Ignore all the idiots slating Henderson and Carroll, both are top class players who will win trophies with us. King Kenny will make the people happy.

what? Frimpong had a good game? he had one decent run that resulted in a daisy cutter and thats being kind. But who cares we won. Bring on judas coyle and his men

Just 9 more days and we will see the end of the Transfer window. Unfortunately there will be another in January. They're artificial, unnecessary and I'm sure that they must be illegal according to EEC law. BUT the worst thing about the end of the transfer window is that fans immediately start speculating about which players are going to be bought or sold next time round. Almost all the usual suspects are gone so who are going to be the next MARQUEE signing(s)? I am pretty much happy with what we have now signed and I think that they will ALL progress nicely with Liverpool. Let's not forget, however, that a player can be great with one side and not fit in with another - only time will tell. I remain optimistic.

Eds,
I would just like to know, are you having to filter out a lot of abusive posts regarding Kenny Dalglish, his transfers and his squad selection? I only ask, because i had a look at the match report on a website called Caught offside, and with the abuse flying around on the comment section, its clear to see its unmoderated. At least 50 fans are on there complaining. Mainly regarding Henderson and Carroll not performing and Suarez and Meireles not being in the starting line-up. One poster even suggested the great Dalglish was racist for playing British players I'm in dissaray, and would just like to say right now if any of the caught offside keyboard warriors are reading, back Dalglish, or support somebody else. Certainly do not slander his work within the club. A year ago, we would be looking at the fixture list and wondering where our next points were coming from, now we are looking at the same fixtures and wondering where we will next drop points. This is a major change in mentality, and we should be proud of the job King Kenny had done. He is second only to Shankly in my heart. Player, Manager, Supporter, Legend. You'll Never Walk Alone Mr. Dalglish, and if you are a fan giving every player and The King your full support, the same applies to you.

i think we need a decent, pacey right winger either johnson or lennon,a centre half either dann or cahill and we are there or thereabouts, think henderson needs a few sub appearances when were on top to gain confidence, carroll needs to stay on his feet and use his size more instead of looking for free kicks, will be good to have stevie back,i just cant have lucas at all, keep raul for squad, but above all everyone stay behind the team, progress is being made, jst my thoughts cheers rob

I was Very Impressed with Frinpong. I thought he broke up the play great against Liverpool. We really over ran them when he got sent off.

Arsenal seem to keep finding the players.

I have just spoken to my cousin from spain and yes it looks as though speculation suggests in spain thar ther player was saldado. Dc did meet with the club but lfc are trying to keep it quiet due to the fact that valencia want other clubs to get involved and start a bidding war for the player... Lfc will try to close the deal once they have resolved the cb issue wether that be cahill or dann.

Ed what do you think is wrong at Arsenal?>

they seem to have money and prices are not getting any cheaper. In fact they are getting more expensive. I thought having the best squad now would be better than money in the bank {Ed002's Note - I am sure one or two players will be arriving soon.}

Know Mata looks set for Chelsea we can stop the Mata rumours. I'm probably going to get allot of stick for this but I don't think Mata is what we need. Throughout the last two game it's been obvious that we are lacking the pace needed out wide and up front (bar Downey and Suarez). I also believe that if we had fast players around AC, he would really improve.
Wheeler92

Mate as much as I agree that we don't need mata I have to disagree that we lack pace on the wings.... We now have Downing and Suarez but also have Johnson, Kelly and Enrique too.... I believe we have missed the creative side for far too long for way too long but now have it in abundance in Midfield and upfront and the future is looking really really bright. Village.

I wish if people would lay off Henderson the guy is quality he has a lot of energy and always seems to make space in the midfield he ran the first half yesterday. {Ed028's Note - Not forgetting he is still young}

24 Aug 2011 Carling Cup Exeter A 19:45

27 Aug 2011 Barclays Premier League Bolton H 17:30

So we have a game this week coming. Who will be playing. Last year we got knocked out.

