No Waro i tell the truth, you are the embarrassment calling everyone out for telling the truth. What are you looking for a statue beside Shankly is it? Even Klopp said we were terrible in the first half. Is Klopp wrong Waro?

02 Oct 2016 01:25:10
shhh. your not allowwed to speak sense here.

02 Oct 2016 01:31:51
ignore that man, i do as do others. keep stating your opinion whilst keeping it respectful to the eds and the pages.

02 Oct 2016 01:42:29
We were without question disjointed in the first half. The first 30 minutes we were all over the place. Started to press in the 30th and as a result saved ourselves from going down 2 or 3 goals. But it's not how you start it's how you finish and we finished well. It's a sign of how we are improving. So in short to say we plyed poorly in the first half is only speaking the truth and there is no reason to dwell on it for we played our game in the second half and won.

02 Oct 2016 03:27:32
Yeah just ignore him, if you've read some of his other opinions you would understand why it's sensible to do that.

02 Oct 2016 08:04:12
Kman big Al, your not doing a very good job of ignoring me are you. Someone down the page made a very good analogy it may have been ed25, referring to the modern day fan as " a microwave fan, want it all pretty much instantly", pot noodle would also suffice, you lot are the very antithesis of those references and are a totally and utter embarrassment to our club and it's genuine fans.

P. s. Big Al, keep slagging off our players lad because there playing brilliantly and making you look a fool who knows zero about football, I'm putting our fantastic start down to you.

02 Oct 2016 12:32:06
Well said Waro. Couldn't agree more

Red Sandman.

02 Oct 2016 12:51:29
waro get rest. it must be your time of month. slagging players? . first of all players is a plural. wijnaldum is one player who i don't rate who isn't playing brilliantly.
your comment again is invalid as its manipulated (players and slagging) in order for you to make any point towards me. Stop trying to get my attention with the nonsencial posts addressing me.
i have gave applaudits yesterday about the result and players whove been outstanding
Want a debate/ constuctive reply from me? stop making up bull and talk some sense. Cut it out.

02 Oct 2016 12:54:22
Come on lads give it a rest were all fans of the same great club at the end of the day we all have different opinions
No need to for such harsh words for people who disagree with your point
Good result at the end of the day 3 points, 2nd in the league what more can we ask for
Firmino is just different class.

02 Oct 2016 13:21:15
Keep it cool fellas, no point is there? we can all disagree, be all and end all. we're all liverpool fans. let's get on and enjoy the current success :)

01 Oct 2016 21:47:30
Not trying to count my chickens before they hatch but cannot wait to see Klopp and the players make an example of UTD. They just are not that good.

I want to see LFC seek and destroy.

Believable9 Unbelievable13

01 Oct 2016 22:34:26
I think we'll beat them, I think Stoke will get a result tomorrow as well. they're doing nothing, not playing as a team. I hope they put rooney on when playing against us because he's useless lol but to be honest in my opinion there's no stand out player in their team who is what i'd call dangerous, we have multiple dangerous players, but it's all about the day. Looking forward to it, these 16 dayys are going to drag.

02 Oct 2016 00:17:07
Man Utd will never beat us with pace.
They'll never beat us with skill either.
The only way they could possibly get a result at Anfield, is to throw high balls into our box. Either a corner, set piece or cross. That's what we need to stop. or get much stronger defending them.
Still believe we can easily outscore them though, because their own defence is not that good either.
YNWA.

02 Oct 2016 08:09:28
Mourinho has a decent record against us and will no doubt keep things very tight in a don't get beat kind of stance then try nick a goal and sit on it, so I'd tone down what your saying because they may not be in the best moment right now but they still have some great players who will no doubt at some point click. Be positive but don't totally dismiss them like we're playing Rochdale or someone.

02 Oct 2016 08:35:10
I'm with you on this one Waro, we need to be confident but they have some good players and Jose will try everything to stop us getting a result. I remember all the time wasting when he brought his Chelsea to Anfield a couple of seasons ago.

United have a lot of height and power in the air, an area where we are still extremely weak, we could have could have been 2-0 down at half time yesterday.

02 Oct 2016 08:47:34
I agree waro, although they are going through a bad spell now they will undoubtedly lift their game for us. And to say they have no dangerous players is immature, ibrahimovic will be a nightmare from set pieces, as will fellaini. Still hope we can pressure them enough that they crumble.

02 Oct 2016 10:01:17
Waro, get what you are saying about not dismissing UTD. Just cannot see them dealing with our attack. Yeah they could nick a goal and park the bus aka Mourinho but there just seems to be a belief in the LFC team that no matter who we face, we will win.

After the first half vs Swansea I sat back and said to myself, watch Liverpool come out, equalize and go onto win it. We have a manager now capable of of turning a losing position into a win.

