I got it tight on this page in the summer when i said Robertson was a steal at 8 million and has the potential to be brilliant, id like to see someone disagree now he is outstanding.

Believable22 Unbelievable11

24 Feb 2018 19:17:18
I’ve always been behind him too. 👍.

24 Feb 2018 19:17:59
Steven Finnanesque. And that is as big a compliment you can pay.

24 Feb 2018 19:24:01
Was interesting to see both him and Moreno on the pitch at the same time.

Was thinking that perhaps Moreno could do an alright job as a LM. Someone else on that side with a left foot.

Robertson isn't always great but I do appreciate his work rate. Final ball can also be inconsistent but he does seem to be improving on the whole as the season progresses. Not sure whether it was him or VVD in the wrong place for Antonio's goal, perhaps VVD.

Long winded way of agreeing that Robertson is doing alright yep!

24 Feb 2018 19:45:23
I was underwhelmed when heard we were signing Robertson. Not disappointed but it didn't take the breath away. I have been firmly behind him as I am with all lfc players who try 100%. I think we fans have short memories, lb has been a problem for us for years, moreno started this season quite well and I was firmly behind him but after 5/ 6 games he was making rash tackles and getting caught too far forward. Now, we finally have a proper left back, the kid is tenacious and leaves it all on the pitch, he is getting better with each game, I prefer him to Danny Rose as Rose is too small for a defender Imo. Therefore I would say Robertson is the best British left back there is. 8 mil! He is already a 20mil player and will be more like 30mil by next season. (not including Gareth bale of course, not really lb anymore)

24 Feb 2018 20:47:22
Lol I wouldn't go as far to say he is 'outstanding' he's proved to be a good buy so far for us there's no doubt about that but saying he's outstanding is going a little too far.

24 Feb 2018 21:13:56
Robbo is far from outstanding by any stretch. He was still caught out a few times and for some reason, makes inside runs when on the overlap instead of outside runs hence, clogging up the space that either of the front 3 should be attacking. That needs to change. Now having said that, Is he improving? Yes. Does he still a few more gears to go esp. with tactical and positional awareness, game intelligence and final delivery? Yes. But "outstanding" definitely does not describe him yet, IMO.

{Ed025's Note - i think for a work in progress he is doing very well indeed brover..

24 Feb 2018 21:51:50
Agreed 100% ed025.

24 Feb 2018 23:27:09
He was outstanding today. Motm, some brilliant crosses and always an out ball. Never stops and doesn't risk too much at the back. Antonio scored from his flank but to be fair Can was kinda caught in the middle or was strongly dispossessed, milner slipped at the same time. We were in possession and we all know how attacking we are.

25 Feb 2018 00:19:45
He seems to follow exactly what Klopp says, He covers some ground too, I wonder what his stats are for distance run in each game?
He must be up there with the best.

25 Feb 2018 01:31:01
Both fullbacks young and doing very well I must say!

24 Feb 2018 21:46:41
I would imagine he would have done a great job for you ed025 compared to Martina! I feel bad for Everton every time i see his name in the line up.

{Ed025's Note - i have to say that hes not the worst player in our team by a long chalk nostradmus, hes a right back playing on the left and has been an easy target for the boo boys mate..

25 Feb 2018 14:15:52
He is decent and better than Moreno.
Has room to improve a lot.
Need to see ED’s review to see what they think.

25 Feb 2018 14:18:54
Moreno is only good as a 5 min brother on the left wing. Ye robbo done well eh. Good on the lad.

25 Feb 2018 14:27:14
I'd look at VVD before looking at Robertson for Antonio's goal. VVD was miles away when Antonio got the ball; probably on one of his walkabouts that a lot of us have been dreading. But I shouldn't exaggerate, VVD has made a huge, positive impact on our defense.

25 Feb 2018 16:40:34
That goal was primarily down to Can losing possession in the middle of the park.
No need for it and that’s why our defence was caught out.

{Ed001's Note - correct but Robbo stood and watched as Can went down in stages instead of dropping back into position as a defender should. That is something he needs to learn from as he had a really good game other than that yesterday.}

24 Feb 2018 18:51:17
Nice work from the midfield 3 today.

Milner had more touches and made more passes, crosses, tackles, and interceptions than anyone else! Good work Milly.

