Want a job Kev?

IF you believe half the stuff on here then there should be one going around January at Liverpool mate and you sound a if you have all the credentials.

You would be better than Martin O'Neill no probs. That's if the new owners would consider you.

Blair Mayne YNWA

Ha!
If only mate, I'd do the job for nothing n all!
Sure the wife would love me for it too!
If i was the manager i'd firstly give myself a raise :)
Then i'd hire my wife as tea lady (she does it at home already but she might as well get paid for it).
Also she could double as the laundry lady - again same explanation as Tea lady job.
This would just be the start of my tyrant ways!
Mooha ha ha!

Pass and move, that's the Liverpool groove!
Pass & move, pass & move!
Jes man, you gotta start believing!
I always found that if you get the ball with your opponent coming straight at you, turn 180 degrees for a split second to protect the ball then turn sharpish 90 degrees while sprinting then 90 again to get past the defender easily or simply turn 90 - 180 degrees then lay the ball off short to your nearest team mate and eventually you'll find space.
With shooting - only hold down the shoot button for a split second & don't forget to aim in the rough direction you want to shoot (dont jab it - but don't press and hold it either). Hope this helps some bit!

It's not in the shops yet Kev.

But i know somone, who know's someone, who robbed someone.

I'm playing like LFC at the minute mate no confidence, off the pitch issue's (my wife's on my case) and my zonal marking is a disaster.

I'll probably be sacked come Jan and have a new wife.

Fingers Crossed!

Guys whats the point in blaming Roy. Atleast he is quick enough to make decisions. Like throwing out garbage like lucas, jovanovic, babel and maxi from the starting line-up. One more dumbf* k will be cleared by this saturday(poulsen).he'll turn the table around and its just the matter of getting 2-3 results correct & then their confidence will fly high. wat say Ed.? {ed's note - I am not convinced he will get rid of Poulsen, Roy likes to have an out and out holding defensive midfielder.}

27 Sep 2010 23:06:58
Its said that blackpool need to beat teams in and around them, if they want to stay in the premiership. I guess that means they will be gunning for liverpool.lol

We'll find out at the everton vs liverpool game, just how poor liverpool really are. The rose coloured glasses will finally come off. liverpool havn't produced a footballer since the 90's and they can't buy themselves out of trouble. Enjoy the bottom of the league.

Well we will see at the everton vs liverpool game, i reckon everton are going to kick the s* te out that team. Liverpool be bottom within 3 games.

Also Everton played well against manchester utd, you guys are rubbish. I think Everton have a better chance of finishing higher than liverpool.

Hey Ed what would you think of King Kenny stepping into a coaching role in addition to his Director of Football job. I think it is obvious that he has a great eye for footballing talent but it would be nice to have someone with sic a footballing brain helping the young players along more. Maybe first team coach because I honestly cannot see what Sammy Lee adds to the club. And I agree whoever was talking about wanting to see Hansen back in a coaching role a few days ago.
-the anfield rapstar {ed's note - I would prefer to see Roy Evans brought back to the club myself. Evans is a much better coach than Sammy Lee.}

Knobhead! Get real stop for a minute and think what you are saying, if u really think we are relegation fodder u may as well go back to supporting Everton! !

stewart attwell won't be refereeing every lfc game. Torres will pull up injured.

Then what Knobhead!? will u start supporting Everton once liverpool are relegated. Then put out of business by RBS. How times have changed and at least everton have a capable manager and decent players

Like I said KNOBHEAD! Go back to Goodison u muppet!
Correct me if I am wrong but are Everton bottom of the league and 3 points behind us with decent players and alex fergafux love child as manager! Muppet! !

Juan mata is long overdue to come to Liverpool, if not him then i hope Jesus Navas or A.young. But i don't think that's roys type of players. he likes players that suit a middle league team, but maybe in jan he'll prove me wrong.
and, who thinks Mavinga should be given chance in the upcoming match against Utrecht?

