Please please please klopp can we buy a new keeper as soon as this seasons over and get shot of migs. The guy is just total pants. Get begovic cause he's a solid reliable keeper who's warming a Chelsea bench and would jump at chance of joining us. God nows how many points migs has cost us this season.

Believable7 Unbelievable11

24 Apr 2016 00:28:40
Apparently he's been directly at fault for a goal each in four drawn games vs. teams currently in the bottom 6. 8 points.

Now you can't say for certain how those matches would have panned out without a goalkeeping error, but even 4 of those points would have us level with Man U and pressuring Man C and Arsenal for 4th.

What worried me more is that we collectively lost it for about 15 minutes after Newcastle scored allowing them to equalise. And even when we started playing again, we weren't as slick as in the first half. We should've kept our heads, regrouped, kept playing football and seen it out. I know "goals change games", but we should have been mentally stronger than that.

We were stronger than that against Dortmund. Why not today?

24 Apr 2016 00:45:26
Somebody mentioned 23 points this season so far.

24 Apr 2016 01:39:14
He refused to come to us before saying first team at stoke was happy place. Thwn went to chelsea knowing courtoirs (spelling) was forst choice and got splinters in his ass and has looked shakey when played tbh.

24 Apr 2016 04:04:22
At 2-0 we should have gone for the throat and made it 3-0 then you know the game is safe, to throw away 2 goal leads against both north east teams is criminal especially with being at home both times, the common link a goalkeeping error costing us dearly. Not a good weekend for Belgian footballers on Merseyside.

24 Apr 2016 08:26:09
I think we can and should do better than Begovic as there are better younger options out there. This is guy who at the peak of his career decided to go and be a bench warmer and who turned us down flatly not long before that, in fact it's fair to say he told us he had absolutely no interest in playing for Liverpool. That's the end of it for me, if a player doesn't want to join when he's got the opportunity to be number one but jumps at the chance to be a bench warmer elsewhere then we should look elsewhere, beyond these reasons he's also not that good and lacks concentration.

24 Apr 2016 08:50:07
May 2005, AC Milan are leading 3:0 at halftime. They now know: the game is safe.

24 Apr 2016 09:44:06
Got this from the Internet

Liverpool have dropped more points from winning positions than any other team in the premier league this season,19 to be precise.

24 Apr 2016 13:04:26
that ac milan team was a far better team than this current Newcastle team, plus we all agree what happened that night was one of football's great unexplainable's, if we had gone in 3-0 up against Newcastle we won have gone on to win the match, they are where they are because they are a poor side.

24 Apr 2016 13:39:30
We have no gk's at LFC, period. We have two error prone gk's and one good albeit inexperienced one who I would play now ahead of those two clowns. This needs sorting in the summer or Klopp will be facing a backlash from supporters.

23 Apr 2016 23:16:45
Can't wait for Thursday night.
A score draw or any win and I'll be happy (obviously) .
Hope we put three in the middle, and keep it tight. Don't think Villarreal will fear us, and will come at us, so should be set up for counter attacking. The way we played today won't be good enough, yeah the press was good, but we left so much space to be countered agaisnt, which Villarreal will lap up.
Coutinho and Sturridge are must starters, and I guess Allen and Lucas are too considering our midfield injuries. I guess Milner will too, and although he is better out wide, I'd like him to make up the third in the middle. Unless of course Lucas plays at the back. I just feel that we may underestimate them, and go all out attack and get punished ourselves on the break as we were today!

24 Apr 2016 01:31:32
I would like to see migs . Clyne lovren toure Morono Allan Milner Lucas coutinho firminho lallana. Sturridge to come on and score .

23 Apr 2016 17:20:44
What is the maximum number of teams a country are allowed in Europe? Say United don't win the FA cup, one of the others get Europe right? Two from league, and if a team not in Europe won the league cup, that would make 4? Then 4 champions league spots, and if win Europa, then that could be 5? So can you have 9 teams in Europe or is there a limit?

