Use our rumours form to send us liverpool transfer rumours.

23 Sep 2017 20:36:55
Uncanny or fate? That top 5 is what I expected the top 5 to be at season end.

City or utd 1st n 2nd and us or Spurs 4th n 5th sandwiching Chelsea!

Let's hope one team moves position eh!

Who says money doesn't talk?!

23 Sep 2017 21:07:14
A think we will finish in top 4 i agree with ed01 if we get vvd in jan and put joe along side him and trent at right back with either ward or karius in goal will see us in good stead to be in champs league agen next yr.

23 Sep 2017 21:59:59
Utd spent 400m the last too summers as for city? U reap wat u sow some say!

23 Sep 2017 22:04:56
We'll see at the end of the season,
It may be the
"Sirshanks redemption"

23 Sep 2017 22:20:49
Sirshanks redemption suggests we have a recovery to make?! @! But I like it.! We will be inconsistent until the season end but that is our only chance of competing for the too 4 so I'm all for it.

23 Sep 2017 23:20:00
The whole 9 yards Sirshanks, that's LFC,

23 Sep 2017 20:12:56
After midweek game I did say this game will be turning pt and so it seem. From this game on we will see Liverpool on upward trajectory. Culminating in Mane's return to BPL game. We will not be beating teams 5-0 like Citeh but we will keep winning games to stay neck to neck with manc and ManU.

23 Sep 2017 20:45:08
Today's win was crucial and our boys all in all, did the job. Kudos to everyone and Klopp. We move on to Moscow.

23 Sep 2017 20:48:34
Except we're not neck and neck, we're 5 points behind 😄.

23 Sep 2017 20:59:49
Our attack will win us points this season but the defence and keeper will also drop us points along the way. We will potentially be neck and neck with whoever else is challenging for 4th.

23 Sep 2017 21:08:35
Ron city play chelsea next weekend hopfully the gap will bf 3 points mate.

23 Sep 2017 21:39:16
good 3 points today but I have got to say watching ward the other night commanding his penalty area and mignolet today even saving the penalty witch he give away he flaps at everything he looks a nervous wreck. its only my opinion.

23 Sep 2017 23:02:32
Before people get carried away about the attack, that same attack has had a worrying number of couldn't hit a cow's backside with a banjo moments this season and the same happened last. Needs the team as a whole to be far more consistent to not have to rely on others slipping up.

24 Sep 2017 01:04:57
Ron Keane, it's called a trajectory bcos we start from bottom to top. When we at top we will be neck to neck.

23 Sep 2017 20:12:08
Massive result for the team. Hopefully a confidence builder. Haven't read people's comments but am certain there will be a lot of "good buts" and "yeah buts" out there. Truthfully it's a good 3 points.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

23 Sep 2017 20:47:07
Spot on, Faith. At this point, who cares how we win? We are not in a position to poo-poo the way we got 3 points today. All the big teams won today so we were up against it and our boys delivered. Don't care how we got the win cos in our situation, a win is a win is a win. Up Da Pool!

23 Sep 2017 20:03:15
We won a game and dug in brilliantly and all I read and hear is that this player and that player should be dropped. Some of the people on here are an embarrassment. 99% of the anxiety that flows through this team is the fault of posters on social media. If you want your team Liverpool Fc to win trophys and play with confidence then get behind the them win, lose or draw. I think Shanks said something along those lines once.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

23 Sep 2017 20:33:54
What an imbarrassing post this really is! How old are you? Must be young to be as naive as you are!
Amean don't get me wrong am not one to keep criticising players every 5 mins, but reguardless of the win some of those players desrve every bit of criticism they are getting so for you to blame it on the fans on social media for how poor they are is plain idiotic.

23 Sep 2017 20:49:03
I think I said some and not all. Some posters on here have excellent views and comments. To bring my age into it is just laughable. Enjoy your evening.

23 Sep 2017 21:01:43
We've not won the league in 27 years. Must be social media's fault 🤦🏻‍♂.

23 Sep 2017 20:28:54
Well said CJ

Great win today. Players gave their all.
Can’t ask for more than that .

23 Sep 2017 21:22:03
Must be jayden pal. And liver it was a good win but u cannit blame the poor results on the fans thru social media lad.

23 Sep 2017 21:32:01
Cj u said 99% is fans on social media.

23 Sep 2017 22:27:06
Spot on, boys. We fought hard and overcame a lot of adversity esp. a ref who was working over time, to give LC the win, He was bl**ding awful. Some of the worst officiating crap I have seen for a whole. Credit to Klopp as well for sticking with his boys and supporting them through out the week full of abuse that they received.

{Ed025's Note - the only credit due bingo is to the supporters who traveled and paid good money to watch that game mate..