Could not agree more ED with your comments. People who have never played the game don't understand how difficult it is to play under a new manager with totally new tactics. Add to this the take over saga, the poor morale left by the previous management and the amazingly difficult start we have had and in reality we could not have expected any more. Only now are we seeing glimpses of a good team forming yet some people are talking nonsense about Roys negetive tactics. Do they think Roy should have gone gun ho and attacked at every opportunity, because if they did then we would have lost a lot even more. Basic football sense means we should work on our shape first then things will start to come together. Be patient and have trust in the players we have got, the biggest loss last year was Alonso, now i believe we have a player that has the same attributes in meirelles. Judge the team at the end of the season.
ED GREAT SITE Whats your thoughts

Evered {ed's note - I agree with most of what you said, except the comparison of Raul and Xabi. I don't think they are the same type of player at all, Raul is much more dynamic and should be a better fit in the EPL, I know I will be glad if he is even half the player Xabi is.}

AFC LIVERPOOL

a real team for supporters, come support us

No thanks,
I'll stick to the real Liverpool FC.
Good luck though in yer development.
I'd like to perform an experiment.
Dont know if its been done on here before?!
Very simple:
If any Liverpool FC player / staff / employee etc comes on here and sees what we say - can you please ask the other players to celebrate in a specific way next time they score a goal. Doesn't matter who scores the goal or who does the celebration. I'd like the five finger salute myself to be the celebration but would welcome any ideas (but needs to be finalised asap). The whole point of this would be that i would like the players to know that we are aware of their efforts to get things right, that we're right behind them & most importantly to let them know that we know the press are on their backs right now and we just want them to play their own game and ignore all the negative press and just believe in themselves. So the five finger salute is what i want with the player counting out 5 - pointing at each individual finger one at a time so we can clearly see it. Probably a bit of a mad idea but they need our support right now more than ever & i'd like them to know they have it.

If liverpool have these many problems puttin the ball in the net and keeping the ball out of the net. what is to come next for liverpool

is relegation possible. if gerrard and torres pull up injured. which is very possible.

relegation - I think Liverpool to start worryin about getting 40 points first. that's all they need to worry about now. where in a relegation scrap

Just my opinion so feel free to disagree, (i'm sure u will), I get the feeling that we are about to click into place, there have been sign's of it in all games this season, in the last 20 mins against Sunderland we strung them up, they couldn't move. This proves we can do it. Just got the feeling that very soon it's all gonna click into place and somebody is gonna get a hiding. . . .oh dear we play Everton soon. Can anybody else see it or have i got sh*t in my eye's. any comment Ed?

Sooty {ed's note - I feel the same, I have seen improvements in every match, tiny little steps, but good signs nonetheless. Hopefully it will click sooner rather than later.}

Think Nando is the key Ed, if he starts scoring again then its a different ball game then. Do you think Stevie and Nando actually have had words or was it just one of those things? {ed's note - I think it is nothing, though I am sure the media will blow it up out of all proportions.}

Still tired of Roys negative press conferences. If he demands more from the players they will give him more. Asking fans to lower expectations? That's the first step to mediocrity. He needs to stop making excuses and get the job done.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I havn't liked what Roy has said either but i think he's maybe trying to be realistic. Our expectations this season and every season is at the very least CL football.

But the state the club is in i.e The sale saga, No money for World Class players and our hard fixtures so far has not helped at all. The start of this season i would've took 4th place and nothing else but i think back to the start of last season and we were 2nd favourite's to win the league, now everything has came to ahead and hopefully we win a few games during the sales process and leave us in a great position (If we get new owners) to buy some World Class players in Jan and hopefully get 4th at the very least.

BUT if my Auntie had balls she'd be my Uncle!

