After watching spainish cup final I woudnt want Jose near our club dirty sly fouls the whole time, give me kenny every time.

ARE U FOR REAL??. . He just tactically beat the Unbeatable. .Barca are the best football team that has ever played the game and he knew how to beat them wouldn't be surprised if they done them in the champs lge and he lifts the big one again.

Before you slag him off look at what he's done. .Yes we are happy with KK but mourinho is prob one of if not the best coach in the world.

Dave.

You know what. Every time I come on this site (which is every day) My eyes always go to that advertisement with the 8 birds in boxes. Even though she's quite fit, does her with the grey bob hat on do anyone else's head in with that stupid pout? FFS.

Consider yourself lucky to get 8 hotties & all I get to see is some bint getting her feet chewed by a load of fish.

No, hang on. I've just seen the ad your talking about. Yeah she's pouting like a gommo alright. But then again the girl above her looks like she's pressing her face up against a window . .not a good look.

Not very original like, but how about this. .

His price-tag proved he was a red,
Carroll! Carroll!
You'll Never Walk Alone we said,
Carroll! Carroll!
We bought the lad from Tyne-a-side,
He heads the ball he does not hide,
Andy Carroll! Liverpool's number 9!

"There's only one Andy Carroll" is too simple & plain. Would love for everyone to really try & think of a good one & post them up.

Just watched Spanish cup final. . impressive stuff. Madrid players played as if they were ready to "die" for the cause - Mourinho is a great motivator. But so is Kenny Dalglish. He is godsend and in our last 2 matches it looked as if our players were ready to "die" for him. Bring on next season.

I expect moves for adam, enrique and young to be completed by mid july.

Rush, Souness, Dalglish, Fowler, Hansen, Banks. .

Its a joke.

Rush and Dalglish are too good for Fifa, their overall would be 1,000,000+ :)

Currently, only a fifth-place finish will be sufficient enough for the Reds to gain entry into next season's Europa League.

However, should City prevail against Stoke City in next month's Wembley final but fail to secure a top-four berth in the Barclays Premier League, the team finishing in sixth will be allocated a place in Europe

Why are people posting that we will sign Adam and Enrique and Owen when they are all clearly not good enough for Liverpool. Young is just about good enough but should not be our firts choice.The Polish guy at PSV (cant spell his name sorry) is something special and should be signed with a decent striker (Benzema anyone?) and one of Taiwo or Baines.

You go on about Adam Enrique and Judas not being good enough then say we need to sign Taiwo, dear God.

Who we should give another 12 months to see if they come good:-
Insua, Pacheco, Amoo, Ecclestone, Darby, Amoo

Who should be in the senior squad:-
Ayala, Flanagan, Sterling, Coady, Suso

Who should take a back seat a bit:-
Carragher

Re aqualani(spelling) if Juve ain't prepared to pay what we want then bring him back. We always give in to clubs and sell for a lose! Juve are just taking the pee thinking we need the money! I am sure there are other interests other than Juve? I think he would excel under Kenny. And actually enjoy his football.

To this,
Would like your thoughts on this ed ??? {Ed001's Note - not a chance, neither are worth signing, Bale just cries about being hurt after losing the ball and Huddlestone makes Molby look mobile, but doesn't have anything like his range of passing, nor his intelligence and positional sense.}

Good one Ed and ur talking about molby now not when he use to play. Lol. Gareth bale is a Nancy boy we do not want him please get over him.

Fowler is god {Ed001's Note - sorry, I should have pointed out that I meant Molby now. I have my suspicions it was one of my fellow editors that sent the question in as we were discussing them and I was talking about what I thought of those two in much stronger words on our widget!}

I'd like to second an earlier post, and offer support to all Celtic fans. They did offer brilliant support to our club after Hillsborough. I can remember going to the benefit match up there and 60,000 celts turned up. Everyone singing YNWA before the game.
So all the best to Neil Lennon & Celtic FC.

I've been told by my mate that knows Steven Gerrard personally that senior players (Gerrard, Carragher, Reina, Kuyt) have been told who the club are chasing in the transfer market. . He told me that the players are all very excited about next season, he said they're looking at 12 possibilities to strengthen the squad! ! He never said how many or who would be joining but only 2 players mentioned in the press will join and that Damien Comolli will use the time in Asia to tie up a deal for a young Japanese playmaker. I'm just passing on what i've been told.
have you really got no social life as to where you have to make stuff up get a grip just say its what you think and not sum1 who knows the legend gerrard its embarrasing!