I may be to over confident but enjoying the moment to the fullest and long may it continue.

Liverpool just done today what Man Utd have done for the last twenty years play garbage and Win, nice habit to have.

My only concern we couldn't defend an innocent man!

Believable13 Unbelievable14

01 Oct 2016 21:51:39
Do not see why you would want to call our play today garbage.

Swansea knew that if we equalized they would be on the back foot which is exactly what happened.

We were not dire in the first half. We just did not have our thinking caps on. If we were that dire in the first half, Swansea would have scored more than one.

01 Oct 2016 22:36:18
we wasnt bad, could've been better of course but not bad. we won, it was always going to be a difficult game. i'm happy for the 3 points.

01 Oct 2016 23:41:32
to be fair though max if Borja baston had his heading cap on we could have been 3 down by half time. good win by the boys today though its a long season were we can't always blow teams away. nice to see us grind a victory out of an awkward situation.

01 Oct 2016 21:00:29
with all the skills firmino has he should be looking at getting at least 15-20 goals this season, he truly is a joy to watch, I just love watching him play, I was smiling the day we signed him and I am still smiling, what a wonderful unselfish player this guy is, his partnership with countinho will be key to what we could achieve this season.

Believable19 Unbelievable11

01 Oct 2016 23:46:54
Firmino is getting better and better.

I like the way he plays with a smile on his face.

AND he hasn't bit anyone yet.

Suarez light.

02 Oct 2016 02:56:49
When we signed him I had no idea who he was.

Since he started for us he's continued to impress, himself, mane and coutinho are really working well together, not to mention lallana and hendo.

But back on point, Firmino is an exciting player. and the most exciting thing about him is, he's only going to improve. he's only is it 24? or around that.

I've said it before today and will continue saying it. I'm excited about how we're playing and I believe we're going to continue doing so. I havn't been this excited for quite some time.

At the beginning of the season I was a little worried in regards to the LB situation etc. I was worried about the amount of players we signed gelling, but that has been no problem, klopp knows what he's doing. results are proving it!

Onwards and uprwards!

01 Oct 2016 20:34:20
Ed001 surely you've grown to like Milner mate? Have to admit I wasn't overly thrilled when we signed him but he's a model professional, doing a great job at lb at the moment as well. Can't doubt his effort and commitment. He's an important member of the squad now and his experience of winning things with City will be vital to help these young lads challenge with a cool mature head to lead them along the way.

Believable12 Unbelievable12

{Ed001's Note - he has become a very useful member of the side at left back. He is a much better full back than he was a midfielder, credit has to go to Klopp for spotting that.}

01 Oct 2016 21:12:59
his penalty today was top class, I now expect him to not only take the penalties I expect him to score them as well, credit to klopp ed but also credit to milner for showing the right attitude in accepting his new role, I bet he has received a few bear hugs from klopp as well these past few weeks.

01 Oct 2016 21:23:46
Couldn't have said it better Kenny.

I have a lot more respect for Milner now. Whereas with Klopp, I always expected him to do well.

01 Oct 2016 23:50:06
Milner was my man of the match by a country mile.

Karius and crosses is a major worry
What with Zlatan up next.

02 Oct 2016 03:05:42
I must admit, I wasn't particulary chuft when Milner signed for us, I didn't expect him to bring anything. How wrong was I. None of us like been wrong but in this case I'm delighted I was. He's been a god send in regards to the LB position, he's surprised me and he's a damn good addition to the squad, I thought when it all came out that he'd be playing LB I thought he'd be mediocre at best. but I think half of that was we all wanted to sign a recognised LB lol. yet again, I was wrong. thankfully!

02 Oct 2016 09:28:46
No doubt credit goes to Big Jurgen every time we show doubt he always shows why we should've believed. But also well done to Milner for taking it well and putting the team first. Long may it continue. Do you think, barring injury of course, there's any chance of Moreno being reintroduced now that the lynch mob is at bay? He's still very young and has time on his side, whether he's willing to learn or not so far remains to be seen.

01 Oct 2016 20:22:58
Ed01-
Please could I have your opinion on the goalkeeping situation?
I thought karius looked very shaky today but I assume he will improve.
Who would you start next game?

Thanks.

Believable6 Unbelievable11

{Ed001's Note - it is far too early to judge Karius and he can at least kick the ball. Stick with the lad and assess in the summer.}

01 Oct 2016 20:37:07
People are judging karius v early. He's young he's just been given the chance to usurp liverpools number 1 for the last couple of years. This is massive for him and a lot of pressure on his shoulders I can imagine. Give him a break. Allready his distribution offers far more than migs one pass for clyne to storm onto down the wing in particular. Yeah he's not that commanding presence that we all want just yet but he's no worse than migs and is far superior in possession so give him some time guys.

