EDD001
how old are you 72? im 55 and love suarez deeply as for diving keegan was at it from 1972 no one mentions that, bob paisleys skids {Ed001's Note - I know Keegan did it, but I have always hated Keegan for his greed and leaving us for the money. But then I am not old enough to remember him playing for us being 37. It is just my grandad's influence mate, he hated cheating with a passion, I am the same. It is called morals mate, everyone has a different idea of what is ok, mine don't include cheating to win.}
--------------------------------------------------------------
That's a bit harsh lads. Keegan had a fantastic attitude, and players like him got much less protection back then than they do now.
And we did get 6 years at the top from him too. Yes, he left for the money. But, remember, this was at a time when players were not set up for life after retirement. Many of them opened a pub or a sports shop when they stopped playing. In hindsight, I wouldn't be too judgemental on Keegan. Tremendous player for Liverpool.
The Real KB

Keegan's head was turned at the end of the 1975/6 season by reports that Real Madrid and Barcelona were interested in signing him. He announced that he would be joining one of them but it turned out that neither were interested. He had talked himself into a move abroad but the only club that wanted him was HSV so in order not to back down on his big talk he signed.
Dutchmal

Kevins first salary at LFC was 40 pounds a week, hardly a Kings randsom, the club owned you back then & didn't have to sell if they didn't want to, & Leeds could actually kick you around the pitch all day (a bit like Wayne does now) but legalily. {Ed001's Note - I am sorry but I would pay to play for Liverpool, so I can't accept a player leaving for the money no matter when it happened. Keegan and Souness forever sullied their reputation by leaving for the money, even if deep down I understand why they did it.}

To all those slating Andy Carroll, I'll say this:

Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll when played together have the hallmarks of becoming Keegan-Toshack Mark II in time.

Toshack to Keegan: 'I'll head the ball down to you and you make sure you put it away.'

All we need now is to find another Ian Rush Mark II and we will have the perfect attacking triumvirate.

Nalin

3 fwd's won't work at the same time mate. Suarez an Carroll will start banging them in shortly. We need a qual rm with pace and skill.

Liverpool have been unlucky with injuries over recent times. These injury problems exposed a squad that had poor strength and dept over the past two seasons. However since the new owners have come in, our strength and dept has seen a substantial improvement. At the moment, some of the present injury problems could be beneficial in the long run because Liverpool are now showing signs of stability without Gerrard and Carragher.

Hi ed i was just wondering what Ecclestons position is. He is nearly 21 and am i right in thinking he has 6 months on his contract to run? Not sure on that part. But anyway after loan spells, mainly to league 1 which isnt great for a player who if he was going to make it here should be pushing up a little more imo.

Anyway do you think he could be given a chance on the bench in some matches or something? Obviously he is a little older then the rest... do you see him being let go sooner rather then later? {Ed009's Note - I don't think he is good enough to be a Premier League striker at any point. He will probably, in time, be a decent League One or Championship striker. His raw pace will cover up for his lack of cutting age in the lower leagues.}

Pace is something we lack. I hope he gets a couple of 10min cameo's before leaving. Just to give him a chance.

Agree, with ED, not good enough.

I'm getting a Liverpool shirt this week, can't decide who to get on the back, who do you all got or would you have?

I have my surname on the back of my shirt but there is no point putting it on your shirt unless you have the same name as me.

JRG {Ed001's Note - I never see the point in putting a name on the back of a shirt.}

I would recommend the obvious choice suarez and enrique because he is a beast.

Danny

Safest bet is to leave out the name, or possibly get your own name mate. Learnt my lesson after torres' decided to jump ship. Think I'd only worn my torres top a handful of times and now it's somewhere in the back of my closet. You never know though, maybe someday he'll come out.

Cuchulainn's Hounds {Ed001's Note - or get Justice/JFT and the number 96, which is what I get on the back of my shirts.}

RedTurk is a good one

Dalglish 7

jayblair89

Or get LFC at the top and the number 4 and life at the bottom

Danny.

