Use our rumours form to send us liverpool transfer rumours.

27 Jan 2018 23:31:34
wonder who our manager will be next year after klopp leaves for munich? why in the world would he stay? it's obvious that this team does not have what it takes for top 4. Porto will knock us out of champions league. spurs and arsenal will pass us up. our backline and midfield are horrendous.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Munich have another in mind.}

28 Jan 2018 00:15:43
And Klopp is not responsible for that "horrendous" backline and midfield?

28 Jan 2018 00:25:16
Managers are wanted based on success. Why would Munich want Klopp, if after over spending on certain players ( as Ed002 alluded to, thou not Klopps fault) and being backed 100% by FSG.

I’m spending a good chuck of my boss’s money and if it fails, I’m left to take the blame and rightly so.

28 Jan 2018 00:40:19
Oh my word people, all this negativity what a load of rubbish. 2 weeks ago we were invincible and now everyone is saying all kinds. We got beat by a better team tonight get over it.

28 Jan 2018 01:27:06
Has he failed yet dub? I would have thought our primary objective was minimum top 4 again and a good run in the champions league- on course for both of those. Or would you rather have wenger who can win and FA cup ; is regressing in the league and hasn’t had a good run in the CL for over 10 years?

28 Jan 2018 01:52:20
We got beat by a team who's manager had a plan that was well executed. Not the first time he's done it at anfield.

They're not a better team but they deserved their win because they were better prepared than we were.

28 Jan 2018 02:13:52
West Brom are not a better team. That's the problem!

27 Jan 2018 23:23:51
Let’s all take a breath and calm down. Yes it was not the best result, however we can not be greedy and win every game. We'll just have to settle for the champions league this season.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

27 Jan 2018 23:02:05
I, like im sure the rest of you are super dissapointed with the result. Especially on the back of the Swansea game. But some of the comments are ridiculous.

Not TAA best game at all, but don't be too harsh on the lad, definitely a lot more at fault. It shouldn't have been so easy for WBA to walk through the MF.

TAA is a promising player and a born and bred scouser, wants to play for us. Far from the finished article. Could have done better but he will sit back and try and learn from this. Everyone is frustrated at the loss. But I gets tiring seeing so much hatred and negativity towards players sometimes. We were shocking but sometimes players on the pitch aren't finished articles yet. Doesn't help any defenders when it is that easy to walk through out MF, so the first problem lies there, then you can look at the defence. plus Migs didn't have a good game at all.
T

Given how well we were playing this season we have it in us to beat teams like swansea who sit back and we could have won tonight if we played better. But no point losing yout sh*t. Some of the remarks directed at Klopp tonight. he got it wrong, He should have started Hendo in hindsight, easy to say, when he came on he steadied things. But to start saying you want to have him sacked, I think the club has moved forwards since he has taken over. Given some chances to some of the younger lads but he's made mistakes, Like personally would have rather not bought the Ox and given Woodburn some game time, but that's like.

Also we know we tried to sign some players in Jan but sometimes footy doesn't work like that. We went in for Lemar and pretty confident after looking at what macca said we enquired about Griezman? But those moves didn't happen. But really no use just hurling abuse out because we couldn't get a solid replacement for couts. I'd rather not panic buy and waste money. Even if we had a happy couts on the pitch today i don't think we would have won.

The owners have expanded the stadium, given trust in the manager. I like Klopp, i like the football we play and a lot of the time it works. So long as we try and improve what we need to. we lack organisation in the middle. Hendo does stable that a bit. Was clear when he came on. But realistically if half of you go what you wanted, and he got the sack, who would we get in?

Keeper needs addressing in summer, no secret, or even give Ward a run in, lad should get a chance.

I like Can but tonight he looked like his head was already in Italy.

The players need to look at themselves after tonight's performance. But also i don't want to get too negative about everything. We can't win every game, it's frustrating and upsetting to lose but no point just start hurling abuse and asking for Klopp to be sacked and all this nonsense. I'm dissapointed that we played so poorly but that's that, the game is over. The window is coming to a close and most likely no one is coming in. So I'd rather try and get behind the team and push on and make the most of the remaining games.

on a plus side i like the addition of VAR. Gutted we hit the bar :c but it did it's job!

YNWA.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

27 Jan 2018 23:09:30
What did you like about VAR? The wrong decisions or the slowing of play?

{Ed002's Note - That is not the real issue - creating a precedent is.}

27 Jan 2018 23:36:57
The trick is to not get too up or too down whether we win lose or draw. However, results like this grate especially after the season we had after losing to city and then going on a fantastic unbeaten run.

I fear for the porto game, too many players resting on their laurels and leaving it up to others to perform. Can has been inconsistent all season, choosing when to show up to games, wijnaldum has been plain awful bar the city game a few weeks ago and putting a non effectual like the ox next to them was a recipe for disaster. Thing is, you would have thought klopp would have learned his lesson from the swansea game.

With lallana out there is zero creativity in that midfield and the way the defence is playing we will be lucky if porto don't put the tie right out our reach in the first leg.