Sooty {ed's note - I don't understand his rep, everything I have heard from him has been completely wrong. But then if you listen to Talksh*te, you can't expect decent unbiased talk really.}

I listen to Hawksbee and Jacobs on there cos there very funny and don't take things too serious. How the F*ck they can employ Collymore is beyond me the tw*t just stands there slagging off people, was having a go at James Corden the other week for wearing an England shirt saying it was his fault we were crap in the world cup. He needs therapy I think along with Saggers and the drunk Parry.

I have been reading this site for some time and cannot believe some so called supporters. Granted we are in a very difficult transitional period with uncertainty all around us. However now is not the time to jump on the doom bus and blame the directors, managers or players. Just a month ago some people on this site were over the moon, optermistic and even bragging we were going to challenge for the league. The intelligent real hard core Liverpool supporter understands the situation we are in, and accepts it for what it really is. They are not calling for the managers head but supporting him. Roys job was always going to be very difficult, we were never going to get Augero, Villa or any other world class player until the sale of the club was complete. The real Liverpool supporters will stand tall and proud and support the manager and the squad (YNWA). I am a supporter of 35 years and have been through the great times and the bad times but have always supported the team, if you watched the match on Saturday you would have realised we are turning a corner and there are signs of a team beginning to form, Meirelles, cole, Gerrard and Torres are beginning to click. Maybe one or two more players and we will start to perform like we can, give Roy the time he needs and I am sure we will be OK. Support the team and don't fall into the trap of fickle fans of the likes of Chelsea and UTD, we have always prided ourselves on supporting the team so all you so called supporters who don't rate Torres, blame Carragher and call for Roys head should go and support Man City (its easier) but all the real Liverpool supporters support the club and the team. I feel passionate about my club and will always support them wherever they play, When the Yanks have gone I will be still standing PROUD in the KOP, watching the team I love, with the memory of a man who fought his whole life for the good of the club.
"Above all, I would like to be remembered as a man who was selfless, who strove and worried so that others could share the glory, and who built up a family of people who could hold their heads up high and say "We're Liverpool. The Late Great Bill Shankley

The annoying person Tony Evans of The Times is on Talksport tonight after 8pm talking about what Mark Saggers (another annoying numpty) called "the growing crisis at Anfield". Throw in Stan Collymore, the co presenter, and expect one big slagging off of Liverpool. Just wait for more apocalyptic 'mutterings' from Evans about the future of Liverpool. {ed's note - so why bother to listen? In fact why bother to even mention Talksh*te at all? I thought marin played amazing against totenham. The defenders couldn't cope with him at all. He dribbled in the same style as messi and benayoun, Where the ball is close to his feet when he dribbles and he twists in and out of players, he has pace, can score outside the box
Well anyway hes better than babel, jovanovic, maxi. So at least it would be an improvement. Quite a big improvement as well
We need two new wingers and a 20 goal a season striker (20mill+ quality),
Harry5

but you won't be getting him though! ! !

man utd
spurs
chelsea
arsenal
and man city are his choices should he come to england, i did wonder why spurs were second but then i read why! klinsmann with his love of spurs has told him to go to white hart lane should he go to england as did steffan fruend AND chritian ziege

LFC lookin at Thomas of WBA especially after his performance against the Arse. Heard from a mate in the Midlands. English, Young and can play on the left. . sounds like John Barnes to me.

is this the same thomas that was shipped out of arsenal AND charlton because he was s* te?? ? sounds like john barnes?? lol you really are clutching at straws the likes of thomas and konchesky ha ha ha ha ha ha mugs