They will be pleased to get rid of Payet over the summer. The opposition will be Paris Saint Germain and possibly Rennes. Liverpool would likely need to pay rather more than the figure you quoted. There is a chance of interest from a West London club as well.}

I would really like us to Sign Payet, but how do we purchase him, when Comolli deals with the transfers, and he has said that he would not go back to St Et to cherry pick there players. Ross

Prior to 2009, FA Cup runners-up would automatically enter the UEFA Cup when the FA Cup winners were already in Europe by any route. Now the Wembley losers only play in the Europa League if they have lost to a team which has qualified for the Champions League.

Rule 2.0.4 of the Europa League has left plenty confused. On Monday the Premier League appeared to be unaware of the rule when it initially suggested Stoke would be in Europe, which was then contradicted by the Football Association. But now those in the corridors of power have conceded that European qualification is no longer quite so simple.

However, the new UEFA rule gives them (Liverpool) a lifeline, because if Man City win the FA Cup and finish fifth then sixth place in the Premier League will earn a Europa League place.

So in a nutshell we have to hope that Manchester City win the FA Cup and that Tottenham finish fourth, ahead of Manchester City.

I have never been a fan of qualifying or winning things based on technicalities. It is best if we just aim to finish 5th and know that we will be in Europe next season regardless of what other teams around us do.

Does this mean if we finish 6th and city win the fa cup we get europa league by finishing 6th ? {Ed001's Note - yes.}

ED, reading that rumour about Demba Ba got me wondering how can a player fail a medical at one club (Stoke) and pass a medical at another (West Ham) in a matter of days? Is it a premier league standard medical or up to the clubs how extensive the medical is? And as a side note was it revealed why he failed the medical at Stoke?

Always wondered about this one.

Thanks
Glov3z the Red {Ed003's Note - Dodgy knee I believe,It's up to each individual club,there's no standard prem medical}

The player that Chelsea are including in the deal is Sturridge. This is going to make me unpopular but i think there is a very good chance he will leave in this transfer window.

Also we are close to signing four new players.

well after macca said that Adam, Young, Marveaux and Benzema is all but done so must of been them. but take away marveaux and Bezema because by jan they were ruled out due to a long injury (marv) and injury to Higuian making Benzema, Real's only other replacement for him. so i would think it may have been Dzsudzsak, Adam, Young (poss) and Elia/ Benzema(if Real got Llorente)

Hello all. . .
I have not posted on here in ages. . .
Still read everything though!
I think that kenny needs to be careful in the summer. . . we need better quality players but only in certain positions as we do not want to stunt the growth of several youngsters who are coming through.
I would like to see ngog, poulsen, the greek, jovanovic, aurelio(love him but never fit), maxi, degen, el zhar, aqualani and brad jones all sold. Obviously we need a good quality left back with robinson as back up/ fighting for the place. I would put johnson back at right back with flannaghan as his competition. I would have kelly at centre half from next year and I would not buy another centre back at all as we have carra, wilson, skertel agger and kelly. . also young wisdom coming thru as well. I think we should buy two really quality wingers, one on either side and I would promote sterling and tony silva to provide cover for these positions and we would still have joe cole as well (willing to give him another season as there is no point in selling him- we would not get a bean) Only one really brilliant centre mid should come in and I am talking world class. . . as we have spearing, lucas, stevie g, raul and also shelvley and suso ready to come in. . I would then buy 1 striker who could play with carroll or suarez a mixture of the two would be good. .hulk for example and then I would promote ngoo and maybe morgan if he carries on the way he is. . . TO SUM IT UP. . . I ONLY THINK WE NEED 6 SIGNINGS IN THE SUMMER. . . OUR YOUNGSTERS ARE SHOWING THAT THEY CAN FILL IN THE GAPS. . . WELL DONE KENNY! ! Catch you guys on the rebound>>>>>>>>

I believe that we should go in for wesley sneijder in the summer As he is reportably unsettled at inter it would be a big ask as we probably won't have champions league football but he might want to link up with his friend dirk kuyt and want to be a part of the new Liverpool also Fenway Sports Group did say if a top player became available and would improve the team greatly we would be in for them I know its unlikely but it's not impossible