This year we seem to more than enough quality players to allow some of them to play against exeter. eg Aquaman + joe Cole

Sky sources say that Arsenal and Liverpool interested in Scott Dann. Is he our main target? {Ed028's Note - He is one of the targets, not 'main'}

21 Aug 2011 20:59:39
I would like us to keep our current squad of players.

21 Aug 2011 20:48:55
Great result, sorry fantastic result yesterday v arsenal but Im still not sure on Carroll and Henderson. Vermalen had Carroll in his back pocket and Henderson cant pass forward, cant tackle, cant beat a man, but he can run all day long If we had spent the 55million wisely we would really be one hell of a team.

chelsea gettin mata n modric by looks off, that will strengtren them alot, id love us to bid big for erikkson of ajax n maybe hazard, even add yossi back, we would match anybody , especially with gerard to come back, lil bit more pace n invention n anythings possible

Hey Ed's, sorry to bother you with this as it's involving Fantasy Football,
But i've created my team on the premier league website, and I've tried every single code to join the same leagues as all of you fans on here, with no success, as it keeps telling me it's not a valid league code and to check with the league administrator? Any idea's anyone? As i've been wanting to sign up the past few weeks but haven't had chance too,
Thanks all

Hi Eds, while im delighted with our start and style KK seems to be implementing, i still think we should/will buy one more genuine goal theat. If Suarez was to pick an injury I think we would struggle to get in behind decent defences. We would be left with carroll and Kuyt and neither have pace. Suerly with ngog on his bike and pacheco going on loan, jova and el zhar released we should be looking at another attacking option. Citeh have tevez aguero dzecko ballotelli. Man Utd have rooney berba owen hernandez. Any aspiring team has 4. Just my opinion of course.

Very interesting how our summer has been defined and clinical, we have got what we needed/ wanted for the prices we have felt fair. And judging on the two games played they are who Kenny wanted. We are not going to panic bid for players like mata, what we don't want and I'm sure Kenny knows this, is these mercenaries who create situations like nasri at arsenal, this is a genuine football club that we want not for a season but for every year like we should be. Alot of 'fans' need to realize who we are and what we are about and what Kenny is recreating.
Liverpool fan from Sydney
P.s my first post just how I feel, Liverpool have always been the club that people respect because of our unquestioned solidarity. I feel that some fans are forgetting what we have always been about. You don the crest you have our full support, let's put the recent crap behind us and do this our way.

21 Aug 2011 19:09:06
Hi ed, if we manage to complete the transfer of either cahill or dann, do you think we will look to bring another striker in or another winger?
This is a fantastic site by the way
Thanks {Ed002's Note - I think striker would be more likely - but we will have to see who leaves this week.}

Please support our players. They need time to gel.
Imo,Andy Carroll must improve on his movements and anticipation to eliminate those offside traps. Our midfields must also accomodate the passes to him as he's quiteoff the pace.I believe once the team get to know each others play well enough, our opponents will get hard times when playing against us.Just my opinion though.YNWA

Roy, in your opinion you think Liverpool play better with Carroll off the pitch. In mine we play better. Dont start with the when i was a lad and being in nappy's. Is that a rule, the older you own more supporter shares then someone younger, dont think so. Carroll did the graft, Luis and Raul reaped the rewards. Just saying i'd get over him being here and playing because it'll be a good few years before you see him in another teams shirt mate. Jonson6

fantasy football subs: you cannot make a sub once your team is set for the games over that weekend. The only way a sub will occur is automatically if one of your players in your first 11 did not play. E.g if Downing had not played and you had cleverly as your no.1 sub then he would automatically take his place. You do not have anything to do with subs (apart from setting them in first place) the rest is all automatic if you did not have all your first 11 playing. Hope this makes sense. JT.

just wondering if anyone, (including you ed) had heard anything regarding the on-going stadium situation. the last I heard the club was looking in some detail at the viability of purchasing properties around Anfield in a bid to expand and redevelop the existing stadium. Have there been any further developments lately? {Ed002's Note - There should be some news by the end of September. What I don't know.}

Adam johnsons name keeps cropping up as a possible summer signing, I personally think he would be a fantastic signing but at the moment I don't believe it will happen. Today he came on for the last 11 minutes which he surely cannot be happy with and I believe he will have to get used to being a bit time player for the rest of the season.. Maybe a January signing??

