hey edo1 was looking through your chat sites and was wondering would you consider doing one for fantasy nfl maybe not the most popular thing in uk but i know a lot of people who participate.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed033's Note - if you (and others) can go on our NFL rumors we can discuss this Fantasy NFL chat.

01 Nov 2017 23:50:29
nfl, really? no offense but its boring.

02 Nov 2017 08:03:30
It's not boring- it's just a different sport and an education in time management.

02 Nov 2017 09:27:22
Its really boring, and the officiating is horrendous! I'd rather watch baseball.

02 Nov 2017 09:29:13
And the worst thing about it is the name. How on earth can you call a game where the ball is their hands for 95% of the time FOOTBALL? Just hilarious, but not in a good way!

02 Nov 2017 09:36:46
All team sports have their individual attractions, the NFL is all about highly coordinated flashes of intensity. If you can appreciate that then you'll like the sport, if not you'll find it dull.

02 Nov 2017 15:24:43
I've enjoyed watching edited NFL matches, just the game itself. Can't spend watching 4 hours of a sport for 1 hour of actual play, which will involve maybe a third of that time actually doing things.

05 Nov 2017 10:07:48
Putney is correct here lads. Though first off, they mainly use their hands, and play with an egg. No feet. No balls. Not football.

Personally, i hate watching American HandEgg. However, I do like seeing the highlights because it cuts out the hours of adverts and analysis crammed into 15 minutes of actual play. Those 15 minutes are actually spectacular displays of skill, athleticism and tactics though. There are players in the NFL who could bench press Sam Allardyce, stand up, and then beat Salah in a 100m sprint. It's scary to watch at times.

Everybody has a sport they love though, and HandEgg is no different. I like Tennis, F1 and Golf. Most people would say they're boring too though!

01 Nov 2017 19:31:47
What's that little ditty we sing before a match. Something about jogging together or something? ;)
I think the vile fans need to go listen to the lyrics and stop with the threats. Idiots.

Loving the fact that since the link for the vote been put up lovren has shot up and will possibly over take salah when people realise what's going on.

If I was dejan and this happened I would see it as a lovely gesture of support for whatever going through right now.

Yes he's had some howlers, but let's get behind the team and the members of the team, hopefully can come back stronger.

You'll never walk alone.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

01 Nov 2017 21:00:41
I may be wrong but I think if you reset your router and clear internet history you'll be able to vote again. I will give it a try after the game. Lovren deserves our support, I'd love for him to win it just for him to see he's appreciated as a HUMAN. The stuff he's been put through is a form of bullying and it's not acceptable regardless of what goes on, on the pitch.

01 Nov 2017 21:03:37
Nevermind, voting closed.

01 Nov 2017 21:45:21
its a nice gesture Corleone but I don't think we need to cheat to show Dejan how much support he has from the fans. I voted and obviously lots of other people remember the good things Lovren has done for Liverpool. looking at Matip tonight, how can anyone suggest he is the better player than Lovren. Matip looks slow and lazy. Sorry but he is a liability. it was his side of defence that was exposed tonight more than onve but Klavan who was quick enough to get there. Thought the Estonian had a pretty good game again tonight.

Well done Liverpool, great little win against the parked bus that we found impossible to penetrate last season. Milner, Moreno and AOC were the best three imo with maybe Ox as my man of the match because Milner did miss a penalty. Who was man of the match?

01 Nov 2017 22:09:40
I'm doing my nut trying to find out who the man of the match was tonight? can anyone tell me please? eds any idea? do they even do man of the match in European games?

Please help, i've been searching through pages of stats to no result.

I would have given it to AOC or Moreno with Can and Milner in for a shout too.

01 Nov 2017 22:18:49
In fairness Ox for me mate.

01 Nov 2017 22:23:42
Im not sure either SR - Moreno had a good game, personally I'd give it to him, but the others you mentioned have to be close as well.

01 Nov 2017 22:24:47
Lovren and Salah tied for October player of the month each with 33% of the vote. 😎.

01 Nov 2017 22:28:05
lovren gets little cover from Moreno but we forgive Moreno as Klopp insists he get forward and, I don't care what his detractors think, he has been brilliant. not just decent, or good for Moreno, he has been a top notch supply of quality into the box. in the air or along the deck. short passing movement or passes from range, i'm glad he plays for us atm that is for sure. He does show a desire when tracking back and he has a seemingly unlimited energy.