01 Oct 2016 20:38:27
Stick with Karius he'll come good.

01 Oct 2016 20:49:36
just remember he has had 3 games, mignolet has had 3yrs and has not improved one bit, also if karius does not work out for us we have danny ward who is gaining valuable experience playing at Huddersfield for klopp's best mate, no matter how this all turns out, mignolet is not the answer.

02 Oct 2016 03:09:16
kingkenny7 I couldn't agree more.

Going back to Mignolet is sending us in the backwards direction, he's bad and isn't going to improve. Time has proved this.

Karius however will improve, still young, new to the club, its far too easy to point the finger. Give the lad a chance. he'll be our number one for along time I think.

02 Oct 2016 04:12:08
Ward is not the answer either. Karius looks a better prospect but our back 4 and keeper are still too exposed.

We lack a presence at DMF position to protect us defensively. Look at the difference Kante made at Leicester last season.

{Ed001's Note - Kante was not played as a defensive midfielder, one is not needed. I don't know why people have got this ludicrous notion in their head Kante is a defensive midfielder, even Conte has been dumb enough to believe it. He is not, was not and will not be a defensive midfielder. Using him that way has stifled him completely as his strengths require him to have freedom to get further forward and harry the opponents.}

02 Oct 2016 08:39:46
Give him time, though he did look rather hesistant at times yesterday.

03 Oct 2016 15:30:41
Spot on Ed with Kante. He and Drinkwater played in a midfield two that were interchangeable hence, he could be let loose and hunt for the ball everywhere in midfield. Conte indeed has made a huge blunder by playing him with a slow matic and that is ruining him. Imagine Kante in our midfield 3 with Hendo and Can/ Wiji/ Lallana/ Coutinho in a high press system. Now that would be awesome to see. May still happen, who knows?

01 Oct 2016 19:59:06
4 out of are next 5 games are at Anfield, what do we think, should be a few wins there, toughest game you have to think is Man U, keep Ibra quiet, I can't really see any problems there, WBA if we can play against their tactics should be a tight win, mmmm away to our bogie team Palace, I'd be happy with a draw there, can't see any problems when Watford come to Anfield personally.

Believable13 Unbelievable3

01 Oct 2016 20:27:45
lets just take it 1 game at a time sid, we now have the internationals coming up, so let's hope no one picks up a injury i'm more concerned with rashford when we play utd, every game is a tough game in this league, however our home form will be key to our top 4/ title aspirations, let's hope the 19 in your name refers to title number 19 come the end of the season.

03 Oct 2016 15:32:33
AsKK7 says, one game at a time and never look past your immediate opponent. That`s how you get the Swansea-type games.

01 Oct 2016 17:50:08
I'm sure there were plenty of you moaning, come on own up. As Delia would say " let's be havin you ", if you don't own up to being a cryin b####rd then I'm asking people to name and shame. If none of you moaned then I stand corrected and apologise.

Great result, as I post yesterday, I new it would be very very difficult and so it proved, I asked for a scruffy 1-0 but I'll take 2-1 all day.

Believable21 Unbelievable22

01 Oct 2016 18:12:16
I had a moan to myself at half time about playing at 60%, bet klopp had a moan too!

01 Oct 2016 18:24:04
Swansea play a brand of football perfectly suited to counter the way we play.

That's why I didn't make a prediction this week. Because In this game I saw a potential slip up, but I will never back Liverpool to lose.

This is the best result of the season so far in my opinion. We did not play particularly well, but we came back from a losing position away from home to take all 3 points. It is the games like these which win you titles. Any team can win when they are in form and everything is going right. It is when you hit a rocky patch and need to grind out results that separates the the winners from the also rans.

I wasn't moaning at half time because ever since that Dortmund game earlier this year in Europe, I always think we have a chance of coming back into any game, against any opposition.

16 points from the first 7 games would normally put you top of the table. Unfortunately though, City have had a relatively easy start with only really United and Swansea providing any kind of resistance. Hopefully they fight out a draw with Spurs so we stay 2nd but the gap to the top is closed to 3 points just before the international break.

01 Oct 2016 18:24:26
if you didn't moan at that shocking first half then something's wrong.

01 Oct 2016 19:01:16
I feared defeat and moaned about it first half!
I also moaned second half for poor defending and finishing we got away with three points Swansea missed clear clear chances!

{Ed025's Note - a win is a win mate..

01 Oct 2016 19:11:01
I moaned because in the first half we were Terrible. In the second very good but not brilliant.3 pts so let's move to the next one.

01 Oct 2016 19:12:22
No Matta you along with others on here are "moaners". You have to back the team to turn around the deficit!