23 Sep 2017 23:07:01
Read the post again Jenny. I said 99% of the teams anxiety. If you're going to have a debate at least take the time to read the post properly. How old are you.? Must be young. 😏.

24 Sep 2017 00:03:14
No I didn't. 😏.

23 Sep 2017 22:40:57
Sorry, Ed25. Credit to the supporters as well who sang their lungs out, as well.

23 Sep 2017 19:58:19
I wish mr. Klopp would take into considration that there are fans above the age of 40, this is probably gooing to kill me!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

23 Sep 2017 20:10:08
I just text my mate the same thing. being a Liverpool fan is exhausting. 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈😂😂😂😂😂.

23 Sep 2017 20:48:50
I don't know why we never play boring footie after we go 2 goals down? We always have to keep things interesting til the very last kick of the game.

23 Sep 2017 21:10:48
Bingo i assume you mean 2 goals up buddy?

23 Sep 2017 22:27:43
Sorry, Heres jonny. 2 goals up.

23 Sep 2017 19:37:31
My heart starts pounding so hard once we lose possession!

23 Sep 2017 18:27:03
I'm assuming your on about when Okazaki scored there was 4-5 players offside 😳.

23 Sep 2017 18:30:45
lol maybe i didn't look at that part properly.

23 Sep 2017 18:31:17
Ugh Maguire is offside pal.

23 Sep 2017 18:31:33
Literally every Leicester player that came up for that free kick was offside when the call came in. Don't know why the commentators were making such a big thing of it. Linesman got it spot on. Knew we'd concede after that Vardy dive.

23 Sep 2017 20:13:06
Wiseryan, have you considered a career as Premiership official? You appear to have observational skills of exhausting set game officials. 🙈😂.

23 Sep 2017 22:31:28
Tomosllee, we don't concede if the ref and linesman do their jobs. Okazaki was wrestling down Migs blatantly in the box yet the linesman can't see that. There's nothing the defence or Klopp can do about that. The officiating was a crock of crap today. Taylor was working triple shifts to get LC the win. Pathetic ref, IMO.

{Ed025's Note - making excuses is a lot more pathetic than the ref imo bingo..

23 Sep 2017 17:55:33
Free kick is an art! The weight of the ball! The lob, the curve and the perfect curl!

World class Coutinho! That's why we kept him!

23 Sep 2017 17:55:02
Unreal from Coutinho.

23 Sep 2017 17:45:50
How many attempts on goal will we convert today?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

23 Sep 2017 19:04:47
probably 3 goals on 30 shots, 8 of which will be on goal. Leicester will score 3 from 3.

23 Sep 2017 19:31:13
Luckily 2 from 3!

23 Sep 2017 17:37:53
Signs already on the wall with lovren he's so poor.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

24 Sep 2017 01:34:24
You're quiet tonight mate, waiting for the next loss?

23 Sep 2017 14:22:33
Right let's settle it. Who would be your best starting back 5?

For me: Karius, TAA, matip, Gomez and Robertson.

That said, I felt Ward's claim against Leicester was the most decisive goalkeeping we've had for years.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

23 Sep 2017 14:42:32
Karius
Gomez - Matip - Lovren - Robertson

Think Gomez at RB is a good idea to help with aerial set pieces, and Robertson is more solid than moreno at LB and just as good going forward.

Lovren just tips it for me as I think Lovren at LCB and Gomez RB is just more stable and experienced, with better aerial defence at set pieces than having Gomez as a new starter at CB and TAA new starter at RB.

Also read somewhere the stats show Lovren and Matip have only lost once as a starting pair. seems unlikely but be interested if anyone can confirm that?

23 Sep 2017 14:52:46
Karius

Clyne matip lovren moreno.

I like Robertson but I think form is massive and moreno is one of the only players apart from salah and mane who is in some sort of form this season. The other three are simply the most experienced.

23 Sep 2017 15:12:51
We need to add milner to the back 4. I have been saying this simce forever.
With milner as LB our defense did not concede the way it is conceding now.

Mingolet

Milner matip lovern robertson

Would be my back 5.
TAA is definitely not ready to play at the top level.

23 Sep 2017 15:16:33
I ll have ED01 in goal.
Superred 91 at left back! He is great going forward. Bingo at CB, vocal, Captain, Leader, Legand. MK partnering him. He is calm and composed on the ball. Ings and things at RB. Think he has a good cross in him.

Better than what we have now

😄😄😄.

23 Sep 2017 15:40:23
harry you could be the defensive coach.

23 Sep 2017 15:59:13
Ward showed no fear when trying to claim the ball from corners, Migs does not do that at all and Karius tries but seems to flap half the time.

23 Sep 2017 16:01:15
So what we've cleared up is: klavan is nobody's first choice and we can't be trusted to pick a solid team either!

