Ed, Just wondering on Bellamy, I know he is a true professionally but the lads a Cardiff boy through and through. I know if he played he do his best but it would be hard for him. He's came out and said that medals mean nothing to him so I'm wondering if he's setting himself up to not start. Just wondering on your thoughts on the matter -McMenemy
{Ed002's Note - Players have to play against their childhood and home town club all the time - why would CB not just suck it up and get on with it likel everyone else does.}

I doubt that he doesn't want to start, I'm absolutely sure he wants to, the only thing that would stop him is Kenny. Because of the fact that we play Arsenal a week after and we have to ration Bellamy's games, I don't expect him to start, but like Carroll said, we have to play them as if they're the best, they got to the final for a reason, so I don't expect some people to start, such as Kuyt and Carra who we would all love to see.

RenegadeRed

He just said he wouldn't be judged on his medals in his career...he doesn't display trophy's and shirts etc, in fact he regularly scores against his former clubs, he just has some respect for them... not that he doesn't want to play

I guess i must be wrong, but allways thought 30 secs were added on to the end off the half for each sub, just watched utd v ajax 6 subs second half but only 2 mins. As i say im probly wrong just allways thought that, eds do you or anyone know?

23 Feb 2012 21:27:15
Total respect to Ajax, They believe in playing football the way it should be and boy they always do it good.

23 Feb 2012 21:10:32
can someone explain why people look at players who are not getting a game for some team and then say they will be great for liverpool, surely if they cant play for other teams they will not be good enough for liverpool. we need to keep improving not buying mediocre players

True alot of the time, except when the likes Messi and Iniesta and Xavi are keeping you out of the team. Being second best to them could still mean you're prett handy. Nick.

Ed what do you think about Tadanari Lee from Southampton. Do you think he could be a player

One of the hottest properties in Asian football arrived at Southampton keen to push Saints into the Premier League.

Tadanari has established himself as a leading light in the J League, scoring 15 goals in 32 Japanese top flight games during 2011, whilst a memorable winning strike against Australia in the 2011 Asian Cup epitomised the quality that he will bring to the English game.

After awaiting clearance from his homeland to play in England, Lee was able to rubber stamp his free transfer from Sanfrecce Hiroshima late on in the January 2012 transfer window.

The 26 year-old forward put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal (with the option of a further year), rejecting several advances from top flight European sides. {Ed001's Note - no idea, not seen him play sorry.}

Ajax Fans singing... Their is only 1 Luis Suarez..
Big love x
Phooey

Disgraceful

This surprises me as he forced them into selling him after biting an opponent he will cost you mark my words

He didn't
Dutchmal

Ed002 stated b4 that Suarez DID NOT force a more ur wrong

MJ

Funny how after almost every game, the opposing manager mentions how dangerous Suarez is and how he is a fantastic player, and then you lot come out and say how he's a liability and how he's going to cost us. Sure smells of jealousy.

23 Feb 2012 20:39:50
Just had an interesting debate with my 10 year old about Suarez and how cultural attitudes vary so much towards cheating. As we know, many South American countries celebrate the cheat, praising them for using cunning for the purpose of winning ("hand of god").

Following are two examples of cheating which pretty much ended in the same result:

Manuel Neuer watches Frank Lampard's shot go over the line in 44th minute. Goal not given, would have brought England level. Germany go on to win.

Luis Suarez "handballs" off the line in the dying minutes of extra time to deny Ghana certain victory. Gyan misses the penalty, Suarez is sent off, Uruguay go through on penalties.

Who is the most dishonest, Suarez or Neuer?

Sir Masher

Suarez made a comment that is not acceptable in england do you understand this, that is why he got the ban cultural differences has no bearing on this. i assume your son told you this tho

Neither although i'd love to say neuer). They both had the interests of their team neuer could have told the ref the ball went in but that would mean his team would not be at advantage as they currently were.

Suarez - neuer did nothing wrong

Wasn't referring to Suarez ban at all - different subject altogether.