What a time for klopp to decide to gamble again and not bring in anyone to replace couts in this window. Its a pity, the season was looking promising up to Christmas until we sold our most creative player.

27 Jan 2018 23:52:34
I like the football klopp plays and we are exciting and entertaining to watch. i hate joses football and his arrogance but he knows how to win games and more importantly see out matches. now i don't want him anywhere near our club but i want a manager who tactically wins us matches and doesn't just rely on the brilliance of individual players. he has yet to make a substitution where i remember thinking wow that was a game changer. he is defensively naive and thinks you score 2 we score 3. and before people jump down my neck i. am along way from kloppout but jesus its so. hard being a loverpool player as its the hope that kills. just when u think we have are on the way to something special swanseas and west broms of this world come along and bang depression.

28 Jan 2018 00:05:46
I understand the need to create a precedent going forward, Ed. But is it possible? Is it compatible with football? I'm not so sure.

Be interesting to see how it goes.

{Ed002's Note - well clubs and players will be drawing virtual rectangles after every forward walks in front of a goalkeeper.}

28 Jan 2018 00:44:05
I must admit I didn't like the players calling for it, as if that gets worse, football could turn into a mockery and be so stop start, it'll be worse than American Football!

{Ed002's Note - Nothing can be that bad.}

28 Jan 2018 02:10:05
I most be the only one who thinks VAR is good for the game. I don't care waiting 2 minutes. The correct decisions should be made that way we have nothing to complain about. Its also a good indication of which refs are rubbish and which are decent.

27 Jan 2018 19:22:01
Do any of the Eds or fellow reds have any info on why Lemar has been left out of the Monaco squad?
Klopp also mentioned in the last 24 hours that one or two of the players he wants in the summer could come now, I believe he's probably referring to Keita and Lemar as they have been our main targets that have proved somewhat problematic in trying to sign.
Is it possible that 2+2=4 in this instance and we are possibly trying to sort the Lemar deal out now or is it just an unrelated coincidence? Cheers.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - He has a leg spassm/bruise/ache or whatever.}

27 Jan 2018 23:40:23
Lemar won't fix the lack of tracking back, tackling or protection of the back four from our midfield.

Can should have been sold and replaced, his head is clearly elsewhere. Wijnaldum just needs a rest and a refocus.

27 Jan 2018 23:50:33
Leg ache?
Ouch! That takes me back to when I was four.
Can't Lemar play up on his dad's shoulders.

28 Jan 2018 01:53:39
Twisted sock I heard.

27 Jan 2018 22:52:56
On the plus side barring injuries that is the last time we will see Mignolet in a Liverpool shirt.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - What about the Champions League games?}

27 Jan 2018 22:59:56
What about the under 23's?

27 Jan 2018 23:02:05
Are you serious? I thought he was keeping Karius for them. Ah well it was a good thought for all of the hour and a half it lasted. lol.

27 Jan 2018 23:10:18
It would seem that Migs is now our cup keeper, that being the Champions League.

27 Jan 2018 23:20:37
Should never wear the shirt again in my opinion.

28 Jan 2018 01:00:33
Cup keeper?

More like mug keeper, lol.

28 Jan 2018 08:28:08
Yer to give Karius a rest because being goal keeper is so tiring we need rotation for rotation sake.

27 Jan 2018 22:31:40
More minutes for Danny Ings please.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

27 Jan 2018 23:41:48
Showed good effort when he came on but he lacks quality sadly. Bobby needs a rest though so its a good shout.

28 Jan 2018 00:01:58
We only see Ings when we're losing, see Ings when we're losing.

28 Jan 2018 02:17:15
See Ings when we're losing, pass it on.

27 Jan 2018 22:27:34
What a week, beat the leaders and then lose to the bottom and second from bottom teams in the league what a load of boll@@@@, with January ending on Wednesday let's hope that's the end of the January blip and it don't carry through to Tuesday but it was just not good enough tonight and i didn't even see their first until the replay as bt where showing Firminios goal in a replay, what's Gini thinking off its beyond me. The second Can should just take the player down at the half way line take a yellow for the team but two niggles to try and smartly knick the ball away and the third ill just put down to Moreno day dreaming again (their goals are bit of a blur for me) . got a few things to say about the players, so might as well have a say about them all (sorry about this)

Migonlet: again showed why he should never be our #1 apart from being stationary on his line most of the game for their crosses the one thing that sticks out for me was the goal from the corner that was rightfully disallowed, just after its it i plainly heard a shout of Simon maybe im hearing things but i wasnt the only one in the house that heard it then the camera angle pans out and he's stuck behind Barry, if you call the ball go out win the ball and go through the forward not everything has to be half hearted and the slightest impediment stops you

Arnold: Love this kid but this was his worst performance in a red shirt, the one advantage he normally has over Gomez and Clyne is his crossing and decisions to make that cross on the move and earlier than them both but tonight it wasnt there final ball was a disaster actually he cut back onto his left more times than not whether brunt intimidated him or not i don't know needs to shrug it off and get back to what he does best