But lovren also gets next to no cover from Matip. I was one of those people who thought Matip was a good defender when he joined. he looks ok when he has time and he shows flashes of class with good tackles or interceptions but he is sooo slow, lazy and laxsidasical. He has a minimal awareness of what is around him. you never see him covering his far post although tonight even, against Maribor, Klavan was forced to defend his far post (or matips near post) where the f**k is matip?

jogging back from the halfway line. I think its time we stopped whacking Lovren with Matip's stick. Watch carefully to see who is also at fault for many Liverpool goals. it is nearly always in some part due to Matip's lack of dynamics. I don't like to knock players, especially after a win but he is going to cost us points, you mark my words. He severely needs replacing in January.

I'd take Mee, Keane, Maguire, vvd, Gibson and loads more just in our league over Joel Matip. don't be fooled by his flash passing or comfort on the ball he can't defend. not well enough for a champions league team. Or a team with title winning aspirations. that goal against spurs, the first one. if lovren had a decent partner they would have snuffed that move out before it could develop. Sorry to moan but he really worries me,

Well done Liverpool, good win boys.

01 Nov 2017 22:51:32
Apparently Emre Can got it mate.

01 Nov 2017 23:14:58
Superred, Matip was poor today and had it not been for Klavan, we may have conceded today. He is inferior to Lovren, hands down and he is not even showing any signs of improvement. Truly disappointing. I would give the MOTM to Moreno. He was brilliant in all phases. Did anyone see his close control on a diagonal that went over his shoulder? that was class. He is not the finished article yet BUT he is improving.

02 Nov 2017 03:46:58
I would have given it to Firmino, its something about him that makes the guys around him step up. He smooth and hardworking at the same time, and he shows moments of brilliance every now and then.

02 Nov 2017 06:58:33
Superred pretty fair comments there, often the wrong player gets kicked by fans. One that stood out for me was Klavan getting ripped into v Burnley cos man came in behind him. That man the Clyne's man, but Clyne was about 30m away slowly ambling back and ball watching. Yes the CBs are not of the standard of the greats of the past. They are not the standard of top sides but there is a lot going on around the pitch and with other players that is impacting on goals conceded. The team as a whole needs to work better.

02 Nov 2017 08:05:02
Firmino for me. Particularly in the first half.

02 Nov 2017 08:07:56
Another assist for Moreno as well, setting up Sturridge late on. That is 3 goals he's directly set up from a cross and we are only in November. If his name was Mendy people would be losing their heads over his performances. Aside from Alonso, and Kolasinac i can't see a better left wing back in the Premier League on current form. If Moreno starts adding goals to his game, I'd say he could be as good as Alonso and Kolasinac.

Another great cross from Arnold last night as well. His crossing is lethal. Worth while mentioning Can and Milner who combined to score the best goal in the Champions League this week. That was stellar football. And hats off to Sturridge for scoring again. Finished according to some, but doesn't look like anyone has told Sturridge that. May never be as good as he was, but he still scores goals.

02 Nov 2017 08:30:29
Sorry Mk, how can you say Moreno is one of the best left wing backs in the league when his 3 assists are all in the CL? Hmmm. Not 1 assist in 9 league games say other wise.

02 Nov 2017 08:38:42
Maybe Sturridge is good enough to develop his game and get into positions instead of relying on his acceleration. He'll never lose the ability to put the ball in the net, just needs to get sharper from mins on pitch. Delighted for his last two goals and delighted for the change in Moreno. If he keeps going like this we could have a left back after all.

02 Nov 2017 08:44:03
I don't see why it matters where the assists come? He plays in the Premier League to just as good a standard but the forwards just haven't put them away. Salah, Firmino and Chamberlain have all missed absolute sitters in the league from Moreno deliveries.

He is playing really well in all competitions mate. Just because his team mates have only finished their chances consistently in the Champions league this season, doesn't take it away from Moreno that he is playing brilliant in the final third.

It has become unfashionable to praise him, and his history in our side has made people wary of supporting him. Isolate his Anfield career to just this season though and he's playing brilliantly. I'd have him alongside Salah as our player of the season so far.

02 Nov 2017 10:17:43
Sorry, Superred BUT I would not want Keane, Gibson nor the slug Maguire. They are no improvement on Matip even tho, Matip is playing poorly and is as lazy as a sluggard. Keane and Maguire are severely poor and overated cos they are English, period. I would take Mee tho cos many think he can step up even tho, I don't know if he can step up to play in a big club and in a less defensive system like the one we play.