Sir Masher

The only reason that the handball made it in the headlines, is it was in the world cup. Handballs on the line happen quite alot. I seem to remember someone clearing a goal bound shot off the line against Liverpool with their hand in the last minutes of a match, stopped us from winning. Wasn't seen by the ref. It's an instinct to stop the ball. Press also loved it because it was that crazy Uruguayan who bites people that did it. A nice ready made villain in Suarez. Nick.

Stephane henchoz would love to comment, but can't on fear he will incriminate himself :o)

Neither player did anything wrong. Neuer has no obligation to tell the referees anything. It's the job of the referee team to get a call right.

Suarez made a professional decision and he got a red card as a result. Just like the recent events, the man received his punishment and took it on the chin. However, no one seems to be able to move on.

Certainly a lot of the fans won't move on but I think the Eds are right that we will lose Luis at the end of the season.

Seem to remember Thierry Henry did a handball for France. Does he get the same stick as Suarez? {Ed002's Note - He received an enormous amount of criticism for it. Try and get over the paranoia.}

Hi Ed's, does anyone know if we are in the home or away dressing room on Sunday? Just wondering what colour kit we will be wearing cheers Rik

In case we clash with the blue of Cardiff?

Wait what??? what kit clashes with Cardiff's blue and why would we not play in our red kit -McMenemy

He means are we the home or away side, I have no idea sorry.

how come this is the busiest site during the daytime hmmmm

Because us fans follow our team no matter what else we have going on, and i work bloody hard mate so p**s off.

Most fans

This site is the busiest all the time, by a long way. I wonder why hmmmm

Because we are the best fans

MJ

Because most people sleep at night!

Because vampires hang out here!

23 Feb 2012 18:27:39
oh how i wish i supported you guys in the carling cup final big wow it proves a point when your playing a championship team ( of whom you may probably lose to) you guys are behind newcastle bloody hell and they sold you their best player yes we at spurs are really jealous of you. but i will say in earnest good luck sunday and enjoy your day.

derbyshire dave

Weren't you just posting on Chelsea site? Didn't make much sense there either!
KJS

Oh Davy boy are you Jealous, Green with envy, Mentally ill or just an all round inbred get off our page and support your own team instead of making us pity your mental state... Go on mate back to your institution its Taco thursday have something to eat after all your typing patheticness you will need some nutrients

MJ

derbyshire dave, You really need to get a grip lad your post was pathetic at best.
Did you actually stop and read it before you sent it as it made very little sense !
PS At least were in a cup final again can you remind me the last time spurs were in one and the last time they won one ?
Jealous of us is exactly what you are lad !

I guess you were lucky to draw with Stevenage 'aye Derbyshire Dave?

Alex

Derbyshire dave, just what point are you making? Is it just gloating because you're above us in the league? If it is I would make the most of it, it's been a long time since it's ever happened before and it'll be a long time until it happens again once you lose your manager and your best players in the summer.
Or is it jealousy because we're in a cup final?
Either way you don't support a big club so obviously you don't understand how you're supposed to behave around the big boys.

Derbysire dave ur club is a classless, historyless and trophyless shave. LOL

Spurs fan? Stevenage, is all needs to be said

cozinoz

Omg A Spuds fan here!
dave dear go on ur own page as people supporting spuds are getting extict! help urself save urself

I think our great club let it's self down yesterday by not buying tommy smiths meddle collection and giving him them back.This is an absolute legend having to sell his medels and I defo think we should of done somethin for the anfield iron.
BIGGY SMALLS

He was a legend but times change and as he said himself his memories of playing he'll never forget, sometimes you just have to put your family first and there's no shame in that... I'm sure the club had the opportunity to buy this stuff but it also gave die-hard fans an opportunity to get a hand on a piece of the clubs history... As for the club doing something for him, thats nonsense

Rocky

He wasnt selling them out of need

Ed i have been having an argument /discussion with Sydney of the United page about his view on Suarez forcing a move from Ajax and i personally dont think he did, i have searched the web for any proof of suarez forcing a move away and cannot find one, Do any of the Ed's know if he did. It is hard to have any banter with him and his cronies as they always think they are right and every Lfc fan is wrong and i should stick the banter to people who are good at it apparently, So please tell me if you can if i am correct or not as the internet has not revealed the answer.