23 Sep 2017 16:48:57
Ninja wouldn't mind seeing Milner at RB but then you'd have to use that opportunity to play Gomez at CB with Matip IMO otherwise why bother?

23 Sep 2017 17:16:55
Ward taa masterson Gomez Robertson. We'll probably concede every set piece for a while but that's nothing new and at least they could grow into a unit.

23 Sep 2017 17:54:48
GK - not Mignolet
RB - not Clyne
CB - not Klavan
LB - not Milner

we should be good.

23 Sep 2017 18:16:31
As ruthless as it sounds I'm with Kaizer.

23 Sep 2017 18:41:52
Mignolet
Lovren - Matip - Klavan
Can
Henderson - Coutinho - Wijnaldum
Salah - Firmino - Mane

why not play 3 at the back and 4 in midfield. DM in between the defender and midfielder.

23 Sep 2017 20:10:25
Hi i have watched both games and gomez moreno lovren wouldn't lace any past defenders. robertson and clyne have goto be 1st choice full backs i don't like 3 like midfielders hendo wijn and can were within 10 yards of 1 another for vast periods if the game. my team would be Ward
Clyne matip lovren Robertson
Hendo Can
Salah Coutinho Mane
Firmino.

23 Sep 2017 20:25:43
No one has our best lb at lb :D funny stuff.

23 Sep 2017 13:33:14
Thinking about our league cup exit and the question I'm asking is; would I rather my team was in the milk cup or would I rather they had an extra two, three days on the training pitch a fortnight. When a team has lots of games in a season (4 tournaments) they don't have nearly as much time to train. I'm gutted for the kids but I'm not going to miss 3 games a week.

Believable4 Unbelievable7

23 Sep 2017 14:03:33
This club has won 44 major trophies and that includes league cups and FA cups. Stop making excuses. The whole point of expanding the squad in the summer was to compete in 4 competitions. Now that is gone league cup becomes Mickey Mouse cup lol. It is the same trophy you boast every hour in favor of the manager for taking us into the final.

If someone give you this trophy for free, would you not take it? It is not like we are certain to win the PL title at the expense of league cup!

If you are not gutted with the exit then I feel terribly sad for you!

23 Sep 2017 14:04:50
I'm kind of torn. It could have been a very good way for some of the young/ fringe players to shine a little - or at least get some needed game time at the top. But then again, there's really not anything to do about it and whilst it is slightly disappointing it is no way near the end of the world - and as you say, the extra time on the training pitch as a small bonus that we'll have to take.

I would have prefered a few extra runs in the cup though.

23 Sep 2017 14:28:39
What a stupid thought when we are in desperate need of trophies. Why not then just give up our CL spot to a team that has a chance of winning it so that our players can have an extra few days of rest as well this early in the season!

23 Sep 2017 14:29:00
I disagree. Players should be able to play 3 games a week quite comfortably. I mean, it's only 270 minutes a week!
Successful teams of old would compete on all fronts playing 60 games plus a season, and having nowhere near the squad sizes of today. The games used to be far more physical and the pitches far worse. Running around on a muddy pitch is far more energy sapping than anything they do today. All players managed it then.

23 Sep 2017 14:45:47
Will we also be relieved if we go out of the CL.

23 Sep 2017 14:59:09
Of course I'm making excuses but the extra training time is a bonus. Thing is mushroom it's not just the three 90 minute games. You have two days recovery from a game so if you're playing 3 matches a week that only really gives you one day where players have full training. I think tactically we are all over the place and people keep shouting that we are making the same mistakes but if the boys aren't training how can they fix it?

Wcd, in 2005 no one would've said liverpool have a chance in the cl but we won it. I can't agree that we are in it just to make up the numbers, we are in it so we can win it.

23 Sep 2017 15:01:45
Yet Liverpool fans like to relate to a treble under GH where the league cup was one of them.

23 Sep 2017 15:05:46
A footballers body is primed to perform at the highest possible level for 90 minutes. That's why when games go into extra time you see players on the ground struggling with cramp.

23 Sep 2017 15:14:32
Superred, why do you need 2 days rest after a game? Have you considered that all the 'tactical' training is part of the reason they're making so many errors? The players are maybe thinking "now, what was it the manager told me to do in this position compared to that? " Is it possible the players are getting confused with too many tactics?

23 Sep 2017 15:17:48
Im going to wash myself I agree with Harry's post completely.

Sad times. lol.

23 Sep 2017 15:18:13
Yes Stop making Excuses. That's what I said above.
So you ain't playing FA cup either?

23 Sep 2017 17:22:07
Sure just get them to play the middle game without pressing and focus on tika taka to keep up the stamina. No problem at all. 😝.