20 Apr 2011 11:10:30 Have heard from a friend in Italy that the 'agreement' Juventus are trying to come to Liverpool with over Aquilani is rather than pay the £14.5m option they want to pay £7m and give us momo back. what do you think ed? {Ed002's Note- I have no heard that at all. They certainly plan to meet with Liverpoo and try and negotiate a better dea for themselves.}
- - - - - - -
This is 100% untrue. Juve are looking to negotiate the fee down to single figures full stop. They aren't as broke as media claims and I fully expect aquaman to stay at juve for a fee of 10.5m

Ed, do you expect the majority of Liverpool s transfer dealings to occur during the start of the window or right at the sodding end of the window like in January! Fair enough players like to go on holiday but surely it would make sense to sort your future out first, sign the contract then go and relax in the sun and contemplate playing with Stevie G and co whilst sipping an ice cold red stripe?! {Ed002's Note - Sadly it is not as simple as that. All buying clubs will want to do as much as is possible in advance or at the start. Clubs selling players who have a number of clubs looking at their players will want to take their time to get the best deal.}

We will only sign top quality players who will go straight into the first team this summer as kenny will rely on the likes of flannagan, robinson, suso, sterling etc for back up.

I expect moves for adam, enrique and young to be completed by mid july.

call me jiggy.

You say we're only going to sign quality players. And then you Adam, enrique and Young. I Think we have a very different oppinion, when it comes to quality.
I Think the Benzema transfer looks very unlikely because of his performances lately. But i would to see it happen! I've heard that KK will go all in for hazard in the summer, both he and comolli are wetting their knickers over this kid. Although unlikely, it would be a massive signing!

I would not like Shrek anywhere near our club. It seems you Mancs have forgotten or chose to forget, what he done to your club. There's no doubting his ability on the pitch but that comes with his many, many flaws off the pitch.

We've got things back to normal at our club, for the 1st time in years. So why bring some one in like Shrek to destabilise our club (like he's done at Man.U). Have you not noticed since Torres left that the fans, club and players seem to be happier? And Torres never did half the stuff your thug has and will continue to do.

Ed, do you think Harry Redknapp is gonna just go after our transfer targets again in the summer?? {Ed002's Note - Whicha targets did you have in mind? When he is at Chelsea you mean?}

I don't think you'd really want him at Chelsea Ed (I know your a Chelsea fan). . He's a good manager but a blood sucker, he'll spend and spend til there's nothing left. . I was just saying if Liverpool were interested in a quality player Spurs usually try get them, just like Charlie Adam, we had the deal almost done and the wheeler dealer jumps in and ruins it. {Ed001's Note - Redknapp had nothing to do with that deal not going through, the only person to blame there was Adam's agent, Kenny Moyes. He upset Karl Oyston with the way he went about trying to get Adam a move and so Oyston refused point blank to deal with those teams that Moyes had been speaking to, which were Villa and Liverpool. It was absolutely nothing to do with Flash 'Arry.}

Hello eds, I posted a link to this article earlier but it wasn't posted (are links not allowed?). Its quite long, but a good read. The Lucas haters should read it, they might appreciate some of the good points the author makes. I hope you post it. Cheers.

Lucas Leiva: An appreciation

In recent years there has been an explosion of great football writing across the blogosphere. One of the most pleasing aspects of this has been the increasing coverage of tactics generally and ''deep tactical analysis'' in particular. Any number of blogs analysing any number of matters have sprung up - this has been great for those of us who love good writing, good analysis and can't stand listening to an ex-pro tell us that nobody has heard of a man capped by France on numerous occasions.

This proliferation of content has undoubtedly been good for our game and our understanding of the game. However, one of the downsides has been the occasional fetishisation of statistics at the cost of an appreciation of beauty in the game. How does one assess Zlatan Ibrahimovic? One of his nonchalant flicks that finds the back of the net counts for exactly the same as a Darren Bent tap-in but as football lovers we should surely appreciate the former more. Equally, a 'Hollywood Ball' that nearly comes off but is intercepted by some fine defensive work is a finer thing to view than a misplaced pass in the middle of the pitch. Hell, it is probably better to watch than a placed sideways pass.

An army of geeks now exists in the footballing blogosphere who understand graphs and put them to varying uses - some good, some bad and some so mind-bendingly clever I don't really understand. The problem is that the use of these statistics can be used in any number of ways and, further, massive emphasis is put on certain statistics.

Denilson has a 92% pass completion rate but Steven Gerrard only has a 76% pass completion rate.