Found Can was quite slow on the ball sometimes and didn't always play a pass quick enough but was mainly solid in the middle and we could miss his muscles and size when he leaves.

Nice to see Ox involved and charging forward aswel!

Final point, think TAA is still a little weak defensively but he has such a good pass on him and think he'll be great if/ when he does transition into midfield.

Onwards and upwards, not enjoyed watching Liverpool this much for a long time.

24 Feb 2018 21:11:12
HAHAHA nice one dude.

24 Feb 2018 21:23:51
All good in your world then🖒.

25 Feb 2018 14:23:48
England lost to Scotland? What the heck lol.

24 Feb 2018 18:07:37
I'm probably the only one that wants Man. Utd to draw/ win tomorrow. Would rather have them drop points elsewhere than have 2 teams on 56 points, just one behind us.
Good performance by the team today.
TAA is the player I really like though. I know Ed01 has said his future is in midfield, but I really like him playing as a full back. If we don't get a RB during the transfer window, I won't be displeased.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

24 Feb 2018 18:24:25
I agree with you mate, I want a draw too.

24 Feb 2018 18:59:03
Without a doubt we want a draw tomorrow. Jose tends to draw with the better teams so we have a good chance of them getting the result WE want.

24 Feb 2018 19:18:39
Usual hope : mass brawl in the tunnel, both teams fined and docked 10 points, players banned for rest of season.

Otherwise I’m not fussed 👍.

24 Feb 2018 19:46:20
City are heading that way fingers crossed. Sorry, always want united to lose. ALWAYS!

24 Feb 2018 19:46:21
That or meteor storm Ron!

24 Feb 2018 20:04:29
Maybe one day hey Ron. You can live in hope. Draw will be good but can see Chelsea nicking this one.

24 Feb 2018 20:32:14
It’s a horrible outcome either way.

I simply cannot ever envisage wanting Utd to win, unless it somehow helped us win a trophy.

Chelsea are just the blue Man U.

A draw would be best for us. with a couple of red cards each, particularly for DDG as he’s been like a smegging octopus for them against us recently!

24 Feb 2018 21:15:40
A draw is the ONLY result that would help us. A win for either side does not help us. Also, we need Spurs to screw up as well.

{Ed025's Note - liverpool just need to focus on what they are doing and forget other teams doing you any favours..

25 Feb 2018 01:33:35
Never want a united win, EVER.

24 Feb 2018 22:04:50
Again, agreed 100% ed025. I think if Liverpool can win 7/ 8 of our remaining 10 games we finish top 4, probably 2nd or 3rd. If we draw rather than lose the games we don't win I think it will be the difference that sees us finish 2nd.

I really feel if Southampton had sold Vvd in the summer we would be easily 2nd and not too far off City.

I will be disappointed if liverpool don't finish 2nd and make semi finals of ucl. Now that IS progress, all of a sudden people are talking about Liverpool and saying we can beat anyone over 2 legs and we have the ability to win ucl.

I was a bit disappointed that last summer we still failed to land some top targets despite us qualifying for ucl as we (to quote Danny Mills) "are not a big club" we ain't going to win the league this year but as long as we qualify for ucl next year I don't think we are going to have that same trouble. We simply must finish top 4. If we do and we keep all current players I think we will win the league next season.

Klopp has learned from last season. Last term we blew out by january/ February. This year he has rotated and kept the top boys fit. Fair play Jurgen, top man, top manager.

{Ed025's Note - liverpool are a very strong side SS and with a couple of additions i too believe they will be vying for the league next season, a top keeper and a quality playmaker and the world is your lobster mate..

24 Feb 2018 22:05:39
I agree Ed, 2nd is there if we do our job, as we still have both teams to play.

{Ed025's Note - very much so keith..

24 Feb 2018 22:58:04
Agreed ed0025.

24 Feb 2018 23:51:24
Agreed Ed025, a 0-3 humiliation would suit just fine. Several punctures moanrinho’s bus setting them up nicely for a defeat on away goals in UCL too. ⚽️🙏👌.

{Ed025's Note - the way i see it only de gea out of united,s team gets in the liverpool side 68, the reds are a top team whereas united are 11 individuals who play together, i just hope you dont pay them any respect and go to old trafford with the mindset of winning mate..