23 Sep 2017 19:51:32
I want to win every game but make no mistake, I prefer to win today and lose in the league cup all day long.

24 Sep 2017 07:35:29
The only good thing about that exit is it might mean less chopping and changing of the team, the other side to that though is that some players, like Ward might get little if any game time. In his case the positives he brings can easily be erased by that lack of matches.

23 Sep 2017 12:31:00
I feel it is only fair game if after the negatively biased video from yesterday, we all take a moment to watch a positively biased video today so that things are a bit more balanced at least!

Not world class, but Henderson can be just as brilliant at times as that video yesterday showed he can be bad.

It's way too easy to forget how good he can be when he's been out for 6 months with injury and is struggling for fitness and form.

Believable11 Unbelievable2

23 Sep 2017 12:42:13
So what we gained from watching both videos is Henderson is not consistent enough. Well that's a shock!

23 Sep 2017 12:48:16
No VPN, i think the main thing to take from both videos is that Highlight reels are useless ways to judge players as they can be tailored to suit the creators argument, and that the people who make these videos have a shocking taste in music.

23 Sep 2017 13:01:37
There's no doubt he can do it.
I have two issues with him from before the injury, one extra one since:

He doesn't show his talents shown in this video enough, he takes the easy way when he has the ability to to the difficult thing.
He's not vocal enough, I had the same criticism of Stevie G, Sami etc. but they led by example with performances of sheer class.

My latest issue is his positional sense, I understand it's a new role but it's not rocket science - you sit in front of your defence and cover them not wander off and leave gaping holes for the opposition to exploit.
He wanders off upfield at times or gets sucked to the wing like an under 11 when there's a throw in and it drives me insane.

I'm sure he's a great lad so it's nothing personal against him.
He plays for my club and I will support him while he does 100%.
I'd love him to step up starting today and take a game by the scruff of the neck, stick his boot in and show Leicester we're not soft.

23 Sep 2017 13:02:51
Never get tired of the chelsea goal.

23 Sep 2017 13:11:34
I think and hope he will Kev. I have a lot of confidence in Henderson to make it work in that holding role. My only fear is his injury to his heel, of which i am not as confident in a happy ending.

23 Sep 2017 13:26:52
I think Hendo will be the catalyst that sees liverpool jump start this season. I think he is going to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and show his worth.

Great player, on his day he is up there with the best in the league at what he does.

23 Sep 2017 13:28:26
In this day and age, he'll be well looked after.
Injuries are much much better understood now.
By the way, I scoured the net myself earlier for a positive or negative video of Nathaniel Clyne.
Slightly different option popped up to what I expected lol.

23 Sep 2017 13:49:15
Good shout out MK - videos like these proves absolutely nothing

I think it's fair to compare Henderson to what happened with Milner at the left back situation. He'll definitely get the job done and he'll work hard (as we know him) to get the very best out of it that he can - but in the end it's only a temporary solution to a temporary problem and next season we're hopefully (most likely) going to see a proper holding midfielder brought in.

23 Sep 2017 14:08:46
I can't believe my eyes!
My mind is blown.
In the last video it clearly stated hendo can't pass forward, he has no technique!
So how is there footage of him playing forward passes?
Showing technique?
Must be doctored footage, someone's super imposed hendo head on old footage of zidanne it's the only explanation lol.

23 Sep 2017 14:31:54
I thought the idea that a youtube video describing a player's strong or weak points has been termed a waste of times ages ago? What changed? Ah yes, the video in question was about a video about Hendo so clearly, this rule no longer applies. The hypocrisy is deafening.

23 Sep 2017 14:53:50
All this video showed is what the other one said. Yes the chelsea goal was a worldie. But it confirmed all he can do is kick long balls. Show the clips where he takes the ball and beat an oponent. Not one I have seen. All footballers should be able to kick the ball which he does well. Is that all he has in his arsenal. For a midfielder? Are you guys serious. I think he is a fantastic person. Class he deffinately is not. I support him when he wears the red shirt but you can't convince me that he is the type. of player that can take a game by the scruff of the neck and change it. Or rally the troops to step up a gear.

23 Sep 2017 12:30:35
not feeling great about the game today, not because I don't believe in the team, but on the prem preview the eds post when ed two picks us lose we win, but when he picks us to win we lose.

ed two predicts a four-two win for Liverpool

SMH.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

23 Sep 2017 12:38:48
We win today. Leicester will be feeling confident coz they beat the kids in mid week but salah and co is a different proposition.

On a different note, I reckon if we get no joy out of our keepers I can see us signing Hart in the summer. Just watched interview on focus.