How about Lucas?
He's the unsung hero of Liverpool and prob deserves his name on the back of our shirts more than anyone for putting up with the abuse he has received over the years

MIKEY

I stopped putting names on the back of my shirts as I was sick of looking like a 12 year old boy.

Myk

Be individual. Put your own name on the back the lfc emblem represents so much more. Ynwa

Gerrard. Obviously not going to leave the club for another and once he hangs up his boots he will be a liverpool legend for generations. Think of him as the young kenny dalglish

Liverpool

U can by my no 9 shirt, can't wear it anymore...

Gerrard is already a legend

why not celebrate him now, why the wait?

Or you could get the Bixent Lizerazeu (spelling). Number 69.

Rafa's Purple Goatie

Just a little debate ...

Gonna post 2 teams, which would you choose if you had the choice?

Reina; Johnson, Carra, Agger, Aurelio; Kuyt, Lucas, Gerrard, Meireles, Maxi; Torres

Jones, Kelly, Skrtel, Poulsen, Cole, Jovanovic, Babel

-------------------------------------------

Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Henderson, Gerrard, Lucas, Adam, Downing; Suarez

Doni, Kelly, Carra, Spearing, Maxi, Bellamy, Carroll

Squad 2 are current squad has a lot more depth and quality than squad 1. Cole ,poulson and babel were never up to the standard.

Danny

No brainer. Squad 2

Eds, I realize that it is highly unlikely that Eden Hazard will join us in the summer but do you think the 50mil price tag is an accurate reflection on his skill, seems over priced but thats not to say that he is an excellent player. {Ed001's Note - I think it is a ludicrous price for a player that is still unproven.}

Makes me worry how good Cole looks in that league... Hazard really needs to move to Eng or Spain to prove he is worth 50m first. 15-20m now.

26 Nov 2011 21:25:27
hey ed, who is your most favorite 3 players from our current squad? ynwa! greetings from india! {Ed001's Note - Carragher, Lucas and Adam, yours?}

No suarez ed? The players that I love most are carragher ,Dirk and reina.Only because they love the club so much.I would also but adam in that list as he loves the club very much and I think he is a very good player.But if i were to choose what i think are the three best players it would be suarez,enrique and reina.I think they could play in most teams in the world.

Danny {Ed001's Note - Suarez? Not for me, his diving and whining annoys me, I am old school and hate that kind of attitude. Just get on with the game and if they kick you, kick them back, if the ref doesn't give you a foul get up and get on with it because the ball might break into a scoring chance while you are whining.}

I am not the poster but i like, carroll, henderson, downing, i like it when they keep the bench warm

I understand what you mean.To be honest I don't think suarez is a diver but he does whine.The way suarez plays I think the slight touch can knock him over as he is a dribbler.You must be a big fan of charlie adam then.He was excellent against chelsea.Really got stuck in with his tackles.Great to see if your a fan.And he also set up the goal for johnson.Lkie i said though Dirk kuyt has never been a great player but I love him for his work rate.

Danny {Ed001's Note - I do love Kuyt's workrate and attitude as well.}

Lol unnamed poster likes the geordies.Are you from newcastle?

Danny

Lucas, Agger, Suarez. {Ed009's Note - Mine too probably. And Stevie G, but then I'm greedy and demand a fourth...}

How do you think we will line up tomorrow ed?

Danny {Ed009's Note - Reina; Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique; Downing (Maxi), Lucas, Adam, Kuyt; Bellamy (Carroll), Suarez.}

EDD001
how old are you 72? im 55 and love suarez deeply as for diving keegan was at it from 1972 no one mentions that, bob paisleys skids {Ed001's Note - I know Keegan did it, but I have always hated Keegan for his greed and leaving us for the money. But then I am not old enough to remember him playing for us being 37. It is just my grandad's influence mate, he hated cheating with a passion, I am the same. It is called morals mate, everyone has a different idea of what is ok, mine don't include cheating to win.}

Personally Ed001, I think Suarez has improved with his antics since the Norwich game, Carra probably had a word. Reminds me much like when Torres first came to the club, he did it a couple of times an improved after that, until he started getting into too many petty fights in the 2009/10 season.