Until 90 minutes have been played anything can happen. You lot seem to think the game ends at halftime with the tripe being posted on the live chat.

01 Oct 2016 19:22:18
Matt, no completely disagree, I didn't moan because apart from conceding a silly goal again I felt we were controlling the game and on the odd occasion we were getting behind them and there was some last ditch defending from them, I just wanted the ball moved quicker and I new we'd get chances it was just whether we would take them, but the point of my original post was not to moan if things didn't go our way but to wait and see how it panned out, this knee jerk reaction really angers me, we win and people like yourself revel in the result lose and you can't wait to get on here and slag them off, look up the definition of the word support and try it, you can moan as much as you like when this team and manager have had a reasonable out of time to get the results we want and if we don't then moan away.

01 Oct 2016 19:53:13
Too many doubters in the chat room today I had to leave at half time.
"Wijnaldum is ****". and offers nothing to the team.
"Karius is useless" (already)
"All the lads were on the lash last night and are still asleep"
"I believe . Swansea will win 3-0"
"No chance of getting a draw"

I was accused of being an embarrassment to LFC fans as I was too "arrogant".

Well the team won when they weren't playing well and that to me is a sign of champions.

{Ed025's Note - its the modern microwave supporters ron, instant success or nothing mate..

01 Oct 2016 19:54:35
i was obviously backing us to turn it around but I moaned to the lads about how poor we were. Like most. I don't get the point your trying to make?

Never moan at a shot display of football? Because every game I've ever been to and that's a lot most fans behave like me. So maybe you and puzzled are an exception.

I do actually read what you write waro but most on here can go wistle because they don't know their arse from their elbow.

01 Oct 2016 20:07:16
So 1-0 down at half time, playing not great and you never moaned. Never heard as much bull in my life. Only a blind person would not see we were crap in the first half. Just to add Waro your opinion is not the be all and end all thankfully.

01 Oct 2016 20:11:17
3-0 down at half time in Istanbul and I never sang YNWA so loudly in my life.
Not going to moan at 1-0 down at half time, ever.

01 Oct 2016 20:12:48
Seems different this season. Backed us to win at half time so got decent odds. Never would've had the faith to make that bet last season.

01 Oct 2016 20:22:19
Danray, your an embarrassment lad. Plastic fan, notice I didn't call you a supporter.

01 Oct 2016 20:26:32
Wow if that's true Ron (and I'm sure it is) then I hope you took a mental note of there names and pull them in the future when they try and blag that they were behind klopp and the team from day one because trust me they will.

01 Oct 2016 20:31:37
People need to get a grip, its football and an internet chat room / group, sometimes you have to take things with a pinch of salt . Stop catching feelings . People are so soft these days . You can't say boo To a goose without people crying like a little girl anymore. Criticising and pointing out the bad things in a game is part and parcel of it affraid . Can't be sweeping dirt under the carpet and papering over the cracks . Unless you name us .,

01 Oct 2016 20:35:53
No Waro mate, I didn't take note, it's not about naming and shaming for me.
Klopp wants believers, it's all he's asked from the fans from day 1. I say we give it our best shot because our manager and his team deserve at least that.
I felt really disappointed today with all the comments.

01 Oct 2016 20:52:02
1 down at half time against the swans, playing bad footy. didn't moan, not on a public forum, but I was wondering where my football team from the previous few weeks went. Normally I would moan about an international break, but this one seems to come at a good time for us, the lads looked drained in the first half and a break might do them good.

01 Oct 2016 20:57:37
Your a bigger man than me Ron, I'd be giving them hell but then again I'm an argumentative sod but I think you already new that mate didn't you haha.

01 Oct 2016 21:04:15
Ron. I really like you mate! But I love your optimism YNWA MATE.

01 Oct 2016 21:10:38
I don't think anyone could doubt the strength of your character Waro, don't worry about that mate. I'm not the bigger man but appreciate the sentiment. 😎

Glad for the international break, just hope we don't pick up any injuries. Can't wait to give it to the Mancs, we owe them after last season's smash and grab!
I think the Manc game could be the making of Karius and Wijnaldum 🏆.

01 Oct 2016 21:13:10
Think you said we would finish 8th this season Connectlogic? 😉.

01 Oct 2016 22:55:21
That was me who said 8th -13th and could still happen 😭.

02 Oct 2016 03:55:02
It's just toxic from both sides tbh.

02 Oct 2016 08:49:35
Over course of the season I'm sure there will be more games like yesterday, we won't be at our swashbuckling best all of the time, so I think some folk need to be prepared for that.

Yes we were poor first half, yes people are entitled to their opinions and have a moan, were we all not happy after grinding our the result!

Really goood win IMO.