23 Sep 2017 12:48:07
I pray we win today! I can't stand the excuse that will overflow in this page if we get beat by Leicester.
" Klopp is building something"
" He tried in the summer "
" We create chances "
" Migs is crap "
" defense is shambles "
" We are just 5 points from 4th place "
" we have no divine right to beat Leicester "
" Leicester are a good team and will take points from top 4 "
Lol!

23 Sep 2017 13:07:46
We'll win.
If I'm wrong, I'll ya me wig collection 😆
The players probably feel the same way right now but our luck has to turn against Leicester away eventually.
They can't keep scoring worldys against us.
So if the defence can just avoid individual errors, we'll have a good chance.
3-1 to us is my prediction - maybe I'm delusional though 😂.

23 Sep 2017 13:11:28
I should have added your name in that excuse list Olish 😄😄.

23 Sep 2017 13:33:46
And I should have mentioned that the wig collection was actually originally yours from your cross dressing days mate lol. 😂😂.

23 Sep 2017 13:36:15
We'll win but it will be tough, make no mistake about that. Wicked is already preparing himself for a liverpool loss. You're the very best sort of fan wcd.

23 Sep 2017 13:27:45
Tough game for LFC today. I'm going for 1-3 to the lads 👍.

23 Sep 2017 14:50:42
I can’t see how we will win? The likelihood is that the back four will be the same again, as both Matip and Lovren are doubts, so Leicester will be licking their lips at that prospect. They put two past ya without response in the week so they must fancy their chances against virtually the same defence and midfield and a weaker keeper than Ward.

23 Sep 2017 15:22:06
So you're not an LFC fan Mr. Dennis?

23 Sep 2017 15:40:41
So, The wicked tag on me Olrish! 😄😄😄
Dennis is an ambitious liveroool supporter who spots the glaring holes in the team especially at the back perfectly mentioned in his post 😄😄.

23 Sep 2017 16:15:36
I am was a miss type putting ya. Point is irrefutable though, with largely the same midfield and defence that got battered in mid week, how can we honestly go into that game with any confidence, simply hoping to outscore them is naive and silly.

23 Sep 2017 19:32:18
Fair enough mate. My apologies. Happy we won then? They're aging me every game. Don't know if I'll see out the season at this rate and I ain't even kidding!

23 Sep 2017 09:26:38
Question for anyone with the knowledge. Why is it that in England (the home of the premier league) we can only watch half the matches played. Yet in Europe channels like beINsports, and in the states channels like NBCSports have license to show all premier league games? Surely Skysports and BT Sport have the power to do the same.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No, they have no power to show live matches at the traditional kick off time of 1500. Clubs don't want that changed.}

23 Sep 2017 10:29:47
Same as we can get all nfl games for like 112 pound. No chance of us impacting attendances.

If 3pm kick offs where televised would you bother going the game for Liverpool vs hull?

23 Sep 2017 11:44:16
Top

If you are a liverpool fan and has tickets with you! You go to the liverpool game! Simple as that!

23 Sep 2017 11:49:17
I wouldn't mind an LFC channel that played all our matches but an hour or so later. Would save trying to find a decent site that's showing it.

23 Sep 2017 11:49:59
What? 😂 of course I'd bother going. What kind of a question is that?

If that is the genuine reason for the 3pm kick offs not being televised it is absolutely ridiculous. By that logic, we'll be playing Leicester in a half empty stadium tonight. Because why would you go to Leicester vs Liverpool if it's on BT?

I highly doubt that is the reason, and if it is, the Premier League clubs are just shafting their supporters YET AGAIN for (a completely irrational) fear of losing a few extra quid.

Not having a go at you TB, but i sincerely hope the clubs have a much better reason for not wanting the 3pm games televised than the fact that the fans who can't afford to or couldn't get tickets to go to the game, would get to enjoy watching the sport they are funding. That would be a disgusting revelation in my opinion.

{Ed001's Note - it is the reason, but not because of Prem teams, it is the lower league teams that would lose attendances.}

23 Sep 2017 12:09:24
I hadn't considered that actually Ed. I suppose for a lower league club, whose fans probably all have a favourite Premier League team as well, it could potentially be harmful. I still think it is an irrational fear though. And if it did prove to be an issue, the premier League could always filter some of its astronomical cash flow down into the lower divisions to make up for the few hundred pounds they might lose on gate receipts!

Our (the fans) money pays for this entire industry and they are withholding a part of the product, to protect their own cash. I find that morally wrong but perhaps I'm just over reacting. For people like me though who don't have a Premier league club within 70 miles of where i live it is just a bit gutting there is no football at 3pm on a Saturday. If it is the small clubs who are worried, why not show one of the 3pm games from the football league? I'd rather watch Bradford vs Colchester than Jeremy Kyle!

I think the fans are being robbed a bit now i know the reason behind this decision.