Jatt YNWA

Dear me ed001, dodgy 3 choices there and your thoughts on KING LUIS big boo's all round. but it's all about opinions isn't it. Boring if we all agreed.

Waro {Ed001's Note - dodgy? Carragher is from down the road from me, always willing to chat if you bumped into him in Sullies even while a first teamer. He is at youth games etc, showing a real love for the club, despite having the misfortune to be born a blue. How could he not be a fave? Lucas shows a fantastic attitude, never once moaning to the press despite the abuse he received from our own fans. He has matured into a quality player, again, how could he not become a fave? As for Adam, well that is for different reasons!}

Personally I want maxi to start on the right instead of kuyt.And because of his performances of late bellamy to start but on the left.I think we have been playing better without carroll but i keep on getting visions of them two goals he scored last time.So thats why i would start him.How do you think we will win?
p.s don't day put the ball in the net more times lol

Danny

Forgot to sign off on that last post ed001, by the way mine are REINA STEVIE and LUIS.

Waro

Carra Lucas and Dirk for me. All 3 because they are class acts on and off the pitch. Henderson and Pepe are up there 2

Dat88

3 Favs for me are Carra, Lucas and Pepe. Agger is close but the article in the paper today tell me all I ever need to know about Carra.

Several years ago, such decisions might have brought consternation. Today finds Carragher (33) in his deep-thinking role, adapting to unfamiliar but inevitable changes in circumstances and already assessing what lies in store when his No 23 jersey is surely retired with him.

"I am not the future of Liverpool. Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel and Sebastian Coates are," said Carragher. "But I can still be part of the present for a few more years. It's only one game I've not been selected for, so it's not the end yet.

"Over the last decade, if I had missed a match, I would have gone straight back into the team when available. This time I didn't, and I have to accept it, agree with it and understand it. I was out for a couple of weeks and the lads who came in did really well. I've always said mental strength is important in every player and this is another test of that.

"In the past there were people saying if Steven Gerrard and me weren't playing there was a problem, but now you look at it and say out of the last three games we've won two away from home. That's good for the club. We have to look to the future. I'm sure the manager, (director of football) Damien Comolli and owners are looking at that while wanting to make sure we're doing everything to win from one week to the next. I think I can speak for Stevie, too, when I say we're desperate to help the club win trophies as much as we can, whether we play all the games or not.

"That has always been our aim. I still always want to play the next game, but this club has been great to me and I will never be disrespectful to it or to anyone who is selected ahead of me. That was one of the things Gerard Houllier always said to me. You must respect those that are playing, especially those in your position.

"If I've played nearly 700 games for Liverpool, it means someone else has been on the bench showing respect for me, so I have no problem when it is the other way around. I am at one of the biggest teams in the world, a club which is looking for players in every country. We're not some Mickey Mouse club short of top-class players, so to have been able to go straight back into the team every time for so long has been a great achievement.

"You want to be involved and you're disappointed when you are not, but I am aware my situation is changing over the next few years. Last weekend may have been one of the first signs of that."

Chi-Paul

Enrique, Bellamy, Suarez!

Haha.. i m the poster mate! mine is STEVIE G, SUAREZ, REINA! its early hours on sunday here in india.. can only think abt our game against manc!

Adam is a diver. the worst corner taker ever in history,
and
carra the biggest whiner, if you gona shout atleast have some base to back it up. he sounds like a baby being delivered

Adam, Lucas @ Hendo. Best 3 man cm in prem. We will many more games than we lose if we play all 3 in cm.

Yes!' I finally can post again! Hadn't been able to post using my phone so i've been only able to read but not post.