Many Thanks

MJ

P.S He also says Suarez doesnt dive he simulates (which is worse apparently) but as far as im aware a Dive is a simulation of a foul... guess he did not have a decent education. {Ed001's Note - he did ask for the move to be made, he also made it clear he wanted to go to join us and would not be happy to stay with Ajax. But he didn't go banging down the door and ask for a move to be made to Ajax's major rivals before changing his mind after being given a monster pay rise. But then, what kind of low life would do something like that? As for the diving thing, simulation is the same thing, it was just how it was worded in the rulebook.}

He never forced the move, he simply wanted to improve his career and become a better player, he's not one of these players that moves for money either... Why does it matter if he forced the move or not anyway, he's at our club... If its on the United page why not mention that Rooney wanted a move unless he got £250k a week to stay at United, there's a exclusive for you ;)

Rocky

Was just getting the info from the Ed's Rocky as i could not find it on the web and Sydney was annoying me with his yabbering about Suarez so atleast next time he starts going on he is wrong Yippeeeeee (not that it would make much difference he still thiks he is a football knowledge Guru)

MJ {Ed002's Note - Just to be clear, it was "stimulation" not "simulation".}

Do you have a small soft spot for suarez Ed

MJ

You've got to start simply with Sydney,
A,B,C,
Ball - round
1,2,3,4,5 times

He never forced a move, but he made it clear he wanted to move on to better things and obviously he saw Liverpool as a good opportunity. There's no proof of this as such, but interviews after the transfer indicate as much and the price he was sold at was lower than what Ajax were initially demanding, which would suggest some sort of change in circumstance during negotiation.

Martin

Is Sydney not a girls name??? Pauric

23 Feb 2012 16:19:58
Do you guys think the home grown player rule has had anything to do with the English teams doing so bad in Europe maybe the English home grown are not as good as the rest. Pauric {Ed002's Note - I don't think the home grown rule has had any impact, but you are right in that the English teams are collectively doing much worse than they have for many years. This may well reflect the league this year. We have seen a much more open competition with more sides in with a chance of grabbing a European place than ever before, but a generally poorer quality product. There is no doubt that whilst Spurs, Newcastle and Manchester City have shown real improvement, Manchester United look a decent but hardly dominant side. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have not been in any way consistent and clearly many of the fans are becoming frustrated. Taking this forum as a reasonable cross-section of fans, we see the pendulum swing from pole-to-pole pretty much every week.}

23 Feb 2012 16:05:55
Team for Sunday.
.........................REINA
JOHNSON...SKYRTLE....AGGER....ENRIQUE
KUYT......GERRARD.......ADAM....BELLAMY
..................SUAREZ..CARROLL

solid ultra reliable midfield 4. Every player in the team capable of getting a goal apart from Reina and Enrique of course but their that good we'll let them off.
Downing and Henderson missing out because their goal shy.
kidmillions

I think Downing will start instead of Bellamy, Bellamy's too emotionally tied to Cardiff, and Downing played well in his last game. Other than that, I agree with your team. Shame Kelly won't start, he's done well in this competition.

Rugby Parker

Anyone know what cardiff's midfield are like?
are we likely to need spearing in there just in case or do you think gerrard and adam will handle it?

No cover for the defence. Neither Gerrard or Adam are defensively responsible and that could lead to problems given Cardiff usually play an attacking mid alonside 1 or 2 CMs.

Martin

I'd go with:
Reina
Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
Gerrard Spearing Adam
Suarez Carroll Bellamy

E.H LFC

No cover for defence against Cardiff? Carra won't be playing we can press high up the pitch to dominate possession.
kidmillions

sorry ed - really apologise if i come over a bit of a buffoon but this is my first day on the site and am interested in the johnson leaving rumour. Could you please navigate me to the search function. Again i apologise if this is wasting your valuable time but as only learning about this site it would be most appreciated. Thank you very much ed. {Ed002's Note - If you look toward the top of the page, to the right, you will see the Search box.}

Sorry Ed the word you used was 'trivialised' , not 'belittle'. point still stands though.