02 Nov 2017 10:19:59
Agreed, MK on Moreno. He has been growing from strength to strength and Klopp may have found a system where he can get forward BUT not get caught out with Hendo/ Can/ Milner filling in for him when he gets forward and Gomez hanging back to make a back 3 when we attack. He has 3 assists so far and is getting better defensively. Long may it continue.

02 Nov 2017 17:51:54
I'm not saying I want us to sign keane or Maguire. I don't. but I would swap them for matip. Matips worst aspects are his movement, his speed and awareness, these are things that the camara doesn't really show. therefore matip gets away with it. He is woeful. when he is making klavan look top notch you know you have to worry.

So Can got man of the match? thanks guys. I thought he might have as it was a lush goal. and he showed a lot of energy. I thought Moreno and aoc are unlucky not to get it.

01 Nov 2017 17:41:12
Would love to see woodburn be giving a start with ox also starting. Good match especially at anfield to bring them in. Would also like to see Gomez centre back tonight and TAA right back. Looking forward to tonights game. Hopefully another big win coming lads. Ynwa.

Believable6 Unbelievable1

01 Nov 2017 18:06:53
Woodburn was on u19 duty today so that won't be happening.

01 Nov 2017 18:27:53
Yarmouth. Only in from work and seen it. Shame would of loved to see him play 2nite.

01 Nov 2017 18:35:27
I think tonights match would have been perfect for Woodburn to get a game. I would not be one for wholesale changes but Klopp could certainly play 1 of the squad players, maybe Grujic? I hope so, then if we happen to go up 3 or 4 maybe some time to a few others.

01 Nov 2017 19:31:56
same goes for Harry Wilson could of had a place on the bench he knocks the goals in left right and centre for the u23s.

01 Nov 2017 20:28:13
Can someone tell me why Klopp is playing Can, Henderson and Milner in midfield tonight. Why congest the midfield when the opposition is expecting to sit deep.

01 Nov 2017 20:42:12
I agree with you about the midfield my question is why aren't we playing with an out an out striker against these our midfield just don't score.

01 Nov 2017 22:58:14
Although I’d love to see them given the chance we needed the win to progress from the group. I’d much rather see them given the chance in the cups and in the prem against the lesser teams like Everton for example.

02 Nov 2017 03:09:26
because wijnaldum got injured. he usually plays a little more advanced but when Jordan came on it was Can who was getting forward, infact it changed between milner and Can and that didn't work out too badly did it? . The truth is we were drawing this game and after the half time team talk we came out and scored 3 in the ucl. Klopp did well. Not only did Can score in a more advanced role but Danny S came on and scored. excellent from the manager.

01 Nov 2017 17:08:14
Got a bit of a topic for discussion guys:
Lately Im seeing posts saying we miss Adam Lallana and tbh Im unsure about this because in a perfect world if all squad is fit I only see him as an impact sub, my reasoning being he is an attacking midfielder so our current attacking f our would be, Mane (left), Salah (right), Firminio (through middle), Coutinho (centre) like a diamond formation of a front 4, I can't see him replacing what should be the 2 more disciplined midfielders. So what you guys think is he a starter or is he an impact sub.

Believable1 Unbelievable8

01 Nov 2017 18:01:35
I'd like us to go back to the midfield of henderson lallana and Wijnaldum . That got us top of the league last autumn.

01 Nov 2017 18:21:16
so then hugh which one of salah, mane coutinho and firminio you drop for that to happen.

{Ed001's Note - has to be Coutinho, he has been, quite frankly, terrible since he came back this season.}

01 Nov 2017 18:37:39
Rotation for different games, but if everyone was fit and available, and it was a big game, then salah would be a great supersub.

01 Nov 2017 18:54:27
Salah sub? Hilarious! he would be leaving in 2 minutes if that was to happen! He has been our best player this season, followed by Firmino, Mane has been injured and when he came back from injury last time he was a shadow of the mane we know, Coutinho has been terrible and has already left the club mentally.

01 Nov 2017 19:10:48
The issue is getting them all fit and getting them on the pitch. The more players to pick from the better. I wouldn't say we are missing Lallana too much but he did do quite well last season. No doubt when we get Lallana back someone else will get injured.