It's good to be back! Mwa

If lucas can cut out citeh's midfield supply lines(silva in particular) and if the fail to manmark charlie adam tightly, we have a chance of winning.

For once, the vast majority of footie lovers here in Singapore are gona be rooting for the Reds, regardless of the team they support. Even mancs.

Maybe w the exception of Everton fans cos it makes no difference to them. Haha

Singapore Red
YNWA

It's good to be back!':-)

Welcome back mate. I agree with you that we will neat to cut out City's creative supply.Thats why I personally feel we should play 5 in midfield to try and out play them.It will be a tough game but I have faith in the reds. Come on boys!

Danny

Danny, I expect very little change - if any at all - to the team that was fielded against chelsea last weekend. Singapore Red, welcome back. Good to see you again mate, read you, look at the words or something like that..?

Hi ED, do u think Sterling and Suso will have their debuts this year in premier league :D? Cheers m8...:D

{Ed002's Note - No.}

This 'will academy players get a run out this season' question is gettin as teadious as the 'who do you see as a likely target in January' question...

Myk

Myk - agreed mate, that's the exact thing I was thinking reading the first post.

Cuchulainn's Hounds

Carling cup bench yes
doni
kelly, coates, carra/wilson, aurelio
suso, henderson, spearing, downing
carroll, bellamy/eccleston

sub; hansen, flanagan, carra/wilson, brad smith, silva, sterling, bellamy/eccleston

26 Nov 2011 20:09:00
Eds, when do you expect quality players from our academy (connor coady, raheem stirling etc) to start making appearances in the first squad? {Ed002's Note - When they are older.}

26 Nov 2011 19:59:08
A good win tomorrow puts us on 25 points which sets us up very nicely for a interesting December, with 6 games in one month 3 at home 3 away 18 points up for grabs.. I know it's one game at a time but with the exception of the spurs game we have dominated all the rest without taking maximum points, I think KK and the players have learnt from this and nows the time to really get back into the mix. If we can beat city then take say 15-16 points by the end of December the top 4 beckons.... Fingers crossed....

C'mon u reds!!

Curled1

Good post mate. RedTurk

I feel Liverpool are a lot better than our league position suggests.

MIKEY

True if only we had a striker

26 Nov 2011 19:54:26
Why do some of you think Bellamy is on loan?

Square tomato

Seriously it is shocking, but a great laugh, can just imagine Ed002 face having been asked 5 times? Ahh quality.

Jatt YNWA {Ed002's Note - Fortunately I have the ability to ban people. That is what keeps me so cheerful. Be afraid. Be very afraid.}

Haha, ruling by an Iron fist!

Jatt YNWA

I know you have the ability Ed002 but that doesn't mean you have to use it with abandon. You have banned at least three of my posts and none were in any way offensive to normal people!!
Dutchmal {Ed009's Note - I find this deeply offensive, does that make me abnormal? Again - you have offended me...}

26 Nov 2011 19:42:45
Why the hell didnt we get arda turan ? Watchin the madrid derby hes quality and for 12 million euros was a bargain!
Ant

26 Nov 2011 19:24:46
Watching the arsenal game. I think Dembele was fantastic. That's what you call ball retention. I think we should pick him up!

Could not agree more , what a player , skill to beat a couple of men , and strong as a ox , out-muscled song in midfield as well , please kk sign him up , could be a great player for the future..........lfc

Hey Eds. I know someone of you have some contacts at the club. Can you get a message across to Kenny and Damien about Dembele. I see a few similarities with John Barnes. Able to play the game at his own pace. Not the quickest, but thats honed his ball skills. John was able to ride challenges that came in at pace but move the ball at the last minute. He was the best ball player this country has ever seen. Yes ever. Kenny identified that, perhaps he can bring the same from Dembele.