I would go for jarvis as downing has been gr8 but where's the cover for him? Surely Johnson could b tried on the re? He's got pace and can cross Carroll needs more time Gt off his back and give him a proper chance. With all those fans wanting a right sided winger... Fear not we will have in the shape of Johnson, when he is back from injury, I remember one of the Ed's saying that it was always KD's intention to play GJ in midfield, but his injury's last season put that on the back burner, if any of the Ed's can confirm if that was what was planned?
Keep up the great job Ed's, in you I also trust ;)

Kelly have a very good match yesterday. I dont know why Henderson start every match when meirles is there. I think we can use G.Jhonson as right wing. a CB and a Striker is needed. watching Aguero play make me jelus if we sign him then Top 4 sure for us. Suarez, Aguero or Roony going to be top scorer of EPL this year.

21 Aug 2011 17:04:21
Jose Enrique is an absolute bargain for 6 million.
With left back covered, all we need is a better striker to cover Andy Carroll & Luis Suarez. I would personally love to see Daniel Sturridge come in but I cant see it happening. Hugo Rodallega or Park Chu Young being the most likely from what I've seen.
We all know Gary Cahill is the man we need at centre back. He's an established Premier league player. Scott Dann will be an Aresnal player soon.
Another winger would really finish our summer off nicely. Preferably Juan Mata but unfortunately doesn't look like its gonna happen. Realistically I dont think there are many available that meets our transfer policy.
Then we just need to get rid of the deadwood we have and we all know who they are.
Just a little bit of praise I would like to add into this and thats to Martin Kelly. He had a great game against Arsenal and I'm looking forward to seeing him progress even more so this season.

Eds awesome site. Is there any chance of bringing in Daniel Sturridge?

Loachy_87 {Ed001's Note - nope.}

Dann unused sub today. Very interesting, looks like a move is imminent. Will it be us or wenger boys?

Next sat wenger boys might be out of UCL & 6 points behind us. So to Cahill & Dann who is more likely to b top 4 & offer UCL footie next year?

OBSERVATIONS:

Great result yesterday, but very dreadful game, absolutely dire.
Passing erratic, turgid movement, low tempo, abysmal use of space, no fluidity.

Adam's mobility below par. Has to sort his fitness out ASAP.
Henderson needs to immerse himself more in the play. Has more to offer than the simplicity we've had to watch.

Don't know how many times Kuyt lost the ball. Admirable on his day but infuriatingly frustrating and irksome when he's off. Should be a bit part player.

Rest of the team's individual performances were okay.

I must say that, save for Suarez and Downing, this team lacks skill and invention. That was abundantly clear 2nd half against Sunderland and yesterday.
We just don't possess enough players of ingenuity and "special" moments/unpredictability.

Centre back's a MUST. Carragher's a massive hindrance to the (high-line) approach we seeking to play. Too slow.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

*Gary Cahill for centre back. Strong, quick and excellent recovery pace.
*Marvin Martin. Pacey, skillful, inventive attacker
*Park Chu Young. Quick, mobile, hardworking forward.

I heard staff at melwood were worried when Jose Enrique tired up for training this morning 11st over weight... They later found out he still had Walcott in his back pocket

I reckon a decent CB and RW with a bit of flair and we'll be cooking on gas Not sure on another striker as think dirk does a good job Plus a decent enough RW could probably fill that hole if needed as well

Yawn. A lot of tripe being written about us on this site recently. About Carroll, Henderson and just about the side in general.

Expect Carroll to get two against Bolton and then have scored 2 goals in 3 games. Cue the media returning to 'the new Alan Shearer' mode and the same fans slagging Carroll to be here claiming they always thought he was great.

