Hi eds, fellow reds, does anyone know when the work to develop anfield will begin?will it be soon or will it take a few years to buy up all the houses, is it true that houses outside the stadium are going for a fiver?anyways so glad they are keeping Anfield for all its proud history and not building a stadium elsewhere also on a side note do u think kelly will make it as a regular starter or will he be further down the pecking order after all these new defensive signings, or will he be loaned out, I hope not as I really rate him, anyway great start so far hope we can stay in the mix of top 4 .:) {Ed002's Note - Planning is delayed right now due to Ozone and Waro refusing to sell their houses. Expect it to start to drag out.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha - one of your best Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Comedy gold from Ed002! Made me chuckle that did!

Agree0 Disagree0

Omg ed002 I literally choked on my tea ha ha, awesome!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002

Cant we get Chris from Tamworth to take them both off fishing in Weymouth and then knock the houses down whilst they are away getting Pollocks?

Agree0 Disagree0

What would happen to Chris once they find out?

Has AC MILAN ever showing interest in borini? {Ed002's Note - Milan has no interest in Borini.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Much like a majority of fans on here it seems. I really like the lad and hope he comes back and finds some form with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt that will join Real Madrid in a bidding war.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he gets a new club soon as his chances of playing at Anfield are diminishing rapidly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Awh no I like borini I was just wondering if AC looked at him because we were linked with el Shaaaraw just a little day dream is all

Agree0 Disagree0

if Suarez goes in jan for 50 mil we can buy el shawarry [30mil] and yilmaz / yarmalenko 20 mil

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yarmelenkos not worth £2 mill. We want Konoplanka.

Agree0 Disagree0

El shaarawy will not be joining Liverpool!

Agree0 Disagree0

Konoplyanka, Coutinho, El Shaawary & Sturridge on the counter-attack would destroy any defence

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd happily take Costa and Koke, both of Atletico Madrid. I think they'd help offer more than most other players typed about. They both score and assist and play at a high level. I doubt they're realistic targets though, which might go some way in explaining why I don't often see either of them being mentioned. Shame really, both outstanding players from what I've seen this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be interesting alright I think it could happen but not all mangers play fifa

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez won't leave in January.

Which club is going to pay £50m?

Agree0 Disagree0

I could see Real Madrid paying 50 in a heart beat. Not to mention Chelsea. Apparently those clubs are wealthy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Madrid desperatly need a top class striker. Benzema would be sold and I can see them coming in Jan or possibly in summer.
Ronaldo, suarez, bale, How about that for a front three.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it would happen Liverpool would have one of the best attacks in the premier league but I rather doubt it Although Vela seems and Koke seem realistic options(We should have gone for Turan)

Nice to see our good start to the season hasn't wavered your unstoppable pessimism Ozone!

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve Clark knows what he is doing but Rogers must learn

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's see how optimistic you are come Jan 1 Dave when we're lying 6th 7th.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cissoko crap (Traore in disguise), Alberto crap, Aspas crap, Borini crap, Allen crap. No midfield, 8 centre halfs and one winger. Sahin and Assiadi been and gone. No midfield, Gerrard playing with a face on. 3 centre halfs and conceding from set pieces. We've been lucky, get ready for the fall. Beaten a poor utd team who lie 4 points off bottom, that's it. If we're in top 4 come Jan 1, I'll streak down Anfield Road.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're going to smash WBA into next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

You left out the following Ozone:
Highest goal scoring fwd in the league. Deadliest fwd line in the league. Outstanding young 'keeper at the back. Glen Johnson back from injury and in good form. Coutinho about to come back from injury.
Utd are 4 points off bottom 3 because we beat them. If they beat us, they'd be seven off the bottom and so would we. You need to give up the drink mate - your brain cells appear to be at a dangerously low level.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ozone I would pay good money for you not to streak.

Agree0 Disagree0

And probably the best strike force in the league, and why bet on your club to fail I just don't know.
And even harry has time for aspas lol

Agree0 Disagree0

OZONE, Everyone is allowed an opinion, what I struggle with is the comments you make I usually hear from opposition supporters, not people from the Liverpool family.
IMO time you supported a different sport mate. The only positive I see from you running down Anfield Rd naked, is we are in the top 4.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Ozone you forgot to add support for our players by fanboys such as yourself - crap

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2013 08:02:49
Liverpress.
We certainly don't have an outstanding young keeper. He has let us goals in and saved some, and he is pretty much vulnerable during set pieces.
BUt yes ofcourse, he would turn into a great player in future.
Have you heard about the young lad from chelsea whos in loan at athletico? courtios?. Now that's what an outstanding goal keeper is for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2013 08:07:48
Ozone back with a bang.
I Disagree to some of your points, Luis alberto is a superb little player, who has spark, And I would be happy to see him against WBA.
Aspas is still a mystry for me. 6 gmaes 0 goals and 2 shorts on target.
Borini, would be on loan to another club, sionce sunderland wouldn't extend it
Allen - No comments

UTD indeed were poor and will continue to be so, I could see many teams beating them this seaosn.
All the top 5 teams would beat them easily at their home. and would finish below us, that's certain.