What n****nks. We need a scorer, not another good attacking player who has no end product. Dembele wouldn't even get in the team

To the above post.. Please enlighten me, what word have you censored there? I was quite good at wheel of fortune but cannot work that one out.. Many thanks..

Myk

26 Nov 2011 19:11:43
Hey eds is Bellamy eligible to play the mara if selected saying he's only on loan to us? Wills 81 {Ed002's Note - But he is not on loan.}

26 Nov 2011 19:07:40
Come On LFC,we can do ourselves a right favour!We can play decent footy.I slag,cos i know that!We can beat Citeh.They aint invincable.Same closeing down,pressing,high tempo game,will beat them!But got! to be clinical/ruthless.Mr.Whinge

26 Nov 2011 19:01:21
Ok weve drawn too many.But Newcastle above us-drawn,one more!Main problem=defo-goals scored!In the top ten,only Everton(one)scored less!Not good reading,and obviously needs adressing,no matter what anyone says!Plus is our goals conceeded matches the best=Citeh.Mr.Whinge

26 Nov 2011 18:57:30
I think too much is being made of spurs at the moment ok they are having a good run but they will be lucky finish in the top six. Arsenal are always a dangerous side though and are always capable of putting a run together.

Eds am i right in saying its the african nations in jan which arsenal, spurs, city, chelsea and newcastle will lose players?

I think we are well capable of finishing in top four this season.

Mighty reds {Ed002's Note - January/February, yes.}

Checked their squad, none of spurs players going to ACN

Adeboyor is going i think {Ed002's Note - Adebayor will not be going.}

Spurs will finish in the top three,harry did a great job picking up adebayor and parker and at very little cost,only thing that will be a problem if harry goes to jail or becomes england manager (what a choice)godin.

Eds is assou-ekotoo going? {Ed001's Note - I think Cameroon failed to qualify didn't they?}

26 Nov 2011 18:56:05
Hi ed(s)

2 questions if thats ok. 1. Do you think we let Pacheco go too early without giving him a fair chance? 2. Which of the young lads at the club do you feel will realistically make it into the 1st team. There is a lot more attention on young players these days which sometimes means a player comes with alot of hype and falls short and most clubs seem to buy young lads from around the world so I was just wondering who you feel will make the grade?

Ta, Andy {Ed002's Note - Pacheco needed to move on as he did not settle and had some issues. Morgan looks a good one for the future. Clearly Suso has some talent as well.}

26 Nov 2011 17:31:22
Now, I haven't seem any of the manc game yet. I haven't seen the penalty decision either. I have however seen many dubious/non penalty decision given over every season of football. Having said all that, I've never once read a match report like that currently on skysportdotxom reveiwing the manc game. Another (if needed) timely reminder that sky and the mancs are like two lovers trying to hide their affection when people question it. Sky, you disgust me. Never before have you been so firm in knowing when a pen wasn't a pen, and so vocal too. Laughable. Where you when Stevie put his free kick in against stoke and for an unknown reason it was disallowed. We would have gone clear that season, but your band-wagon of LMA, Sam Allardyce, parrot hodgson, whiskey nose loving ****heads weren't going to allow that!

Despondent. Barclays pathetic league.

As much as i hate united and rio,i have to say it was a quality takle and i cant believe it was given,but great anyway about time united was on the recieving end of a bad decision!

It's such a big story, ref gives pen to opposition at Old Trafford and disallows an offside goal, that only happens once in a generation so you can understand Sky going over the top.

26 Nov 2011 17:24:50
Bad news lads. Terry got a yellow in injury time that rules him out of Tuesdays game. Sideshow Bob and Alex this time then.

Chi-Paul

Sideshow bob.. Good un..! Haha

26 Nov 2011 17:20:01
cheers eds for getting the problem with posting from phones fixed..

Eds is there any chance that you can make it so we can post replys with our phone please? {Ed001's Note - yes, we are working on it, but it is not as easy as it seems.}

26 Nov 2011 16:53:44
this game against man city tomorow has turned into a must win game, if we dont we will have alot of probelms with teams around us. RedTurk

What did i say guys a complete divvy.If we do lose tomorrow there are plenty more games to turn it around.If man city beat us there is no shame with the money they have spent.