Fickle fans.
Everyone relax.

Suarez and Carroll are our future pairing and they can be a great partnership - remember they've barely played together since January.

However, Carroll and Kuyt together as a pairing does lack both pace and trickery. I feel that Carroll was better than Kuyt yesterday, but Carroll has gotten more abuse (thats the problem with costing £35m I guess).

Put simply, Kuyt should be backup for Carroll, but not Suarez - when Suarez is missing we have no-one to stretch teams like he does. All the talk of the need for new CD's and LB's has overlooked this important point.

We badly need another backup striker who can fill in for Suarez. Shane Long would have been perfect - pace, a relentless work ethic, and a composed finisher who can also lead the line alone if need be. But oh well. Kenny may have a surprise in store for us yet.

I feel a new striker of this type to compensate for the loss of Pacheco and N'Gog, a new centre-back to replace Soto and compete for the first team and a new right winger and then we would have a fantastic squad. An additional backup option for the flanks and a DM to compete with Lucas and Spearing would be nice too Maybe I'm being greedy

Also I am aware we have excellent youngsters coming through who could potentially fill these backup roles, such as Sterling and Coady - the future looks promising.

Overall, a great result yesterday against Arsenal, we had to win considering their weakened team, but in past years we have/would have buckled. 2 games in and we have lots of new players adjusting so I feel we did well. Unreal how badly a 0-2 win against Arsenal has been recieved in some quarters.

A shame about the missed penalty against Sunderland - it really would have been game over - but remember that Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs are all in transition. We have a great chance of making the top 4 this year.

3rd/4th and a cup this season and I'd be very happy We can be even stronger next year, both financially and on the pitch.

Enrique and Downing were very good. Adam and Henderson are still adjusting - so be patient folks.

Adam put in some great crosses that his team-mates failed to anticipate, but they will learn to expect such fantastic crosses in due course. I like how he looks for the killer pass - again his new team-mates are learning to anticipate his vision.

Henderson worked hard and was clearly trying to keep it simple - give him a chance - Personally I saw glimpses of potential in his performance. He looks to make good runs and to arrive late in the penalty area, in the years ahead those late runs could become his trademark.

His performance was certainly no worse than what Dirk has been serving up for so many trophyless years on the right-side.

I'd like to think that Henderson will easily become a better option there than Dirk. Kuyt has been given years in that position - served up rubbish and is lauded for running around a lot. Henderson has two games and is panned. (I always rated Kuyt as a stiker btw - he and Suarez worked well last year - an abysmal midfielder though).

£6m for Enrique What a steal Nicely done Kenny. Credit where credit is due. £6m for Adam is looking a safe bet too in my opinion. Cheap as chips

Asise from the new boys the 'regulars' also played their part - Reina was his quality self. Carra was solid defensively but admittedly poor in possession, when we go long he is usually the reason why.

Agger has played 2 games in a row (more counting pre-season) and was quality. Kelly was fantastic and Lucas also did a fine job whilst not having his best game - he was sloppy in possession at times. The bench was stronger than it has been in years - Leaving Suarez on the bench was a masterstroke - Kenny pointed out that Suarez was unable to play at his usual 'non-stop commitment' level for 90mins v Sunderland, which was true. Great we have options. Meireles did very well too when he came on. The double substitution was too much for the knackered 10-man Gunners.

Haven't been on here for a while - as all the Aguero nonsense did my nut in, so hello all. A good start to the season methinks. Hello Ed002 if you're about - he's the voice of reason here - badly needed at times. lol.

I'm not one of those that thinks all players are above getting a bit of a slagging just 'cos the play for Liverpool. But slagging our players after 2 games is ridiculous. If it was May and we were 12th in the League then maybe i'd understand but Jesus folks, calm down

It's looking good. I can't wait for the Bolton match We WILL improve and we're already a much better (and happier) side/club than this time last year. So everyone cheer up. One game at a time We can do this sh*t

Guys good team performance yesterday we got three points AWAY with four new payers in the team... Downing and enrique looked sharp adam had some good moments but needs a bit more time to settle into the midfield hendo showed bags of energy and created plenty of space in the middle just beds to be a bit mired confident when he's on the ball and for all those slating big andy just remember what he did to us last season. Judge him after christmas then we will have a true reflection on how good our bad he is but until then lets woolley him and see what he can do.