Virgil: as he's bedding in from now to the eos he would normally get a bye ball, but actually didn't do much wrong some small mistakes some good blocks was not at fault for any of the goals in my opinion

Matip: again not at fault for any goals but needs to be stronger and when playing against a deep team him and virgil need to be more proactive with the ball

Moreno: what to say it was the moreno from last year some good movement going forward final ball a bit iffy and in my opinion at fault for the third and maybe should have even picked up rodriguez for the second. return from injury return to old habits

Can: as a Can fan i just have to admit it he looks half interested i've said above he's at fault for the second wouldn't complain about him being subbed could have came sooner

Wjinaldum: definitely his fault for the first goal no matter what happens next his decision making at times is up there with the three stooges absolute comedic chaos

Chamberlain: thought after the city game we had a player but was totally anonymous tonight, was he still frustrated from Monday don't know needs to get back t the city form as the jury is still out but i think there is a player there

Mane: I know people say he is in form, he's scoring but i see a guy totally bereft of confidence i can't remember when i last seen him take a right back and leave him standing as i said i think its a confidence thing and maybe Salah arriving as he has and the losing the African player of year to him to has dented his confidence

Firminio: great goal fluffed the penalty although most days it hits the underside like it did and goes in, thought hegazzi could have seen red for the tackle on him its really was a shocker goat man handled by the big brawny centerbacks and kept going back for more was the best of a bad lot tonight

Salah: as usual had his obligatory chances neat finish for his goal but id like to see him start a lot wider so he can run at the defence more think he's starting a bit too narrow up against the center backs up there with Bobby for best their tonight for us

Substitues
Henderson gets a bye ball just back from layoff but looked ok but still needs more urgency in his game, Milner, what to say energy misdirected at times gives his all just wish he was on t o hit the penalty. Ings, energetic and always tries but i would have preferred to have solanke in there for the physicality. all in all the subs where given time to affect the game and they did they gave us a glimmer of hope, but to be honest we could have used 7 subs in that gane we needed them with some off the performances

sorry for the blowout.

Believable3 Unbelievable6

27 Jan 2018 23:00:31
Matip not at fault for any of the goals? What match were you watching?

27 Jan 2018 23:18:38
Matip like bambi on Ice. Do you summarise for sky mate? Garbage defender.

27 Jan 2018 23:24:49
in know what your saying about the one he could have cleared but for me the fault or faults for that goal happen before it if you nip these mistakes at the start of the move the fluffed clearnace/ owngoal don't occur.

27 Jan 2018 23:45:12
Why are we not exploiting the space given to us on the wings, salah and mane are wingers, let them do their main job if they are offering nothing down the middle instead of constantly leaving it to the fullbacks.

Klopp shows no tactical nous sometimes, should have gone 442 and put on another striker alongside bobby.

27 Jan 2018 22:22:11
EDs, could you possibly put this up so that Benny Baller, in particular, can see it.

I want to apologise for my behaviour on chat, I turned things personal, and directed a number of insults towards Benny. I was out of line, frustrated and angry about the result, the performance and everything that happened in those last 90 minutes.

Disagrements are to be expected, but personal insults have no place in any sort of conversation. So I would like to offer my apologies, I have calmed down and realise I was out of line and instigator in much that transpired in chat.

Thank you in advance if you are able to accomplish this. All the best.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Good for you Mango and I am sure Benny will appreciate it.}

27 Jan 2018 22:40:18
Hopefully Benny sees this. I feel like a real rubbish for letting this all get to me. Didn't want Benny to dwell on it or be affected by this in anyway. I will try to rein in my emotions in future. I do not want to be the kind of fan that takes shots at other fans, or questions their loyalty, intelligence etc. It is pathetic, I was pathetic. Only right I apologise.

{Ed002's Note - It is a great gesture and I know that fans get upset all too easily. That is why we have the disposable Other Page as a dump for the emotional posts on match days.}

27 Jan 2018 22:43:41
I've said it before that live chat is like a scene from a whiskey bar in a western sometimes. Can be pretty crazy.

{Ed002's Note - Do you really mean “whiskey” and not “whisky”?}

27 Jan 2018 22:47:35
I don't know what you said but things get said in the heat of the moment. I wish some others on here would follow your example.

Having read some of Benny's posts I think all will be good.

{Ed002's Note - I’ll translate that last sentence for you. “Having read Benny’s posts it is clear he is another knuckle dragging bonehead as well - he’ll understand.}

27 Jan 2018 22:49:06
Take's a bigger man to put his hand's up Mango so fair play.

27 Jan 2018 23:01:21
Mango get a dog and when you loose the rag go for
A long walk takes the edge off haha.

27 Jan 2018 23:14:03
Lol Ed002 some of the stuff on tap in there could well be whisky.

27 Jan 2018 23:20:37
Mango you're a good lad and so is Benny. I'm sure it is water off a ducks back and I look forward to hearing both your opinions again come the next chat.