01 Nov 2017 23:13:26
Lallana takes Wiji's place, not one of the forwards.

01 Nov 2017 23:21:43
Hugh, I stopped reading when you said our current main source for goals would be a good super sub. Give your head a wobble lad cos you need to do some more critical thinking. Lallana is a huge miss for us as he gives us more creativity in midfield and is the trigger for the press. Our mid's are too similar and that is where Lallana offers something different that the pothers can't.

Cou has not been good since he came back even tho he has score 4 goals in all comps. this season. He is clearly not at the level he was last season before his injury where he was simply tearing it up. He has to do better or Lallana should take his spot in CM next to Hendo/ Can and Wiji.

Liverpool FC - A Defensive Review, Part 3

01 Nov 2017 14:45:08
{Ed's Note - we have posted a new article entitled, Liverpool FC - A Defensive Review, Part 3

Believable3 Unbelievable2

01 Nov 2017 15:24:51
Very good MK. quite harsh on Clyne. I don't mind him. ok he never lights up the stadium, or very rarely but he is quite solid. I think Liverpool have missed him this season. I'm thinking of the players who featured in last seasons fairly good season who are missing this time. They are Clyne and Lallana. its probably Lallana that we miss the most but it is our defence that has been repeatedly questioned. He does make mistakes but what defenders don't? 2/ 3? his end product wasn't great last season, he would do really well by getting into the final third, beating a man or playing nice one twos, but the cross would be awful. his passing along the ground in the final third is pretty good, and like Jordan henderson, he can be relied upon to receive the ball and move it on as Liverpool look to create a goal. I think you're right that he is not good enough to be our no1 RB, he would be fine at a mid table team (when we think of mid table we think of stoke, dunno why but we all do. its like stoke have made mid table their own) Stoke or Burnley, Everton even. or leicster.

Loved the bit about Moreno. I'm not his only fan. He is good eh, when he gets the ball in the final third you feel like something could happen. his passing is excellent (well he is Spanish) his movement is superb and his finishing is top draw, oh wait, he is a fb isn't he, or quite rightly mentioned by MK, he is more of a wb. One thing it didn't mention is that Alberto is a bit of a hard nut. he's a tough little cookie, trust. When our forwards get deliberately fowled you will see Moreno giving the offending player a crunching tackle five minutes later or sometimes a blatant foul. its like he is saying, "leave off our kid"

Very good read though MK, you and ED01 have a talent for writing. it's not just getting the information across its how you get it across. I read your stuff guys and it is enjoyable to read. it flows nicely and you feel like the writer has made an effort to entertain you. Nice one, thanks.

Shame about Flanagan, i think he would be our right back now if he had not got injured. perhaps that is why we are having trouble in that position as Flanagan was always meant to be the main rb.

TAA is such an exciting prospect. he has that thing that class youngsters have where he doesn't look out of his depth. Similar to Rashford over at utd. these guys look at home playing with the first team. You just know he is going to be brilliant. very excited to see him in a more advanced role. Shame about the milk cup as he may have been given a midfield role against Bumscratch Athletic.

I thought you might do a little sub-section about Can and Milner who have both covered at Rb/ Lb this season. Understandable that you didn't as they haven't played there much.

01 Nov 2017 16:20:07
Thank you so much MK for writing these articles on a request. Superb stuff mate.

01 Nov 2017 16:27:23
Cheers Super red. I actually had to delete some bits on Clyne that we're too harsh 😂 i really don't rate him mate. Respect that you do though.

I did consider including Milner here and Can in the centre back article, but opted not to in the end. They are only really used there as emergencies or when a game plan goes to pot.

Thanks for the feedback though mate.

You're very welcome KK7. I've enjoyed writing them. Thank you for asking me to do them, and thanks to everyone for reading.

01 Nov 2017 17:39:23
Really enjoyed your articles mk, hit pretty much every nail on the head, though I think you were too kind to Clyne, the amount of times he slowed down our attacks by never having the balls to take the opposition fb on and playing it backwards and inside had me screaming at the TV, hell Milner playing on his wrong foot must have put 5/ 10 times the amount of by line crosses in last season.

01 Nov 2017 18:59:34
Thanks for the read MK really impressed with your knowledge mate.

01 Nov 2017 19:27:00
Idontlooklikeklopp, agree it was too kind on Clyne mate. No joke, i deleted pretty much a whole paragraph because i re-read it and had concerns he might take me to court 😂 🤐 I tried so hard to be as nice as possible! Thanks though mate.