Don't think we played that well yesterday, but in a way feel very positive. To play like that against Arsenal and still come away from the Emirates with 3 points is fantastic. This is what Man Utd have been able to do for the past couple of seasons - not at their best but still pinching points from their rivals. It will take a bit of time to work out how best to utilise Andy Carroll, he is a dangerous player and if used right will get us a lot of goals. Thought Enrique looked like he'd been there for ever and the other new players will settle into the rhythm eventually.
C'mon Reds - good times

Well what a difference 100m has made, obviously arsenal where in a bad way yesterday but some very solid and confident defending apart from one or two good nasri runs(didn't see him do anything else for the 90 mins). Enrique showed more of his potential, cleaver and composed. Suarez and merieles off the bench was good for their rest and impact on the game. Maybe a cb for back up but getting gerrard and Johnson back don't see us needing a new forward( at least till Jan), all we can hope for is some consistency and get back into Europe contention, love the site eds, ps wats ur rating out of 10 for signing lionel aguerovilla?

do you think that if we kept Joe Cole and he stays clear from injury he could push for a starting place? I have know idea where but if injuries to other players arise he can play anywhere across the middle or has the arrivals of Adam, Downing & Henderson made him surplus for requirements.

One thing that totally captured my attention was KK comment about "the way we play". Yes the signings and balance looks good - but most importantly KK is building a squad so we coach all players the game intelligence they need to succeed. The pattern of play must be diverse and smart. KK is confident in the men he has assembled to grasp this thinking and technique - I am sure this will get better and come to fruition.
Personally I do hope we could get two more players in. My preference would be one of Adam Johnson or Hulk AND Cahill.

After reading some of the posts, i'll be expecting a few anti-henderson flags at the next game..

It's shocking, the lads 20 and he's played two games for us, yes, two. Give the lad a break. Reserve your final judgement until at least the end of the season.

What on earth is Kenny doing to our club..he buys Henderson for 20 mil-avarge... Adam-average... Carroll-average..and sells aquilani...may god help us..and he still wants to buy average centre backs like scott dan and gary cahill...when he can get subotic, hummels, godin,Tiago silva,E.Garay-these are players that perform well at international level..which makes them world class...

AnfieldPete you've defo mis read my post. It was aimed at a poster called Roy who said we'll be crud while Carroll is playing in his opinion. My reply was to him well you better get used to us playing crud if thats his opinion. Why not read my other posts from yesterday, or further back were i've always rated Andy Carroll, i thought he played very well yesterday, never once, not once go though the archives pal have i ripped on Carroll, or questioned K.K's judgement. Not this old cheggy of shouting down other posters. Why dont you read my posts on Big Andy and you'll see i rate him very highly. The bandwagon's gone Pete, your too late. You should of jumped on it when you had chance. I posted yesterday that i was proud of everyone of our players, thought Carroll did the spade work, grafting and working his socks off, for Luis and Raul M to reap the rewards. I never have, and never ever will question what K.K does. It was sarcasm towards Roy. I dont speak with a forked tongue pal, i'll always support Liverpool, the players K.K picks and anything he does from signing to subs he makes. I.ve been accused of blind loyalty for backing him unconditional, your wrong Pete. Andy Carroll is a monster who'll i think re of price tag will be a massive part of are success in our future success. Jonson6

Just a quick word to extol the virtues of some of the other club's pages on here.
Go to Celtic's page and read the posts by Wee Pat.
They're in the vernacular, but are class.
And yesterday, after the game, I had a quick look at the Arsenal page. Someone had described Walcott as being like "a spider on roller skates".
Brilliant.
I chuckled all night thinking of that.