There are bloggers out there seriously arguing that a fairly agricultural midfielder is better than an artisan because X stat says so. They know the price of everything but the value of nothing. Never mind that the two players may be very different; or that their teams play different styles of football; or that the teams set out in different formations. Unimaginative bloggers use their statistics, as the old quote goes, like a drunk uses a lampost: for support rather than illumination.

The very best blogs (the likes of Zonal Marking - who is the gold standard regarding tactical analysis) understand that statistics only tell a small part of the story.

It might be appropriate for a creative central midfielder to have a lower pass completion rate because they are playing the sorts of high-risk passes that set up attacks. Such passes are more likely to be unsuccessful because they are more likely to be difficult to execute, more likely to be intercepted and are more likely to rely on movement from a team-mate.

For certain midfielders though, a good measure for how they are doing is their pass completion rate (but also the number of passes they make in a game). Possession is increasingly important and hoarding midfielders (particularly allied with ''mugging'' tactics) are important to a possession-based game.
All this leads us rather circuitously to Lucas Leiva.

For a long time Lucas was the b te noire of Liverpool fans and, to many, he isn't exactly Noma of Copenhagan. It wouldn't be a bad bet, if online betting is your thing, to plump for him ahead of Dirk Kuyt as Liverpool's player of the season - for a growing number of Reds fans that is how well he has been playing.

What does he do?

Well, despite some reports to the contrary I'm not certain he is a hoarder nor is he a Makelele-esque defensive midfielder as such. Like so many players, he is more than the sum of his stats.

In many ways he is a 'tender ship' on the pitch - someone who ensures that everybody else can excel in their jobs. Always busy, covering a lot of ground, harrying and pressing whilst not in possession and being Liverpool's link man when they have the ball.

His pass completion rates are usually very strong if not the sort of thing that makes armchair pundits point and stare in slack-jawed wonder. He isn't a basic defensive midfielder but he is an increasingly tidy player who has completed more successful tackles than anyone else in the league this year. This allied with his fine pressing game mean that he not only helps Liverpool in possession, he is key to them gaining it. Many fans will jump on his passing statistics, his ball retention rate and his tackling - all key features of his game - but his presence, and work-rate, are more important. Just him being there opening up space when Liverpool have the ball and closing it down when they don't is more important. It is difficult to evaluate him through traditional evaluation methods.

He brings the best out of the more attacking players around him. Meireles, Kuyt, Suarez and Gerrard all benefit from his work-rate and his rounded contribution to the team. When Liverpool roar, his work is unnoticed. When Liverpool stutter, it is he who often shoulders the blame when it is he who is leading the firefight in midfield.

It isn't just at Anfield - both on and off the pitch - where he is impressing and gaining new fans. The new Brazilian manager, Mano Menezes, has marked him out as Brazil's number 5 and he looks to be playing a key role for the Brazilian eleven.

Whilst the Brazil number 10 shirt is probably the most iconic shirt, and number, in world football (if not world sport). The number 5 is just as important to the Brazilian footballing psyche. In the past the likes of Clodoaldo, Toninho Cerezo and Dunga have occupied that shirt and for many Brazilians it is an important one - the deep-lying playmaker, the heartbeat, the man who runs the game plays in the Number Five shirt. As Lucas put it in a recent interview ''it is where everything starts'.

He is key to Liverpool's continuing charge up the table. He is unlikely to get the credit if they do catch Spurs.

article was by RCM.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Ah, 'Blair Mayne YNWA', making a Fool of himself - once again - but, this time, on his own site! Whatever shall he do? I think he will hide away for a few days, and come back when nobody remembers how much of a tool he made himself look.

Seriously though, how can you say whether I did or did not know about Sahin's injury.? When infact, I did, as of a little thing called iPhone Applications for League's around the world! Also, I watched the highlights - which featured a great goal by young Mario Gotze, can't wait to see him in our lineup - so don't go making comments you don't know anything about, rah?

About the "Real Madrid, Barcelona or Real Madrid" part it was supposed to be "Real Madrid, Barcelona or Inter Milan", and I corrected myself straight away when it was posted, so bice attempt, Blair.

I would like to say thank you to YNWA (Adam) for making Blair look like a Tool, and for understanding what I said - even though it wasn't hard, Blair made it seem hard - and Hats off to you for actually sticking up for a United fan!