Agree0 Disagree0

We outplayed The Baggies last year before being done right at the death - I am sure that if we convert the chances we are going to create we can look forward to 3 points on Saturday

Agree0 Disagree0

Philstine
Yo. I agree, But if ecerything works on prediction and stats, then we might would have won the league two seaosns back.
33 time we hit the woodword 2 seasons back, If all those went inside, we would have been champions.
West Brom are avery good tidy team, they did the double over us last season, with almost the same team, with countinho.
It would be a nail biting finish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Harry, but I disagree massively. Much credit has to go to Mignolet for our current position in the league. He has been superb for a young player at a new big club. He deserves any credit and praise he receives. I am afraid your overriding negative outlook clouds your opinion on the good things that are plain to see.

Not exactly. the cabaye goal should have been saved. and there were other two He should have done better.
common 35 yards. bounced kick. He isn't steven gerrard or ronaldo. should have saved it
and the goal against sunderland. should have lkept wide out.

and therz nothing with negativity here. chekc my opinion on suso, yesil, sinlcaor, Texeria, luis alberto.
I am not YNWA adam, to find positivity in everything what you do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is anyone knocking Luis Alberto? What the hell has he done wrong so far?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2013 14:09:59
Exactly, After all, I believe in him and Aspas. I don't know why am I so much towards Aspas. I smell the kids are going to rock anfield.
I was so much Impressed with alberto last at newcastle

I could point out that we are third this calendar year points wise Ozone, I could suggest that so consistent has our form been in the last 10 months, you can't possibly be a Liverpool fan, as if you were you would indeed be aware of our top 4 form,
Instead, I will say none of the above, and leave others to argue with a 'Fan' who doesn't support.

Hello fellow reds and eds.
Coady and suso are on loan from almost 3 month can you provide an assesment how are they doing at their clubs. I have no medium to watch lower leagues or la liga. Thanks in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Suso has already got 1 goal and 4 assists in 9 games for Almeria, and has impressed greatly so far this season with his passing and interchanging play.

Coady is playing for a struggling Sheffield United side but has featured in the vast majority of their games so far. The times I have watched him for the Blades, he has impressed me. Good, tidy, accurate passing as well as good positioning both offensively and defensively have been the best characteristics of his game this season. His tackling for the defensive midfield role he plays however has been known to leave a lot to be desired.

Two sensational stars in the making.

If you go onto livefootballvideo.com they have full games of most teams that are posted like 3-4 hours after the game's over

Agree0 Disagree0

2 gems

They'll do well to get any first team action at Anfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

GUVTOB, THANKS I'll give that a go, missing out on all the football since our TV network lost the rights to showing it. Cheers.

all i'm sure of. is arsenal v Liverpool game next week is going to be a game that we will all remember. its going to be a classic, we are both in leading positions and the way we are both playing its going to be a very tense game

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The way both teams defend this could be a billiards score.

Tinho back in training is great news. Anyone know if there's a chance of him starting on Saturday? I think it's going to be a tough game and by god we need him going off the Newcastle performance. If not I'd like to see Alberto given the nod ahead of Moses. The team needs a shake up, must win game can't afford another lacklustre performance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Oct 2013 16:43:16
Liverpool Fc to unleash, Suarez countinho and sturridge against Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully he's ready to feature against west boom. Get his sharpness uP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think Coutinho will be in the squad, but apparently BR said he was close. Definitely agree on giving Alberto the nod, believe he's better suited for the role than Moses. I thought Alberto added a bit more creativity when he came on against Newcastle too. Nice sharp passes and worked hard to pressure on defense. Moses turned over the ball a lot and seemed to kill the pace of attack trying to take people on- sometimes unnecessarily.

Hi Eds and Reds, I remember from when we were recruiting BR and there was a lot of talk about Marcelo Bielsa in the media. Anyone know what happened to him? Is he still with Bilbao? {Ed002's Note - Try Google.}

Afternoon fellow reds, just seen an interesting article online regarding Atletico Paranaense striker Ederson, 24 years old, already scored 15 goals this season. oh boy, what a player. Forget Muriel and others, this fella is top top drawer. yes, admittedly clips on youtube but I dig a bit digging and he is highly rated. And now the best bit, evidently available for 1 million!
For those old enough like me, I would liken him to Brazil legend Romario from 20 years ago. and he was one hell of a player.
Have a look lads. and if anyone has BR's number, drop him a text and make sure he's watching him!
YNWA {Ed002's Note - He won't stand a chance of a work permit.}