I fail to believe our beloved club has players that are below par compared to the rest of the top clubs in the world. obviously poulsen and maxi do not fit the bill but all other players are good and together could bring out the best of results.
They are very unsettled due to takeover issues, the mess benitez left us in and definately the new blood that needs to blend in which takes a hell lot of time, patience is what is needed which ''fans'' seem to be lacking at the moment.
The plain brilliant players in the club are reina, agger (to some extent), gerrard, meireles (needs a few games), joe cole and torres. The others need to be used very cleverly because they do have abilities e.g BABEL! now i for one am a fan of babel because he a has a sweet right foot and is quite pacy (has a few skills up his sleeves aswell). I believe he should only be used as an impact substitute strictly for right wing/ striker. He has scored some class goals like the one against chelsea.
january transfers: I share the views of the ed on this. We only need 2/ 3(max) in january. left wing and striker is the most important positions.
turan and a top 20+ goal striker would do well for us.
squad: (kelly because johnsons no good at right back)
reina
kelly carra agger konchesky

johnson meireles gerrard jovanovic

joe cole

torres

I've been camped in alder hey hospital all week & ive heard some breaking news following our defeat to northampton. . roy is on his way out. he was set an agenda. . within striking distance of 4th by november or (following possible takeover) he is out. dalglish will step in. sheik mohammed wants hiddink, local consortium want o'neill (bad move) & rafa has get out clause in contract. . apparently chinese takeover wanted rafa. . oct 16th big big date for LFC

So all the movers and shakers from all the consortia supposedly interested have all been having treatment at Alderhay and openly discussing their plans with you?

Ok, poor start. Were down 3 points on last year. Not out of it yet. Plenty of football to play.
We need to regroup and start passing FORWARD!
Play players who can attack at home and play counter attack away. .
Next 5 games play these (barring injury) Settle the team down. Use subs wisely. Its not rocket science.

Away=

Reina
Carra / Scarey / Agger / Konch
lucas
Johnson / Gerrard / Meri / Jano
Nando
Subs, Cole, Ngog, Kuyt

Home=

REINA
CARRA / SCAREY / AGGER / KONCH
KUYT / MERI / GERRARD / BABEL
COLE
TORRES
Subs, Ngog, Johnson, Pacheco

Top 4 still to play for.

I think we all have to realistic about where our club is at at the moment. Thanks to a number of factors such as the Yanks, Benitez spending unwisely and the boardroom rifts our club needs a major rebuilding from top to bottom, on paper we have one of the best backbones to a team in the premiership, I just think we need to realise that it will take time, most likely a few years to rebuild. The Yanks will eventually be gone, no doubt about that. With the right owner, a Massimo Moratti sort of businessman is what I think we need, one who runs the club properly as a profitable business with a understanding of its meaning and history. We are a dormant giant waiting to be awoken again. We will get there eventually, back to we want to be. We have the likes of Kelly, Wilson, Pacheco, Shelvey, Suso all coming through. In a few years they very well could be the core of our team if nurtured properly. Have faith in Roy, he will steady the ship in time. YNWA

Does anyone think we will see Roy revert to 4-4-2 soon. Without a doubt in the Man U and Sunderland game, our tempo and performance improved with the introduction of Ngog as a 2nd forward. It gives Nando more space, the defenders can no longer double up on him if they have to worry about someone else.

For sure we have to play with n'gog and torres upfront. everytime n'gog is on the pitch nando has more space, less defenders around him and is again the best striker. two years ago stevie g was there. Now when nando is alone all the defenders are around him and there is nobody passing, scoring and so on. I think we shoud switch and play 4-3-3 - nando, kyut and n'gog, but even 4-4-2 is better than our system now.

Agree ed. It was always going to be difficult this season, especially up to Christmas. Hodgson knew this when he came to the club. But he always wanted to manage Liverpool. He realised that he was only a short term appointment (his contract is 2 years and easy to mutually rip up). I believe he is decent man and we need to get behind him and the team in the short term, because there are many other pressing issues affecting the club in the next 2-3 weeks.