I've been taking flack for your BS all day mate. I do not need you, Adam/ Steve, Ed002 or anyone to make me look a "tool". I can manage that on my own.

So you have an iPhone? That means 2 weeks off school then kid, yes?

Blair Mayne, this is copy/ pasted from you - "But Marveaux is a free transfer and should be fit for the start of the season. Were as Sahin just got injured at the weekend and looks as if he won't even be ready for the start of the German season."

As I said, he's out for 6 weeks. So as I said. You are WRONG. ps I think you meant 'whereas' not 'were as'.
Wrong again! ! (Its only banter m8, don't get too wound up by it. . . .but WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! ! lol.

I would like to appologise on behalf of 'Blair Mayne YNWA' as from now on if Liverpool sign a Player who is injured, he is going to Trot down to Anfield / Melwood - being the Goat he is - and Storm into the Board Room, Tear up the Contract and Explain why they cannot sign an Injured player, as it is against his rules.

Lol. Sorry Blair Mayne, you'd argue with anything! As I said, I'm ignorant of Sahin in the sense I haven't seen him play, but a quick check on the internet tells me he'll be out for about 6 weeks (Eurosport) (Yahoo News) (football addicts). . . I haven't seen any other longer estimates. I think you're just being stubborn now. Carroll was out for a month after we signed him for £35m - this guy supposedly has a £6m get-out clause, he'd be ready to go for pre-season for sure. Again, sometimes we're all wrong!

Why would a serious injury putting him out for months affect a transfer? Aquilani saga ! ! Sure we were and may still be after Marveaux?

As for reading your original posts, i did and i thought the wink at the end of my sentence was evidence that was just a bit of banter, and i was just winding Mpez up, never accused him of suggesting they would sign him.

I hate to stick up for Mpez as he's a maure fan, but just because he didn't mention the fact Sahin was injured doesn't mean he isn't aware of it.

Why am i now called Steve? This isn't a hissy fit, just me defending a fellow fan of football who is receiving abuse for not writing everything he knows in one of his posts.

P.S. I forgot to mention Luis Suarez is our number 7, wouldn't want anybody to think i didn't know that just because i didn't include it.

Excatly mate! Why even contomplate buying another injured player (just like Aqua). The risk with Marveaux is minimal as he is free, so why not take a chance IF he is worth it? But like i said i really have no opinion on Marveaux as a good signing or not. I havn't seen anything of him.

Great to read such positive comments coming from Pepe Riena over the last few days. Praising life under Kenny, talking about these BIG wins over the top teams and needing to be consistant and continue it on in to next season. Using the terms 'we' and 'us'.
What with signing a 6 yr deal and talk of renegotiating parts of that contract i am feeling rather positive that he will be staying next season and that someone or someoneS are coming in over the summer to make our squad one to be frightened of!

Blair Mayne - sorry m8, but on the buying injured players debate. . . you've been saying we're signing Marveaux for quite a while, lots of people have. He's always injured according to reports. I'd like to add that if Rafa had his way we would have Emile Heskey, Gareth Barry and Carlton Cole too! He's gonna make a killing from hanging out our dirty linen in public, so much for keeping it inhouse & 'the Liverpool way', I'm sure he'll spin it like he's doing LFC a favour though. .

Ed correct me if i'm wrong but I thought that the summer transfer window opened on the 1st of July each year. Unless this has changed recently?

N.I. RED {Ed001's Note - I don't actually know, I just know what date it is this season, I can't honestly remember what dates it opened in previous years. I just wish they would scrap the windows altogether and return to the old way with windows open until towards the end of each season. It is better for everyone, especially the smaller clubs who can then hang onto their better players until the price is highest or they have to sell and not just have to flog one off in the summer just in case they need the money during the season.}

There is so much talk about how Liverpool can qualify for the europa league, instead of seeing who wins the fa cup or who finishes forth. Why don't we concentrate on winning the rest of our games (which is'nt as easy as it sounds) and hope Spurs slip up. i can see them dropping points against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City all very tough games.

Did anyone catch the Newcastle game last night, the Toon managed to win me abit of money. Also there is a pic on ssn of Danny Simpson squaring up to Hernandez after his dive what a laugh, the poor lad looks like he might cry ha ha.