{Ed001's Note - they know it is harmful as they lose gate when the local big team is at home anyway.}

23 Sep 2017 12:16:28
I'm really angry about this now 😂 at 3 o'clock when i have to sit and listen to Jeff Stelling, Matt Le Tissier and Phil Thompson commentating poorly on the games around the grounds, i will just be burning up inside knowing that i could be watching Burnley and Huddersfield draw 0-0 😂.

{Ed001's Note - don't worry mate, just be thankful I get to watch them all.....}

23 Sep 2017 12:50:09
Git! Take me to Dubai with you!

{Ed001's Note - I can't rent you my spare room for a small fee....}

23 Sep 2017 13:13:05
Just share the bed with him Ed01 😉.

{Ed001's Note - he would have to buy me dinner and take me to a movie at least first!}

23 Sep 2017 13:35:01
If LFCTV did that Mikey I’d even take out a subscription to the channel. I can’t see any reason why they couldn’t.

23 Sep 2017 13:27:00
The Football League have just signed a deal where all midweek games are to be shown live on the individual teams websites, is that correct? That is great for fans who can't travel due to work commitments, however they are not showing weekend games. This is to protect attendances. I would assume they are getting subsidised for losing maybe a few hundred seats during the week but care not so much when they are getting paid for it.
The problem is that midweek games in the Premier League are shown on tv, but by different providers. We'd lose more money from tv deals from sky, bt etc than we would gain by streaming our own matches. A bit of extra traffic, maybe subscription fees. I'd be interested though. Paying one subscription for my sport would be better.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, Sky will be streaming football league games for clubs - obviously this is nothing to do with Liverpool at this time.}

23 Sep 2017 13:30:11
Of course I'd go.
The live match experience is infinitely better than watching on TV. That will never change 🤝.

23 Sep 2017 13:57:21
Ed I'll take you to watch 50 shades of red 😉.

{Ed001's Note - is that a real thing? Actually I probably don't want to know what it is thinking about it!}

23 Sep 2017 14:17:13
I hope it isn't a real thing. I dare not google it though 😂.

{Ed001's Note - I will let Harry do the googling.}

23 Sep 2017 17:18:16
You all are invited to the states to watch all the games, NBCSN and NBC televise them all. I pay for a higher DirecTV subscription to watch LFC. Out of curiosity does anyone know how much NBC pays for the rights to broadcast the Prem?

{Ed002's Note - It is on a sliding scale and the NBC contract cannot be compared to other broadcasters as it is a six year deal rather than a three year deal. In total the amount is $940M and change.}

23 Sep 2017 08:14:29
Wouldnt it be great to have a liverpool-runours meet up.

We could all meet up at the Sandon 😂 hell of a drive for me but i will argue till i die that it's the best pub I've been too!

{Ed001's Note - lot more of a drive for me these days!}

23 Sep 2017 09:25:09
The teams are decided. Myself and Ed025 as one pair while MK and Ed01 as a team. Waro being ten neutral and Ed02 the referee. The topic for the day is Jordan Henderson the Central Midfielder!

23 Sep 2017 09:19:36
Me and Waro seriously? Btw it would be awesome to meet everyone especially Ed025 my darling.

{Ed025's Note - it will happen one day harry, and the sandon is a good choice as it has a smoking area second to none, its a bit near the theatre of nightmares for me but im sure i can handle it mate..

23 Sep 2017 09:58:27
Or the Lutine Bell on Breck Road
.
£1.80 a pint, that's my pre match watering hole 😎.

{Ed025's Note - used to be a great area drogi and that was one of my old haunts, i dont know if i could make that one though mate...as i cant find my bullet proof vest anywhere.. :)

23 Sep 2017 10:11:29
£1.80 a pint, is that for cola? Down here in the south east it around 5 quid a pint.

23 Sep 2017 10:40:19
I wish pints were as cheap a a fiver! More like £6.50 where i am.

Absolute con artists. Harry, let's mot open up the Hendo debate if we ever meet 😂 i want to remember the day i met you as a good one 😉.

23 Sep 2017 09:22:40
Just use your Stargate Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - never again, that was how Harry found the site!}

23 Sep 2017 11:10:59
1.75 a pint here. that's lager, bitter AND cider. let's have the meet here 😀.

23 Sep 2017 11:46:12
Also I want Negative in the list! I am dying to meet him. Myself, Negative and Ed025! What a team son! What a team!

23 Sep 2017 11:51:12
I wonder if Harry will bring all his alter egos?

23 Sep 2017 12:25:36
What about Slaters £2.50 a pint and they have personal shoppers kiddermate.

23 Sep 2017 12:19:41
6.50 a pint? What is it liquid gold?

23 Sep 2017 12:51:41
I ll bring a big poster of Kovacic Mikey ☺️☺️☺️.

23 Sep 2017 12:53:49
Not liquid gold, it's pubs run by inbred village idiots mate.

23 Sep 2017 12:06:43
Couldn't ed2 simply fly a load of us out on his private A380 and put us up in one of his several mansions on the west coast of the states? If we bring our own booze surely that'd make us quits.