Danny

You are the most negative so called fan I know.

Danny

Don't talk so daft - we're only a third of the way through the season, there is a long way to go yet.

JRG

What can say KNEE JERK "supporters!"All the best.

26 Nov 2011 16:41:30
Hi Eds, did any prem club make an enquiry about having Eccleston on a season long loan? Would be absolutely fantastic for both Liverpool and the player, juste like Sturridge & Welbeck did {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

But he aint in the same league as sturridge or wellbeck!

26 Nov 2011 16:11:52
is adebayour on a half season or full season loan at spurs? {Ed002's Note - Full season.}

26 Nov 2011 16:02:29
Newcastle playing well at Old Toilet. West brom holding Spudz at the half. Lampfat dropped today and chelski respond 3-0 up at the half, still no Torres. They will sort us with goal difference today I'm afraid. Obviously a long way to go yet with these games. Could it be one of those weekends when things tighten up a little more. I hope so.

26 Nov 2011 15:07:03
Ed's can you stop printing people slagging off Carroll as I am sure many professional footballers view this site as well as your others. I know everybody has a right to an opinion but surely this Andy bashing is getting old for you's as well. The main point about his fee is English players are always dearer than foreign arguably better players.
Rooney 25-30m
Walcott came from a division below so only 12m
Bale same as Theo
Henderson 15-20m
Jones 17m
Carrick 18m
Hargreaves 17m
I know most people will say that Andy is not as good as these, but we cannot compare any of them to him.
Scouse Pride

Andy is brilliant even though he's not - hows that?

I have not said Andy is brilliant or that he is not. I am saying lay off him.
Scouse Pride

Don't ya know the more you say lay off him the more people will lay into him?

Or have you not figured that out yet?

I was asking the eds to stop humouring these fair weather fans points of view regarding our own players.
Scouse Pride {Ed002's Note - We are not going to sensor Liverpool fans for expressing an opinion on the Liverpool players. We will attempt to cut out those from other fans doing it. If Carroll gets a couple of goals they will move back to slating Henderson or Downing, look at Lucas last year.}

Andy will come good, right now he's getting some tough love. His character is being tested to get a reaction. He does'nt seem to sulk on the bench or mope about the pitch a'la Torres. Having seen him play a few times this season, i cant fault him for effort. All the best Andy.

KNEE JERK

Haway!
It's Andy here, as Scouse Pride mentioned, myself, along with many other proffessional footballers read sites like this everyday. Being in and around the club everyday we know very little about the on-goings in the transfer market and rely heavily on you fans to keep us informed. I'll try me best to recapture the form I showed at Newcastle, but if yous could stop bashing us, I'd really appeciate it like, as it hurts me feelings.

Keep the info coming, Carra wants to check the site now so I must be off.

Andy.

Come on Roy me old beauty !
The Real KB

Haha never thought I would be saying that again! ooooooo just as I'm writing 1-0 to the Baggies lol.

Aye, thanks for nothing again Roy.
Good win for Spurs that.
We could do with 3 x points tmrw.

26 Nov 2011 14:51:15
our away form has been better than our home form....now THATS improvement!.....just need to dominate at home like old times and we will up there in the mix at the end of the season....cheers! YNWA!

The man of the match in our last three home games have been the oppositions goalkeeper.Our home form in general has been excellent.We haven't been playing poorly we just need to take the chances.