Also i already firmly believed how bad rick parry was i mean we could have dani alves and vidic in our back four if he wasnt such a joke. {Ed002's Note - The book has been written with a very one sided viewpoint. Liverpool's owners, Fenway Sports Group, have given another indication that Kenny Dalglish will be offered the long-term manager's position at Anfield by opening talks with Steve Clarke over a new long-term deal.
------------------------------------
this has nothing to do with kenny.

20 Apr 2011 12:25:41
{Ed001's Note - that was because the cup winners and runners up qualified through the league anyway. This season that won't be happening, 5th is the only way to get in the Europa League.}

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if City win the FA Cup and finish 5th (with Spurs 4th), they will therefore qualify for the Europa via the FA Cup and NOT their league placing. .this means that 6th place in the league will be allocated the final Europa spot and therefore could be our way in. Of course, it's debatable whether we want to be in it or not, but this provides our most likely way in. Any other combination of results (ie, Stoke winning FA Cup, City finishing 4th, etc) means we won't be in it.

This is what has caused the controversy with Man City playing Stoke (see Radknapp's recent comments about a conflict of interest), and also, us playing Spurs last game. Potentially, losing to them in the hope they get 4th, and City win the cup would advantage us. Bizarre really.

TopCat

{Ed002's Note - You are not wrong. This was my original understanding as well. A while ago there was a press release from The FA stating that Rule 3d app;lied to all European competition and not just the Champions League but this it seems was a poor decision on their behalf. On Monday, they issued a minor clarification that reversed what they had previously said. The summary from TalkSport can be found in last night's Liverpool Banter a little before 18:00. I think there could be a couple of games to move - one involving Liverpool as a defeat could be in the club's favour.}

I honestly think that the Kenny Dalglish petition is just plain stupid. Yes, I feel he does deserve to get knighted but to create a petition and do it in this fashion is just idiotic. When Kenny gets knighted he gets knighted no matter how long it takes. Creating a petition isn't going to get him a knighthood faster the man will do it on his own because he is that type of person. People are going on about Alex F but he has been in the spotlight for the last 20 years. Now that Kenny is back and hopefully gets a contract he will able to show the good work he does and a knighthood will happen that is obvious. Just give it time and it will happen.

With every utterance Rafa just keeps talking himself out of getting any more employment. Just like the other fellow Torres, he needs to just keep his mouth shut now, stay stum, & maybe by slience some fool will think he is clever & aloof, a great tactitician, and be willing to take a chance on him again. Can you just imagine the problem he'd have if he was asked to work with Camolli ! I think not.

On Rafa, and the way he was treated

He talked of his frustrations working with chief executive Rick Parry:

I wanted Florent Malouda last summer but Parry wouldn t pay the signing-on fee, so he went to Chelsea. He brought in Ryan Babel and paid £2million more than we wanted to. He paid too much for Jermaine Pennant and Yossi Benayoun and made a big mistake with Javier Mascherano s contract because he allowed him a get-out clause, which ended up costing the club more money.

When asked why he didn t just walk away from Liverpool if it was so much hassle, and take up one of the regular offers from Real Madrid, he replied: I love the club too much and my wife loves living here. This is my home.

Also, if I go, Reina, Arbeloa, Mascherano and Torres would all leave too. Xabi Alonso will go anyway, because he wants to go back to Spain.

But Paco had gone. Why?
He needed to go. He betrayed me.

I deal in facts. Only facts. I know they ve talked to Jose Mourinho, Fabio Capello and Jurgen Klinsmann about my job, but what can I do?

Mirror Football-Source

{Ed002's Note - They should have asked him (a) why he turned the club in to a laughing stock in Italy with his personal negotiation of the contract for a crocked Aquilani; and (b) who gave his representative to offer Torres to Juventus as part of the deal when Benitez was hawking himself around for a new job before he had left Liverpool.}

LFC fans should be confident in the fact that next season Liverpool will have proper wingers.

This will be positive for LFC because Liverpool rarely had a decent winger in the first team, even during the successfull times enjoyed under Benitez.

Danien Camolli will bring in young footballers with talent and potential.
At the moment France have alot of young talent coming through the ranks. Expect LFC to sign some of these players, due to the interest and knowledge Camolli has with French football.

Your not excatly Mr current affairs are you? Nuri Sahin received a serious injury at the weekend and is ruled out for months. So I don't think that anyone will go for him in the summer.

But if i had to chose were he's going then i'd say he'll be going to your 2nd Real Madrid.