25 Feb 2018 08:34:49
Suspect it will be a draw which suits me. If it means we gain 2 points on Chelsea then great.

Also hoping we can deal with Newcastle and play brilliantly at Old Trafford and get a famous win.

25 Feb 2018 08:43:00
Hope so to buddy and agree De Gea would make us real title contenders, he’s carried the other 10 on his back for season after season.

25 Feb 2018 14:24:21
All I want is 3 points vs newcastle!

24 Feb 2018 17:37:03
Great result folks. We need to keep winning and try to get the second place up for grabs this season.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

24 Feb 2018 17:28:45
To be honest, I had my doubts when he first came but now Bobby Dazzler is my favorite player!

What movement, what intelligence!
Fantastic result today!

Come on you Reds!

Believable16 Unbelievable0

24 Feb 2018 17:23:54
What’s everyone’s favoured result tomorrow then, think I would take a draw and gain points over both of them.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

24 Feb 2018 17:52:50
I think it's always got to be a draw when the rest of the 'big six' are playing each other but if United win we are 4 points clear of Chelsea, if Chelsea win/ draw then we remain second. It's win-win to me.

24 Feb 2018 21:16:19
A draw, end of.

24 Feb 2018 17:03:43
Come on Chelsea!

Believable7 Unbelievable0

24 Feb 2018 17:09:43
And Palace.

24 Feb 2018 17:15:13
I think we are top four now, I really do. Utd having problems with their star player. We have to keep our boys up front fit but I just can't see us finishing fifth now.

Two summer signings, aoc and Robertson have taken some stick (I can't see why but they have) but they were both fantastic today. Well done lads, well done klopp and well done lfc.

24 Feb 2018 17:21:45
I've been more than pleased with the players mentioned let's hope they kick on and do well for the seasons ahead.

24 Feb 2018 17:28:13
Robertson has been a really good solid left back. Good cross for Mane today.

24 Feb 2018 17:42:40
Robertson is improving slowly but surely, i think he will end up being a key player.

Many players played really well today, Chamberlain, Salah, Firmino even Milner had one of his better games in midfield today, if Emre could be arsed he would be amazing, a goal and an assist and still so sloppy and maybe cost us a goal (on another day i think that's given as a freekick? )

Could've easily scored 4-5 more goals, which is great creating so many chances in front of goal. Mane and Salah could've both had hatricks! Also a mention to Karius who had 2 good saves in the first half, he played a slack pass in the 2nd half but overall a decent GK performance!

24 Feb 2018 18:14:17
Milner although limited has had 4 good games in a row. Over the last 4 games he has been one of our best players.

Ox today had his best game for Liverpool, well played. Hope he can really push on from here, his last few games were poor.

24 Feb 2018 19:03:05
Milner gets a lot of stick, I have been one of the doubters but he has been great lately. He is the type of player you want at the business end of the season, his experience is massive for us, we have a pretty young team. Fair play James milner.

24 Feb 2018 19:20:25
The two saves from Karius were top drawer.

24 Feb 2018 21:18:40
Esp. the first one, Frankly. The kid is improving and the hope is that he gets it done this season cos he may be no. 1 next season if Klopp decides so cos like it or not, HE is the one Klopp wanted to be first choice from jump and if he gets it done this season, he will be and we'll all have to get over it and support the guy.

24 Feb 2018 21:49:33
Karius has looked like a very competent GK in the last 3 games he has played, if he can keep it up in the remaining 13-16 games i would really loath the thought of Keylor flappity Navas replacing him as nr.1.

24 Feb 2018 17:02:24
Good evening ED002

In regards to the pan European breakaway, up to now you have told us there is going to be a tier 1 league consisting of 16 teams, and for now, thoughts of s tier 2

So, will there be a cup competition of some some discription for those 16 teams?

Which leads me to my next question. Do you know / maybe heard proposals of, or do you envisage all the other continents going the same way as Europe, and eventually there being a World Club Competion?

Or would that just not be practice due to he travelling?

Many thanks

Kemlyn.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There have been efforts to include clubs from elsewhere but that is not in the plans.}

24 Feb 2018 17:10:27
What are the thoughts of the FA? Are they sweating over this happening like FIFA are?

{Ed002's Note - UEFA is particularly concerned hence their supporting alternate proposals. Only one FA has ever attended any of the mrrtings for whatever reason and it was not the English FA.}

24 Feb 2018 17:24:29
Ah yes of course UEFA not FIFA. My bad

Thanks ED002

All the best mate

Kemlyn.