27 Jan 2018 23:38:10
Irish whiskey ed002. Non of that rodeo crap lol 😂.

{Ed002's Note - we have a lot of posters from the land of the bog and the little people.}

27 Jan 2018 23:46:33
Im sure benny will forgive you mango, top man for apologising.

27 Jan 2018 23:54:37
lmfao 'knuckle dragging bonehead' hahaha!

Good on you mate, I'm sure there's no hard feelings mango.

28 Jan 2018 00:09:31
Don't mention the little people Ed. darby gill (Albert Sharpe) was my mother's next door neighbour growing up in Belfast before all the madness.

28 Jan 2018 01:14:02
I never saw the issue, but still takes a decent person to apologise when they knew they were in the wrong, so well done on that, wish more people did it.

27 Jan 2018 22:10:05
Before we all get carried away, we're just not that good apart from our front three. And one of them, Mane, is out of form. The best team won. Well done, the Albion.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

27 Jan 2018 22:15:36
Yeah hats off to Albion.

First Rodriguez goal was a great finish as was Firmino's.

We were woeful all over the pitch for 70 plus minutes though, gutless!

27 Jan 2018 22:18:12
that is all true Rigsby.

I am waiting for the tree huggers on here to tell us how great we are.

27 Jan 2018 22:19:49
Rodriguez looking like back to his best, played as did West Brom. Fully deserved victory for a well organised side. Losing Jonny Evans is massive for them.

27 Jan 2018 22:20:00
We need to turn this around sooner rather than later. 18 games unbeaten will mean sweet fa if we now go on last Jan-mar form.

27 Jan 2018 22:24:06
Pitifully inept midfield and Mignolet once again conceded more shots than he saved.

27 Jan 2018 23:47:23
We deserved nothing from that game, just like the swansea game.

27 Jan 2018 23:56:24
Midfield failed us again. But let’s be patient as much of the fan base tell us.

27 Jan 2018 21:46:43
Ah well, more focus on the PL and CL IMO. Silverware would’ve been nice though! Still, YNWA.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

27 Jan 2018 21:55:33
The FAC is important. Do not understate it’s inportance and he importance of back to back defeats. Doesn’t get shrugged that easily.
Losing the way we did today and the lack of quality in performance is telling. We should be paying better than that come on. Midfield in poor and mane was poor again.

27 Jan 2018 22:00:05
Yeah.

Good luck with that. I have more chance of marrying Emma Watson than Liverpool have of winning a trophy in the next 5 years.

27 Jan 2018 22:02:50
You’re more zen than me, UBMR, Fuming after that performance. What other team in world football can be so amazing one game and so awful the next!?! Don’t think I’ll get to “oh well” for a while yet.

27 Jan 2018 22:05:00
We played more or less our best team.

27 Jan 2018 22:07:41
Agree if we put out a strong team like that it just shows we weren’t good enough. Midfield and defence were awful. The worst game I’ve seen TAA play for us and Moreno back to his old self. Matip and VVD poor too. The midfield 3 were a polar opposite of the City game and Mane again poor. Would like to see a change in formation with these struggles may offer more cover for the defence if we switch to 4-4-2, or even a 3-5-2. And finally why or why when the game isn’t going our way why does klopp take so long to make changes!

27 Jan 2018 22:09:37
When does Klopp's position come under scrutiny? Our midfield is non existent, our defence is still shockingly poor and our goalkeepers are embarrassing.

27 Jan 2018 22:09:48
Next year will be our year ( as always)

{Ed002's Note - My understanding is next year is due to be a year of transition.}

27 Jan 2018 22:10:35
Here we go.

27 Jan 2018 22:11:54
If we want to win trophies then we need a manager who wants to win trophies something Klopp hasn't shown since the Europa League defeat.

27 Jan 2018 22:02:48
That is a great attitude pal this club was built on winning trophies and you give o well we can go for champs league and fourth place obviously a child. Read the history of this great club son getting knocked out is not the issue the performance is the issue and that performance and the Swansea performance is not good enough from the manager and the players of LFC if your happy with that then get back to your play station or x box.

27 Jan 2018 22:12:39
Mane has been poor for a while now since return from injury but since he had a go at Klopp for putting him on with a few minutes to go he has been picked when he was not fit enough or good enough . Mo needs to move away from the right side he is being marked by two men all the time ( can't Klopp or his cronies see that ) put him in mane place and try Mane on right . Time to put jo-gomez along side VVD and TAA and robo as full backs bring in a keeper a defensive midfielder to go with Kieta and a natural goal scorer but surly Klopp will no that . Wont he?

27 Jan 2018 22:17:56
I have just been reading comments on the 'This is Anfield' page via Facebook.
Disturbing.
There are a lot of unhappy supporters out there. They are very unimpressed by Klopp.

News reports of the team being booed off. The season is beginning to unravel. Losing can become a habit, just like winning.
Liverpool are not winners.
Another poor goalkeeping performance. Lack of creativity in midfield. Mane is running on three cylinders.
I don't foresee a new goalkeeper or Coutinho replacement.
Real Madrid are unsettling Salah.
If important decisions are not made soon. The season is finished.