I know you can only have 5 in CL. But also, if one team was on through the fair play, could theoretically make 10, if there wasn't a limit?

Believable0 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - (1) It depend which country. (2) The fair play is in addition to the quota.}

23 Apr 2016 18:52:19
Well England for example.

{Ed002's Note - I have expalined the situation in England on several opccasions. If you have a specific question then say.}

23 Apr 2016 14:31:22
Ok I confess. Me, Ed002 and Sakho got onit after the United game. All Kolo's fault.

Any chance you could spike Mignolet's drink please 😉.

24 Apr 2016 04:07:55
has mignolet been tested for impersonating a goalkeeper? the guy is a fraud and the sooner he is no longer keeping goal for us the better our club will be.

23 Apr 2016 15:51:28
Just out of curiosity Eds, why is the live match page not open until 4:30 when the game started at 3?

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable11

{Ed001's Note - because Ed033 got it wrong.}

23 Apr 2016 19:29:21
Ed033 such a noob.

We love u Rafa.

23 Apr 2016 20:33:18
In the second half he exploited our weakness well - target Mignolet.

23 Apr 2016 22:58:54
Rafa didn't get Newcastle a point we gave away 2!

Look I play a sport for a living and get tested frequently. For the media to come out and say that they are investigating it's not just all smoke and mirrors. In fact this is serious. There's some serious substance behind it.

Normally in professional sport you'll get two samples taken of both urine and blood so most likely they would be in the process of testing the second sample now. Hence the pending investigation.

Then they have to run through checks. Before getting the test you list all the substances and braces of those substances you take. Protein powders, anti inflams, vitamins and we go on. Then these brands (which should be legal as no one can be that dumb to list a prohibited substance on the form) will be checked under the microscope. In fact they'll try to get batch samples made from a similar time of testing, again this is the pending of investigation.

How hard they push this will depend on how much the athlete or the club want to spend in this. These tests costs money and that predominately lies with the accused.

Finally if still positive they will go to the courts to determine the punishment. This is where you hear the cock and bull stories the athletes make up as to why they tested positive. My mum gave me these fat pills, my coach gave me the wrong dose, I kissed a girl who had been on cocaine and that's why it's in my system.

Anyway a sentence is then normally given. There's a bit of grey area here especially from my sport as you'll find some sentences get heavily reduced which is amazing considering the stories they tried to come up with.

At the end of the day in this case. I'd bet my bottom dollar that that first sample is positive. Now I'm not saying he's guilty yet but it's a pretty stupid thing to allow to happen. For all those who were calling for his captaincy a week ago well I'm really glad that he's not if he's under investigation for not turning in a positive test.

Believable4 Unbelievable14

23 Apr 2016 17:24:05
I always think if a player takes a drug test and fails, they Either thought they'd get away with it, or didn't know.
In my opinion (I know it means little and it's not how it works) but there should be a difference in sentence between the two. Purposely cheating should be punished heavily, whereas carelessness should be punished but not so badly.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs go to extreme lengths to make sure the players don't get themselves in to an accidental problem. They have to deal with players generally not being particularly bright but they have it made crystal clear for them. Stupidity is not a defence.}

23 Apr 2016 23:25:20
Unsure how I got all the disagrees but that's alright. Obviously there are a few experts here that are more familiar with how testing works haha.

I have to agree with ed002. I don't see the difference in how doing it on purpose and stupidity are any different. Stupidity is no defence. I play an idividual sport so it's on us to check what we are or are not allowed to take. I imagine at Liverpool they would have a nutritionist who would give them there supplements. If the player wanted to try something else then the first port of call would be to go to the nutritionist and ask if this product is legal to take.

Really you can't be so dumb. We can't even take nasal spray as it is a masking agent for performance enhancing drugs. I can't believe an athlete, who has a team around him, could be so stupid. If he gets off then that's great but he's very silly none the less as he's admitted to taking something with the 'I never knew it was banned excuse. ' Really silly if you ask me.