do other fans think we should buy a good c.b. and a skillful forward as back-up, this would make our squad as strong as its ever been, such a change in the squad since kk took over, things are looking really great for the future,we will allways have moaners on , but i suppose most of them must admit what a difference 8 months in charge , with help from the owners that the king has made, i have heard on other sites some douting kenny, but i dont ,we are geting the old liverpool fc back where we belong at the very top.........lfc

The trend I noticed so far is that Liverpool have been playin very efficient and economical type of football under KK. Like German national team at their best...
There's not so many pointless passes across the pitcn anymore, and players always look to get the ball forward in as few "propper" passing moves as possible. And it pleases me...

Assume that the Arsenal was playing Manchester United yesterday with Howard Webb as the referee with Frimpong made a tough tackle on Vidic in the First couple of Minutes. He has been sent-off in very first minute and Arsenal may have played with 10men for almost 90 Minutes.,
And, refereeing Decisions continued to Biased towards Liverpool and Particularly against Andy Caroll. In 2007/08 season's opening day when we played Aston Villa Carew has bullied and Run over our defenders. Now a days, there are many players like Jones of Stoke City and so on are continually bullieing the defenders and they are allowed to do so. And, Caroll when he was at Newcastle has allowed to play bullish. And, when he comes to Liverpool he has been repeatedly penalised for very minimal contacts. In opening day match against Sunderland, he scores a well taken goal but was disallowed due to very very minimal contact. If he had scored in the match against Sunderland, his confident will be sky high right now and we may demolished Arsenal.
Greetings Apologies

Jose(solid and still need good communication with pepe and need to stop passing the ball too often to pepe),downing(supeb but need to play with other team mates and not carrol alone inside the18 yard box),Adams(need to improve on his defence ability),Kelly(did well and need to keep his place. Wondering if he call play CB as he does RB. If yes no need for cahill),Agger( please stay injury free because you are the best at that position)Carragher&pepe(nice work),Lucas(Superb),Carrol and Hendo Need to stay from the bench for some time and very involve in Carling cup so that he call learn and improve or better still to be introduce when we are leading.KK to sign another top striker. LFC to fight for trophies and not top four.

Yesterday's win could prove very crucial in light of what's likely to happen tomorrow night and this coming weekend.

-United beat Spurs
-We beat Bolton
-City beat Spurs
-United beat Arsenal

Come Monday morning, we six points clear of Arsenal and seven ahead of Spurs, both whom we rivalling for top 4.
Significantly as well, the home games against Bolton and Man Utd affords the great opportunity to improve on our goal difference, whilst Spurs and Arsenal's are likely to get (more) negative with trips to Old Trafford for both teams and with Spurs to play City and us.

So by Mid September we could well be ahead of both the Londoners (perhaps 12+ points) with a superior goal difference as well.

With the two key area signings (Downing and Enrique) settling in nicely thus far; Cahill possibly to come in soon; Johnson to come back in coupla days; the fitness levels of Suarez, Lucas and the rest of team improving, and Kenny progressively stamping his blueprint, the only logical way from here is one: onwards and upwards.

Once the fitness is up to scratch, I expect us to be the crushing machine we ordinarily are at Anfield: winning 9/10 of the matches we play there and scoring goals for fun.
Away we'll convincingly bag few, but, equally, scrap many (except if it's at Old Trafford or Bridge. When we win here we do so often convincingly).

It makes no sense to me that folks want United to get beat tomorrow.
Look, it's NOT United we battling for top 4, that's Spurs and Arsenal. Like it or not, United, Chelsea and City WILL be up there.

Were Spurs to win tomorrow (never going to happen), beat City, they'd be well set for their game against us, and as we all know, theirs has been a difficult place for us to go to the past few years.
The exponential impetus and steam they'd build would simply make our work more difficult.

Arsenal as well HAVE to lose at Udinese Wednesday. In this mess they're in, losing out on the Champions League and its revenues (absolutely VITAL in light of their debt) would be a colossal, overarching blow to them.