{Ed002's Note - A lot of these seem irrational reactions to losing a game. I suggest you go back to Facebook to tell them to suck it up and move on.}

27 Jan 2018 22:18:22
I think its been a transition club since 1990 and will continue that way.

27 Jan 2018 22:21:02
Who’s Emma Watson 🤔.

27 Jan 2018 22:22:55
You make me laugh ed002. One of the best wind up merchants in the business. You know how to push the buttons. This time the defeat was so obvious that I can't do anything but have another drink.

Cheers Ed.

28 Jan 2018 00:03:50
Ed002.

I was surprised by the unanimous reaction. There were a lot of them. Facebook is just an outlet. The origin is 'This is Anfield'.
I cannot agree it is a reaction to losing one game. The reactions appear to have built up over time.
I hope the last two performances were just a temporary problem.
They did come in critical matches.
The goalkeeper and defence are still issues.
I was shocked at the response by 'This is Anfield'.
I just hope they are just being negative and are wrong?

{Ed002's Note - I obviously know nothing of This Is Anfield or their Facebook page. The issue is the overtly emotional responses every time the side fails to win. It is widespread if this site is to go by Yuri. We have had the manic outpouring, we have numerous Eds weeping in the background and yet again all of the Kleenex are gone (not for the usual reason). The morning (or mourning) will be calmer.}

27 Jan 2018 20:11:36
If Mo "Salad" ever got cut by a challenge would he get a dressing?

Believable3 Unbelievable5

27 Jan 2018 20:30:11
Another day? What is happening to our defence?

27 Jan 2018 20:40:53
They're being left to fend for themselves by central midfield players in my opinion.
Pathetic!

27 Jan 2018 20:43:38
What defence?

27 Jan 2018 20:50:30
The defence is in shambles, let's hope the boys can lift there performance because this is painful to watch.

27 Jan 2018 20:54:05
Imagine if our midfield tracked runners. Emre Can twice just let’s their player run for goals. Wij losing the ball and not getting back. Ox? Where is he? He’s not tracking runners either our defence is being swamped because wba have surprised klopp. He expected the wba we played a month ago but we’re playing against a team that’s playing so differently actually going and attacking and none of our players realised that they need to react tactically in game.

27 Jan 2018 21:05:22
To all those who have been calling for Arnold at right back have a word with yourselves he's having a mare.

27 Jan 2018 21:27:47
Truth hurts c'mon fella. You can't just single one guy out. As bad of a game he's having there are worse. He.

27 Jan 2018 21:45:56
Listen you take the plaudits when you play well take the criticism when your poor an Arnold was very poor indeed tonight.

27 Jan 2018 21:48:58
Exactly twinkletoes. Win as a team loose as a team. and today there were no player that had a good game.

27 Jan 2018 21:49:55
Any of you that's actually played the game you must see we have no protection in midfield.

27 Jan 2018 21:58:44
Omg Moreno is so poor robertson why was he dropped. can and gino were awful in the middle. Can is dishearted he has got his mind playing for juve.

27 Jan 2018 22:00:12
Truth hurts totally agree mate with your reply but I can't pick out any player tonight that stood out playing well. Played crap mate take your pick.

27 Jan 2018 22:00:27
Moreno badly out of position for third goal and can make case he let his man in front of him for second goal too. Both cases Can at fault too imo. It seems he’s told Mignolet his times up so why not give Ward a game. The third and disallowed goal was an utter shambles across the board.

27 Jan 2018 22:03:39
I said at the start of the season how poor our central midfielders are and I was shot down in flames we are now worse and just been done over by 37 year old Gareth Barry.

27 Jan 2018 22:25:40
Been saying all season and pre season how weak we are in midfield. We have money to change that, yet are fiddling while Rome burns.

27 Jan 2018 23:39:41
I really hate initial responses after a loss an I'm as quilty as the next person but I have to say that is two games played now with that midfield an twice they have looked absolutely incapable of running a game and been beaten. Wake up klopp an get it sorted.

28 Jan 2018 12:36:33
Mr Dennis, you've complained about everything since pre-season mate, so you were bound to get something right unless we won the league and all the cups. so well done little buddy :)

27 Jan 2018 19:16:59
I know it's still a bit off but I was wondering if Liverpool made it to the semi final of the FA cup and were drawn against Spurs, would the game still take place at Wembley which would surely be a unfair advantage to Spurs? Just wondering what the Ed's think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It would be moved.}

27 Jan 2018 19:40:55
Would it actually? Id rather it be played at Wembley, more of a day out - equal fan allocation too.

27 Jan 2018 19:59:11
Cardiff?

27 Jan 2018 20:14:04
Semi final lol🙈 Not the way we defend, worse I've seen in a long time watching Liverpool.

27 Jan 2018 20:34:02
You are right. Our defence is beyond words. shocking that Klopp is unable to fix it. Oh Liverpool! We need Devine help. Klopp is not the coach for us! I am sorry. It’s clear that Matip is useless but keeps on fielding him.