01 Oct 2016 17:25:26
Match review ed?

Believable2 Unbelievable10

{Ed001's Note - a proper match of two halves. While we started off brightly in the opening seconds of the first half, we seemed to lose focus and struggled against Swansea's tactical set up. Guidolin had them set up right and we let in yet another silly goal. Swansea bossed the first half and we were well off the pace, even after Lallana went off injured and was replaced by Sturridge. It was a real struggle and we failed to create anything of note. It was one of those games that has you thinking 'here we go again', as we have seen only too often how we throw away points.

Happily, this season is different, Klopp has instilled some heart and desire. The second half was totally different and we looked like the side that has been winning all those plaudits this season. Everyone was more focused and the quick interchanges, that were so conspicious by their absence in the first half, were there throughout the second half. Gradually we took over the game and managed to pick up yet another win, to lift us up the table and put pressure on Citeh.

Overall, we just about deserved the win, as Swans faded badly in the second half and we took control. I have to say, I personally prefer the balance with Studger up top and Couts playing the deeper role. I think that we look more dangerous playing that way.

In this match, the MOM has to go to Klopp, as he lifted the team after a lacklustre first half and got them up for the second. Though Firmino ran him close, it was just some of the things he tried never quite came off. Watching him on the ball is a delight at times.}

01 Oct 2016 18:03:36
Hey Ed,

Would like to know your thoughts on Wijnaldum today. Personally thought he was quietly effective in the second half and beginning to make an impact in our overall play.

Matt.

{Ed001's Note - first half he was totally out of the game (like most of our side), the second half he picked up a lot and was involved in everything that happened. He was breaking up their play a fair bit as well.}

01 Oct 2016 18:07:05
Have to agree with the coutinho bit, been saying our midfield should coutinho Hendo can (now lallana is out) then firmino mane and a striker be it origi or Sturridge.

01 Oct 2016 18:09:33
Are you saying sturridge looked good at any point today? Or have I misunderstood ed? He was rubbish.

{Ed001's Note - ah so you have decided to pick on him for abuse today then? Only he was far from rubbish. Not his best game, but he kept their defence occupied, linked up well and gave us an outlet.}

01 Oct 2016 18:09:50
Spot on, Ed. Swansea set up in a way to first of all press in certain areas in the first half which made us severely uncomfortable and very predictable. The showed immensely when our passing precision was poor hence, getting caught offside for literally no reason. Is this the way teams will set up vs us on the road going forward? We shall see. We also made poor decisions in both the first and part of the second half in the final third which almost cost us the game as we were rushing the final pass during a period where we had the Swans in a choke hold. Luckily, Klopp's coaching and the steel he's given the team made sure that we finished strong and won the game even tho we got lucky with their final chance. I agree that Couts was brilliant in deep midfield and should be playing there more regularly.

01 Oct 2016 19:26:55
can we ban mattaldinho, constant negative whining. embarrassing on the live chat too.

{Ed025's Note - thats not your decision mk, but your concerns are duly noted..

01 Oct 2016 19:16:49
Ed I have to say I wasn't impressed with studge today, not placing blame on him or singling him out purposely, but while he may have kept there defence busy he didn't actually cause any danger to them and was holding onto the ball far too long. poor game from his standards inmy opinion, anyone could have kept there defence busy but u have to pose a threat also and I don't think he did. cheers.

{Ed001's Note - his job is to link play, he did that and got back in to cover when Clyne got caught upfield at one point. Studge gets unfair criticism because people expect so much of him, in my opinion.}

01 Oct 2016 21:00:36
I do tend to agree ed1.

01 Oct 2016 21:01:17
mk ban? i can't recall him being abusive? so you don't like/ agree with his opinion you want him banned? interesting.

01 Oct 2016 21:21:04
Didn't realise it was a dictatorship . People have voices and opinions get over it .

01 Oct 2016 21:46:00
connect, a word i was going to use . the only fans i see on the pages moaning are those moaning about people whining because they have differing opinions.

01 Oct 2016 21:56:30
sturridge had the chances old sturidge would have scored. I think he's just got to get used to klopps style of play. he's not used to putting in all that energy and finds himself miskicking alot. I can imagine his confidence has gotten a bit low too. he's still a good a player and reads the game well but I don't know if sturridge will fully adapt. I think if he doesn't click this season, he's best going to a team that will play to his strengths like benteke. sturridge is probably best coming on at 60 mins right now untill he can manage more minutes.

02 Oct 2016 00:02:17
I think there is a lot more to come from Sturridge
But I get the impression that in the past he had to be loved and made a fuss over.
Thats obviously not the Klopp way.
So it up to him like all the team to make himself un drppable by performing on the pitch.
Look at Firmino for an example. Class.