Dara D {Ed002's Note - I disagree.}

23 Feb 2012 14:06:39
Hey ed, is matt phillips a bit like antonio valencia? Someone who can whip in a good cross?
Indian Buzzer {Ed002's Note - I really don't want to get in to making comparisions, but no doubt others will have much to say on the matter. But the interest is certainly there.}

Do u rate him ed?
Indian Buzzer {Ed002's Note - I don't know much of him but the Eds who do think he is a decent player.}

23 Feb 2012 14:06:00
More of site suggestion:

Could we have an "Agree with Ed" button?

So many times you get short post you dont really agree with followed by some quality information provided by an Ed which you do want to agree with. It would be nice to be able to disagree with the post but support what the Eds are saying.

Can also be the other way round too so prerhaps a "Disagree with Eds" button might also be nice =P

PDUK ..... roll on sunday! {Ed002's Note - Obviously pushing the "Disagree with Ed" button would result in a ban.}

Agree with Ed

I disagree ed

Agree with both

23 Feb 2012 13:49:57
Whoah whoah whoah , hold your horses ED002. please be very careful when you say things like that, and read Eccelstone's quote again. A silly thing to say ? probably . Controversial ? certainly. But his comments did not belittle the event , however misguided they may have been. Im not defending what he said, or want to get into this issue , which is over, or should be. Im just pointing it out . Im surprised that an Ed on this great site would write that.
Dara D {Ed002's Note - What he wrote caused a great deal of distress to people - try asking the owners their thoughts. Why do you find it so surprising that an Editor finds his behaviour unacceptable.}

I dont find it surprising at all Ed. Perhaps i didnt make my point clear. What I was surprised at was that an Ed would say something which is completely inaccurate. (Such is my respect for you)
That is, that Nathan Ecclestone said something which 'belittled' September 11th and thats what got him in trouble. He didnt. He questioned who the culprits were. Im not surprised it caused a fuss , or that the owners were upset by it. It is a controversial thing to say. However , he did not belittle the event. The reason I am not quoting the player is because id hate for this to turn into a debate on the subject matter ( Im not a big fan of the conspiracy page!) and you can find the quote easily. Peace.

Dara D {Ed002's Note - I am afraid I cannot agree with you. His comments were very poor and to suggest that the events of that unfortunate day were not the work of terrorists is very offensive to many, many folk.}

Agree with the ed. on this one.

Tizer red

Nathen is right, almost everybody now understands that the american govermant was behind the twin towers falling down. So ed002 grow a pair and accept it. Anyway its time for america to move on, not a week goes by without them using 9/11 to attack somebody. When was the last time you heard an english man mention 7th july? {Ed002's Note - So the true filth of English football fan is back. Unsigned of course.}

23 Feb 2012 16:42:34
Im sorry Ed2 to harp on about it but, to have an opinion on something, which may offend 'many folk' is not the same thing as to trivialise it. I feel you may be very sensitive about the subject and that is understandable, but i want make it clear because wider issues (e.g. free speech) stem from this. And again, I am not defending one opinion over another.

Dara D {Ed002's Note - I guess you really don't understand and this is simply not a matter of freedom of speech. There are over-riding matters of what is right and what is wrong. If I let through some of the posts there have been about Hillsborough, and equally some of the posts about the disaster at Munich then I am sure there would be an outcry. What I am seeing now is an astonishing level of ignorance coming out over this issue. We should perhaps let it go.}

--------------
I don't see how someone would take offence to what Ecclestone said. He wasn't defending those who brought the towers down. He was giving a view shared by many, however misguided it may be. There are many who lost relatives on 911 who subscribe to the same view as Ecclestone, who by your logic Ed002, would find your comments offensive.

neekcub {Ed002's Note - You should make sure that the owners of the club are aware of the your support of the kid's view.}

" almost everybody now understands that the american govermant was behind the twin towers falling down
--------------------
What a moron! Only the mental cases that belong on the conspiracy page will agree with that statement. (if you want any evidence for the mental capacity of this poster check out the spelling of "government"!)

Chris in Tamworth

Go easy I bloody love the conspiracy page. Least its good banter, there's a rite load a nobs on this page recently.

Up the reds for Sunday.

Matty b

Matty b I have been a visitor to the conspiracy page myself in the past and it should be the perfect place for some banter unfortunately it's let down by many who actually believe some of the nonsense they come out with! Some actually think David Icke is an informed seeker of truth and not a complete fruitcake.