During the sunderland game gerrard, meireles poulsen and cole were all interchanging or maybe just wondering about. personally i think cole had a good game, lots of people have called him a mercenary but i say arent most footballers. meireles allowed himself to be bullied by that little t* t cattermole, gerrard certinaly didn't have that problem, he's 10 times the player he will ever be. in january a stricker is the number priority, theres no point having wingers crossing to just torres. and please when the transfer window comes around don't every1 slate the players we are linked with, if we did buy carlton cole last time would we be doing any worse no.

always a red

To everyone saying we should beat this team and beat that team, bulls* t. from what i've watched of the premier league so far it seems lower teams are alot better this season fact. west brom going to arsenal and winning the game 3-2 at the emirates after being 3 up for alot of the game. none of our results have been that bad. sunderland beat man city who beat us 3-0. it was a home game for sunderland but alot of people would have bet on man city tearing them apart. this season is tight and i don't think its fair blaming the team just yet. . or hodgson for that matter. in saying that i do agree with alot of you that johnson should be pushed up to RM/ W but that's all I can say about the team so early in the season. lets be patient. . theres still spirit in the team i.e. when gerard scored his header on saturday. things will pick up, they have to, were liverpool. your thoughts (if any) ED? YNWA
LfordRed {ed's note - I think Roy needs time to get the team playing the way he wants them to play. Once the confidence comes back we will play a lot better, if the crowd can get behind the team a bit more that will help too. It is time to prove how good the Liverpool fans are by cheering on the team louder when things are going against us. Just like at half time in Istanbul, this is when the team needs our help and when we can make a real difference to them.}

A note to all on the back of the team for our poor start.
We have had the toughest start of any of the top 4- to state the obvious - and last season MUFC SH*te had drawn to Birmingham & Sunderland and by october had suffered losses to us & burnley which puts them in a similar place to us. A couple of wins starting with Blackpool will keep the critcics quiet. What do you think ed?

There is some truth to the oprah winfrey ownership rumour this came from someone hearing that we were linked with a chat show host but it is in fact TRISHA GODDARD apparantly she loves the club and is very interested in a new 90,000 seater stadium she will name Trisha's boogle boogle bumbasquat areana. Couple this with her threat that any underperforming players will be forced onto her tonk channel 5 show (babel and ngog beware) I think this could be a smart move for LFC.

Well this in an own opinion, ,
looking through e current situation it seems we are going no where. we struggle to win against brhgm city, sunderland. this is not lfc's playing style. lack of chemistry among players. lack of attacks, creativity. missed players like benoyoun. he was a kind who use to turn the game more interesting with his classy work. the midfield anchors r not there as well.if gerard plays as 2nd striker, the strikers will be having trouble getting in passes and crosses from middle of table. we seen gerard palying up n down this whole season, if this continues he might just be too tired or even get injured. r. meireless (spelling) is trying to adjust hmself into the team, but needs time. i hope this is not a last minute signing tat will turn like aqua.
looking to torres, i feel it's better to let him go, not coz he's not scoring or lack of passe, but coz we need goals to win. we may use tat money to buy new players, but option should only apply if we cannot get a new owner n if it gone be for 60-70mil.
btw about johnson, i feel he sholud play as rw compare to rb, he's lack in defence, but good in attack.

players we need to buy without any fund should be:
honda: 12-16mil
arbeloa (rb/ lb) 5mil
toivonon/ gomez/ benzema 15mil

sell players like
lucas 6mil
babel 8-10mil
maxi 4 mil
n if we had 15mil from e last season sale, we will have totall of 35mil to spend.

e squad should look like:
4-2-3-1
reina
arbeloa carragher agger konchesky
gerard meireles
johnson honda j.cole/ kuyt(prefered)
torres/ new strker (till torres is back to his form)

or
reina
johnson carra agger arbeloa
gerrad meireless
kuyt honda j.cole
torres/ new striker

coz konchesky stil looks poor.
if can have pre-agreement wit taiwo so he can come free next season n tat way arbeloa will play as rb, n taiwo as lb while johnson as rw.

but if there is a sale of club
buy all of the above again sell all e same n also sell
jovanovic 2-5mil
poulsen 2-5mil

so tat will add i another lets say 6mil.
we will be holding around 40mil from sale
n from owners depends. (if buy ann player whic is important n logical price)

get
lassana diara 20mil
honda 14-16mil
benzema/ toinovon 15mil
taiwo 7mil
arda turan 14mil
arbeloa 5-7mil

next season
sell johnson (15mil) dependind how arbeloa perfoms as rb.
get ashley young (25ml)
n later on depends on e ownner.

dharamjit randhawa is no friend of any liverpool football club staff, don't hang around any ftball players or any1 around hearing rumoursfrom other, . it just a personal view from him, , i hope atleast e 1st few changes happens as above list without e new owner, , so we can get atleast get back to top 4.