24 Apr 2016 02:25:57
the timing of all this is lousy, not that there is a good time for this kind of situation to happen, typical it should happen when he has been in such good form as well, but if he is found guilty he will have to accept the consequences for both club and country and make sure nothing like this ever happens again, agree with norman btw if he needed to lose weight why did he not consult with the clubs dietician. oh mama what have you done you silly boy.

23 Apr 2016 14:30:06
What's up with Flanagan, not even on the bench?

Believable1 Unbelievable11

23 Apr 2016 16:06:54
Might be Klopp thinks Randall is training better at the moment. Flanagan was pictured training yesterday.

23 Apr 2016 14:01:10
It's brilliant how people can't read, and how Chinese whispers spread - nowhere in the club statement does it say he has been suspended by the club. The implications though, if found guilty by Eufa could, and I say could, be damaging to the rest of our season. Fingers crossed Klopp does not play Skrtel instead of Kolo, because that could also be very damaging to the rest of our season, he's a disaster waiting to happen.

Believable5 Unbelievable10

23 Apr 2016 14:14:19
Do they not test multiple samples? Is there not a way that it may be ok yet?

23 Apr 2016 14:23:08
Hem b Sakho can request a B sample test, and that may come up negative after which I believe charges will be dropped but let's be fair that's unlikely to happen.

23 Apr 2016 14:30:25
They will test a B sample. If that is positive he's in trouble. Been left out of the squad I would imagine to avoid any comeback on the team now he's known to have failed a test.

23 Apr 2016 23:41:39
If you fail, the odds on passing the reserve sample are minimal. The testing kit is extremely accurate and in more than 99 out of 100 the first test is accurate.

23 Apr 2016 15:13:37
Same for me.

23 Apr 2016 13:48:48
Please don't tell me skrtel will start ahead of sahko from now on. Toure has to be the replacement. I used to like skrtel a lot, one of he few brute defenders we've had but some of his defensive knowledge is lacking considerably. He was doing pretty good before the injury but since then has been awful. Why has this all happened during the most important phase of our season. Origi, Henderson, can, sahko all out!

Believable3 Unbelievable9

23 Apr 2016 14:07:53
Toure and Lovren will start I'd have thought. Even Lucas is ahead of Skrtel in Klopps pecking order. Such a shame for Sakho though. Silly man : (

23 Apr 2016 14:14:16
Even Lucas before Skrtel would be better, the lad just isn't up to it and needs a good run of games to even be average, but he has never been a brute, one of the most common complaints with Skrtel is that for his size, strength, appearance he is a complete pushover, not too mention the only way he knows of stopping players is holding onto them and that's being focused on by ref's at the moment.

Absolutely shattered about Sakho, really like the lad and is a family fav, hope it gets sorted quickly.

23 Apr 2016 14:15:34
Its an investigation and nothing has been confirmed as yet so i would refrain from the judgements just yet.

23 Apr 2016 14:45:25
im not certainly not judging the lad, even if he ends up suspended he will remain one of our favourites, don't honestly think much of all the anti doping agencies, especially WADA, and have no faith in the systems they use for testing. Far too many inconsistencies, loop holes, mis information etc to take em seriously, bigger joke than FIFA to be honest. 1 nice example is in a league outside of Europe, a whole team was proved to have been on a lengthy banned substance regime with the people in charge of that league being fully aware of it and all the details yet not 1 single person was banned from that team as it would hurt the league, yet at the same time a player from a different team got banned for drinking an energy drink that MAY have contained trace elements of a banned substance, no positive test to it but it might have been in the drink, he got a 1 year ban so that the league looked like it was taking a hard line against doping.

23 Apr 2016 13:40:35
Hey lfc fans

Wowwww first it's injuries now it's some
Drug nonsense
But the real problem is that's just another player unavailable to play in very important games.
I already asked the question about origi out and how would Liverpool line up for today's game and Villarreal
Now sakho being out. I just feel at such a crucial time in a season key areas like the centre mid and centre forward areas and "just making do" with the replacements will not help Liverpool at all
It's a big problem and results will show this.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

23 Apr 2016 14:21:27
This is why we need to get rid of a fair few players and bring some quality in. Yes we have a bloated squad, and I'm sure all the muppets won't hesitate to say so, but if we want to compete in the league and Europe we need a much stronger squad than what we have.