02 Oct 2016 01:59:03
I was impressed by Clyne today. jus saying.

02 Oct 2016 15:01:11
If Sturridge isn't scoring goals then the poor lad gets abused. All he needs to do is crack a little frown and all of the 'fans' are onto him with the abuse and speculation about his future at liverpool.

01 Oct 2016 17:26:41
Great win today. Grinded out a result which we would have given up on in the past.

Klopp is doing a fantastic job at getting his squad to believe.

Firmino our best player hands down. The guy is everywhere and is showing nothing but class. Superb finish with the head today.

Four straight wins, come on Liverpool!

Hey Ed001, if you're not too busy any chance for a review of todays game?

01 Oct 2016 16:52:33
Saw James Milner was interviewed after the game, but couldn't hear it. Did they mention what his run of games is at now for Scoring and winning? I know he was a few behind Vassell the last time i heard, but that was before Hull and Today. Anybody any idea?

Believable2 Unbelievable9

01 Oct 2016 16:59:04
I think it's 3 games in a row.

01 Oct 2016 18:08:30
I'm sure motd said he's only one or two behind.

01 Oct 2016 18:11:49
Sorry Gotklopp, didn't mean consecutive games. I'm fairly sure Darius Vassell holds the record for like 60-odd games in a row where he scored and his team won that particular game. Unless I missed one fairly recently where Milner scored and we lost, Milner will now only be a couple of games behind.

Anyone confirm?

01 Oct 2016 18:31:10
Cheers Fencey, much appreciated. Tried to find it on google, but "James Milner score win" isn't the most elegant of google searches!

01 Oct 2016 21:00:01
It's 44 games where Milner scores and his team wins.

01 Oct 2016 15:31:24
Thought it was a good win today. Away from home with and after the first half was settling for a draw, could hardly watch the pen. What is good to see is winning a game when we didn't look as good, improved in the 2nd half but I thought Swansea were well organised. Karius needs time to settle, and wasn't helped with some of the defending. I think we need to improve regarding defending set pieces. But we are not going to play well every game of the season. Well done reds puts us up in 2nd place. Let's see how the others fair over the weekends football.

Believable11 Unbelievable8

01 Oct 2016 18:13:14
Some if the defending especially on the goal and the final Swansea chance, was rank wretched. We still need to b able to keep clean sheets or top four or even the title if possible, will elude us again. City and Tottenham and Utd are now under pressure to win hence, great result for us on this front, regardless of the score.

01 Oct 2016 21:55:13
I agree. There are no easy games in the premier league and today proved it once again! We did enough to get the win and that's all that matters.

01 Oct 2016 15:29:09
Lallana was missed, the midfield was not as fluid as we know they can be.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

01 Oct 2016 16:33:45
They looked pony when he was still on the field too. Whole team was off 1st half. Lallana included. Luckily 2nd half we remembered we are Liverpool fc, and we can play!

01 Oct 2016 18:17:41
Xpertoyin, no he was not. It wasn't even close. Coutinho stepped in in the second half and we didn't miss a beat. In fact, it was a blessing in disguise that he came off because it allowed Klopp to change the system by placing Couts in a deeper role and bringing on Studge, a master stroke by the German. Coutinho and Hendo bossed the midfield in the second half and IMO, should be playing there ahead of him now because he's better than Lallana offensively and defensively. What game were you watching?

01 Oct 2016 19:04:08
@HR, the game were the whole team were off their rhythm, but Sturridge was not pressing as Lallana would have.

01 Oct 2016 15:27:32

01 Oct 2016 14:49:39
Ive probably not uttered these words before but Clyne was superb today.
Coutinho and Firmino were great once they woke up and Lovren improved after a wobbly first half.
But Karius? He has had a few games now but yet to prove to me he's a better keeper than Migs.
Final note: all you negative nancies on the Match Feed at half time need to tidy up your toys and put them back in your pram. It was a bit pathetic how many people had thrown in the towel after the first half. We were always going to roast them once they had blown their initial wad. Have a little belief.

Believable11 Unbelievable16

01 Oct 2016 14:55:49
Fitness and sheer determination prevailed today which is what's needed against teams like Swansea who can be a bannana akin for any top team.

01 Oct 2016 14:59:46
Annie, you thought Hendo was good first half.

The End.

01 Oct 2016 15:05:35
karius does need to improve Annie but the lad has had 3 games and already we are writing him off, we need to be patient with him and give him time to settle in.

01 Oct 2016 15:06:55
Clone had a good game today, I agree. To be fair on Karius, he is still early in his career with us, but he did not inspire confidence today. Mind you, the team did not help him with some of the balls that went uncontested in the box.

01 Oct 2016 15:18:04
Agree with Annie regarding match feed I lasted 15 seconds whinging fookers as Ed2 has said on many many occasions there's a lot of fickle fans on here.