Chris in Tamworth

Is it a surprise that we've had bad press of late When we have people talking about thousands of people been murdered. I'm guessing but I imagine you are Sexist Racist homophobic xenophobic and vote BNP. You generally do have the full house.
Appalling!!

Although I would not be a follower of Icke - There is plenty of truth in what Icke says.

Admittedly Icke does make some stupid statments, however not all he says is silly and some discernment is required.

If you do not believe Chris that the world is run for the greed of the few you will end up "fallen".

Certain families names keep occuring in the ownership of Banks, Medical industries, Insurance companies and oil companies and their goal is certainly not the good health of 99.99999999999% of the population.

Few people want or desire the truth!

What hope is there!

Chris in Tamworth

Eccleston should know better, he's a Liverpool player - as Shankly said - No religion, no politics.

Do I believe the official 9/11 report?

I'm a trained political analyst. I know too much about this stuff to actually believe such nonsense.

His views are not controversial. A poll on CNN asked:

Do you believe there is US Govt. cover-up surrounding 9/11?

89% said yes.

Can you get more mainstream than CNN? I mean, they even call the effect of globalised 24/7 news bombardment the 'CNN effect'.

This conspiracy page might be worth a look.

Maybe in the US the 'powers that be' would condemn what is common knowledge. Weren't there WMD too? Wasn't Saddam with Al Qaeda?

Dammit - I thought he was CIA too. I must have been wrong.

Either (1) you can't believe a word that came from the Bush administration about this issue - or (2) I must be stupid.

I'm not stupid. I've had papers accepted by academics on these issues too.

The 'truth' commission was chaired by Henry Kissenger..... I mean..... WHAT! That should tell you enough.

Don't believe it all ed002.

It doesn't take away from, or insult the people that died - like with Hillsborough, to seek the truth is to honour the dead. That people are outraged shows that they care about the victims - though the right-wing in the US would have you hung, drawn and quartered for speaking out.

Thank God those nutcases are gone (for now). Obama isn't great, but compared with that lot, he's a nice guy. That is truly crazy.

History has shown what those right wing hawks are capable of. Very little would surprise me.

And now Petraeus is Director of the CIA. Good lord........

Now the CIA lure people into carrying out fake attacks on the US in sting operations, without these people knowing the US are behind such plans. This is called 'counter terrorrism'.

But yet the idea that the US could ever possibly lure people into attacking the US is ridiculous? Explain how? They are actively doing this - with successful results - volunteers are clearly willing.

Uncontroversial.

Only in the US eh!

BJH YNWA. (and back to the football.... lol.)

People this is a LFC banter page! football banter page! there was more replie's to the original post than most footballing post's! everyone has an opinion and everyone has the right to voice their opinion as long as it's not offensive! nuff said! can we get back to football now!

Going with the following outs:

Aurelio
Cole
Aqua
Kuyt
Maxi
GJ
Jones
Pacheco
Carra (retires)

And my shopping list INS are:
Krasic - Juventus
Ruben - Villareal
Podolski - Koln
Beck - Hoffenheim

Podolski = Over-rated

I cant see any of those players ever joining Liverpool Football Club... Have you seen Krasic play at all? If you have i'm actually shocked at your knowledge of football, as for the rest... No thanks, not even for free

Rocky

I dont think Carragher will retire next season!

Just out of curiosity, if given the opportunity to swap places with Spurs and not be in the final, would you take it?

p.s fingers crossed for the final YNWA!

Redfan India

No. i can see spurs fighting for third or fourth yet.

I'd swap right now, but if we get to the FA Cup final then I'd decline. Just having a carling cup final is not great. Tottenham have basically defo got 4th atleast and that is a stronger position than maybe winning the carling cup and still being in the fa [which they are still in anyway]. I'd take the swap right now but ask me in May when we are in the FA cup final then I'd decline in a heartbeat.