Ps. Using my phone Ed but the Email address is still the same thanks. {Ed003's Note - Noted}"

I do know that he sustained a knee injury at the weekend, against Freiburg.

Infact, Blair, it is you who is not up to date. This being so as I never knew an injury would stop a player from making a transfer? Maybe a new rule has come in, in the last few hours maybe?

No. So Blair, once again my friend, you are wrong.

Ps. It's a 6m buy out. I see that as Criminal for such a player :/ .

I really, really enjoy your posts MPez mate.

I was not wrong. Sahin has a serious injury and will be out for months. Unless you're Rafa Benitez then i don't think anyone will go for him in the summer.

You did NOT know he got injured at the weekend against Freiburg. I didn't even know he got injured against Frieburg but i did know he got injured.

Again MPez you have shown the benefits of using Google. Lets face it mate without Google you'd be h*cked.

Question for the ED's do you know if We've entered into the Inter ToTo cup this year to play European footy or we going for a year without it?

I know i should be optimistic and say we'll def get 5 if not 4 but i'm also a realist and have to ask the question about European Footy as it will affect who we buy and who want's to come.

Red Robbo {Ed002's Note - The Intertoto Cup is no more I am afraid. It went away when the Europa League began.}

Unless your Liverpool and you'll splash all your money on an injured Italian.

I say we continue to play young Robinson (LB) and Flannagan (RB) next season, very impressed with their performance against Arsenal and Robinson matched Walcotts pace!

Eds what do you think?

Bazzaa {Ed002's Note - They are still very young and whilst they will either be squad members next season or loaned out for experience, I do not expect them to be in teh starting 11.}

Morning EDS

If the Rumour is true about Clarke in negotiations with LFC over a proposed three year deal.Then that's fantastic.The question is Do you think he could be a long term replacement for KK?

REDFORLIFE {Ed002's Note - Possibly but I don't think that is a matter for consideration at this time.}

{Ed001's Note - that was because the cup winners and runners up qualified through the league anyway. This season that won't be happening, 5th is the only way to get in the Europa League.}

If City win the fa cup and finish 4th, then Stoke get Europa league football. If City win the fa cup and come 5th, then 6th place gets Europa league football.

All this nonsense of Liverpool shouldn't have tried agaisnt arsenal cos of 19 and Europa league so we should lose a game so we get Uefa cup! I'm sorry but I thought you win every game for the football club.
Football is becoming too confusing.

I agree mate. I wanted a victory on Sunday but when we got the early injurys. I thought it would have been a lot harder to get anything from the game. But all are players played with passion and gave 100% (which is all we ask of them).

The game on Sunday was for me probably my favourite game of the season. The reasons being we had injurys before and during the game to keys players. Like Gerrard, Agger, Carroll, Aurelio, Carragher, Kelly, Johnson. We had missing our whole 1st choice back line our captain and our main striker. Flanagan and Robinson coming in and taking out 2 World Class players (Nasri and Wallcott). But the most important thing i enjoyed is the team showed in this match more than any imo, the team spirit they have for each other. They seem to be playing as a team instead of individuals. That's the effect Kenny has on the players and hopefully continue in the future too.

Play lime that until the end of the season and I'll have some serious egg on my face.
Salute you Jay Spearing really well done. Having players who are gonna break up attacks work bloody hard all day and pass fast and sharp the way Jay does is something I wouldn't trade for anything.
Jay and Lucas are fantastic and the hard work they put in would match any side Xavi and iniesta - piece of cake jay leiva would smash em.
But in all seriousness Stevie better pull his weight cos I'm loving the new generation of LFC
Robinson looks boss. ( but we still need a left back lol )

"So you think Carroll was the reason why we are 6th ATM. He has only 2 goals and been injured for a long period of time. Made no difference whatsoever yet."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

He has made a huge difference! Held the ball up well and been a big physical presence. He has helped defensively from set pieces, been a massive lift to the club and has shown our intent for the future.

He has come back from a big injury and scored twice and is the 4th highest scorer in prem despite being out for months. I think you will find he makes a difference mate!

In reply to:

"If its true that nuri sahin will be available for as little as 5m, why the heck is camolli not breaking his back for him!? 10x better than Adam and would be the long term replacement for stevie! Please go out and sign him before its too late! !"

It's 8m, I think! Cracking deal for him!

But, he is nothing like Stevie G, at all.

Aside from that, he will - most likely - go to one of Real Madrid, Barcelona or Real Madrid.