Their lure would rapidly tail off and the board may likely curtail any planned spending this window.
Restlessness among their fans would intensify and morale would shoot down to an all-time low.

All this will be to our advantage.
In 2009/10, it was us in a not too dissimilar situation to Arsenal; Spurs took full advantage.
Now it's Arsenal being circled by the vultures.

The sun is shinning, I smell blood and the iron is hot, are going to strike or what?

Only negative for Hendo is that some of his passes were played behind the target when moving forward, holding up the play slightly. Besides that i think the young lad performed well, and all in all was a good team display, we will certainly improve too as the players fitness levels increase.

Hi ed,
We do need a 3rd striker,I prsonally wasn't impressed with our performance against the gunners,a win is a win,but for me lpool lacked an edge to there game until Suarez came on,we only played arsenal 2nds for god sake, the worst player on the pitch was Henderson,£20 mil ,is a joke some 1 explain that to me,play like that and we won't get top 4,,

21 Aug 2011 10:02:25
On the controversial subject that is Andy Carroll, I will say this :
We have to give the lad some time.
He is not yet properly fit, but he played his part yesterday.
He is one of those players that does not immediately strike you as a Liverpool player, say like Suarez or even Adam. Those players that are are comfortable and have time on the ball. But he does give another dimension and he does have the potential to be a beast. So let's leave him to develop some more.
Hendo will be a good one, no problem about that. One of those unsung Liverpool players that you don't really notice but who is a vital part of the machine.

Morning the Redmen
Firstly, Enrique. I posted after his debut that I thought he did well. That continued yesterday. TBH, I wasn't that over-enamoured when he came, but fair play to the lad, he looks a very good buy. Even though it is very early days.
And the team is starting to fire. I am really liking how it's starting to form. Let's not forget here, that we're missing 2 x England internationals but not missing them, if you know what I mean.
I am not sure if Stevie and Johnson are gonna get their places back when they're fit. And where they will play on the park is by no means certain as well. Who'd have thought that a season or two back ?
Hopefully we can get shot of a few of the squad, and another 1 or 2 in.
January 2012 then becomes very interesting.

Having watched the game against the gunners yesterday, I can say that I was very pleased with the performance of Downing, Enrique and Adam. I think one of our best signing this year is without any doubt Downing. He is awesome and for me he is better than Mata and he will get better with king kenny. However, I am disappointed with Henderson but still think the guy needs time to settle and he will be great in the future. King Kenny should take a lesson with the game and should never play Caroll as a lone striker

My Dad said "Take no notice son Liverpool Fc will be the Greatest team in the World one day even if we are only in the 2nd Division:Them Evertonians are just Glory Hunters.

Will you guys cut some slack on Carroll? It's only been the second game. Look at the bright side, we've never been a real threat when it comes to set pieces for the past few years. At least the point men for set pieces have been increased with Carroll around. Give him a few games to really gel with the rest. Adam has never had a real fitness training before, now he has. That guy's brilliant. You can see the glimpses from the first 2 games. For Henderson, come on guys, he's still young. Don't bombard him based on these 2 games. No one knows who Gerard was when Owen was the main man back then. Give him a few years to blossom to his fullest of potential. As a true Red, get behind those guys who're lagging behind and praise those who're playing well. Peace. YNWA. P.S The King knows his stuff, he's gonna turn the table around for sure.

we had five new players in our team today, five, they ll be rubbish hot in a month or twos time when they start getting to know each others game

suarez diff class, and for now, just for now raul should be in ahead of hendo, raul is there, hendo is on his way there

we dont need cahill, we have martin kelly who can move to centre back if needs be

i think we need another tricky forward of suarez s ilk, someone with skill unpredictablity and most of all unrivalled passion to win.