Ed2, living in london there's plenty of rumours going round regarding spurs! They have shelved their stadium idea and are now considering a 71.000 seater stadium? ( which they could easily fill, they regularly have an attendance of 36,000! They have a waiting list of 41,000 (my son being number 37,000 and something?) Plus another reputed 10,000 who can't be bothered to go on such a long list, such as my niece), its reported they are in conversation with the nfl? No idea if its to relocate or sue start a london team? They money they would earn would be enourmous! They were recently voted most popular team from england in the states, their shirts are out selling all other epl team! Have we ever contemplated this idea? Especially who our owners are? I understand wembley will host another three games next year but spurs are due to start their stadium in 2014 so plenty of time to negotiate? {Ed002's Note - Putting aside all of the numbers you mention, Spurs are looking for a 2 year or so build beginning next year. At the moment they are considering options within the same footprint. Shirt sales are of no relevance and I would be stunned if they were the most popular side in the US. A UK based franchise is still a pipedream with LA and LAs Vegas more likely to get franchises first. Anfield is not large enough for a US Football game to take place (although I guess if you made the Kop a lot smaller it might work).}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed002 - I think you are underestimating the possibility of a London based NFL team. There is a feeling now that it will happen within the next 2-3 years. LA may be first city to get a team, but they have constant issues with building a new stadium. The NFL will never move to Las Vegas due to legal sports betting in the state. I know that the UK has the same issue, but NFL is nothing, if not hypocrites. It's very possible that either St. Louis or Oakland move back to LA due to their own stadium issues. Jacksonville, whose owner recently purchased Fulham, could move to London. {Ed002's Note - There have been recent meetings with a Las Vegas based consortium about a franchise and, as you say, what is holding up LA is a stadium. I am not aware of any thoughts of St Louis or Oakland returning to LA but I have little interest in the game. Certainly Oakland would seem very unlikely. I think the chances of Jacksonville moving to London is about zip.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't understand why any self-respecting LFC fan would give 2 hoots about Spurs.

Are you sure you're not lost chiswick?

This is not the spurs page. Keep it LFC please.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh, I don't know Ken.
If Jackonsville ever re-located to Manchester, David Moyes would be a shoe-in for their defensive coach.

if suarez leaves we would either have to buy another striker similar to suarez if we are going to keep this 352 formation or change back to the 433.

in january or summer don't know but i've accepted he will leave, though hoping for the latter. if he does go then I hope we will use the 4231or4213 again and use the huge funds gained form the sale of suarez to buy two wide forwards. 1 left wing forward and 1 right wing forward.

el shaarawy and yarmolenko either side of sturridge with coutinho no10. teams would be crying mercy!

on the other hand sell skrtel, add a few more million to it and buy either one of the two mentioned above. slot suarez in the opposite wide forward position then sorted (short term fix).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree el shaarawy and yarmolenko or perhaps shaqiri

Hi all,

Probably one for Adam or the Eds but I was just wondering how Ilori is settling in? I know he is still coming back from his operation but has he been impressing in training/reserves?

Are we likely to see him loaned out in January to get some first team football? (Personally I would like to see him somewhere like Wigan, talented team and now very organised under Coyle, I understand this may be too much of a step down for him, but it might really help him)

Cheers in advance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ilori is an excellent young player. He is very composed on the ball, reads the game very well, is good in the air and super quick. I saw him in the reseves and he looked way too comfortable at that level.

A loan for the second hafl of the season would be a good idea. Valencia are interested. He could come back next yaer, when one of Skrtel or Agger and Coates leaves.

Does anyone know if jerseys from Thailand are real or authentic when ordering online? From Amazon online shopping. $40 seems a bit cheap for me. Any help thanks. {Ed002's Note - They'll be fake.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Definitely fake mate. Anything cheap from Asia will be non-authentic. Here in Australia, retail, I get the jersey (no number or name) for AUD$100. This is heaps cheaper than the Adidas jerseys which used to cost AUD$155.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright, thanks! I order one but it came out to be $80. Not from Thailand though.

The Boston Red Sox kick off the 1st game of The World Series tonight, why not wish them luck .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whys it called the World Series when only American teams play in it? {Ed002's Note - Because it was named after the New York World newspaper who were the original sponsors.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Because unless they win a huge pot of gold all they do is drain potential resources for the only club of the two I care about? I'd prefer the owners sold & pilled even more into us but it's unlikely at best {Ed002's Note - You are an idiot if you believe this.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely. We have a lot in common- a once-great team with strong working class roots, fallen out of the top tier of clubs, and then revived to their former glory by the shrewd sporting management of John Henry and his crew.
All we need now is all that former glory stuff, but hey- 3rd place after 8 games is a good start ;-)

Good luck to the Sox!

24 Oct 2013 13:47:47
dont know much about baseball but I seen on sky they won 8-1 good to see, a lot of people r very worried about money and forget that its sport to be enjoyed by everyone so well done to boston red sox.i for 1 will be cheering them to win the world series.

American AND Canadian teams.

Canadian team: singular. Expos are no more, even if you've seen their gear in shop.

Agree0 Disagree0

While not directly related to LFC, the fate of the Red Sox is atleast in theory tied to LFC. When they do well, revenues go up, and more money to LFC's owners. Can't be bad for LFC.

Go Red Sox!