26 Nov 2011 13:28:41
Eds, What are your current opinions on Jonjo Shelvey? I really think he is coming along well. He could be the creative spark that we are looking for. Excellent vision, and as you have seen at Blackpool, he can definitely help with the clubs goal tally.
(C) {Ed002's Note - I think that he may well spend the rest of the season on loan to build up his experience in preparation for next season. However, if Gerrard does not recover soon, he could be brought back to provide midfield cover. I am sure that the club is very pleased with the number of goals he has been scoring.}

Shelvey is good but not top class, hes too slow and cant open up defences cos that is what we need. i think thats why we have our eye on lucas from brazil.RedTurk

'cant open defences', have you even watched Shelvey in a Liverpool shirt RedTurk? The only reason he is playing at Liverpool is because he has that ability and to get goals, despite his lack of pace.

Secondly Lucas(Rodrigues, Moura, da Silva, Whatever you want to call him!) Plays predominantly on the wing, and not where Shelvey plays.

Try watching Shelvey before you even start slating him.

Jatt YNWA

Mr jatt yes i have watched him, hes doing well at blackpool but that might be his level who knows. in the games i seen him play for lfc, he hasnt impressed me that much. he is good like i said but not top class and doubt he can be as good or near to gerrard.RedTurk

Through ball to Suarez vs Fulham - yes he can open up defences

Guys redturk is a divvy.I'm sure an ed could even back me up he slags of every player whether they are good or not. Obviously shelvey is not top class at the moment but he has the potential to be.You are the reason players sometimes to not reach there potential.As you put so much pressure on them to perform.Get off there back.

Danny

Shelvey isn't imo topclass.He may well turn out to be a good squad player for us, He doesn't have the pace to be a box to box player ,though he could turn out to be a second striker.

Hmmm slaggin off a player lol, you call that slagging him off? or stating the obvious, he is a good player, not top class and i cant see him reaching gerrards heights, if u call that slagging off u need ur head checked. more like you like slagging me off when i have my own opinions on players, i dont have blind faith i like to see it how it is mate, if we all have blind faith like you we can never change. If there is a player that can see a pass and play killer through balls, it has to be suso in our academy, he has the ability to be top class but lets hope he can make it. RedTurk

Ok shelvey is slow but he would still outrun alonso who was also slow,adam? barry? scholes? if you can play you dont need to be a sprinter!

He's only 19... ffs Give him a chance!
Anyhow I've seen him play since he was about 14-15 and he has always stood out, has something special about him imo...

Hello Everybody

Ed's i'm not trying to taking shots at you guys because you do a great job on here but I think you guys need to be on the same page. 1 ed says yeah liverpool have looked/looking at these players then a few mins later another ed (we know who he is lol) come on here and says Liverpool have no chance of buying anyone whos a top player.

I know a lot off people on here come up with some stupid rumours. There are only 4 clubs in the footballing world you could say are bigger than Liverpool. If Liverpool really wanted to sign a player then Liverpool would get that player (okay maybe not Messi/Ronaldo lol) but you know what i mean.

TheBA300 {Ed002's Note - So the editors cannot share their knowledge or opinion then unless they all agree? Can you please point me at a post where one of the editors has stated "Liverpool have no chance of buying anyone whos a top player." Folks are throwing up random names because they have done well on Fantasy Manager or scored a decent goal this week. It is completely hopeless and a waste of time when the club have no interest in these players to say anything other than the truth. And Liverpool cannot just sign any player they want.}

Lol dumbest post by far

If liverpool really wanted to get a player, they could? I doubt that

tomorrows game will be the start of it between man city and liverpool. man city are two years ahead of liverpool at the moment. they have more money but we are in great shape and improving all the time.
new owners want success and looking at whta they spent so far-
300 million for the club
40 million net on transfers
a carroll is the only one not performing, but he will be given time. i would like to see three good players come in jan/summer window, players that are proven. even at a cost of 60-70 million. with good young players at the club are mixed in we will we on our way. owners will have invested 400 million for a club of liverpools size and new players, a steel. good times are coming again.

main rivals
man city- they will be big rivals
man u- they are broke 750 million in debt, af leaving in next few years. results this season in pl and europe show they are on way down.
arsenal- looking good money wise, new manager in a few years could see them going either way.
spurs-cant see them lasting too long.
chelsea- have money and ambition so will be back if owner keeps up interest.

a cup and top four finish this season, then onwards and upwards.