23 Apr 2016 13:34:45
Official club statement on the Sakho incident.

Yesterday, Friday 22nd April 2016, a formal communication was received from UEFA stating that they are investigating a possible anti-doping rule violation by Mamadou Sakho.

The player will respond to UEFA on the matter.

The player is currently not subject to any playing suspension. However, the club, in consultation with the player, has decided that while this process is followed the player will not be available for selection for matches.

There will be no further comment at this time.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

23 Apr 2016 13:49:04
I am absaloutly gutted and shocked by this news.

23 Apr 2016 13:53:54
Did Skrtel ask him to try his drink? A big blow on top of other injuries if he's not allowed to play.

23 Apr 2016 13:11:01
Is it true Sakho been suspended for 1 weak.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - 1week for failing a drugs test? Why would it be 1 week? Seems unlikely, though I haven't been able to check as I am in the mall with my niece and nephew right now.}

23 Apr 2016 13:25:32
kolo was given a 6 month ban. if true, 1 week is highly unlikely.

but you're right though, 1 week is definitely a 'weak' punishment for failing a drug test.

news saying its due to a fat burner. an athlete, taking fat burners. what's the world gone to now.

23 Apr 2016 13:27:24
facing six months I read, don't think 1 week is a relevant sentence.

23 Apr 2016 13:35:18
The club has suspended him pending an investigation.

23 Apr 2016 13:36:58
Is the ban from all football? Meaning that he's out the Euros?

23 Apr 2016 13:39:07
He isn't banned, left out voluntarily by the club. Apparently took a similar thing as Kolo accidentally.

He has until Tuesday to respond to UEFA about the charge.

23 Apr 2016 13:39:37
Think he means club has suspended him for 1 week until the verdict.

23 Apr 2016 13:42:03
Sorry for the confusion people, meant if the ban occured would it be from all football?

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

23 Apr 2016 13:53:06
Omg I'm shock. Need skutel to be back to his best quick. Toure.

23 Apr 2016 13:58:52
If found guilty he has to be sacked. No place for drug cheats.

23 Apr 2016 14:31:14
He will have a very good very expensive lawyer.

23 Apr 2016 14:32:23
People disagree? Do you think there is a place for drug cheats or is it a case of we need him?

24 Apr 2016 02:22:57
It's possible it's a mistake rather than a deliberate cheat - Athletes should be smart enough to know what they are putting in their bodies but something he thought was safe may not have been.

23 Apr 2016 13:02:06
Sakho has been suspended by the club for failing a drugs test apparently.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Apr 2016 11:48:17
Any team news yet, warro?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

23 Apr 2016 13:35:40
Sakho won't be in it.

23 Apr 2016 10:32:13
Like I've said before. We need power, pace and intelligence. We have players to win the ball and retain the ball but I believe we need a front 4 that can counter quickly, aggressively and with intelligence. We have Continho and Origi and perhaps Sturridge if he stays fit but I would get rid of markovic because he is not strong enough, along with Benteke and Balotelli. I think Ojo fits the bill. He looked strong, pacey and had that bit of arrogance you need. Imo I think continue to being on Stewart alongside Can and Hendo, this will allow Can to be freed up a bit more. Can has been immense recently. What an improvement he has made. He will. only get better too. He could add a real dimension going forward. As for the back 5 I'm still scratching my head. I'd possibly like to see Moreno improved defensively but I can't see Clyne improving more than what he is. A ball playing centre half would be a great addition alongside a keeper who has better distribution.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

23 Apr 2016 11:14:30
I can see Markovic doing an Origi next year. Hit the gym, bulk up a bit and give Ibe and Ojo some real competition. Think he will benefeit greatly from Klopps guidance like so many other have. Just hope he gives it another shot. Got some football in him, and pace to burn.