27 Jan 2018 21:02:57
AA has been a liability today.

27 Jan 2018 21:11:14
Maybe it's time for midfield for Alexander Arnold.

27 Jan 2018 21:16:04
Semi final?! 😂😂😂😂.

27 Jan 2018 21:47:27
Another bad day. Should we continue to be patient with Klopp? That’s a question all Fans of Liverpool should now start asking themselves. Pls it’s time to stop deluding ourselves.

27 Jan 2018 21:53:22
How is Wembley an advantage?

27 Jan 2018 22:01:20
Hailstones, couldn’t be as bad as Wiji, worth a shot.

27 Jan 2018 22:11:06
Get a grip Rafa!
First home loss in 9 months, wow!

27 Jan 2018 22:11:34
I think Liverpool fans have to be honest with themselves and stop hibernating in dreams. It’s a simple question.

Would another coach had won this match with the same players on the field?

If the answer is yes then we are obviously facing a tactical issue. It’s as simple as that. I seriously think this is precisely the question that the Liverpool leadership will be asking themselves this evening.

I also think that the leadership have acceded to much powers to Klopp. His word is final. Wise old men always maintain that “power corrupts absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The vulture is a patient bird but it strikes when least expected! Time to reflect on Mr Klopp’s tenure and ask difficult and uncomfortable questions. Disappointed fan!

28 Jan 2018 14:04:33
We are currently 4th in the league and any other season would be right in the title chase so I think it’s time for a bit of perspective. We are not the team from the 80s and 90s who swept all before them. We are currently one of the top 6 teams in the premiership who on there day can beat anybody but on a off day can lose to anybody. Yes our defence was very poor again but these things happen in football. Who would have thought Man City would concede 4 against us. I can’t see us getting a better manager than Klopp who can improve us beyond where we have been performing. We will hopefully sort out are goalkeeping situation in the summer, until then get behind the team and manager.

27 Jan 2018 18:42:01
Good evening Eds,

Is it possible to put a thumbs up/ thumbs down for Eds' notes? there have been posts that are terrible, but the Eds have replied with views that I support. I don't want to give credit to the original poster with a thumbs up.

Thanks.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - No Collin. It would be better to scratch all of that childish rubbish.}

27 Jan 2018 18:49:51
there should be only a thumbs up for eds, seriously.

27 Jan 2018 19:04:17
Thanks for the response.

27 Jan 2018 19:39:43
It's a good option to have. Leave it be for me. Not everyone can be arsed to post so at least you can sort of contribute. 👌✌️⚽️.

27 Jan 2018 22:02:20
Agree Ed02, the thumbs up and down only plays into the trolls hands (forgive the pun)

27 Jan 2018 18:32:45
Strong side fielded tonight, would be very disappointed if we don't get the job done especially as we're at Anfield. Last thing we need is a replay.

27 Jan 2018 18:53:48
You can't put a thumb down when you don't know what the original message was, ed censoring things they don't like, that's the basis of comunisuim.

{Ed002's Note - You are an embarrassing laughing stock, just like those Comunisists.}

27 Jan 2018 19:19:16
I mean if you think that the basis of 'comunisuim' is purely censorship id say Ed002 probably did you a favour in not letting you embarrass yourself.

{Ed002's Note - I understand comunisuim covers censorship and little biscuits with a decent slug of red wine AW.}

27 Jan 2018 19:32:42
I bloody love your choice of words Ed2, epic.

27 Jan 2018 20:49:57
🤣comunisists. cracking that ed2🤣.

27 Jan 2018 15:00:56
Eds, I'm not sure if you can but I'll ask. I have 2 tickets for tonight's game vs wba, tickets are in new stand and jus want what I paid for them £30 for the pair if anyone can collect from near mine then hopefully can sort out. I'll send my number or email if anyone interested.
Thanks

27 Jan 2018 17:53:24
Sorry sonofklopp, tickets gone mate. Was waiting for reply on here but couldn't leave it too late as didn't want them to jus not get used so gone buddy.

27 Jan 2018 18:01:36
No problem mate, I’d always be interested if they come up again. Cheers KJ.

27 Jan 2018 18:10:47
Good man KJ. Proper red.

27 Jan 2018 19:29:57
Great use of the forum!
Hate seeing empty seats, except on me sofa :)

27 Jan 2018 19:22:48
Me and me lad get them all the time and sometimes circumstances mean either he can't go or like today we both can't go so I like to jus see if any true reds want to catch a game instead of selling on for highest price. I've been with someone here previously I think he might have been johnbarnesleftpeg come to the United game with me this season so jus like to giv reds a chance to watch em in action.