B o H

I think you are wrong to write off man united like that, despite the dept they can still attract the very best players and when fergie retires they will still get the best manager available. Liverpool can't and won't rely on the other big clubs failing, we need and will up our game to compete and win. We have the right owners now to bring the club up to the top. We might not have the most money, the most superstars, the latest flash manager. but we are being run properly now, maybe the best run in the prem. We have the best supporters, traditions and accedemy.
We are slowly climbing back onto our perch, but some fans need to look at the bigger picture.

MIKEY

Man utd debt is around 450 million mark.
kopfiend 1978 ynwa

Highly unlikely man utd will go down. If someone is goin down, it will be chelski or man citeh, coz these two SMALL clubs r completely reliant on their owners. If the sheikh or roman lose interest, they r finished.
Indian Buzzer

We have never left our perch. Just got one foot on it same a mufc. they got prem we got European cups

Man u debt is 500 million on paper. 250 million disappeared when glazers switched company that owns man u. nobody knows where its gone. it will come back maybe even bigger. they are trying to go back on asian stock markets to sell 30% to pay some off. they were the the best in prem in last 20 years, now bust.

Hi Eds,
do you think KK will make Bellamy's stay permanent next year or is it too early to say?
greetings
tom {Ed002's Note - It already is permanent. He signed a contract to June 2013.}

Yeah that would be great! But City may prefer loaning him somewhere else if he hurts them!

Head in a Bucket {Ed002's Note - Bellamy is a Liverpool player - Manchester City cannot loan him anywhere.}

Hes a liverpool player until the shiek decides to loan him to some Championship side! Id love us to get him but im afraid its just wishful thinking.

Clueless

^^Are these on a wind up or still smashed from last night..^^

To everyone who's got tickets for the game tomorrow- get singing from start to finish!!

We need a decent performance from the ref, a bit of luck with our chances, and most of all we need a roaring Kop.

Let the Redmen know you're all behind them, and let City know they're playing a team who are going to give them a proper game of football.

And if anyone can't adhere to the above I will gladly attend in their place!

hi eds, a question for ed 002 (or anyone else who knows the answer)
how much of a budget do we actually have for january and/or summer. I'm not talking numbers but more do we have enough to make 1 or 2 good signings or a world class signing, etc. Any info would be great
thanks,
REDS4LIFE {Ed002's Note - I have explained repeatedly that I expect January spending to be limited to replacements for long-term injuries, for players leaving and perhaps to plug any obvious shortfalls. In the summer, much will depend on qualification for the champions league. A lot of new players have come in this year so I really don't expect such a large turnover again.}

I have a serious question- is Ed002 Jesus?

I don't remember Jesus being so sarcastic, but then he didn't have to answer the same question about whether the disciples squad were striking a new striker 50 times a day.

PS- Ed002, what are our chances of signing Eden Hazard in January?

My labrador is called Nigel, if that helps. {Ed001's Note - was Jesus a crotchety old woman?}

Oh noooo! I thought she was a hawt young chick, and you say she's not just crochtety, but old too?
My dreams of a marrying and having a family of little Ed002's lie in tatters...

More like mary magdalin.

Oi Scousers

Do something that doesn't come natural at quiet Anfield, and win on Sunday. You may even come 6th by the end of the season with a bit of luck!

Well Mr Manc. I am not so sure that United's record at Anfield is so good lately. Suggest two things... Concentrate on your own results and keep looking over your shoulder. Oh sorry, two more suggestions, stay on your own fan sites and don't be such a d**k ( I do appreciate the last request may be close to impossible)
MikeinUsa

Nah don't think he's a manc, sounds more like a spurs fan to me. Whoever you support your a clown and should support your own lot and don't worry about us, we'll be fine mate. Cheers.
