"This is the Liverpool page. Try posting on the arsenal page " 🙈.

21 Apr 2017 20:13:47
That made me lol.

21 Apr 2017 22:49:09
Dangerous game you're playing! lol.

21 Apr 2017 23:52:18
Extremely dangerous lol Ed 002 is more ruthless than my Mrs on her moon.

{Ed033's Note - What are you talking about, Ed002 likes nothing more than eating some fava beans and a nice Chianti, while enjoying the silence of the lambs. 😋

22 Apr 2017 09:18:32
Dare I say it. Potential post of the season!

22 Apr 2017 14:49:51
Couple of hypothetical questions on the sharkopod. Arsenals biggest deal would be acquiring Allegri. The clubs need a character and Allegri is the best. He could even persuade Sanchez to stay at club. Kolasiniac is a very good signing for Arsenal. He is a proper defender.

22 Apr 2017 18:02:48
Wouldn't mind us signing Kolasiniac a left back who can actually defend.

21 Apr 2017 19:36:45
Hey lfcdiamond1, I am interested in a couple of tickets as well! what is your twitter/ email if it is ok to contact? Any help would be much appreciated!

21 Apr 2017 19:53:31

You can actually sign up for a membership mid season. Only in june and its yearly one and you get buy tickets july and novemeber for first and second half of season respectively.

Then there is just local member sales and local general sale.

Either be a member or have an l1 postcode. Pain tbe ass tbh becuase i live over the water i can't buy ticksts until next season.

So back to lfc. Is your connect all legit and that? How are the prices. Tried ticket master r what ever and there starting at like 145 each.

Hey Ed's just a quick question now uefa have admitted to making a mistake with sakho are Liverpool eligible for sort of compensation? That call ruined our season in the end it could have been a different situation in that Europa league final if he was involved just a thought really.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - No.}

21 Apr 2017 13:46:36
Let it go mate. We would have lost that final with David Copperfield in defence.

21 Apr 2017 14:40:17
Sahko would not have stopped Moreno and a complete midfield meltdown from happening.

21 Apr 2017 15:49:31
Probably but it's just stated on sly that we might be looking for compensation after all.

21 Apr 2017 18:47:05
As a club I think we have to accept the result and move on.
At the end of the day, the club took the decision to suspend Sakho prior to UEFA.

21 Apr 2017 19:06:35
The important thing isn't that LFC get anything back from this, the important thing is that UEFA and WADA get their houses in order!

21 Apr 2017 21:06:43
Klopp has given Sakho a far longer ban than Uefa ever did 😋.

22 Apr 2017 06:46:33
Considering how him and Moreno down the left wasn't the most secure combo against Dortmund would be pushing it to claim his absence cost us that final.

22 Apr 2017 08:46:14
Agree with Fresh. Sakho made Moreno bearable on the left of defence, which we exploited for attacking.

21 Apr 2017 09:54:55
Hi Ed001. With Klopp saying yesterday he is happy with our goalkeepers for next season, what is your view on Mignolet's form over the last month or so? I only see highlights and he has been making some good saves, but is he also improving in the other areas that worry you? Thanks mate.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he has been playing better, but it is difficult to judge him as the whole team has been a lot better too, so he is not being tested as much. It would still be an area I would look to improve in, but at least he is showing signs of having improved. The saves he is making now are the ones that were going straight through him before. He just has to keep learning.}

21 Apr 2017 10:07:21
Thanks ed, much appreciated.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

21 Apr 2017 11:55:57
Personally I'm happy with the goal keepers we have but would like to see a top class goal keeping coach brought in who I don't know, any idea Eds1?

{Ed001's Note - I still think bringing back Xavi Valero would be good.}

21 Apr 2017 12:13:30
ed01 would valero be open to coming back to lfc?

{Ed001's Note - not sure mate, he was open to it a few years back, no idea if he still would be.}

21 Apr 2017 14:43:29
The GK position is no longer an issue personally PROVIDED there is improved coaching from the staff, desire and drive to be the best by both Karius and Migs as well as a well-drilled defence put in front of them.

We can either get an improved GK in or improve the coaching and defence around them. Either way, improvement is needed and we are seeing it now. Long may it continue.

21 Apr 2017 14:34:10
I think mignoletagoalin should definitely go a couple of good games doesn't make him a worldy between the sticks😬Has everyone forgot how many points this guy has cost us. people saying without our injuries we'd be challenging for the league? With a tidy keeper we'd be challenging for the league in my opinion . just my honest opinion not slagging the fella off just he's not up to lfc standard. think of what we would be like with degea cortois lloris chech? if it wasn't for degea united would be fighting relegation lol🤣.

21 Apr 2017 17:04:14
Where is Valero now? I don't think Rafa brought him to Newcastle, so is he still at Real Madrid?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know to be honest.}

21 Apr 2017 19:35:31
Pretty sure he's at Newcastle with Rafa.

21 Apr 2017 19:48:06
I don't think he is Ron. He's not listed on their website as part of their coaching staff. It seems Rafa kept Simon Smith, who was there when he arrived, as goalkeeping coach.