27 Jan 2018 22:13:12
Good man KJ.
Stand up bloke.

27 Jan 2018 11:34:42
Hi Ed's

We've had a few links with Lucas Moura from PSG again this window, which I imagine will be likely just old stories from past seasons but he's being linked with Spurs amongst others at around £23million. Now I know you guys don't like talking money but I know a few years ago he was very highly sought after before his move to PSG, has he not lived up to his expectations? In today's crazy market a price anywhere near that valuation is reasonably cheap these days, just wanted to get your opinion on the player, if you rate him or think he's somebody in your opinion we should look at. Again not a rumour just after your opinion really, good look for the crazy week ahead.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Moura is high risk and expensive given he is out of favour and would not be guaranteed a start at many higher-placed English sides given he can't get near the starting 11 at PSG. I don't know how many minutes Moura has played this season but it won't be much - he is rarely in the squad and when he is he is generally an unused substitute. Interest in taking him on loan elsewhere has gone nowhere as the player has high expectations. His abilities are limited to being able to run along a straight line quickly. It makes about zero sense to me.}

27 Jan 2018 12:06:34
Brilliant assessment, Ed. I have watched Moura play a lot at PSG and there is a reason he is where he is at with no big club touching him and it for the reasons you just described. He is a sprinter and that's about it. I would not want him at LFC EXCEPT Klopp wanted him and then I would defer to him. This is why you don't panic buy cos it seems Spurs got desperate here.

{Ed002's Note - If you look back to previous years PSG were willing to let Moura leave having lost patience over the time it took him to settle in (and another matter). They tried to get help from Adidas to ship him back to Brazil and offered him to the likes of Atletico, Manchester United and Arsenal all of which took a long stride back. Roma and Fenerbahce enquired but the cost was well beyond what they expected.}

27 Jan 2018 15:04:52
I thought that since he went to psg he has been dreadfully unsettled? Make no mistake, I absolutely don't want to take the risk but I thought I'd heard that he just couldn't adapt to life in France. Maybe it would be best for the lad to get loaned back to Brazil to find his form again, he was once thought of as a great potential, perhaps it's not too late to get his career back on track but unlike coutinho, I don't think he'll find what he needs in England.

27 Jan 2018 17:51:02
Thanks for the info, Ed. I have seen many fans on other sites slating LFC for not going for him. Goes to show that we should be grateful to the Ed's for the insight that they give us on the club's inner workings cos trust me w/ o them and their graciousness, I would be sounding just like these "fans". Thank you for all you do, Ed's!

{Ed002's Note - Are Liverpool still keen on Freddie Adu?}

27 Jan 2018 18:02:24
Lucas Moura has played 80 minutes in all competitions this season, Ed!

{Ed002's Note - Thanks. I assume he is raring to go then.}

27 Jan 2018 19:15:50
Haha I certainly wouldn’t be looking at signing him for Liverpool if it were down to me. I’m with you Ed, far too high risk.

27 Jan 2018 11:33:02

27 Jan 2018 11:04:14
Sounds like an agreement between us and inter is close for sturridge, I hope the Italian league suits him as much as I think it will and he scores for fun. Unfortunately for us injuries have stunted his career because he was class in his pomp.

Believable15 Unbelievable0

27 Jan 2018 11:21:43
I’ve read it was a loan so not believing it just yet as we want a permanent transfer.

{Ed002's Note - I doubt the player would accept a permanent deal - he wants to move elsewhere. The loan is there to hopefully, for him, get him in to the England squad.}

27 Jan 2018 11:28:55
If some media reports are to be believed, do you think he would take a permanent deal to Sevilla? That’s if they showed interest in a permanent deal of course.

27 Jan 2018 11:51:50
Anyone reckon he would be given another chance if he starts flying on loan?

{Ed001's Note - he is after a move to Spain mate.}

27 Jan 2018 12:23:22
Have to say no Davey, I think we’ve all been saying the same for 3 years. Everyone wants him to succeed at Liverpool but it’s got to the point where he’s just a wasted spot in the squad. When he does get fit he gets injured again before he’s match fit and the cycle continues. I would sell him and bring Origi back. ( or give Ings the chance to impress)

27 Jan 2018 14:20:34
I don't blame him. Seville beautiful place.

27 Jan 2018 10:33:13
Tony Gallacher confirmed by Falkirk and Liverpool. By all accounts a great young player who made his senior debut at 16 years old. Reportedly turned down advances from some really top clubs such as Barcelona and Man United.

Fingers crossed for this lad. Looks like the King had a part to play in the deal! Pictured on the official site shaking hands with Gallacher. Good man, Kenny!

Patience will be key though. According to the club site, Gallagher will join up with the development squad. Ed001, does that mean he'll be a part of the set up that Pepjin Lijnders was formerly in charge of? The select group who train with the first team, but mainly feature for the U23's or U18's? If so, he must be very highly rated. Players like Ejaria and Woodburn are a part of that group.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

27 Jan 2018 11:04:40
Very interesting signing, good luck lad.

27 Jan 2018 11:34:44
What position does he play?

{Ed002's Note - Left back.}

27 Jan 2018 12:01:53
Left (to rot) back lol.

And whilst I'm at it.

How come every time we sign a youngster we usually best Barcelona or united ot city to the signature.

Now come to think about it, when was the last them we beat Barcelona etc to a youngster that actually made it lol

I sense a devious ploy here by Barcelona etc

The same ploy fergie used on us when we paid 10m for Charlie Adams corners.

😅.