23 Apr 2016 11:52:39
Ojo strong?

23 Apr 2016 12:22:26
Ojo has great strength for someone his age! To op, think you're quite harsh on markovic to just write him off, also don't know if you forgot about firmino but he certainly has to be a player capable of fitting in our front 4.

23 Apr 2016 13:42:38
ShaneK, Markovic has struggled in Turkey. He has been struggling to get in the side even before his injury and in what can only be described as a terrible league he's not even scored a league goal and registered just 2 assists.

Why do people want Lallana and/ or Milner to be replaced by a player who has proven he doesn't have the physicality to make it in the Prem?

It's not harsh at all. He wasn't ready when we signed him. He was unproven and inconsistent. It was impossible to tell if he would turn his potential into actual end product. Hence why Chelsea passed on signing him for a third of what we paid.

We got ripped off for an average player. Ojo is already a better player than him. Markovic is 22 years old so he's hardly a youth player. Origi is younger and has shown far more ability and physical presence.

Markovic will never make it here and bringing him back to be 8th choice wide player makes no sense for his career or our wage budget. Coutinho, Lallana, Milner, Ibe, Ojo, Kent and Canos are all better players. Let him go.

23 Apr 2016 14:26:46
'Markovic will never make it here' I heard the same crap about Origi . Marko actually turned in a couple of man of match appearances played out of position . Why are people so quick to put down young forgein players. He was one of Europe most highly rated players, yes he came too soon and was expensive but his potential is immense. 8th choice wide player? Who are these amazing wide players we have? Most are central players shunted out wide. Get a grip. Bet you hated origi as well until 8 week ago.,

23 Apr 2016 14:31:25
Origi was a laughing stock at the start of the season for being all be it harshly include in the worst 11 in ligue 1. Now obviously I'm not deluded to think that any player now at Liverpool will be a superstar but it is clear that klopp can be a great motivator which can be a huge difference. Again I'm not saying he's first choice for next season or he'll even be here, but the player clearly has talent, he even showed that in glimpses at Liverpool playing all over the park. He deserves the pre season to work his way into klopps plans and then it's up to his performances to keep him at the club long term but that has to be taken window by window. I just don't see the point saying he has to be gone in what would be another big loss on what we paid. Don't remember him saying too much negative about the club or hearing that he caused any problems while at the club, deserves a chance anyway at least :)

23 Apr 2016 15:40:27
I didn't mention Lallana. I think he should compete with Coutinho for number 10. I'd love nothing more than for Markovic to make it but I think at 22, others will overtake him purely on power and strength. Firmino I'm still unsure of. I actually prefer him as a number 9. Still gives the ball away deep unnecessarily for me. I would have him competing with Sturridge, Origi and Ings.

23 Apr 2016 09:58:51
Klopp said that, maybe 4/ 5 days ago someone told him Danny Ings was two weeks away from training. Would be nice to see him kick a ball again this season, but probably rather not risk him! I'm guessing he is not in the European squad any more.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

23 Apr 2016 10:32:25
Ssshhhh! Don't mention Ings or Hodgson will have him starting with wilshere in the euros!

23 Apr 2016 08:22:32
Ed's,

What sort of interest is there in Yannick Gerhardt of Koln? Any from Liverpool? Looks like a decent young player.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - You need the European page for random questions about players such as Gerhardt.}

23 Apr 2016 08:17:38
Ings could be back training with the first team within a week to 10 days! Chuffed for him and while I highly doubt he will be able to play a part this season it will be great to have back in amongst the side as a bit of a reintegration before next season!
Also can is supposedly doing a lot bet than expected so good news on injuries for once!

Believable5 Unbelievable3

23 Apr 2016 10:51:09
He was our best player when he got injured and if could play well under the nose imagine what he will do under klopp.

23 Apr 2016 11:52:35
Definitely think he could be a big player next season, and would love to have him as an option for the upcoming games but would be huge ask!