24 Feb 2018 18:01:50
Q for ED002?
Will the clubs involved be still making most of their money from the likes of sky and bt or will the majority of their money be made from selling tv or streaming packages directly to their own fans? Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - By the time it comes around there will be a lot of parties interested.}

24 Feb 2018 17:00:53
Well done Liverpool! Could've quite easily of been 10-1 that! 2nd spot! now we can relax for a week :) Bring on Newcastle, on our recent performances we can beat anybody.

Believable16 Unbelievable0

24 Feb 2018 17:09:36
We had SAS then the Fab Four now The Three musketeers.

24 Feb 2018 16:53:18
Another joyful watch today, 3 points to put pressure on United tomorrow aswell. Robertson and the Ox were brilliant likewise the front 3 with each of them firing once again. Lovely stuff Reds!

Believable11 Unbelievable1

25 Feb 2018 14:13:50
Be careful praising Robertson on here!

24 Feb 2018 14:10:43
I really wish Klopp wouldn't keep changing the centre back pair. Much more difficult games than West Ham at home are on the horizon.

Whatever pair he chooses needs as many minutes under their belt as possible. They've been offer for of lover a week, it can't be a fitness issue.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

24 Feb 2018 14:37:57
I agree 100%.

24 Feb 2018 17:19:14
I think it's a good idea to rotate at the back. This isn't 1985. It keeps the third or fourth choice cb warm so that when they are required to step in they do so with plenty of Premier league minutes under their belt. Also, if ALL the cbs have a chance of getting the nod that must surely make competition for places more lively, keeping our top boys putting in 110% each week. 1 goal in 3 games, must be working eh.

25 Feb 2018 14:11:30
Agreed! I don’t understand that line up! Our priority is the domestic league and we should field the strongest team possible. Does this mean Matip will start against UTD next Saturday? That would be a joke!

25 Feb 2018 14:12:26
Why oh why is there dithering about Can’s contract. Just get him signed! We need quality in midfield and there is no doubt he has that, for all the nit picking.

24 Feb 2018 13:50:38
What a top bloke Mo Salah seems. Just seen his interview on Sky. Nothing but joy and smiles from him. You see some players interviews and you think, Christ mate crack a smile. That dude is happy no doubt.

Good morning Eds/ reds - I woke up far too early today and I'm bored out of my head waiting for 3 o clock to come. Whilst we wait, predictions?

I don't think it'll be easy, no game is but I think we'll win comfortably I'm going to go for a 3-0 win.

Have a great day to all! (hopefully we can anyway)

Believable6 Unbelievable2

24 Feb 2018 10:33:13
I’d love a 2-0 and our defense to look strong.

24 Feb 2018 10:33:28
I can't see that happening.
It's the 25th anniversary of the great Bobby Moore's death and I believe that the Hammers will put in a performance to do the man justice.
He only won once at Anfield in 1963 in all his West Ham days, and it took until 2015 before that was repeated.
Hopefully we get a hard won three points today and it's a fitting match to mark the occasion.

24 Feb 2018 10:39:02
I see a slip up possibly 1-3 today. Hopefully we get the win and further our course for top 4.

{Ed025's Note - no slip up today walter, 2nd is very much on the horizon mate but winning at home against the likes of the "ammers" is vital..

24 Feb 2018 10:57:14
Don't get me wrong, a 1-0 would do me just fine but wouldn't do my heart any good until the final whistle so I'd rather us score a couple as early as we can. No excuses today, football is football, we are the better team, even if they do park the bus we have the quality to get past that, or I'd like to think so atleast.

24 Feb 2018 11:16:39
I don't like to do predictions but since negativejoker said we will lose 3-1, i say we will win 4-0!

24 Feb 2018 11:39:35
Nostradamus doesn’t like doing predictions? 😂.

24 Feb 2018 11:56:37
Don’t like the predictions or the fact we should win. Shades of Swansea again today. Would take scrappy 1-0 win.

24 Feb 2018 12:14:04
Well Nostradamus did predictions, i just like the guy's story.
I'd take a scrappy 1-0 as well!

24 Feb 2018 12:20:41
Solid performance today I think West Ham will revert to being a shambles at the back when Salah scores after 18 mins. From there we will slice through them have some shoddy finishing but a late goal from a young substitute wraps up the 4-0!

