Aside from injuries, don't change a winning team.

It's pretty simple lids.

Go for the throats and let's show the lot of 'em.

He has changed a winning team, mainly due to Flanagan's injury.

Christmas present off my girlfriend this year is 2 tickets to Liverpool vs Arsenal 😀 Get in! Sat in one of the boxes with a 3 course meal and, hopefully, an ex player to meet! Can't wait!

Clichy
Kompany
Demi
Kolerov

Fernandinho
Toure

Navas
Silva

Negredo

I'm hoping navas will not start as he would rip cissoko apart! Come in you reds!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't tell them all our secrets Pike! We can only play what's put in front of us and if we want to be there at the end, we have to beat some of the top teams. Which if course we can. Go to it boys.

Hoping BR don't decide to try and play safe and go with 3 centre backs And wing backs.
this was our undoing at arsenal and by the time he decide to revert to 4 4 2 the game was already out of reach.
BR should go with Toure Sakho as the referees surely will be looking to make an example of Skrtls marking from set pieces.AGGER seems to have the same style of marking( perhaps Rafa trained them to mark that way.) they never seem to go for the ball.
I think there's a huge chance of winning tomorrow and its not because of suarez. it will be the legs of Allen and especially Henderson whos pressing of fernandinho And tovre would dictate city's ability to recycle and control possession. rush them. into wayward passes and let lucas sweep them up. Allen and Henderson are faster and fitter so if then can keep that high press we will win tomorrow.

I hope we play like we did last year but with the result this time round of we play how we have been I think we can match them they have a stronger bench I'm usually pessimistic expert the worst anything better is great but I feel really optimistic about this game may be the xmas alcohol I watched all the game against fulhamif they can put 2 past we dhould have a chance fingerscrossed

Agree0 Disagree0

I have the same fear that he will play 3 center backs, I think a 4-5-1 would be best, we have to win the midfield battle to win this game and I feel with city's defense being so vulnerable we will be able to score.

Hi Reds and eds. Down here in Zimbabwe a well known prophet called Huebert Angel has predicted LFC 2013-14 EPL Champions. He has correctly predicted a number of football results.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ha. Don't jinx it please.

Agree0 Disagree0

A well known Profit, hmm, i'm guessing Fernando Torres? :)

Everyone in the world of football knows Liverpool bought him for about £25m and sold him for £50m and then bought Suarez with some of the money and that now Suarez's value is worth even more than Torres was. That's a profit meh Son, a proper profit. IMO

Hi ED002, quick question, is Priscilla Suso?

Merry Crimbo all

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Priscilla is a poodle. She and Bernard made a couple of soft porn films together in Mexico back in the 70s. But hey, we all did that to make a few bucks.}

Hey Ed002 - what exactly did you make those bucks do?

It probably made their Xmas.

Please everyone, stop trashing Skrtel. He's scored 2 own goals, but that can happen to anyone, and it shows how committed he is and how determined he is to get to the ball no matter what. His performances have been top drawer this season; I've always really rated him, but he's possibly been even better this season.

Very excited/anxious about the game tomorrow. I just hope people don't start moaning on here if we get well beaten. City are incredible at the ethihad and if you look at the casualties there this season, bayern, arsenal, united, spurs. Don't get me wrong I love our team and will be watching and supporting. I'm just saying don't get your daggers out if we lose badly.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bayern beat city 3-1 they beat them away pal

Agree0 Disagree0

I think people are getting carried away about this match.
Our team, (when they play the way they have been), have the ability to beat ANYONE.
Even though City have played excellent this season at home they, like us (Hull), have the ability to throw in the odd bad game.
If we turn up to this match, and even if City do, I don't see us getting the thrashing that some are predicting.
If both teams turn up with there A game it will be a thrilling match. And yes we may lose (And then again we may win) but it is only 3 points and then its on to the next match.
When I looked at the schedule from Spurs through to Chelsea I thought "I'll settle for 6 points" 3 draws (Spurs, City and Chelsea) and a win at Cardiff. So we have achieved (in my eyes) our points total already. (And I am sure a lot of LFC fans would have taken that points total too) SO anything else is a bonus. Yes, it will be great to get something from the City game, but its not essential. And the way Chelsea are performing at the minute I can see us getting some kind of a result there.
So let's just calm down, look forward to the next few games and we will settle for whatever we get.
In the team we must trust.