01 Oct 2016 15:35:11
Noones writing Karius off. I just said I've yet to see him improve on Migs. Hendo was one of the only performers first half.

01 Oct 2016 16:28:04
Some people are Annie. Mattaldinho for one and many more in that depressing live game chat.

01 Oct 2016 16:36:49
De gea was dodgy as hell when he first arrived in the prem give the lad time man come on.

01 Oct 2016 17:10:15
Criticises 'negative nancies' and then slags off our new goalie 3 games into his career with us, on a day the whole team was having a bad day. Sound.

01 Oct 2016 18:21:05
Annie slates Karius yet slates others for slating the team at half time. Oh the irony. I am ready to give Karius time to improve and get better as he wasn't that bad and the defence did not help him at all today. I will say his passing and overall distribution was very good today. He will improve but he needs help from his defenders.

01 Oct 2016 23:43:44
Wow, you must be a tender soul if you think i gave Karius a slating, HamRed. I said I've not seen him improve on Migs yet. If you were on the live feed at half time you would understand what i was talking about rather than commenting from a position of ignorance.

01 Oct 2016 15:29:21
We can't rely on pens for 3 points.
Created enough today without converting which is convening for me. another day etc
Not moaning but!

01 Oct 2016 15:31:21
we don't do clean sheets, I expected a tight game, 1st half we could have been dead and buried, then having got the lead we give them a goalden chance right at the end to grab a point, happy with the 3pts but we have to tighten up at the back, also looks like Swansea will have a new manager next time they play.

01 Oct 2016 18:22:35
Spot on, KK. We need clean sheets badly because some of the defending to day was dreadful.

01 Oct 2016 14:29:45
Hey All,

Anyone else more nervous for that 90 mins that any other this season!?

Just read we have scored twice as many pens (4) this season than last. Milner is becoming more and more pivotal as the season progresses.

I know there are a few Statto's here, so just wondering how many penalties did we have and who were the takers?

Onwards and upwards lads!

Matt.

similar to the 13/ 14 season, we are getting more penalties because we are in the box a lot more i feel.

Looking really forward to this game, I like early kick off's - It won't be easy, they need to prove a point and are due a win. but with our quality I can't see them getting anywhere. Fingers crossed anyway.

Mane x 2
Firmino
Hendo.

Expect a very tight game today. I think we have to be careful not to be over confident and just keep doing the basics right. Tempo needs to be up and passing accurate from the start.

Believable8 Unbelievable9

01 Oct 2016 09:14:15
As long as the players aren´t over confident, then I think we should be okay. At the moment we are running over teams, and Swansea is strugling badly, and their manager is about to get sacked.

01 Oct 2016 11:46:32
when have the players been guilty of over confidence?

01 Oct 2016 01:06:25
I just want to put my two pence in, I've been coming to this site for nine years now, I have no one in the know, I never post anything that seems otherwise.

I remember posting about seven years ago because I played for the same team as Craig Bellamy and there was someone else we played alongside, wanted to know what had happened to him and Ed 01said he'd heard of him and would find our.

I posted when Gary Speed unfortunately left us and due to going through a bad divorce at the time maybe said a bit too much of how I was feeling at the time, Ed02 obviously had to edit my post but responded and helped me where I was at that time.

Guess what I'm saying is when sometimes some of us feel we have nothing else left, we still come on here, we still read everything and, if we feel we can, we may post.

No disrespect to any other eds, but ed01 and especially Ed02 for that night I was really low, I thank you both from the bottom of my heart. It's a thankless job you do at times but please know, you make a massive difference to some people.

This isn't me kissing butt or anything like that, I've been in dark places and not only the eds bot the posters on here have helped me out or taken my mind off things. Ed02, you may not realise but you helped more than you can imagine know that one night.

There's a lot here that don't appreciate the every day things the eds do but I'm betting I wasn't the only one that got that far and the eds or the posters helped in one way or the other.

I don't post much but seeing some of the abuse towards the eds recently I felt compelled to do so. There's people on here who have different views to me but we're all one big family and will disagree as families do, just drop the crap about the eds, they do hell of a job because they choose to. Thanks eds and posters, helped me through a lot, will never forget and I know will never walk alone.

Believable16 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - These are wonderful and kind words WelshScouse. I truly thank you on behalf of the Eds and it is heart warming to see we may have helped in someway. I hope is life is settled for you now. I can be a tiny bit harsh on some folks, you have probably not noticed that, and I had had arrived in England from Los Angeles mid-morning and certainly could have done without any abuse. I will make sure that the Liverpool masses don't suffer at the hands of a few. I do have a little something lined up but looking at my diary this morning October looks even uglier than I realised (as do the first two weeks of November), so it might take a while.}

01 Oct 2016 06:56:22
Welsh, it's good to hear you're in a better place and you're absolutely right with all the points you make.
There's far too much vitriol on this site sometimes and I'm sure a few imbeciles will even click the "disagree" button but although I post much less frequently than I used to I still visit regularly and when I read posts like yours I'm glad I do. YNWA.