Thank you Longthing76, i feel like i have my own groupy 😂 top lad!

01 Nov 2017 23:15:44
I will bet good money that Clyne will be first choice again when fit. I don't get how this site has such as problem with him.

01 Nov 2017 22:40:55
Eds01 has alluded to something behind the scenes regarding Clynes injury so hope he's ok, but TAA and Gomez have to be ahead of him now in the pecking order.

01 Nov 2017 14:22:03
Bored at work so thought I would just throw out a few thoughts.

1) Dejan Lovren needs to be the player of the month. To me Dejans biggest problem is not skill but mindset, in his first season he was trying to hard to impress that he overcommitted trying to get to the ball. Then when klopp first came in he looked liked he began to relax a bit and started to play well. Then unfortunately he has had some off field issues that I think mentally and psychologically hurt him on the field as I don't think he could fully concentrate on fotty. And then finally we have so called "fans" going way to far on social media. I think if we can show him as a fan base that he is not alone and that the Liverpool family not only supports him but has his back we will start seeing him improve on the field.

2) sorry Lovren, but can we please just start Joe Gomez at center half. He finally looks like he is getting back to 100% fitness after his injury and looks to have the one thing we seem to lack. composure.

3) I have noticed this a lot this season but can someone explain to me why we are so static in the midfield when we have the ball. Too many times we get stuck passing it from center back to center back and I really think the problem is that gini, hendo, emre, or whoever is in that midfield three are not moving off the ball enough to get into open spaces to receive passes, especially in the center of the field. I am not sure if this is to leave space for Bobby to come back and receive the ball, but to me we are too easy to defend when teams just set up with two lines of 4 because our players are not moving enough off the ball to drag defenders out of position.

4) idk what happened to matip, at the start of last season I was very impressed with his ability to find passes out of the defense, but this year that has been his biggest weakness and it has cost us at times.

5) I think Phil and mane both being hurt can be a blessing. This is the first time in a long time that Studge has been healthy and in the squad consistently. I think what he said after the game last week is correct, he is better when he is consistently playing and I think he finally will get that chance. Hopefully he will start to find the form he had 3 years ago.

6) just to put things in perspective, the season is still very early and it really gets me mad when people are already counting us out or saying our season is in trouble, at this point last year Chelsea did not look like they had a chance at the title and we looked like we were the best team in England. a lot can change come may and all the negative comments and hate that is put towards our squad will not help.

There you go, just a bunch of random thoughts that I wanted to get off my chest.

YNWA
ELROBBENINO.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

01 Nov 2017 15:03:30
I have a few comments on your thoughts:

on point 1 and 2, I know we all know the problem area in the team at the minute is centre back but I know Lovren is looking bad and getting a lot of grief (the so called fans who sent death treats should be named and shammed and reported to the police absolute @@@@@@@) I think he should be dropped but I really don't think a player who looked god at Southampton can be should a wreck, now lots of you guys want Gomez to replace him right now and it might be the right move but you guys need to realise that all our centre half are right sided which means your tackling with your weaker side and takes a lot of time to adjust to I even heard rio Ferdinand describe how hard it is to play opposite side to what your used to and you English guys really rate him so when Gomez slots in for Lovren be ready for some of the same not because he's a bad player he's inexperienced and also a right sided centre half.

On point 3 static midfield, the old Liverpool teams when i grew up always played pass and move, small triangles and youths where coached in this, simplicity really but our current static-ness in my opinion is mainly because of Henderson to many times he moves towards the ball receives it gives it straight back and waits in same spot to receive it again, pass and move simply really, I know people will say he plays great cross field passes at times but you got to realise his accuracy ain't that good, if you throw enough darts you will hit the bull sometimes. Gini slows the game down at times pirouetting in circles, Cans accuracy suffers at times but he does thrust forward and is always open to receive the ball and looks to go forward.

On point 4, I don't think he's our biggest problem this year but I also think he also looks a wreck at times im hoping its just a confidence thing that's trickling down from others and he can pick up his game.

on point 5 its never a blessing to be missing 2 of your best players my friend and in my opinion the last few games have just solidified what I thought preseason Sturridge shouldn't start a game he's now an impact sub at best his injuries have taken its toll and id rather see Solanke get the start he looks good in cameos and Id like to see what he can do in a run of games.

i agree with 6th point totally, criticism can be given but it has to constructive not that anyone listens anyway lol.