24 Feb 2018 12:32:30
We are sometimes prone to slip ups but increasingly rarely, and even less so at home.

I’m going for a 2-0.

24 Feb 2018 12:26:52
Ed025 mate long time but you are very much correct if we want 2nd we have to win at home no excuses.

{Ed025's Note - hiya barry, these are the games you have to win mate, its alright beating the citys and chelseas of this world but it means nothing unless you see off the lesser lights and thats been one of liverpools problems in the past..

24 Feb 2018 13:20:56
Think it’ll be a tough one today. They have a few key players balck from injury.

24 Feb 2018 13:23:34
We will win today.

24 Feb 2018 13:11:41
Totally agree I'd take a well earned 1-0 win. I like your enthusiasm edd 25.and really hope you are right.
A second place finish would be some really good progression under klopp. Most will know I am not the biggest klopp fan but even I would have to acknowledge his and teams progress.

24 Feb 2018 16:49:55
Well I am very glad I got that wrong. Good prediction Nostradmus2.0.

24 Feb 2018 09:32:54
IMO Lallana should start today. He is our best attacking midfield player and he will never get match fit sitting on the bench.

Henderson, Lallana and then it is a difficult choice. Can or Gini could be very good or just as easy terrible so I would play Milner just because he should give a 7/ 10 and the front 3 and Lallana should have enough to score a few goals.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

24 Feb 2018 11:00:54
Not sure about Milner. But in fairness, he was decent last time out. I'd like to see gini in and hopefully he'll have another game where we actually see him on the ball. if Henderson starts and finishes I'll be very happy. I really think it'll be telling the attitude of the lads with him in the side against a "weaker" side. Also think mane could have a cracker today. He's had a couple weeks to feel good about himself. You are spot on about lallana. Drop him in and get him fit.

24 Feb 2018 11:17:43
Hope Mane kicks on now and he gets back to how he was last season. Milner is limited but if you take the last 3 games he has been our best midfielder 3 solid games.

24 Feb 2018 11:40:01
Yep your right. I worry about his positioning against more clinical teams but he has improved quite a lot.

24 Feb 2018 11:57:16
I wouldn't change the team who beat Porto 0-5 until they lose.

24 Feb 2018 12:35:30
Back in the good old days you wouldn't change a winning team but these days its the norm for managers. So i agree with MK but i don't think Klopp will.

24 Feb 2018 13:05:49
Lallana’s days are numbered and I am afraid his fans are going to be dissppinted end of the season. When you say he is the best ACM at the club sums up our issue in the attacking third. We will yet again rely on the front three to bail us out like they have been post Coutinho! Has he not been replaced by AOC? I mean why did we buy him then? To sit on the bench?

24 Feb 2018 07:37:35
Last season the team came back from a sunny training camp and lost 3-1 to Leicester.

West Ham won't be easy today but we really need to beat moyse's Hammers. We have opportunity to move up to 2nd above those lot across the 62.

No room for complacency today

Come on red men!

Every time I hear about Salah he does nothing but impress me, on and off the pitch, what a man.

I think it's a huge problem the lack of police presence at grounds these days, what has to happen before real police are back in the grounds, it's ridiculous and an accident waiting to happen, there's far too many thugs around, stewards can't do much and why should they, they're paid peanuts. All it seems to come down to in my opinion is complete greed.

Lol love the picture Ed!

24 Feb 2018 10:42:50
Cheers for that ed. Salah is just a legend. Question, does anybody take anything Pele says seriously? One of the greatest but bless him, he does come out with some outlandish statements.

{Ed001's Note - he certainly does say odd things. Must be the viagra...}

Oh I know, it's about time, it's dragged like hell.

24 Feb 2018 09:26:58
very comprehensive ed001 thanks. Don't you think Milner has done a decent job covering for Robertson?

If TAA plays Robertson shouldn't need to get forward much anyway. Just as when Gomez plays we like him to say solid and in touch with the centre backs. Robertson should be told to play that way when TAA is playing.

{Ed001's Note - at times he does yes, but other times he is in the right wing position or anywhere but protecting the backline. He wanders far too much for a team that does not cover well at the back.}