{Ed002's Note - Good to see you still hiding in the bushes Chris.}

01 Oct 2016 07:35:44
Welshscouse great post man we all need someone to chat to and help us make sense of things from time to time, keep the posts coming man no matter how many disagrees we all have something to say.

01 Oct 2016 08:11:57
Absolute fantastic post mate. Thanks for sharing that with us.

01 Oct 2016 08:16:47
This is how amazing this site is. I think the Eds do a great job and the support I've seen given is unbelievable genuine fans are more than welcome to post because they are hugely passionate for Liverpool football club but these trogs who come on to make peoples lives worse go somewhere else. Every genuine fan and Eds keep up the good work keep looking after each other. COYR YNWA.

01 Oct 2016 08:48:32
Great post WelshScouse and I hope things have got a lot better for you since. This site is easily the most reliable source of football information on Liverpool and others, but also I've seen eds and posters help out with all kinds of life situations if someone needs help. I don't post often but I'm glad your post has highlighted what a great site this is in so many ways. Glad you are back in Blighty Ed and hope you can ignore the trolls.

01 Oct 2016 08:50:14
It's my favourite place to be Ed.

01 Oct 2016 09:15:33
I think a lot of us will echo the post from Welshscouse. The eds take their time for free and give us so much. Anyone who abuses them so go on the Man U site, the Arsenal site, the Southampton site to name a few. They are not the same without the eds.

Welsh, I'm glad the eds were able to help and hope things have picked up for you. At least you have the mighty reds to watch today 😌

Regards

Crooky.

01 Oct 2016 09:41:50
Cracking post WelshScouse, not the easiest thing to express but you did a good job. Hope the waves on life's ocean are less choppy for you atm.

{Ed001's Note - it was a lovely post, one of those that makes it worthwhile doing this.}

01 Oct 2016 09:54:26
Ed02 anything you choose to share or not to is completely up to you. I understand sometimes the few can get under your skin more than the many because you might have 1000 people read your responses and have 3 of those respond positively and 3 negatively so you wonder why you bother, the other 994 are reading and appreciating but may not say it, whether it be due to lack of time or just can't be arsed with the abuse the response may get but please, all eds please believe, for every troll that posts, there's a hundred avid readers and followers that appreciate everything you do, even if we don't tell you.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and wishes, really means a lot. Hopefully a good win today but either way, we'll still be on here after the match, agreeing, disagreeing, whatever, we may be a dysfunctional family at times but it's our Liverpool rumours family and always will be.

YEAH JFT96.

01 Oct 2016 10:10:14
I to posted on here in June when I lost my mother in law to Lung Cancer and the amount of support my family got from the Ed's and fellow posters took us out of a very dark place. In fact my wife still reads them from time to time.
So in short Ed's we need you.

01 Oct 2016 10:16:31
I hope to see more posts from you WelshScouse - it was good to come on here this morning and see such posts. This is how it should be, having some appreciation instead of giving them hassle. but as the saying goes, there's always one! or in this case the odd few, odd been the keyword here. I said it about and I'll say it again, how anybody can give the eds hassle is beyond me, they deserve medals the size of frying pans.

Welsh, ed1 and ed2. thank you!

01 Oct 2016 10:08:23
And just a shout out to ed01, I know the initial post was targeted a lot to Ed02, I ended up getting back with her for the kids sake and went through it all again, the responses you send, the time you take out to be specific and genuine honest answers, and the pod casts, gives people a break from reality, an escape if you will, and a lot of people need that massively so thank you for everything you do, you're all appreciated more than you know.

{Ed001's Note - you are very welcome mate, I really hope things are going better for you now.}

01 Oct 2016 10:38:33
Hope your in a better place now welshscouse! Good luck mate YNWA.

01 Oct 2016 10:57:32
In a much better place now thank you everyone, divorce finalised and moving forward with life, they say life's too short and after 16 years of that, they're right. I remember posting when you were going through that Barry and reading the amazing posts of support you got. Glad you and your missus took a lot from it.

My initial post wasn't for me but for the eds, I really appreciate all the kind words from everyone, don't get me wrong, but just got to the point after everything they do for us when they don't have to, had enough at the snide, arrogant, nasty digs at the eds, they don't deserve it and although I don't post often, just wanted them to know that they are very much appreciated and part of the family.

01 Oct 2016 12:03:51
Thank you so much WelshScouse we got through it mate. From everyone in my family we wish you every success now and in the future.