01 Nov 2017 15:29:07
good post elrobbie. I know what you mean about people writing us off already. it is ridiculous. And people saying Klopp is an idiot who should be sacked! I've said this before and I will say it again. If you lot had had your way you would have sacked Alex Ferguson after his first two years.

01 Nov 2017 17:17:01
If us lot would’ve had our way, we’d have had Ferguson sacked? 🤔

We’ll yes, Superred, I’m pretty sure most Liverpool fans would’ve loved to get Ferguson sacked!

What’s that got to do with the Klopp bashers?

🤔.

01 Nov 2017 11:23:23
Just to let you know there's a lot of fans voting for lovern for player of the month as a way of showing support while he's going through hard times at the min. Yes we all know he's not been the best player by a mile but I thought it was a nice thing to do.
It's on the Liverpool web site if anyone is interested YNWA.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - great idea that.}

01 Nov 2017 11:36:28
Great idea! Just voted for him. He is in second position currently. First is obviously Mo salah cuz people in egypt just can't stop voting for him. let's show our support to Dejan.

01 Nov 2017 11:37:17
Is there anyway of doing a link ed?

{Ed001's Note - good idea: Player of the Month vote

01 Nov 2017 11:46:26
Brilliant, thanks for letting us know I just voted for him, looks like Salah will get it but even if Lovren comes second it'll be good.

01 Nov 2017 12:11:19
Do people not find this a bit condescending towards Lovern. He's like " I only won this award because of an idiotic fan " I would think a round of applause in the 6th minute the next time he plays at Anfield. Just an opinion.

01 Nov 2017 12:13:09
what a wonderful idea ed. I just voted. let's spread the link and get him the award to boost some confidence. Salah is ahead.

01 Nov 2017 12:30:50
Yarmouth to me it’s just a very nice way of saying we are not all idiot scum who don’t deserve to support our amazing club. I think he would realise that it’s a way to support him he would know that it’s not for the way he’s playing.

01 Nov 2017 12:37:49
Voted for Lovren. Does not matter if Salah wins it still shows our support WE ARE LIVERPOOL YNWA.

01 Nov 2017 12:46:13
I see what you are saying Yarmouth but hopefully it will allow him to realise the majority of fans do not support those who find it normal to send death threats to his family.

It’s about his mentality and if we, as fans can’t help him through that crap he’s been through then that’s pretty poor.

01 Nov 2017 13:01:45
upvote for lovren, the 6th minute applause would be nice too.
ynwa.

01 Nov 2017 15:39:35
I just voted for him. He is our best CB and has done some amazing things for us. People need to remember that. we have such short memories us football fans. Remember the header in the Europa league semi final! He was a god in Liverpool after that.

It is pretty obvious that he is a nice guy, we have to be careful when making judgements about players, who we have never met, or don't know personally, but I really think Dejan is a good guy, Strong but firm. I hope Dejan can recover from problems in his personal life. I can only speak for myself but I wish him all the best and can't wait for him to don the red jersey again. His next game will be a clean sheet, i'm sure of that.

All the best Dejan, love you man. YNWA.

Any way to show we support our own is a good idea - the guy may not be my first pick to start at CB but he cares for the club and we should care for him.

Hope he manages to recover from a tough patch to go on to a great career either with us or elsewhere. Our thoughts are with you Dejan.

I just voted for him. No point kicking a man when he's down.

01 Nov 2017 17:13:11
Voted great idea this and I'm disappointed in those as fans who have stooped so low,
Would be a fantastic show of unity if he won.

Just to let you all know Lovren won the vote great show of support lads shows the good side of the LFC family.

How are we all today? This is my first champions league game tonight can't wait! Hoping chamberlain and sturridge start, should be blowing this team out the water so let's hope for a good night.

I think Klopp is going to stick with his regular team, maybe at most making 1 or 2 changes. That should be enough for an easy win. I wish he would use this opportunity to give some of the younger players a bit of a go though! Would love to see Woodburn starting, maybe even my boy Grujic too!

Red Sandman.

Really hope you enjoy it ST. Must be a great feeling watching your mate play at the min.

01 Nov 2017 11:22:34
I think woody is playing for the unders isn't he? I'm not sure but would agree I'd like to see them get a chance, and Ye "longthing76" lol I'm very pleased with his situation at the moment .