27 Jan 2018 13:24:01
Ravi, Gallacher cost £200k 😂 the price was hardly driven up!

27 Jan 2018 13:32:57
Isn't it crazy how 200k is now looked at as cheap lol it's worth more then my house and in football it's pocket change, but anyway bargain for him. Ravi no need to be so negative about it is there? if he was 40 million you'd probs be loving the idea of it.

27 Jan 2018 16:59:15
Ravi, calm down, he is a young lad with huge potential, he needs time to settle in and learn the trade, I have been told that he will make it .

27 Jan 2018 10:24:43
Really hope to see Solanke and Woodburn playing tonight, really think they can be very good for us.

Woodburn Just needs minutes and Solanke just needs a little bit of luck.

27 Jan 2018 12:30:33

Fully agreed on that, Ed01.
Such a waste. A fantastic player if he can put the team ahead of himself. I was shocked when he took the ball and just walked pass Cavani.

{Ed001's Note - it is a shame. I find it so frustrating watching him as I can just see what he could be rather than what he is.}

27 Jan 2018 09:21:44
Nice read, did he show that attitude at Barcelona too? I thought he was relatively well thought of or maybe it was Messi keeping him in check?

{Ed001's Note - he was very pally with Messi and Suarez but there was a bit of it there yes. It is just running unchecked now.}

27 Jan 2018 09:45:56
Think we have to remember that he is a big child at heart and when you get everything you desire at such a young age you can either be humble or arrogant when you become an adult
personally I have always thought he has is over rated and if offered him or someone like hazard would always chose the the latter as he seems like a more rounded and humble person and imo is the better player.

27 Jan 2018 09:29:24
What surprised me too was why no one else dare to come forward and give him a little advise? He's already on a hatrick. And im sure he is well aware that Cavani is only a goal shy of breaking a record.

{Ed001's Note - because he doesn't listen.}

27 Jan 2018 12:36:12
Suppose he didn't care for the crowd jeering either! I saw a montage of his goals a few days ago and he certainly has the skills, but sadly not the brain!

Ed, fantastic article and love all the snippets of info about what went on then. Btw, Jim Craig was my dentist when I was a teenager and he told me he set up the winning goal for the European Cup! Obviously a bit of embellishment there. Sadly, despite his footballing talent, he wasn’t a very good dentist haha.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, glad you enjoyed. He didn't mention giving away the penalty then?}

27 Jan 2018 09:44:26
I loved that too, many thanks.
I was thinking of European football in my favourite era, 1965 - 1985, and the vast tactical differences that teams / countries produced.
Celtic were definitely one of the great teams of that time, what formation / s did they play at that time?

Their achievement in reaching the 1970 European Cup Final is much less talked about but was that (largely) the same team?
The Leeds Utd website "The Mighty Mighty Whites" has some fantastic reviews of their great games and the Celtic v Leeds semi final clashes are tremendous - 136,000 people at the Celtic home tie at Hampden!

27 Jan 2018 10:30:58
That was a great article Ed1, thank you mate, brilliant.

YNWA.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

27 Jan 2018 04:23:00
Don’t park too close as 1 you’ll pay £15 and 2 it will be a nightmare getting away. I normally park at the Elm Tree in Kirkdale then walk 10 minutes to the ground, costs me a fiver and it’s a much easier get away.

27 Jan 2018 05:59:46
Anfield leisure centre on Lower Breck Road is pretty good. Think it’s £7 and fairly easy to get away from. 15 min walk.

27 Jan 2018 07:57:45
I park on Asda off Breck road.

3,hours free, so if you get to the car park 30 mins prior to kick off, you have plenty of time to get back within the 3 hours. 10 min walk to the ground and very secure.

You might even get a swift half in the Lutine Bell 😎.

27 Jan 2018 10:05:00
Asda is 3 hours free parking for store customers only. So I'd maybe pop in and buy a bottle of water just so you have a receipt. Then again, I'm paranoid! 😂.

27 Jan 2018 10:25:35
Cheers fella's. Appreciate it.

27 Jan 2018 10:27:20

27 Jan 2018 14:08:00
That’s a bus lane 😂.

26 Jan 2018 23:51:39
Personally I think fsg are doing a great job but I don't want to get into that too much. I imagine we're unlikely to sign anyone for the first team again this window so wondering if anyone could update us on what's happening with the next phase of the stadium work, why we have still not found a sponsor for the main stand, and how are we looking financially at the moment, given how much trouble we were in a couple of seasons ago. A general health update lol.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

27 Jan 2018 01:07:31
From what Ed002 has told us we do have debt but nothing to worry about compared to other clubs, we look relatively healthy. The stadium will not be expanded any further unless infrastructure around the ground can be improved, which will be very tricky and imagine would likely have to be a deal struck between the council and LFC. We have a good manager, a good team, a good stadium, we are playing great football. I wish the fans would be treated better but other than that i really am not sure what people are not happy about. In the future we will look back at these times with nostalgia glasses, trust me.

27 Jan 2018 11:40:22
FSG have nothing to do with whether we sign someone or not. All the other stuff, only time will tell.