YNWA. hope to see we rise again. RABH RAKHA

I was told of a friend of mine who has the electrical contract ay liverpool both anfield and melwood that roy didn't even pick the team for the carling cup and it was the sports scientist/ phisio who actually did . roy was reportedly heard screaming and kicking furniture in his office saying it was his team. and when you think about it he only got out of his seat once on wed night maybe it is true. apparently h an g have put their foot down about roy pubilcly saying we need to sell the club and putting the two rats down in pulic WHAT DO YOU THINK

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
This is almost correct. It was actually Gladys the tea lady and Sid the new ticket collector that picked the team and set the strategy. Apparently they've been doing quite well in Championship Manager and beat Man Utd 7-0 last week.

Tom Hicks; every team he touches turns to rubbish.

Hicks bought his first team, the Dallas Stars, in 1995 for $82 million. It's still a very valuable franchise because of the lease deal it has on the American Airlines Center, the television contract and its history of consistently producing revenue. They even managed a Stanley Cup in 1999. But the team has gone to garbage. The team's payroll is in the bottom five amongst NHL team and team's record shows it. Attendance is slumping and the team, like many others belonging to Hicks, is up for sale. Hicks also partnered with Corinthians of Brazil. He promised them a new stadium. The fans are still waiting.

But the most telling of Hicks' franchises is the Texas Rangers. First off, he's completely bungled the team's ownership and sale. He's facing several lawsuits right now and he's generally hated in Texas as well. But a closer look at his ownership of the Rangers provides insight into what Hicks wanted to do with the Rangers. He wanted to sabotage the team in order to get rich.

Major League Baseball is somewhat like European soccer because the success of the club is usually directly related to how much the team's ownership is willing to spend. The trade deadline is late in the year and since very few teams make the playoffs, lower teams will unload talented players with big contracts for next to nothing. It's all to improve the team's bottom line at the end of the year. Why pay an expensive player when you know you're not making the playoffs. Also, since there is no salary cap, teams can offer huge contracts to free agents. That's how Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees managed to land a 10-year, US$252 million contract. At one point, Alex Rodriguez used to play for the Rangers. At that time, he was one of the most dominant players in baseball, however polarizing, and he continues to be.

So why would Hicks let Rodriguez walk? It comes back to a policy that MLB has called 'revenue sharing.' It can get kind of complicated, but the long and short of it is that teams can often make more money by keeping their payroll low and taking the money from the revenue sharing within MLB. This means letting good players-like Rodriguez-go can often make more financial sense.

It's the ultimate move in fan betrayal. You let the fans suffer for financial gain by keeping your payroll low and your team low on talent. Last year, the Texas Rangers had the fourth-lowest payroll at around US$55 million. In contrast, the Yankees, last year's World Champions, spent $206 million.

You can bet that Hicks saw plenty of money from revenue sharing during his time as an owner of the Rangers. He purposefully undercut his team's ability to win in order to make money.

This is not the man that should have sole ownership of Liverpool FC. He has failed in every single venture he's made into sports and, with the Rangers and Stars up for sale, he's making a last-ditch push with Liverpool. He's going to try to drain every last dollar out of it that he can. That will likely include funds from the sales of Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina and whatever other valuable asset the team has.

We hope Liverpool board block the sale of Gillett's shares to Hicks. If not, we'll long for the days when Gillett and Hicks ran the club together.