01 Nov 2017 13:54:23
Reckon Joe ever pop's on to the website for a look, ST? :)

01 Nov 2017 15:44:09
lets not take this team for granted boys. we won 7 0 but we were sensational. they can play, and they can beat top teams. They will be far more defencive tonight, being away. And could frustrate us or even nick a goal.

We need to play a strong side, this is the champions league, not the carraboo cup. There are no donkeys in the worlds elite football competition.

01 Nov 2017 09:07:44
Eds do you see Danny Ward looking for a transfer away in January? he's getting to an age now where he needs to be starting games at a high level especially after doing so well at Huddersfield last season.

{Ed001's Note - I expect him to go out on loan then to be honest.}

Good luck tonight Liverpool YNWA 👊🏼.

Some good news lads, Mohamed Salah was not called up for the upcoming international break by Mr. Hector Cuper to give him a well deserved rest due to playing too much football lately. Wish all international managers were a bit like that.

Last game against Maribor we could've quite easily won 10-0. Now we're at Anfield do you expect us to do them over like the other week? I do! let's make it double figures ;)

Seriously hope the players don't have that kind of mentality, complacency is the bigger teams worst enemy, 5% drop in the mental application at the top level is enough for a much better team not to win a match they are easily expected to win.

01 Nov 2017 09:01:25
KloppisaKloon - Good job I'm not a player and just a fan then mate isn't it :)

01 Nov 2017 09:05:21
it almost never happens like this. more likely if we win that it'd be summin like 2 or 3-0.

01 Nov 2017 09:08:58
I'm expecting similar to saturday Corleone, cagey first half with the crowd getting on their back, then a few goals in second. 3-0 would be my prediction.

We only stuffed them away from home due to the early goal it ruined their game plan.

01 Nov 2017 09:13:35
Yeah man, that why i said the players ;) Nothing wrong in wanting LFC to win 10-0, that's my dream for every single game mate :)

01 Nov 2017 09:18:35
Lol I'd love to see it, but I know it probably won't happen, hell I'd be happy with 1-0, a wins a win to me mate :)

01 Nov 2017 10:07:39
I will go for 5-1 tonight.

01 Nov 2017 11:31:27
I'll take a win however it comes. but I'm sure the boys will go out to try and make a point and without any complacency. Maribor will come with an extremely defensive brief looking for nothing more than to stifle our attacking play.

01 Nov 2017 08:30:17
Ed001 if you are about, a penny for your thoughts?

I'm going to assume Klopp still wants Karius as first choice long term and would like Ward to be the competition. Who do you see as the 3rd choice keeper?

Will we look to an experienced head like Shay Given or Iker Casillas?

Or will we trust one of the academy lads such as Shamal George or Kamil Grabara?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - it will be an experienced older head, as is the norm these days. Makes no sense to me to keep a 3rd choice keeper round just in case you need one, but there you go.}

01 Nov 2017 08:56:36
Ed Danny Ward must be pulling his hair out wondering what he is doing wrong mate.

{Ed001's Note - he is certainly not happy being 3rd choice.}

01 Nov 2017 09:02:15
Cheers for the reply. I don't mind having an older keeper, as long as they help out the kids.

Hope it is not Casillas fir that reason. Maybe Weidenfeller could rejoin up for Klopp 😂.

01 Nov 2017 09:15:25
Weidenfeller, that's hilarious MK :) :) hehehe, let Ward and Karius learn from the most average GK Germany has produced in the last 20 years. I think you should take some football badges MK scouser, i feel like you live football anyway. Save some money and get you scouting badges MAN!

01 Nov 2017 09:30:27
I know mate 😂 my Weidenfeller suggestion wasn't serious, hence the laughing face! It is the sort of thing i could see Klopp doing though!

Summer 2018, three Bundesliga marquee signings unveiled; Weidenfeller, Subotic and Zimmer (frame)!

Honestly I'd rather just let Grabara be 3rd choice. He's doing decent for the u23's in my opinion so why not?

01 Nov 2017 10:34:11
I knew you were being sarcastic mate :) I think most clubs want an older experienced GK as their 3rd choice. But i agree, i've heard a lot of good things about Grabara as well.

01 Nov 2017 15:58:26
A third choice keeper has little chance of playing - it should be either an aging keeper passing on their knowledge or a talented junior playing u23 but capable stepping up in a crisis

I would be happy if we let Migs go in Jan and stuck with Karius, Ward and Grabara and if Karius doesn’t take the opportunity then to sign a top keeper in the summer.