23 Sep 2017 13:30:57
So is that it then Harry, have you dumped me already 😔.

{Ed001's Note - you are last week's Kovacic now Ron.}

23 Sep 2017 14:02:25
Don't take it personally Ron. He does the same thing with all his Hamsters as well; Mateo, Luka, Lorenzo, Nemanja, Miralem, Marek and Naby. None of them lasted longer than a month except Mateo who sleeps in Harrys pocket.

He's got a rat called Luis as well.

23 Sep 2017 15:19:28
£1.80 for a pint feck me got to be something wrong with that surely? Spit shine glass cleaning or out of date ale? Maybe everyone's that scared to go so got to get them in some how 😂 Love out the area now but it always used to be a right laugh in these gaffs.

23 Sep 2017 15:26:59
Oh Ron! Never mate! You are 100% in the list! ☺️☺️.

23 Sep 2017 11:49:03
Ed25, it sure is rough lol.
When I drive, I always park my car on Richmond Terrace, 10 min walk to the ground.

It would be brilliant to meet up with the Eds.

Company I work for has an office in Manchester and London so I do see those expensive prices I'm down quite a lot.

Parson's Green, the White Horse ( Sloany Pony ) had Ken of my favourite beers, Harvey's Sussex, also Dark Star!

Great little pub called the Harp just up from Charing Cross, again, a brilliant selection of beers.

23 Sep 2017 08:02:15
Serlously need to beat Leicester tonight! Fed up of getting beat at their place and seeing that grin on Vardy's face.

Young harry wilson at it again last night. First half hatrick against spurs. Surely the lad deservers a shot in the first team at some point this season. Great young talent.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

23 Sep 2017 11:55:16
I read yesterday that in his last 43 games he has 34 goals and 17 assists. He is playing like the Lionel Messi of youth football 😂 obviously he is too good for that level. He has just git back from a long injury lay off and has 5 goals in his first 2 games.

I just fear for him stepping up to the men's game though. He lacks raw pace or strength and that will see him getting bullied when he first makes the jump up. I personally would have the patience to wait for him to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League, but the boo boys would be out in force if he didn't hit the ground running.

23 Sep 2017 05:53:00
Sorry for posting this on the rumours page lads but I'm in desperate need. Currently in Arizona on holiday and wondering what channels the game will be on tomorrow, 9:30am here, I've checked all over the internet and can't get an out and out answer surrounding listings, can anyone help? Would be much appreciated!

BT in UK! Mus be on any of the NBC in states!

23 Sep 2017 06:48:38
NBC I am in Vegas but doubt I will get away with watching it.

23 Sep 2017 06:50:52
Liveonsat. com tells you all the channels that are showin matches.

23 Sep 2017 09:22:06
Jamiemarshal, it's on nbc USA, nbcsports. com and nbc sports live.

23 Sep 2017 12:33:11
NBCSN channel 223 on Time Warner Cable. Any Irish bar normally, has PL games. Google will be very helpful here.

23 Sep 2017 13:14:30
Hey mate. I'm pretty sure this game is on the main NBC channel. Usually if a big team plays the late game, they move it to NBC network. Which is good, because basically every tv subscription in America has That channel, where NBC sports network is hit or miss because it is so new. good luck mate!

23 Sep 2017 14:59:17
Live in Colorado and the game is on the local nbc channel so you should be set.

23 Sep 2017 00:07:04
so ward played Tuesday looks like migs back tomorrow then karius Tuesday in russia i guess i wish klopp would stop changing all the time I would of give ward a run of games thought he did ok the other night. swapping and changing all the time can't help anyone's confidence.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

23 Sep 2017 07:24:18
Or may be it does. Maybe klopp is giving a free pass for next 9 games to the keepers, 3 games each, the one who performs the best gets to be number one for the rest of the season.
I don't see anything wrong with it, automatically selects the best keeper and others can't complain.

23 Sep 2017 09:00:56
Akshit

What is the point in playing Mignolet ever again! We have unanimously agreed he is crap! To play him again makes the manager also crap! How many more excusss are you going to put forwrard in favor of Klopp lol!
Did we not pass this bill ". Migs is crap " and he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team lol!

23 Sep 2017 10:06:49
It may not be a great decision but it does not make him a crap manager in its own right. Quite a silly statement. I am not sure on why we wouldn't be prioritizing determing if Karius and Ward are good enough given we know that Migs is not but no need for the cheap dig.