Dezyboy

If it was at the Allianz then the result becomes all the more impressive and the fact remains they have still thumped people at the ethihad.

I definitely think we are in with a good shout of an upset, just don't the negative people to make an appearance if we lose that's all

Agree0 Disagree0

Awh stop but end of the day its 11 men against 11 men any thing could happen but I agree with ya man think we should go for it

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will lose 5-3 tomorrow, hope I'm wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm thinking a 3-2 to City or 3-3. I'd be v happy with a draw

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll beat City 1-3 today, I am confident. They will not be able to contain our fast moving play. With Hendo, Allen, Stirling, Coutinho and Suarez everytime

Why draw at City and not a win at City. I am sure we will win today.

my post didn't come out yesterday so il post again.

i think Liverpool to stay top after the next three games is a step too far. and man city and everton. will be top by the start of january as they both have easier teams to beat and its so close at the top that any slip ups can make Liverpool drop 4 places downwards.

its that tight up there.

so being very realistic. Liverpool have to stay ahead of everton who are our main rivals and spurs and manchester united. because arsenal chelsea and man city are a step ahead of us.(dont just look at us being top now. anybody can be top at the moment)

feel free to comment guys.

so red lobster you basically don't have any confidence in the team let's just see how we do before you go bigging up all the other teams and thinking city have easy games, they won't be looking forward to playing us either and without their star player and for everton they r a very good team but imo a few injuries will really hurt them as the season runs on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree tommy, city's most potent players are yaya, zabaleta, silva and aguero. 2 of those players are missing same as gerrard and sturridge are missing for us.

However as terrifying as citys squad looks on paper, aguero has been the attacking star for them and zabaleta the defensive rock.

The absence of Gerrard and Sturridge has not had a bad effect on our team.

Im not sure I could say the same for city, I think this game will be a lot closer than people think.

Merry Christmas to one and all. Hope you all stay healthy in the new year. Boy these years go by quickly, don't they? Better make the most of them while we can. Make every second count. Be good!

If Flanno is out for the city games then I would give Brad Smith his debut if I were Rodgers. He is faster, stronger, more attacking than flanno & his defensive work rate is good. Get him to mark Navas and provide width on the counter attack. We've seen Cissokho getting caught out of position the few times he has played despite his pace, he has left huge gaps at the back, we can't have that against city.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You been on the sauce! a reserve team player to make his debut for the 1st's away from home against title contenders on new years day!?!?!?!? crazy

Agree0 Disagree0

People presumably said the same when Rob Jones made his debut away against Utd.
For those who are old enough and watched it - seem to remember Giggs not having a kick
Great to have confidence in the youngsters.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Jones was superb that day, the best debut performance I have ever seen, though he was that good, it was not one of his better performances!}

Hi Ed 001, I would want to know if Nacho is still at the academy. If yes how is he progressing and if no where and how is he doing. Merry Christmas to all eds and reds.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he is still with us, though he is struggling to force his way into the U21s this season. Though I do believe, unless I am being fed porky pies anyway, that it is down to injuries that he has only made one appearance.}

Are you sure he's still here Ed? I heard he'd been released earlier this season, and the LFC website have removed him from their Academy squad list?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I thought he was gone as well, but he is still listed by the FA as at Liverpool. I assumed they would have to receive notice when/if he left, due to registration. I haven't asked about him for a while, and I was away until late last night, so just went on their listing as it should be the most reliable (especially compared to my memory!).}