23 Apr 2016 13:46:18
Ings is tailor made for Klopp's way of playing.

23 Apr 2016 07:15:55
Hey eds.
Do any of you know of any teams that would make a serious effort too take benteke, I would emagine he would Cost a lot in terms of wage for the perhaps intressted club/ clubs.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - West Brom have declared an interest.}

23 Apr 2016 08:20:31
My concern would be wether they will get near to what I assume we want which would be 20-25 million pounds I guess. That would be all of the berahino money and some from a west brom point of view. Although they clearly need a focal point striker so if he's there number 1 target it could happen. Would potentially be a good move for all parties.

23 Apr 2016 09:59:06
West broms transfer record is 12 mil I think on rondon and they don't pay anywhere near the wages he is on. I seriously think 20-25 mil is optimistic, the West Ham rumour makes no sense with them already having carol and the Athletico and juve rumours seem far fetched.

{Ed002's Note - West Brom will have a lot more money to spend this summer. The wages will be a concern to them.}

23 Apr 2016 10:22:52
They will have the Berahino money.

23 Apr 2016 10:30:27
I think the wages will concern any interested club and also I'm not sure benteke will be looking to sign for a team of west broms ilk even though I think he would be ideal for the system they employ. He will no doubt want a move to a team playing in Europe, I'm not sure if that is likely but we can't continue to pay his massive wages if he's not in our future plans.

23 Apr 2016 10:47:00
I doubt Benteke will want to move to there though. Liverpool to West Brom is a big step backwards for a striker entering his prime and looking to play regularly for his national team.

23 Apr 2016 10:53:31
Another bucket load of money down the swanny.

23 Apr 2016 11:23:45
Low/ midtable team wanting to play with one striker would be a perfect match for Big Ben. WBA, Norwich if they stay up, Swansea, Burnley, M'boro. He could be the difference between fighting relegation and mid-table security. Can see a bit of an auction for him in the summer. 20-25 mil is not too much for that kind of "insurance". But wages might be an issue, indeed.

23 Apr 2016 11:39:10
He got in the national team playing for villa.
He has more chance at west brom than being sub at Liverpool.

23 Apr 2016 06:45:10
Ed002 a question if you have the time, with the EU referendum coming up, would it effect a takeover bid (if there was one) or would it have little or no bearing?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - It would make no difference Onceared.}

Just a general question ed001, but would a takeover before next summer be out of the question? I'm not sure if it would be the right time for all concerned as for next year to be a top 4/ possible title contention season we will need committed owners as we go into the summer transfer market. For the record I am not questioning FSGs commitment to the team, I just wonder if they'd maintain that level of commitment if they were in the process of selling the club.

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea.}

Just wondering what people think are the implications of the Eds telling us that lfc have a serious interest in both silva and praet.
Both players are pretty much wingers I think, and are both well thought of- and so I wonder if that means Klopp sees them as eventually replacing the likes of Lallana and Ibe?
Also, will it mean he sees Coutinho and Firmino playing more centrally behind the striker?
Its a nice problem to have, but adding these new players to an already large playing staff does create pressure to move other players on.

What's going to happen to the likes of Ojo and Markovic if we sign players like Praet?

Seriously, if our staff can't see what's staring them in the face regarding transfers then they should be sacked. We don't need to stockpile young unproven wingers. You can't win a game by fielding 10 wingers. The squad is already MASSIVELY unbalanced.

Have tried looking into them but tbh only seen highlights and read reviews. Would appreciate anyone who has seen them provide more info that would be great.

From what I've read/ seen Rafa is naturally a more wide player with more pace, whilst prayer is more a clever am player. Goal record is fairly similar, but think if Rafa is a pacey wide player so would prefer him as genuinely think Ibe is the only player we have that fit this role. If we add more width to our game hopefully will make more space for continho/ firmino/ stud he etc. plus, think our attack would benefit from having someone with raw pace who plays naturally more wide.