23 Sep 2017 11:16:02
agreed with harry. migs should never play for us again. He MAY do well for a villa team but liverpool? No.

23 Sep 2017 11:48:29
So what does that make him Andy lol! A manager who chose poor players! '

23 Sep 2017 12:14:46
The constant swapping and changing of personnel in our defensive unit (frequently due to niggly little injuries it appears) has to be one of the contributing factors to our problems. I think it is genuinely a mistake from klopp, the issue should have been decided in pre season and one of the keepers should have been firmly made number 1 and that be that for 10 games (I would accept a change for the league cup) . I really feel for Ward now that we're out of the cup, if it were me I'd give him a shot at the number 1 slot.

23 Sep 2017 12:36:08
Migs should be binned and never played again, period. He is a problem and always has been. Klopp has messed this GK thing up big time. Ed01 has said he is slowly phasing Migs out BUT I disagree, completely. Why would you slowly phase out a crap GK? So you don't hurt his feelings? Nonsense. Get rid and move on to the other two as they are miles better than he is.

23 Sep 2017 13:59:46
You don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Ferguson made errors in judgement and Rafa certainly made plenty, as has Jose. That does not make them crap managers, that makes them capable of crap decisions Harry. You have made errors in judgement, does that make all of your or your overall decision making wrong? No. That is all i am saying, Harry.

22 Sep 2017 22:34:30
Ed001
Why is it you think coaches in football look for "players who follow instructions" when in most other sports coaching has gone completely the opposite way towards instilling constant decision making above all. Rugby Union and hockey prime examples - Drills and routine replaced by playing what is in front of you and making decisions. Rugby and hockey both changed because coaching and drills can only ever get you so far. You don't lose that much but you don't win enough when it counts either?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - because you see it constantly on the pitch, the ones getting picked each week are not the ones who are the best players but the ones who are best at following instructions. We have people like Pep, Mr. Micro-Management, lauded as the greatest coaches in the world, rather than someone like Bob Paisley, a genuine great, who did want his players to make the decisions. What we have now are coaches who think they are playing chess rather than managing. This is why everyone is on Wenger's case, as he sits and trusts his players to make the decisions during a game, rather than saying well done. Yet they get all excited about Klopp, Conte and Pep stood there constantly instructing players. Pep in particular is one, you only have to watch a coaching session of his or a match, he is constantly there demanding the players do exactly what he says. Then there is Pulis, Hodgson and Allardyce who all drill their players over and over to do exactly what they want them to do without any thought.}

23 Sep 2017 07:32:22
Graeme Souness said he pulled Joe Fagan after he'd joined Liverpool and asked I've been here a month and nobody's told me what to do. Fagan replied, we spent all that money on you and you need us to tell you how to play football.

23 Sep 2017 12:37:36
Nice one, Mungus. The coaches right now are micro-managers and even in business world, micro managing is becoming a thing of the past as many organizations (I worked for one in the banking industry and IT industry) are empowering their employees to take charge of situations cos they have been sufficiently trained on the policies and procedures. The same applies to football.

Paisley per Ed01, empowered his players to take charge of situations on the pitch as he trusted that they had been well-prepared for the game to handle situations that occur. The manager cannot do everything. This lot want to do everything and that is the problem.

23 Sep 2017 13:16:56
Isn't Ancelotti known to be more like that ed001? A figure it out yourself kinda manager?

{Ed001's Note - yes, mate.}

23 Sep 2017 13:27:06
I have to say I was quite keen on the idea of Ancelotti managing us. Don't get me wrong I still think we got the right guy, but I certainly wouldn't have been displeased with him either.

{Ed002's Note - Carlo Ancelotti would have been a good choice but he told the club that he would want to see the spine of the team (goalkeeper, centre backs etc. replaced in order to win the league whereas Klopp said he could win the league without making those significant changes - hence he got the job. Ancelotti is today complaining about the Bayern players failing to follow his instructions causing the issues against VfL Wolfsburg, although talking to an ex-player about the game this morning he blames Carlo for not adapting to the changing game - and the changing tactcs from Martin Schmid who should be credited with the work he did.

CA will likely be open to a return to the Premier League and that may well be earlier than planned.}

23 Sep 2017 15:05:13
That's interesting ed002. I knew of problems with Carlo and Bayern, and after ed001's comments about Guardiola being a control freak, it does seem a strange decision to replace him with a polar opposite manager like Carlo. I think if this Klopp situation were to turn ugly somehow, he would be a good shout. That being said, I hope we are a bit more patient with Klipperty; I don't like firing managers unless its absolutely necessary.

I take it you aren't too convinced on Ancelotti either ed002?

{Ed002's Note - Carlo Ancelotti is a really nice guy and a fine manager - but a very, very different type of manager to many.}