BthekingB

Nothing like a trophy mate fingers crossed could be two.
k-h

Why not win the Carling Cup then get 4th place? I think we're good enough, Arsenal and Chelsea are not playing the best football at the moment, i think we're building a lot of momentum at this stage of the season and usually finish the season strong

Rocky

How come there's no link to player profiles ed? {Ed001's Note - because it hasn't been added yet, we were waiting until there were a few more profiles added. Judging by the amount of people asking for one, I will get it sorted a bit sooner though.}

Well done on the profiles eds by the way. great idea.

hi guys great website. what a nervous week it is going to be for us supporters. a carling cup final and alot of pressure is going to be put on kenny and the team. i just hope we don't struggle against cardiff city. no disrespect to them but it is a match that we got to win. we got to make sure that we don't get into a situation just as arsenal did last year against birmingham. hopefully we win comfortably. what do u guys think?. thanks and ynwa

It was men against boys and thats why arsenal lost

Hope the best team wins on the day and may that team be LFC. Can't say more than that.

Just wanted to let all fans going down to Wembley this weekend know that the police tend to divide the pubs. One side of the stadium for one team (the highroad) the other for the other team so be aware of that, they started doing it when it re-opened. Other than that enjoy the day folks and lets hope the silverware comes home.

alright eds great job your doing. i'm just wandering is ecclestone going to leave liverpool because of comments made about 911 on twitter that angered the owners ? because if you ask me thats a bit petty. or is it because he is just deemed not good enogh.
cheers. {Ed002's Note - Why would you think his comments about 911 are acceptable? How would you feel if there were folks in the States trivialising such matters as Hillsborough or suggesting similar things to Ecclestone?}

Don't you think the government at the time and the press misled the public about Hillsborough?

So ed, you think because of that the lad won't mske the squad? Sorry, mate, that is petty. The only reason why a liverpool res player should not make the step up should only be down to ability and nothing else, and the lad's got plenty of that. Personal political statements should never be the criteria.

BooDaBooze {Ed002's Note - I did not say that of course. My point was that his comments were unacceptable in the same way as similar comments about Hillsborough would be unacceptable. Obviously you see things differently.}

Whoah whoah whoah , hold your horses ED. please be very careful when you say things like that, and read Eccelstone's quote again. A silly thing to say ? probably . Controversial ? certainly. But his comments did not belittle the event , however misguided they may have been. Im not defending what he said, or want to get into this issue , which is over, or should be. Im just pointing it out. Im surprised that an Ed on this great site would write that.

Dara D {Ed002's Note - What he wrote caused a considerable amount of distress to people - try asking the owners what they feel about it. And why should you see it as surprising that an Ed finds his behaviour unacceptable?}

Did you ask tthe owners ed? do you know the truth about 9/11? the boy is entitled to air a view that most people would agree with, if people don't want to know the truth and accept things at face value then we can never move forward.RedTurk

"most people would agree with" . . . Cop yourself off for God's sake. The only people who agree with his opinion are paranoid fools. The truth about 9/11 is that a group of terrorists crashed three planes into two skyscrapers and a government building in an act provocation and vengeance towards the US. Thousands died, with tens of thousands affected directly by its results, and it is still the most significant disaster of the 21st Century in terms of worldwide implications.

There were no conspiracies and to date their is no evidence to suggest as much, just some tiny peculiarities and coincidences that accompany any disaster. Many people would be offended by his statement on Twitter, including myself as I suffered the aftermath of the event.

Martin

Trying to stick up for somebody you even skated around being offensive with regards to a act of Mass Murder is truly shocking.
You should hang your head in shame for your even half arsed defence of the Silly Boy!!
People like you really are giving us a bad name at the minute!!!

Premier League going backwards?
English clubs are facing up to their worst season in the Champions League since 1996.

the Problem is English FA . they put too many so call nameless cup to play for the club and all club are missing the CL: in Italy they have a week brake in January in Germany they have it too But England just busy with this and that FA just want to make money 2 match in 4 day that happen to City to Liverpool how a club deal with it?
and you can't take player for work permit reason in UK .player have to play 75% match for national team. and we all know how hard for a young star to play for Brazil and Argentina. so there for all the most young talent go to Germany, Italy, Spain Portugal and Holland. EPL miss all the young rocking south american talent .

