get crosses.

Joe Cole could play creative.

Gerrard and Meireles would hold the midfield. Beni could of played this formation,

FACT.

Get over Houiler/ he bought poor players. His french scouting reports where rubbish info. Wenger was better at figurin out which french players where worth it.

Buying plauers is the key.Roy can't do it and beni could.Houiler couldnt.

King Kenny did it at blackburn + 80's, (key is Is director of Football at lfc)

Kenny D should take that job and shape the club. He is the key to the football club. He shouldnt be the manager. but the one who decides our football policy + future + transfers spending