He's not Real's first team goalkeeping coach either and I can't find any news article saying that he's at another club. Assuming he hasn't retired or isn't still at Real in some other capacity (youth team, maybe? ), he would seem to be available.

21 Apr 2017 23:11:58
I think he went to Oviedo after he left Real Madrid, but was only there for a short time before he went to a Chinese club. Not 100% sure about that though, but i think that's were he is now. Heibei Fortune China or something like that the club was called ( probably spelled different ) . I believe its the club were Pellegrini is manager.

21 Apr 2017 20:56:48
Ed01 it would be interesting to know where valero is and if he's available to see if hed come back. Thanks for the answers.

{Ed001's Note - I had assumed he had followed Rafa to Newcastle, but I can find no record of him doing so. I will see if I can find out.}

22 Apr 2017 06:51:54
I thought Mignolet put a few good punched clearances from crosses against WBA. If the team as a whole can improve the tracking/ blocking of runs to give that extea second of soace he is a big unit with a good reach so has the tools. Same with Karius.

22 Apr 2017 09:35:48
We literally do this every time to ourselves.
Migs is not a terrible keeper, he's an unreliable keeper. He will put in a few games where he looks like the beginning of the keeper we want him to be. Then 4-5 games down the line he literally throws one in the net.
If he doesn't make a stupid error between now and the end of the season then maybe he's improving. Otherwise it's the same old story.

21 Apr 2017 09:54:15
Klopp is bemoaning injuries and mentioned what could have been with regards to the title challenge.

Surely we should have been good enough to beat Swansea, Bournemouth and West Ham at home? Sunderland and Hull away?

Believable11 Unbelievable4

21 Apr 2017 14:46:44
I don't buy the injuries part of it even tho it is a near tragedy with how many players we have out at the moment. Our team struggled cos we lacked belief and desire vs these teams. How do I know that? We are showing the drive and belief and fight needed to beat teams like Stoke and WB away and we won IN SPITE of the injuries. That is what is needed way before we address the squad depth. As for the PL, we were NEVER in it to begin with, IMO. Why? The holes we have in this team are too many to overcome right now. With time, definitely we will be in it.

21 Apr 2017 15:23:32
That's 13 points dropped from those games. We'd be right in the mix if we won those.

21 Apr 2017 17:35:36
if your nanny had balls she would be your granda.

21 Apr 2017 19:12:55
N Red - of course we were in the title race. After 11 weeks we were first. After 20 weeks, well over halfway through, we were still second with just 5 points to catch (including a game against the leaders) . The only way we could be more in it is to be actually be winning it.

21 Apr 2017 23:29:24
if you think a team as flawed as ours with the holes we still have in it and lack of consistency and plagued by injuries and squad depth, was in the title race vs better and more consistent teams, then that is your opinion.

22 Apr 2017 06:53:35
Maybe Eds can offer more info but does he mean injuries across the squad that meant he couldn't mix things up or rest players with knocks? Especially for some of those shouldn't have lost games?

{Ed001's Note - that is what he is trying to say.}

22 Apr 2017 09:37:43
I agree with hjikle.
By N Reds calculations Leicester were never in the title race last season.

21 Apr 2017 09:31:52
So sad to hear about ugo ehiogu from playing at youth level for Middlesbrough's i got to meet him a few times generally a really nice guy an had time for the youth teams was nice to see him actually take that route of training the u23 at spurs R. I. P.

Really shocking news that is no age at all.

21 Apr 2017 09:28:23
Hi Ed001

Wondering what your thoughts were on Henderson? i really do love him as a player and would be gutted if we phased him out

What Klopps thoughts on him and plans for him?

Thanks.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I like him a lot too, Klopp really rates him, he is the one real leader we have in the squad. Unfortunately his injury problem is a long term thing that has to be managed for the rest of his career. Gradually that will probably lead to us phasing him out, at least to a degree. He will need to be eased through a season. In the short term we will be looking to strengthen the central midfield, with a view to, depending on how things stand, allow him the rest he needs and/or to phase him out with a view to moving him on. It is not a short term plan, as things stand he will be still at the club, as captain, for the entirety of next season, at least.}

21 Apr 2017 14:58:34
Spot on, Ed. If any player wantds to learn to be a true professional, Hendo (and Lucas) is really the protype to follow. The boy has improved immensely and rose through the ranks (and through severe abuse by some "fans") to be the essential cog in the wheel of BR's (who wanted him gone by the way) team that almost won the PL and now to Klopp's. People slate him cos he is not SG (and who is? they can' tell you) or for saying he is not a general or whatever. They don't know football cos if they did, they would know how great Hendo is especially tactically. I hope we can help him through his troubls cos he has been a great servant to us.

22 Apr 2017 06:56:33
I know the medical problem he has is a really awkward thing generally but is this something where if his training load was managed he could get through games for quite a few years or would it be a case of whatever happens he is likely to miss chunks of each season?

{Ed001's Note - it really depends, it should be possible to manage it, but every person is different. It should be a case of a couple of injury hit years to sort it out and then it being manageable for the rest of his career.}

22 Apr 2017 09:01:43
He is out with a "foot injury" as far as I can see. Is it stress fracture (-s) caused by his previous metatarsal or is he having some soft tissue problems? Anyone know?