The Premier League has improved overall but 3 of last seasons top 4 are in decline. City were a bit unlucky, Arsenal on present form are not good enough. Chelsea have fell apart. Manutd were in an easy group and were still not good enough. Englands Premier European team Liverpool FC are sorely missed in the Champions League.

So what the manc's got knocked out the CL and both Arsenal and Chelsea got steamrollered in their 1st leg game's! if we're not in it i dont want no other English team winning it! as a poster posted the other day the Champion's League is missing LFC!

Don't you lot tell me Alonso's never going to come back....I used to love Alonso in a way a man should never love another man...like I used to love Pimbletts pies before "pimmies" went bust...whilst walking through Ormskirk market t'other day low and behold authentic Pimbletts pies back being sold!! Now....if those pies can return I'll be bugger if Xabi can't reappear!

Allseeingaaiiii

Which would be your preference if you had to choose pimbletts pies or return of alonso lol

Anne Williams went to Parliament today for the debate over whether she will be granted a new inquest into her son, 15 year old, Kevin Williams death at Hillsborough. Every MP that spoke, spoke extremely well making it absolutely clear that a new inquest is required, the evidence they put forward today is undeniable. The debate lasted the full time it was allotted, an hour and a half and could have gone longer, in the end the Attorney General said and i quote "Minded to delay decision until after Hillsborough panel documents have been released and viewed by the families". "A new inquest can only take place if High Court quashes original inquest findings and, only I have the authority to request that the High Court looks at original inquest verdict" he also added "High Court can order new inquest if original inquest is found to be flawed procedurally or if new evidence has came to light" he then went on to say "If cut off time of 15:15 can be proved to be unreliable, it could form grounds for an application to High Court".

In summary, the Attorney has delayed his decision on whether or not to grant a new inquest. He is waiting for the Hillsborough panel documents to be released and viewed by all families effected by the tragedy. He made it clear that he doesnt wish for this to be a drawn out process and wishes to have a decision ASAP as families have already waited 23 years. He also highlighted the fact it is a very sensitive case which has effected a lot of people over a very long time.

The next thing i have to say is, The posters for Wembley on Sunday have been organised and printed by @HJC_official (Hillsborough Justice Campaign). They have printed 20,000 red "DON'T BUY THE SUN" A3 size posters and Cardiff fans have printed 5,000 blue "DON'T BUY THE SUN" A3 size posters. Anyone going to the match can get a poster from the HJC shop located opposite Anfield between 10am -1pm everyday this week, or Posters can be picked up outside Wembley on matchday. Any body interested in helping with distribution on matchday please contact: hillsboroughjusticecampaign@hotmail.co.uk ASAP.

I would like to add, on behalf of every LFC fan whether we are going on sunday or watching from home OUR sincere thank you to firstly the HILLSBOROUGH JUSTICE CAMPAIGN and secondly to CARDIFF CITY FC fans for there support on what will be a very emotional and moving show of support and need for justice for those who passed unnecessarily 23 years ago. Reds stick together lets show everyone, and remind The S*n they are still a piece of s**t.

CMON YOU REDS!!!

cheers
Aussie red

Actually brought a tear to my eye! May the 96 people, who were only going to watch a football match, but never came home rest in peace. You will always have a place in the heart and soul, of every true liverpool fc supporter. Justice for the 96.

Thanks for the previous reply eds.. You stated we are looking at matt philips for the RW position i think.. Heard good things eds but is will he be like a first team player or just a good back up.. plus do you think his any good or just one season wonder...
{Ed001's Note - I know Ed003 gushes over him, but I do agree that he has the potential to be the answer for our right wing problems. He needs better coaching, especially in the area of fitness, but he would get that with us.}

He turned down England for Scotland.

So if Kenny liked him already - he'll love him now! He's a 90% shoe-in to sign.

I'm gonna jump the gun on Macca. You heard it here first people! Will I get a page too?

(We do have a great relationship with Blackpool - I don't see why not. Sterling on loan next season as part of the deal perhaps, eh!? Maybe another wee loan or two as well?)

I can't comment on his ability. I've only seen YouTube clips - a lot of hype, there must be something to it. (or not. lol)

But a pacy, skillful, attack minded right winger... I'll take as many of those as you've got!

What lover of all that is beautiful in this World would not!

BJH YNWA.