I don't understand why people don't trust Klopp a little more. You don't think he has a say in who he wants and who he rates.

I am willing to bet that Klopp would know more about this than all the experts on here.

Have faith. There is a plan. Klopp will address the areas he sees fit.

Agree Roland, only reason we need someone upfront at all would be a pacy winger as we have enough technical no.10 types in Coutinho, Firmino, Llalana.

With that in mind we also have Markovic returning and Ojo and Ibe coming through so only reason we should be considering him should be if one or more of those were leaving. Maybe this is a plan B if Klopp isn't convinced by Ibe or Markovic?

I for one wouldn't mind Rafa coming in and Ibe going out on a year loan in the Championship to see how he develops as I suspect we can't bring him and Ojo through together and of the two Ojo seems the most talented.

That would leave Coutinho, Firmino, Llalana, Rafa as senior attacking midfielders and Markovic and Ojo challenging.

Maybe Markovic won't be returning to LFC in the summer. I wouldn't imagine that Ojo has done enough just yet to be our first XI saviour just yet, as many think he already is.

23 Apr 2016 07:35:46
Agree Brisbane, that's another possibility. And if Markovic doesn't come back Ojo is still very young and Ibe hasn't really shown he's ready to play regular first team so having an experienced winger would be useful.

It was noticeable against Stoke how having pace in Ojo and Ibe out wide changed the style of the game in a way that having Coutinho and Llalana out there (for all their undoubted skill) couldn't. It allowed us to sit back a bit yet we still had the pace to break forward past their defences and isolate the FB's or CB's in a one-on-one situation which made them very wary.

look at the progress. Jurgen making mugs out of all that don't believe . If he wants a player I trust him. I suggest you lot do too.

Just wanted to add that I wasnt doubting Klopp at all, more wondering who will be the players to move on or play a bit part next few seasons?

Were looking at those two above, plus zielinski, plus we have grujic and matip incoming into a squad that is already too large.

My suspicion is Ibe will either go out on loan or be sold this summer, and lallana will not get very many first team starts.
If we assume coutinho and firmino are automatic starters when fit, plus either origi and/ or sturridge up front, there aren't lots of places up for grabs.
I think he'll be looking to phase these new players over a season, rather than put out a squad in sept with 50% new starters.

If Klopp really wants a player then what difference does our opinion make? Zero, but it is still ok for us to express an opinion especially when someone asks a question.
We have far too many players already-fact.
If Markovic has not got a future then why on earth did we turn down Fenerbache's offer in January?
Ojo may be unproven but he is less of a risk than Praet who has never played in a decent or physical league.

On the subject of trusting Klopp's judgement - he gave Mignolet (the most intelligent keeper he's worked with) a new 5 yr deal. On that basis I'm entitled to be cautious.

23 Apr 2016 10:55:34
If anyone thinks we already have a winner capable of hurting teams week in week out to gush for top 4 and more then have a look again.

23 Apr 2016 06:55:07
Klopp wants to achieve success with his squad and the thing with him is he knows what he wants.
This season has showed him that we are capable of pushing for the premiership next season, but it has also showed him that though the players have some qualities we haven't hurt teams enough.
I totally agree that another Keeper is required and believe we will make a signing for that position.

I fully trust our Manager to buy the right players into the squad and release the players who he believes are not capable of performing in his style of play.
As a Manager in any business it's vital to have a team you can trust as you are the one who takes the fall if you fail.
I think our squad is too big and would expect it to be trimmed this Summer, but I also expect us to make signings that will take bums off seats.
We need more end product in the final third, some of our players have been guilty of over playing or being wasteful at important moments in the game.

Praet is more an ACM / Playmaker in the mold of Coutnho. He isn't pacy and doesn't score goals. He wouldn't make any difference to the team with Coutinho playing pretty much the same role.

Silva is more a wide player ( ironically started on the left hand side all season ) . He has exceptional pace ( much faster than Salah / Markovic ), Fantastic ball control and is a goal scorer. He could operate on the right hand side and is a good little option.