feel a bit sorry for arsene wenger he started out with this plan to build a great team like barcelona and turning them into a great team

stuburn to the end he still cant see that the minute they reach their peak they r gone to clubs that offer bigger money

soon the fans r going to say enough is enough and a very good manager will b lost to the epl he has to buy now and buy experenced players which will cost a lot of money

kenny has already bought a mixture of the best talent in the league young and british with bags of potential who want to play for the club and will die for the shirt they will b here for the long term and the good times will b back soon

next season all we will have to add is one or to players and so on after that to improve the team and theneverybody will get there marquee singings every year

After today's great victory at the Emirates, its time for Glen Johnson to move into the right midfield position. We all know at times his game is in the attacking aspect and I feel he would make a great player on the wings. Kelly has taken his place in the squad at right back and Enrique has certainly claimed left back after two very assuring appearances in the left back position. Here's hoping Johnson is successful in midfield (if it happens).

To all the anonymous part-time typists who slate Carroll, Henderson and the rest:

1.
Mata is a terrible player, I watched him play one game, he was rubbish and barely got a touch.

2.
Hazard has no perception and plays in the french league. This is the equivalent of playing in the Scottish third division. He is worse than Filip Sebo.

3.
Aguero only scores when he uses his father-in-law's hand of god trick. If you pause the game when he takes a shot you can clearly see he punches the ball.

Who do you think we should have bought?
Think again because they're s****

Cannot believe all the negativity from LFC supporters over what has gone on during the summer and the first 2 games of the season. Cast your minds back to this this time last season, no money, players wanting to go and a manager, who quite simply, was not good enough for LFC. Move forward a year, almost £100m spent on new players, who actually WANT to wear the shirt It's about time those people that find something or someone to complain about moved on. So we haven't bought Mata, Sanchez etc........what we do have is the Main man back in charge, new owners who are willing to spend and a team that is exactly that a TEAM...so get a grip and support Kenny and boys or move on with the new breed of glory hunting supporters...............

people are making you sound really angry you would
think we had just been battered 6/0 by a third division team, last week we were not that good this week better as long as we improve week to week we will be fine and by the way we won.Arsenals side
was not that great but they will be in the top 5 this year .lets put it in perspective imagine watching
liverpool at anfield with less than twenty thousand
in attendance in the second division with a player named fred morris as one of your starters and ever time you made a comment everbody in the ground could hear you
thats upsetting. We all THINK we know whats needed but the owners and management are doing

Evening reds & eds , I posted the other day about all the people moaning & I still can't believe all the doom & gloom merchants on here r they really Liverpool fans or worried mancs slagging r team , it doesn't matter if arsenal weren't at full strength it also doesn't matter if we didn't score til they went down to 10 men at the end of the day we won & as kk said & anyone with a brain knows u can only beat what's put in front of u & I think we played well , I thought Henderson done well Enrique & Kelly were superb & pls stop slagging Carroll of he might not score every game but he's not lazy like some people say his presence draws defenders towards him creating space for others , I'm happy with the start we have made things r more promising than last year so pls Liverpool fans get behind the team . Steve

well.....we've had worse days...yes arsenal were a shadow of some great teams theyve had in recent times but the reds beat what was put in front of them & beating any team away in the prem with 55000 home fans is no mean feat

i thought adam oozed class, great players seem to have time on the ball & this guy had time, also putting a shift in

henderson pure engine, again nothing spectacular but linked up well

enrique-great,but i was praising him in the 1st half & he gave a daft corner away but he was class

downing has been reds player of the season,i knew for the villa he was week in week out performing & so far so good for the reds

kelly-what a player...fingers crossed he keeps fit...glen who?

lucas-most are appreciating the job he does now,he is 1 tough cookie to come through the stick he has endured

best of all the individual perfomances for me though is the way the team is playing,im enjoying watching them again thanks to KK... god bless him x

am amazed with all the grief andy carrol is getting the reason suarez and meireles looked so good was the defenders were mentaly exausted chasing him all afternoon if thats the outcome every game dont care if he never scores when him and luis start together there will b two of them to watch so he should get a bit more freedom great result today just need to keep it going now
